> Not a huge hit: the same team's restock-reminder app ranks #1 in the Netherlands shopping Top Grossing, pulling in collectors and stall owners. # 8 ratings got it into the top-grossing chart: a Dutch card app, where the real money comes from card-fair vendors

**What it is** A card-collection valuation app from a Dutch team, covering Pokémon and other trading cards, pricing by country and condition using Cardmarket euro prices. It also has a mobile POS for card-fair vendors, SumUp card payments, VAT reports for second-hand goods, and webshop inventory sync.

**Why it took off** It hasn't really taken off: the same team's restock-alert app is #1 in the Dutch Shopping top-grossing chart and pulled collectors and vendors over. A small number of high-priced vendor subscriptions is enough to land it in the top 50 of the Dutch Finance top-grossing chart, where the bar is very low.

**B** **How you could approach it** Don't build another euro-valuation app. Build a POS and VAT-bookkeeping tool for card-fair vendors in one country (say Germany or France), and sign them up stall by stall at the fairs themselves.

Grade B: the European card-fair vendor POS plus second-hand VAT gap is real and little known. But the market is small, TCGHeart's launch leaned on sister-app users that followers won't have, and it has already set up 8 languages ahead of a push into Germany and France. Few people know about it yet

A Dutch Pokémon card app called TCGHeart launched in Jul 15. By Nov 6 it had only 8 ratings, and it hasn't gained one in 10 days. Yet it has stayed in the Dutch App Store Finance top-grossing chart between #25 and #47. Three reasons: it found a group willing to pay €25 to €90 a month, namely card dealers who set up stalls at weekend card fairs; the same team already had a Dutch #1 restock-alert app, so users were ready-made; and the bar for top-grossing in the Dutch "Finance" category is absurdly low. Below, one by one, and at the end whether it's worth following.

### The same Charizard sells for €815 in the Netherlands and €476 elsewhere

On Aug 29, 2026, the TCGHeart team posted a set of their own price checks on their blog: a first-edition Base Set Charizard (4/102), Near Mint condition. That same day, the lowest asking price on Cardmarket from a Dutch seller was €815.99, from a UK seller €737.31, and the cheapest of the countries they track was €476.22. Same card, same condition, same day.

This is the story TCGHeart tells collectors: US collection apps give dollar prices, and converting those to euros still reflects the US market. Even within Europe, a single "average" is often inaccurate. So it pulls the lowest Cardmarket asking price by "which country you're in × what condition the card is in", and when a grade has no listings, it tells you clearly which grade it fell back to, such as "no Good price, showing Excellent".

That's done thoughtfully. But it isn't why TCGHeart charted.

### What it is

The developer, Dynamic Software Development, is a small Dutch studio with two apps on the App Store: TCGSniper (Pokémon restock alerts), launched in April, and TCGHeart, launched in July.

TCGHeart has two sides:

- **For collectors** : card scanning (single cards, continuous scanning, or scanning a whole binder page of 9 cards at once), portfolio value curves, set-completion progress, PSA/ACE graded card prices, a trade calculator, and price-drop alerts. 20 free scans, then Pro at €5.99 a month or €59.99 a year.

- **For vendors (Vendor tier)** : the phone works as the till. Card payments go through the vendor's own SumUp on the phone, and cash and Tikkie are logged too. When someone brings a stack of cards to sell, scan them, enter "buy at X% of market value", and the total appears immediately, with the cards added to inventory at that cost. Sales reports default to the margeregeling (the second-hand scheme where VAT is only charged on margin), exportable as CSV by day, payment method, and channel. There's also a public shelf page with a QR code, so customers can browse on their phones at the stall. **The Business tier** adds Shopify, WooCommerce, and eBay inventory sync on top: a card sold at the stall is delisted from the webshop straight away.

Dutch in-app purchase pricing (App Store, 11-06): Vendor tier €24.99 to €88.99; Business in S/M/L tiers, €34.99, €49.99, €89.99.

The website now says it supports Pokémon, One Piece, Lorcana, and Riftbound, has 8 languages, and offers a web version and an Android version. But the store description and the August blog post still only mention Pokémon.

### How big is it: very small

| Metric | Metric |
|---|---|
| iOS ratings | 8 in the Netherlands (5.0 ratings), 0 in Belgium; 10-28 to 11-06 new ratings |
| Dutch Finance top-grossing chart | 10-28 #28 → 10-30 #47 → 11-04 #25 → 11-06 #38 |
| Belgian Finance top-grossing chart | From #99 and #113 all the way to #43 on 11-06 |
| Android | 500+ downloads (AppBrain) |
| TikTok @tcgheart | 264 followers, 48 videos, 570 likes in total |
| X | Posts mentioning it in the past 90 days: 0 |

To judge whether 8 ratings can reach the top-grossing chart, look at what that chart is like. On 11-06, the Dutch Finance top-grossing #30, Easy Invoice Maker, had 35 ratings; #39 JrKripto had only 15; #100 Veyno had only 5. In other words, on this chart, **a few vendor subscriptions or annual fees of €25 to €90 a day are enough to hold #25 to #45** (estimate; Apple doesn't disclose revenue).

If it sat in the Reference category, it would be competing with older apps like Collectr (2,1,745 ratings in the Dutch Reference top-grossing) and Dex (11,825 ratings), and cracking the top 50 would be hard. So choosing Finance is half positioning (it calls itself a "card portfolio") and half practical: it's easier to be seen on an obscure chart.

### Where users come from: mainly sister apps

**Pulled in from TCGSniper (confirmed).** TCGSniper does restock alerts: when a store gets a new Pokémon box, it pushes the alert to you immediately. Over the 10-28 to 11-06 period (10 days), it was #1 on the Dutch App Store Shopping top-grossing chart on 8 days and #2 on the other two; its website claims 12,500+ users and 8,300+ Discord members. TCGHeart has secured several fixed placements through it: TCGSniper's product pages carry a "TCGHeart PROMOTED" ad slot, the team previewed it on the blog in May, and in August turned that into a launch announcement. Even the demand came from there. In the blog's words: while building TCGSniper, heavy users kept coming back with the same question: "Okay, I know when it's in stock, but what do I have, and how do I keep track?"

**Local Dutch communities (confirmed).** A launch post appeared on r/PokeCollectorsNL on Reddit, titled "TCGHeart is live – de TCG-app voor verzamelaars, standhouders en traders in Europa" (the card app for collectors, vendors, and traders in Europe), and the same content went up on the Facebook page. On Instagram it ran a joint giveaway with card shops such as Cardstore, and it has a "standhouders in de spotlight" (vendor spotlight) series.

**The fair calendar pulls vendors in (confirmed).** The app has a card-fair calendar sourced from Pokeradar.nl. A vendor registers for a fair and appears on that fair's list, with the cards they're bringing and their stall number. Visitors can follow vendors and get notified when a followed vendor registers for a new fair. For vendors, this is free exposure and a reason to sign up early.

**Content and SEO (confirmed).** The TCGSniper site has many Dutch-language guides, such as "Pokémon restock-alert Nederland", which also plug TCGHeart. tcgheart.com has landing pages in 8 languages and use-case pages like /features/vendor.

**Paid ads: none found.** Neither app shows up in the public Meta or TikTok ad records, but absence there doesn't mean no spend.

### Who it's competing with

The collector side is crowded:

| Product | Scale | Compared with TCGHeart |
|---|---|---|
| Collectr | 1,745 ratings in NL, 69,432 in the US, claims 2M+ users | Mainly USD / TCGplayer prices, no vendor tools |
| HoloDex | 1,420 ratings in NL, #4 on the free chart | Driven by downloads, only does scanning and collecting |
| Dex | 825 ratings in NL | General multi-TCG collection tool |
| PokéCardex | 4,969 ratings in France | Long-running European card catalog; the Plus tier also has Cardmarket price history |
| CollectHolo, TCG Vault HQ, TCG Album, PokéItem | All small | All competing on "Cardmarket euro prices" |

"Euro valuation" has not been a unique selling point for 2026 years.

In Europe, nobody has yet built a direct rival for the vendor side of this. In the US there are card-show checkout tools like DeckTradr and Double Holo's Vendor Hub. Double Holo switched to free in 2026 October, but they work in dollars and TCGplayer prices, ignore the EU margin scheme for second-hand goods, and don't connect to SumUp or the Dutch card-show calendar. Cardmarket is only a marketplace and doesn't handle what vendors take at their stalls.

### What to learn from it

- **Build a vertical audience with a high-frequency small tool first, then sell a second product to the same people.** Restock alerts get used every day, which builds trust and a Discord. Collection valuation and vendor tools are the next thing that same group asked for.

- **Carve out 'people who do business' inside a collection tool.** Casual collectors balk at €5.99 a month, but vendors pay €25 to €90 for reconciliation and tax. Price by seats, channels, and inventory volume.

- **Use local rules to block generic competitors.** Margeregeling, SumUp, Tikkie, and local card-show calendars are things big US apps won't build specifically for the Netherlands.

- **Pick a low-competition store category** , where a small number of high-priced subscriptions can get you onto the Top Grossing chart.

### If it were you

**My take: worth testing, but don't build 'another euro valuation app'. Build the checkout and bookkeeping tool for vendors at card shows in one country.** The gap is real and few people know about it yet. The weak point is that the market is small, and you don't have the ready-made user base that TCGHeart started with.

**Who it suits:** people already in the card scene. Ideally you've run a stall yourself or know vendors, and understand how local second-hand VAT works: Germany calls it Differenzbesteuerung, France calls it régime de la marge, and Italy and Spain have similar schemes.

**Who it doesn't suit:** anyone chasing downloads to climb the charts, anyone trying to build a global collection app, and anyone who doesn't know a single person in the card scene. The collector side already has rivals like Collectr and HoloDex with thousands of ratings. The vendor side probably has only a few hundred to a few thousand potential paying users per country (estimate).

**How to do it:** build only the vendor side, and go deep on one country and one card game. Scan cards and calculate cost from purchase percentages, take payments at the stall through the card and bank transfer methods locals use, produce VAT reports under the local second-hand scheme, and export formats for accountants. Use Cardmarket's numbers for valuation and don't try to beat anyone on detail there. Vendors of newer games like One Piece and Lorcana can also be an entry point.

**How to get users:** go to the card shows. Demo the app at each stall with your phone, free for the first few events. Partner with card-show organizers and card-show calendar sites so vendors start using it when they register. Post in local card Discords and Facebook groups. Don't count on app store search.

**How much time you have:** TCGHeart already covers 8 languages and has a web version, which signals it's heading into Germany, France, and Italy. Germany and France are the two largest markets, and there's probably a window of six months to a year (inference). Once it finishes tax reporting and local payments in Germany, the door gets smaller.

**What would show you're wrong:** if in six months TCGHeart is still ranked 20th to 30th on the Dutch Finance Top Grossing chart with only single-digit ratings, that means few vendors are willing to pay a monthly fee, and the gap can't support a product. Conversely, if Collectr or Cardmarket builds vendor checkout with EU VAT themselves, there's no room left to follow.

| DeckTradr / Double Holo Vendor Hub | iOS | Double Holo 2026-03-12; DeckTradr unverified | Small; Double Holo's Vendor Hub free from 2026-10 | A card-show checkout tool from the US that uses USD/TCGplayer prices, with no EU margeregeling VAT and no SumUp |
| Cardmarket | Web | Long-established | Europe's largest card trading marketplace | Only a marketplace; doesn't track personal collection value or handle vendor checkout at stalls |

Where users come from

- **Verified** **Sister product TCGSniper cross-promotes:** same developer. TCGSniper spent 8 of 10 days as #1 in the Dutch Shopping category, claims 12,500+ users and 8,300+ Discord members. Product pages have a 'TCGHeart PROMOTED' ad slot; the blog previewed it on 2026-05-06, then changed it to a launch announcement on 08-29

- **Verified** **Local Dutch communities:** launch post on Reddit r/PokeCollectorsNL; launch post on the Facebook page

- **Verified** **Card-show vendor and store partnerships, giveaways:** co-branding with Instagram and Cardstore shops, ETB giveaways, vendor spotlight series; the card-show calendar (data from Pokeradar) lets vendors sign up

- **Verified** **SEO and content:** Dutch-language guides on the TCGSniper site, plus landing pages in 8 languages on tcgheart.com and scenario pages like /features/vendor

- Inference **Picked a low-competition store category:** placed under Finance; Dutch Finance Top Grossing ranks #30–40 are apps with only 15–70 ratings (library chart_rank 2026-11-06)

- Inference **Paid ads:** not found in the metaads / tiktokads libraries; those libraries don't track this product, which doesn't mean it hasn't been advertised

## TCGHeart (iOS 6761116483): research report

> Bottom line: TCGHeart **hasn't actually broken out yet** . It reached the Dutch Finance Top Grossing chart at #25–47 for three reasons combined: first, the bar to reach the Top Grossing chart in the Dutch Finance category is extremely low; second, the Vendor/Business tier has a high unit price (€24.99–89.99); third, its sister product TCGSniper is already established in the Netherlands (#1 on the Shopping Top Grossing chart) and funneled a batch of ready-made users over. What really sets it apart is **checkout, inventory, and VAT (margeregeling) tools for card-show vendors** . If it were only 'euro Cardmarket valuation', there are already plenty of competitors.

Data as of: 2026-11-06. 'Library' refers to our own appstore / googleplay / metaads / tiktokads libraries.

### 1. What it is

- Developer Dynamic Software Development, a small Dutch software studio (website dynamic-development.nl, stack Next.js / FastAPI / Expo). The studio has only two apps on the App Store: TCGSniper (2026-04-19) and TCGHeart (2026-07-15). Sources: iTunes lookup, dynamic-development.nl.

- The product does three things: Pokémon card collection valuation (card scanning, full binder page scanning, portfolio value curves, set completion progress, PSA/ACE graded card prices, trade calculator, card-show calendar, messaging), with 20 free scans; Pro is €5.99/month or €59.99/year. The **Vendor tier** is for card-show vendors: phone as cash register, triggers SumUp card payments, takes cards by percentage and calculates cost automatically, produces VAT reports under margeregeling (the second-hand goods 'VAT on margin' scheme), shares inventory across multiple staff, and offers a public QR-code shelf page. The **Business tier** adds Shopify / WooCommerce / eBay inventory sync. Sources: App Store description, tcgheart.com/pricing, tcgheart.com/features/vendor.

- In-app purchase prices in the Dutch App Store: Pro €5.99, Pro Yearly €59.99, Vendor €24.99 / €64.99 / €72.99 / €80.99 / €88.99, Business S/M/L €34.99 / €49.99 / €89.99 (apps.apple.com/nl, 2026-11-06).

- The website now says it supports four card games (Pokémon, One Piece, Lorcana, Riftbound), with 8 interface languages, plus a web version and an Android version. The store description and 2026-08-29's blog still only mention Pokémon.

### 2. Data: how big it actually is

| Metric | Value | Source |
|---|---|---|
| iOS ratings | 8 in the Netherlands (5.0 stars), 0 in Belgium; 10/28–11/06 zero new | Database app_day |
| Dutch Finance Top Grossing rank | 10/28 #28 → 10/29 #45 → 10/30 #47 → 10/31 #29 → 11/01 #39 → 11/02 #28 → 11/04 #25 → 11/06 #38 | Database app_day |
| Belgian Finance Top Grossing rank | #99 → #113 → #43 → #29 → … → 11/06 #43 | Database app_day |
| Bar for the Dutch Finance Top Grossing chart | 11/06 #30 Easy Invoice Maker has only 35 ratings, #36 Zoya has 25, #39 JrKripto has 15, #40 Bilance has 24, and #100 Veyno has only 5 | Library chart_rank |
| Android | AppBrain shows 500+ downloads; it has never charted in any of our googleplay library charts | appbrain.com, library |
| TikTok @tcgheart | 264 followers, 48 videos, 570 likes in total | TikHub |
| X | Posts mentioning TCGHeart / TCGSniper in the past 90 days: 0 | x-radar |

Bottom line: install volume is very small. The chart ranking mostly shows that the Dutch "Finance" category has a low bar. Based on the price, **a few €25–90 Vendor/Business subscriptions or annual plans a day would be enough to hold #25–45** (this is an inference, not verified). If it were placed in "Reference," it would be ranked against older apps like Collectr (#2,1,745 by rating count in the Dutch Reference category) and Dex (#11,825 by rating count), and it would be hard to crack the top 50. Choosing "Finance" is partly positioning ("card portfolio"), but in practice the effect is that it stands out more on a quiet chart.

### 3. Competitors

| Product | Where | Launched | Scale (Dutch ratings count, etc.) | How TCGHeart differs |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Collectr | iOS/Android | 2022-01-31 | 1,745 in the Netherlands, 69,432 in the US; Dutch Reference Top Grossing #2; claims 2M+ users | Collectr is mainly in USD / TCGplayer and doesn't show Cardmarket prices by country; no vendor checkout or VAT features |
| Dex – for TCG Collectors | iOS | 2021-03-08 | 825 in the Netherlands, 14,419 in the US; Dutch Reference Top Grossing #11 | General multi-card-game collection tool with no card-show checkout |
| HoloDex – TCG Scan & Collect | iOS | 2025-09-08 | 1,420 in the Netherlands; Top Free #4 | Mostly scanning and collecting, driven by downloads; does not do merchant features |
| PokéCardex | iOS/web | 2023-08-07 | France 4,969, Germany 669, Netherlands 80 | An established European card catalog; the Plus version has Cardmarket price history (from €3.99); no merchant features |
| CollectHolo | iOS/Android/web | 2026 years (unverified) | Unverified; their own article claims to be “Europe's No. 1” | Also focuses on Cardmarket euro valuation, with more free core features; no card-show checkout |
| TCG Vault HQ / TCG Album / PokéItem / TCGPriceTracker | iOS/Android/web | 2026-03 and others | All small | Both lead with the “Cardmarket euro price” selling point, which shows euro valuation is no longer unique |
| PriceCharting / TCGplayer / Dragon Shield scanning | iOS | 2017–2023 | Netherlands 512 / 41 / 348 | US eBay / TCGplayer prices, or scanning only |
| DeckTradr, Double Holo Vendor Hub | iOS/web (US) | DeckTradr unverified; Double Holo 2026-03-12 | Small; Double Holo 2026-10 and up, Vendor Hub free | A US card-show checkout tool using USD / TCGplayer prices. It has no EU margeregeling VAT, no SumUp, and does not connect to the Dutch card-show calendar |
| Cardmarket official | Web/app | Long-established | Europe's largest card trading marketplace | Only a marketplace; doesn't track personal collection value or handle vendor checkout at stalls |

The competitive picture: **the “euro / Cardmarket valuation” lane has been crowded for 2026 years already (CollectHolo, TCG Vault, TCG Album, PokéItem, etc.)** . **I found no direct rival for “card-show vendor checkout + VAT tools for European sellers”** . The US has similar tools like DeckTradr and Double Holo, but they don't handle EU tax.

### 4. Where users came from (growth tactics)

1. **Cross-promotion from sister product TCGSniper (confirmed)** . TCGSniper does restock alerts. On 8 of the 10 days between 10/28 and 11/06, it ranked #1 in the Netherlands Shopping Top Grossing chart (the other days #2), and #3–18 in the Belgium equivalent (library app_day). Its website claims 12,500+ users and 8,300+ Discord members (tcgsniper.nl). Our Google Play library records about 2,868 installs. TCGSniper has several fixed entry points for TCGHeart:
    - The blog ran a teaser on 2026-05-06 and rewrote it as a launch announcement on 08-29;
    - Product pages carry a “TCGHeart PROMOTED” ad slot (tcgsniper.nl/en/product/…);
    - The two apps are linked to each other on AppBrain;
    - TCGHeart's official blog says that while building TCGSniper, “power users kept coming back with the same second question… how do I keep track of what I own?” So the demand came from TCGSniper's existing users.

2. **Local Dutch community (confirmed)** . A launch post on Reddit r/PokeCollectorsNL reads “TCGHeart is live – de TCG-app voor verzamelaars, standhouders en traders in Europa.” The Facebook page posted the same launch.

3. **Card-show vendors and shop partnerships (confirmed, small scale)** . Instagram has co-branded posts with card shops such as Cardstore, including a giveaway for the “30th Celebration ETB.” There's also a “standhouders in de spotlight” series profiling card-show vendors. The card-show calendar data comes from Pokeradar.nl. Vendors can sign up on the calendar and visitors can follow shows, and this feature is itself drawing vendors in.

4. **Content and SEO (confirmed)** . TCGSniper's site has a lot of Dutch guides (such as “Pokémon restock-alert Nederland” and “collectie waarde bijhouden Europa”) that also promote TCGHeart. tcgheart.com has landing pages in 8 languages and use-case pages like /features/vendor.

5. **Paid ads (no evidence found)** . Neither the metaads nor the tiktokads library has any advertiser records for it or for TCGSniper. The ad libraries only track products on our list, so the absence of records doesn't mean no spend. Recorded as unverified.

6. **App Store category choice (inferred)** . It sits in the Finance category. The Dutch Finance Top Grossing chart has a low bar, so a small number of high-priced subscriptions can chart, and storefront exposure follows.

### 5. Why it took off (to a limited extent)

- **An existing user base and trust** : TCGSniper is the top name in the Dutch restock-alert niche (#1 in Dutch Shopping Top Grossing), so TCGHeart is effectively cross-selling to the same hardcore collectors and vendors.

- **High ticket size** : the Vendor and Business tiers cost €25–90 per month. The people paying are vendors and shops running a business, not ordinary collectors. This is the only way to explain how 8 ratings produced revenue high enough to chart.

- **Low chart bar** : Finance Top Grossing apps ranked #30–40 in the Netherlands had only 15–70 ratings.

- **It targets a local pain point** : the Netherlands and Belgium have many card shows. In the Netherlands, VAT on second-hand cards under margeregeling is a real accounting headache for vendors. Accounting sites like boekhouders.nl have written about VAT on trading cards, and users on r/PokemonTCGNL have asked for “Pokémon kaarten administratie” tools. TCGHeart takes SumUp card payments, charges a percentage per card, and exports VAT CSVs, which fits these needs closely.

### 6. Differentiation

- The collector-facing side: it pulls the lowest Cardmarket ask by country × condition rather than an average, states clearly when it falls back to another tier, and prices regular, holo, graded, and sealed products separately. It's more detailed than comparable tools, but CollectHolo, PokéCardex and TCG Vault all lead with “euro Cardmarket,” so **this is not why it charted** .

- The merchant-facing side: card-show checkout, SumUp, margeregeling VAT, shared inventory, online shop inventory sync, and signing up for card shows on the calendar. **This is its real differentiator, and the source of its chart position** (inferred: a few high-tier subscriptions carry the ranking). US comparables like DeckTradr and Double Holo don't handle EU tax and don't plug into the Dutch card-show ecosystem.

### 7. Visibility

**Few people know about it yet.** No public revenue (no TrustMRR listing, no founder revenue posts). Zero mentions on X in 90 days, no press coverage, and only 264 TikTok followers. It's discussed only sporadically in Dutch Pokémon circles (r/PokeCollectorsNL, Instagram co-branded posts).

### 8. Copycats

I found no product built specifically to copy it. Many similar tools launched in the euro-valuation lane around the same time (TCG Vault HQ 2026-03, Unbinder 2026-08, CollectHolo, etc.), but that's parallel competition, not copying.

### 9. What others can learn

- **Build a high-frequency niche utility to gather a vertical user base, then sell a second product to the same users** : TCGSniper (restock alerts, which earned community and trust) → TCGHeart (collection valuation + merchant tools). The demand for the second product came straight from the first product's existing users.

- **Carve out the high-ticket “vendor / merchant” segment within a collector tool** : tiered by seats, scans, and channels, at €25–90 per month. Then use local tax (margeregeling) and local payments (SumUp, Tikkie) to keep generic competitors out.

- **Pick a low-bar store category** (Finance rather than Reference), so a small number of high-priced subscriptions can earn Top Grossing exposure.

- Take the playbook to other countries: card-show vendors in Germany, France and Italy face similar VAT rules and also use SumUp. The site already runs in 8 languages, so it's clearly preparing for this.

### 10. Still unclear

- Actual paying users and revenue: Apple doesn't disclose them. “A few high-priced subscriptions carry the ranking” is an inference.

- How many vendors actually use Vendor/Business: no public figure.

- How many of TCGSniper's claimed 12,500 users converted to TCGHeart users.

- Whether it runs Meta / TikTok ads: our ad libraries don't track these two products.
