# "How Do I Transform?": an iOS skin pack for a Re Jiang private server, and the path behind it you shouldn't take

**What it is** On the outside it's a gaming news app. It redirects users from a private server website to a download, and once it reads a clipboard code, it "transforms" into an iOS skin pack for a Re Jiang / Legend private server game box. Revenue comes from in-game top-ups on the private server site.

**Why it took off** Re Jiang private server players want to grind for gold while idle, and on iOS there's never been a reliable way to install these clients. The private server websites send iOS users to the App Store to install these wrappers, and the China store's low bar for the free Entertainment chart means a daily trickle of ratings is enough to stay on the chart.

**E** **Can you copy it?** Don't copy the disguised-app play. What you can take are three legit moves: web-to-App clipboard attribution, the low-bar category charts, and claiming an unowned nickname for an old game (like "热江") with a proper guide or community product.

E grade: it's a distribution piece for private-server operations. The traffic comes from the private server's own website, and followers can't get it. Private servers carry criminal copyright risk, the hidden features break Apple's review rules, user top-ups have no protection, and by publishing it you become the listed entity for an infringing business. Few people know about it yet

Re Jiang Players' Camp (热江玩家营地), Oct 22, launched on the China App Store with a store page that reads "game news," and its 20 ratings put it at #58 to #83 on the Entertainment Free chart. It's actually an iOS entry point for Legend of Mir / Legend private servers, disguised as a news app to get through review. This piece covers how it works, where users come from, why now, and why we don't recommend following it, but there are three legitimate things you can take from it.

### A four-word review

Oct 26, a user called "溪溪溪风" left a review on the Re Jiang Players' Camp store page: "how do I transform" (怎么变身). Two days later another user was blunter: "What junk, opening it isn't the Legend box at all." Around Nov 4 someone answered the question: "You can only get it by searching in the browser and downloading through the redirect." The same day another review said: "Garbage platform, top-ups never arrived and nobody handles it." (App Store China, all 4 visible reviews)

These four reviews tell the whole story: people who download it were looking for the "Legend box" in the first place; download it straight from the store and you get a news page; download it from a certain web page and it "transforms" into a game box; and top-ups inside the box bypass Apple's payments.

### What it is

On its store page: "Offers rich game news and content sharing, covering game news, version updates, event announcements, patch notes, and strategy analysis." Several things don't add up:

- A news app weighing 483 MB likely bundles a game engine and assets (inferred);

- The bundle ID is `com.mevora.pixcraft`, "Pixel Workshop," which has nothing to do with "Re Jiang";

- In Jun 30 it was listed in the US, Hong Kong, and Taiwan stores under this bundle; in Aug 18 it shipped 1.1; in Oct 22 it opened the China store and was renamed "Re Jiang Players' Camp" at the same time;

- The developer is a personal account with only this one app, and the privacy policy sits on a random-letter domain;

- Only English is listed as the language.

The industry calls these apps "disguise packs" or "transform packs": side A is a shell for Apple's reviewers and passersby, side B is the real functionality. The switch is usually the clipboard. When a user taps download on a web landing page, the page writes a passphrase to the clipboard; the first time the app opens it reads the clipboard, and if it finds the passphrase it switches to side B, otherwise it stays a news page. A GitHub repo collecting these packs gives users these steps: "Open the official site in your browser and tap download. After downloading, open the app, tap Allow Paste, then tap Get Version, and you're transformed" (Archmage83/ios_ipa, 217 stars).

### Where users come from

**A private-server website sends people straight here (confirmed).** The official site of a Re Jiang private server has a page titled "How iOS users download Re Jiang!", offering two methods: one, install an emulator on a computer, "keep at it for a few days and you can get the iOS version"; two, "iOS users search for 游昕游戏盒子 in the Apple App Store to download... once the game box is installed, paste the game link into it," with a customer-service WeChat left underneath (private-server site page, read by 11-06). 游昕 is a different box, but the route is identical. Re Jiang Players' Camp feeds on exactly this traffic: the private-server site tells players to install a shell from the store, then bring the link or passphrase in.

**Searching "热江" in the store (inferred).** Only 5 apps in the China store have "热江" or "热血江湖" in their names; the other 4 are legitimate games, such as Longtu's 2017 "Legend of Mir Mobile" and this July's "Legend of Mir: Awakening." The player nickname "热江" is almost unclaimed. The first review, "how do I transform," suggests someone found it by searching and had no passphrase in hand.

**Similar disguise apps cross-promote (inferred).** The "You May Also Like" section at the bottom of its store page is full of Legend private-server disguise apps: 烈火霸主, 笑傲乾坤, 沙城奇霸, 封剑神录, and so on. Most launched between 3 this year and August, have dozens of ratings, and sit around #100 to #200 on the Entertainment Top Grossing chart. A cloud-phone app's "You May Also Like" also features it, since the people running private servers on cloud phones and the people downloading this are the same crowd.

**The small category chart has a low bar (confirmed).** From Oct 28 to Nov 6, its ratings grew from 5 to 20, adding 0 to 4 a day, with ranks 77, 67, 69, 58, 66, 66, 72, 82, 83, 81 (App Store China, Entertainment Free chart). One or two ratings a day, matched by downloads, is enough to hold a spot on this chart.

It doesn't appear on X, in the press, or on TikTok. Products like this never speak in public channels.

### Why now

The demand has always been there; the iOS entry point has always been missing. Private servers' "bounty" and "gold-farming" editions promote "stable drops of ingots from small mobs after level 35" and "idle overnight and earn thousands of ingots" (a promo post on Bilibili). Players need to leave it running for long stretches, and a phone is essential. Android is easy to sideload; iOS only has enterprise signing (which gets revoked by Apple, so you have to manually "trust" the certificate), emulators, cloud phones, or shells from the App Store. A shell you can install straight from the store that doesn't stop working is rare for this crowd.

As for why it opened the China store on Oct 22 specifically: one theory is to ride the new Re Jiang version and region in November. This is unverified. What's certain is that the region launch and the rename happened on the same day.

### Where the money comes from

The store page lists it as free, with no visible in-app purchases. The money flows through side B's in-server top-ups, which run on payment channels outside Apple; how the private server splits revenue is invisible from the outside. The review "top-ups never arrived and nobody handles it" shows there is no protection once the money goes in.

### Who it's competing with

| Name | Where | Scale | How it differs |
|---|---|---|---|
| 7723 Game Box - Popular Classic Mobile Game Platform | iOS, listed in the China store 10-19 | Ratings 274 → 862 (10-28 → 11-06), Entertainment Free chart #37–#73 | Another box published by a personal developer account, using the generic "classic mobile games" pitch, with roughly 40× its volume |
| 游昕游戏盒子 | iOS | Not verified | Named and recommended on a private-server website, same route |
| 云尘游戏盒 | Web, iOS via enterprise signing | Not verified | Not on the store; the certificate can be revoked at any time |
| 996 Legend Box | Web / Android / PC | One of the largest aggregation platforms for Legend private servers | Public platform; its iOS version also relies on disguise apps to fill the gap |
| Cloud phones (Hongshou, Leidian, etc.) | iOS | Not verified | The other path: run Android packages in the cloud, with overlapping users |
| Legend private-server disguise app lineup (烈火霸主, 笑傲乾坤…) | iOS, listed between 3 this year and August | Dozens of ratings each | One shell per server; this is a box, so one shell holds multiple servers |

The official Legend of Mir has no "withdrawable gold-farming" economy, and it's not what this crowd wants. No legitimate product builds an "iOS private-server entry point," because the concept itself violates App Store review guidelines (2.3.1 hidden features, 4.3 duplicate apps). The competition is entirely among gray disguise apps.

The product itself has almost no differentiation; it has only a name: "Re Jiang," which private-server sites can label "Re Jiang iOS version." Whether it survives depends on whether private servers keep sending it traffic and when Apple takes it down. Packs like this usually last a few weeks to a few months (inferred).

### If it were you

**The verdict:** Don't follow. This isn't a product that broke out; it's a distribution piece of the private-server business on iOS. Following it means becoming a helper for private servers.

**Why it won't work:** Private servers themselves infringe game copyright and carry criminal risk in China; disguise packs violate Apple's review rules, and the developer account can be banned at any time; users' top-ups go missing with nobody handling it, and when something goes wrong you are the listed entity that can be found. Its traffic comes from the private server's website, which you can't buy yourself; without the private server's referrals, the shell is just a news app nobody uses.

**Who it's for:** Nobody.

**Three things you can take (all legitimate):**

- **Web-to-App clipboard attribution.** A landing page writes a passphrase and the app reads it on first open, used to tell channels apart and take users straight to the content they saw on the web. Services like openinstall do exactly this.

- **Pick the low-bar category charts.** The top 100 spots on the China Entertainment Free chart can be held with single-digit daily new ratings; new apps can run this math when choosing a category.

- **Claim the old game's nickname.** Player slang like "热江" is often empty in store search. A legitimate guide, community, or team-up tool can legally own that term, provided the app actually delivers what the name promises.

**What would mean I got it wrong:** If it stays up for months without being taken down, its ratings climb into the hundreds, and it shows up in tutorials on other private-server sites, Apple's cleanup of this category is looser than I assumed and the window is longer than a few weeks. But that only changes how long it survives; it doesn't change the verdict to stay away.

| 云尘游戏盒 | Other | 2026 years ago | Not verified | iOS uses enterprise signing, requiring a manual certificate trust that can be revoked at any time; this one goes through the App Store, so installing it has no hurdles |
| 7723 Game Box - Popular Classic Mobile Game Platform | iOS | cn 2026-10-19 | CN Entertainment Free chart #37–#73, ratings 274→862 (10-28→11-06) | A box also published by a personal developer account, using a generic pitch with roughly 40× the volume; it only covers Re Jiang/Legend niches |
| 996 Legend Box | Web | Years | One of the largest aggregation platforms for Legend private servers | Public Android/PC platform; it fills the iOS App Store gap instead |
| Cloud phones such as Hongshou and Leidian | iOS | 2026 | Not verified | Runs Android private-server packages in the cloud; a different route from this one, with overlapping user bases |
| Legend private-server clone matrix (Liehuo Bazhu, Xiao'ao Qiankun, Fengjian Shenlu, etc.) | iOS | 2026-03 to 08 | Each with dozens of ratings, cn Entertainment Top Grossing 68–174 | Those are individual private servers listed directly; this one is a box that can hold many servers |
| "Hot Blood Jianghu Mobile" official (Longtu) / "Hot Blood Jianghu: Awakening" | iOS | 2017-04 / 2026-07 | Official games | Official, with no "gold farming, cash out" private server economy; not the same demand |

Where users come from

- **Confirmed** **Private server website/landing page traffic + clipboard switch** : reviews say "only works if you search and download from the browser" and "how do I switch"; the Re Jiang private server site says "iOS users search the Apple store for: You Xin Game Box… paste the game link into it" (mds.hygfyx.com/qwu.html); switch steps "Allow paste → get version to switch" (github.com/Archmage83/ios_ipa)

- Inferred **Riding the store search for the "Re Jiang" IP short term** : the name contains "Re Jiang"; only 5 cn apps have Re Jiang / Hot Blood Jianghu in the name, the rest are real games (appstore library); some users have no code and found it by searching, asking "how do I switch"

- Inferred **Private server clone matrix cross-promoting** : the cn page's "You may also like" is all legend private server clones; Red Hand cloud phone's "You may also like" includes it too

- **Confirmed** **Organic exposure from the low bar of a niche chart** : cn Entertainment Top Free 58–83 only needs 20 ratings, gaining +0~4 per day (appstore library app_day)

## Why the Hot Blood Jianghu player camp (iOS id6785391842) made it onto the charts

> Bottom line: it's not a "product that broke out", it's an **iOS clone pack / switcher pack** . Side A is a "game news" shell to pass review; Side B is a game box for Hot Blood Jianghu / legend-style private servers, and only users who come from a private server website can "switch" to open it. Payments flow back through the private server's in-site top-up. It sits at #58–83 on the cn Entertainment Top Free chart because that chart has a very low bar, plus private server sites keep funneling people here, not because people actively search for it on the App Store.

**What users themselves say (visible App Store cn reviews, 4 total):**

- "How do I switch / how do I change" (10-26, Xi Xi Xi Feng)

- "What junk, opening it isn't a legend box at all" (10-28, Indiscriminate Competitive)

- "How to switch — it only works if you search and download from the browser" (about 11-04, General Competitive)

- "Garbage platform — top-up didn't arrive and nobody handles it" (about 11-04, tas111111)

These four reviews lay out the model: users came to download it for the "legend box"; opening it straight from the store shows the news page (Side A); it only "switches" into the box if you're sent from the browser landing page (Side B); and top-ups work inside the box.

### 2. How it actually works (the clone pack mechanism)

- **Switching** : insiders call this type of App a "switcher / clone pack". A GitHub repo collects these packs, and its steps read: "Open the official site in the browser and tap download. After downloading, open the App, tap Allow Paste, then tap Get Version to switch." ([Archmage83/ios_ipa](https://github.com/Archmage83/ios_ipa), 217 stars). Technically it's **clipboard attribution** : when a user taps download on the H5 landing page, the page writes a code to the clipboard; on launch the App reads the clipboard, and if the code is there it switches to Side B, otherwise it keeps showing Side A to reviewers and ordinary users. This attribution method is itself a legitimate ad attribution technique ([ichdata](https://www.ichdata.com/app-traffic-source-tracking-method-for-ios.html), [woshipm](https://www.woshipm.com/pd/4189974.html)), and here it's used as the "switch". The review "only works if you search and download from the browser" matches this mechanism exactly.

- **The clone pack business logic** : Side A passes review, Side B hides the features; it rides search traffic by putting traffic-friendly names on the App ([CSDN clone pack overview](https://blog.csdn.net/m0_46983722/article/details/142554588), [LTVestbagDemo](https://github.com/lightank/LTVestbagDemo)). Apple strictly polices duplicate Apps under 4.3 rules, so the code, packages and developer accounts keep getting swapped ([Jiemian clone pack investigation](https://m.jiemian.com/article/1314053.html), [Tencent Cloud 4.3 guide](https://developer.cloud.tencent.com/article/1412755)).

- **This one's playbook** : June used the "pixcraft" package to get listed in an overseas store first; August shipped 1.1; Oct 22 opened the China store and renamed it "Re Jiang Player Camp" at the moment Re Jiang private server players were looking for an iOS entry point. The developer account is a personal one with only this App under it, and the privacy domain is a random string; if it gets banned, they just switch to a new account and start over.

### 3. Where users came from (growth tactics)

1. **Direct traffic from private server websites / download pages (main channel, strong evidence)** . The Re Jiang private server sites have long been showing iOS users how to install:
    - The "how iOS users download Re Jiang" page on the Decisive Dawn site: method one is a PC emulator, "stick with it a few days and the iOS version comes out"; method two is "**iOS users search the Apple store for: You Xin Game Box to download** … after the game box is downloaded, paste the game link into it", with customer service on WeChat ([mds.hygfyx.com/qwu.html](http://mds.hygfyx.com/qwu.html)). This is exactly the "game box from the App Store + clipboard/link switch" route.
    - The Re Jiang Bounty Edition promo post on Bilibili gives iOS users this method: open the official site in Safari, download, then "Settings → General → VPN & Device Management → Trust certificate" (enterprise signing); it also lists "Yunchen Game Box official site" as the mobile download page ([bilibili opus](http://www.bilibili.com/opus/1192553478585581572)). Enterprise signing gets revoked by Apple, so a clone pack listed on the App Store is more stable, and that's where its value lies.
    - The review "search and download from the browser" shows users first searching terms like "Re Jiang Apple version / box" in browsers such as Baidu, clicking into the landing page, then being redirected to the App Store to download.

2. **Store searches riding the "Re Jiang" term (inferred)** . Putting "Re Jiang" directly in the name means it turns up when searching "Re Jiang" in the cn store. Only 5 cn apps in the library have "Re Jiang / Hot Blood Jianghu" in the name; the other 4 are real games (Longtu's 2017-year "Hot Blood Jianghu Mobile", 2026-07's "Hot Blood Jianghu: Awakening", etc.), and the short term "Re Jiang" is almost unclaimed (appstore library `app_name`). Reviews show the first user asking "how do I switch", so some people found it through search with no code.

3. **Private server matrix cross-promotion (inferred)** . On the cn page, its "You may also like" is all legend private server clones: Flame Overlord, Flame Chariot, Martial Dominance, Smiling Proud Heaven, Sand City Overlord, King Overlord, Sealed Sword Divine Record, Sweep the World, Open Heaven Hero, Warrior Guard. The few in the library are mostly listed 2026 3–August, have only dozens of ratings, and sit on the Entertainment Top Grossing chart at 68–174 (for example Smiling Proud Heaven at #68 with 68 ratings, Sealed Sword Divine Record at #92 with 37 ratings). The cloud phone App (Red Hand Cloud Phone)'s "You may also like" also includes it ([App Store page](https://apps.apple.com/us/app/6799851092?l=zh-Hans-CN&see-all=customers-also-bought-apps&platform=iphone)), suggesting the people downloading it and the people running private servers on cloud phones are the same crowd.

4. **Not found** : on X (x-radar found 0 posts searching "Re Jiang" in the last 30 days), no media coverage; TikTok and ad libraries not checked (the ad library only tracks products on its list, and this one isn't on it). This kind of product simply doesn't build buzz through public channels.

### 4. Why now, specifically

- **The demand has always been there, and the iOS entry point has always been missing** . Re Jiang private servers (nostalgia edition, group-attack edition, bounty edition…) keep opening new servers. The "bounty / gold farming" gameplay is about "after level 35, small monsters reliably drop yuanbao" and "idle overnight and still earn thousands of yuanbao" ([bilibili](http://www.bilibili.com/opus/1192553478585581572)), and players need to idle for long stretches, so mobile is a must. Android sideloading is easy; on iOS you can only use enterprise signing (which dies when revoked), emulators or cloud phones; a usable box on the App Store is scarce. "Stick with it a few days and the iOS version comes out" shows that as soon as an iOS package appears, people are already waiting for it.

- **The China store Entertainment Top Free bar is low** . Its top 81 only has 20 ratings; among new Apps charting on the same chart at the same time, many individual developer accounts with single-digit ratings also sit at #40–200 (appstore library `app_profile`, cn Entertainment Top Free, within the first 120 days of release). One or two ratings a day, with matching downloads, is enough to hold a spot on the chart.

- **When 10-22 opened the China store** : the original card's inference was "riding the Re Jiang November new version / bounty new server" (this claim is unverified). What can be confirmed is that the China store launch and the rename fall on the same version milestone.

### 5. Competitors (doing the same thing)

| Name | Where | Launched | Scale | How it differs |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 游昕游戏盒子 | iOS (named on the private server site) | Not verified | Not verified | Same model: the private server site tells iOS users to search for it on the App Store, then paste the game link in. Re Jiang Player Camp differs only in having "Re Jiang" directly in the name, so it can catch searches for that term. |
| 云尘游戏盒 | Web + iOS enterprise signing / Android | 2026 years ago | Not verified | Doesn't go through the App Store; iOS users have to manually trust the enterprise certificate, which can be revoked at any time. Re Jiang Player Camp goes through the App Store, with no install barrier. |
| 7723 Game Box - Popular Classic Mobile Game Platform (id6757699565) | iOS | cn 2026-10-19 | cn Entertainment Top Free #37–73, ratings 274→862 (10-28→11-06), +507 over the last 7 days | Also an individual developer account (Haiying Yang), targeting the generic term "classic mobile game platform", with volume roughly 40 times larger; Re Jiang Player Camp only does this one niche of Re Jiang / legend servers |
| 996 Legend Box | Web / Android / PC | Years | One of the largest aggregator platforms for legend private servers (996box.com) | Public platform with its own 996 engine; iOS users also rely on clone packs like these to fill the gap |
| Red Hand Cloud Phone, Thunder Point Cloud Phone and other cloud phones | iOS | 2026 | Not verified | Another route: run Android packages in the cloud. The user base overlaps (they show up together in the App Store "You might also like" section) |
| a stable of legend-private-server disguise apps (Liehuo Bazhu, Xiaoao Qiankun, Fengjian Shenlu…) | iOS | 2026-03 to 08 | each has a few dozen ratings, charting in the Entertainment Top Grossing top 68–174 | Those are single private-server games listed directly on the store. This one is a launcher: one shell can hold many servers |
| the official mobile game "Hot-Blooded Jianghu" (Longtu, id 1108802570) and "Hot-Blooded Jianghu: Awakening" | the legit iOS versions | 2017-04 / 2026-07 | Official games | The official versions have no private-server "withdrawable gold farming" economy, and that's not what private-server players are after |

No public, legitimate product is doing an "iOS entry point for Hot-Blooded Jianghu private servers," because the idea itself breaks App Store rules (4.3 and 2.3.1 hidden features). All the competition is among grey disguise apps.

### 6. Differentiation

There's almost no product-level differentiation. Three things can be said: ① put "Hot Jianghu" right in the name to grab an unclaimed short search term; ② focus only on this Hot Jianghu / Legend niche, so private-server sites can describe it as "Hot Jianghu iOS version"; ③ the review cadence (launch in the overseas store first → rename → open the China store) keeps the shell alive longer. What decides whether it survives is **whether private servers send it traffic and when Apple pulls it** , not its features. A rating of 2.4 stars and "top-up doesn't credit" complaints show retention and reputation are off the table.

### 7. Visibility and copycats

- Visibility: **few people know about it yet** . No media, X, or TrustMRR coverage, and apart from store mirror pages there's nothing on Chinese web pages. But the "iOS disguise package" approach has long been openly discussed in grey-market circles.

- Copycats: there's no "being copied" problem, since it's already one of a large batch of similar disguise apps (the legend private-server matrix on screen, 7723 game boxes, etc.).

### 8. What can be borrowed (only the legitimate parts)

- **Web-to-App clipboard attribution** : the H5 landing page writes a code to the clipboard, the App reads it on launch, enabling channel attribution and "deep-linking to the landing page content" (the game or content you were looking at opens straight up in the App). This is a legitimate technique; services like openinstall do exactly this.

- **Small category charts have low barriers** : to reach the top 100 of the cn Entertainment Top Free chart you only need single-digit daily ratings. A new App can use this to push for exposure when choosing a category.

- **Claim unclaimed IP short terms** : old IP nicknames (Hot Jianghu, Legend) often go unclaimed in store search. Legitimate products (e.g., guides, news, communities) can legally own these terms.

- Disguises, hidden features, and private-server top-ups violate App Store Review Guidelines 2.3.1 / 4.3 and copyright. Not recommended to copy.

### 9. Uncertain

- Whether the B side actually contains Hot Jianghu private servers, Legend private servers, or both: not tested. Reviews say "not a Legend box," which could mean there's no disguise, or the B side only has Hot Jianghu.

- How much it earns and how top-up fees are split: unknown. The money likely comes from in-game top-ups on the private server (paid through a separate in-game channel, not Apple IAP; the database has max_price=0 and no in-app purchases seen).
