> FunCorp ran a voiceover ad in the style of "I found a drummer who listens while you play," only on Meta in the US, UK, Canada and Australia. Paired with a hard paywall asking for $9.99/month right at the door, it held a spot on the Music Top Grossing chart, where the bar is low. It didn't go viral on its own.

# A drummer that listens while you play guitar: Bander charted on ads, product and demand not yet proven

**What it is** An iPhone App that uses the phone's mic to listen to you play guitar or sing, and automatically adds drums or a backbeat that follow your tempo and dynamics, like a pocket band member.

**Why it took off** FunCorp ran a voiceover ad in the style of "I found a drummer that listens to me play," spent only on Meta in the US, UK, Canada, and Australia, and paired it with a hard paywall that asks for $9.99/month at the door. It stayed on the Music Top Grossing chart, where the bar is low. It didn't catch fire organically; it was bought.

**C** **How you could follow** Don't build another head-on AI drummer. Teams that already have real-time audio capability can build what it leaves undone: tracking that stays on the beat, real trial access or a one-time purchase, and targeting other audiences like ukulele players or piano singer-songwriters. Test with a small budget using its ad-creative formula.

C grade: it proves an ad-buying playbook, not demand. A company with money to spend got only about 206 ratings across four countries in three months and charted at #177–199 on US Music Top Grossing. The core real-time tempo tracking is hard to build, and it's been criticized for not keeping up itself. Followers also don't get its ad budget. Few people know about it yet

The company behind iFunny, FunCorp, rebranded and released an iPhone App: you play an acoustic guitar, and it listens to the rhythm and adds drums. It runs Meta ads in a "real person discovers an App" style, targets only the US, UK, Canada, and Australia, requires a subscription as soon as you open the App, and squeezed into the top 200 of the Music category's Top Grossing chart. This piece explains what it is, where the traffic comes from, how it's doing, and whether you should follow it.

### One ad, and one one-star review

Bander's Facebook page bander.rocks has only 35 followers, yet it has a video with 22k views. It opens with a guitarist saying to the camera: "I've been using backing tracks for years… but this changes EVERYTHING. I found this app called Bander – Jam Anytime. It's basically a drummer that listens…" 35 followers can't produce 22k views. That's paid ads.

Oct 26, a user in the Canadian store gave it one star: "Looked cool from the ad, immediately asked for a subscription to even try it."

Those two comments are almost all of Bander's story: the ad is well made, you pay as soon as you click in, and whether the product holds up is a separate question.

### What it is

Open the App and start playing guitar, and you can also sing along. Bander uses the phone's mic to pick up your tempo and dynamics, and adds drums or a backbeat at the right moments. You speed up, it speeds up; you play softer, it plays softer. The product page written for LLMs is blunt: it currently offers **only one type of percussion** , no bass or keys, aimed at "amateur guitarists who play and sing songs they love," and recommends a Bluetooth speaker.

It isn't selling "backing tracks"; it's selling "someone to play with." The homepage says "Play solo. Feel like a band" and "a bandmate who listens." This positioning is deliberately distinct from arrangement and stem-splitting tools like Moises and GarageBand.

Launched Aug 2026 6, English only; by Nov 5 it had updated to 1.6.1, roughly one version every two weeks. The Android page says "Coming soon" with no date.

### Who's behind it

The developer is WT PUBLISHING LTD, a company registered in 202019 in Limassol, Cyprus. The Cypriot company registry shows its director Sergei Alexeenko is also a director of FunCorp. The app's promotional assets sit on a subdomain called `funcorp-2290`. FunCorp is hiring a "senior machine learning engineer who can play guitar," and the job description reads: "Build a music tech product for people who play and sing along with an instrument… let real musicians and AI play together, feeling like rehearsing with a real band, not playing along to a dead backing track." It almost matches Bander line for line.

FunCorp has run iFunny for over a decade and has consistently bought US traffic. WT PUBLISHING also owns several other Apps: sticker packs, music visualization, rhythm games, K-pop short video, and short dramas. Aside from Bander, each has only 0 to 39 ratings. It looks like FunCorp's launch shell for testing new directions in bulk, and Bander is the one that has gone furthest.

### How many people use it and where the money comes from

The volume is small. Apple data from Nov 6:

| Country | Score | Average | Music category rank (10-28 to 11-06) |
|---|---|---|---|
| US | 107 | 4.40 | Top Grossing #177–199 |
| UK | 41 | 4.22 | Top Grossing #119 (11-03) |
| Canada | 34 | 4.09 | Top Free #65–80, Top Grossing #69–111 |
| Australia | 24 | 4.42 | Best Top Grossing rank #71 (10-31), later dropped to #11-06 (136) |

Three months after launch, about 206 ratings across the four countries combined, with 7 new in the last 11 days. Downloads are estimated in the thousands, not hundreds of thousands. It's also listed in New Zealand, Ireland, Germany, Japan, and Brazil, but has zero ratings there: the traffic is bought country by country, not found through store search.

The money is subscriptions. The US store lists 11-06 at $9.99/mo and $59.99/yr, with three SKUs on each tier, which looks like price testing. Online there are claims it has gone up to $14.99/$99.99, but that doesn't show up in the store or on the website (the site has no pricing page), so we go by the store.

Part of why it could reach the Top Grossing chart is that the Music category's Top Grossing bar is low: a few subscriptions a day can land it at #70–#200 (inference). The other part is the hard paywall: everyone who clicks in either pays or leaves, which pushes conversion as high as it can go.

### Collect good reviews for free first, then close the gate and charge

The review section clearly shows it has changed approach. From August to September (versions 1.0 to 1.1), most reviews were positive. A professional UK guitarist/singer 8-25 wrote: "Like having my own private backbeat drummer, just didn't catch the swing of 6/8." A US user 9-22 wrote "Worth it" and "Very cool concept."

The Oct 10 1.5.1 version's release note was a single line: "Bander got better and decided music is a real job." From then on, reviews in the US, UK, Canada, and Australia were almost all one or two stars, complaining about the same thing. A US user 10-20:

> After downloading, there was a long onboarding animation. I was excited and ready to try it when a screen popped up: $10 a month or $60 a year. I don't even know if it works well, and you want me to pay?

The developer's reply under the review: you can watch videos of real musicians using Bander, or email hey@bander.live for a trial code. A Canadian reviewer 11-01 shot back: "It doesn't let you try it first and just suggests you go watch other people's videos."

Another half of the negative reviews target the product itself. UK 10-13: "Mostly totally out of sync, and the accompaniment doesn't fit. £10 a month. The videos set my expectations much higher; I cancelled on day one." US 10-19: "It doesn't know where you are in the song, adds cymbals everywhere, and can't keep up when you slow down or speed up."

The average rating is still between 4.1 and 4.4, which doesn't match the recent flood of one-star reviews. It's probably propped up by positive reviews from the early free phase (inference).

### Who it's competing with

"Listens while you play and drums along in real time" isn't a new idea:

| Product | What it is | Scale | Differences from Bander |
|---|---|---|---|
| Timml - AI Drummer | iOS, launched 2026-03, solo developer | US: 1 ratings | Nearly the same features (mic tempo detection, auto drums, 12 styles), launched 5 months earlier, with no promotion |
| Positive Grid Spark · Smart Jam | Smart-speaker companion feature, since 2020 | Users: lots | listen to a clip first, then generate drums and bass; needs a Spark speaker |
| Moises | Split tracks, make backing tracks, since 2020 | US store 28k ratings, #18 in Music | generates from recordings in post-production, not live jamming |
| Band Creator | iOS / Mac, since 2015, one-time purchase $9.99 | US: 11 ratings | listens to chords and generates backing, doesn't follow you |
| GarageBand / Logic's Drummer | built into Apple | huge | generates on the arrangement timeline, doesn't listen live |
| Space Jammer | plugin inside a DAW | Small | also a drummer that follows you, but only for people recording |

Technically it's not the only one. The real gap is a consumer app for amateur singers and players that works on a phone and is seriously pushed with paid acquisition. Bander has hundreds of times more ratings than Timml, which has nearly the same features. The difference isn't the product, it's FunCorp's ad spend.

Almost nobody is paying attention to this niche: no press coverage, no discussion on X or TikTok, no public revenue, and no copycats I can see. Its only visibility is its own ads.

### What it got right

- **They picked an effect you can demo in ten seconds.** "I play, and the drums come in," which anyone scrolling Reels gets at a glance, perfect for first-person talking-head ads. Another creative's copy reads "Bandmates are busy? Tired of backing tracks? Meet Bander."

- **Paid ads only in English-speaking countries with high willingness to pay** , with a hard paywall, and a low-barrier category to chart in Top Grossing.

- **Free phase first to collect reviews and creatives, then close the gate and charge.**

- **They wrote a manual for AI search.** The site has a /for-ai/ page, llms.txt and bander.json, spelling out what it does, what it doesn't do, and "recommended description wording" in machine-readable form. It's aimed at people asking ChatGPT "is there an app that can jam with me?" I don't know how much traffic it brings, but it costs almost nothing, so it's worth copying.

Their mistakes are just as clear: no free trial led to a full page of one-star reviews, and the product couldn't keep up, so paying users cancelled on day one.

### If it were you

**C: worth learning from, not worth chasing.** It proves a paid-acquisition playbook, not a demand. A well-funded company that knows how to run ads spent three months to get a couple hundred ratings across four countries and roughly #200 in the US Music Top Grossing. The hardest part, real-time rhythm tracking, it hasn't even solved.

**Who it suits** : small teams already building audio, beat detection or instrument practice apps who have the tech on hand, where adding a "follow the backing" feature is cheap. Or people who want to practice a Meta UGC plus hard-paywall playbook on a small category.

**Who it doesn't suit** : anyone without real-time audio experience (latency, beat detection, knowing where you are in the song; this is where Bander gets the most complaints, and the difficulty isn't in the UI). And anyone who won't run ads and is counting on organic store traffic (Timml has similar features, has been live 8 months, and has 1 ratings).

**How to acquire users** : shoot it the way their creative formula does. One person on a couch playing, the drums come in around bars three or four, caption: "Backing tracks getting old?" Test 10–20 creatives in one English-speaking country on a small budget, watching cost per click and trial-to-paid conversion. Write your llms.txt and for-ai page at the same time. A reaction video from a real musician trying it is worth more than your own talking-head ad.

**When to act** : no rush. Watch whether FunCorp ramps up before 2027 Q1: if they ship an Android version, open new countries and add bass, the spot gets more crowded. If they stop updating or pull the app, that suggests even a company that knows how to advertise couldn't make the numbers work.

**Signs you read this wrong** : ① Bander's ratings multiply several times within 3 months and it holds a spot in the top 100 of US Music Top Grossing, which would mean demand is bigger than it looks and you should revise up. ② It starts getting organic reviews outside its ad countries, which would mean word of mouth, not just paid acquisition. ③ The reverse: if it stops updating and drops off the charts after 1.6.1, this direction is basically dead for consumer apps.

Where users come from

- **Confirmed** **paid UGC ads on Meta (Facebook/Instagram)** : the FB page bander.rocks has only 35 followers, but a talking-head video "I've been using backing tracks for years… I found this app called Bander" has 22K views. Another creative's copy: "Bandmates are busy? Tired of backing tracks? Meet Bander." Canadian comments: "Looked cool from the ad" and "tricked me into downloading." Ratings appear in only 4 countries: US, UK, Canada, Australia.

- Inferred **pre-launch seeding by Instagram creators or AI influencers** : an Instagram Reel "Testing Bander live before it's public… No editing, this is real-time," from account deeptomcruise, display name Hey, Guitarist!, labeled by Instagram as an AI-generated profile. Relationship to FunCorp unverified.

- Inferred **machine-readable material prepared for AI search** : /for-ai/, llms.txt, bander.json (2026-10-28 update), hosted on funcorp-2290.chatgpt.site. How much traffic it brings is unknown.

- **Confirmed** **free first, then a hard paywall** : reviews on September (v1.1) are mostly 5 stars. After the v1.5.1 (10-10) update notes said "decided music is a real job," reviews focused on complaining about $9.99/month, $59.99/year, and no way to try it first.

> Research date 2026-11-06. Data from our appstore library (app_day / app_snapshot, since 2026-10-28), Apple lookup and review RSS, Jina/Exa/Brave web search, TikHub (TikTok), and x-radar (X).

### Bottom line

Bander is an experimental product from **FunCorp** , the Cyprus company behind iFunny, published through the shell company WT PUBLISHING LTD. It listens live to you playing acoustic guitar through your phone mic and adds drums or a cajón that follows your timing. Its traffic comes mainly from **Meta (Facebook/Instagram) UGC ads styled as real-person reviews** , targeting only 4 English-speaking countries, and the app opens to a hard paywall ($9.99/month, $59.99/year). The Music Top Grossing chart is low-barrier, which is how it reached US #177–199, Australia #71–158 and Canada #69–111. Volume is still small (about 206 ratings across 4 countries). Right now it looks more like a well-funded company testing this direction with money than a hit that grew on its own.

---

### 1. What it is

- How it works: open the app and start playing guitar (you can also sing along). Bander hears the rhythm and dynamics, adds drums or cajón at the right moments, and then follows your tempo and dynamics as they change. FunCorp's "For AI" page states that it **currently has only one percussion type and does not do bass, keys, or multiple instruments** . Its user is "amateur guitarists playing and singing songs they like," and it recommends a Bluetooth speaker. (Source: [bander-play-together.funcorp-2290.chatgpt.site/for-ai/](https://bander-play-together.funcorp-2290.chatgpt.site/for-ai/), updated 2026-10-28)

- Positioning copy: "pocket bandmate" and "a bandmate who listens," stressing the feel of playing with other people and deliberately distancing it from "backing track libraries / arrangement tools."

- Listed 2026-08-06. Version 1.0 → 1.6.1,1.6.1 released 2026-11-05, adding iPad support. English only. Android is marked "Coming soon." (Apple lookup; App Store version history)

### 2. Data: how many people use it, and whether it makes money

| Store | Ratings (11-06) | Average | Best Music category rank (10-28~11-06, our app_day library) |
|---|---|---|---|
| us | 107 | 4.40 | Top Free #196–198 (10-28/29); Top Grossing #177–199 (since 10-31) |
| gb | 41 | 4.22 | Top Grossing #119 (11-03, only 1 days captured) |
| ca | 34 | 4.09 | Top Free #65–80; Top Grossing #69–111 |
| au | 24 | 4.42 | Best Top Grossing #71 (10-31), 11-06 #136 |
| nz/ie/de/fr/jp/br/in | 0 | — | Apple lookup finds it (it is listed), but it has zero ratings |

- About 206 ratings across 4 countries, live for 3 months. 11 new in the last 7 days (data card). Scale is a few thousand downloads, not hundreds of thousands.

- Ratings appear in only 4 countries (US, UK, Canada, Australia). No other listed country has any. That suggests traffic is **targeted into specific countries with ads** , not found organically in the store.

- Pricing: App Store in-app purchases list Bander Monthly $9.99 and Bander Yearly $59.99, with several SKUs each, looking like price testing. The data card says the website lists $14.99/$99.99, but bander.live has no pricing page (/pricing returns 404), **unverified** .

- When the paywall went up: September (v1.1) reviews are mostly 5 stars ("Worth it", "Fantastic tool for solo practice"). The v1.5.1 (10-10) update notes say "Bander got better and decided music is a real job." After that, UK, US, Canada and Australia reviews are almost all 1–2 stars, complaining "found out after downloading that it needs a subscription, can't try it first." My guess: in early October it went from a free trial to a hard paywall. The developer's replies in the reviews say "you can watch real musicians using Bander on the videos, or email hey@bander.live for a trial code." (App Store review RSS)

Conclusion: the Top Grossing ranking comes from **a low bar in the Music category + a hard paywall that pushes conversion per install as high as possible** . The revenue is real, but the scale is small.

### 3. Who's behind it: FunCorp (iFunny)

- The developer WT PUBLISHING LTD is a company in Limassol, Cyprus (registered as HE 401623,2019-09-03). Director Sergei Alexeenko; the company registry site lists it as a potential related party of FUNCORP LIMITED (HE 352942), because he is also a director of FunCorp. (https://companiesregistry.cy/company-details/wt-publishing-ltd-401623/)

- The website's assets all sit on the subdomain `bander-play-together.funcorp-2290.chatgpt.site`, and the name itself includes funcorp. (bander.live page source)

- FunCorp is hiring a "Senior ML Engineer Guitarist (Audio/Music/Guitar)", and the job description says: "we're building a music tech product for people who sing and play guitar… still in a closed experimental phase… let a live musician play with AI in a way that feels like rehearsing with a real band — not like playing over a static backing track". That matches Bander exactly. (https://www.remocate.app/jobs/senior-ml-engineer-guitarist-audio-music-guitarremote-funcorp)

- Other apps under WT PUBLISHING: WHLSM (stickers, 2020), Effex music visualizer (2024), Muso rhythm game (2024), Doison K-pop short videos (2025), Shorter short dramas (2026-04). Apart from Bander, their ratings are 0–39, which suggests FunCorp is using it as a publishing shell to **batch-test new opportunities** . (Apple lookup, artistId 1495728112)

- Why it matters: FunCorp has run iFunny for over a decade and has long done paid acquisition and UGC content operations in the US market. It has budget, plus a pipeline for paid acquisition and creative testing that an ordinary indie dev doesn't have.

### 4. Competitors

| Product | Where | Launched | Scale | Differences from Bander |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Positive Grid Spark · Smart Jam | Hardware + App (big-company feature) | 2020 with the Spark amp | Spark is a best-selling smart amp with a large user base (exact numbers unverified) | Smart Jam listens to a short bit you play, then generates drum and bass backing tracks; it requires a Spark amp or the app. Bander is phone-only, follows you live as you play, and focuses on acoustic guitar with vocals. |
| Timml - AI Drummer | iOS | 2026-03-23 | US: 1 ratings | Nearly identical features (mic listens to tempo, auto drums, 12 styles, Apple Watch, Ableton Link), launched earlier, but built by an individual developer with no paid acquisition, so almost nobody uses it. |
| Band Creator | iOS / Mac | 2015-10 | US store 11 ratings, one-time purchase $9.99 | Listens to chords and generates bass + drums; more of a backing track generator than a real-time "bandmate" that follows you. |
| Moises | iOS / Android / web | 2020-11 | US store 28k ratings, #18 in Music | Separates song stems and makes backing tracks; AI Studio can generate instruments over your recording. It's post-production generation, not real-time jamming. |
| AI Backing Track Generator(Rhythm Studio) | iOS | 2025-10 | US: 35 ratings | Generates backing tracks from a description, with the user controlling everything; doesn't listen to you play. |
| Space Jammer | VST plugin | Not verified | Small | A "virtual drummer that listens to your guitar and drums in real time," but only usable inside a DAW, aimed at people who record. |
| Bashery | Web / App | 2026 (unverified) | Small | The reverse: you play electronic drums, and bass and keys follow you. |
| Logic Pro / GarageBand Drummer, Session Players | Big-company feature (Apple) | 2013 / 2024 | huge | Generates on the arrangement timeline, doesn't listen to live playing |
| Google Magenta DrumBot | Web demo | Around 2020 | Experimental | Generates drums in real time from a melody; only a technical demo. |
| BeatSense, BANDMATE Music Practice, etc. | iOS | 2026 | 0–2 ratings | Tempo checks and practice tools, not accompaniment. |

Conclusion: "listens to you play in real time and drums along" is **not a new idea** . Timml was 5 months earlier, and Spark Smart Jam has been around for several years. The real gap: no one has built a consumer mobile app for casual singer-guitarists and seriously spent money to promote it.

### 5. Where users came from (growth tactics)

1. **Meta paid UGC ads (confirmed)**
    - Bander's Facebook Page (facebook.com/bander.rocks) has only 35 followers, but one video on it has **22K views** , titled "I've been using backing tracks for years… but this changes EVERYTHING. I found this app called Bander – Jam Anytime. It's basically a drummer that listens…" This is a typical "real person discovers an app" voiceover ad script. A Page with 35 followers can't generate 22K views organically; it has to be from paid distribution. (https://www.facebook.com/bander.rocks/videos/…/1612910033648087/)
    - Copy from another creative: "Bandmates are busy? Tired of backing tracks? Meet Bander — your new jam buddy that actually follows YOUR playing." (Jina search result)
    - Canada 10-26 reviews: "Looked cool from the ad, immediately asked for a subscription"; Canada 10-21: "tricked me into downloading".
    - Ratings only show up in the US, UK, Canada and Australia, which matches a country-targeted campaign pattern.
    - The FB Page bio says "Drums, bass and harmonies join in," more than the product actually does (it only does one percussion instrument). That's ad-style exaggeration.
    - Our metaads library hasn't tracked this Page yet, so I can't get the number of live ads. That doesn't mean it isn't running ads.

2. **Pre-launch seeding on Instagram (partly confirmed)** : one Instagram Reel says "Testing Bander live before it's public. I play, it listens, it builds the arrangement. No editing, this is real-time." The account display name is "Hey, Guitarist!", the username is deeptomcruise, and Instagram labels it an **"AI-generated profile"** . **Unverified** how this account relates to FunCorp; it may be a paid "AI influencer" or an in-house account. The data card mentions "seeding on r/Guitar", but I couldn't find the original post (Reddit blocks scraping).

3. **Community** : there is a Discord and an Instagram @bander.live; size unknown.

4. **Materials for AI search (confirmed to exist, effect unknown)** : /for-ai/, llms.txt, and bander.json (2026-10-28 update) put product facts, capability limits and "recommended description wording" in machine-readable form, aimed at scenarios where ChatGPT-style tools answer "is there an app that can jam with me?" No evidence shows how much traffic this brings.

5. **Channels not seen** : TikTok search for "bander app" returns no related videos (TikHub); no related mentions on X (x-radar, 90 days); no media coverage, no Product Hunt / HN; store search has almost no organic traffic (ratings in non-targeted countries are 0).

Where the money comes from: after install, you get a long onboarding animation, then straight to the paywall, at $9.99/month or $59.99/year. People moved by the ad videos pay right away; there's no chance for "tried it and it's just okay, I'll leave." The cost is lots of bad reviews, and after October nearly all reviews are 1–2 stars. But the total rating count is small and the average still sits at 4.1–4.4, possibly propped up by positive reviews from the early free phase plus in-app rating prompts (unverified).

### 6. Why it charted

1. **Backed by money and paid acquisition capacity** : FunCorp owns iFunny, has US market paid-acquisition experience, and uses a publishing shell to batch-test new products. Bander could target 4 English-speaking countries with paid ads from day one and test several price tiers.

2. **The product is naturally suited to ads** : "I play, and the drums come in" can be demoed in about ten seconds. Viewers understand it instantly and get drawn in, which makes it ideal for voiceover UGC in Reels and Feed. Strong ad conversion is largely because the effect is so visual to demonstrate.

3. **Hard paywall + low-bar category** : the Music category's Top Grossing chart has a low bar, so a few subscriptions a day can put it at #70–#200. With no trial, conversion per install is pushed as high as possible.

4. **Targets the audience and emotion well** : aimed at casual singer-guitarists and campfire players, not recording producers. It sells the feeling of "someone to play with," not tool specs. That sets it apart from Spark, Moises and Logic.

5. **Competitors aren't pushing seriously** : Timml has similar features but is an individual developer with no paid acquisition and only 1 ratings. The consumer market in this niche is actually empty.

### 7. Differentiation, and whether that's why it took off

- Not exclusive technically: Timml, Space Jammer and Spark Smart Jam can all "listen to you play and drum along."

- The real differences are in three places:
    1. Phone mic only; acoustic guitar plus vocals works, with no cables, amp, or DAW needed;
    2. Positioned and written as "a bandmate that listens to you," not as a backing track or arrangement tool;
    3. A company that knows paid acquisition is pushing it.

- Is it the reason it charted? The first two points make the ads easy to shoot and convert, so they're **necessary conditions** . The third point (FunCorp's resources and ad spend) is the **direct reason it has 100 times Timml's ratings** . The product's word of mouth actually drags it down: after paying, many reviews complain it "can't keep up, doesn't line up."

### 8. Visibility and copycats

- Visibility: **few people know about it yet** . No media coverage, no discussion on X or TikTok, no public revenue, and nothing on TrustMRR. The only public exposure is the Meta ads it runs itself.

- Copycats: **none seen** . Timml (2026-03) came earlier, so it isn't copying Bander; BANDMATE, BeatSense, Drummer Buddy and others launched in the last 2026 years are practice or metronome tools with different focus.

### 9. What others can learn

- Find an AI effect that can be demoed clearly in about ten seconds (play a note, drums come in), shoot first-person "I found this app" voiceover creatives, run paid ads on Meta only in high-willingness English-speaking countries, pair with a hard paywall, and squeeze into the low-bar category Top Grossing chart.

- Free testing first (8–September, v1.0–1.1) to build reviews and creatives, then the paywall (October, v1.5.1).

- Write llms.txt / for-ai pages so LLMs can cite the app when someone asks "is there an app that can jam with me?" The cost is very low.

- Lesson learned: a hard paywall with no trial gets you a concentrated wave of 1-star reviews. "Email us for a trial code" doesn't stop the bad reviews.

### 10. Still unclear

- Actual ad scale (live ads, spend), CPI, paid conversion and refund rate are all unknown; the metaads library didn't track it.

- Official site $14.99/$99.99 pricing can't be retrieved (no pricing page on the site); the store currently lists $9.99/$59.99, with several SKUs.

- The relationship between "Hey, Guitarist!" on Instagram (deeptomcruise, labeled as an AI-generated account) and Bander.

- Reddit r/Guitar seeding posts can't be retrieved (Reddit blocks scraping).

- The average rating of 4.4 doesn't match a comments section full of 1-star reviews; whether there's in-app rating prompting is unverified.

- When the Android version ships, and whether FunCorp will invest more in this project or kill it.
