Charge Win, the US iOS "charge your phone to earn" app: 1 cents pay out instantly, 30 dollars can never be withdrawn
What it is A US iOS app that pays coins for charging your phone, daily check-ins, and watching ads, claiming you can cash out to PayPal.
Why it took off "Get paid just for charging" has zero barrier to entry, and 1 cents arriving within seconds makes it believable. Then a 30-dollar cash-out threshold and endless tasks keep users watching ads. It was pushed up through paid acquisition, and on iOS there are almost no similar apps.
CHow you could follow it Don't copy its refusal to pay out. Use "a reason to open it every day that you already do" + small instant payouts + in-app rating prompts when users are happy + a niche category to climb the charts, and build a version that really pays out, counting the payout cost into ad revenue.

Charge Win launched on the US App Store at the end of July, with a store page saying you charge your phone, check in daily, and earn coins to redeem rewards. By Nov 6 it had 37k ratings, an average of 4.5, and ranked #40 on the US Utilities Top Free chart. The product itself isn't new: it's the Chinese "web earnings" template that was already everywhere on Android, finally running at volume on US iOS. Where it really makes money is the dozens or hundreds of ads users watch to scrape together 30 dollars to cash out. The playbook has a few things worth learning; copying it wholesale is betting on when Apple will take it down.
Oct 30, a day off
On Oct 30, a US user left a 3-star App Store review that opened with the date: "10/30/26… downloaded last night. Today I'm off, and I spent the whole day on it. Charging and watching ads are pretty easy. I earned 30 dollars and started the cash-out tasks. 2 of the 3 tasks worked, and the last one, 'charge for 30 minutes,' hasn't moved all day…"
Dozens of similar reviews came in the same day. The story is always the same: install, get 1 cents that hit PayPal within seconds, so you believe it; then charge, watch ads, spin the wheel, and in two or three days collect 30 dollars. Tap cash out, and three tasks pop up (watch a pile more ads, spin the wheel 10 more times, charge for 30 more minutes). Finish them, and you see "Please be patient, new tasks are loading," with a countdown of 8 to 20 hours, and the next day you start another set. One person wrote "I watched 150 videos and did every task"; another wrote "I spent three hours watching about 25 ads and now I have to wait another 15 hours" (App Store reviews, 10-30 to 11-01).
What it is and who made it
- The developer listed on the store is Sunnrise Lab, while the actual seller is Quanzhou Chenqi Commercial Trading Co., Ltd., based in Quanzhou, Fujian. Released 2026-07-28, latest version 1.1.2 (10-18), 18+, charted only in the US (App Store, 11-06).
- The same seller also charted in 3 with Fruit Match: Get Prize, a match-three game with prizes, with about 120 ratings, which looks like a test run of the same template.
- The store description is careful: it only says coins and rewards, never cash, never PayPal. The site chargewin.top and the ads it runs say real money outright.

(App Store US store, daily data)
Over three-plus months since launch it averaged about 350 ratings a day. Last week that climbed to 500–800 a day, and 7 days added 3,292 ratings. That pace usually means paid acquisition is scaling. It has no in-app purchases and isn't on any grossing chart, so all its revenue comes from ads, and the charts can't show how much it makes.
Where users come from: ads, plus a ¥1 hook
Paid acquisition. Reviews keep mentioning the ads: "the ads made it look like an app that really works", "can't cash out like the ad says" (10-30). The privacy label declares data used to track you, which is standard for ad attribution. Which network it runs on (Meta, TikTok or AppLovin) and how much it spends can't be checked from outside.
A ¥1 first payout. Nearly every review confirms this step was real: "paid me ¥15 in 1 seconds for a test amount" (10-31). This is the most important link in the whole playbook. Users trust that the ¥30 payout later is also real.
Referral rewards. One 1-star reviewer wrote "I even recommended it to my family" (10-30).
Category choice. It sits in Productivity, not Entertainment or Lifestyle, where ad-to-earn apps crowd together. The #40 spot on the free chart only takes a few hundred new ratings a day in Productivity, and charting may bring some organic search (inferred).
Word of mouth is mostly negative. Searches on TikTok and YouTube turn up mainly scam-warning videos. One YouTuber in Oct 18 retitled their video "its a SCAM". Reddit's r/beermoney has a string of threads asking whether it pays out at all. scamadviser rates the website high-risk. Users aren't coming in through word of mouth.
Where the money comes from: users watch ads on the way to a cashout
The math is simple. US iOS rewarded-video rates are among the highest in the world. A user has to watch dozens to hundreds of ads from install until they hit the cashout wall, and after the ¥30 mark there are several more rounds of tasks, each with its own pile of ads. As long as one user's ad revenue exceeds what it cost to acquire them, the spend can keep scaling. The only money that actually goes out is those ¥1 test payouts.
Some people say they cashed out ¥30 ("i cashed out the $30", 10-31). None of it can be verified. Other reviews say the charging timer stops running in the last 10 minutes.
There's also a mismatch. Of the 200 recent reviews I could see, 1-star reviews make up 46%, and 5-star only 33%, yet the average is 4.49. One negative review says "I gave 5 stars so you'd see this." The most likely explanation is that the app shows the rating prompt right after a user receives a ¥1 payout while they're happy, and star-only ratings don't appear in the review feed (inferred). There's also a long 1-star review signed "Charge win 5fan and support" that reads like it was written by the team itself. With 4.5 stars and 37k ratings, people who arrive from an ad are more willing to install from the store page.
Who it's competing with
| Product | Platform | Status |
|---|---|---|
| Funny Charge, Charge Joy, Charge Earn, Wow Charge | Android | Same template, run by Chinese or Southeast Asian developers. r/beermoney has "scam" threads, and Charge Joy's cashout threshold is $50. |
| Charge Cash | Not verified | A blogger reviewed it in Oct 20. New users get 1,788 coins, and the ads are just as exaggerated. |
| CashDrill - Charge & Earn | Android (South Korea) | Launched in March on Google Play with 162k installs, then +7k in 11.8 days. A Korean points app whose payouts are relatively legitimate. |
| CyberCharge: Earn Now | iOS | Launched in January 2025 years ago, has only 10 ratings, never took off. |
| Giftloop, PhonePaycheck | Android | An older generation of charge-to-earn apps that watch ads. The payouts are real, but they only pay 1 to 2 dollars a month, and nobody uses them. |
| Freecash, PLAYFUL REWARDS, Scrambly, WeWard, CashFlicks | iOS | Broadly, the "watch ads, play games, earn money" category. It competes for the same US users and the same ad budgets. Freecash has 169k ratings. PLAYFUL REWARDS is #5 on the US free overall chart. Shanghai team CashFlicks launched in Jul 14 and already has 8,203 ratings. |
On iOS, the specific "charge to earn" angle is so far only working at scale for Charge Win. CashFlicks (Shanghai, 7-14) and Charge Win (Quanzhou, 7-28) both hit the US iOS store in the same month, which suggests a wave of Chinese make-money-online teams is going after this niche together this summer.
How many people know about it
Very little. Revenue is undisclosed, there's no press coverage, and almost nobody has mentioned it on X in the past two months. Discussion stays in consumer spaces: r/beermoney, anti-scam TikToks, and scam-checking sites. On iOS, no second charge-to-earn app has been seen gaining real traction.
If it were you
In one line: worth learning a few moves from, not copying. It makes money by promising 30 dollars and not paying, trading users' time for ad revenue. Once Apple, the FTC, or a wave of complaints targets that, the whole app goes down along with the developer account. The legitimate version, where real money actually gets paid out, has very thin margins.
Who it suits: teams already monetizing with rewarded video, with an acquisition budget and the ability to model cohort LTV and CPI for make-money-online or utility apps, who want to test a new "reason to open daily" on US iOS.
Who it doesn't suit: solo indie devs with no ad budget or monetization experience, and anyone unwilling to go near the line of misleading promises. This category runs on paid acquisition and unit economics, not product or word of mouth, and small teams have no edge in cold starts.
How to do it (the part worth learning):
- Use things users already do every day (charging, walking, sleeping, drinking water) as the reason to open, and attach rewarded video.
- Make the first cashout tiny and instant (seconds) to build trust first.
- Show the rating prompt when the user has just received a reward and is in a good mood.
- Pick a category with low competition and push for the chart.
- Make the cashout step real: set the threshold low, say 5 dollars, and actually pay it, counting the payout cost into each user's ad revenue. WeWard, Scrambly and CashDrill are references for payouts that clear.
How to acquire users: run direct "charge and earn money" creatives on Meta, TikTok and AppLovin, paired with referral rewards. The closer the creative gets to "earn money lying down," the higher the conversion, and the closer it gets to being misleading.
When to get in: if you're going to test it, do it before Q1 2027. Right now there are still few similar apps on iOS, and Apple hasn't acted yet. Once it's removed, or a second and third charge-to-earn app crowds in, review risk and acquisition costs both go up.
Where this read could be wrong: ① Charge Win has survived half a year without removal, and its rating growth has stayed above 500, which suggests Apple is tolerating this type of app. The window may be longer than it looks, and more people will copy it. ② The other way around: if a charge-to-earn app that really pays out reaches the top 50 in Productivity on US iOS, the legitimate version can also make money, and this would be a B-or-better opportunity.

Charge Win: Win Rewards (iOS id6791895084), and why it managed to break out
Research date 2026-11-06. Data sources: our appstore / googleplay / metaads libraries (agent-im server), iTunes lookup, App Store web pages, Jina / Exa search, TikHub, x-radar. Inferences are labeled.
Bottom line
It's not a new product. It's the Chinese "earn money by charging your phone" template, already common on Android (charge your phone and earn: first pay out 1 cents, then use a 30 USD cash-out threshold and endless tasks to keep users hooked), ported to the US iOS store. The money comes from rewarded video ads: users have to watch dozens to hundreds of ads to reach 30 USD. Growth comes from exaggerated "charge your phone and get paid" creatives plus invite rewards. On the App Store side, vague copy gets past review, and ratings are kept at 4.5 with tactics like rating prompts (this one is an inference). It works because of its distribution and monetization playbook; the product itself has no barrier.
1. What it is and how the data looks
- The developer is listed as "Sunnrise Lab", but the actual seller is Quanzhou Chenqi Commercial Trading Co., Ltd (Quanzhou); bundle
com.top.charge.win.app, website chargewin.top. Launched 2026-07-28, latest version 1.1.2 (2026-10-18), 18+, available in 9 languages, and has only charted in the US (iTunes lookup; appstore libraryapp). - The same developer also has Fruit Match: Get Prize (2026-03-04, a match-3 "win prizes" game with about 120 ratings), an early test of the same earn-money template (appstore library; App Store page).
- US Productivity Top Free chart: 10-28 #70, dropped from 10-30 to 100,11-06, then back to #40 (appstore library
app_day; App Store web page 11-06 shows #47). - Rating count: 10-28 32,367,11-06 36,616, +3,292 over 7 days; daily new ratings went from 245 to 776 (appstore library). Over the 3 months since launch it has gathered about 37k ratings, roughly 350 per day on average; the last week shows a clear acceleration, likely from increased ad spend.
- Average rating 4.49 (iTunes lookup). But among the 200 recent reviews collected in the library, 1 are 92-star, 5 are 65-star, and 43 are 2–4-star (appstore library
review). That doesn't match 4.5's average; see section 4. - It doesn't appear on any top-grossing chart. It doesn't sell in-app purchases; revenue comes entirely from ads, so the grossing charts don't show how much it earns.
2. Competitors: who else does the same thing
"Charge & earn" is an old category on Android, full of clone earn-money apps. On iOS it was nearly empty, and Charge Win is currently the only one that has scaled.
| Product | Platform | Launched | Scale | How it differs from Charge Win |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Funny Charge(UFE Indonésie,com.power.charge.rewards) | Android | Before/after 2025 (unverified) | Similarweb has Brazilian data; YouTube has "real or fake" videos | Same model (charge to earn lightning coins for gold coins); Google Play forums have users complaining they can't cash out. Android only |
| Charge Joy (Fengtai County Rongyan Technology, China) | Android / Galaxy Store | around 2025 | r/beermoney threads call it a scam, with a 50 USD cash-out threshold | Same template, higher threshold; not on iOS |
| Charge Earn(Kanggo,com.ceceapp.chargeapp) | Android | 2026 years | Scam threads on r/beermoney 2026-08 | Same template, roughly the same period as Charge Win |
| Charge Cash | Platform unverified | 2026 years | myroomismyoffice wrote a review 2026-10-20: new-user bonus 1,788, very exaggerated ads | Same template, competing in the same period |
| Wow Charge / Wonder Charge | Android | 2025–2026 | YouTube anti-scam reviews | Same as above |
| CashDrill - Charge & Earn (Dongle Company, Korea) | Android | 2026-03-21 | 162k Play installs, +11.8k over 7 days, category chart #14 (googleplay library) | A Korean step-count / charging points app, targeting the Korean market, with relatively legitimate cash-outs |
| CyberCharge: Earn Now (CYBERTECH, Singapore) | iOS | 2025-01-23 | 10 ratings (appstore library) | An earlier attempt on iOS that never gained traction |
| Giftloop / PhonePaycheck | Android | 2018–2020 | Very small; r/beermoney says a month of charging earns only 1–2 USD | The older generation of "charging display ads"; cash-outs work but pay too little, so nobody sticks |
| The broader "watch ads / play games to earn" (GPT) apps: Freecash, PLAYFUL REWARDS, Scrambly (earn by walking), WeWard, CashFlicks (Shanghai, must-mention, 2026-07-14) | iOS | 2019–2026 | Freecash 169k ratings, +4,346 over 7 days; PLAYFUL REWARDS #5 on the US overall free chart; Scrambly #6 in Health; CashFlicks 8,203 ratings, +1,787 over 7 days (appstore library 11-06) | Same audience (Americans wanting to earn small amounts), same money pool (ads and offerwalls). Charge Win's only difference is making "charging" the daily reason to open the app, and placing it in the low-barrier Productivity category. |
Takeaway: On iOS there is no real large-scale "charge to earn" competitor, while Android has plenty. Charge Win's position is "the first Android earn-money template to succeed on US iOS." CashFlicks (Shanghai, launched 07-14) and Charge Win (Quanzhou, launched 07-28) entered US iOS in the same month, suggesting Chinese earn-money teams went after the US iOS GPT track together in 2026 summer.
3. Growth tactics: where users come from
- Paid acquisition (confirmed, platform unclear): several reviews directly mention the ads, e.g. "the ads made it seem like an app that really works", "you can't cash out like the ad says" (appstore library reviews, 10-30). The App Store privacy label declares "data used to track you", which is standard for ad attribution (App Store page). The same-template Charge Cash was also criticized in reviews for "ads making earning seem very easy". Our Meta ad library only tracks a named list of products and shows no Page for Charge Win; the TikTok ad library only covers Europe. So which platforms it runs on and how much it spends is unverified.
- Invite rewards: a review says "I even referred this app to my family" (appstore library 10-30), indicating in-app referral bonuses, standard for earn-money apps.
- The first 1 cents build trust: many reviews confirm "1 cents hit PayPal within seconds" (YouTube Shorts QMQ3pN9eM1w; comments 10-31). This is the key hook for conversion and retention; users believe the later 30 USD will also come through.
- Store category choice: placed in Productivity rather than Entertainment or Lifestyle. Reaching #40 on the US Productivity free chart needs only about 500–800 new ratings per day, a lower bar than the crowded GPT categories, and it picks up some organic search traffic once charted (inference).
- TikTok / YouTube / Reddit: mostly negative word of mouth. A TikHub search for "charge win app" surfaces anti-scam videos (e.g. @ifyblicky with 10-20.5M views, warning about "this kind of scam"; whether it refers specifically to Charge Win is unverified). r/beermoney has a string of "does Charge Win / Funny Charge actually pay?" threads; scamadviser and gridinsoft rate chargewin.top as high risk. These aren't its growth source; they suggest users came from ads rather than word of mouth.
- Rating management (inference): among 200 recent reviews, 46% are 1-star, yet the average is 4.49; negative reviews repeatedly say "5 stars so you see it". The likeliest reason for a high average is that the app prompts for a rating right when users receive their first 1 cents (star-only ratings don't appear in the review RSS). There's also a long 5-star review signed "Charge win 1fan and support" that reads as self-written (App Store page). No direct evidence either way; labeled as inference.
4. Why it took off
- A harsh hook: "charge your phone and get paid" is a promise low-income Americans understand instantly, with zero barrier. People already charge their phones every day, which gives a reason to open the app daily. Paying 1 cents that arrive within seconds builds trust first.
- The money comes back from ads: users have to "watch 25 ads", "watch 150 videos", "spin the wheel 10 times" to reach 30 USD (review quotes, 10-30 to 11-01). US iOS rewarded-video prices are high, so one user may generate several dollars of ad revenue before hitting the cash-out wall. As long as that exceeds the per-user acquisition cost (CPI), spend can keep scaling. Exact figures are unverified; this is the standard ledger for this model.
- The withdrawal wall keeps costs close to zero: once you hit $30, you must finish three tasks (watch ads, spin the wheel, charge your phone for 30 minutes), then sit through a 8–22 hour cooldown before a doubled set of new tasks appears (lots of reviews, 10-29 to 11-01; a YouTuber renamed the video "its a SCAM" after 10-18). Users keep watching ads while they wait. A handful say they cashed out $30 (review 10-31: "i cashed out the $30"), but none of it can be verified.
- iOS is an open gap: Android has plenty of similar apps and users are numb to them; iOS had almost none. The description is vague (only "coins" and "rewards", no mention of cash or PayPal), which gets past App Store review, while the website and ads say "real money" outright (chargewin.top).
- Rating shell: 4.5 stars with 37k ratings makes the store page convert better for people arriving from ads (mechanism inferred, see section 3).
5. Differentiation
The product itself has no differentiation: charge timers, daily check-ins, treasure chests, slot machines, watch-to-earn, and screensavers are the same set found in Funny Charge and Charge Joy on Android. The differences are only two: (1) it was the first to successfully port this template to US iOS; (2) it wrapped the product in a Productivity category listing, vague copy, a first 1-cent payout, and rating prompts to present a 4.5-star store page. Those wrappers are why it works, but anyone can copy them, and Apple could pull it at any time: many reviews demand removal, and the website is already flagged as a scam.
6. How many people know about it / follow the trend
- Revenue isn't public; TrustMRR and the founder haven't shared it. x-radar found 0 results for "charge win" in the last 60 days; no media outlet or major X account has written about it. It's discussed only in consumer circles such as r/beermoney, TikTok/YouTube anti-scam videos, and scamadviser.
- Copycats: the same template's Charge Earn (Android, named on Reddit 2026-08) and Charge Cash (reviewed 2026-10) appeared around the same time. The model was already on Android earlier, so it's hard to tell who copied whom. No second scaled "charge to earn" app has appeared on iOS.
7. What others can learn
- Using "things people already do every day" (charging, walking, sleeping) as the reason to open the app, and monetizing via rewarded video, is a sound idea.
- A tiny first payout that arrives within seconds builds trust very effectively; prompting for a rating at a happy moment can substantially lift the average.
- Category choice: placing the app in a low-barrier category to win chart exposure.
- But its core is a cash-out wall that "promises 30 USD and doesn't pay", carrying risks of removal, complaints, and legal exposure. To build a legitimate version, work out whether the ad revenue per user can cover the cash users actually receive (see how WeWard, Scrambly, and CashDrill deliver real payouts).
8. Still unclear
- Acquisition channels and scale (whether Meta / TikTok / AppLovin is primary, and the CPI) are unverified; not findable in the ad libraries;
- How many people actually mentioned receiving 30 USD;
- Whether the 4.5 average is caused by rating prompts or rating manipulation (inference);
- Whether the Quanzhou team runs other iOS clones of the same template behind it (only 2 app was found under the developer; whether other developer accounts publish apps with the same
com.top.*bundle prefix was not checked); - Whether and when Apple will pull it.
