A German creator with 188k followers posts 30 videos a day and pushed her manifestation app to #1 on the German Top Grossing chart
What it is A German-language manifestation app: meditations, affirmations and subliminal audio, plus AI-generated personal affirmations read aloud. Billed weekly.
Why it took off The creator herself has 188k followers, about ninety percent young women. She posts 20 to 35 short videos a day to funnel viewers into the app, at almost no paid acquisition cost. German-language manifestation apps were already scarce.
CHow you could follow it Don't build a better manifestation app. Build a reskinnable template, then approach creators with 100k-level followings in French, Italian, Spanish and other non-English markets about a revenue split. Launch the app under their name and voice, and let them post the videos that drive installs.

Lola Manifestation is the German TikTok creator Sophia Lola's own app: German meditations, affirmations and subliminal audio, at €6.99 a week. Six weeks after launch, it had over a thousand ratings in Germany and sat around #100 on the Health & Fitness Top Grossing chart. The product is much like others in the category; it took off because of her account. Below: what it sells, where the traffic comes from, how much it makes, and what part of this you can take.
Four days after launch, praise and criticism arrived together
In 2026 Sep 29, TikTok creator @sophialolaaa posted a video with just one line of text, "Die App heißt Lola Manifestation" (the app is called Lola Manifestation), which got 106k views. The app had gone live on the App Store four days earlier, on Sep 25.
The same day, three one-star reviews showed up on the German store page: "It's 6.99 a week and there's nothing free in the app" "Has to be a subscription, 6.99 euros a week, so annoying" "7 euros a week? Honestly can't afford that, what a shame". The day before, on Sep 28, it was a row of five stars: "Finally, an affirmations app that's actually good" "My favorite part is that it generates personalized affirmations for me, and I can listen to them as audio".
These two voices never stopped. By Nov 6, the German store had 1,045 ratings averaging 4.59; Germany, Austria and Switzerland together had 1,258 ratings, with 7 new in the last 146 days (App Store, 11-06).
What it sells
The store description is blunt: "Your daily companion on the way to your dream life." Three content blocks: meditations (short, listen anytime), affirmations (repeat along, listen), and Subliminals ("working in the background for what you want"). Themes: self-love, success, abundance, love, discipline, Glow Up. You open it and answer a string of questions about what you want to manifest, Lola recommends content, and it can generate affirmations with your own goals in them and read them to you.
The monetization is a hard paywall: the quiz runs first, then the subscription screen pops up, and you can't use anything without paying. The store page lists weekly subscriptions at €5.99 / 6.99 / 7.99 and annual subscriptions at €69.99 / 79.99 (German store, 11-06). The Oct 9 1.0.4 release notes read "Reworked Lola Premium, more flexible subscription options," which looks like a response to reviews complaining that €7 a week is too expensive, and it added the annual plan. There have been no updates in nearly four weeks since.
Almost every negative review is about the same thing. The most complete one-star, from Oct 18: "The app looks great, but it should say up front that you can't use it without subscribing. I put effort into filling in everything and never even got a chance to try it." Another: "Spent 20 minutes answering questions, only then found out it's €7 a week, WTF."
Where users come from: her own account, 20 to 35 posts a day
@sophialolaaa has 188k followers, 11M likes and 3,722 videos, with a bio that reads "Glow Up tips / mindset & manifesting" (TikTok, 11-06). Her agency page says: Instagram 110k+ followers, over 90% female audience, core ages 25–34. The first link in her Linktree is Lola's App Store page.
Search "lola manifestation" on TikTok and 18 of the top 20 results are her own posts. From Nov 1 to 6 she posted about 150 videos, 20 to 35 a day, with nearly identical captions: "Folgt mir für mehr so Tipps" (follow me for more tips like this), followed by #lolaapp. Single videos range from a few hundred to 40k views, adding up to 30k to 136k a day.
The comments show what these videos are like. A Nov 5 video with 40k views has its top comment "Manifesting" (573 likes), and below it a whole screen of "Claim 🍀", "Claim all", "I claim this positive energy." An Oct 31 video with 20k views has a column of timestamps: "17:54 ❤️", "18:00 Uhr", "21:28." This looks like the common manifesting format on TikTok, "it's yours if you scroll to it, comment to claim" (inferred): no app features, just a feeling, and people make a wish in the comments. One comment in the middle reads "Do you have to pay in the app?"
Neither the Meta nor the TikTok ad library shows it running any ads (11-06). Not finding ads doesn't mean there are none, but from the above, her own account is the main traffic source.
Where the money comes from, and how much

Source: App Store German chart and ratings, 10-28 to 11-06. It collected 33 ratings in the first 907 days, then 10 to 30 a day, with growth slowing.
Ranked around #100 on the German category Top Grossing chart, which works out to roughly several thousand to over ten thousand euros a month (estimate). Not big, but for a creator it's an extra weekly-renewing income on top of brand deals, and the traffic cost is close to zero.
Who it's competing with
| Product | Scale (App Store, 11-06) | Compared with Lola |
|---|---|---|
| I am – Affirmations (Monkey Taps, 2014) | US 738k and German 18.4k ratings; German H&F Top Grossing 32 | Category leader, mainly English, leans on home-screen widgets and push notifications |
| Stella – Alles manifestieren(2026-01) | US 5,553 and German 220 ratings; German H&F Top Grossing 135 | Also a new manifesting app with a German version, but no creator behind it; its German rating count is a fifth of Lola's |
| 7Mind / Calm / Headspace | German 12k / 78k / 85k ratings; Top Grossing 30 / 14 / 12 | Serious meditation, doesn't touch "manifesting" or "Glow Up" |
| General-purpose AI like ChatGPT | – | Can also write affirmations, but has no audio library and no familiar person reading them to you |
The category is already crowded, and Lola has nothing in the product that others can't build. What it holds is a small gap: German, young women, the manifesting framing, plus a face that followers recognize.
One person promoting three apps; the second and third didn't take off
The same developer account also launched Glowtastic in Sep 24 (a "30-day Glow Up challenge," weekly subscription, no free trial). Another developer with the same surname, Julian Philipp Schafer, launched Liara Manifestation in Oct 1, which looks nearly identical to Lola. She rotates all three app tags through her videos.
The results differ a lot: Glowtastic gathered about 2,900 ratings early on and recently adds only 0 to 4 a day (last 10 days); Liara has been out for over a month with only 10 German ratings (App Store, 11-06). Same person, same videos: the first app took off, the next two didn't. A creator's traffic can push one app onto the charts but can't push the second or third, and doesn't substitute for retention (inferred).
If it were you
C There's something to learn here, but copying it leaves out the one thing that matters most: a creator with 188k followers whose audience is exactly your target users, fronting it herself. The product itself can be built in a week and isn't worth much; distribution is where the value sits, and distribution isn't in your hands.
Who it suits: small teams that already have a ready-made meditation / affirmation subscription app and are willing to negotiate revenue share, or creators who already have a six-figure following in a non-English niche.
Who it doesn't suit: people who hope to build a "better manifesting app" and let it grow naturally in the store. Stella in Germany is the control case: localized, no creator, launched this January, and at 220 German ratings so far. It also doesn't suit anyone aiming at the English market; I am alone has 730k ratings.
How to do it: treat it as a business of building apps for creators, not as a single app. Build a reskinnable template (audio library + questionnaire + AI-generated, read-aloud personalized affirmations + weekly/yearly subscriptions), with each creator getting her own brand, using her name and voice. Offer a free trial before the paywall. Lola's most concentrated complaint is "I filled in a 20-minute questionnaire before finding out I had to pay"; fixing that step will improve both ratings and conversion.
How to acquire users: don't buy ads, find people. Target women creators in French, Italian, Spanish, Polish and Turkish who cover Glow Up / manifesting / self-improvement, with 50k to 300k followers and audiences mostly women aged 18–34. Negotiate revenue share, and have her post daily in the "it's yours, comment to claim" format, with the app first in her bio and link page.
Deadline: there's no hard cutoff. But TikTok may throttle high-frequency posting of the same template at any time, and how long this approach lasts isn't up to you. January is the "new year, new me" season: signing the first creator before year-end and launching in early January is the smoothest timing.
What would show you're wrong: ① Lola's German daily new ratings fall to single digits in December and the Top Grossing rank drops out of the top 200 — that would mean creator-driven subscriptions don't retain, and one-off traffic can't carry a subscription business; ② the first creator you sign has posted for two weeks and still adds fewer than 5 ratings a day — that would mean Lola's results come from her as a person, not from the model; ③ conversely, if a sister app without a creator on camera, like Liara, starts growing, then account-matrix traffic alone can be copied and the barrier is lower than expected, so move fast.

Lola Manifestation: why it took off
Bottom line: This is the app of German TikTok beauty/"Glow Up" creator Sophia Lola (real name Sophia Schäfer, TikTok @sophialolaaa, 188k followers). All its traffic comes from high-frequency product videos on her own account. The product itself is a standard "meditation + affirmations + Subliminals" subscription app with no clear product edge. Scale is small but real: about 6 weeks since launch, around 1,045 German ratings, and Health & Fitness Top Grossing around #100. It took off because of "creator-owned traffic + native German content," not because of the product.
What regions were checked: the appstore library was scanned across all storefronts, and only de / at / ch / lu / bg / sk ever showed it (app.seen_in). Details for de, at and ch are below.
1. What it is
- App Store id 6799765298, bundle
app.lola.manifestation, developer account name "Sophie Lole Schafer," listed 2026-09-25, category Health & Fitness, free download with in-app subscriptions (appstore.app, 2026-11-06). - Content: meditations, affirmations (Affirmationen) and Subliminals in German, themed around self-love, success, abundance and Glow Up. You can "tell Lola what you want to manifest today" to get recommendations, and reviews mention generating personalized affirmations and reading them aloud as audio (German App Store page, 2026-11-06).
- Version 1.0 → 1.0.4 (10-09, "Lola Premium reworked, new more flexible subscription options"), with no updates in the nearly 4 weeks since (app_snapshot).
- The same developer account also has Glowtastic (id 6811788255, listed 2026-09-24, Lifestyle, a "30-day Glow Up challenge" habit app, site zofia-app.de, weekly/yearly subscriptions, no free trial). A developer with the same surname, "Julian Philipp Schafer," listed Liara Manifestation (id 6802071348) on 10-01, nearly identical in form to Lola (appstore.app_profile, iTunes lookup, 2026-11-06).

- Collected about 900 ratings in the first 33 days (10-28 already had 907), then 10~30 a day; about 122 new over 7 days (de). Austria 123 ratings, Switzerland 86 ratings.
- Average rating 4.59 (de, app_snapshot 11-06); at store 4.46.
- Top Grossing: German H&F category Top Grossing 56→110, Austria 88→117, Switzerland 143~178 (app_day). Never made the overall chart. Inferred: around #100 on German H&F Top Grossing, which corresponds to roughly several thousand to over ten thousand euros a month (inferred, not verified).
- Ad libraries: metaads and tiktokads show nothing for Lola, Glowtastic, or related domains (2026-11-06). The ad libraries only track listed products, so "nothing found" doesn't mean no spend, but the evidence below shows her own account is the main traffic source.
3. Competitors
| Product | Platform | Launched | Scale (source) | How Lola differs |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| I am – Sprüche für Selbstliebe / Daily Affirmations(Monkey Taps) | iOS / Android | 2014 | US store 738k ratings, German store 18.4k; Top Grossing in German store H&F 32 (appstore 11-06) | Category leader, English-first, grows through push widgets; Lola is German, with a creator persona and audio |
| Stella – Alles manifestieren(Perl Productions) | iOS | 2026-01 | US store 5,553 ratings, German store 220, Top Grossing in German store H&F 135 | A newly launched manifestation app with a German localization but no creator backing; Lola's German-store rating count is nearly 5× its own |
| 7Mind / Calm / Headspace | iOS / Android | 2013~2015 | German ratings 12k / 78k / 85k; H&F Top Grossing 30 / 14 / 12 | Serious meditation, no "manifestation" framing; Lola targets the young women on TikTok who follow Manifestation / Glow Up |
| Innertune, ThinkUp and other subliminal / affirmation apps | iOS / Android | 2018~2021 | Not found on the German chart library this time (unverified) | Mostly English content |
| Liara Manifestation(Julian Philipp Schafer) | iOS | 2026-10-01 | German 10 ratings; H&F Top Free 30~44 | Nearly the same product, pushed by the same creator; possibly sister apps or a test (inferred) |
| General-purpose AI like ChatGPT | Big-company features | – | – | Also generates affirmations, but no audio library and no companion persona |
Takeaway: the category already has many established products, and Lola shows no obvious product moat.
4. Where the users come from (evidence)
- The blogger has her own TikTok account, confirmed. @sophialolaaa: 188K followers, 11M likes, 3,722 videos, bio "Glow Up Tipps / Mindset & Manifestation" (TikHub user profile, 2026-11-06). Searching "lola manifestation" on TikTok, 18 of the top 20 results are posted by her herself, e.g. 09-29's "Die App heißt Lola Manifestation" with 106K plays, 10-17 another with 29K plays, 10-31 another with 20K, and 11-05 another with 38K (TikHub search, 2026-11-06).
- High-frequency, spammy posting, confirmed. From 11-01 to 11-06 she posted 150 videos, roughly 20 to 35 a day. Captions are nearly all "Folgt mir für mehr so Tipps", rotating the hashtags #lolaapp, #liaraapp and #glowtastic. Total daily views ran 30k to 136k (TikHub fetch_user_post_videos, last 150 videos). The play is pushing her own apps with a large volume of templated short videos.
- Instagram / YouTube / Linktree, confirmed. Her Linktree (linktr.ee/sophialolaa) leads with Lola's App Store page. The agency SocialSpark's profile lists 180k+ TikTok and 110k+ Instagram followers, over 90% female, core age 25–34 (socialspark4ya.com/creator/sophia/, scraped 2026-11-06).
- Paid ads: nothing found in the Meta or TikTok ad libraries (unverified; not finding ads doesn't mean there are none).
- Early reviews may be from insiders: among the earliest five-star reviews in September 27–28 on the App Store, one reviewer named "Jxlian02_" shares a name with Liara developer Julian Schafer (inferred, unverified). But 1,000 ratings, an average of 4.6, and steady new ratings every day don't look fully fake.
5. Why it took off
- Traffic costs are close to zero: a German beauty and manifestation creator with 188k followers posting dozens of videos a day to drive traffic to her own apps (TikHub).
- Audience and topic line up tightly: her followers are the Manifestation / Glow Up target group (90% female, 25–34 years old, SocialSpark), and the app's theme, pitch and her content match exactly.
- A gap in the German market: the leading manifestation apps are mainly English; in German only Stella has localized, and at small scale (appstore de). Audio content in native German plus a familiar persona lowers the conversion barrier (inferred).
- Subscription model, charting in Top Grossing: the German store Top Grossing chart sits around rank 100 in H&F, which means people are paying (appstore app_day).
6. Differentiation
The product itself isn't much different from I am or Stella. The real difference is that "the creator is the brand," plus German content. That difference is why it took off, but the edge is in distribution, not the product. One account pushed three apps at once. After Glowtastic built up about 2,900 ratings early, it has added only 0 to 4 a day over the last 10 days (appstore de). Liara got only 10 ratings in a week of promotion. Creator traffic can launch an app, but it doesn't last. Retention and repeat purchases have to come from the product itself (inferred).
7. Takeaways
- The "creator-owned app" model: a creator with hundreds of thousands of followers and a clearly defined niche turns follower traffic into subscription revenue with a templated app (audio library plus AI-personalized affirmations). The same framework with a different skin can spawn more Glowtastics and Liaras.
- For developers: instead of finding traffic yourself, look for creators in German, French or Spanish markets and do revenue-share deals, then build a localized manifestation or meditation app.
- Dozens of templated short videos a day to drive traffic: very low cost and easy to copy, but it risks platform throttling.
8. Still uncertain
- Real revenue and retention: the chart position hovers around rank 100, but the dollar amounts are uncertain.
- Who built it: possibly family (Julian Schafer) or a contractor. Whether the "Sophie Lole Schafer" developer account belongs to her personally is unverified.
- Whether there is paid acquisition: the ad libraries don't cover it, unverified.
- How many ratings come from insiders or incentivized reviews: unverified.
