A7match, a dating platform for high-net-worth people · Chengdu Shiguang Chuansuo Network Technology Co., Ltd.

"Starting at asset A7" dating app: 23 ratings, charting at #50 in the Lifestyle Top Grossing chart

What it is: a Chinese dating app. Women join for free. Men must verify their assets and buy a membership from ¥88/month to chat. The name and entry bar both use the internet meme "asset A7 / A8 / A9".

Why it took off: a batch of 1 to 50k-follower female relationship accounts on Douyin posted videos under the #A7match hashtag. The "which A are you" meme alone drew thousands of comments. Only men pay, so the ticket price is high, and the Lifestyle Top Grossing chart is easy to crack. A few thousand yuan a day is enough to get charted.

CHow you could follow: don't copy the dating platform as is. What's worth borrowing is the playbook: use a controversial grading term from a community as the name and entry bar, give the scarce side away for free, charge the other side, then use a network of small creators plus DOU+ to build traffic. It suits people who already have a group of female followers or users on one side.

C grade: the playbook is clear and few people know about it, but revenue is small (estimated just over $10k a month). Dating needs people on both sides, and paying users are already complaining that "there's no one here". It also carries risks of fake reviews and false advertising. Followers starting from zero will most likely repeat the same churn. Learn the method, but don't copy the product. Still little known

Chengdu-based small company Sep 22 launched A7match, writing the wealth-grading slang popular online, "asset A7 / A8 / A9", directly into the app name. Women join for free. Men must verify their assets and buy a membership to chat. Six weeks after launch it had only 23 ratings on the China App Store, yet it was charting every day at #42 to #59 in the Lifestyle Top Grossing chart. Money is coming in, but the first paying users are already writing bad reviews saying "there's no one in it". What's worth learning is its traffic method. The product itself isn't worth copying.

A male user who came in from Douyin

On Oct 25, a user named Vera666777 left a one-star review on the App Store: "I saw it recommended on Douyin, it says high-net-worth people, but there are hardly any real users. You have to pay for membership right away, and you can only see 20 people a day... I bought the 288 three-month plan and only used it for one day before wanting a refund."

This review covers three things about A7match: users come from Douyin; the selling point is "high-net-worth people"; and money is collected up front, ¥88 for one month and ¥288 for three months, from men only.

What it is

A Chinese dating app whose store page opens with "Serious dating should naturally have a bar to clear." The official site a7match.com is more direct: "Starting at A7, strictly verified for tens of millions in assets." Three layers of verification: asset proof, business registration, and credit report. "Over 10,000+ verified users, average asset level A8" (self-reported on the official site, can't be verified). By the way, in common online usage A7 means seven-figure assets, i.e. millions. The official site calls it "tens of millions", which bumps it up a level.

The mechanics are Bumble-style, with women moving first: women write "my core" and set a few questions on their profile, men write "my responsibility", and men must answer first. Chat only opens once the woman replies. The problem is the entry bar: several bad reviews say that even after passing real-person and asset verification, you can't swipe left or chat without buying a membership. One user wrote in Oct 14, "After updating, paid chat is now required, and the update notes say nothing about it," which suggests the paywall was tightened in mid-October.

The developer is Chengdu Shiguang Chuansuo Network Technology, founded in 2022, registered capital 1M. Its previous product, "只甜-脱单就卸载", launched 2022 years ago and, after four years, has only 121 ratings.

23 ratings, so why is it on the bestseller chart?

China App Store, 10-28 to 11-06, charting every day at #42–#59. On the Hong Kong store, the same chart places it #77–#192.

To be clear, the bar for this chart is low: in Nov 6, #49 on the same chart, "舞动相机", had only 43 ratings, #51 had 47, and #52 had 79. Reaching #50 corresponds to roughly a few thousand yuan a day in revenue (estimate). Appfigures' public page estimates fewer than 5,000 global downloads in October and about $15k in revenue after Apple's cut, with 100% coming from China (third-party estimate, unverified).

The numbers aren't large, but for a new app with so few ratings, it shows that each paying user pays a lot. It didn't grow by volume. It grew on high ticket prices.

Where users come from: a batch of female relationship accounts

As of Nov 6, the Douyin hashtag #A7match had 769k views, but only 65 creators took part. Views this high with this few posters look more like paid, batch-by-batch distribution than users spreading it on their own.

The timeline goes like this:

  • Sep 28: an account with 417 followers, "Sharpay🍁雅倩", posted "A7 Match this reverse-operation wave is absolutely viral", with 1,046 likes and 951 shares. With so few followers and shares almost matching likes, it was likely boosted with DOU+ or passed around in groups (inference).
  • Sep 29: "梨锦程", with 31k followers, posted "Looks like I've found a way to get into a relationship...#A7match", with 4,485 likes and 4,811 comments. This was its only viral post. Almost nobody in the comments talked about the app. People argued about "I'm A7 and nobody chases me", "only C7 works", and "will A7 pay for membership?" That account posted again in Nov 5, looking like a renewed contract.
  • Oct 10 to Nov 5: a dozen or so relationship and women's growth accounts with 1 to 50k followers posted in turn, with almost identical hashtag combinations: "#A7match #择偶 #高质量恋爱 #严肃恋爱", each getting dozens to over a hundred likes.

Almost all of these accounts are female relationship accounts, and the script is "A7-start male guests". In other words, the ads are aimed at women: women come in for free, and the men who pay are those who came because they heard "there are high-quality women here".

Store reviews also show signs of help. The 5-star reviews cluster from Oct 16 to 21, several a day, with lines like "user quality is so high, I've already recommended it to my sisters" and "it's so good, I don't deserve it." On Oct 18, one 5-star review was about "wide asset-type coverage, clear net-worth calculation logic... an asset management tool for high-net-worth people", which has nothing to do with this app and looks like a review-farming task posted to the wrong app. On Android, on 应用宝, it has 136 downloads, 60 reviews, and a 5.0 rating, and that ratio is also off.

No evidence found of Xiaohongshu ads or Apple Search Ads. No media coverage, and nobody on X has mentioned it.

Why it took off

The name is the meme. "资产 A7/A8/A9" has been explained over and over on Zhihu, Sohu, and Xueqiu in the past couple of years, and everyone wants to say which A they are. Putting it in the app name means that once a video goes up, the comments start arguing on their own. The 4,811 comments under 梨锦程 came about exactly that way.

Riding an existing emotion. After the "get big results" approach popularized by 曲曲大女人 was shut down, 2026 years ago in March, the same people built another app, "美人支招" (per 36kr, it reportedly made several million in revenue in its first 89 days). Offline "asset-verified matchmaking events" had long existed in Beijing, Shanghai, and Chengdu, where men paid for 50M asset verification at ¥6,000 a session while women came free. A7match moved that offline model into an app, with prices starting at ¥88. In App Store "customers also bought", it appears alongside 美人支招. In Oct 3, one review said only five words: "got the big result".

Only one side pays. Women get in free and get first pick; men pay for verification, a quiz and a membership. That's how offline matchmaking events have always charged.

The charts are cheap. Getting onto the China store's Lifestyle top-grossing chart costs a few thousand yuan a day, and boosting posts from 1 to 50k-follower accounts with DOU+ doesn't cost much either.

Offline asset-verified matchmaking eventsAvailable in Beijing, Shanghai and ChengduSame model: women free, men pay, men's assets verified; a few thousand yuan per event

"High-end, asset-verified, women free, men pay" is an old playbook in China's dating scene. A7match's new parts are just two: using the "A7" meme as its name, and gating only on men's assets. There's nothing new in the features. We haven't found a copycat app with the same name and approach yet.

Its weak spots are already showing

Dating apps fear empty rooms on both sides. Almost all of A7match's one-star reviews say the same thing:

"After paying a one-month 88 membership I found I could only swipe a few people a day... there were barely any people in here to begin with." (10-19)
"Spent ¥188 and got nothing. It was supposed to be one week, but I was charged for three months, and the rest is not refunded." (10-14)
"Even after verification, once you match, you can't talk to them." (10-08)

Men pulled in by paid ads find hardly any women; the good reviews, propped up by fake ratings, can't hold back paying users who come back to complain. The "triple verification of multi-million assets" claim, read alongside a user saying "even after asset verification passes, you still can't swipe right," carries false-advertising risk.

If it were you

One-line verdict: Don't copy this product, but do note how it got its traffic. Dating is a two-sided business, and cold start is the hardest part. A7match is collecting money now through ads and high ticket prices, before it has built up its user base, so how long that lasts is unclear.

Who it suits: People who already have one side of users, like a women's emotional-growth or relationship account, or a community with a base of female followers who only lack a product to monetize; or dating and social apps that want to reposition and restart growth (this company is one: its old product had 121 ratings after four years, and after switching to the "A7" positioning it hit the top-grossing chart within six weeks).

Who it doesn't suit: Anyone starting from zero with no users, trying to build a dating platform on a single new meme. You'll be like A7match: you get paid in month one and bad reviews in month two. It's also not for anyone unwilling to deal with regulation: real-name and licensing requirements for dating platforms, plus claims like "asset verification," carry risk.

How to do it:

  1. Pick a tiered label that already sparks debate in its community as both the name and the gate. "A-number" is about assets; the same approach could work with education, city, job or height. Once the name is out, the comments fight on their own.
  2. Give the scarce side away free, charge the other side, and use "verification" to justify the high price.
  3. Fill up the scarce side before you turn on payments. A7match's lesson: after it tightened the paywall in mid-October, the bad reviews came in, and they were all about "no one being there."
  4. Don't fake reviews. Anyone can see that the 5-star "asset management tool" review was fake.

How to get users: On Douyin, find women's emotions and dating accounts with 1 to 50k followers, align on one topic, post in batches with DOU+ boosts, and only drop the tier meme so the comments fight it out. It got 65 creators to bring in 770k views, with one post drawing 4,800+ comments.

When the window is: The window isn't about A7match, it's while this kind of meme is still hot. The "A7" meme and the "get big results" feeling will likely be replaced by other phrasing within a year or two (our inference).

Signs you've misread it: 1) If in six months A7match's ratings climb into the hundreds and the bad reviews stop saying "no one's here," its ads really did build both sides, and the positioning is sturdier than it looks, so it's worth following; 2) Conversely, if by December it drops out of the top 100 on the chart and refund complaints keep piling up, this was a quick cash grab on ads, and even its growth playbook should be discounted.

A7match, the high-net-worth dating platform (iOS 6803396112), and how it got off the ground

One line

A small Chengdu company (Chengdu Shiguang Chuansuo Network Technology, founded in 2022, registered capital ¥1M) launched a dating app 2026-09-22. It turns the online meme "asset A7/A8/A9" into an entry gate: women get in free, but men have to verify assets, business registration and credit, and buy a membership (¥88/month, ¥288/3 for 6 months) before they can chat. Eight weeks in, it has only 23 ratings, yet it has sat at #42–59 on the China store's Lifestyle Top Grossing chart. Two things drive that: a batch of small Douyin creators pushing the #A7match hashtag (starting Sep 28), and paid access charged only to men, which keeps the average ticket high. The product itself is thin, there are very few people on it, and paying users are already leaving reviews that say "there's nobody here."

1. Data: few ratings, yet it holds on the Top Grossing chart

  • Ratings: As of 11-06, 23 total, averaging 3.78; 7 new in the last 7 days. Daily numbers in our database: 10-28, 16,10-31, 19,11-04, 21,11-05, 23 (appstore database app_day).
  • Top Grossing: On the China "Lifestyle" Top Grossing chart (6012), present every day from 10-28 to 11-06, ranking #42–59 (best #42, in 10-30; 11-06 was 50). On the Hong Kong chart, #77–192; it appeared once on the Japan chart at #142 (appstore database). It never made the overall chart or the Top Free chart.
  • This chart has a low bar: On the same chart, #11-06 "49" has only 43 ratings, #51 "Weekday 8 Membership" has 47, and #52 "One-Click AI Home Design" has 79 (appstore database). So ranking #50 likely means revenue of a few thousand yuan a day. Still, for a new app with only 23 ratings, that shows strong monetization. Established dating apps on the same chart: Shijii Jiayuan best #65, Baihe #124, Zhenai #28, Qingteng Zhilian #11, Qianshou #8 (appstore database app_profile best_cat_rank).
  • Third-party estimate: Appfigures public pages estimate 2026 October global downloads under 5K, and about $15K in net revenue after store fees, 100% from China (appfigures.com/reports/app-profile/338689420600, unverified).
  • Android: Tencent App Store (应用宝) shows 136 downloads, 60 reviews, and a 5.0 rating (sj.qq.com/appdetail/com.a789.a7match). The ratio of reviews to downloads is abnormal and likely inflated, which also suggests its main market is iOS.
  • Versions: 1.0.6 → 1.0.7 (10-30) → 1.0.8 (11-04), with boilerplate release notes. 10-14 one 1-star review says "After the update, you have to pay to chat, and the update notes say nothing about it," suggesting the paywall was tightened in mid-October.

2. Competitors: old playbook, new packaging

"High-end / asset verification / free for women, paid for men" is an old formula in China's dating industry. Both online and offline players run it; A7match isn't the first.

Takeaway: Many products do the same thing. A7match is new in two ways: its name and positioning use the online "asset A7" meme directly, and its only hard admission requirement is one asset condition for men.

3. Growth tactics

Douyin creator blitz (confirmed, the main channel)

  • One user says outright in a 1-star review: "The Douyin recommendation said high-net-worth people... I joined for 288 three months" (Vera666777,10-25, App Store review).
  • The Douyin hashtag #a7match has 769k views with only 65 creators involved (TikHub hashtag search, 11-06). Views this high with so few participants look like paid promotion, not organic spread.
  • Videos found (TikHub Douyin search):
    • 09-28 Sharpay🍁雅倩 (417 followers), "The A7 Match reverse move is totally on fire": 1,046 likes, 951 shares. Few followers yet shares nearly match likes, suggesting DOU+ or group-chat resharing.
    • 09-29 梨锦程 (31k followers), "Looks like I found a way to end my single life... #A7match": 4,485 likes, 4,811 comments, 2,090 shares. This is the hit. The comments are almost all "I'm an A7 and nobody pursues me," "C7 is what works," "Will A7 pay for membership?", an organic conversation triggered by the "A-number" meme. 11-05 this account posted again (repost).
    • Web search also turned up 林静瑶 and 久财盒子, two profiles using #A7match. They normally post album organization, bag unboxings, and weddings, general lifestyle accounts that take sponsored posts.
  • Nearly all the creators are women's relationship accounts, pitching "high-quality male guests / starting at asset A7." The targeting is aimed at women: women enter free, and the men who pay are drawn in by "high-quality women here."

Incentivized reviews / review fraud (confirmed traces)

  • 23 ratings are polarized: 5-star ratings cluster from 10-16 to 10-21, about 6 a day, with lines like "the user quality is amazing" and "already recommended it to my girlfriends"; 1-star ratings are all paying users complaining "everything needs membership" and "bought ¥188 and got no refund for three months" and "there's no one there."
  • 10-18 one 5-star review praises the "wide range of asset types, clear net worth calculation... asset management tool," which doesn't match the product and looks like a crossed-over review task (App Store review RSS).
  • 11-02 one 5-star review says "Much better than offline matchmakers charging tens of thousands in service fees, easily meet a8a9 male guests", with marketing-style wording.
  • Tencent App Store (应用宝) shows 136 downloads against 60 reviews and a 5.0 rating, also suspicious.

Official site and trust claims

  • a7match.com (launched 9-14) says "over 10,000+ verified users, average asset level A8" and "A7 minimum, strict verification of ten-million-yuan assets, triple certification: asset proof, business registration, credit check" (unverified, and it conflicts with the "no one there" reviews).
  • Note: by the common online definition, A7 means assets in the 7-digit range, i.e., millions. The official site's "A7 minimum, ten million" pushes the level up by one tier (sohu.com/a/993569698_114662 and others).

4. Why it took off

  1. The name is the joke. "Asset A7/A8/A9" is a wealth-tier slang that leaked out of the real estate and crypto circles and has been explained over and over on Chinese internet over the past couple of years (Zhihu, Sohu, Xueqiu, Binance Square all have explainer posts). Putting it straight into the app name gets people posting about "which A am I" in self-flex and roasts. That's where the 4,811 comments under Li Jincheng's post came from.
  2. Timing: "high-net-worth matchmaking" is a hot topic in relationship content. After the "big result" girlboss-style talk was banned on Qu Qu Da Nv Ren, in March 2026 a new app called Meiren Zhichi ("Beauty Coach") launched (millions of revenue in 89 days, 36k KR). Chengdu "high-net-worth matchmaking" videos have kept appearing for 2026 years. Offline asset-verified matchmaking events already proved that "men pay, women go free, men get their assets checked" has buyers. A7match moves this demand online, and it has been showing up alongside Meiren Zhichi in App Store "People also bought".
  3. Charges only one side, high ticket price. Women are free and get priority access. Men need verification plus a membership starting at ¥88/month before they can swipe left or chat (confirmed by multiple bad reviews). It reached the Lifestyle Top Grossing chart at #50 with only 23 ratings, because each paying user pays a lot, not because there are many users.
  4. Low acquisition cost. It runs DOU+ boosts through a matrix of women's relationship accounts with 1–50k followers, without paying top influencers. The China store's Lifestyle Top Grossing chart is also easy to get on: a few thousand yuan in daily revenue is enough.

5. Differentiation

  • The real differentiator is the positioning copy. It builds the brand on the "A7" meme and only checks the man's assets for entry. The product mechanics ("my responsibility / my core", women write the questions, men answer first, only women can open the chat) are Bumble-style "women move first" plus Q&A icebreakers. Hinge and Ergou have both done this, so it's not new.
  • This differentiator is genuinely why it took off. It makes the ad creative carry its own topic, and it gives men a reason to pay ("I'm paying to get into the high-asset circle").
  • But it can't fix the supply mismatch on the two sides. Bad reviews already say "I can only swipe through 20 people a day" and "there are barely any people on it." There's no evidence the asset verification is as strict as the website claims.

6. How visible it is

Not many people know about it yet. No media coverage, 0 posts on X, and no public revenue figures. On Douyin there are only 65 creators and 770k views, and mostly it's paid promotion by the app itself. I haven't found any copycats running the exact same name and playbook. That said, the "high-end verified dating" category was already crowded (Xiao Shijie, MarryU, Luxy, offline matchmaking events).

7. What others can learn

  • Turn circle slang straight into a product name and entry label. The name alone is a content hook, and the comments section fights over it for you.
  • A two-sided market that charges only one side. Give the scarce side (here, young women) free access, charge the other side, and use "verification" to justify the high price.
  • Low-barrier bestseller charts plus a matrix of small influencers. Ranking #50 on the China store's Lifestyle Top Grossing chart takes very little revenue, and a batch of niche accounts with 1–50k followers plus DOU+ can get it going.
  • The risks are just as transferable: a new platform has too few people on both sides, and paying users will immediately turn on it in bad reviews. Claims like "verified ¥10M in assets" carry regulatory and false-advertising risk.

8. Still unclear

  • Actual revenue and paying-user numbers. Appfigures' $15K/month is an estimate; the chart position only implies a daily revenue in the thousands of yuan.
  • How asset verification actually works (the website says triple verification, while users say "even after asset verification passes, I still can't swipe left").
  • Its 9-22 → 10-28 had no database data. The peak ranking after the 9-28 and 9-29 Douyin hits is unknown.
  • I didn't find evidence of RedNote seeding. Whether it bought Apple Search Ads is unknown.
  • The same company's older app "Zhi Tian - Delete After Hooking Up" (launched 2022-08, still at 121 ratings, best Lifestyle rank #113) shows the team has been doing dating for four years. This relaunch with the "asset threshold" positioning has clearly done better than the old product, but the team size and ad budget are unknown.
