# "Under R$10, no personal trainer needed": a Brazilian web fitness business that got an App Store listing under a new name

**What it is** A Portuguese-language Brazilian app: answer a few questions, and AI builds you a home or gym training plan, billed monthly as a subscription.

**Why it took off** The company behind it spent over a year running short videos on TikTok and Instagram with "under R$10, no personal trainer needed," building a base of paying web users. When the app launched, those existing users became the first downloads and five-star reviews.

**C** **How you can follow it** Don't build another Brazilian AI training plan app. Copy the sequence instead: pick a service where "hiring a pro is expensive," validate payment with short videos and a web offer selling a cheaper alternative, then launch an app and move the existing users into it.

Grade C: Brazilian AI training plan subscriptions already have a dozen or more players, including Befit and TapFit, and Treinou is only a follower. It took off because of its own ad accounts and web users, which followers can't get. Only the playbook is worth learning. Still little known

Treinou is a Portuguese-language custom training plan app for Brazil, launched in Oct 5. In one month it collected 109 ratings at 4.87 stars and hovered around #100 on the Brazil Health & Fitness free chart. It looks like a new small app, but behind it is a Brazilian company that has run web subscriptions for over a year and has TikTok accounts at the 200k-follower level. The app took off on that existing base, and the product itself is nothing new. The Brazilian category is already crowded, so what's worth taking is the playbook, not this product.

### "What's this app called?"

In early July 2025, the TikTok account @personalinteligenteofc2 posted a video captioned only "Descubra como otimizar seu treino e alcançar o corpo que deseja!" (Discover how to optimize your workout and get the body you want!). By Nov 6 2026, the video had 2.23M views and 17.7k likes. The top comment was:

> qual nome do app 🙏🏼 (what's the name of this app 🙏)

Over the following year, the same question kept appearing under the video: "Qual o app?" (2026-01) and "Qual nome do aplicativo" (2026-07). But at that point there was no app. The account bio linked to a website, personalinteligente.online: fill out a questionnaire, sign up, pay, and get a training plan, initially as a PDF.

In 2026 October, the same company rebranded and turned the offering into a native app listed on the store. That's Treinou.

### What it is

Open the app and answer a few questions: goal (fat loss, muscle gain, toning, "lose and gain at once," or all of them), level, home or gym, and you get a plan "built for your situation." It also tracks lifts, swaps exercises, logs progress photos, streaks, and water reminders. The store description opens with "Cansou de seguir ficha genérica que não combina com a sua rotina?" (Tired of generic workout sheets that don't fit your routine?)

It's a monthly auto-renewing subscription. Neither the store page nor the website lists a price.

The Brazilian App Store has 8 written reviews, all five stars, mostly one or two words: "Melhor app" (best app), "Top," "Realmente muito bom" (really very good). A few read like real people: "Comecei a usar hoje, gostei muito" (started using it today, really like it), and "Poderia ter uma comunidade fitness, mas os treinos são perfeitos" (it could use a fitness community, but the workouts are perfect).

### Who's behind it

The developer on the App Store is Treinasso. The seller is **Personal Inteligente LTDA** , registered in Volta Redonda, Rio de Janeiro, in Feb 2025 14. The name means "smart personal trainer."

Its web business looks roughly like this (all from public web pages):

- **The pitch is one line: cheap** . An Instagram post says: "Training plan 100% customized to your data and goals ✓ Download PDF… all of this for under R$10." The TikTok bio reads: "Pagar caro no personal? Nunca mais!" (Paying a lot for a personal trainer? Never again!)

- **Traffic comes from short video** . @personalinteligenteofc2 has 216k followers and 673 videos. Another account, @treinou.ai, has 14k followers, and its bio says "Faça como mais de 100 mil pessoas" (Do what over 100k people are doing). The Instagram @treinou.ai shows 181k followers in search snippets (not verified by logging in). The "100k people" figure is the company's own claim.

- **The videos look like batch-produced ad creative** . Of the 338 public videos on the main account, 303 were posted in a single month, September 2025. The same caption "Descubra como otimizar seu treino…" appears 174 times, and "Seu treino totalmente personalizado!" appears 99 times. The background music is tagged "Promoted Music." The 2.23M-view video has only 51 comments, half of them single emojis. These traits look more like ad creative concentrated on one account than normal day-to-day posting (inferred). After 2026, new videos mostly get a few hundred to just over ten thousand views.

- **The code is outsourced** . Brazilian outsourcing shop MV Dev Solutions put "Personal Inteligente" in its portfolio: React Native + Node + Firebase, training plans generated with GPT-4, payments via PIX and cards (EFI Pay, Mercado Pago, Asaas), plans split into monthly, quarterly and yearly. So iOS and Android share one codebase and launch together. Treinou, on Google Play, has 10k+ downloads (11-06).

The model has a cost. On the consumer complaint site Reclame Aqui, Personal Inteligente has racked up 33 complaints since December 2025, the latest from November 1, nearly all about "can't cancel the subscription", "still charged after cancelling" and "refund please". One from December 2025 puts it bluntly:

> Propaganda enganosa, no Instagram parece ser bom. Eu comprei o plano simples e é só uns treinos aleatórios. (Misleading ads, it looked great on Instagram. I bought the basic plan and it's just a few random workouts.)

### How the ratings built up

| Date | Brazil store rating count | Added that day |
|---|---|---|
| 10-28 | 63 | — |
| 10-31 | 77 | 5 |
| 11-04 | 81 | 0 |
| 11-05 | 86 | 5 |
| 11-06 | 103 | 17 |

App Store Brazil daily rating count, 10-28 to 11-06. 11-06 Apple's API shows 109 ratings, averaging 4.87 stars.

These ratings don't come from store search. Three plausible sources (all inferences): first, older web users were pointed to the app; treinou.com now only has a legacy user login page. Second, the app prompts users for a rating, and 8 five-star short reviews look very much like that. Third, the name helps: "Treinou" means "trained" in Portuguese, so it can show up when people search training terms. 11-06 added 17 ratings in one day, and I can't see any matching external event.

It charted on Brazil's Health & Fitness Top Free (10-28 to 11-06, ranked #98–169), but **it has never appeared on any Top Grossing chart** . Subscription revenue in the app is probably still small (inference). It shipped more than 12 versions in one month, so it iterates fast.

The same developer account also launched **Minha Canetinha** on 10-05: a tool for people on GLP-1 weight-loss injections ("canetinha", little pen, is what Brazilians call them) to log their doses. It has 64 ratings, peaked at #87 on Health & Fitness Top Free, and its site is still on vercel.app. The pattern is clear: same outsourced codebase, one local-trend tool after another.

### Who it's competing with

This category in Brazil is already crowded, and Treinou is one of the followers. Looking only at the Brazil App Store Health & Fitness chart (11-06):

| Product | Launched | Brazil market size | Versus Treinou |
|---|---|---|---|
| Befit: Plano e Treino Academia | 2025-01 | 16.7k ratings, #4 on Health & Fitness Top Grossing | Same questionnaire → plan → subscription model, already making serious money |
| TapFit: Treino e Dieta | 2026-05 | 1279 rating, +206 over the last 7 days, Top Grossing #27 | Brazilian indie dev, launched half a year later, already taking payments |
| ChillFit: Treino em casa | 2025-10 | 1680 ratings, Top Grossing #40 | Home workouts only, driven by paid acquisition |
| Gym WP - Treino Academia | 2020 | 24.6k ratings, Top Grossing #16 | Established local training-plan app |
| Hevy | 2019 | 25.9k ratings, Top Grossing #24 | Workout logging plus community |
| Fitbod, SmartGym, Gravl, Muscle Booster | 2014–2023 | A few hundred to 12k ratings | Overseas AI training plans, localized into Portuguese |
| Rivlo, Reft, Kampp, MeuTreinador, treino.io | 2025–2026 | A few hundred to two thousand ratings | Small Brazilian teams with the same idea |
| Smart Fit App, TotalPass, Pacto Treino | big tech | 100k+ ratings | Free training plans bundled with gym and corporate-perk memberships |

And the biggest free substitute: ask ChatGPT or Gemini to build you a plan directly.

Minha Canetinha's space is even more crowded: similar tools launched in May, already at 22.9k ratings and #6 on Health & Fitness Top Grossing, with 1201 new ratings in the last 7 days.

### Why it could take off, and why it probably won't get that big

It could take off because it doesn't start from zero: more than a year of short-video ads built a base of users who have already paid, plus a line that hit millions of views among Brazil's mainstream fitness audience: "spend under R$10, no personal trainer needed". Once the app went live, those people were the first downloads and the first five-star reviews. Moving from web to app also hands billing and cancellations to Apple and Google, which should mean fewer Reclame Aqui complaints like the ones above.

It probably won't get that big because on features it's no different from Befit or TapFit, and the app space already has incumbents. TapFit started half a year later with far fewer followers, yet its iOS rating count is more than ten times Treinou's and it charts on Top Grossing.

Few people outside are paying attention yet: no press coverage, no discussion on X, no public revenue figures.

### If it were you

**C** . Building a Portuguese AI training-plan app for Brazil isn't worth it: the category is saturated, and Treinou's traction came from its own 200k-follower ad accounts and a base of legacy web users, which you won't have. What's worth copying is the order of operations: sell a cheap substitute on the web with short videos to prove people will pay, then bring those users into the app.

**Who it suits** : fitness creators with a local following, personal trainers, nutritionists, or a team of 1–2 people who can run TikTok / Instagram short-video ads and speak a minority language natively.

**Who it doesn't suit** : people who only code and hope for organic store traffic, or anyone wanting to launch another "AI training plan" in a saturated market like Brazil or the US.

**How to do it** : don't copy the category, copy the playbook. Pick a service where hiring a professional is expensive (personal training, nutrition, medication tracking, exam prep), hook with a price comparison, and launch on the web first: questionnaire → generated plan → low one-time or monthly payment. Once paying users show up, ship iOS and Android from one React Native codebase and move your users over. Or follow Minha Canetinha and build small tools around whatever local trend is hot (like GLP-1 weight-loss injections). Make cancelling simple. Nearly all of this app's complaints are about that.

**How to get users** : vertical short video, one line of copy, link in bio, batch-produce creatives and test them in bulk. When commenters ask "what's the app called?", the line has landed. After the app launches, ask existing users in-app for a rating to bootstrap your cold-start count.

**When to start early** : fitness has two big yearly peaks, New Year's resolutions in January and Brazil's "projeto verão" (summer slimming, December to February). To catch this wave, start web ads before mid-December.

**What would mean I got this wrong** : ① Treinou reaches Brazil's Health & Fitness Top Grossing top 50 before the end of 2026, which would show that migrating an existing base can bring in app revenue and the playbook is worth more than I think. ② Conversely, if its rating growth falls to one or two a day after November, the migrated users are exhausted and the app step isn't paying off. ③ ChatGPT or Gemini launches training plans with logging and tracking in Brazil, which would squeeze this whole category.

## Treinou (iOS id6805610435): why it's getting traction

> Research date 2026-11-06. Sources: our appstore / googleplay / metaads libraries (agent-im server), Apple lookup and review RSS, Jina search and page text, TikHub (TikTok), x-radar.

### Bottom line

Treinou is not a new product. It's a web subscription business that the Brazilian company **Personal Inteligente LTDA** (CNPJ 59.464.622/0001-13,2025-02-14, registered in Volta Redonda, Rio de Janeiro state) has run for over a year, rebranded and launched as a native app in 2026 October. It sells "a custom fitness plan for less than R$10, no personal trainer needed" and has previously pulled users in through Instagram and TikTok content and ads. The 100+ ratings on iOS come mainly from existing customers moving into the app, plus prompted reviews. It isn't organic store traction, and the product doesn't fill any real gap in Brazil.

### 1. Basic data

| Metric | Value | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Launched | 2026-10-05 (iOS), developer name Treinasso, seller Personal Inteligente LTDA | Apple lookup |
| Version | 1.0.21 (2026-10-28), more than 12 versions shipped in one month | lookup / data card |
| Rating | 4.87 stars / 109 ratings (br); in our library it went from 10-28 to 63 to 11-06 to 103, +7 over 31,11-06 days, +17 in one day | appstore.app_day |
| Charts | Has only charted on the Brazil Health & Fitness free chart, between #10-28 and #11-06 (98–169); 11-03 appeared once in Botswana (#162); **never charted on any grossing chart** | appstore.app_day |
| Android | Also called Treinou on Google Play (com.treinou.app), developer NP Inteligente, **10k+ downloads** , updated 2026-10-12 | Google Play page |
| Paid | Monthly auto-renewing subscription; no price listed in the store or on the website | Store description; treinou.com has only a login page |

The store has only 8 reviews, all 5 stars, mostly one or two words ("Melhor app", "Top", "Realmente muito bom"). One says "Poderia ter uma comunidade fitness" and another "Comecei a usar hoje", so real people are clearly using it. Still, reviews this uniformly short and positive also fit an in-app prompt that asks users to rate.

### 2. Key finding: the app is an extension of the web business

- **Personal Inteligente has run a web subscription business for over a year** : the homepage of personalinteligente.online has two entry points, "Quero montar meu treino personalizado / Já sou cliente". Its Reclame Aqui company page has 33 complaints in total and 6.9k page views; the earliest batch is from 2025-12, the most recent from 2026-11-01. Nearly all complaints are about "can't cancel the subscription", "still charged after cancelling", or "want a refund". 2025-12 One user wrote: "Propaganda enganosa, no Instagram parece ser bom. Eu comprei o plano simples e é só uns treinos aleatórios". That shows users arrived from Instagram and that there are tiered plans.

- **A large social media back catalogue** :
    - TikTok @personalinteligenteofc2: **216k followers, 2.35M likes, 673 videos** , bio links to personalinteligente.online/signup. The most popular one was posted 2025-07-03 and has **2.23M views** ; 2025-11-03 two others have 260k and 90k views. Since 2026 most posts get only a few hundred to about ten thousand views. (TikHub, scraped 2026-11-06)
    - TikTok @treinou.ai: 14k followers, 405 videos, bio reads "Faça como mais de 100 mil pessoas 👇 MONTE SEU TREINO NO LINK ABAIXO". Posts from 2026 4 to September get only a few hundred views each, with captions like "menos de R$10" and "link na bio". (TikHub)
    - Instagram @treinou.ai: search snippets show **181k followers, 531 posts** , bio reads "Treinos personalizados em vídeo / Acompanhamento com personal" (from Jina search snippets, not verified by logging in). There is also an @personalinteligenteonline account.

- **Outsourced tech** : Brazilian agency MV Dev Solutions lists "Personal Inteligente" in its portfolio (a 2025-year project): React Native + Node + Firebase, GPT-4 generating training plans, payments via EFI Pay, Mercado Pago and Asaas (PIX and card), plans billed monthly, quarterly and yearly. That explains why iOS and Android shipped on the same codebase at the same time. (mvdevsolutions.com.br/en/projects/personal-inteligente-ai-powered-fitness-platform)

- **Same publisher, batch launches** : the same developer account 10-05 also shipped **Minha Canetinha** the same day (a GLP-1 "pen needle" dosing log, 64 ratings / 4.72 stars, best rank #87 on the Brazil Health & Fitness Top Free chart, now #131, still on a vercel.app domain).

### 3. Competitors: this Brazilian niche is crowded, not empty

The recall reason's claim that "the Brazilian Portuguese market is still a gap" is wrong. The Brazil Health & Fitness chart alone (appstore library, 2026-11-06) shows these:

| Product | Where | Launched | Scale (br) | How it differs from Treinou |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Befit: Plano e Treino Academia(3Apps Solutions) | iOS | 2025-01 | 16.7k ratings, #4 Health & Fitness grossing, #107 overall grossing | Same "questionnaire → training plan → subscription" model and already making serious money; Treinou hasn't reached the grossing charts |
| TapFit: Treino e Dieta (indie developer) | iOS | 2026-05 | 1279 ratings, +7 over 206 days, #27 Health & Fitness grossing | Local to Brazil, covers training plus diet, launched about half a year later but already collecting payments |
| ChillFit: Treino em casa(Core AI) | iOS | 2025-10 | 1680 ratings, #40 Health & Fitness grossing | Home workouts only, paid-acquisition driven |
| Gym WP - Treino Academia(Leal Apps) | iOS | 2020 | 24.6k ratings, #16 on Health & Fitness Top Grossing | An established Brazilian workout app |
| Hevy | iOS / Android | 2019 | 25.9k ratings, #24 on Health & Fitness Top Grossing | Workout logging plus community, doesn't sell "custom" plans |
| Treino App: Exercícios em Casa(FITNESS ONLINE) | iOS | 2016 | 101k ratings | Portuguese localization by an overseas studio |
| Leap Health series (Exercícios em Casa and others) | iOS / Android | 2017– | 27k + 12k ratings | Big-company home workout catalogue |
| Fitbod, SmartGym, Gravl, Muscle Booster, MuscleWiki | iOS | 2014–2023 | Hundreds to tens of thousands of ratings each | Overseas AI / algorithmic training plans, already localized into Portuguese |
| Rivlo, Reft, Kampp, FitFolio, MeuTreinador, treino.io | iOS | 2025–2026 | A few to two thousand ratings | All small Brazilian teams with the same idea |
| Smart Fit App, TotalPass, Wellhub, Pacto "Treino" | iOS | big tech | 100k+ ratings | Workout plans bundled free with gym and corporate-benefit memberships |
| ChatGPT / Gemini asked directly for a training plan | Big-company features | — | — | Free, very strong substitute |

Minha Canetinha's competitors are stronger: Monju (MeuGuru, launched 2026-05, 22.9k ratings, #6 Health & Fitness grossing, #150 overall grossing, +7 over 1201 days), OzemPro (18k ratings, #20 Health & Fitness grossing), MeuGLP (2484 ratings), Dosely and others.

### 4. Growth tactics

| Channel | Evidence | Confirmed |
|---|---|---|
| Owned TikTok / Instagram content (main channel) | TikTok @personalinteligenteofc2 has 216k followers, top video 2.23M views; Instagram @treinou.ai about 181k followers; captions consistently say "link na bio" | Yes |
| Instagram paid ads | Reclame Aqui complaint "no Instagram parece ser bom"; the website is a funnel of "fill in questionnaire → sign up → pay"; our metaads library doesn't track this entity, so no creatives found | Partially (indirect evidence) |
| Existing customers moved to the app | treinou.com has only a login page ("Continue com a forma que você se registrou"); @treinou.ai claims "more than 100 thousand people"; Android already has 10k+ downloads | Likely, not fully verified |
| Prompted reviews | 8 reviews are all 5-star one-liners, 4.87 points; 11-06 one day +17 rating, with no outside event that lines up with it | guessing |
| Store search | It sits around #100 on the Top Free chart, a bit of organic exposure; the name Treinou happens to be a common Portuguese word meaning "I trained" | guessing |
| media / big accounts / X | x-radar over the last 60 days: searches for "treinou" and "personal inteligente" each returned 0 posts; no press coverage found | None |

Where the money comes from: on the web, people pay via PIX or card for cheap bundles with auto-renewal, and that is the main revenue today. After the App launched, it switched to monthly subscriptions via Apple and Google; the iOS app hasn't charted on any Top Grossing list, so in-app revenue is still tiny. The "can't cancel" complaints on Reclame Aqui suggest renewals are contributing a lot.

### 5. Why it took off

1. **It has an existing user base** : over a year of social content and web subscriptions built up roughly 100k-level users (self-reported as "mais de 100 mil"), so people downloaded and rated the app as soon as it went live. These users did not come from the store.

2. **The price anchor is sharp** : "A personal trainer costs too much; get a custom plan for under R$10" speaks directly to price-sensitive everyday gym-goers in Brazil. The line has reportedly hit a million views on TikTok.

3. **Own channel plus a native app, converting to subscriptions** : the web funnel had many refunds and cancellation complaints, so they moved users into the app and switched to Apple and Google subscriptions, which hand billing and cancellation to the platform and also pick up some store search traffic.

4. **Outsourced development plus GPT keeps dev costs very low** : one React Native codebase ships to both iOS and Android, with more than 12 releases a month. The same entity launched a GLP-1 logging tool on the same day, riding the Brazilian "canetinha" (GLP-1 pen) trend.

### 6. Differentiation

On features there's nothing special: questionnaire-generated plans, load logging, exercise swaps, progress photos, streaks, water logging. Befit, TapFit and Fitbod all have these. What's actually different is **distribution and pricing** : a Brazilian local entity, backed by owned social accounts at roughly 200k-follower scale, priced as "two orders of magnitude cheaper than a personal trainer." It got traction because of that distribution base, not because the app is especially good. And even so, its iOS volume is far below comparable Brazilian apps (TapFit arrived six months later and already has 1279 ratings and reached #27 on Top Grossing).

### 7. Visibility

Almost nobody knows about it yet: no public revenue figures, no press coverage, 0 discussion on X. Outsiders only see its complaints on Reclame Aqui.

### 8. Copycats

No clone of Treinou specifically turned up. But the category of "AI custom training plan subscriptions" in Brazil is already crowded (Befit, TapFit, Rivlo, Reft, Kampp, MeuTreinador and more), and Treinou is itself one of the followers.

### 9. What to borrow

- Run a web funnel on TikTok / IG with a "cheaper than a personal trainer / nutritionist" pitch first. Once paying users are validated, launch a native app, migrate existing users, and cold-start with ratings already in hand.

- The same entity, the same outsourced codebase, launching tools in quick succession around local buzzwords (training → GLP-1 pen logging).
