Romania's #17 Top Grossing app is an AI betting app that sold 3 raffle tickets: not growth, a shallow chart
What it is A small Romanian company's AI football betting tip subscription app: one daily "ticket" in three risk tiers, plus an AI coach you can ask questions, a betting journal and a budget. It doesn't take bets itself.
Why it's charting It isn't really hot. Romania's sports Top Grossing chart has a near-zero bar: one or two $10–$80 subscriptions are enough to reach #17. The iOS version has only 8 ratings, and the Android version has 50+ downloads.
DHow you could follow it Don't copy the AI prediction app. If you already have a betting community, borrow its product template instead: AI Q&A, three tiers of tickets and public track records, with payment taken on the web and the app acting only as a membership shell.

ChatBET AI is an "AI football betting analysis" subscription app from a small company in Pitești, Romania. In Nov 5 it reached #17 on Romania's App Store sports Top Grossing chart. It looks like it's gaining traction, but it isn't: below #30 on that chart, many apps have only 0 to 2 ratings, and one or two subscriptions are enough to get in. Its own website shows a raffle counter reading "sold 3 / 10,000". The interesting question isn't whether it's hot, but how it puts an AI wrapper on an old business and keeps the money outside Apple.
"4 ticket in a raw"
In Oct 23, a user named Yamin Yamall gave ChatBET a 5-star rating on the Romanian App Store with just one line: "4 ticket in a raw 💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽", meaning he hit 4 winning tickets in a row. In Nov 5, Kevin Voiculescu left one word: "top".
The only written reviews I can see are these three. The earliest one, from Oct 2, is dated the day it launched, signed "Sndhdim", and written in clean English: "Very useful football match analysis App... the AI explanations are clear and easy to understand". A complete English praise review on day one looks like it was written by the team or people close to it (inference, not verified). By Nov 6 the App Store page had 8 ratings, all 5 stars.
In Romania, "bilet" means a combination bet: you pick several matches and the odds multiply. "Biletul Zilei" is "Ticket of the Day", the name local tipsters have used for years for their daily pick. ChatBET sells exactly that.
What it sells
One "ticket of the day" a day in three risk tiers (cautious, balanced, aggressive); an AI coach you can ask questions; plus a betting journal, P&L tracking and a monthly budget. The site's slogan is "We don't sell luck, we sell calculated truth", with buzzwords like "3 brains" and "106 evaluation dimensions", and an "Anti-Blat™" filter for suspected match-fixing. Every page says: we are not a betting company, we take no bets, no guaranteed wins, 18+.
The price ladder is spread wide (chatbet.ro and the App Store in-app purchase page, 11-06):
| Tier | Web price | In-app price | Includes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Free | — | — | 3 questions, one-time, no card binding |
| Question pack | about 2.1 lei each, 10 / 50 / 100 questions | $12.99 for 20 questions | Purchased packs never expire |
| Membership | 41 lei/month (about $9) | $9.99/mo | Daily ticket, coach, P&L, journal; weekly and custom tickets are bought separately per ticket |
| Premium | 367 lei/month (about $80) | $79.99/month, $699.99 per year | Everything, plus one "Mystery Guest FUSION ticket" that is not sold separately |
The web uses Viva Payments for direct payment. Web and app accounts are shared, so what you buy on the web works in the app.
It is run by CHAT BET S.R.L., registered in 2024, with its address in Pitești, Argeș County. The site's terms say the code and model IP belong to an individual named Magadan Andrei Gabriel, and the software was built by a local contractor studio, MGalaxy Software.
Timeline: from Sep 18, "ticket of the day" posts started on Instagram; iOS launched Oct 2; on Oct 30 the 1.0.2 update added English, French, German and Dutch. A Romanian-language note in the same update is telling: "Asian handicap now shows the Romanian bookmakers' terminology". You can tell who the users are.
How it reached #17
On the daily Romanian App Store charts, from Oct 30 to Nov 4, ChatBET only hovered between #96 and #169 in Sports Top Free. On Nov 5 it first appeared in Sports Top Grossing at #17; by Nov 6 it had dropped to #33. It never made the overall chart. Ratings went from 30 on Oct 6 to 4 on Nov 7, then stalled.
Now look at its neighbors on the same day (Romanian Sports Top Grossing, 11-06): the #32 app has only 2 ratings, #37 has 1, and #42, #44, #46, #50 all have 0 ratings.
So the most likely reading of "#17" is that over a day or two, someone bought one $79.99 Premium, or a few $9.99 Memberships (inference). That is not a crowd paying.
Its own numbers fit this read:
- Giveaway: €2 per ticket, sales opened Oct 20, draw on Nov 19, claimed to have 3,900 winning spots, with prizes "worth €195,470 in total". The prizes are all its own subscriptions (50 annual Premium, 3,000 monthly Membership, etc.) plus T-shirts, caps and power banks. The live counter on the page read "sold 6 / 3 / 10,000" as of Nov.
- Android: Google Play shows 50+ downloads.
- Other countries: the UK, US, France, Germany, Netherlands, Italy and Spain App Stores all list it, each with 0 ratings.
Where users come from
Mostly its own Instagram. From mid-September to mid-October, a run of Romanian posts bragging about results: "Won 7 of the last 6 tickets!", "11 matches, 11 greens, total odds 28.07!", "Haven't got ChatBET yet? Today's ticket is green again!". The download link sat in the first comment. Follower counts and views need a login, so I couldn't get them.
One more thing worth noting: under a post on the Romanian football federation's official Facebook page, someone commented "I found ChatBET on Google Play, subscribed to the cautious tier, and the tickets hit almost every day". The wording reads like a paid promotion. I only saw the search snippet, not the original post.
It is not findable on TikTok, X or in the news. The paid giveaway was meant to drive sign-ups, and it sold 3 tickets.
Who it's competing with
This business has been around in Romania for a long time; searching "chatbets biletul zilei" still turns up 2014-year-old Blogspot pages. ChatBET is one of the latest to arrive.
| Product | Scale (Romanian App Store, 11-06) | Compared with alternatives |
|---|---|---|
| Golden Chat App | 109 ratings, Sports Top Grossing consistently #2–7 | A local tipster community that moved into an app: WhatsApp / Telegram groups, member livestreams, and AI too. Same business, with the community at the core. This is the model's template in Romania. |
| LA - Ponturi si Pronosticuri | 140 ratings, Top Grossing #8–39 | An individual tipster selling picks, with no AI packaging |
| Football Bet Tips - Scouter | 166 ratings, Top Grossing #4–10 | A Cypriot company, an internationalized pick-ticket app |
| BetGPT - AI Betting Tips | 41 ratings, bouncing between Top Grossing #11–114 | Also an "AI pick ticket" from a Romanian company, 3 years earlier |
| NerdyTips | iOS #78 ratings | AI predictions by a Romanian developer, 6 free per day, with a public track record |
| GG AI, TipsPro AI, ScoreGPT and others | Most have 0–17 ratings | A large crowd of AI football prediction wrappers, rotating through this chart |
| The combo tickets built into Superbet and Betano | Superbet 145k ratings | Free, and one tap to place the bet directly |
ChatBET's angle is its three risk tiers, plus making "responsible gambling" a feature (journal, budget, mindset coach, "we are not a betting company"). That copy is written for Apple and Google review, and to hold up in an environment where Romania is tightening betting ads. But there is no sign yet that it has won it any extra users.
Three things to take away
- Collect payment on the web, use the app as a shell. For businesses like pick tickets and signal groups, with high ticket prices and users who don't want a purchase record, direct web payment plus shared accounts keeps most revenue outside Apple's cut. The app only provides trust and store visibility. The trade-off is that App Store rank reflects only a fraction of revenue, so outsiders can't read it accurately, and neither can you when you look at others.
- Give a free allowance by question count, and sell question packs that never expire. 3 free questions, then packs for people who won't subscribe.
- Small countries' category grossing charts are shockingly shallow. A few high-priced subscriptions can earn a "Top 20 in Top Grossing" screenshot for promotion. Conversely, when you see someone post that, first check how many ratings the #30 app in the same chart has.
If it were you
One-line verdict: stay away. It's a follower that never took off, in a category in Romania that's already crowded. The ones actually making money are old tipsters like Golden Chat who have already built a community.
Who it suits: people who already have a betting community (Telegram or WhatsApp groups, a tipster account with tens of thousands of followers) and want to turn the group into subscriptions. For them, ChatBET's "AI coach + three tiers + direct web payment" is a ready-made product template.
Who it doesn't suit: people with no community who hope to attract users with "AI predictions" alone. AI predictions are already given away free (NerdyTips), and free in bookmaker apps too. What these users buy was never the model; it's a person they trust and a run of green tickets they can see.
How to do it: people first, app second. Partner with a local tipster who has a track record and followers, and let the app be his membership shell: daily ticket, Q&A, public results, web payment. Publishing a full, public track record is the trust point this category lacks most, and it's what keeps NerdyTips standing among free users.
How to acquire users: posting tickets on Instagram and Telegram is the old playbook in this scene, and ChatBET is following it. But countries are cracking down harder on betting promotion, and planting promo copy under official federation and club posts is risky, with no clear payoff.
When to get in early: there is no window here. This business has existed for decades, and AI hasn't opened a sudden gap in it.
What would show I'm wrong: ① before ChatBET's Nov 19 giveaway draw, the counter climbs into the hundreds or thousands of tickets; ② its iOS ratings reach triple digits within a month or two, or it charts in a country outside Romania; ③ it holds a steady place in the Romanian Sports Top Grossing top 10, alongside Golden Chat. Any one of these would mean the "AI wrapper + compliance story" really can pull people away from the old tipsters, and it would be worth looking at again.

ChatBET AI (iOS 6815690317) research report
In a nutshell: ChatBET is an "AI football betting analysis" subscription app from CHAT BET S.R.L., a small company in Pitești, Romania. Every day it gives a "Biletul Zilei" (ticket of the day) in cautious, balanced, and aggressive tiers, plus an AI coach you can ask questions, a betting diary, and a monthly budget tool. It has not actually broken out. The "#33 in Romania Sports Top Grossing" on the card is there because that chart has a very low bar: one or two $10–$80 subscriptions is enough to land on it. Its own public numbers point to very few users: the raffle sold only 3 of 10,000 tickets, the Android app has 50+ downloads, the iOS app has 8 ratings, and some of those look like insider accounts. What's worth studying is the play: take the old Romanian "sell tickets as a tipster" model, put an AI wrapper on it, and use compliance language to present it as an analysis tool.
1. How to read the data card (correcting first)
- Rankings: the only country in the database with records for it is Romania (appstore.app_day, 2026-10-30 to 11-06). For the first 5 days it sat at #96–#169 on the Sports Top Free chart. 11-05 it first reached #17 on the Sports Top Grossing chart; 11-06 it dropped to #33. It never reached the overall chart.
- Ratings: 10-30 had 6, rose to 11-04 7, then stayed flat. Apple's Romanian page 11-06 shows 8 ratings, all 5 stars (apps.apple.com/ro/app/id6815690317). No ratings can be found in other countries: lookup finds this app in us/gb/fr/de/nl/it/es, but the rating counts there are all 0.
- How low the bar is (appstore.v_chart, ro / grossing / Sports, 2026-11-06): #32 Deep Tools has only 2 ratings; #37 GG AI Football Predictions has 1; the apps at #42, #44, #46, and #50 each have 0 ratings. So "#33" mostly means one or two Membership ($9.99) or Premium ($79.99) purchases landed on those days. It doesn't show a paying audience.
- Its own public numbers (chatbet.ro/tombola, scraped 2026-11-06): tickets cost €2 / 10 lei, the draw starts 10-20 and ends 11-19, and the live counter reads "3 / 10.000 sold". The Google Play version com.chatbet.app shows 50+ downloads and was last updated 11-03 (play.google.com).
- 评论:8 个评分里能看到 3 条有文字的。一条是 10-02,正好是上架当天,用英文写的标准好评,作者叫 "Sndhdim"。一条是 10-23 的 "4 ticket in a raw 💪"。还有一条是 11-05 "Kevin Voiculescu" 写的,只有一个词 "top"。上架当天就出现英文长好评,很像团队自己或身边人写的。这一点没有核实,算推断。
2. What the product is
- Company: CHAT BET S.R.L., CUI 50643800, registration J2024027703001 (registered 2024), based in Pitești, Argeș County. The website's terms say the code and models are owned by the individual Magadan Andrei Gabriel, who licenses them to the company. The software was built by a local outsourcing studio, MGalaxy Software (mgalaxy-dev.ro), which does websites, CRM, and apps for clients in Romania and Greece (chatbet.ro/legal/termeni).
- Timeline: the earliest Instagram post I can find is "Biletul Zilei – 18 septembrie 2026", which suggests the web version or PWA launched first and was promoted on IG. The iOS version launched 10-02, 1.0.1 10-19,1.0.2 10-30. 1.0.2 added English, French, German, and Dutch. The Romanian update notes mention "Asian handicap now shows the names Romanian bookmakers use," which shows the target is Romanian bettors.
- What it sells (chatbet.ro/abonamente; App Store in-app prices from the recall card):
- 3 free questions, one-time only, no card needed. After that you buy question packs: small 10 questions, large 50 questions, Maxi 100 questions (about 2.10 lei each). Packs don't expire. The app also sells a $12.99 pack of 20 questions.
- Membership 41 lei/month (in-app $9.99/month): the daily Biletul Zilei, plus Coach, P&L, and the diary. "Weekly" and "custom" tickets are sold separately, per ticket.
- Premium 367 lei/month (in-app $79.99/month, $699.99 for 12 months): includes everything, plus a "mystery guest FUSION" ticket that isn't sold on its own.
- Raffle: €2 per ticket, 3,900 winning spots, prizes "worth €195,470" in total. The prizes are mostly its own subscriptions (50 Premium 12-month plans, 3,000 Membership 1-month plans, and so on) plus merch.
- The website takes payments directly through Viva Payments. Web and app accounts sync, so anything bought on the web works in the app, which avoids Apple's commission.
- Packaging: pitched as "3 brains" (goal models, strength indexes, comparing markets to find value), with "106 evaluation dimensions". Also "Anti-Blat™" to filter out suspected fixed matches, and "Coach PNL" for mindset and betting discipline. The slogan is "Nu vindem noroc. Vindem adevărul calculat" (we don't sell luck, we sell calculated truth). Every page says "We are not a betting company, we don't take bets, we don't guarantee wins, 18+".
3. Competitors
| Competitors | Where | Launched | Scale (appstore database, ro, 2026-11-06) | How it differs from ChatBET |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Golden Chat App(sc golden tips srl) | iOS/Android/web goldentips.ro | 2023-12 | 109 ratings; Sports Top Grossing has held at #10-28 to #11-06, mostly #2–#7 | A local Romanian tipster community moved onto an app: Telegram/WhatsApp groups, Founders Club live streams, Golden AI, bankroll management. Sign-ups go through one-on-one WhatsApp, with a 50% Black Friday discount. It's the same business as ChatBET, but built around "community" where ChatBET is built around "AI". It's the template for this model in Romania. |
| LA - Ponturi si Pronosticuri(Andrei Florin Gadau) | iOS | 2022-04 | 140 ratings; Top Grossing #8–#39 | Individual tipsters selling recommended tickets, with no AI wrapper |
| Football Bet Tips - Scouter (Artlines, Cyprus) | iOS | 2023-04 | 166 ratings, 7-day +17; Top Grossing #4–#10 | An international tip-ticket app, not built in Romania |
| BetGPT - AI Betting Tips (Micom Tech SRL, Romanian company) | iOS | 2023-10 | 41 ratings; Top Grossing swings widely between #11 and #114 | Also "AI + tickets" from a Romanian SRL, launched 3 years before ChatBET, without the localized ticket culture or compliance packaging |
| NerdyTips (developer Daniel-Andrei Ionescu, Romanian) | Web nerdytips.com + iOS | 2022-12 | iOS #78 ratings | AI predictions with up to 6 free tips a day, covering 700+ leagues, and public track records. It makes for free the part ChatBET charges for |
| Score AI - Live Match Analysis(Motimoon) | iOS | 2026-09-25 | 4 ratings; Top Grossing #14–#68 | Generic AI match analysis that launched around the same time as ChatBET, with an equally low bar, and it also charts |
| GG AI Football Predictions, TipsPro AI, 180Score, BetPredict AI, ScoreGPT, Football Pilot, and more | iOS | 2024–2026 | Most have 0–17 ratings | A big crowd of "AI football prediction" wrappers taking turns on Romania's Sports Top Grossing around #37–#130 |
| ChatBet(chatbet.co / chatbet.gg) | B2B | About 2025 | LinkedIn 774 followers | Same name, but it's a tool for placing bets via WhatsApp/Telegram with bookmakers, unrelated to ChatBET. There's also an iOS app with the same name (id6498314611) and an Android app com.solverexcel.solver_excel, neither related |
| Features built into bookmaker apps (Superbet and Betano's Bet Builder, hot picks) | Big-company features | — | Superbet 145k ratings | Free parlay suggestions you can bet on directly in the app |
Bottom line: this category is crowded in Romania, and "selling tickets as a tipster" is a business that's been around for decades (you can still find a 2014-year-old Blogspot called "chatbets: biletul zilei"). ChatBET is one of the latest entrants in this group.
4. Where users come from
| Channel | Evidence | Confirmed? |
|---|---|---|
| Organic Instagram content (posting winning tickets) | Search results include a run of Romanian posts: "6 DIN ULTIMELE 7 BILETE AU FOST CÂȘTIGĂTOARE", "11 MECIURI. 11 SELECȚII VERZI. COTĂ TOTALĂ 28.07", and "TU ÎNCĂ NU AI INSTALAT APLICAȚIA ChatBET?", dated from 2026-09-18 through mid-October. They push people to download from the App Store / Google Play, with the link in the first comment. The posts themselves (instagram.com/p/DfO57HkxN1R and others) need a login to view. View and follower counts are unavailable. | Yes (there is content); scale unknown |
| Comments left under big Facebook posts (suspected sock puppets) | Under a post on the Romanian football federation's (FRF) official Facebook page about "black cards," a search snippet showed a comment: "I found the app ChatBET (CHAT BET S.R.L.) on Google Play, subscribed to the cautious tier, and the tickets hit almost every day..." This reads like a paid promotion. The original post body wasn't captured. | Partly confirmed (search snippet only) |
| Paid lottery for user acquisition | Each ticket costs 2 €; the prize is its own subscription plus merch, with a live count of 3 / 10,000 | Confirmed, but almost no effect |
| Free quota + web checkout | 3 free questions with no card on file; the web checkout uses Viva and works across the app | Confirmed |
| Store search / ASO | On the App Store as "ChatBET AI," Sports category, 17+; ranked #96–169 on the Romania Sports Top Free chart | Confirmed it charts, but it brings in very little |
| TikTok / X / media | TikHub searches for "chatbet," "chatbet ai," and "biletul zilei ai" returned nothing about it. x-radar search for chatbet.ro (60 days): 0 results. No news coverage. | None |
| Paid ads | Our Meta/TikTok ad libraries don't track it; its Instagram posts don't rule out paid promotion. | Not verified |
5. Why it got recalled / why it "looks" like it's breaking out
- A chart illusion from the entry bar: on Romania's Sports Top Grossing chart, the apps around #30 have only 0–2 ratings. Their $79.99/month Premium, or a few $9.99 Membership purchases, is all it takes to break into the top 20. 11-05 at #17 and 11-06 at #33 are what that looks like after one or a few sales.
- High ticket price: prices run from 41 lei up to 367 lei a month. Romanian betting players already pay for "tips" (Golden Chat and LA Ponturi, monthly subscriptions, stay in the top 10 over the long run), so a few people will pay a premium.
- Most money is likely collected on the web: the web checkout uses Viva and works across the app, so much of the real revenue probably never passes through Apple. The App Store ranking only shows a fraction. This is inference, not data.
6. Differentiation
- It claims four points of difference:
- AI explanations instead of human tipsters: "3 brains," "106 dimensions," plus an AI coach you can question.
- Three risk tiers: the same day's tickets come in cautious, balanced, and aggressive versions.
- "Responsible gambling" as a product feature: a journal, P&L, monthly budget, and a mindset coach, plus messaging that says "we are not a betting company." This is for App Store and Google Play review, and it holds up as Romania tightens gambling ad rules.
- Gimmicks: mystery-guest FUSION tickets, Anti-Blat fixed-match filtering, paid giveaways.
- Is that why it took off? No, because it never really took off. Golden Chat (AI, community, bankroll management), BetGPT (AI tip recommendations), and NerdyTips (free AI picks with public track records) each already offered part of this. The only thing it uniquely has is the "compliance narrative + three risk tiers," and there is no evidence that this brought in users.
7. What to borrow
- In a high-ARPU, anonymity-friendly niche (tip recommendations, signal groups), the combination of web checkout + app as a shell + cross-account login can keep most revenue outside Apple's system, with the app serving only to build trust and store visibility.
- The free quota is given per question rather than per day, and then non-expiring question packs are sold to people who don't want a subscription.
- Category Top Grossing charts in small countries have very low thresholds. A new app with a few high-priced subscriptions can earn a "Top 20 Grossing" badge, which can be used as social proof in marketing.
- Be wary in reverse: this category (tip recommendations plus AI packaging) is crowded, carries high refund and complaint risk, and faces tightening regulation. The high rank at recall mostly reflects the chart threshold, not demand.
8. Uncertain
- Instagram follower counts and per-post views weren't retrieved (login required); whether it runs paid promotion is unknown.
- There is no public data on how many paying users the web side has or how much it has collected. The giveaway count of 3/10,000 only shows that this one feature isn't selling.
- It's impossible to tell whether the English, French, German, and Dutch localizations are a real push abroad or just for app review: those countries currently have no ratings and no chart presence.
- Whether those positive reviews were written by insiders hasn't been verified.
