Salmon Credit - Mabilis Cash · SUPER NICE LENDING AND TRADING VENTURES INC.

# A Philippine cash-loan app borrowed a big brand's name and charted #7 in Business within 9 days of launch. Understand the playbook, don't copy it.

**What it is** A phone lending app available only in the Philippines, borrowing up to ₱88,000 for 180 days. Its name borrows the product name of licensed fintech Salmon.

**Why it took off** A Chinese going-global team mass-produced packages from one template, bought downloads, and placed them in the low-barrier Business category to climb the charts. It named the app after Salmon's recent funding news, and it prompted ratings with a five-star nudge while users waited for approval. It also rode the July reopening of online lending platform registration in the Philippines.

**D** **What you can take from it** Don't copy the product itself. Learn only two compliant moves: chart in a niche category in a small country, and ask for ratings at the moment users have just received value.

Grade D: the traction came from lending licenses, borrowed brand names, and rating prompts that Apple prohibits. Followers either can't get these or shouldn't try. The name has already been flagged by the SEC in March, so takedown risk is real. Only the chart tactics are worth studying. Few people know about it yet

"Salmon Credit - Mabilis Cash" launched on the Philippine App Store in Oct 28. By Nov 6 it had collected 800 ratings averaging 4.76 and reached #7 in the free Business chart. The product is just an ordinary cash loan. It took off through paid acquisition, hiding in the Business category, borrowing the product name of Salmon, which had just raised $140M, and a well-timed rating prompt. Behind it are four packages from the same template, all launched at once. Independent developers can't access these tactics, and some shouldn't.

### "I have a loan due soon"

In Nov 3, a Philippine user gave it 5 stars and wrote: "Hope I still have a chance, because another loan of mine is about to be due." Another that same day: "Hope it gets approved quickly, I really need this money." Scrolling back, a review titled "hoping for approval" says "I'll change it once approved." In Nov 4, one review was even more direct: "pls accept."

Of the 14 reviews visible on the App Store, 13 are 5-star and 1 are 4-star. None say anything about how good the product is. These users had just submitted applications and were still waiting for approval, and that's when the rating prompt appeared. When someone is waiting for approval, of course they give five stars.

### What it is

A phone lending app available only in the Philippines. The store page lists a maximum loan of ₱88,000 (about $1,500 USD), a term of 180 days, an APR of 18%, no collateral, and a fully online process. The developer is SUPER NICE LENDING AND TRADING VENTURES, a small lender registered 2015 years ago in Bulacan province, with this app as its only product.

These figures follow Apple's rules as written. Apple requires personal loan apps to disclose the APR, cap it at 36%, and set a repayment period of at least 60 days. The terms and fees users actually get can't be seen from outside (unverified).

The name is the key. "Salmon Credit" is the flagship product name of Salmon, a licensed Philippine fintech. Salmon announced a $140M funding round in Oct 20 (fintech.global), and creators on TikTok posted "Salmon Credit" videos drawing tens of thousands to hundreds of thousands of views. Salmon's own iOS app is simply called "Salmon" and has 57K ratings in the PH store. This package has no connection to Salmon at all. The second half, "Mabilis," means "fast" in Tagalog.

### How it took off

| Date | What happened |
|---|---|
| 10-28 | Launched, version 1.0.0 |
| 10-30 | Rating still 0; already ranked #15 in PH free Business |
| 10-31 | First day with ratings, +60 |
| 11-03 | +165 that day |
| 11-05 | #6 in free Business, #160 in overall free chart |
| 11-06 | +213 that day, 776 total (819 live on the App Store), #7 in Business, #175 overall chart |

It charted while its rating was still 0, which means downloads pushed the ranking up and ratings rose only after people came in. Its website source code reveals where the downloads came from: the page language is `zh-CN`, and it embeds Alibaba UC's ad conversion tracker "Huichuan" and GrowingIO, a common Chinese analytics tool. This points to a Chinese going-global team buying ads (which platforms and how much was spent is unverified).

Three other factors worked together:

**Hide in the Business category.** The Philippines' Finance chart is packed with GCash, Maya, Home Credit and dozens of cash loan apps, so a new one barely shows up. The top of the Business chart is Zoom, Teams, Indeed and courier apps, and a couple hundred daily downloads is enough to get in. Since July, Philippine-listed apps with lending or credit in the company name charted in Business at 10 of 4 , and none charted in Finance at 3 of them. They may also have sidestepped Apple's stricter review of Finance-category lending apps (inferred).

**Borrowed name.** Filipinos searching the store for "Salmon credit" are looking for the company in the news. Where it ranks in search results wasn't measured (Apple's search API is rate-limited).

**Rating prompt placed before approval.** The reviews above are the result. All four same-template apps have average ratings stuck between 4.74 and 4.78, which makes the store page look reliable.

The timing also fit. The Philippine Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), which regulates lenders, froze new online lending platform registrations starting in 2021, and reopened them in July 2026 (Inquirer 07-08). Each licensed lender may register at most 5 platforms. Small companies holding a license suddenly became shells that could be attached to. In October, packages of this type launched in a rush.

### It's not one app, it's a batch

Its website and the websites of three other lending apps that took off in the same period have identical homepage code once build numbers are stripped out. All run on overseas Alibaba Cloud servers, and only the company name, email, and address differ. The config files still contain fields from India's lending industry (CIN, NBFC), suggesting the template was moved over from Indian cash loans.

| App | Registered company | Launched | Rating (11-06) | Free Business chart |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Mr. Cash | TOP SUNRISER CREDIT | 10-22 | 2,572 | #3 |
| Salmon Credit | SUPER NICE LENDING | 10-28 | 776 | #7 |
| Sunny Cash | SUNNY CLAIRE CREDIT AND LENDING | 10-28 | 775 | #9 |
| Cashguard | SEVEN COLORS LENDING | 10-08 | 2,953 | #10 |

Salmon Credit and Sunny Cash went live the same day and started getting ratings on the same day, 11-06 with one 776 review and one 775 review, averaging 4.764 and 4.763. Likely the same ad account, with one budget split across two packages (inferred). Each package is tied to a different licensed lender, so if one gets shut down, the other keeps running. The config also has a field naming another lending company, which looks like the party actually funding the loans, or it could just be leftover template text (unverified).

### Where the money comes from

Cash loans make money from interest, service fees, and late-payment penalties. Acquisition spend is recovered through loan repayments, not in-app purchases, so these apps don't appear on the grossing charts. Real interest rates, default rates, and collection practices can't be seen from outside.

### Who it's competing with

| Competitors | Scale | Compared with alternatives |
|---|---|---|
| GCash GLoan, Maya Loans | The Philippines' two largest e-wallets | Borrowing entry sits right inside the wallet, with almost no acquisition cost |
| Salmon | iOS PH 57k ratings; Google Play 6.93M installs | Legit, with credit lines and in-store installment plans; the party whose name was borrowed |
| Home Credit, Atome, Tala, Digido, JuanHand, etc. | PH iOS 20k to 340k ratings | Veteran cash loan, with brand and an existing user base |
| Three sibling packages on the same template | See table above | Same crew, not really competition |

The Philippine cash loan space is a red ocean. This app has nothing product-wise that sets it apart: credit limits, terms, and flow are all industry standard. Its difference lies entirely in how it gets people in the door.

### This name has already been targeted

On Mar 2026 2, the SEC issued a notice titled 'unauthorized use of the Salmon Credit name,' naming 'SALMON CREDIT / SALMON CREDIT CASH LOAN APP' and 'MABILIS CREDIT' as unregistered lending platforms (BusinessWorld 03-04). Whether that package and this one come from the same people is unverified. This one now sits under a registered company name, which looks more like re-running the same play behind a compliance shell (inference). The funder named in its config is one June publicly flagged as having its name misused by someone on Google Play for lending (Inquirer 06-06).

Apart from auto-indexed chart sites, almost no one online mentions this package. Zero mentions on X; a TikTok search turns up only the legitimate Salmon.

### If it were you

**One-line verdict** : Don't follow it. It got where it is through a lending license, a borrowed brand name, and gray-area rating tactics. Indie devs either can't get the first two or shouldn't touch them, and takedown risk is right in front of you.

**Who it fits** : Teams already doing licensed lending or financial acquisition in Southeast Asia, who can treat it as a ready-made case study for pushing an obscure category.

**Who it doesn't fit** : Anyone without a lending license and funding (every Philippine online lender needs ₱10M in capital); anyone building a long-term brand; anyone who doesn't want to deal with regulators and infringement complaints.

**How to do it** : Don't copy the product. Just learn two things you can use legitimately. First, pick obscure categories in small countries: the bar to reach the top 10 in Business or Utilities is often a fraction of Finance or Games, which can give a new app a visible rank. Second, ask for ratings at the moment users have just gotten value, like after finishing a task or a successful file export, not when they need something from you and are waiting for your approval. The latter is exactly the kind of incentivized prompting Apple prohibits.

**How to acquire users** : If you really want to test pushing an obscure category, a small paid-acquisition budget plus careful category choice is enough. First, spend a few hundred dollars in one small country to find out how many downloads it takes to reach the top 10, then decide whether to scale.

**Is there a rush?** : No. Its window depends on the SEC's July reopening of registrations and the buzz around Salmon's funding. Both will fade.

**Signs you read this wrong** : (1) This package is still charting two or three months from now, with no SEC or Apple takedown, which would mean licensing-cover and category-dodging is more durable in the Philippines than it looks, and licensed teams should take a serious look; (2) the SEC or Apple moves first and all four packages come down together, which would confirm the window is only a few weeks; (3) copycats keep appearing under new names and new entities, which would mean this is a mature batch business, not a one-off speculative play.

Competitors

| Name | Where | Launched | Scale | How it differs from this one |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Salmon(Salmon Group / Salmon Finance) | iOS | 2023-03 | iOS PH 57,010 ratings, Top Free #70; Play 6.93M installs; 2026-10 raised $140M | The real licensed brand and credit-line product. This app only borrowed its name and has no relationship to it. |
| Mr. Cash | iOS | 2026-10-22 | 2,572 ratings, 7 days +1,836, Business #3, overall #76 | A sibling package on the same template, listed 6 days earlier, with bigger volume |
| Sunny Cash | iOS | 2026-10-28 | 775 ratings, Business #9 | Same template, listed the same day, nearly identical curves; the funder in its config is Fidoph |
| Cashguard | iOS | 2026-10-08 | 2,953 ratings, 7 days +913, Business #10 | Same template, advertising 210 days and 10.95% APR |
| Home Credit / Atome / Mega Peso / Pesos.ph / Happycash / Fidoph, etc. | iOS | 2021-2025 | PH 20k to 340k ratings | Established or large-scale cash loans, placed in the Finance category with an existing brand base. This app is in Business to avoid the crowded Finance chart. |
| GCash GLoan / Maya Loans | Big-company features | Already live | Mainstream Philippine wallets | Wallets have lending built in, with almost zero acquisition cost. This app can only rely on paid acquisition. |

Where users come from

- **Verified** **paid acquisition (UC Huichuan / feed ads)** : the landing page carries UC Huichuan conversion tracking (huichuan.sm.cn/lp) and GrowingIO; at 10-30 rating vs 0, it had already reached #15 in Business; four lookalike apps scaling in sync

- **Verified** **Name piggybacking / keyword capture** : The name 'Salmon Credit - Mabilis Cash' = Salmon's flagship product name + 'Mabilis Credit', which the SEC named in its Advisory 05-2026. The real Salmon iOS app is simply called 'Salmon'.

- **Verified** **Category choice: putting it in Business to push the charts** : Of the PH lending-company apps listed since 2026-07, 4 Business-category apps all surged and all reached the top 10 in Business. 3 Finance-category apps none took off (appstore library).

- **Verified** **Rating prompt before approval to get good reviews** : The 15 public reviews are all 4–5 stars, many saying things like 'hoping for approval / will change if approved.' The four personas average 4.74–4.78 stars.

- **Verified** **Persona matrix + borrowed license** : 4 official homepages have identical HTML (zh-CN, Alibaba Cloud IP), and only the company name changes in app_config.js. The fields include CIN/NBFC (an Indian template) and DFcomName (funder / payment processor: Supreme Money, Fidoph, Fast Coin).

- **Verified** **Platform event: SEC reopens online lending platform registration** : SEC MC No.20 s.2026 (Inquirer 2026-07-08) lifts the new OLP registration freeze in place since 2021; each company can run up to 5 platforms; a wave of October listings is coming

## Salmon Credit - Mabilis Cash (iOS 6821780941) research report

> In one line: a Philippine iOS cash loan 'persona package.' Its name piggybacks on Salmon Credit, a licensed fintech that just raised $140M, its license is borrowed from a small lending company in Bulacan province, and it runs on a template from a Chinese team, with several copies listed at the same time. It got where it is through distribution tactics (paid acquisition + placement in Business + name piggybacking + rating prompts before loan approval), plus a regulatory timing window (the Philippine SEC reopened online lending platform registration in July of 2026). The product itself has no differentiation.

### 2. What it actually is: a batch of persona apps on one template

#### 2.1 websites share the same Chinese-language template

Developer website supernicelendingandtrading.com, compared against the official sites of three other Business-category lending apps from the same period:

| App | Company | Website | IP | Homepage HTML |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Salmon Credit | SUPER NICE LENDING AND TRADING VENTURES INC. | supernicelendingandtrading.com | 47.237.172.194 | 3079 bytes |
| Sunny Cash | SUNNY CLAIRE CREDIT AND LENDING CORPORATION | sunnyclairecredit-and-lending.com | 43.98.80.150 | 3079 bytes |
| Mr. Cash (called Top Cash in the config) | TOP SUNRISER CREDIT CORPORATION | top-sunriser-credit.com | 8.212.148.52 | 3079 bytes |
| Cashguard | SEVEN COLORS LENDING CORP. | seven-colors-lending.com | 43.98.82.115 | 3079 bytes |

- After stripping the build hashes, the homepages' md5 **are identical** (a53a4693…). All use `<html lang="zh-CN">`, the stack is React + MobX, and all four IPs sit in Alibaba Cloud overseas ranges (we fetched and compared them ourselves, 2026-11-06).

- Two tracking scripts are embedded: **UC Huichuan** (`image.uc.cn/s/uae/g/0s/ad/utracking.js`, `trackurl: huichuan.sm.cn/lp`, Alibaba UC's ad conversion tracking) and **GrowingIO** (`_vds.push(["setAccountId",...])`). Both are common tools for Chinese going-global teams.

- Each site has an `app_config.js` where only the company name, email and address change. The field names include `CIN`, `NBFC` (an Indian lending term, suggesting this template was carried over from Indian cash-loan operations) and `DFcomName`:
    - Salmon Credit: CIN = CS201516039 (the SEC registration number of Super Nice), **DFcomName = Supreme Money Lending Corp.** (Makati)
    - Sunny Cash: DFcomName = Fidoph Lending Corporation (the existing PH lending app Fidoph, iOS rating 24.5k)
    - Mr. Cash, Cashguard: DFcomName = Fast Coin Lending Corp.
    - What DF means hasn't been verified. Our guess is "on-behalf-of payer" or the party actually funding the loans. If so, the licensed company is just a front, and the money and risk control belong to another firm.

- The customer-service email prefixes look arbitrary: west@, bibilabu@, pipe@, business@.

#### The 2.2 descriptions use the same App Store compliance boilerplate

All four state a 91–210 day term and 10.95%–18.25% APR, and some include a "sample interest calculation." Apple's review guidelines require personal-loan apps to disclose APR, cap APR at 36%, and not require repayment within 60 days. These paragraphs are written to match those rules and pass review. The terms and fees users actually get have not been verified.

#### 2.3 all sit in the Business category

From the appstore database, after 2026-07, PH-listed apps with lending / credit / financing in the developer name: **4 in Business, and 4 of them are fast-climbing apps with over 300 ratings a week** (Mr. Cash, Cashguard, Salmon Credit, Sunny Cash, all from this template); 3 in Finance, none of which took off.

PH Business Top Free #11-06:1 Zoom, 2 Teams, **3 Mr. Cash** , 5 Indeed, 6 J&T, **7 Salmon Credit** , 8 Jobstreet, **9 Sunny Cash** , **10 Cashguard** , 12 PRIMA LOAN (another loan app, also filed under Business). The bar to chart in the top 10 of Business is very low: a hundred or two downloads a day gets you in. Finance is packed with GCash, Maya, Home Credit, Atome and dozens of cash-loan apps. Filing under Business buys a visible category rank for very little volume, and may also sidestep Apple's stricter review for Finance-category loan apps. The latter is a guess.

#### 2.4 Salmon Credit and Sunny Cash are nearly twins

Both were listed the same day (10-28), started collecting ratings the same day (10-31), 11-06 got 776 ratings and the other 775, with averages of 4.764 and 4.763. Curves this similar most likely mean the same ad account and the same budget split across two apps (appstore database).

### 3. Growth tactics broken down

| Channel | Evidence | Confirmed? |
|---|---|---|
| Paid acquisition (ad platforms such as UC Huichuan) | The official landing page embeds UC Huichuan conversion tracking and GrowingIO; when 10-30 had 0 ratings it was already ranked #15 in Business, and four shell apps scaled up together | Tracking confirmed. Which platforms it ran on and how much was spent is unverified (the Meta and TikTok ad libraries only track listed products, so no result there doesn't mean no spend) |
| Name piggybacking / keyword hijacking | The app name "Salmon Credit - Mabilis Cash" = the flagship product name "Salmon Credit" from licensed fintech Salmon + "Mabilis Credit," which the SEC has named. The real Salmon has been running heavy TikTok creator campaigns for "Salmon Credit" (@salmonphilippines and creator videos with view counts ranging from 70k to 20 million, per TikHub). 2026-10-20 just announced a $140M fundraise (fintech.global, Yahoo Finance), so buzz is at a high. The real Salmon iOS app is called "Salmon" (57k ratings, #70 on the PH Top Free chart). | Naming confirmed. Search ranking for "salmon credit" in the store was not tested (the iTunes search API is rate-limited). |
| Category choice (Business) | See 2.3 | Confirmed |
| Prompted reviews | The 15 public reviews are all 4–5 stars, and almost all say things like "hoping for approval", "will change if approved", "pls accept". That suggests the rating prompt appears after the application is submitted and before the review result. The averages of all four shells are stuck at 4.74–4.78. | Confirmed (iTunes RSS) |
| Shell app matrix | The same template is in at least 4 apps, tied to 4 different SEC-registered lending companies. The config also contains a second layer of funder / on-behalf-of payer. | Confirmed |
| Timing: the SEC reopened online lending platform registration | SEC MC No. 20 s.2026 (Inquirer, 2026-07-08) lifted the registration freeze on new online lending platforms (OLPs) that had been in place for nearly 5 years since 2021. Each lending company can run up to 5 platforms; 1 platforms require ₱10M in capital, and every platform name must be reported to the SEC. In October, a wave of new packages launched: Cashguard 10-08, Mr. Cash 10-22, Salmon / Sunny 10-28, Kalinaw Cash 11-02. | Policy confirmed. Whether this app was reported to the SEC as an OLP has not been verified. |

**Where the money comes back** : cash loans earn from interest, service fees and late-payment penalties. Acquisition cost is recouped from loan repayments, not in-app purchases, which is why it doesn't show up on the grossing charts. The rates shown in the official site and the app are the compliant versions; actual rates are unverified.

### 4. Competitors

| Competitors | Platform | Launched | Scale | How it differs |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Salmon(Salmon Group / Salmon Finance, salmon.ph) | iOS / Android | 2023-03 | iOS PH 57,010 ratings, Top Free #70; Play 6.93M installs; 2026-10 raised $140M | The real licensed brand offers credit lines and in-store installment plans. This app borrows its name and has no relation to it. |
| Mr. Cash(TOP SUNRISER CREDIT) | iOS | 2026-10-22 | 2,572 ratings, 7 days +1,836; #3 in Business, #76 overall | Same template, launched 6 days earlier, with more volume |
| Sunny Cash(SUNNY CLAIRE CREDIT AND LENDING) | iOS | 2026-10-28 | 775 ratings; #9 in Business | Same template, listed the same day, nearly identical curve; funder Fidoph |
| Cashguard(SEVEN COLORS LENDING) | iOS | 2026-10-08 | 2,953 ratings, 7 days +913; #10 in Business | Same template, but it states 210 days and 10.95% |
| PRIMA LOAN(DOU-SYSTEM TECHNOLOGY) | iOS | 2026-04-20 | 14,911 ratings; #12 in Business | Also a cash loan filed under Business, but not this template (unverified) |
| Home Credit / Atome / Mega Peso / Pesos.ph / Happycash / XLKash / Fidoph | iOS / Android | 2021–2025 | 20k to 340k ratings (appstore database, PH) | Established or large-scale cash loans filed under Finance, with brand recognition |
| GCash GLoan / Maya Loans / Tala / Digido / JuanHand | Big-company feature / iOS / Android | Already live | Mainstream in the Philippines | Borrowing built into the wallet, with near-zero acquisition cost |

Takeaway: cash loans in the Philippines are an extremely crowded red ocean. This product has nothing different in itself (the limits, terms and flows are industry standard), and all of its "differentiation" lives in distribution.

### 5. How many people have seen it

- The app itself: **few people know about it yet** . Online it only shows up on auto-indexed listing pages like appfigures, ipafilezone, softonic and cnet. X (x-radar, last 30 days) has zero mentions; a TikTok search returns only the real Salmon's content.

- But the name "Salmon Credit" has already drawn regulatory attention: SEC 2026-03-02 issued Advisory 05-2026 naming "SALMON CREDIT / SALMON CREDIT CASH LOAN APP" and "MABILIS CREDIT" as unregistered online lending platforms (BusinessWorld 2026-03-04; the original is on Scribd). Whether that was an earlier, different app or the same group hasn't been verified. This app now sits under a registered company, which suggests the same operation came back with a compliant shell.

- The funder listed in its setup, Supreme Money Lending Corp., 2026-06 was just the subject of an SEC notice: someone used its name to put up a "Supreme Money-Cash Loans App" on Google Play, and the company says it had nothing to do with it (Inquirer 2026-06-06).

### 6. Why it charted

1. **Paid acquisition pushed the chart** : when it had 0 ratings it was already #15 in Business, and the landing page carries UC Huichuan conversion tracking. Paid downloads are most likely driving the ranking (appstore database; official site source).

2. **Filed under Business** : the bar to the top 10 there is low. All four identical apps made the Business top 10, while new lending apps in Finance over the same period never took off (appstore database).

3. **Name piggybacking** : it timed the hijack to Salmon's $140M raise and its big TikTok push for "Salmon Credit".

4. **Prompting ratings before review** : users who want approval give five stars, so the average holds at 4.76 and the store page looks credible (iTunes RSS).

5. **Timing and licenses** : the SEC reopened OLP registration in July, and small licensed lenders on hand (Super Nice registered 2015 years ago and got its license 2017 years later; SEC 2020 list) became shells that could be attached to. One template with N licenses means apps can be launched in bulk.

### 7. What to borrow

- Chart-climbing is cost-effective in small countries and niche categories: the bar for the top 10 in categories like Business and Utilities is often a fraction of what it takes in Finance or Games.

- A rating prompt shown at the moment the user is "waiting for your approval" can push the positive rate above 4.7. This is a gray tactic, and Apple explicitly bans trading rewards for ratings.

- One template, many shell apps, each tied to a different entity. This spreads the risk of bans and regulatory action and lets the budget be split across several apps.

- Using the name of a product a big brand is currently advertising as a keyword to hijack traffic. This carries major legal and platform-rule risk and is not recommended for copying.

### 8. Uncertain

- Whether the DFcomName entries (Supreme Money / Fidoph / Fast Coin) are real funders or on-behalf-of payers, or leftover residue in the template that was never removed.

- Whether "Salmon Credit" was reported to the SEC as Super Nice's OLP.

- Where the ads ran (UC, Meta, TikTok, Google), how much was spent, the user acquisition cost and the bad-debt rate.

- The actual terms, rates and collection practices inside the app.

- Where it ranks when searching "salmon credit" or "salmon" in the App Store (the Apple search API is rate-limited, not tested).

- Who's behind it? (The Chinese team just pulled templates from zh-CN, UC 汇川 and GrowingIO.)

- Risk of SEC or Apple takedown: the SEC issued a warning about this name in March, and the real Salmon could also file an infringement complaint.
