Mylolens: AI Dance Video Maker · Pixel Dream Works

# Swap in your selfie and dance Bollywood-style: Mylolens hit 180k installs in a month. It's an app factory reskinning the same theme and running paid ads again

**What it is** An AI video app: upload a photo, pick a template, and the person in it dances a trending dance, a baby dance, a couples duet or a rap performance. You pay before you can generate.

**Why it took off** It runs on paid acquisition: a batch of localized Facebook creatives showing real people doing Bollywood trending dances, then swapping in your selfie. It rode the Indian AI baby-dance and photo-dance trend, and took its first payments with a $0.49 entry price and a ₹549 subscription. Behind it is an app factory rotating brands over one template backend.

**C** **How you could follow it** Don't build another generic AI dance app. If you want to copy the factory playbook, plug into an existing template API, pick a country or theme nobody has saturated, make first-person face-swap creatives with local trending songs, and push paid spend for 3–4 weeks. When it cools, reskin.

C grade: AI dance already has seven or eight million-install apps. DancePop, the local Indian one, is 6 times Mylolens's size. The previous reskin in the same theme, Beatmo, has already run its course, and Mylolens is declining since it stopped paid spend. The factory tactics around rotation and localized creatives are worth learning, but following this theme directly isn't worth the effort. Few people know about it yet

Data (updated daily) · first launch 2026-08-02 · 11-07 installs 202,329

Android · Total installs worldwide

Data 2026-10-29 → 2026-11-07 (10 days, 10 observations). Google's detail page only refreshes install counts every other day, so a flat day doesn't mean nobody installed.

Mylolens is a Google Play app charting only in India: upload a photo, pick a template, and the person in it dances a trending routine. It sat with almost no installs for 7 weeks after its August launch, then in late September it started heavy Facebook ad spend. It grew to 180k installs in a month and reached the top 100 of India's Entertainment Top Grossing chart. Once paid spend stopped in November, daily new installs fell to a few hundred. Behind it is a white-label base and a factory playbook rotating several brands, and this same theme already ran through one earlier reskin. The playbook is worth studying, but the theme is crowded and not worth chasing.

### A one-star review that got 15 "helpful" votes

On Sep 26, the second day of Mylolens's install surge, an Indian user left this review on Google Play:

> "Subscribed for 549 rupees, only made 1 video, then had to pay extra for credits. The video quality is the worst. This is a big trap, don't get fooled."

By Nov 6, the review had 15 "helpful" votes, and it's the top review on the store page. Two shorter ones below it: "asking too much money" and "very nice but I asking money more". The developer, Pixel Dream Works, replied on Sep 29 with a stock line: "We apologize for the inconvenience caused, and we have received your feedback."

A user feeling scammed right after paying would be bad news for most apps. For Mylolens it shows something else: the app was never built to keep anyone. It only needs each new install to pay the first charge.

### What it is

The store listing title is "Turn Photos Into Viral Dances." It has four selling points: making the person in a photo dance a trend, baby dances, couples duets and rap performances. Pick a template, upload a photo as prompted, get a short video, "no need to film yourself dancing."

You pay before you can generate. In-app purchases run from $0.49 to $49.99, a subscription is ₹549 (about $6.5), and after subscribing you still buy credits to generate. There are no ads. Version 0.1.0, released August 2, with no updates since (Google Play, 11-06).

The product itself is nothing special: template-based photo dancing. The category already has seven or eight million-install apps on Google Play.

### How the installs came in: 7 weeks of nothing, 4 weeks of spend

| Date | Total installs | Average daily new installs during |
|---|---|---|
| 08-02 | Launched | — |
| 09-25 | 625 | The 7 weeks were close to 0 |
| 10-01 | 26k | About 6,400 |
| 10-05 | 79k | About 22k |
| 10-21 | 155k | About 15k (with a dip around 10-13) |
| 10-27 | 184k | About 5,000 |
| 11-06 | 202k | About 700 |

Data is Google Play installs. Before Oct 29, the numbers are third-party estimates, and the gap days are averaged.

For 7 weeks after launch it had only a few hundred installs. Then over 10 days it climbed 78k, and a month later it cooled just as fast. Organic word of mouth doesn't produce a curve like this. This is what bought traffic looks like.

Some of the channel is visible. Mylolens has a Facebook page full of paid-style vertical short videos, all following the same formula: first a clip of a real person doing a trending dance step, a Bollywood hookstep, a beach dance or a leg-shake, then "put your selfie in, you can dance too." The copy is all first-person:

- "My selfie doing the hookstep? Try the face swap—install Mylolens"

- "My selfie did the leg-shake face swap 😂🕺 Upload yours and install mylolens"

- "Selfie in, tiny dance star out"

The soundtrack is "Dilruba" from the Hindi film Khel Khel Mein. One ad is blunt: "Want the dance effect from the ad? Download Mylolens now." That one has 27k views. The words "from the ad" essentially confirm they bought Meta ads. How much was spent, and whether Google App Campaigns ran alongside, can't be seen from outside.

It also rode an existing trend. On Instagram, #aibabydance has about 26k reels. Hindi YouTube has plenty of tutorials like "Photo se dance video kaise banaye" (how to make a dance video from a photo), and one on AI baby dances has 350k views. Times of India also wrote about AI baby-dance reels. People saw the effect on reels, wanted a one-tap version, and the ads caught them. No user-generated TikTok, X or YouTube posts about Mylolens turned up. Its reach was bought.

### Where the money comes from

Nov 6 it sits at #97 on India's Entertainment Top Grossing chart. In Oct 29 it was #87, and it's been sliding since. The bar to chart at #90 on India's Entertainment Top Grossing is low. The same developer's Oviarise ranks #63–68, and a third-party estimate puts it at about $5,000 a month. Going by that, Mylolens is probably earning a few thousand dollars a month (inferred, not verified).

This is how it earns: ads bring people in, the $0.49 entry price lowers the bar for a first payment, and credits are sold after subscription. The first order is the revenue, and repeat purchases and reputation aren't part of the plan. The one-star review above is a direct result of that design.

### Behind it is an app factory

Looking at Mylolens alone, you'd think it's a one-off hit. Lay out the developer Pixel Dream Works' other apps and it's clear: in 2026, from July 30 to August 7,9, they shipped 4 apps in a few days (Google Play, 11-06):

| App | Theme | Total installs | past 7 days | India Entertainment Top Grossing 10-29 → 11-06 |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Flarcast | AI photo editing | 173k | +60k | #78 → #40 |
| **Mylolens** | **AI dance** | **202k** | +18k | #87 → #97 |
| Oviarise | Pixel-stretch avatars | 179k | +29k | #91 → #68 |
| Vistell | AI images/video | 151k | +2,351 | #121 → #123 |

Mylolens has the most cumulative installs but the weakest November momentum. At the same time Flarcast is accelerating. The factory rotates spend across several shells, adds budget to whichever one pays back fastest, and pulls out when one cools.

The shared base shows in the shells. Mylolens's privacy policy page loads its logo from a CDN and site template under a1.art. a1.art is an AI image and video template platform run by a Hong Kong company (Jishi Design & Tech). Its privacy page also says it provides "API access for third-party websites and apps." So these apps are probably the same template backend under different brands and domains (inference: whether Pixel Dream Works and a1.art are a white-label client relationship or the same company is unverified).

More telling is an app called Beatmo: AI Photo Dance Maker. It launched in March 2026, its privacy page sits directly under beatmo.app.a1.art, the theme is photo dancing, and it reached 1.14M installs. It now adds only 7 installs in 279 days, and on India's Entertainment Top Grossing chart it fell from No. 155 to No. 164. **Mylolens is the same photo-dancing theme with a new brand, a new domain, and another round of spend.** A theme outlives any single brand, and the factory runs on that.

### Who it's competing with

| Product | Scale (Google Play, 11-06) | Compared with Mylolens |
|---|---|---|
| Face Dance(Codeway) | 23.9M installs, launched 2021 years ago | Established, global release, constantly updated, from $1.99 |
| Viggle AI | 10.8M installs, rating 4.6 | Drives any video's motion, has a web version and a meme community, strong organic spread |
| Animator: AI Dance Video | 3.46M installs | Launched 2022 years ago, charting in 15 countries |
| Dance AI(DeePix) | 1.33M installs, charting in 26 countries | Targets a high price tier, from $9.99, No. 4 in Turkey's Photo Top Grossing |
| DancePop | 1.25M installs, +83k in 7 days | Also from $0.49, also targeting India, No. 46 on India's Entertainment Top Grossing, 6 times Mylolens's size |
| Beatmo | 1.14M installs, now stalled | Same base, same theme as the earlier reskin |
| DanceHit | 410k installs, 7 days +70k | Launched 2026 July, live in 23 countries, from $11.99 |
| Web tools like Kling, Pollo, Vidu; Gemini and CapCut templates | Very large | Most have a free tier, you just have to follow a tutorial |

On Google Play alone, there are seven or eight AI dance apps that have passed a million installs, and more keep launching this year. Mylolens came late, is small, and isn't the biggest one in India.

### How many people know about it

Almost nobody has heard of Mylolens: no press coverage, no public revenue, no one on X or TikTok talks about it. It only shows up on automated pages on AppBrain and APKPure, plus a third-party growth chart that ranks it #82 in Entertainment. Its playbook and theme aren't new, though. The Chinese going-global crowd has already written about the "Indian AI image app factory." AI dance as a theme has big global players like Viggle and Codeway, and locally there's DancePop.

### If it were you

**The takeaway** : don't build an AI dance app. The niche is crowded, and Mylolens itself peaked and started falling after one run. What's worth copying is the factory playbook behind it: one backend, rotating brands and themes; creatives built on "popular local dance, swap in my selfie."

**Who it's for** : small teams already running app ads on Meta or Google who can calculate cost per install and first-purchase payback; who can get access to an image-to-video template API (platforms like a1.art offer public APIs) and are willing to run several bundles at once, scaling whichever one pays back. Ideally you know a country's local pop culture well enough to know which dance and song people are doing this month.

**Who it's not for** : indie devs who don't buy ads and rely on store search or organic spread. Mylolens has zero organic buzz on TikTok, X, or YouTube, and once paid spend stopped, it dropped to a few hundred installs a day. If you want a long-term product built on word of mouth and repeat use, don't copy it: its paywall is built for one-time harvesting, and the bad reviews focus on "traps" and "too expensive."

**How to do it** : use an off-the-shelf template API for the backend and don't build your own model. Don't make another generic "photo dance" app. Pick a specific theme or a country that hasn't been saturated: DancePop in India is already 6 times bigger than Mylolens, and Dance AI and DanceHit are buying premium-market ads. Consider markets like Indonesia (dangdut), Brazil (funk), or the Philippines, where entertainment spending barriers are low and local music is distinctive, and use local songs and dances as templates. (Inference: ad density for AI dance in these markets is unverified. Before you start, search the Meta Ad Library in the local language.) Copy the cheap entry price, but don't do "pay for a subscription, then buy credits on top," since that drags down ratings and hurts the next app in the line too.

**How to get users** : run vertical short-form video ads on Meta. Follow its creative formula: for the first 3 seconds, a real person does a popular local dance, then "swap in my selfie," with first-person copy over a song that's trending locally. Prepare 20–30 creatives at a time, concentrate spend over 3–4 weeks, and watch first-purchase payback. When it goes cold, move the budget to the next theme's app. Real-person dance videos and popular songs carry likeness and copyright risk, so shoot your own footage or buy licenses.

**Timing** : apps for new themes and countries need to launch while the local trend is still hot. A single app's useful life runs roughly 1–2 months (for reference, Mylolens went from launch to cold in about 5 weeks). The AI baby dance trend has been running in India since 2025, and the window is narrowing.

**Signs you've misread it** : ① Mylolens restarts ads in December, daily installs climb back to several thousand or more, and it stays in the top grossing charts for over 100 month, meaning the theme lasts longer in India than assumed; ② Pixel Dream Works or a similar factory starts seeding same-theme apps in new markets like Indonesia or Brazil and they chart in local top grossing, meaning the "switch countries" route works and you should move fast; ③ conversely, if Flarcast also goes cold within a month or two and the developer stops launching new apps, the factory itself is no longer making the numbers work.

## Why Mylolens: AI Dance Video Maker (av.mylolens.motif) could run

> Google Play · developer Pixel Dream Works · store launch 2026-08-02 · Entertainment category · charted only in India · research day 2026-11-06 Its sibling Oviarise already has a standalone report (/home/ljr/fanout/why/out/play_im.oviarise.shade.md). The matrix-wide fingerprint is covered more fully there, so this only adds Mylolens' own part.

### Bottom line

Mylolens' product itself is nothing special. It's one shell in an India-focused AI image-to-video "app factory," and its theme is "AI dance." After launching, it sat idle for about 7 weeks, then from late September started concentrated paid buying on Facebook / Meta: creatives of real people doing popular dance moves, with the face swapped to "my selfie." Spend ran from late September through late October, and within 10 days it hit roughly 80k installs, reaching 180k in a month. It used a $0.49 entry in-app purchase and a ₹549 subscription to get to #87–97 on India's Entertainment top grossing chart. From November, daily installs fell from tens of thousands to a few hundred, and its chart rank slid too. Spend has most likely shifted to its sibling Flarcast. It rode the 2025–2026 wave of "AI baby dance / photo dance" on Instagram. Same theme: the matrix's Beatmo already ran a round (1.14M installs, now only 7 over 279 days), and Mylolens just repackaged it and ran it again.

### 1. Data

**Install curve** (googleplay `app_day_ext` table, AppstoreSpy estimates; from 10-29 onward is our own collection):

| Date | Total installs | Average daily installs |
|---|---|---|
| 2026-08-02 | Store launch, version 0.1.0, no updates since (updated_at 08-03) | — |
| 2026-09-22 | APKPure first indexed it on 0.1.0 (apkpure.com/.../versions) | — |
| 2026-09-25 | 625 | ~600 |
| 2026-10-01 | 26,244 | ~6,400 |
| 2026-10-05 | 78,971 | ~21,800 |
| 2026-10-13 | 110,208 | ~8,000 |
| 2026-10-21 | 154,659 | ~15,000 |
| 2026-10-27 | 184,467 | ~5,000 |
| 2026-11-02 | 199,468 | ~2,300 |
| 2026-11-06 | 202,329 | ~700 |

- After launching on 8-02, it had almost no installs for about 7 weeks. On 9-25 it had only 625, and by 10-05 it was at 79k. That's what a curve from switched-on paid spend looks like; organic growth doesn't produce this shape.

- +17,862 over the last 7 days, daily installs falling steadily: after the 10-31 refresh it was +10k, then 500–1,100 per day.

- **Top grossing chart** : India Entertainment top grossing only: #87(10-29)→ #89 → #88 → #92 → #94 → #92 → #93 → #94 → #97(11-06) (googleplay `chart_rank` table); not on Top Free.

- **Monetization** : in-app purchases only, from $0.49–$49.99, no ads. Store reviews mention a ₹549 subscription (about $6.5).

- **Reviews** : The store page shows 108 reviews (the rating field is empty in our database, same unexplained gap as Oviarise). The top critical review (15 people found it helpful, 2026-09-26): "Subscribed for 549 rupees and it only generates 1 videos, after that you have to buy extra credits. Worst generation quality, this is a big trap." Other reviews include "asking too much money" (5 people found it helpful) and "very nice but I asking money more." The developer 09-29 replied to several of them with the same template apology (Google Play India page).

- **Third-party** : Peekly's "Fastest Growing Entertainment Apps 2026" ranks it #82, with "+8%, 90K" (peekly.app/reports/fastest-growing-apps/entertainment, search snippet). AppBrain describes it as "ranked in the top 100 entertainment apps." No revenue estimate. Sibling Oviarise ranks higher (India Entertainment top grossing #63–68), and Peekly estimates about $5k/month for it. **Inference** : Mylolens' monthly revenue is in the low thousands of dollars (unverified).

### II. Its place in the matrix

The same developer, Pixel Dream Works, published 4 apps between 2026-07-30 and 08-07 (googleplay table, 11-06), and another app, Runilens, has only 100+ installs (AppBrain):

| Bundle ID | Theme | Installs | 7-day gain | India Entertainment Top Grossing 10-29 → 11-06 |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| vi.flarcast.film Flarcast | AI photo editing | 172,791 | **+60,290** | #78 → #40 |
| av.mylolens.motif **Mylolens** | **AI dance** | **202,329** | +17,862 | #87 → #97 |
| im.oviarise.shade Oviarise | Pixel-stretch avatars | 179,218 | +29,337 | #91 → #68 |
| av.vistell.scene Vistell | AI images/video | 151,321 | +2,351 | #121 → #123 |

- Mylolens has the most cumulative installs of the four apps, but its momentum was weakest in November. Flarcast was accelerating over the same period, which suggests the factory rotates spend across its apps: it adds budget to whichever has good ROI and pulls it from whichever goes cold.

- **It's direct evidence that it's an a1.art white-label** : the logo on the privacy page `mylolens.app.mylolens.live/privacy-policy` is served from `txcdn-prod-a1art.xiaopiu.com/assets/a1seo-render/…`, which is the CDN and site renderer of a1.art (Jishi Design&Tech HK). The text says payments go through Stripe and mentions "API access for third-party sites and apps." The Oviarise report's "a1.art white-label" was originally inferred from fingerprints; Mylolens now has direct proof.

- **The previous shell in the same niche** : Beatmo: AI Photo Dance Maker (developer AIGC VIDEO GENERATOR, listed 2026-03-18) has the privacy page `beatmo.app.a1.art/...`, the same template and the same niche as Mylolens. It already has 1.14M installs, but it's only up 7 over 279 days, and its India Entertainment grossing rank fell from #155 to #164. Mylolens is "photo dance" relaunched under a new brand and domain.

- **Package name and branding** : APKPure's URL slug is `mylolens-ai-photo-video`, suggesting it may first have been called "Mylolens: AI Photo Video" before it became "AI Dance Video Maker" (**inference** ). The Facebook page also has family-portrait material like "Turn couple and family photos into meaningful and beautiful portraits," suggesting the shell tested several niches before settling on dancing as the main selling point.

### 3. Where users come from

1. **Facebook / Meta paid acquisition (mostly confirmed)** : Mylolens has its own Facebook page (id 61593609310919), filled with ad-style short-video creatives:
    - "Want to recreate the dance effect from the ad? Download Mylolens now." 27K views, with copy that literally says "the dance effect from the ad";
    - "My selfie did the leg-shake face swap 😂🕺 Upload yours and install mylolens" "My selfie doing the hookstep? Try the face swap—install Mylolens" "My selfie that Mylolens-gaya dance" (with the song "Dilruba" from the Hindi film Khel Khel Mein) "Beach dance face swap on your selfie" "Selfie in, tiny dance star out";
    - The formula is consistent: open with a real person doing a popular dance move (Bollywood hookstep, beach dance, hat dance), then say "put your selfie in and you can dance too," then push the install. The creatives use local Indian songs and dances.
    - Our metaads library only discovers advertisers via US / UK / Germany / Japan keywords, so India-targeted campaigns are outside its coverage. That is not evidence that it isn't advertising.
    - Combined with the install curve (about 7k added in 10 days after 78 weeks of spend, and a few hundred per day after spend stopped), it's fairly safe to say it grew mainly through paid acquisition.

2. **Riding the "AI baby dance / photo dance" wave** : On Instagram, #aibabydance has about 26k reels (instagram.com/popular/ai-baby-dance). Hindi and Telugu YouTube has many "Photo se dance video kaise banaye" tutorials (for example GREditz's "Baby AI Dance Video Kaise Banaye" with 350k views), and the Times of India also wrote about AI baby-dance reels (timesofindia.indiatimes.com/.../126546155.cms). The four selling points in Mylolens's description (trending dances, baby dancing, dancing with your crush, rap) are the most common types in this wave. Users see the effect on reels, search the store for a one-tap app, and paid creatives catch that demand.

3. **What I couldn't find** : TikTok search for "mylolens" returns no relevant videos (TikHub; TikTok was already banned in India); X has 60 posts in the last 0 days (x-radar); no media coverage, no Product Hunt; no YouTube tutorials mentioning Mylolens. The brand term was manufactured, so store-search traffic probably comes mainly from generic terms like "ai dance video," but I couldn't verify this with data.

### 4. Why people pay

- Indian users who want to make "baby dance / dance a trending move" reels install after seeing the ads. The app only generates after payment: an entry subscription of $0.49 or ₹549, and then you have to buy credits on top of the subscription (a reviewer's words). This is a one-time harvest model: the first purchase is the revenue, and repeat purchases and word of mouth aren't the point. Bad reviews cluster around "scam" and "too expensive."

- The India Entertainment grossing chart has a very low bar at #90. A few thousand dollars in monthly revenue is enough to stay on it. The ranking gives the factory a signal: did this niche pay back or not?

### 5. Competitors

| Competitors | Where | When it launched | Scale (library googleplay 11-06) | How it differs from Mylolens |
|---|---|---|---|---|

| DancePop - AI Dance Video(FuMaoMao) | Android | 2026-05 | 1.25M, +83k over 7 days, India's Entertainment Top Grossing #46 | Also priced from $0.49 and also targeting India, but charted in several countries, has a real rating of 4.4, and its scale is 6 times Mylolens's. It's its most direct rival in India. |
| DanceHit: AI Dance Generator(ScaleUp) | Android | 2026-07 | 410k, +70k in 7 days | 23 countries, from $11.99, targets premium markets |
| Beatmo: AI Photo Dance Maker (AIGC VIDEO GENERATOR, a1.art family) | Android | 2026-03 | 1.14M, 7-day +279 | The same base and niche, an earlier shell that has already run its course |
| Kling AI / Pollo / Vidu / aibabydance.com and other web AI dance generators | Web / big-tech features | 2025–2026 | Big | Web versions, mostly with a free tier; Mylolens sells one-tap video creation from templates on the phone |
| Gemini / Veo, CapCut templates + Hindi tutorials | Big-company features | 2025–2026 | huge | Free or cheap, but you have to follow tutorial steps |

This category has existed for a long time and is very crowded: Google Play alone has seven or eight AI dance apps at the million-install level. Mylolens came late and is small.

### VI. Differentiation

On product alone there's almost no differentiation: template-based photo dancing, version 0.1.0 listed with no updates since. Reviews say the quality is poor and the pricing is a trap. It differs from its peers in only two ways, and both are in distribution, not the product:

1. **India-only, using only local creatives** : Bollywood hooksteps and song-and-dance numbers like "Dilruba" in the ads, with the price pushed down to $0.49. DancePop, which also targets India with low prices, is bigger, so this isn't unique either.

2. **Factory operation** : the a1.art template backend + one brand, one domain shells + paid acquisition + rotation. When Beatmo ran its course, Mylolens took over the spend.

These differences are why it could reach 200k installs, but they only enable one run, not a lasting product.

### 7. How many people know about it

Nobody really knows about it yet. No public revenue, no press coverage, just 0 posts on X and TikTok and auto-generated pages on sites like AppBrain and APKPure and Peekly. The "Indian AI photo/video app factory" playbook has already been written up in the Chinese indie-going-global circles (see the Mivora piece by 人人都是产品经理 2026-09 cited in the Oviarise report), and "AI dancing" is already crowded worldwide with big players like Viggle and Codeway, so it's not an empty niche.

### VIII. Takeaways

- **Recycled niche, rotated brands** : the same a1.art-style template backend and the same "photo dance" niche, relaunched under a new brand (Beatmo → Mylolens) to collect another round. The niche outlives any single brand.

- **Creative playbook** : UGC-style short videos of "a real person doing a trending local dance → swap in your selfie," with first-person copy like "My selfie can dance now 😂" and a popular local song. This template can be moved to other countries and other dance niches.

- **Seed first, then open the spend** : after launch, run quietly for 7 weeks (possibly testing creatives or warming up accounts), then push volume with roughly 3–4 weeks of concentrated spend. When it cools, shift the budget to the next sibling shell.

- **Risks** : the paywall and "buy credits after subscribing" design concentrate bad reviews and may drag down the rating. Using real people's dance videos as face-swap material carries portrait and copyright risk.

### 9. Uncertain

- No direct data on spend scale, ROI, or channel mix. The Meta spend is inferred from the creatives on its Facebook page and the "from the ad" copy; India-targeted campaigns are outside our metaads library's coverage. Whether it uses Google UAC is unknown.

- The monthly revenue figure is only a reference, derived from the Oviarise Peekly estimate and not verified.

- "Originally called AI Photo Video, renamed later" is inferred from the APKPure slug. What it did during the 7 weeks of quiet seeding after launch is unknown.

- The rating is blank in the library, yet the store page shows 108 reviews. The reason is unclear.

- Whether Pixel Dream Works and a1.art (Jishi Design&Tech HK) are in a white-label client relationship or the same company is not confirmed by any business registry.
