Eilo - Social Chat & Video · Zowaa

# "Get to Know Me": a new video chat app with 40k installs that grew 26k in a week, backed by an older million-install app

**What it is** A 1v1 video chat app aimed at India and the Gulf states: male users see online Indian women, tap to start a video call, and are charged per minute in coins at $1.49 to $99.99 each.

**Why it took off** The backend, hosts and payments were already in place from the older app Tanar. A month after launch, paid acquisition was concentrated on only three of the richest markets: India, Saudi Arabia and the UAE. Coin-based monetization collects money fast, so tens of thousands of installs were enough to reach the Top Grossing chart.

**C** **How you could follow** If you have host resources or a white-label backend, and an overseas social team that knows app ad buying, you could copy its process of "one backend, many shells, test first then scale" and pick a market where similar apps are still few. Indie developers without a host pool should not follow.

Grade C: it relies on the older app, host supply, multiple developer accounts and ad budget, which followers can't quickly get. The category has large platforms with hundreds of millions of installs and a batch of same-template new apps, and Eilo is itself a copycat, with the risk of being cleared in bulk by Google. You can learn the playbook, but it's not an open niche. Few people know about it yet

Data (updated daily) · first launch 2026-09-20 · 11-07 installs 40,220

Android · Total installs worldwide

Data 2026-10-29 → 2026-11-07 (10 days, 10 observations). Google's detail page only refreshes install counts every other day, so a flat day doesn't mean nobody installed.

Eilo launched on Google Play in Sep 20 and barely got any installs for a month. From Oct 27 it grew 26k a week, and by Nov 6 it hit 40k installs and charted in India's Social top grossing list. This wasn't a new product catching fire. The same developer already had an older app, Tanar, with 1.06M installs, and Eilo is that app in a new wrapper. Here's what it sells, why 40k installs was enough to chart, where the installs came from, and whether you should follow it.

### Anjalii on the store page

Nov 6, I opened Eilo's store page. The first screenshot is titled "Get to Know Me": a girl in a blue sari, with a green dot next to her name, "Anjalii". Tags read "♀26" and "IN", she speaks Hindi and English, her bio says "Hi there, nice to see you", and three tags sit underneath: "Spicy · 8", "Cute · 32", "Adorable · 16". The second, "Say Hello", is the chat screen. Another girl, Shreyaa, has the bio "Cute but don't test me. I bite back. Streaming…", and the conversation includes voice notes of 1 and 60 seconds. The third, "Face to Face", is a video call: the girl fills the screen, with a small window in the top right showing an Indian man, and a red hang-up button. The fourth, "Meet Friends", is the home feed: tabs for New / Trending / I like, a "Talent Star Show" banner, and rows of girls tagged "HOT", with a video call button in the bottom right and one tile labeled "Free".

The screenshots explain the product: a male user opens the app, scrolls through a row of online Indian women, and taps for a video call.

The store copy says something else: "Everyone sees the world differently", "Exchange ideas", "Respect personal boundaries, share only what you're comfortable with". Not one suggestive word. The version is still 1.0.0 today, "Updated on Sep 20, 2026", with no updates since launch. It has in-app purchases at $1.49 to $99.99 each; the data safety section says it collects personal info, photos and videos, and device IDs.

### Where the money comes from: why 40k installs can reach the Top Grossing chart

This is an old category in overseas social apps, called 1v1 video chat, also known as "paid video dating". Male users buy coins and video chat with hosts, billed per minute, with the top tier at $99.99. There's no subscription and no ads; a small number of heavy-spending male users can carry the revenue.

Eilo only appeared on social charts in three countries (Google Play charts, 10-29 to 11-06): its best Free chart rank was #78 in Saudi Arabia (11-01), Free chart 134 to 184 in the UAE, Free chart 93 to 168 in India, and **Top Grossing** 132 to 167 in India. Male users in India are cheap and plentiful to acquire, and people in the Gulf states have strong spending power, so these three are where this category is richest. Reaching the Top Grossing chart with 40k installs shows the conversion to payment is aggressive.

The cost shows in the older app's reviews. On Tanar's store page, someone wrote "wanted to buy coins, got charged, coins never arrived" (2025-08-27), another wrote "put money in and it didn't do anything… don't download" (2026-01-05), and someone sincerely asked "how much does a month of coins cost, and how long can you talk?" (2025-10-26,49 people found it helpful).

### Who's behind it: the older app Tanar in a new shell

The developer is Zowaa, who has 5 apps on Google Play under their name (developer page, 11-06):

| App | Status |
|---|---|
| Tanar — Video Chats & Meetings | Listed 2025-08-14, 1.06M installs, 4.67 stars from 1,366 ratings, still up 12k over the last 7 days (Google Play, 11-06) |
| Tanar Lite | 100k+ installs, 18+ |
| Talkee — Video Calls & Friends | 10k+ installs, 18+ |
| Eilo - Social Chat & Video | 40k installs |
| Quiz Match Brain eo | A quiz tool, but its package name is com.guidesneaky.Sasquatcharcadegameplaynew, revealing it was originally a game guide app |

The last bundle ID note: this developer account **is probably a bought, aged account** (inference), renamed and used to push a video chat app.

Eilo's privacy policy is hosted under Tanar's domain (tanarfun.com/eilo_privacy_policy.html), signed by RE Operations LLC, a small US company unrelated to social apps, with a Gmail contact address. The homepage of tanarfun.com shows 403, not a real product website.

One ring further out, between Sep 9 and 20, 5 more packages built on the same template went live on Google Play: Hazz, Huppi, Ferri, Aello, and Eilo. Same package-name format (cc.<name>.<abbr>), same in-app purchase range of $1.49 to $99.99, same 12-section privacy policy template, even the same closing line "We will not reduce your rights without your explicit consent." They sit under different developer accounts, and their privacy policies are hosted on the domains of each team's older apps. The most likely explanation is that one white-label vendor sold or licensed one backend to several teams (inference). It could also be one company running several accounts.

So Eilo didn't have to be built from scratch: the backend, streamers, and payments all come ready-made from Tanar. It's just a new traffic entry point. If one package gets reported, demoted, or pulled, the next one keeps running.

### Where the users came from: nothing for a month, then 26k in a single week

Google Play installs: 10-24 about 5,500 (third-party estimate). 10-27 went 7,852,11-01 → 17,258,11-03 → 33,758,11-06 at 40,220. Last 7 days: +32,368.

The curve jumps in steps, but part of that is Google Play itself: its install counts refresh only every day or two, and sister app Tanar also jumps on the same two days, 11-01 and 11-03. What is clear is that Eilo had almost no installs in its first month, then added roughly 26k in a week after Oct 27, and has since been adding a bit over 3k a day. Its chart ranking peaked around 11-01 and has since slipped, with Saudi Arabia going back to #94 at 11-06.

No trace of it in public channels: searching "Eilo app" on TikTok returns 20 results and none of them are about it. On X, nobody has mentioned Eilo or Tanar in the last 30 days. The web only has auto-generated pages from download sites like AppBrain, Softonic, and APKPure. Google's top hit for "Eilo video chat app" is a different app called Amilo, which suggests almost nobody is searching for its name.

No reviews, no content, charting only in three high-value countries, and a sudden surge one month after launch. Most consistent with paid acquisition: Google App campaigns, Meta, or programmatic ad networks targeting India, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE (inference; no specific ads observed). Another possibility is funneling users from the older app: Tanar and Tanar Lite together have over a million users, and the new package could draw on them (inference, unverified).

One more detail: the store page has 31 reviews. Everything visible is from Oct 25 to 29, clustered in the days before the surge, and they all say one of "good," "awesome," or "ok." Reviewers have South Asian names, and each review has 3 to 8 "helpful" votes. This looks like seeding a batch of short positive reviews so the store page isn't empty before paid traffic starts.

### Who it's competing with

This is one of the most crowded categories in global social apps. Coin-based 1v1 video apps have hundreds of packages on Google Play, roughly in three tiers (Google Play installs, early November):

| Layer | Examples | Scale |
|---|---|---|
| Big platform | Tango (387M), OmeTV (254M), Bigo Live, SUGO | Hundreds of millions of installs, established brands, live streaming |
| Same format, multiple years in | Timo Club (51.7M), Lumi (29M), Toki (26.8M), MuMu / MuLive (a few million) | A few million to tens of millions, spread across a dozen-plus countries |
| The new wave from this year's second half | Cici (1.05M), MeetJoy (660k), Hazz (137k), Huppi (51k), Eilo (40k), Ferri, Aello | Tens of thousands to a million |

Even in the bottom tier, Eilo is second-string: of the 5 packages on the same template, Hazz got the most traffic. Eilo is itself a copycat.

### If it were you

**C**

There's a playbook to learn here, but no open slot. Eilo can run because it has an older app with millions of installs, ready-made streamers and payments, several developer accounts, and an ad budget. The product itself is identical to its sibling packages. Independent developers don't have those assets on hand, and the category is already occupied by huge platforms with hundreds of millions of installs and a whole batch of clones.

**Who it suits** : teams already doing global social apps that have streamer supply (or can plug into a white-label backend), that know how to run Google App campaigns and programmatic ad networks, and that can absorb payment and review risk.

**Who it doesn't suit** : indie developers with no streamer pool and no paid-acquisition experience; anyone hoping for organic growth through store search or TikTok content (this category has almost no organic traffic, and nobody searches for Eilo by name); anyone who cares about product reputation (complaints in this category center on "charged but no coins delivered").

**How to do it** : borrow the process, not the product. One backend, several shells, each with its own developer account and its own privacy policy domain. Keep several packages live, see which ones pass review and convert well, then concentrate spend on the winners. Write gentle store copy and avoid frequent updates after launch. Enter markets the leaders haven't worked hard: India, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE are already crowded; for Indonesia, Turkey, or Latin American smaller-language markets, count how many comparable apps exist before committing (inference).

**How to acquire users** : mainly paid. Spend only in a few countries with strong payment ability, and make creatives and screenshots look local. Eilo's screenshots are all of Indian women labeled Hindi. Seed a batch of positive reviews before launch so the store page isn't empty.

**Deadline** : there's no holiday window. This batch of new packages launched in September, and how long they last depends on when Google cleans them up. If you want in, figure out which shell lasts longest before the cleanup comes.

**How you could be wrong** : (1) Eilo was still listed in January of 2027 and gained over 300k installs, with its grossing rank climbing. That suggests new packages like this can survive longer than expected, leaving a wider window to enter. (2) Conversely, Hazz, Huppi, Ferri, Aello, and Eilo all disappeared from Google Play within a month or two. That suggests Google is cleaning out this template, and entering now means paying tuition to the takedown.

Competitors

| Name | Where | Launched | Scale | How it differs from this one |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Tanar / Tanar Lite / Talkee (same developer, Zowaa) | Android | Tanar 2025-08-14 | 1.06M / 100k+ / 10k+ installs | Older packages under the same account. Eilo is a reskinned successor and a new traffic entry point. Privacy policy shared at tanarfun.com. |
| Hazz, Huppi, Ferri, Aello | Android | 2026-09-09 ~ 09-20 | Hazz 137k, Huppi 51k, the rest tens of thousands | Same template, same package-name format, same in-app purchase range, under different accounts. Hazz got more spend than Eilo. |
| Cici, MeetJoy (METAZ) | Android | 2026-08-04 | 1.05M / 660k installs | New packages from the same period, more than ten times Eilo's volume |
| Lumi, MuLive / MuMu, Toki, the Timo series | Android | 2019 – 2026 | A few million to 5 tens of millions of installs | Same coin-based 1v1 model, longer-running, more countries |
| Tango, Bigo Live, OmeTV, SUGO | Android | Years | Hundreds of millions of installs | Established platforms with live streaming and random matching. Eilo lives off the long-tail paid traffic around them. |

Where users come from

- Inference **Paid acquisition (likely Google App Campaigns / Meta / ad networks, targeting India, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE)** : only charting in in / sa / ae. Almost no installs in its first month, then +26k a week between 10-27 and 11-03. No organic content at all. Ad libraries don't show it (that doesn't mean no spend).

- **Confirmed** **Shell matrix / reuse of older app Tanar** : Zowaa has 5 apps under its name (Tanar, Tanar Lite, Talkee, Eilo, plus a utility app whose package name looks like a game guide, possibly an acquired older account). Eilo's privacy policy is hosted on tanarfun.com. The organization name is RE Operations LLC. It shares the same privacy template with Hazz and 4 other packages.

- Inference **Seeded reviews** : 31 reviews cluster between 10-25 and 10-29 (the days before the surge), all saying good / awesome / ok, with South Asian reviewer names.

- Inference **TikTok / X / media / store brand search** : TikHub, x-radar (30 days, 0 posts), and web search found nothing relevant, only APK download sites. The top result for "Eilo video chat app" is a different app, Amilo.

## Why Eilo - Social Chat & Video (cc.eilo.ei) can run

> Channel: Google Play. Developer: Zowaa. Research date: 2026-11-06. One-liner: This is a coin-based video chat app for India and the Gulf states, a 1v1 play. Zowaa's older app Tanar already has 1.06M installs, and Eilo is the new sister app it just launched as a 2026-09-20 reskin. It's breaking out now thanks to paid acquisition and a stack of look-alike apps, not because the product itself stands out.

### 1. Basic data

| items | value | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Launched | 2026-09-20 (version 1.0.0, no updates since; store page says "Updated on Sep 20, 2026") | Google Play library app / app_snap; store page |
| Cumulative global installs | 10-24 about 5,479 → 10-27 7,852 → 11-01 17,258 → 11-03 33,758 → 11-05 36,807 → 11-06 40,220 | Google Play library app_day / app_day_ext (10-24, 10-25 are AppstoreSpy estimates) |
| Installs added in last 7 days | +32,368 | Google Play library app_profile |
| Charts | Charted in only 3 countries' social category charts: Saudi Arabia free chart best at #78 (11-01), UAE free chart #134–184, India free chart #93–168, India **Top Grossing** chart #132–167 | Google Play library chart_rank 10-29 to 11-06 |
| Monetization | In-app purchases $1.49 – $99.99 per item (coins) | app_snap.iap_range |
| Rating | No rating in the library. The store page shows 31 reviews. The visible ones, clustered around 10-25 to 10-29, are a single positive phrase: "good" / "awesome" / "ok," from reviewers with South Asian names. | Store page (read via Jina, 2026-11-06) |
| Age rating / data | 18+ social app; the data safety label lists collection of personal info, photos and videos, and device IDs, with no sharing with third parties | Store page |

Install curve note: installs climb in steps (11-01 +9,406,11-03 +16,500, with flat days in between 0). Google Play installs themselves refresh only every day or two, and sister app Tanar also jumps on 11-01 and 11-03 (+4,945 / +7,610), so part of the stair shape comes from the store's refresh cycle. It can't by itself prove pulsed paid acquisition. What we can say: from 10-27 to 11-03 it added about 26k in a week, then a bit over 3k a day. Chart ranks peaked around 11-01 (#78 in Saudi, #93 in India), then slid, and by 11-06 Saudi was back to #94.

### 2. Who's behind it: the Zowaa matrix

Zowaa has 5 apps on Google Play under its developer page (read via Jina, 2026-11-06):

| App | Bundle ID | Status |
|---|---|---|
| Tanar — Video Chats & Meetings | com.adc.tanar | 2025-08-14 released, 1,064,339 installs, 4.67 out of 5 stars / 1,366 ratings, +12,555 in the last 7 days (googleplay library) |
| Tanar Lite — Video Chats | com.adc.tanar.lite | 100K+ installs, 299 reviews, 18+ (store page) |
| Talkee — Video Calls & Friends | com.talkee.tke | 10K+ installs, 81 reviews, 18+ (store page) |
| Eilo - Social Chat & Video | cc.eilo.ei | The subject of this report, 40k installs |
| Quiz Match Brain eo | com.guidesneaky.Sasquatcharcadegameplaynew | Utilities, 2025-08-04 updates. The package name shows it was originally a game strategy package, which suggests this developer account **is very likely a bought, aged account** that was repurposed for a video chat app |

A few pieces of evidence that tie them together:

- Eilo's privacy policy is hosted on Tanar's domain: `https://www.tanarfun.com/eilo_privacy_policy.html`; Tanar's own is `tanarfun.com/tanar_privacy_policy.html`. The tanarfun.com homepage returns nginx 403, not a public website.

- Privacy policy signature: Developer: Zowaa; Organization: **RE Operations LLC** ; email zowazo76@gmail.com. The organization name belongs to a small US LLC with no connection to social apps, and the same pattern appears in sibling packages (Huppi is under J.B MOVING AND HAULING LLC), suggesting bought or leased corporate developer accounts.

- We checked this while researching Hazz (see /home/ljr/fanout/why/out/play_cc.hazz.cc.md): Hazz (cc.hazz.cc), Huppi (cc.huppi.h), Ferri (cc.ferri.ferri), Aello (cc.aello.aello), and Eilo (cc.eilo.ei) 5 packages launched one after another between 2026-09-09 and 09-20. They share the package name format (cc.<name>.<abbr>), the same in-app purchase range of $1.49–$99.99, and a privacy policy built from the same 12-section template, even down to the closing line "We will not reduce your rights without your explicit consent." They sit under different developer accounts, and each privacy policy is hosted on the domain of its older package (lunzoap.com, mayaolive.com, minho.live, tanarfun.com, habitfun.live). This suggests these packages likely come from one service provider or white-label template, distributed across multiple teams or accounts.

### 3. Competitors

The same thing (a coin-based 1v1 video chat / stranger video dating app, where male users top up and pay per minute to video chat with female hosts) has hundreds of packages on Google Play, in three tiers:

| Layer | Examples | Scale | How Eilo differs |
|---|---|---|---|
| Big platform | Tango (2010B installs), Bigo Live, OmeTV (254M), SUGO | 100M+ | These have brands, host pools, and live streaming. Eilo competes for the long-tail paid acquisition traffic around them. |
| Established same-model matrices | Lumi (202B), MuLive / MuMu (7.69M / 8.76M), Toki (26.8M), the Timo series (FAST WALL, Timo Club 51.7M), Chatta / MeetJoy (METAZ) | Several million to tens of millions | The same monetization, but running longer and across a dozen-plus countries |
| The new clone wave in the second half of 2026 | Hazz (137k, +48k in 7 days), Huppi (51k), Cici (1.05M), MeetJoy (660k), Ferri, Aello, Minemo, Vazuno, Halwa Pro, and others | Tens of thousands to 1M | The same thing as Eilo. Among these 5 sibling packages, Hazz got the most traffic, and Eilo is second tier. |
| Same family | Tanar (1.06M), Tanar Lite (100k+), Talkee (10k+) | | Eilo is a reskinned successor to Tanar. Tanar itself is still adding 10k+ per week. |

(Scale data for the large platforms and the matrix comes from the googleplay library; see the Hazz and Huppi reports at /home/ljr/fanout/why/out/play_cc.hazz.cc.md and play_cc.huppi.h.md.)

No major company runs this as an official feature. It is a mature category that people in the going-global community know well, and it is a red ocean.

### 4. Where users come from

| Channel | Evidence | Verification |
|---|---|---|
| Paid acquisition (most likely Google App Campaigns / Meta / ad networks, targeting India, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE) | Charted in only 3 countries, and exactly the 3 richest markets for this category. Barely any traffic for the first month (10-24 only 5K), then a sudden +26K in one week after 10-27. No organic content at all (see below). Our ad library only tracks products on our list, so not finding ads doesn't mean there are none. | No (inferred) |
| Clone matrix / traffic from older packages | Under the same account: Tanar with 1.06M installs, Tanar Lite with 100k+. Privacy policies share tanarfun.com. The backend and hosts are likely shared too. | The matrix is confirmed; the traffic redirection is not |
| Incentivized reviews / fake ratings | 31 reviews cluster between 10-25 and 10-29, with one-word content like "good", "awesome", and "ok". The reviewers have South Asian names and appear right when traffic started picking up. The reviews themselves received 3–8 "helpful" votes. | Yes (the pattern is confirmed; whether it was incentivized can't be proven) |
| Store search | The title stuffs in "Social Chat & Video." When searching "Eilo video chat app," Google's first result is a different app, Amilo, which suggests almost no brand search demand. | Weak |
| TikTok / X / press / Reddit | A TikHub search for "Eilo app" returned 20 results, none of them Eilo. x-radar searches for "eilo app" and "tanar app" over the last 30 days both returned 0. Web search only turns up auto-generated APK pages like AppBrain, Softonic, and APKPure. | Checked, nothing found |

Where the money comes from: male users buy coins and host videos, with the top single item at $99.99. With only 40k installs it reached ranks 132–167 on India's social Top Grossing chart, which shows very aggressive payment conversion. Tanar's store reviews show the cost of this model: "if you try to buy coin they will cut money but you didn't received coin" (2026-08-27), "even after investing money, they are not making money ... do not download" (2026-01-05). Some users also ask "how much for a month of coins, how long can I chat?" (2025-10-26,49 people marked it helpful).

### 5. Why it can break out

1. **A ready-made parent package** : Zowaa's Tanar already has 1.06M installs and a 4.67 rating. Its backend, host supply, and payments can be reused directly. Eilo's privacy policy is hosted on tanarfun.com (googleplay library, privacy policy text).

2. **New reskins used to hedge against takedowns and expand traffic** : the 5 sibling packages built on the same template launched one after another in mid-September. They were held back, then Eilo's traffic was scaled up from late October (10-27 to 11-03 +26k).

3. **Only spend in high-ARPU markets** : Indian male users are cheap and plentiful, and Gulf countries have strong payment capacity. Eilo's charts appear only in in / sa / ae, and it reached India's Top Grossing chart (chart_rank).

4. **Coin monetization can cover acquisition costs** : with coin tiers from $1.49 to $99.99, 40k installs were enough to reach a Top Grossing rank.

5. **Low-profile review approval** : The store copy is gentle ("exchange ideas," "respect personal boundaries") with no borderline keywords. The version has stayed at 1.0.0 without updates, which reduces re-review risk.

### 6. Differentiation

There is no product differentiation: the copy, in-app purchase structure, privacy template, and sibling packages are all identical. The real difference is the team's pipeline: old packages, multiple accounts, multiple package names, multiple privacy domains, test many packages first, then concentrate the budget. Eilo worked because of this system, not the product.

### 7. How many people see it now

- Few people know about it yet: there is no media coverage, no X discussion, no TikTok content, and revenue isn't public. The operator hides behind RE Operations LLC and a Gmail address.

- But the category itself is a well-known red ocean in the going-global community, and it is highly templated. It is not an empty niche.

- Followers: Eilo is itself a follower. The sibling packages Hazz, Huppi, Ferri, and Aello, along with more than 2026-08 similar new packages after it, all do the same thing.

### 8. What to borrow

- How 1v1 pay-per-video monetization works: coin tiers range from $1.49 up to $99.99, and a small number of heavy-spending male users pay back the acquisition costs.

- The matrix playbook: one old package carries several reskinned new packages that share a backend. Developer accounts are bought aged accounts or US shell LLCs. Each package's privacy policy is hosted on a different domain, which lowers the risk of being taken down all at once.

- Spend only in a few high-ARPU countries, keep the store copy gentle, and avoid frequent updates after launch.

- Before traffic starts, post a batch of short positive reviews so the store page doesn't look empty.

### 9. Still unclear

- Which specific channels were used and how much was spent (not tracked by the ad library).

- The real operator behind Zowaa / RE Operations LLC is likely a going-global Chinese team or a client of a white-label provider. Not verified.

- Whether the 5 sibling packages belong to one company, or one white-label supplier sold them to different teams.

- Real revenue and retention, and whether the app uses real hosts, fake profiles, or AI chat.

- Whether fake reviews and coin complaints will get it taken down by Google soon, or replaced by the next new package.
