# Five girls all named Kelly: a video chat app with 80k installs, how did it squeeze into Singapore's top grossing chart

**What it is** A stranger 1v1 video chat app: men see girls marked "online," tap to start a video call, and pay per minute in coins, at $0.49 to $99.99 each.

**Why it took off** This category collects money fast, so tens of thousands of installs can build real revenue; the Singapore top grossing chart also has a low bar, which is why it charted only in Singapore. The install curve comes in waves, looking like batched paid acquisition.

**C** **How you could follow it** Overseas social teams with creator resources and programmatic ad buying can copy its "one backend, rotating multiple shells" approach and pick a small-language market no one has taken; indie devs without a creator pool should stay away.

C grade: the money is real, but in this category Chamet, Riff, Mici and similar apps already have millions to hundreds of millions of installs, and the creator supply, payments and paid acquisition that decide the outcome are out of reach for followers. Yuno's own ranking is also falling. What you can learn is the playbook, not an open gap. Few people know about it yet

Yuno is a stranger 1v1 video chat app, launched Aug 10, with its version number still at 1.0.0 today, yet in early November it climbed to #22 on Singapore's entertainment top grossing chart. It isn't a new product that took off; it's a mature "pay-per-minute in coins" backend on its third shell. Below: how it makes money, why something this small can chart, where users come from, and whether you should follow it.

### Open the store page and five people are all named Kelly

Nov 6, the Yuno Google Play page on the Singapore store opens with the first screenshot reading "See Who's Online Now." Below it is a photo wall: five young women of different looks and skin tones, each avatar with a pink "Online" badge, all named "Kelly ♀26". The next four screenshots read "Trust Your First Sight." (a blonde woman smiling at the camera, with a small window in the corner showing a male user and a green answer button), "Pure Visual Connection.", "No More Waiting." (a ring of female avatars around one man), and "Every Moment Counts." (a chat bubble saying "Nice To Connect With You✨").

These images already say what the product is: a male user opens the app, sees a row of women marked "online", taps one and gets a video call. The store page lists in-app purchases at $0.49 to $99.99 a unit, no ads, rated 18+. The people in the photos look like AI-generated models, not real hosts (inferred from the art style and the uniform "Kelly 26" naming).

One more detail: the title is "Video Call Online", but the one-line blurb says "Online 1-on-1 voice chat", so video has become voice. No version has shipped in three months, and the "What's new" field still says "First version".

### What it is: the third shell on the same backend

The developer is called "Bussell Games", which sounds like a game studio, yet it has no games. The contact email is a personal Gmail address, and there is no website. The same developer account has two more nearly identical apps, both rated 18+, with in-app purchases, and both showing 100K+ downloads on Google Play (store page, 11-06):

| App | Bundle ID | store page updated | Privacy policy |
|---|---|---|---|
| EchoHub - Global Chat & Calls | com.alls.echohub | 2026-06-15 | echohubchat.com (the name it goes by) |
| Zeya: Live Talk & Easy Chat | com.alls.oyeji.livetalkl.easychat | 2026-08-04 | echohubchat.com/oyeji/ |
| Yuno-Video Call Online | com.alls.call.chat.live.yuno | 2026-08-10 | echohubchat.com/yuno/ |

Yuno's privacy policy page was published the day the app launched on Aug 10, but the body reads "Last Updated: January 16, 2026". It's a template written seven months earlier, back in the EchoHub days, with only the name swapped. On AppBrain, the three apps under this developer ID add up to about 200k installs.

All the package names share com.alls.*, and each app hangs its own privacy policy off a subpath of one domain. This is the standard playbook for going-global social teams: one backend, one host pool, and new packages listed on the front end in rotation. When one package gets reported, demoted, or pulled, the next package takes over paid acquisition, and users and hosts stay the same people on the server side. A version that hasn't changed in three months while the app keeps running suggests matching, billing and content all live on the server, with the app just a shell (inferred).

### Where the money comes from: why 80k installs can reach the Top Grossing chart

Third-party estimates put Yuno at about 11-06k cumulative installs by 82, about 16.5k new in September, and about 31k over the last 53 days (AppstoreSpy estimate). The scale is small, but from Nov 1 to 3 it reached #65 on the Singapore overall Top Grossing chart and #22 in Entertainment Top Grossing (Google Play charts, 11-01 to 03).

Two reasons stack on top of each other:

**First, this category makes money fast.** 1v1 video chat charges coins per minute, so a male user tops up after a single call, with the highest tier at $99.99. It doesn't rely on subscriptions or ads, so a small base of paying users can still build real revenue.

**Second, Singapore's charts are easy to get onto.** Across Google Play charts in 30 countries, Yuno appeared only in Singapore and was not good enough anywhere else. Singapore's population is small, so the revenue needed to reach the middle of the Top Grossing chart is far lower than in the US, Saudi Arabia or Turkey, where comparable top products have charted. So a chart run mostly shows the bar is low, not that the app earns much. Whether the people paying are Singaporean is also unclear.

And it is already sliding: by 11-06 it had dropped to #123 on the overall Top Grossing chart and #42 in Entertainment.

### Where users come from: ads you can't see

The install curve doesn't rise smoothly. It comes in waves: Oct 4 added about +3,400 in one day, Oct 14 to 16 added 3,000–4,600 a day, Oct 21 added about +6,500, then it fell back to a few hundred a day. Nov 4 to 6 added 0, +1,238 and +343 (third-party estimates). That's 80k installs, with no visible rating and no reviews on the page. This shape looks more like batch ad buys than word of mouth (inferred).

But no public ad library shows its ads. The Google Ads Transparency Center has no advertiser named Bussell Games, and Meta's Ad Library returns nothing for the com.alls package names or the echohubchat domain. Searching "yuno video call" on TikTok returns zero videos, nobody has mentioned it on X in nearly 90 days, and the only web hits are auto-generated pages on download sites like Softonic and CNET. Common practice in this category is buying through programmatic ad networks like AppLovin or Mintegral, or running Google app campaigns through an agency account, so the advertiser stays invisible from outside (inferred).

What can be confirmed is store search: the title is stuffed with "Video Call Online", and the package names carry call, chat and live, so it rides on search terms like "video call". Another possibility is traffic carried over from older packages: EchoHub and Zeya each have users in the hundreds of thousands, and a new shell could pick up old users (inferred, not verified).

### Who it's competing with

This is one of the most crowded categories in going-global social apps. Apps with the same mix of random matching, video and coins that are one to two orders of magnitude bigger are everywhere (Google Play global install estimates, 11-06):

| Product | Launched | Scale | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Chamet | 2019-11 | 78.4M installs, +7k in 178 days; #4 on the UAE overall Top Grossing chart | A leading brand, doing live streaming, party rooms and 1v1 too |
| Azar | 2013-10 | 293M installs | Owned by Match Group, a regulated, heavily invested brand |
| OmeTV | 2015-07 | 254M installs, +968k in 7 days | Free random matching that picked up the traffic left behind when Omegle shut down |
| Riff | 2025-04 | 15.5M installs; #46 on Saudi Top Grossing | Same kind of individual-name developer with a template privacy page, already at tens of millions |
| Deka | 2025-05 | 4.57M installs, +192k in 7 days | Same playbook |
| Mici | 2025-10 | 2.09M installs, +216k in 7 days | A new shell less than a year old, already at two million |
| PyaarHai | 2024-11 | 14.7M installs; #199 on India Top Grossing | Built specifically for India |

Even on Singapore's Entertainment Top Grossing chart, the apps right next to Yuno are real-person social apps like Dino (#21), Wefun (#23) and WePlay (#31). Yuno is no different from them in function. It's a small sibling of the same model as Riff, Deka and Mici.

### If it were you

**Verdict: C.** The business is real and the money comes in fast, but what Yuno shows is that this model can surface on the charts of small countries. It does not show that there is room here. What decides success is host supply, payments and paid acquisition, and its competitors have been building all three for five years.

**Who it suits:** teams already running going-global social or live-streaming products, with host agency relationships, the ability to handle multi-country payments and withdrawals, and programmatic ad buying. For them, Yuno's "one backend, rotating shells" setup is a ready-made reference.

**Who it doesn't suit:** solo indie developers and small teams without host resources. The app itself can be built in a week. The hard part is making sure that when a male user taps in, someone actually answers. You either sign hosts or pass off AI or pre-recorded clips as live, and the latter is the main source of bans, refunds and bad reviews. App stores are also tightening review of adult-leaning stranger video, so any single package can disappear at any time, which is why competitors keep several shells ready.

**How to do it:** if you already have a host pool, stop building "global random matching". Pick a language or audience that the leaders haven't seriously worked, such as a smaller Middle Eastern, Latin American or Southeast Asian market, and use a server-driven shell so you can change prices and matching without shipping updates. If you don't have hosts, copy the method, not the product: real-person interaction billed by the minute (language tutoring, tarot, paid chat consultations) also tends to surface on the charts of small countries.

**How to get users:** this category runs mostly on programmatic paid acquisition plus store search terms. Write the title and package name with the words users actually search (video call, live chat). Start with a small budget in a small country where the chart bar is low, and scale only once payback is proven (inferred).

**Deadline:** there is no clear window. This category won't vanish within months, and it won't suddenly free up. The window for Yuno's shell itself already looks like it's closing: since Nov 4, daily new installs have dropped to a few hundred, and its ranking is falling.

**How you'd be wrong:** ① Yuno or the next shell on the same backend charts in big markets like the US, Saudi Arabia or Turkey, which would mean this small backend earns far more than it looks like it does; ② a new app built around real hosts plus one specific scenario (rather than generic stranger matching) reaches a million installs within three months, which would mean there are still gaps to cut into in this category; ③ Google Play pulls com.alls-style shell packages in bulk, which would narrow the room for copying this playbook.

A closing note for anyone hunting for opportunities: when you see an app with "only tens of thousands of installs" in the top 100 of a small country's chart, first check what category it is in, how many countries it charts in, and whether the developer has several identical apps, before deciding whether it is a signal.

- Inferred **programmatic paid acquisition / monetization network or agency account buying Google UAC** : the install curve is pulse-shaped (10-04 about +3.4k, 10-14~16 at 3–4.6k a day, 10-21 about +6.5k, then back to a few hundred); 0 with 0 reviews, no version updates, which doesn't look like organic growth; industry practice

- Inferred **Google Ads Transparency Center** : checked the googleads library 2026-11-02, status no_ads, and no advertiser under Bussell Games

- Inferred **Meta / TikTok (Europe) ads** : no com.alls.* package names or echohubchat domain in metaads; tiktokads adv_map status no_ads

- **Confirmed** **store search / ASO** : title stuffed with "Video Call Online", package names carry call, chat and live; Play link carries utm_term=yuno+video+call+online+app (organic search)

## Yuno-Video Call Online (com.alls.call.chat.live.yuno) research report

> Channel: Google Play | Developer: Bussell Games (busselldenis@gmail.com) | First released 2026-08-10 | Category ENTERTAINMENT | Research date 2026-11-06

### Bottom line

Yuno isn't a "new product that took off." It's a **going-global 1v1 paid video chat (creators charge per minute in coins) shell** : the same backend (echohubchat.com), under the same developer account, has already been rebranded at least three times (EchoHub → Zeya → Yuno). Each shell has 100K+ installs and monetizes through in-app purchases (priced $0.49–$99.99). It reached #22 on the Singapore Entertainment Top Grossing chart on the strength of this category's naturally high ARPU, plus a low bar on Singapore's grossing charts, not on the product or any differentiation.

### 1. Data (our database + store page)

- **Installs** : 82,324 (Google Play library app_snap, 2026-11-06; store tier 10K+). +13,442 over 7 days (10-30 68,882 → 11-06), about +19.5%.

- **Trajectory since launch** (Google Play library app_day_ext, AppstoreSpy estimates): 9-01 about 4,835 → 10-01 about 21,324 (September +16.5k) → 10-06 about 28,902 → 11-06 82,324 (+53k over the last 31 days, about 1.7k/day). Growth isn't smooth, it comes in bursts: 10-04 single day about +3.4k, 10-14~16 at 3–4.6k per day, 10-21 about +6.5k, 11-03 observed +9.5k (including several days combined). 11-04 to 11-06 clearly slowed (0 / +1.2k / +343). This pulse shape looks more like batched paid spend than organic word of mouth.

- **Charts** (Google Play library chart_rank): only appeared on the **Singapore Top Grossing chart** ; none of the other 30 stores charted it. Singapore overall Top Grossing 10-30 #96 → 11-01~03 #65 (peak) → 11-06 #123; Entertainment Top Grossing #33 → #22 (peak) → #42. Never charted on Top Free. Rankings are already falling.

- **Version** : always 1.0.0, "What's new: First version"; store page last updated 2026-08-10 and unchanged since (app_snap / Play store page). Running for this long without changing the build suggests the content and billing logic likely live server-side (H5), and the app is just a shell.

- **Ratings** : the library ratings field has always been empty, and the store page shows no rating. 80K installs with no visible rating means the reviews section is effectively blank (unverified whether reviews are hidden or nobody has left one).

- **In-app purchases** : $0.49 – $99.99 per item; no ads (ad_supported = False). Rated Mature 17+ (sibling apps from the same developer), though the privacy policy says it's only for 18+.

- **Self-contradictory listing** : the title is Video Call, but the one-line description reads "Online 1-on-1 voice chat—quick match, meet friends, talk now," a classic template copy-paste artifact.

### 2. Who makes it: a stack of shells under one developer account

- The developer "Bussell Games" sounds like a game studio, but it only publishes chat apps. The contact email is a personal gmail (busselldenis@gmail.com), with no website (Play store page, google play library app table).

- The same developer has at least two more apps on Play. All are the same 1v1 video chat, all have in-app purchases, all are Mature 17+, and all have **100K+ downloads** (Play store page, 2026-11-06 crawl):
    - **EchoHub - Global Chat & Calls** (com.alls.echohub), updated 2026-06-15. The privacy policy domain echohubchat.com is named after it, so it's the first-generation shell on this backend.
    - **Zeya: Live Talk & Easy Chat** (com.alls.oyeji.livetalkl.easychat), updated 2026-08-04; privacy policy at echohubchat.com/oyeji/.
    - **Yuno** , first released 2026-08-10; privacy policy at echohubchat.com/yuno/, body reads "Last Updated: January 16, 2026", 7 months before Yuno launched. It's a template carried over from the EchoHub era.

- AppBrain search snippet: "Bussell Games … currently has 3 apps on Google Play, is active since 2026, and has in total collected about 200 thousand installs" (appbrain.com/dev/Bussell+Games, via a Jina search snippet; the page itself is blocked by Cloudflare).

- Package names share the com.alls.* prefix, and apps are split by subpath under one privacy policy domain. This is the standard playbook of going-global social teams: one backend, multiple shell apps rotated through launches. When one package gets reported, demoted, or pulled, a new package takes over paid acquisition, and the user and creator pool stays shared on the server side.

- Our Google Play library only tracks Yuno (EchoHub and Zeya never charted on the charts we track).

### 3. Competitors: a lot of people are doing the same thing

1v1 paid video chat (stranger matching + creators charging per minute) is one of the most crowded categories in going-global social. Picking some from the Google Play library (2026-11-06 app_profile):

| Product | Platform | Launched | Scale (global installs in library / 7-day new installs) | How it differs from Yuno |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Chamet - Live Chat & Party | Android | 2019-11 | 78.4M / +178k; UAE overall Top Grossing #4 | Leading brand: live streaming + party rooms + 1v1, multi-country operations. Yuno is just a small single shell. |
| Azar | Android/iOS | 2013-10 | 293M / +237k | Hyperconnect (Match Group)'s licensed random video chat, with far more brand and compliance investment |
| OmeTV | Android / iOS / web | 2015-07 | 254M / +968k | Mainly free random matching, picking up traffic after Omegle shut down |
| Tango | Android/iOS | 2010-09 | 387M / +510k; Turkey Top Grossing #8 | A live-streaming gifting platform, on a different scale |
| Riff-Video Chat & Make Friends | Android | 2025-04 | 15.5M / +176k; Saudi Top Grossing #46 | Same shell playbook (individual developer Ethan Carter + sites.google.com privacy page), but already in the tens of millions |
| Deka - Video Calls&Match | Android | 2025-05 | 4.57M / +192k; charted in only 1 countries | Same playbook (individual developer THOMPSON SHANAE SALLY DORA, ENTERTAINMENT category) |
| Kito - Chat Video Call | Android | 2019-08 | 9.64M / +159k; Argentina Top Grossing #120 | Same kind of older shell, ENTERTAINMENT category |
| PyaarHai-Video Call& Chat | Android | 2024-11 | 14.7M / +144k; India Top Grossing #199 | Targets the Indian market |
| Cherry-Live video chat | Android | 2024-04 | 11.1M / +124k; Saudi Top Grossing #145 | Credited to a Hangzhou company, same type |
| Mici - Call & Meet | Android | 2025-10 | 2.09M / +216k | New shell of the same type |
| Live Idol / Santa Prank Video Call | Android | 2026-10 | 50–600k / +46–570k | Not real-person chat, it's a prank fake incoming video call, but it competes for the same "video call" search terms |

On Singapore's Entertainment Top Grossing chart, where Yuno sits, its neighbors are short drama (DramaWave, ReelShort, NetShort), streaming, and AI companion apps (Emochi, Chai, zeta). Real-person social apps on the same chart include Dino (#21), Wefun (#23), WePlay (#31), and StarRoom (#51) (Google Play library v_chart, 2026-11-06).

**Takeaway** : Compared with these, Yuno has no functional differentiation. It's the same play as Riff and Deka shells, and it's 1–2 orders of magnitude smaller (80k versus millions to tens of millions).

### 4. Where users come from

| Channel | Evidence | Confirmed? |
|---|---|---|
| Programmatic paid acquisition / ad network buys (AppLovin, Mintegral, Unity, or Google UAC run through an agency) | The install curve comes in pulses (3–6.5k on a single day, then back down to a few hundred). 0 ratings 0 reviews, and the version never updated, which doesn't look like organic word of mouth. Paid acquisition is the norm in this category, but none of our ad libraries found it. | Inferred, not confirmed |
| Google Ads Transparency Center | Googleads library watch entry 2026-11-02 checked, status no_ads; no advertiser under the Bussell Games name | Checked, nothing found |
| Meta Ad Library | No com.alls.* package names or echohubchat domains in the metaads library ad / app_link | Checked, nothing found (covers only the top of the list and keyword results) |
| TikTok ads (Europe only) | tiktokads adv_map status no_ads | Checked, nothing found (does not cover regions outside Europe) |
| Store search / ASO | Title stacks "Video Call Online", package name carries call.chat.live keywords; Play link carries utm_term=yuno+video+call+online+app (Google organic search) | Partial (keyword placement is confirmed, traffic share unknown) |
| TikTok / X / media / creators | TikHub search "yuno video call": 0 posts; x-radar 90 days 0 posts; web search only turns up auto-indexed pages like Softonic, the CNET download site, and AppBrain | Checked, none found |
| Old package migration / cross-matrix | EchoHub and Zeya, on the same backend, each have 100K+ users. The new shell can onboard or pull old users from the existing shells. | Inferred, not confirmed |

### 5. Why it can run at this scale

1. **High-ARPU category** : 1v1 video chat billed per minute in coins, in-app purchases up to $99.99; under 100k installs was enough to chart #70 on Singapore's overall grossing chart (googleplay library chart_rank 11-01~03 #65).

2. **Low bar on Singapore's grossing chart** : Yuno charted only in Singapore out of 30 stores; the rest weren't enough. Singapore's population is small, so the revenue needed for a mid-table rank is far lower than in the US, Saudi Arabia or Turkey, where the same category's top apps chart. So "climbing the charts" reflects a low chart bar more than high revenue. Whether the paying users are in Singapore is unverified.

3. **Mature backend + rotating shells** : EchoHub (first gen) → Zeya → Yuno share the echohubchat.com backend, and the privacy policy is a template 2026-01 wrote. Launching a new shell costs almost nothing; the user pool and host pool are shared.

4. **Staged paid acquisition** (inferred): the install curve is pulse-shaped, with no content or community footprint.

### VI. Differentiation

No product-level differentiation. The features (random matching, 1v1 video, coin in-app purchases), copy (templated, with title and description that contradict each other) and visuals are the same as dozens of other clone shells. The real "difference" is operational: one backend with several new packages rotated in, so each new package gets fresh traffic weight while account-ban risk is spread out. It runs because of that plus the category's ARPU, not because of differentiation.

### VII. Visibility and copycats

- **Visibility** : very few people know about it. No press coverage, 0 mentions on X, 0 TikTok videos, no disclosed revenue; the web only has auto-generated pages from download sites.

- **Copycats** : "being copied" doesn't really apply, since it is itself a copy of a template. Same-type shells (Riff, Deka, Mici, Kito and others) already crowd this niche, and the same developer has two earlier builds, EchoHub and Zeya.

### VIII. What to take from it

- A high-ARPU category (real-person interaction billed per minute) can surface on a small country's grossing chart with under 100k installs. When judging early paying signals, first discount for how low the chart bar is.

- One backend + multiple shells + a privacy policy split by subpath per app: a matrix structure. Packages are driven server-side, so they can be operated without shipping updates.

- A personal-name developer + gmail + version 1.0.0 never updated + no rating + a large in-app purchase range: this combination of signals basically marks this type of shell, and it can be filed under that category directly.

### 9. What I'm still unsure about

- Actual revenue, and which country it comes from (only visible on the Singapore chart; could be the billing country or the main user country).

- The specific acquisition channels (none of our three ad libraries covers them; likely an ad network or agency accounts).

- Who the company behind it is (no business registration found; whois for the package prefix com.alls and the echohubchat.com domain was not checked).

- Why it has 80k installs yet no visible rating (ratings may be hidden or cleaned up, or users may simply not be rating).
