"Enter any name, server code 0001": a Saudi IPTV player whose users all come from subscription sellers
What it is An Arabic IPTV player with no content of its own. After buying a subscription like Barq TV, users enter a "server code" to watch.
Why it took off It appears in the setup tutorials of the Saudi IPTV brand Barq TV and a batch of subscription shops, so every subscription sold brings in a user. It also gives each distributor a dedicated code and multi-device setup page, saving sellers the work.
CWhat you can take from it Don't build another Arabic player. What's worth taking is the "white-label entry point for channel partners" play: one code and one setup page per distributor, billed periodically, applied to compliant verticals (gyms, driving schools, training, agencies).
- Data (updated daily) · first launch 2026-08-07 · 11-07 installs 7,801
Android · Total installs worldwide Data 2026-10-29 → 2026-11-07 (10 days, 10 observations). Google's detail page only refreshes install counts every other day, so a flat day doesn't mean nobody installed.
Apex+ is an Arabic IPTV player with no channels of its own and no store ad spend. Three months after its Google Play launch it has 7,801 installs, and the iOS version ranks around #30 to #60 in Saudi's Entertainment Top Free chart. Almost all its users come from one place: setup tutorials that Saudi IPTV subscription sellers write for buyers. Below I explain how this channel works, where Apex+ ranks within it, and why the play is worth learning but not worth chasing.
The page you land on after buying
In Saudi Arabia, you pay 79 riyals for a year of Barq TV (برق تي في, one of the most common IPTV subscription brands locally), and the seller sends you a link, not an app. One is apex-stream.com/how-download/0001, titled "How to sign in to Barq TV". The page first asks you to pick a device: iPhone, Android phone, Android TV, Windows, Mac, or web / PS, six buttons in all. Tap iPhone and there are only four steps (11-06 open):
1. Download Apex+ from the button below. 2. Enter any name in the name field. 3. Enter your username and password. 4. In the "server number" field, enter this code: 0001
The Android TV tile says to first install Downloader, then enter a numeric code. One app is Apex, the other is Mountain Player. The seller has conveniently listed the alternatives too.
The reviews on the iOS store read like conversations between acquaintances. One from Oct 16, five stars:
"Legend Nasser, but please find a fix for the download problem". App Store, Saudi store, 10-16
"Nasser" is the name on the iOS developer account, NASIR ALZZAHRANI. Users address the developer by name, which suggests they found the app and the person through seller groups and tutorials rather than store search (inference).

Android grows by 50 to 170 installs a day, with no single spike over two months. Paid acquisition or chart gaming wouldn't produce this shape. It looks more like "one subscription sold, one user arrives." Saudi iPhone usage is high, and the iOS version sits in the dozens on the Entertainment chart, so the real volume is probably on iOS, and Android's 7,800 understates it (inference; iOS downloads aren't visible from outside).
The reason for 2.6 stars on iOS is spelled out in the reviews: "constant lag, and my internet is fast" (10-07, two stars), "can't download movies or series" (09-17, two stars), and a one-star review saying it was "made with AI, no programming experience at all" (10-17). Users are venting at the product, but they don't leave. They've already paid, and the tutorial says to install this.
Where users come from: the seller's setup tutorial
This is the only channel it can clearly explain, and the evidence is all online:
- Barq's official setup page how-barq.xyz lists Apex+ side by side with Barq Box, Var Player, NEXT+, and Mountain Player, with YouTube Shorts install demos.
- A Saudi digital subscription shop عابرين (3abryn.com) has Mac / Apple TV and Windows setup tutorials that specify "APEX+ (free)", and the Windows version links directly to an exe on apex-stream.com.
- Barq's resale network is large: iptvbarq.com (79 riyals per year), ayqnat.com (from 89 riyals), fmuae.com (105 dirhams per year), m7mstore.com and more, many built on Salla, a Saudi e-commerce platform. Each sale sends the buyer to one of these setup tutorials.
Organic store search is nearly zero. "Apex +" collides with a crowd of IPTV sellers named Apex and with the game Apex Legends, so it doesn't surface. Searches for "Apex+ iptv" and "apex plus تطبيق" on TikTok return no relevant videos, no one has mentioned it on X in the past 30 days (11-06), and no ads have been found. Resellers push subscriptions with Reels on Instagram, but they promote Barq, not the player.
Where the money comes from: most likely the seller pays
The store app is free with no in-app purchases. The clue is in the setup page URLs: /how-download/0001 is Barq TV. Swap the number for 0002, 0004, or 0005 and the page says "This distributor page has expired". 0003 and 0010 return "Distributor not found" (11-06 tested).
In other words, Apex+ has issued a dedicated code and setup page to several IPTV distributors, and these pages expire. The most plausible explanation is a periodic white-label license: the seller pays, gets a player carrying their own code plus a six-platform tutorial set, and if they stop paying, the page goes offline (inference; billing model and price unverified).
The things it does for sellers point the same way: users only enter a "server code", the seller's panel address is never shown to users or hardcoded in the store listing; one account works on phone, TV, computer, web, and PS, so a seller only needs one tutorial; the interface is Arabic with right-to-left layout. The store description repeatedly stresses "just a player, no content included", and the privacy page source contains a comment: "store reviewer may open this page". That page is written for the reviewers.
Who it's competing with
Barq's tutorial pages list several apps, and Apex+ isn't the biggest one:
| Product | Launched | Scale | Compared with Apex+ |
|---|---|---|---|
| NEXT+(com.code.next) | 2026-05-11 | 362k installs, +10,905 in the last 7 days (Google Play, 11-06) | The biggest in the same channel, three months earlier, with 46× Apex+'s installs and nearly the same model |
| Barq Box | iOS 2026-06-24 | 14 ratings on Saudi iOS, around #182 on the Entertainment chart | Barq's own player, ranked first in the tutorials |
| VAR Player | iOS 2024-06-23 | #10,462 by ratings on Saudi's Entertainment Top Free chart | The long-running "seller-designated player" on iOS |
| Mountain Player | Not verified | Not verified | The other Android TV option in Barq's tutorials |
| IPTV Smarters Pro, TiviMate | Years | Smarters 267k, TiviMate 5.35M installs | A generic player where users enter their own server address |
Sellers push three or five players at once, for a practical reason: IPTV players get pulled from the Apple and Google stores often. If one disappears, the tutorial swaps in the next. Apex+'s iOS and Android listings sit under two different developer names (one Saudi, one Egyptian-style), which also looks like spreading the ban risk (inference).
Saudi and European league seasons kick off in September, the peak season for IPTV subscriptions. It went live in August, right on time (inference).
If it were you
Verdict: C. There's a useful distribution idea to learn here, but copying it isn't worth it.
- What's worth learning: turn a free tool into a reseller's "white-label entry point" with a code per distributor, one activation page for multiple devices, and codes that expire. Users come through the reseller, you get paid by the reseller, and you spend nothing on ads. The model holds up in compliant settings too, e.g. selling a "designated app" to gyms, driving schools, training centers, or local SaaS agencies.
- Who it suits: people who can close deals directly with a batch of small sellers, can ship across multiple platforms (phone, TV, PC, web), and can get through app store review.
- Who it doesn't suit: anyone counting on store organic traffic or content marketing to get going. This path has no organic traffic. It's also not for anyone unwilling to work in a copyright gray area.
- How to do it: if you insist on this niche, don't build "yet another Arabic player." Go after IPTV sellers in languages and regions that NEXT+, Barq Box and others don't cover yet. Land a spot in a big brand's tutorial first, then charge licensing fees per code.
- How to get customers: you're not acquiring users, you're acquiring sellers. The line "download from the button below" in the activation tutorial is your ad slot.
- When it has to happen: get into sellers' tutorials before the next season's subscription peak (8 to September). Any later and you're stuck as the fourth or fifth backup.
- What would mean you got it wrong: if Apex+'s iOS and Android versions are removed within a few months, or the distributor pages expire one by one with no new codes appearing, the "sell to sellers" business isn't holding up, and only Barq's own player will survive.
Why it's not higher: it's tied to a single IPTV brand, and content licensing or store removals could cut the whole line at any time. In the same channel NEXT+ already has 360k installs, and the brand's own player ranks ahead of it. And the ticket that gets it going, a spot in the tutorial, rests on relationships with sellers that outsiders can't get.

Why Apex+ (com.apexcloud.app) got traction
Research day 2026-11-06. Data from our googleplay / appstore libraries ("the library" below), AppstoreSpy's estimated listing history (library table app_day_ext), and the web pages (links in the body).
One line
Apex+ is an Arabic-first IPTV "empty shell player" that carries no content of its own and doesn't buy paid acquisition in the stores. It gets users through Saudi leading IPTV brand Barq TV (برق تي في) and a batch of Saudi subscription shops (عابرين 3abryn and others) whose download buttons sit in their activation tutorials. Once a user buys a subscription, the tutorial tells them which player to install, so its installs are effectively the subscriptions IPTV sellers sell, not organic store traffic. Its difference from peers is a seller-facing design: "server code + distributor-exclusive activation page + one setup across six platforms." The real moat is the channel, not the product.
1. Basic data
- Google Play: listed 2026-08-07, developer ABDALLA ELARABY (developer email [email protected]; this is the only app in the library under that name); cumulative installs 7,801,7 days +1,385 (library app_profile, 2026-11-06); no ratings. Only on the Saudi VIDEO_PLAYERS Top Free chart, rank #147.
- Install curve (AppstoreSpy estimate + library): 09-10 about 1,002 → 09-24 2,828 → 10-08 4,323 → 10-31 6,416 → 11-06 7,801. Daily adds stayed between 50 and 170 the whole time, with no sudden spike on any day. That fits linear growth of "one subscription sale, one new user," not paid acquisition or chart-pushing.
- iOS (id6797098667): the developer account is NASIR ALZZAHRANI (a Saudi name), not the same person as the Egyptian-style name on Android; listed 2026-08-11. In the library, from 10-28 on the Saudi store's Entertainment Top Free chart it sat between #30 and #63 (peak #11-06 63), with 18 ratings; Oman 60, Bahrain 113. Saudi iPhone share is high, so iOS is probably its main channel, and the 7.8k Android installs understate it.
- Multi-platform: Android, Android TV (sideloaded with Downloader codes 5890868 / 7206983), iOS, Windows (apex-stream.com/apps/windows/apex.exe), Mac, and the web app web.apex-stream.com (PS / Sony TVs use the web version).
2. Competitors
It doesn't sit in a "player market" but a "seller-designated player" market. Below are several players listed side by side in the same Barq activation tutorial, plus general IPTV players:
| Product | Platform | Launched | Scale (source) | How it differs from Apex+ |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Barq Box(com.barqtv.android / iOS id6782296407) | Android / iOS / Win / Mac | iOS 2026-06-24, Android 2026-07 | iOS Saudi store 14 rating, entertainment chart about 182 (library); not in the Android library | Barq's own player of the same name, listed first in the tutorial; Apex+ is a third-party backup and filler |
| NEXT+(com.code.next) | Android | 2026-05-11 | 362,232 installs, 7 days +10,905, UAE VIDEO_PLAYERS 69 (library) | The largest in this channel, launched 3 months earlier, with 46 times Apex+'s installs |
| Mountain Player(com.mountain.app) | Android / Android TV | Not verified | Not in the library | The other Android TV option in Barq's tutorial |
| VAR Player(iOS id6477530321) | iOS | 2024-06-23 | Saudi Entertainment Top Free rank #10,462 rating (library) | The established iOS "seller-designated player," consistently near the top of the Saudi Entertainment chart |
| Stream House / 0Player / Duplecast | Apple TV / LG·Samsung | — | Not verified | Covers big-screen systems Apex+ doesn't; the m7mstore Barq tutorial uses Duplecast + server code 0001 |
| IPTV Smarters Pro, TiviMate, XP IPTV, Televizo and others | Android / all platforms | Years | Smarters IPTV Pro 267k installs, #24 in Saudi VIDEO_PLAYERS; TiviMate 5.35M (library) | Generic Xtream / M3U players where users enter their own server address; Apex+ only asks for a "server code" |
Bottom line: competitors are plentiful, and a single seller may push 3–5 players at once. Apex+ isn't a category leader, just one of the names on the seller's "recommended list."
3. Where users came from (growth tactics)
- IPTV seller activation tutorials (confirmed):
- apex-stream.com/how-download/0001 is Apex+'s self-hosted "how to log into Barq TV" activation page, covering iOS / Android / Android TV / Windows / Mac / web; server code 0001 = Barq TV.
- how-barq.xyz (Barq's official activation page) lists Apex+ alongside Barq Box, Var Player, NEXT+ and Mountain Player, and includes a YouTube Shorts installation demo.
- 3abryn.com/blog (عابرين, a Saudi digital subscription shop): its Mac / Apple TV and Windows activation tutorials specify "APEX+ (free)," and the Windows section links directly to the exe on apex-stream.com.
- Barq TV's reseller network is large: iptvbarq.com (annual fee 79 SAR), ayqnat.com (from 89 SAR), fmuae.com (105 AED / year), itsbarqtvstore.com, m7mstore.com, queob.com, aldeeb-code.com and more. These are built on Saudi e-commerce platforms like Salla, and every sale sends the buyer to the activation tutorial.
- The "distributor code" mechanism (confirmed; how money changes hands unverified): apex-stream.com/how-download/<code> is a page split by distributor. 0001 works; 0002, 0004 and 0005 return "This distributor page has expired"; 0003 and 0010 return "Distributor not found." This means Apex+ issued exclusive codes and activation pages to multiple IPTV distributors, and those pages expire, much like a per-period or renewal B2B license. The app is free in the store with no in-app purchases (library iap_range is empty), so the money most likely comes from distributors, not end users (inference, unverified).
- Organic store search: essentially none. The name "Apex +" collides with plenty of Apex IPTV sellers and Apex Legends, so it doesn't surface. Android has zero ratings, and its #147 on the Saudi video player chart was driven by subscribers installing it.
- Social and ads: a TikTok search for "Apex+ iptv" and "apex plus تطبيق" returned no related videos (TikHub, 11-06); X (x-radar, last 30 days) returned zero results; no ads found. Barq TV's resellers run Reels on Instagram promoting subscriptions, but none promote Apex+.
4. Why it took off
- Riding a large existing paid subscription pool: Barq TV is one of Saudi Arabia's most common IPTV subscription brands, with dozens of resellers selling annual plans for 79–105 SAR/AED. Apex+ doesn't have to find users itself, it just has to get on the sellers' recommended lists.
- Sellers want several players on hand: IPTV players get pulled from the Apple and Google stores often. Sellers' tutorials list 3–5 players at once (Barq Box, Apex+, Var Player, NEXT+, Mountain). If one is removed, users switch to another right away. Apex+ runs separate developer accounts for iOS and Android (NASIR ALZZAHRANI / ABDALLA ELARABY), which also looks like spreading the ban risk. This one is inference.
- The product makes life easy for sellers: users don't enter a server address, just a "server code," so the seller's panel address is never exposed to users or hardcoded in the store listing. One account covers phone, TV, PC, web and PS; the interface is in Arabic with right-to-left layout. The store description and privacy page say it's "just a player, no content included," and the privacy page source has a comment, "store reviewer may open this page," showing it was built to pass review.
- Timing: 2026/27 Saudi league and European league seasons kick off, and September onward is peak IPTV subscription season. It launched in August, right before the rush (inferred).
5. Differentiation
Compared with general players (Smarters, TiviMate): it adds a layer of "server code / distributor activation page" where users just enter a code to get going, sellers don't expose their server address, and one brand covers 6 platforms. Compared with Barq Box and NEXT+ in the same channel: almost no difference. All are Arabic-language, Xtream-style logins, server codes. So the differentiation is a tool for distributors, not an experience for end users. It gets traction mainly from being on Barq's recommendation list; the product itself is a secondary reason.
6. How many people see it
Few people know about it yet: no media coverage, zero discussion on X or TikTok, revenue not public, 7.8k Android installs, zero ratings. But the "player for Saudi IPTV sellers" niche it sits in is already crowded (NEXT+ has 360k installs, VAR Player ranks in the top 10 on Saudi entertainment charts). No product copying Apex+ specifically was found.
7. Takeaways
- Turn a consumer-facing free tool into a "white-label entry point" for B2B channel sellers: issue codes to each distributor, provide activation pages, and let them expire. Distribution and payment both sit with the distributors, so no paid acquisition is needed.
- One codebase plus a web version covers every screen, exactly what sellers need when writing tutorials ("this one works on any device").
- Risks: grey-market IPTV can be taken down at any time, and rights holders may pursue it; how big it can get depends on how long the bound IPTV brand lasts. Not something to treat as a replicable legitimate business.
8. Still uncertain
- How distributors pay and how much, the only indirect evidence is that "the page expires."
- The real iOS download count (ranked 30–63 on the Saudi entertainment chart, estimated at several hundred downloads a day, unverified).
- Whether the two developer accounts belong to one team, or an Android developer doing outsourced white-label work for Saudi sellers.
- Besides Barq and 3abryn, which other distributors use it (who are 0002 / 0004 / 0005).
