> Indonesia's entertainment Top Grossing chart has a low bar, and with in-app gold coin purchases up to $149.99, 10k extra installs is enough to chart. What's really working is the shell-account matrix behind it: cloned code and descriptions, batch uploads across multiple accounts, each package pushed for a burst and then swapped out.

# "Response rate 100%": Aura and 27 chat-companion sock puppets under one Hong Kong account

**What it is** A 1v1 stranger-chat app where male users buy coins to chat with and send gifts to "girls." It mainly makes money in Indonesia, and it's one of dozens of sock-puppet apps built from the same template.

**Why it took off** Indonesia's entertainment Top Grossing chart has a low bar, and with in-app purchases of up to $149.99 in coins, 10k installs is enough to chart. What's actually driving it is the sock-puppet network behind it: copying code and listing copy, batch-uploading multiple accounts, and swapping out any package once its run is over.

**C** **How you could follow** Don't make the 28th sock puppet. Take the playbook: pick countries and categories with low Top Grossing bars, use high-denomination in-app purchases to lift ARPU, and output multiple packages from one back end. If you really want to get into this category, go after the AI-companion side and skip the live-human supply.

C grade: the money sits in host-agency networks and multi-account ban reserves, which independent developers can't access. Indonesia's category is already packed with players two orders of magnitude larger, such as Tacoo and Chamet, plus piles of sock-puppet apps, and it runs into Play policy issues. The playbook can be studied, but following it isn't worth it. Very few people know about it yet

Data (updated daily) · first launch 2026-10-11 · 11-07 installs 13,712

Android · Total installs worldwide

Data 2026-10-29 → 2026-11-07 (10 days, 10 observations). Google's detail page only refreshes install counts every other day, so a flat day doesn't mean nobody installed.

In Oct 11, a stranger-chat app called Aura listed on Google Play and, within a month, charted on Indonesia's entertainment Top Grossing. It has no ratings, and estimated monthly revenue is under $5,000, so the app itself isn't worth much. What's worth dissecting is the playbook behind it: one copy-pasted listing, one shared website, and the same template batch-uploaded under at least 6 developer accounts, with each package swapped out as it fades.

### One listing description, word-for-word identical across 27 apps

The Aura store listing description opens like this:

> In life, many people don't know how to make friends, especially in face-to-face social occasions… 【Response rate 100%】Don't be afraid of being left out, don't be afraid that no one will care about you! (「生活中很多人不会交朋友……【回复率 100%】别怕被冷落,别怕没人理你!」) ——Aura,Google Play 商店页,11-06

The one-line tagline is "Chat, And meet new strangers in Aura." Swap Aura for HiGirls, WannaGirls, YearnGirls, DuskGirls, or SoftGirls, and you'll find the identical page on Play. The developer, HaBiBi LTD (the legal entity registered on Play is HABIBI TRADING CO., LIMITED, incorporated in Hong Kong in 2015), has 27 of these packages under its name, and AppGazers' developer page lists them all. The package names all follow `com.<name>.live`.

In plain terms: male users buy coins to chat with "girls" by text, voice, or video, and to send gifts. The store page shows 17+ downloads and contains in-app purchases, with individual items priced from $0.49 to $149.99. "Response rate 100%" is the product: a guarantee that someone will reply to you.

### 13k installs, 0 ratings

| Timeline | Total installs | Sources |
|---|---|---|
| 10-17 | About 1,030 | AppstoreSpy estimate |
| 10-29 | 8,270 | Google Play installs |
| 11-02 | 12,004 | Google Play installs |
| 11-06 | 13,712 | Google Play installs, past 7 days +5,442 |

The curve is stair-stepped: it jumps every two or three days, 700 to 1,900 at a time. It has charted only once, Indonesia · Entertainment · Top Grossing, 10-29 at #185, 11-02 at #150, 11-06 at #165.

Two numbers side by side tell the story. First, 13k installs and 0 ratings (AppBrain also shows "0 reviews"). An app that gets discovered through store search at that scale would have at least dozens of ratings. Having this few suggests users were sent straight to the download page from outside channels (inference). Second, 13k installs is enough to chart on Top Grossing, because that chart's bar is low: on the same day, #159 Likichat had 960k installs, and #166 LoveyDovey had 2.15M. AppGazers estimates Aura earned under $5,000 in the last 30 days. Charting means someone is paying, not that the money is big.

A few more details: the version number was already 2.3.2 less than a month after launch, which suggests the code was copied over from an older package. The update timestamps are in UTC+8, and the description uses full-width Chinese brackets 【】, plus a Hong Kong company and a UK phone number. Most likely a Chinese-speaking team going global (inference).

### The money is in the matrix, not in Aura

Looked at alone, Aura is a small app. Look at the whole account and it changes. AppGazers estimates that HaBiBi LTD's 27 apps together bring in roughly $30k to $22k over 229 days, with the two biggest, HiGirls and WannaGirls, each at $10k to $50k a month.

And it's not just this one account. The website zago.live opens to the landing page for "MirageGirls App." Mirage Girls is registered to another developer, Chez Charlie, and its privacy policy is also hosted on zago.live. Two accounts sharing one website basically means the same people. The same description also appears under Siriwa Tech (HotHub, LustGirls), Develepo LLC (CharmGirls, YGirls), Logicwerkz Solusi Digital (NowHub), and ENOY SOFT (GadooGirls). Whether these are the same team running multiple accounts or buyers of the same source code, we can't tell from the outside.

Why open so many accounts and publish so many apps? Look at Mirage Girls: 68k installs in total, but only 30 in the last 940 days (AppBrain). Each app has a lifespan, and that's one wave. HaBiBi went live in 2026 7, then in August shipped BlissGirls, EnchantGirls, GlowGirls, SoftGirls, VibeGirls and DuskGirls in one go, and in October switched to names without "Girls" with Aura. The rename may be to get past Google Play's review of sexually suggestive names (unverified).

### Where users come from

| Channel | What's visible | How sure are we? |
|---|---|---|
| Multi-account shell matrix | 27 same-template apps + at least 5 other accounts using the same template | Confirmed |
| Keeping things alive by swapping apps | Mirage Girls is in decline; 7–August batch launches, then Aura in October | Model confirmed |
| Off-store push / paid acquisition | 13k installs and 0 ratings, unlike organic store traffic; not found in public ad libraries | Inferred |
| Indonesian host agency network | Claims say Aura's agent invite codes are circulating on Facebook / TikTok; we couldn't find the original posts. But Indonesia is full of "Host Chat App, reply from home, paid weekly" job posts. That's how supply works for this whole category. | Aura itself unverified |
| Name borrowing | Google Play has an older, same-named app, "Aura – Video Chat & Meetup," with 15.8M installs | Inferred |

Searches for "HiGirls" and "HaBiBi LTD" on X turned up no discussion, and we found no promo videos on TikTok. Almost nobody knows it exists.

### Who it's competing with

It has no competitors of its own; it's a small shell in a sea of competitors. Indonesia is one of the most crowded paid-chat markets, at 1v1:

| Product | Scale (Google Play, 11-06) | Compared with Aura |
|---|---|---|
| MiChat | 137M installs, #4 in Indonesia Communication Top Grossing | Real social IM, the Indonesian mainstream |
| Tacoo, Siso, Koko, Cici and others | 1M to 2M installs each, adding tens of thousands to over a hundred thousand new installs over 7 days | Same business, single apps two orders of magnitude bigger, and also a shell matrix |
| Chamet, Poppo, Hiyaa, Yaar | tens of millions | The head of the category, backed by huge host agency networks |
| WHIF, Mira, Afizzy | 320k to 1.6M, all in the top 150 of Indonesia Entertainment Top Grossing | Replacing the human side with AI |

### If it were you

**C: Learn the playbook, but don't chase it.** The business is real, but the money is in supply and operations, not the app, and indie developers have no edge there.

**Who it fits:** teams that already run live streaming or 1v1 companion chat in Southeast Asia or the Middle East, and already have host agency resources and multiple developer accounts. For them, this is just another batch of apps in another market.

**Who it doesn't fit:** solo developers and small teams who only know how to build apps. You won't have access to this business's real costs: a team of "chat staff" paid weekly and available to reply at any time, plus a stockpile of accounts that can keep shipping apps after bans. One more thing to think through: marketing like "100% reply rate" and sexually suggestive naming run straight into Google Play's policies on deceptive promotion and repetitive apps. Bans are the norm, which is why they open dozens of apps.

**If you want to borrow from it, take these three moves:**

1. Pick categories by country where the bar to chart is low. Entertainment on the Indonesian Top Grossing chart needs only 10k-ish installs to get on, so a new app is easier to spot there than in the US store.

2. Use high-priced in-app purchases to lift ARPU. A ¥149.99 tier lets a small number of paying users carry the revenue.

3. One backend, many frontends. Swap the name, icon and screenshots and you have a new app. When one declines, replace it. Short lifespans per app don't matter.

**If you really want to build in this category:** don't be the 28th shell. Go to the AI side. WHIF and Mira have already shown that Indonesian male users will pay for AI companions. AI needs no hiring and no weekly payouts, and a "100% reply rate" is actually true. For acquisition, follow the category's old playbook: small-country top charts plus off-store ads.

**Misread:** ① Aura's installs passed 100k by the end of 2026, and its rating went up too. So a single app can get big on its own, not only through a portfolio. ② HaBiBi LTD's apps were mass-pulled from Play at the end of the year, so this path's window is closing. ③ AI companion apps keep climbing in number and rank on the Indonesia Entertainment Top Grossing chart. Human companion apps in disguise will get squeezed out first, so the AI route is the right one.

Competitors

| Name | Where | Launched | Scale | How it differs from this one |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| HiGirls / WannaGirls and other sibling shells | Android | Launched in batches starting 2025-10 | HiGirls and WannaGirls each 50k+ installs, est. $10k–50k/month (AppGazers) | Same code and same description, with only the name and icon changed |
| Mirage Girls / SoulHer(Chez Charlie) | Android | 2026-03 | Mirage 68k, SoulHer 113k | Another developer account from the same team (sharing zago.live), already past its peak |
| MiChat | Android | Years | 137M installs, #4 in Indonesia Communication Top Grossing | Real social IM with real social connections |
| Tacoo / Siso / Likichat / Koko / Cici | Android | 2025-06 ~ 2026-08 | 960k–1.98M installs each, +7k to +190k over 7 days | Same category, 1v1 video chat, with single apps two orders of magnitude bigger |
| Aura – Video Chat & Meetup(Aurora APP) | Android | 2019-12 | 15.8M installs | Same-named veteran 1v1 video chat app; HaBiBi's Aura may be riding its name |
| Chamet / Poppo / Hiyaa / Yaar | Android | Years | tens of millions | Head players with huge host agency networks and brands |
| WHIF / Mira / Afizzy and other AI companions | Android | 2025–2026 | 320k–1.6M, all in the top 150 of Indonesia Entertainment Top Grossing | Replacing the human side with AI |

Where users come from

- **Confirmed** **multi-developer-account shell matrix** : HaBiBi LTD has 27 same-template apps (AppGazers); the same description also appears under 5 other accounts; HaBiBi and Chez Charlie share the website zago.live

- **Confirmed** **keeping things alive by swapping apps** : Mirage Girls has 68k total installs but only 30 in the last 940 days; 2026-07/08 batch launches, then Aura in October; version number was already 2.3.x within a month of launch (AppBrain, app_snap)

- Inference **off-store push / paid acquisition** : 13k installs with 0 ratings doesn't look like organic store traffic; our ad library doesn't track it (it's not on our watchlist)

- Inference **Indonesian host agency network (Kode Agensi)** : a recalled card says agent code q578 is circulating; we couldn't verify it independently. At the category level, Indonesia is full of "Host Chat App, paid weekly" job posts

- Inference **name borrowing** : shares its name with the veteran "Aura – Video Chat & Meetup" app, which has 15.8M installs

## How Aura (com.aura.live) got traction

> Google Play · HaBiBi LTD (the legal entity listed on Play is HABIBI TRADING CO., LIMITED, Hong Kong) · launched 2026-10-11 · Entertainment · 17+ · today 2026-11-06

### Bottom line

Aura is not a "homegrown product." It's **another shell app** from a "real-person companionship / 1v1 paid chat" workshop: the same template (identical English blurb, same support email, same website zago.live) is already registered under HaBiBi LTD for 27 apps, and each of at least 5 other developer accounts, including Chez Charlie, Siriwa Tech, Develepo LLC, Logicwerkz Solusi Digital, and ENOY SOFT, has its own batch. Each shell app pushes installs right after launch and tries to recoup costs through high-ticket in-app coin purchases ($0.49–$149.99). After a while it fades, and a new one replaces it. Aura is just one in this round; we surfaced it because the bar for Indonesia's Entertainment top-grossing chart is low, and at 13k installs it reached #165.

### 1. Data: how big it actually is

| Metric | Value | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Total installs | 13,712 (11-06); 10-29 is 8,270 | googleplay library app_day |
| New in the last 7 days | +5,442 | Google Play library app_profile |
| install curve since launch | 10-17 only 1,030; 10-21 +2,169 in one day; 10-29 to 8,270; after that, jumps of 700–1,900 every two or three days | AppstoreSpy estimate (app_day_ext) |
| Charts | Only charted once: **Indonesia · Entertainment · Top Grossing** , 10-29 #185 → 11-02 #150 → 11-06 #165 | googleplay library chart_rank |
| Countries charted | 1 (Indonesia) | Same as above |
| Rating / reviews | 0 ratings, 0 reviews (AppBrain also lists "0 reviews") | app_snap;appbrain.com/app/aura/com.aura.live |
| Version | 2.3.1 → 2.3.2 (11-02 updates); less than a month after launch the version is already 2.x, which suggests the code was lifted straight from an older package | app_snap |
| Package size | 124.8 MB, 54 permissions | AppBrain |
| Revenue estimate | AppGazers estimates < $5K/30 days (10-02 to 11-01) | appgazers.com/reports/developers/android-HaBiBi+LTD |

A few signals worth noting:

- **13k installs, 0 ratings** . An app getting normal store traffic at that scale would have at least dozens of ratings. No ratings suggests most users didn't find it by searching or browsing the store, but were pushed to the download page from off-store channels (or paid right after installing and never went back to the store). This is inference, not direct evidence.

- **Update timestamps are +08:00** (10-26 13:52, 11-02 10:28). The blurb uses full-width Chinese brackets 【】, the company is registered in Hong Kong, and it lists a UK phone number (+44). The team is most likely a Chinese-speaking outbound team. This is inference.

- **The bar on Indonesia's Entertainment Top Grossing chart is low** . The same day, #159 on that chart was Likichat (960k installs) and #166 was LoveyDovey (2.15M installs). Aura sitting mid-chart only shows people in Indonesia are paying for it, not that the revenue is big; AppGazers gives < $5K/month.

### 2. Competitors: who else does the same thing

This category is "1v1 chat with strangers / video calls, where men buy coins and women on the other end are hosts or chat staff recruited by agencies and paid weekly." Indonesia is one of the most crowded markets for it.

**(a) Shells with the same template (its real peers)**

| Developer account | Package | Scale | Source |
|---|---|---|---|
| HaBiBi LTD | HiGirls, WannaGirls, YearnGirls (including 4 variants: Pro/Lite/Turbo/Live), SoulHer Live/Lite, WannaHub, NeedHub, AloneGirls, DuskGirls, SparkGirls, GlowGirls, VibeGirls, SoftGirls, EnchantGirls, BlissGirls, VocalHub, RealHub, Aura… 27 in total | Combined estimates: 86k–490k downloads and $22k–229k revenue / 30 days. The largest, HiGirls, is estimated at $11k–55k/month; WannaGirls at $10k–49k/month. | AppGazers developer page; Play listing "More by HaBiBi LTD" |
| Chez Charlie | Mirage Girls (same website, zago.live, with the privacy policy at zago.live/policy.html), SoulHer (113k downloads), RealGirls, EagerGirls, Lumina, NeedGirls, HerMeet | Mirage Girls has 68k cumulative installs, but only 30 in the last 940 days (already faded) | AppBrain;chrome-stats;apkcombo |
| Siriwa Tech | HotHub, LustGirls (2026-06 listed) | Not verified | AppBrain |
| Develepo LLC | CharmGirls (2026-07), YGirls (2026-08) | Not verified | AppBrain |
| Logicwerkz Solusi Digital | NowHub | 5K+ | apppage.net |
| ENOY SOFT | GadooGirls | 3.8K+ | apppage.net;apkcombo |

These packages have identical blurbs word for word ("In life, many people don't know how to make friends…【Response rate 100%】…"), the one-line blurb is always "Chat, And meet new strangers in XXX," and the package names all follow `com.<name>.live`. HaBiBi LTD and Chez Charlie share the website zago.live, so it's safe to conclude one group is running several developer accounts. Whether the other companies are the same group or bought the same source code, we couldn't determine.

Timeline (AppBrain): HaBiBi LTD became active in October of year 2025; from 2026 to August of year 7 it batch-released BlissGirls, EnchantGirls, GlowGirls, SoftGirls, VibeGirls and DuskGirls; in year 2026-10 it switched to names without "Girls" (Aura, and Lumina at Chez Charlie). The name change may be an attempt to get past Google Play review for names with sexual overtones; not verified.

**(b) Legitimate same-chart competitors in Indonesia (all much bigger)**

| Product | Launched | Scale (googleplay library, 11-06) | How it differs from Aura |
|---|---|---|---|
| MiChat(MICHAT PTE.) | Long-established | 137M installs, #4 in Indonesia Communication Top Grossing | A real social IM with nearby people, the mainstream in Indonesia |
| Tacoo – Video Call Langsung | 2026-06 | 1.98M, 7 days +94k | A similar 1v1 video product, but two orders of magnitude larger |
| Siso – Chat Video | 2025-06 | 1.16M, 7 days +96k | Same as above, a local Indonesian company shell |
| Likichat | 2025-10 | 960k installs, #159 on Indonesia Entertainment Top Grossing | Chart neighbor, 70x the volume |
| Koko, Cici, Meli, Suka, Tello, Vega | 2026-04 ~ 08 | All 1M+, 7 days +70k ~ +190k | Also a matrix of shells run from personal Gmail developer accounts, but each package is built to a much larger scale |
| Aura – Video Chat & Meetup(Aurora APP,com.fancyu.videochat.love) | 2019-12 | 15.8M installs | **Same name** as the long-running 1v1 video chat app; HaBiBi may have picked "Aura" to ride its search traffic (not verified) |
| Chamet, Poppo, Hiyaa, Yaar, etc. | Years | tens of millions | Backed by huge host-agency networks; the head of this category |
| AI companion apps (WHIF 1.6M, Mira 320k, Afizzy 1.33M) | 2025–2026 | Top Grossing in Indonesia's Entertainment category, top 150 | Replacing the real-person side with AI is this category's substitute |

Bottom line: **It has no peers of its own; it's just a small shell in a sea of competitors.**

### 3. Growth levers: where users come from

| Channel | Evidence | Confirmed? |
|---|---|---|
| Multi-shell / multi-developer-account matrix | HaBiBi LTD has 27 packages on the same template; at least 5 more developer accounts use the same template, and Chez Charlie shares the website zago.live with it | Confirmed |
| Keeping revenue alive by rotating packages (one package gets a push, then the next one replaces it) | Mirage Girls: 68k cumulative, only 30 left in the last 940 days; HaBiBi batch-released from 7 to August, then added Aura in October; Aura was already on version 2.3.x a month after launch | Confirmed (pattern), reasons are inference |
| Off-store push / paid acquisition (not relying on organic store traffic) | 13k installs, 0 ratings; none of our Meta / Google / TikTok (Europe) ad libraries show it (it isn't on our tracking list, so no results doesn't mean it isn't being advertised) | Inferred, unverified |
| Indonesian host-agency network (Kode Agensi) | The recall card mentions "Aura agency codes q578 circulating on Facebook/TikTok." I couldn't find this with Jina, Exa, Brave or TikHub. But Indonesia is full of "Host Chat App, chat from home, paid weekly" job posts (lokerjogja.id, Threads, etc.), which is the supply-side play for the whole category. | **Aura itself not verified** ; category-level confirmed |
| Name borrowing | Same-name veteran app "Aura – Video Chat & Meetup" has 15.8M installs | Inferred |
| Creators / media / X / Reddit | On X, searching the local corpus for "HiGirls" and "HaBiBi LTD" returned 0 posts; searching TikTok for related terms turned up no promo videos | None found |

Where the money comes from: men buy coins ($0.49 to $149.99 per purchase) to chat, video-call or send gifts to "girls." The "Response rate 100%" in the blurb is the selling point: it promises someone will reply, and the reply comes from a real person (or a script) recruited by an agency and paid per message or per minute. Each paying user can bring in a lot, so 10k installs is enough to get onto Indonesia's Top Grossing chart.

### 4. Why it charted

1. **It didn't break out; the low-bar chart just noticed it** : #165 on Indonesia's Entertainment Top Grossing, estimated revenue < $5K/month (AppGazers).

2. **The matrix is what's running, not any single package** : HaBiBi LTD's 27 packages combined are estimated at $22k–229k/30 days; HiGirls and WannaGirls, the two biggest, are each $10k–50k/month (AppGazers). Aura is the latest one added.

3. **High-ARPU payment structure** : top coin IAP at $149.99, and men pay to "make sure someone replies," so a small install base can still reach the top grossing chart.

4. **Reused code and supply** : a month after launch the version is already 2.3.x, the blurb is copied word for word, and the website is shared. A new package costs almost nothing, so they can keep rotating them.

### 5. Differentiation

**No product-level differentiation.** Compared with the dozens of shells on the same template, it has only a new name, icon and screenshots. Compared with same-category products like Tacoo, Siso and MiChat, it's much smaller and has no ratings or community. Its only "difference" is a neutral name without "Girls" (which shares a name with the veteran 1v1 app). Whatever revenue it makes comes from the **operating model** (a shell matrix plus paid chat supply), not from product differentiation.

### 6. How many people saw it / did anyone copy it

- **Almost nobody knows about it** : no media coverage, 0 posts on X, no promo videos found on TikTok, no public revenue figures. It only shows up on data sites like AppGazers and AppBrain, which auto-generate pages.

- **Copycats** : the template itself is copied around. The same store description shows up on at least 6 developer accounts. Hard to tell whether one group runs several accounts or someone is selling the source code.

### 7. What others can borrow

- If you're thinking of building something, the thing worth studying is **the model** , not Aura: one backend plus one UI, mass-create developer accounts, ship multiple white-label apps; pick chart categories by country where the bar is low (Indonesian entertainment only needs 10k installs to chart); raise ARPU with high-denomination coin IAPs and real-person supply; when an app gets pulled or fades, relaunch under a new name.

- Be clear about the risks too: these apps run into Google Play policies on sexually suggestive content, deceptive claims ("100% reply rate") and repetitive content / spam apps. Account bans are routine, which is why they run many accounts. The supply side depends on proxy networks. This is an operations and compliance game, not product skill. I wouldn't treat it as a product opportunity.

### 8. Still unclear

- The recall card's "referral code q578" and the "Facebook/TikTok hiring chat hosts" posts point to Aura specifically, but I couldn't verify that independently.

- Which channel users actually come from (Meta paid acquisition, referral pushes, or Play search piggybacking) — there's no direct evidence.

- Whether the other developer accounts (Siriwa Tech, Develepo LLC, Logicwerkz, ENOY SOFT) and HaBiBi are the same group.

- Whether the "replies to you" come from real hosts or scripts / AI — there are no comment samples to judge from.

- AppGazers' revenue numbers are model estimates, and the 80% range is very wide.
