"If you don't believe in coincidences, click the link in my bio": a Spanish-speaking spiritual creator took 1M followers into her own "awakening Duolingo"
What it is: a Spanish-language self-awareness app. Users answer a few self-reflection questions each day, earn flame streaks, compete in leagues for rank, and sell an annual plan at $119.99.
Why it took off: the creator already had 100 million+ Spanish-speaking spiritual followers. He posted "click the link in bio" from his own account and from a faceless matrix of accounts, then used a founding-member countdown and referral commissions to turn followers into paying users and sellers.
CHow you could follow it: don't copy this product. Find a creator with a vertical audience who already sells books and courses, partner with them, turn their content into a gamified daily subscription, add a founding-member price and a one-tier referral commission. Acquisition relies entirely on the creator's account and automated DMs.

DUNITY is a Spanish-language app that calls itself the "Duolingo of consciousness awakening." Users answer a few self-examination questions each day, build streaks, and compete for rank in leagues. Its builder is Sebastián Sann, a Spanish-speaking spiritual creator with 100 million+ followers on TikTok and Instagram. It launched in 2026 July, and by 11-06 Google Play had 72.6k installs, almost all from outside the store. Below: what it is, where the traffic came from, how it charges, why you probably can't copy it, and which tactic is worth taking.
One 340k-view video and a faceless account
In 2026 Oct 27, an account on TikTok called @comofuncionalamatrix ("how the matrix works") posted a video with a single caption line: "si no crees en las casualidades, ve al enlace de mi biografía…" (If you don't believe in coincidences, go to the link in my bio…). The video got 340k views (TikTok, 11-06). The comments were about "manifesting" and Neville Goddard. Someone wrote "I want a big house with a pool, it's already done," and someone else saw through it immediately: "Ya cuando dijiste app la cagaste amigo" (The moment you said app, you blew it, buddy).
Over the next four days the same caption went out four more times. One post hit 90k views. 10-28 tried another wording: "Click the link in my bio and you'll get the 'awakening Duolingo,' an app thousands of people use every day to train their consciousness." 89k views. 10-29 tried another: "There's a place for people who think like you. I won't explain it here. Comment this emoji 🐇 and I'll DM you." A white rabbit, the one from The Matrix.
The account has 468k followers, no face, and a bio reading "👇La App para personas conscientes👇" (The app for conscious people 👇), linking to dunity.app/legado. That bio matches word for word the bio on Sann's own main TikTok account. From the outside you can't tell whether it's his own account or one run by a student. Given the identical copy, it's probably his own (inference).
What it sells
The website's first line is "La mente también se entrena" (the mind can also be trained). The whole narrative is "you vs. the Ego" (El Ego): at 11 p.m., the Ego says "go to sleep, start tomorrow, like always"; the app says "I saved you a spot by the fire, it'll only take a minute."
Nearly all of the mechanics are borrowed from Duolingo:
- Daily streaks light up a flame: "If you come back today, that's two days";
- League rankings: "You've been passed. Do you allow it?";
- Seven ranks, from Spark (Chispa) up to Sun (Sol);
- Ice chests and streak-freeze protection. The store-page content modules are called "Mirror," "De-programming," and "Journal."
Monetization is heavy: weekly $7.99, annual $119.99, a lifetime one-time purchase, a paid "Surprise Egg" (a blind box that opens random content), plus books and courses sold separately. The in-app purchase range listed on Google Play is $0.99–$499.99. For the first 30 days (or the first 1,000 annual subscriptions, whichever comes first) there's a "Fundador" (Founding Member) price: $99 per year locked in, plus a lifetime numbered badge (per the website terms).
Traffic came in waves from outside the store
Google Play installs (third-party estimates, averaged between observations):
| Timeline | Total installs | What happened |
|---|---|---|
| 07-12 launch → 08-15 | About 2,900 | A few dozen to a hundred or two per day. Sann posted a few videos introducing the app, each getting only a few hundred to 13k views. |
| 08-16 → 09-17 | About 42k | The steepest month on the whole curve: the Founder-spot countdown, matrix accounts starting to post "link en bio," and 8-28 Instagram carousels saying "comment APP and I'll send it to you." |
| Late September → October | A few hundred per day, with one jump of +6,310 on 10-08 | — |
| 10-27 → 11-06 | 72.6k | The matrix-account video wave above; 11-03 same day +1,523 |
(Google Play installs, 11-06; the public store figure starts at 10-29.)
The store itself contributed almost nothing. It only ranked between #100 and #200 on the free Education charts in Argentina and Mexico, and it's trending down: Argentina #10-29 → #97,11-06 → #166; Mexico dropped out of the top 11-04 after 200. It never entered any country's overall chart.
iOS traffic was smaller. Ratings in each store were single digits, but it did reach the Education Top Grossing charts in a few small Latin American countries: #19 in Peru, #20 in Argentina, #16 in Ecuador (App Store, 10-28 to 11-01). The bar for small-country Education Top Grossing is low, so a few annual subscriptions can get you on it. That shows people are paying, not how much. One third-party data site estimates its iOS monthly revenue at under $5,000 (estimate, unverified). No public figure exists for Android revenue.
Turning followers into sellers
What truly sets DUNITY apart from other apps isn't inside the app. It's the page at dunity.app/legado.
"Legado" (Legacy) is a referral commission program: when someone you bring in buys an annual plan, you get 20%–50% of the first order, rising from L0 to L6 with performance. After the store's cut, that's roughly $20–$51 per order on the $119.99 annual plan. Renewals also pay a small ongoing share, with a 90-day attribution window. Founding Members get a fixed 30%. The terms are explicit about having only one tier: "No second tier, and we don't pay for recruiting". It's not a pyramid structure.
The companion is an invite-only "Academia" that teaches people to create and post content on faceless accounts, then attach their own commission links to those accounts. The landing page headline is "Del scroll a la monetización" (From scrolling to monetizing). Sann's Instagram bio says "I'll teach you for free how to turn your scrolling time into money." The website has one telling line: "No queremos comprar toda nuestra distribución" (We don't want to buy all of our distribution).
This is the classic Latin American Hotmart-style "digital product affiliate marketing" playbook, transplanted to app subscriptions. The creator's own account is the main channel, the faceless matrix accounts spread reach, and commissions let fans and people "who want to make dollars from scrolling" bring in new users themselves. They only pay out on conversions, so there's almost no upfront ad spend. In August 8, they also ran an in-app event tied to the spiritual-community "Lion's Gate" and paired it with a countdown on founding spots ("only a few left").
Sann clearly thinks the model is reusable: under the same developer account he is already running the same playbook on new apps, RUDA (natural therapy, promoted on TikTok with "search RUDA on the app store") and DUOVI (couples budgeting).
Lots of installs, few people staying
72.6k installs produced only 119 ratings, about 1.6 per thousand; Play rating 3.3 stars. An Instagram comment says it bluntly: "Your posts are really great… I downloaded the App, and honestly I'm pretty disappointed."
That's the core of this business: followers will download because they trust one person, but the App itself doesn't keep many people. For Sann this isn't necessarily a problem. He originally sold the book Conoce la única verdad and ran reading circles; the App just turns one-off books and courses into a renewable subscription, and adds a sales-affiliate network on top.
Who it's competing with
| What it is | Scale (Google Play installs) | How it differs from DUNITY | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Finch | Pet-style gamified self-care | 16.6M | English, neutral mental health, no "awakening / matrix" framing |
| Fabulous | Habit building | 27.8M | Behavioral science, not spirituality |
| I am | Daily affirmation cards | 11.9M | A tool, no leagues or social features |
| Gaia | Spiritual documentary subscription | 2.97M | Membership for a film library, no gamification, no creators |
| Mindvalley | Masterclasses | 1.87M | English, high price, no daily check-ins |
| Calm / Headspace / Meditopia | Meditation, sleep | Each tens of millions of installs | Big brands; they have Spanish too, but not an awakening narrative |
| Manifestium, Decrétalo, etc. | Spanish manifestation tools | Very small | No big creator driving volume |
The "spirituality / self-improvement" space is crowded overall, but in the small slot of "Spanish awakening content + Duolingo-style gamification" I didn't see a second one with real scale. Its real competitors are the books, courses, and communities sold by other Spanish spiritual creators. The features themselves are easy to copy; what's hard to copy is the 1M followers.
If it were you
C: Copy its distribution, not its product. DUNITY took off because of the 100+ million Spanish-speaking spiritual followers Sann built over years, which followers can't get. The product itself is rated 3.3 stars, retention is weak, and organic store traffic is tiny; copying "an awakening-flavored Duolingo" alone with no audience equals zero. What's worth taking is the combination: creator + gamified subscription + commissions paid only on conversions.
Who it suits: anyone who already runs a creator with a focused audience (even just tens of thousands of followers, as long as they're loyal and willing to buy your books or courses), or 1–2 developers who can build an app and find such a creator to split revenue with. The narrower the audience, the better: a minority language, a particular faith, a specific lifestyle.
Who it doesn't fit: anyone with no audience who hopes to take off through store search or paid acquisition; anyone who wants to do English "self-improvement" (Finch and Fabulous already fill that); anyone who can't stomach "lots of downloads, few retained, ugly ratings."
How to do it: find a creator who sells books and courses, break their content into "one question a day," and wrap it in a Duolingo shell of check-ins, leagues, and tiers (doable in a month). Copy its pricing: annual plans as the main offer, lock founding-member pricing for the first 30 days after launch, and add a single-tier referral commission so paying users earn 20%–30% by sharing.
How to get users: it all happens on the creator's side. Put a link in the bio, post with automated DMs ("comment a word and I'll DM you"), run one or two faceless accounts that rotate the same hook (at DUNITY it's "if you don't believe in coincidences"), and ride spiritual-community dates (lion's gate, full moons, New Year) with in-App events and countdowns on limited spots.
Is now the time? No rush. This isn't a window-type opportunity; it depends on whether you can get an audience at all. But this specific Spanish spirituality slot is already held by Sann, so don't enter it.
What would show I'm wrong: ① DUNITY's Play installs pass 200k before 2027 January, or it charts top-10 in a major country's education grossing list, meaning this combination earns more than it looks like and it's worth partnering with creators sooner; ② the opposite: by year-end Play adds drop to a few hundred a day and iOS falls off every grossing chart, meaning followers' one-time enthusiasm is spent, the affiliate network never spun up, and the model was just "creator sells books" in a new shell; ③ a second big Spanish spiritual creator launches the same App, meaning this slot is getting crowded.

DUNITY: Self Awareness / Autoconocimiento / Despierta Jugando(com.dunity.app)
A Spanish-language gamified App for "consciousness awakening / self-awareness," with taglines "el Duolingo del despertar de la consciencia" and "la píldora roja del conocimiento." Developer Disruptive Consciousness LLC = Spanish spiritual creator Sebastián Sann (legal name Sebastián Santisteban). Listed on Google Play 2026-07-12 and on iOS (id6775200765) 2026-07-16. Research date 2026-11-06.
Bottom line
It's a Spanish spiritual creator with 500k to 1M followers who funnels his audience into a self-built App: installs come almost entirely from his own accounts and his faceless "matrix" accounts on TikTok / IG / FB posting "link in bio" and "comment APP and I'll DM you"; the product borrows the Duolingo playbook (streak flames, check-ins, leagues, tiers, chests), plus "Fundador" founding-member scarcity pricing and a "Legado" commission plan that turns followers into paying users, then into sellers. Organic store traffic is small. Compared with similar products, what's different is the creator persona + gamification + commission combination, not the features; the volume comes from the creator's audience (resource and distribution play), not product strength.
1. Data (our database + third parties)
Google Play (googleplay library, app_profile / app_day / app_day_ext, 2026-11-06)
- Cumulative installs 72,598, +7 over the last 3,338 days; 119 ratings (Play web page shows 3.3 stars, 120 reviews, "50k+" tier).
- Curve since launch (app_day_ext, AppstoreSpy estimates, averaged between observations):
- 07-25 about 1,053 → 08-15 about 2,914: in the first month about 70–190 per day, essentially the traffic from the creator's own posts.
- Volume jumps starting 08-16: 08-16 +2,499,08-21 cumulative 11,005,08-27 single-day +5,501,09-02 cumulative 28,854,09-17 cumulative 42,065. From mid-August to mid-September it added about 39k, the steepest stretch of the whole curve.
- Late September it slowed to a few hundred a day; 10-08 it spiked again (+6,310), 10-21 +1,919; late October through November about 300–600 per day.
- Charts (chart_rank): only ranked 100–200 in the Education free chart in Argentina and Mexico, and trending down (Argentina 10-29 from #97 to 11-06 #166; Mexico after 11-04 dropped out of the top 200). Never on any country's overall or grossing chart.
- Over 70k installs but only 119 ratings (about 1.6‰), meaning many people who arrived via the link installed and left, and few stayed long enough to rate.
App Store (appstore library, 2026-10-28 to 11-06)
- Rating counts are single digits in every storefront: Mexico 7, Spain 7, Uruguay 5, Argentina 4, Colombia 3, Chile 3, Venezuela 2. iOS downloads are clearly smaller than Android's.
- But it has charted on several small Latin American countries' Education grossing lists: Peru #19 (10-28), Argentina #20 (10-31) / #29, Ecuador #16 (11-01), Mexico #70. The bar for small-country Education grossing charts is low; a few annual subscriptions can get you there. It shows people are paying, not that the money is large.
- Third-party estimate: Peekly puts the iOS app at "< $5k MRR, < 5k downloads/month" (https://peekly.app/apps/c3d95e7c-14b7-4906-a6df-f140557691e8). Its page also shows "$89k MRR" and "82 active Meta ads"; these are blurred placeholder numbers shown when you're logged out, so they're not reliable and not verified.
In-app purchases (Play listing + website terms): single items $0.99–$499.99; weekly sub $7.99, annual sub $119.99, Founder annual $99 (first 1,000 annual subs or within 30 days of launch, whichever comes first), lifetime one-time purchase, paid "surprise eggs" (loot-box style random content), and single books / courses. 2. Competitors
| Product | Where | Launched | Scale (in our database) | How it differs from DUNITY |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Gaia: Streaming Consciousness | iOS / Android | 2014 | Play 2.97M installs; about 20k iOS ratings in the Spanish-speaking stores | A streaming membership for spiritual documentaries, sold on a subscription to the video library. No gamification, no creator persona. |
| Mindvalley | iOS / Android | 2016 | Play 1.87M installs | Mostly English masterclasses at high prices, driven by conferences and celebrity teachers. No daily check-in habit. |
| Finch: Self-Care Pet | iOS / Android | 2021 | Play 16.6M installs | Gamified self-care in the style of a virtual pet. English-language, neutral mental-health positioning. DUNITY instead uses a "awakening / matrix / ego" narrative. |
| Fabulous | iOS / Android | 2013 | Play 27.8M installs | Habit building + behavioral science, no spirituality |
| I am – Daily affirmations | iOS / Android | 2016 | Play 11.9M installs | A daily affirmation card tool. Utility-style, no social features, no leagues. |
| Calm / Headspace / Meditopia | iOS / Android | 2012–2017 | Each has tens of millions of installs | Meditation and sleep. Big-brand, localized into Spanish too. Not an "awakening" narrative and no creator fronting it. |
| Moonly | iOS | 2020 | About 2,200 iOS ratings in the Spanish-speaking stores | Moon phase / astrology spiritual calendar |
| Manifestium, Decrétalo and other Spanish manifestation Apps | iOS / Android | 2025–2026 | Very small (TikTok account with a few thousand followers). | A small-team manifestation tool with no big creator driving traffic. |
| Aya: Manifest Your Dream Self | Android / iOS | 2026-04 | 459K installs on Play, +7K in 22 days | A manifestation app from the same period, relying on paid acquisition, mainly in English and Turkish. |
Overall, the "spirituality / self-improvement" space is crowded. In the narrow niche of Spanish "conscious awakening" plus Duolingo-style gamification, our database found no second player at comparable scale. Its real competitors are the courses, e-books, and communities of other Spanish-speaking spiritual creators (the kind of products it used to sell itself: Sann's book "Conoce la única verdad" and the CLUV reading club).
3. Where users came from (growth tactics)
- The founder's own accounts driving installs (confirmed, main channel)
- TikTok @sebasann: 566k followers, bio "👇La App para personas conscientes👇", link dunity.app/r/fundadores (via TikHub, 2026-11-06). During launch week (7-20 to 7-23) he posted "DUNITY despierta jugando", "Que es @DUNITY APP?" and similar. In that same week, some non-app videos hit 150k–600k views, but videos specifically about the app only reached a few hundred to 13k views.
- Instagram @sebasann__: 646k followers (from Jina search results page). On 8-28 he posted a carousel: "DUNITY es una nueva app para personas que sienten que esta realidad esconde algo más… En redes algunos ya la llaman "la píldora roja del conocimiento"… Comenta "APP" y te la envío". This is the "comment keyword → auto DM the link" tactic (https://www.instagram.com/p/DclcOKonFvE/).
- The Facebook page "Seba Santisteban" cross-posted: "DUNITY es la app para personas conscientes… link en bio para ser Fundador (últimos …)", using "last few founder spots" to create urgency.
- Faceless account network (at least one confirmed, likely more)
- TikTok @comofuncionalamatrix: 468k followers, 3.85M total likes. Its bio is word-for-word identical to Sann's ("👇La App para personas conscientes👇"), linking to dunity.app/legado. 8-10 and 8-25 posted "@DUNITY APP link en bio para jugar" and "La app se llama DUNITY…" (each with 10k+ views). From 10-27 to 10-31 it ran a string of "si no crees en las casualidades, ve al enlace de mi biografía…" posts, individually at 340k, 90k and 89k views, plus "Si vas al ENLACE de mi bio obtienes 'El Duolingo' del despertar de la consciencia…" at 89k views (10-28).
- The timing lines up: after the 8-25 post and the late-August IG carousel, installs jumped by +5,501 on 08-27. From 10-27 to 10-31, after that wave, daily installs fell back to around 600 (inferred).
- The official /legado page's "Academia" exists to teach people to run exactly this kind of account: "Aprende a crear y subir contenido a cuentas sin mostrar tu rostro" (learn to create and post content on accounts without showing your face), then attach your affiliate link to those accounts (https://dunity.app/legado/). Whether @comofuncionalamatrix is Sann's own account or a student's hasn't been verified, but its bio copy matches his exactly, so it's probably his.
- Legado affiliate program (confirmed to exist, results unverified)
- First-order commission of 20%–50% (L0: about $20.40 → L6: about $51 per $119.99 annual sub, after store fees). Renewals earn a lower ongoing share, with a 90-day attribution window. Founder members get a fixed 30%.
- Note: the recruitment card calls this "multi-level", but the terms say the opposite: "Legado es un programa de referidos de un solo nivel… No hay segundo nivel ni pago por reclutar" (single-level referral program, no second tier, no pay for recruiting). L0–L6 are performance-based tiers, not downline levels.
- The pitch is "from scrolling to monetizing" (landing-page headline "Del scroll a la monetización"; Sann's IG bio: "Te Enseño GRATIS a Monetizar tu tiempo Haciendo Scroll"). So the affiliate program is itself a hook: it attracts LatAm users who want to "earn dollars by scrolling" and download the app. The site's own words: "No queremos comprar toda nuestra distribución" (we don't want to buy all our distribution).
- Scarcity pricing and event marketing (confirmed): "Fundador" spots (first 1,000 / first 30 days, $99 price lock, lifetime badge and number, 30% commission) and "Portal 8 de agosto 2026 en @DUNITY APP" (tying an in-app event to the August 8 Leo's Gate spiritual date).
- Paid ads (unverified): our Meta ad library didn't track a Page for it. Peekly's page has a Meta Ads field, but it requires login and the number isn't reliable. The TikTok ad library only covers Europe, so LatAm campaigns aren't visible. The curve jumps in bursts rather than flattening like paid acquisition, which points more to content virality.
- Store search / ASO: on Google Play it's "Self Awareness / Autoconocimiento"; on iOS it's "Despierta Jugando". It ranks only 100–200 in the Education category in Argentina and Mexico, so organic store traffic is small.
- Press / X: x-radar shows 120 posts in the last 0 days. Search turns up only store pages and third-party data sites, with no press coverage.
4. Why it took off
- Ready-made audience: Sann has over 1M followers combined across TikTok, IG, and FB, has posted "awakening / matrix / manifestation" content for years, and has published a book. The app effectively moves the demand that these followers already had for books and courses into a subscription product. The first month saw only tens to a hundred or two installs a day. Volume only picked up in August, once the Founder countdown, the faceless accounts, and the "comment APP" DM tactic were added.
- A clear positioning: "Duolingo-style awakening", "the red pill". One line turns a vague spiritual need into a game you play a little each day. The site's full narrative is "El Ego vs. you", paired with streak flames, leagues, ranks (Chispa → Sol), and ice-freeze power-ups, all of which copy Duolingo's retention mechanics.
- Where the money comes from: $119.99 annual sub + $99 Founder + lifetime one-time purchase + surprise eggs + single books and courses + a platform cut from creators ("DUNITY para creadores" lets other spiritual creators sell books and courses on it). Affiliate commissions are only paid on completed sales, so it barely has to front money for acquisition.
- Retention and word-of-mouth look weak: 3.3 stars on Google Play. A comment on IG reads "Sus posteos me parecen excelentes… Me baje la app y la verdad me resultó una decepción" (I downloaded the app and it was honestly a disappointment). Its rating-to-install ratio is low, and its ranking on LatAm education charts keeps sliding. Followers are willing to click and install, but many don't stick around.
5. Differentiation
- At the product level: put "conscious awakening" content (books, courses, a daily self-examination prompt) inside a Duolingo-style game shell, in Spanish, aimed at Latin America. The features themselves are not hard to copy.
- The distribution is where it really differs: a creator persona + a network of owned faceless accounts + an affiliate network paid only on completed sales + an Academy teaching people to run faceless accounts. This takes the LatAm "marketing de afiliados / productos digitales" playbook (the Hotmart kind) and applies it to app subscriptions.
- Is that why it took off? Yes, but what made the difference is distribution, not the product. Comparable products (Finch, Gaia, Mindvalley) have richer feature sets, but none has a major Spanish-speaking spiritual creator pushing daily traffic to it.
6. How many people know it / has anyone copied it
- Still under the radar: no public revenue, no press or X coverage, and third-party data sites only have auto-generated pages. It's spreading only within Sann's own followers and his affiliate accounts.
- Copycats: no obvious independent copycat found. Spanish manifestation apps like Manifestium and Decrétalo have been around for a while, so they don't count. The same developer is also mass-launching apps with the same playbook: RUDA: Natural Remedies (natural remedies; TikTok says "Busca RUDA en tu tienda de apps") and DUOVI: Couples Finance (couples budgeting).
7. What others can borrow
- Creators with a niche or non-English audience might do better with a lightweight subscription app than with e-books and courses: Duolingo-style streaks plus leagues, limited-time Founder pricing locked in, auto-DMs when someone comments a keyword, and a link in the bio.
- The "pay commission only on completed sales + teach people to run faceless accounts" move turns acquisition cost into pay-for-performance. The landing page openly says "we don't want to buy all our distribution".
- Tie in-app events to spiritual dates (8/8 Leo's Gate) and pair them with a Founder-spot countdown to create bursts of installs.
8. Still unclear
