A TikTok with 5.5M views, and a WhatsApp sticker number that gets rid of the white border
What it is A WhatsApp number: send it a photo, video or link, and within seconds it sends back a cut-out sticker with no white border. There's also a companion Android app.
Why it took off The founder's own TikTok reached 5.5M views by hitting a small annoyance everyone has with WhatsApp's built-in editor, which adds a white border to stickers. Users don't need to install anything; they just tap and use it.
BHow you could follow it Don't copy stickers in Brazil. Go to another market that heavily uses IM stickers and has no one doing this yet, build the tool as a chat number, make short videos around one specific flaw in a built-in feature, offer the first one free and sell packs after that.

Felku is a Brazilian sticker app that launched four weeks ago on Google Play with just over 10,000 installs. On its own it's not much to learn from. What's worth looking at is what sits in front of it: a WhatsApp number. You send it a photo, and it sends back a cut-out sticker with no white border. A Brazilian indie developer, posting on TikTok himself, pushed that number in front of (by his own account) 430k people. Below I lay out what it is, where the traffic came from, how it makes money, who it competes with, and which part you can take away.
A single post, 639k likes
On 2026 Apr 4, TikTok user @upaulinhoo posted a photo post with the caption:
Chega de ficar sem figurinhas de memes, brincadeiras, artistas e famílias. Agora você envia uma foto ou vídeo e essa automação transforma em figurinha — Link no meu perfil
"Stop missing meme stickers. Now send a photo or video and this automation turns it into a sticker. Link is in my profile." The tags were #virginia #neymar #patixa, the hottest influencers, footballers and memes in Brazil at the time. By Nov 6, the post had 5.5M views, 639k likes and 13.8k shares (TikTok data, 11-06).
The account belongs to Paulo Henrique Reis Alves, who is registered as a sole proprietor in Brazil, and Felku is his one-person product. The account has only 1,984 followers today but has collected 655k likes, almost all from this one post.
The comments say more than the video itself. The three most-liked:
odeio as figurinhas do WhatsApp que sai com a borda branca (63k likes) "I hate that WhatsApp stickers come out with a white border."
agr o mico ter figurinha com a borda branca (59k likes) "Now it's embarrassing to still have stickers with a white border."
Further down there's a string of "FUNCIONAA" and "funciona msm" ("it actually works"), plus one comment, "NÃO TEM BORDA DE CATUPIRY" ("no Catupiry border"). Brazilians call the white outline WhatsApp's automatic cutout adds the "Catupiry border," comparing it to the ring of cheese on a pizza crust.
What it is: a contact, not an app
There's only one step: save +55 11 97877-5451 to your contacts, then send it photos, GIFs, short videos, or links from TikTok, X or Pinterest. A few seconds later it sends back a sticker you can long-press to save. If the photo has a caption, the sticker carries that text; videos are trimmed to their first 10 seconds and turned into animated stickers (official guide page, 11-06).
It has one selling point: the white border. WhatsApp has included a built-in sticker editor since 2024. It's free, but the cutouts it makes automatically get a white outline, and it can't take videos or links. In Brazil, where hundreds of millions of people chat with stickers in groups every day, that border is a small annoyance everyone has run into and no one has solved. The dozens of videos he posted later all narrowed their hook to this one line: "figurinha sem borda branca" (a sticker without a white border).
The Android app, launched 9 Oct, came later. It makes stickers and manages sticker packs, and it bundles two extras: a Místico astrology birth-chart generator (outputs a PDF) and a habit tracker. The official site homepage now says "three small things that fit into your day," and also has a "Baixador Felku" that downloads videos from X, TikTok and Kuaishou Brazil, used as a traffic funnel.
Where the volume comes from
The founder films it himself. After the hit, he kept posting from the same template: 21 videos in June, 18 in July. The approach is fixed: show a finished sticker, ride the trending figure of the week's tags (Virginia, Neymar, Gretchen, Dua Lipa; in September it switched to banker Vorcaro, who was in the news), and close with "link do bot no meu perfil" (bot link in my profile). Only that one post went viral. Of the posts that passed 100k views, one has 6-11 (266k) and another has 8-13 (176k); most have only a few thousand.
Users don't have to install anything. This is why conversion is fast: see the video, tap the profile, tap the wa.me link, chat opens in WhatsApp, and the first sticker is already back. No app store, no sign-up in between.
SEO pages, not in use yet. felku.com.br has 18 guides in Portuguese, English and Spanish, about 51 URLs total, covering holiday-keyword pages (Halloween, Christmas, Black Friday, New Year stickers) and a post titled "2026 Best Sticker Bots" written for the users of NekoMoji, which shut down in Sep 30. But search "bot de figurinha whatsapp" or "como fazer figurinha no whatsapp" in the Brazil store and Felku isn't in the top 10 results (11-06).
An Instagram sticker account @figurinhas_whatsapp has, from the start of the year through May, repeatedly posted the "save Felku to your contacts" copy. Probably theirs (inferred).
Ads: none seen. Nothing turned up in the Meta Ad Library, but paid promotion can't be ruled out.
Self-reported reach keeps climbing: the old landing site stickerzap.com.br says "+187k users", the X bio says "+400k", and the homepage now says "430k people use it, 4M stickers made". All self-reported, can't be verified.
How it makes money
New Brazilian users get one free sticker, a single time, with no daily reset. After that you buy sticker packs inside the chat and pay on the spot. No subscription. The guide page spells out the reasoning plainly:
Every sticker bot has costs to run: servers, video conversion, and WhatsApp's messaging fees.
Pack prices only show up inside the chat, not on the website. The app's in-app purchase range is $1.59–$19.99 (Google Play, 11-06), and from the outside you can't tell whether it sells sticker packs or horoscope readings. Conversion and revenue aren't public.
Pay-per-use suits this category. Making stickers happens in bursts: a meme blows up, you make five, then you don't touch it for a month. A subscription wouldn't keep people.
The app: in a red ocean, already sliding
| Date | Google Play cumulative installs | |
|---|---|---|
| 10-15 | About 1,700 | Charted #8 in the Brazil Personalization New Releases free chart one week after launch |
| 10-21 | About 5,200 | 300–1,000 installs a day |
| 11-02 | 10,401 | |
| 11-06 | 10,984 | Dropped to about 150 installs a day |
(Early figures are third-party estimates; the November figure is Google Play data.)
On the Brazil Personalization free chart, it fell from #10-29 on 139 to #11-06 on 196. No ratings, no reviews, and the version has stayed at 1.1.1. The likeliest source is bot and website users being pushed over to the app, not organic store traffic (inferred). The habit tracker only exists in the app, which looks built to pull people into installing it.
The app competes with Sticker.ly (342M installs, still adding about +488k in the last 7 days) and a crowd of sticker-making apps with 40M to 200M installs each. It has no edge there. Its real selling point is "no app install needed."
Who it's competing with
| Product | Form | How it charges | Versus Felku |
|---|---|---|---|
| WhatsApp's built-in editor | System feature | Free | Adds white borders, no video or link support. That gap is Felku's hook. |
| Sticker.ly and other sticker apps | App | Ads / subscription | Hundreds of thousands of times the scale, but you have to install and cut out images by hand |
| Stikky | WhatsApp bots | 3 free stickers a day, R$1.99/month | Cheaper pricing, ranks #1 in Brazil search, looks like a new site |
| BotDoSenpai | WhatsApp bots | Daily free quota + paid | Ranks #2 in search, has a group version and its own TikTok account |
| Ninna Rata | WhatsApp bots | Daily free quota + subscription | Nearly identical features, also supports links |
| Reth, MariaBot, NANA BOT | WhatsApp bots | Free + paid group version | Stickers are just one feature |
| NekoMoji | WhatsApp bots | — | Built by one person, 35k users, 2026-09-30 shut down |
"Sticker bots inside WhatsApp" has been a small category in Brazil for a while, with several players. Felku's product differs from them only slightly. What sets it apart is that its founder makes short videos on camera, and one of them went viral. NekoMoji's fate is worth noting too: one person couldn't carry the server and messaging costs or the workload, so it shut down.
If it were you
B. Worth a test, but what you should copy is the playbook of "turn the tool into a chat number + make short videos yourself", not Brazilian stickers as such. Brazil already has seven or eight sticker bots, and the app route is an even redder ocean. The opening is in markets where WhatsApp, LINE or Telegram are deeply embedded and nobody has done this yet.
Who it's for: 1 people who can work with the WhatsApp Business API or a Telegram Bot. The target is a market whose mother tongue is heavy IM sticker use (Indonesia, Mexico, Argentina, India, Turkey, Thailand, where LINE is used), and who will appear on camera or edit their own clips, putting out ten-plus short videos a week.
Who it's not for: people counting on store organic traffic or SEO to get going (Felku's own app and 51 guide pages show that's slow). People unwilling to make content. People who haven't worked out the messaging and compute cost per sticker and are betting that a free quota will hook users first (that's how NekoMoji closed).
How to do it: one number, one thing done best. First find one concrete flaw in the built-in feature of your market's messaging app (white borders, no animated stickers, no links, ugly fonts), then build the whole product around fixing it. Free first sticker, then pay per pack, no subscription. Don't rush to build an app, and definitely don't stuff in horoscopes or habit tracking.
How to get users: copy Felku's template. A vertical video showing a finished sticker that happens to be this week's trending person or meme, with the caption pointing straight at the flaw ("no white border"), ending with "the number is in my bio." Swap the hashtags for whatever is trending in your country that week. One hit is enough to grow, so you need to post a lot. The comments asking "does it really work?" and "can it make animated ones?" are your next video topics.
When to start: launch before December, to catch the peak of Christmas, New Year and year-end memes. Felku itself set up its Christmas and New Year sticker pages early.
What would mean we got it wrong: ① your market's WhatsApp or LINE built-in editor drops the white borders or adds video-to-sticker, and the hook is gone; ② Meta changes WhatsApp Business API pricing or limits bot auto-replies, pushing per-sticker cost above your price; ③ you post 30+ videos and none passes 100k views. This playbook runs on hits, and without hits it doesn't work; ④ the reverse: Felku's Android app climbs back above a thousand installs a day in December and starts collecting ratings. That would show the app route works and we underrated it.

Felku (com.felku.app) research report
Research date 2026-11-06. Data sources: googleplay library (chart_rank / app_snap / app_day_ext, the latter an AppstoreSpy estimate), the felku.com.br site and guide pages, nekomoji.chat, TikTok data pulled via TikHub, the X profile, and Brave / Jina search results.
One line
Felku is a WhatsApp sticker bot built by Paulo Henrique Reis Alves, a solo indie developer in Brazil (sole proprietor, CNPJ 65.508.556/0001-39, see mcp.felku.com.br/en/termos). You send it a photo, GIF, video, or a TikTok/X/Pinterest link to +55 11 97877-5451, and the bot replies with a sticker (its pitch is 'no white borders'). The Android app 2026-10-09 listed on the Play Store came after the bot, as a companion, and adds a zodiac birth chart (Místico, exported as PDF) and habit tracking.
Verdict
The thing that actually took off was the WhatsApp bot, not this app. The bot rode the founder's own TikTok: a 2026-04-04 photo post reading "send a photo or video, this automation turns it into a sticker, link in my bio," tagged with Brazilian celebrity and meme hashtags like #virginia #neymar #patixa. It reached 5.5M views, 639k likes, 13.8k shares (TikHub, @upaulinhoo). He then reused the template for dozens more posts (21 in June, 18 in July), narrowing the hook to "figurinha sem borda branca" (stickers without a white border). The pain point comes from WhatsApp's built-in editor auto-adding white borders to cut-out stickers. It even went viral on its own in Brazil around 2026-11 as "borda de catupiry" (cheese border) (quenty.com.br 2026-11-01). The website claims 430k users and 4M stickers made (unverified). The app came later: in the first few days after launch it reached #8 on Brazil's personalization new-free chart (AppBrain), then installs growth slid steadily.
Growth data
- Play installs (googleplay library + AppstoreSpy estimates): 10-15 1,726 → 10-21 5,232 → 10-27 7,740 → 11-02 10,401 → 11-06 10,984. Mid-to-late October saw 300–1,000 installs a day; after 11-04 it fell to roughly 135–156 installs a day.
- Charts: it only ever charted on Brazil's personalization Top Free category, sliding from #10-29 at 139 to #11-06 at 196 (chart_rank). No ratings, no reviews, and the version has stayed at 1.1.1.
- In-app purchases range $1.59–$19.99 per item (app_snap). On the bot side it's "first sticker free in Brazil, then buy packs inside the chat," with no subscription (site guide: guias/bot-de-figurinha-gratis).
- Bot scale: the felku.com.br site says "430 mil pessoas · 4 milhões figurinhas"; the X bio says "+400k people"; another landing site, stickerzap.com.br, still shows the older figure "+187 mil". The number has been growing, but all figures are self-reported and unverified.

| WhatsApp's built-in sticker editor | Big-company features | iOS 2024-01, Android to follow | Available to all users | Free, but cutouts automatically get a white border, and it doesn't turn videos or links into stickers. Felku's pitch is exactly "no white border + supports videos and links." |

Pricing is more aggressive than Felku. Ranks #1 for "bot de figurinha whatsapp" on Brave |
| NekoMoji | WhatsApp bots | About 2025-09 | 35k users, 387k stickers, 2026-09-30 shut down (nekomoji.chat/legado) | A one-person sticker bot that shut down over cost and effort. Felku's guide page explicitly addresses "what to choose now that NekoMoji is gone." |
Bottom line: this niche has no shortage of competitors. "Sticker-making WhatsApp bots" is already a small category in Brazil with several players, and Felku's product format isn't unique.
Growth levers (ranked by strength of evidence)
- The founder drives traffic through his own TikTok (confirmed): @upaulinhoo (Paulo Reis), 1,984 followers, 125 videos, 655k total likes. His bio links the bot number and felku.com.br/l/tk. The hit is the 04-04 video (5.5M views), plus 06-11 at 266k, 08-13 at 176k, and 07-07 at 94k. Most of the rest only got a few thousand views. The play: ride trending celebrities and memes in hashtags (Virginia, Neymar, Gretchen, Dua Lipa, Vorcaro…), with content that's basically "here are the stickers I made, link in bio."
- An Instagram sticker-theme account (most likely owned by Felku, ownership unverified): @figurinhas_whatsapp has repeatedly posted the same boilerplate from early 2026 through May: "save Felku to your contacts (+55 11 97877-5451)…"
- One product, multiple landing domains, plus guide pages for SEO (confirmed, but the effect is limited for now): felku.com.br has 18 guides in Portuguese, English, and Spanish, roughly 51 URLs total, organized around holidays like Halloween, Christmas, Black Friday, and New Year, plus a comparison page "2026 best WhatsApp sticker bots" aimed at users displaced when NekoMoji shut down. stickerzap.com.br is another landing site for the same product; felku.com.br/figurinha/copa-2026 captures World Cup traffic. However, on Brave's Brazil index, searches for "bot de figurinha whatsapp," "como fazer figurinha no whatsapp," and "figurinha sem borda branca" show no Felku in the top 10, so SEO isn't a major source yet.
- Bot users funneled into the app (inferred): the app reached #8 on Brazil's personalization new-release chart right after launch, and there's no visible external promotion in the store. The most likely sources are WhatsApp conversations, the website, and the TikTok bio pushing existing users to Play. The habit tracker exists only in the app and looks designed to pull people into installing it.
- Paid ads: metaads has no ads for Felku, felku.com.br, or stickerzap. The library only tracks a list of products, so absence doesn't mean no spend. No evidence either way.
Why it took off
- Content goes viral and traffic follows: one 5.5M-view TikTok put a bot that replies with a sticker to any photo in front of hundreds of thousands of Brazilian users at once. Users don't have to install anything, they can use it as soon as they see it, so the conversion path is extremely short.
- Hit the pain point precisely: WhatsApp's built-in editor adds white borders to stickers. "No white border" is a long-running complaint from Brazilian users, and it went viral again in early November under the "cheese border" label. Felku's video copy bets almost entirely on this point.
- A unique ecosystem: Brazilians send stickers in WhatsApp groups constantly and treat them as a language. Getting a finished product right inside the chat is far more convenient than installing a 200MB sticker app.
- Simple monetization: first sticker free, then buy packs inside the chat, no subscription. Each sticker carries real server and WhatsApp Official API message costs, so pay-per-use is defensible (the stickerzap page is labeled WhatsApp Business Platform).
- Rode a competitor's exit: NekoMoji shut down at the end of September, and Felku immediately published a comparison page to catch its users. The scale was small (NekoMoji had only 35k users), so it was a bonus rather than a major driver.
Differentiation
Compared with sticker apps (Sticker.ly and others), Felku's edge is that it needs no app install, returns finished stickers right in WhatsApp, and can turn videos and links into stickers. That really is why it took off. But this difference comes from the bot format itself, and BotDoSenpai, Ninna Rata, Reth, and Stikky all have it too. Measured against these similar bots, Felku's product differences are small (no white border, link-to-sticker, adding text in captions). What really sets it apart is distribution: the founder makes the content himself, and he produced one viral hit. The zodiac and habit-tracking features in the Android app are attempts to test a second and third revenue line with existing users, not the reason it grew. The app itself has no edge in the crowded sticker-app red ocean, and installs are already trending down.
Visibility
Few people know about it yet: no media coverage, 0 mentions in the x-radar corpus, and the founder's X account has only 116 followers. "400k+ users" appears only on his own website and X bio, and revenue hasn't been disclosed. Recently his focus on X has shifted to Felku Connect (an unofficial MCP service that links WhatsApp/Telegram to AI agents) and Felku Empresas (a WhatsApp solution for businesses).
Copycats
No confirmed copycats. Stikky has an almost identical positioning and its page looks like a new site, but I couldn't find a launch date, so it's unclear whether it's copying Felku.
What to borrow
- In countries where super-messaging apps like WhatsApp, LINE, and Telegram are deeply embedded, turn a "tool" into a contact number: zero install, and when you post TikToks you can drop the number directly to convert.
- Content template: show the finished product + tag a celebrity trending that week + "link in bio." The founder can run it on his own account, and a single hit is enough to build momentum.
- Aim content hooks at a specific flaw in a big platform's built-in feature (here, the white border). That works far better than vaguely saying "it's useful."
- When a competitor shuts down, immediately publish a comparison and migration guide to catch its users.
- Pay-per-use (first one free + buy packs) fits "make one occasionally" usage better than a subscription.
Still unclear
- The 430k users and 4M stickers are self-reported; payment conversion and revenue are unknown.
- Whether @figurinhas_whatsapp is the founder's own account.
- Whether TikTok / Meta ads were run (the library shows nothing, but that can't be ruled out).
- Whether the app's $1.59–$19.99 in-app purchases sell sticker packs or the Místico readings.
- Which came first, Stikky or Felku.
- The bot runs on the official WhatsApp Business API (the stickerzap page says so). How much a Meta policy or billing change would hit its costs.
