# An AI face-swap app under a Lahore packaging company, alive for 5 weeks: Fantyx and at least 7 reskinned shells behind it

**What it is** A face-swap app where you pick a template, upload a photo, and AI swaps your face in. Contains ads, in-app purchases $3.99 to $169.99.

**Why it took off** The same app was relaunched under different names, using a real company's developer account, at least 7 times; each shell was batch-acquired with concentrated paid ads, and high-priced subscriptions pushed it into UK and France Entertainment Top Grossing charts. Fantyx was pulled after 5 weeks on the store.

**C** **How you could follow this** Don't copy a reskin matrix. Build one app on your own account and maintain it long-term, add video face-swap and regular template updates, give a free output before the paywall, and target the UK, France, or smaller Western European countries with lower acquisition costs.

C grade: the Western European entertainment chart is easy to crack, but face swap templates are an old category crowded with FaceApp and Reface. The product has no differentiation. Its only real play is hiding behind a shell and swapping skins, which breaks platform policy. The legitimate path is just paid acquisition, and that's not worth it. Almost nobody knows about it yet

Fantyx is an AI face-swap photo template app on Google Play. It launched 28 Sep and had 14,735 installs cumulative by 3 Nov. Every day it sat at #140 to #173 on the UK Entertainment Top Grossing chart. Checking again on 6 Nov, the listing and developer page show 404 in every country. It isn't a standalone product. It's the 6th package from the same white-label face-swap app family. That family rotates developer accounts borrowed from a few paper mills, packaging plants and diaper makers in Indonesia and Pakistan, uploads them in batches, buys installs in waves, and uses high-priced subscriptions to push into the Western European Top Grossing charts. The takeaway is a chart phenomenon with a very low bar: the product isn't worth copying, and this playbook isn't either.

### A flexible-packaging manufacturer founded in 1994 just released a face-swap app

Fantyx's developer name on Google Play is AKSA CONVERTERS SMC-PRIVATE LIMITED. The company website, aksaconverters.com.pk, says it is a Lahore flexible-packaging lamination manufacturer, operating since 1994. On AppBrain, this developer account was "active for about 1 months with only one app".

Its sibling package Vantasyx is still live. The UK store page's "About the developer" lists PT SUPREME PAPER SOLUTION, with an address in an industrial zone in Subang, West Java. The company's site claims it is "Indonesia's top three kraft paper producers". The support email is solomon68smokeloke@gmail.com, and vantasyx.com just shows a single line: "Hello World!" The data safety section says "no data collected", yet this is a face-swap app that asks you to upload your own photos. The update note says only two words: "Fix bug".

Paper mills and packaging plants don't build face-swap apps themselves. The accounts are borrowed.

### What it is

The store description opens with: "a creative AI face swap and image transformation app". The flow is to pick a template, upload a photo, and the AI swaps your face into it. Much of the description talks about analyzing "facial contours, key features, viewing angles, lighting", but it's really image face-swapping, no video. The store lists "Contains ads" and "In-app purchases", with IAP ranging from $3.99 to $169.99 (Google Play, 11-03). Following the category's usual pattern, this is probably weekly and annual subscriptions plus credit packs, though the exact tiers weren't verified.

13 ratings, averaging 3.0 stars: 6 one-star, 6 five-star, and not a single two-, three- or four-star (Google Play, 11-03). Half the users feel the paywall trapped them; the other half may have been prompted into five-star reviews by a popup (inference). No one left a written review.

### Install curve is a square wave

| Date | Total installs | Added that day |
|---|---|---|
| 10-15 | About 700 | — |
| 10-17 | 2,849 | About 1,600 |
| 10-18 to 10-20 | 2,893 | A dozen or more a day |
| 10-21 | 4,926 | About 2,000 |
| 10-27 | 9,758 | About 1,000 |
| 10-28 to 10-31 | 9,761 | About 0 |
| 11-01 | 12,610 | 2,849 |

(The October figures are AppstoreSpy estimates. From Oct 29 onward these are public Google Play install counts.)

It gained about two thousand a day, then stopped for several days, then surged again. Organic growth doesn't look like that. This is paid acquisition in batches against a budget. The install-to-rating ratio of roughly 1,100 to 1 also suggests the people coming in are almost entirely ad-driven and leave after using it.

The money evidence is the charts. From Oct 29 to Nov 3, Fantyx sat at #140 to #173 on the UK Entertainment Top Grossing chart every day. In Oct 29 it also hit #195 on the UK Entertainment Top Free chart. Tens of thousands of installs were enough to land on the top grossing chart, which means people in the UK are paying and the category's bar is low: the top tier is $169.99, and a handful of sales is enough. How much it actually earned can't be estimated.

### Same app, at least 7 names

Searching Google Play for Fantyx's price list ($3.99–$169.99) and its privacy policy wording (hosted on sites.google.com, with URLs like privacy-policy-of-something or privacypolicyof something) turns up 7 packages. The descriptions are all edits of the same template, and the support emails are all random-looking gmail addresses.

| Name | Developer name | Launched | Installs (early November) | Charts |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| JemiAI | ULTIMATE TECHNOLOGY | 06-18 | 20,378 | Sweden Entertainment Top Free #199 |
| Zynthera | A. L. Purinton | 06-15 | 18,788 | — |
| Velmora | Leesburg Android | 06-26 | 16,832 | — |
| Vantasyx | Indonesian kraft paper mill PT Supreme Paper Solution | 09-14 | 32,805 | France Entertainment Top Grossing #79–#88, UK #98–#200, also charted in Germany and Australia |
| Avita | PT ESOLUTION TECH INDONESIA | 09-19 | 3,522 | — |
| **Fantyx** | **Lahore flexible-packaging plant AKSA Converters** | 09-28 | 14,735 | UK Entertainment Top Grossing #140–#173 |
| Mynko | Indonesian diaper maker PT Sinergi Adimitra Jaya | 09-30 | 6,985 | France Entertainment Top Grossing #108, UK #178–#193 |

(Google Play installs and chart positions, from end of October through 11-06.)

Two more packages, Ambli and Mylora, have pricing and privacy pages that are very close, with different descriptions. They're suspected to share the same source.

The rhythm is clear. The first batch, JemiAI, Zynthera and Velmora, launched mid-to-late June, ramped up from mid-July into early August, and daily gains fell to single digits after mid-August. The second batch, Vantasyx, Avita, Fantyx and Mynko, launched mid-to-late September and ramped up in October. Around 3 Nov, several packages each gained about two thousand on nearly the same day: Fantyx 2,125, Vantasyx 2,177, Mynko 2,028, JemiAI roughly 2,564 (AppstoreSpy estimate). One ad account, with budget added to the whole matrix on the same day.

The 7 packages together reached about 114k installs. Each one alone is small, but combined, this team has kept a few slots on the UK, French and German Entertainment Top Grossing charts.

Why borrow a paper mill's account? Since 2023, Google Play has required new personal developer accounts to run a closed test with 20 testers for 14 days before publishing. Organization accounts need a D-U-N-S number. Opening the organization account under a real, unrelated company gets around this gate, and if the account is banned, the actual operators aren't exposed. In the gray market this is called renting or buying accounts (inference; I couldn't confirm whether one team or a white-label supplier is behind it). Fantyx's developer page is also 404, which looks more like an account ban than a voluntary takedown, though this wasn't verified.

### Where users come from

Almost all of it is paid acquisition, and the specific platforms couldn't be confirmed directly. Searching Meta's and TikTok's public ad libraries by name, package ID or developer name returns nothing, but ad libraries are incomplete. TikTok's only shows ads targeting Europe, so no results doesn't mean no spend; it could also have gone to Google's app ads. Based on the chart distribution, the spend appears concentrated in high-paying markets like the UK, France, Germany and Australia.

Content buzz is zero. Searching fantyx and vantasyx on TikTok returns no videos, nobody has mentioned it on X in the past two months, and the only search results are auto-generated listings from download sites like CNET Download, Softonic and APKPure.

### Who it's competing with

| Product | Launched | Scale | How Fantyx differs |
|---|---|---|---|
| FaceApp | 2017 | Google Play 587M installs | Leading brand with organic traffic |
| Reface | 2019 | 155M installs | Pioneer of the face-swap category, can swap video and has celebrity templates |
| Mivo / ArtPic / Faceswapp AI | 2020–2024 | 1 million to 120 million installs | Established tool maker, uses ASO plus paid acquisition |
| FaceMagic | — | 4.44 million installs, #95 on UK Entertainment Top Grossing | Long-standing player on the same chart |
| CrokAI: Reface Image & Video | 2026-06 | 154k installs, UK Entertainment Top Grossing #114–#121 | Also high-priced IAP ($1.99–$199.99) with dubious emails, but only one package, and it rides search by putting "Reface" right in the name |
| Kling, HeyGen, Pixlr and other web tools | — | Big companies and mature tools | Free or cheap, no app install needed |

(Google Play installs and chart positions, 11-06.)

Putting photos into templates to swap faces is an old category on Google Play that's already packed. Fantyx has nothing functionally that others don't. It's identical to its sibling packages apart from the name and icon. It worked through operations alone: disposable shell packages, borrowed corporate accounts, budget added to the whole matrix on the same day, then high-priced subscriptions to collect from paying users in Western Europe. That same setup also guarantees each package doesn't last long.

### If it were you

**The short take:** The lesson here is a pattern: the entertainment charts in the UK and France are an easy door. A high-priced subscription face-swap template app can sit at 80 to 170 with just 10K to 30K installs. The product itself is a commodity, and its real "moat", borrowing developer accounts and mass-cloning skins, breaks Google Play's developer policy. The ending is written on Fantyx's 404 page.

**Who it's for:** small teams that already build Android subscription apps, can run Google or Meta app ads, and can work out first-purchase payback, looking for a low-paywall region to test pricing.

**Who it's not for:** indie devs with no ad budget who want to grow through store search or organic traffic. In this category, organic traffic is taken by FaceApp and Reface. Fantyx's matrix reached 110k installs and not a single discussion online. It's also not for anyone unwilling to take on account-ban risk.

**How to do it:**

- Don't copy the re-skin matrix. Use your own real account, build one package, and keep ratings and updates healthy over time. CrokAI reached 154k installs and #114 on UK Entertainment Top Grossing with a single package, which shows deep investment in one app can chart too.

- Do the opposite where it does worst. It can only swap images, its site is just Hello World, and half its ratings are one-star. Build video face-swap, holiday or trending-meme template updates, give a free result before any payment, and put the cancel-subscription option somewhere obvious.

- Test in other regions. This matrix's chart positions are concentrated in the UK, France, Germany and Australia. The same product might clear the bar more easily in markets with lower Entertainment Top Grossing thresholds, like the Nordics, the Netherlands or Italy (inference; not checked market by market).

**How to acquire users:** paid acquisition only. Creative is face-swap before-and-after comparisons, run in English and high-paying Western European markets, tested in small waves to see which one pays back within a few days.

**When is the window:** the category won't disappear, but the window isn't here. FaceApp, Reface and big-company free tools are always there, and Google can tighten down on shell-based tactics at any time. There's no clear deadline.

**Signs you're reading it wrong:** after two or three small-budget rounds, first-purchase revenue doesn't cover acquisition cost; or your package gets throttled under ten thousand installs because of subscription complaints or a collapsing rating. One of these is enough to stop.

Competitors

| Name | Where | Launched | Scale | How it differs from this one |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| FaceApp | Android | 2017 | 587 million installs (Google Play) | Leading brand with organic traffic; Fantyx has no brand and is a pure paid-acquisition shell package |
| Reface | Android | 2019 | 155M installs | Pioneer of video face-swap and celebrity templates; Fantyx only does image templates |
| FaceMagic | Android | Not verified | 4.44 million installs, #95 on UK Entertainment Top Grossing | Long-running product on the same chart; Fantyx is a disposable package |
| CrokAI: Reface Image & Video | Android | 2026-06 | 154k installs, UK Entertainment Top Grossing #114–#121 | Same gray playbook, but one package deepened and "Reface" in the name rides search; Fantyx rotates multiple packages |
| Vantasyx / JemiAI / Zynthera / Velmora / Mynko / Avita | Android | 2026-06 to 09 | Each 0.35–33k installs, ~114k combined | Same product, just a new name, icon, and borrowed developer account |
| Kling / HeyGen / Pixlr and other web face-swap tools | Web | — | Big companies and mature tools | Free or cheap, no app to install; Fantyx feeds on people who tap through from an ad to the store |

Where users come from

- Inferred **Paid acquisition (not platform-confirmed)** : installs come in bursts (+2,000 in one day, then roughly 0 over the next few days); 7 sibling packages jump by about 2,000 on the same day 11-03; installs-to-ratings ratio around 1,100:1; no hits in the Meta or TikTok EU ad libraries (they only track listed advertisers)

- **Confirmed** **High-priced subscriptions pushing a category Top Grossing chart** : 15k installs, sitting at #140–173 on the UK Entertainment Top Grossing chart; sibling Vantasyx reached #79 on France Entertainment Top Grossing with 33k installs (googleplay.chart_rank)

- **Confirmed** **Multi-package, multi-account reskin matrix (borrowing the identities of real companies)** : same price tiers $3.99–$169.99, identically formatted sites.google privacy pages, gibberish gmail support addresses; developer names are Lahore packaging maker AKSA Converters, Indonesian paper mill PT Supreme Paper Solution, and diaper maker PT Sinergi Adimitra Jaya

- Inferred **Incentivized ratings** : 13 reviews with a distribution of [1-star 6, 5-star 6], with the middle at 0

- **Confirmed** **Auto-generated download-site listings** : CNET, Softonic, AppBrain, and APKPure all have auto-generated pages; zero mentions on TikTok, X, or in the media

## Why Fantyx (com.fyx.ftyx) was able to rank

> Channel: Google Play / Entertainment. Developer listed as AKSA CONVERTERS SMC-PRIVATE LIMITED. First launched 2026-09-28. Research date 2026-11-06.

### Bottom line

Fantyx isn't a single product. It's the **7th-plus reskin** of a white-label AI face-swap template app. Starting from 2026-06, the same team (or the same supplier) used developer accounts from several Indonesian, Pakistani and US **companies with no connection to software** (a paper mill, a packaging factory, a diaper maker) to take turns launching the same app. Every version has the same one-tier in-app purchase at **$3.99–$169.99** , the same privacy policy hosted at `sites.google.com/view/privacy…of<name>`, garbled gmail support addresses, and listings rewritten from one template. Each version hits 1–30k installs through one or two concentrated paid-acquisition pushes, charts at #100–200 in the UK and France Entertainment **Top Grossing** , earns for a while, then gets banned or replaced by the next one. **Fantyx itself has disappeared from Google Play after 11-03** : 11-06 shows 404 on the detail pages in the us/gb/fr/de/in/pk/id/br stores, and the developer page is also 404 (tested in this research). It "works" through a distribution play and a reskin matrix, not through the product.

### 1. The data: how far it actually went

| Date | Total installs | Added that day | Score | Source |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 10-15 | 700 | — | — | AppstoreSpy estimate (googleplay.app_day_ext) |
| 10-17 | 2,849 | About 1,604 per day | — | Same as above |
| 10-18 to 10-20 | 2,893 | About 15/day | — | Same as above (ads stopped) |
| 10-21 | 4,926 | About 2,033 | — | Same as above |
| 10-27 | 9,758 | About 1,069 | — | Same as above |
| 10-28 to 10-31 | 9,761 | About 0 | 10→11 | googleplay.app_day |
| 11-01 | 12,610 | +2,849 | 12 | googleplay.app_day |
| 11-03 | 14,735 | +2,125 | 13 | googleplay.app_day (last observation) |
| 11-06 | — | — | — | Play store pages 404 across regions, developer page 404 (confirmed) |

- The install curve comes in bursts: up two thousand in a day, then nearly 0 for several days, then another wave. Organic growth doesn't look like this. This is what batch-by-batch, budget-driven buying looks like.

- **The recall card says it has "no chart ranking at all," and that's wrong.** googleplay.chart_rank shows it sitting on the **UK Entertainment Top Grossing chart** every day from 10-29 to 11-03, at #140–#173 (and on 10-29 it was also #195 on the UK Entertainment Top Free chart). So people in the UK are paying for it, just not in big numbers.

- 13 ratings, averaging 3.0, distributed as [1-star 6, 2–4-star 0, 5-star 6] (googleplay.app_snap 11-03). Half at each extreme with nothing in the middle is typical when incentivized reviews and a paywall that scares off some users both show up together. There are no review-text samples in the corpus (it didn't make the overall chart before 30).

- The store listing says "contains ads + in-app purchases" (app_snap.ad_supported = True). In-app purchases run $3.99–$169.99; by convention for apps like this, that's likely weekly and yearly subscriptions plus credit packs. Exact tiers not verified.

### 2. Competitors: who else does the same thing

Swapping faces onto photos with templates is an old Google Play category that's already crowded. Here's the googleplay library 2026-11-06 data:

| Product | Platform | Launched | Scale | How Fantyx differs |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| FaceApp | Android/iOS | 2017 | 587M installs, +300k in 7 days | Top brand with organic traffic and name recognition; Fantyx has no brand and runs purely on paid acquisition |
| Reface | Android/iOS | 2019 | 155M installs | Pioneer of face swap, with video swaps and celebrity templates; Fantyx only does image templates |
| Mivo / ArtPic / Faceswapp AI(Hangover Studios) | Android | 2020–2024 | 1 million to 120 million installs | Established tool maker with ASO plus paid acquisition; Fantyx is a disposable shell package |
| FaceMagic(com.xgd.magicface) | Android/iOS | — | 4.44 million installs, #95 on UK Entertainment Top Grossing | Long-time player on the same UK Entertainment Top Grossing chart |
| CrokAI: Reface Image & Video | Android | 2026-06 | 154k installs, #114–121 on the UK Entertainment Top Grossing chart | Same fake-name emails and high-priced in-app purchases ($1.99–$199.99), but it's a single package with the name "Reface" straight up to capture search; Fantyx rotates many packages |
| **Sibling package from the same white-label family** (see section 3) | Android | 2026-06 to 09 | 0.35–33k each | Same product as Fantyx, just a different name, icon, and developer account |
| Kling / HeyGen / Pixlr / VisionStory web face swap | Web | — | Big companies and mature tools | Free or cheap, no app to install; Fantyx goes after the people who "tap through from an ad to the store" |
| Open-source face swap like FaceFusion | Open source | — | — | Free but requires technical skill; not the same user base |

Conclusion: the category is extremely crowded, and Fantyx has nothing functionally unique.

### 3. Key finding: a reskin matrix, and Fantyx is just one package in it

Filtering the googleplay library for "in-app purchase prices exactly $3.99–$169.99" plus "privacy policy hosted on sites.google.com, named privacy-policy-of-X or privacypolicyofX" turns up 7 packages. The descriptions are reworded from the same template (they all include sentences like "analyzes facial contours / features, lighting" and "creative AI face swap and image transformation app"):

| Package | Name | Developer identity (real) | Launched | Installs (11-06) | Charts |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| com.jem.jemiai | JemiAI | ULTIMATE TECHNOLOGY | 06-18 | 20,378 | Sweden Entertainment Top Free #199 |
| com.lyface.zynthera | Zynthera | A. L. Purinton | 06-15 | 18,788 (AppstoreSpy estimates 11-05 has reached 25,567) | — |
| com.velmora.listface | Velmora | Leesburg Android | 06-26 | 16,832 | — |
| com.van.vantyx | Vantasyx | PT SUPREME PAPER SOLUTION (a top-three Indonesian kraft paper mill) | 09-14 | 32,805 | **France Entertainment Top Grossing 79–88** , UK 98–200, Germany, Australia |
| com.qaviro.app | Avita | PT ESOLUTION TECH INDONESIA | 09-19 | 3,522 | — |
| **com.fyx.ftyx** | **Fantyx** | **AKSA CONVERTERS (a Lahore flexible packaging maker, founded 1994)** | 09-28 | 14,735(11-03) | UK Entertainment Top Grossing #140–#173 |
| com.mynko33.aiface | Mynko | PT SINERGI ADIMITRA JAYA (Indonesian diaper maker) | 09-30 | 6,985 | France Entertainment Top Grossing 108, UK 178–193 |

Two more suspected siblings (similar pricing and privacy-policy formatting, but different descriptions, so not counted in the table above): Ambli (com.am.bli, $5.99–$199.99, privacy page privacypolicy-of-ambli) and Mylora (com.mylora.android, $4.99–$169.99, privacy page privacy-policy-of-mylora).

Evidence for the developer identities:

- The AKSA Converters website, aksaconverters.com.pk, describes itself as "a laminating manufacturer in Lahore, since 1994"; AppBrain shows this Play account has been "active for about 1 months and has only one app, Fantyx."

- The PT Supreme Paper Solution site, supremepapersolution.com, calls itself "a top-three kraft paper producer in Indonesia." The "About the developer" address on Vantasyx's store page is the factory address of this paper mill in Subang, West Java, yet its support email is solomon68smokeloke@gmail.com.

- The PT Sinergi Adimitra Jaya site, pt-saj.com, is a diaper manufacturer.

- The support emails for each package: vilemtgualsal7816@, solomon68smokeloke@, nahunmedinilla@, nishiguchirequarth521@, banditcoothaejung@, midkholhatmodjoyzst@ (all gmail). They are clearly batch-registered.

- The vantasyx.com homepage has only one line, "Hello World!" (Jina search result).

**Interpretation** : Since 2023, Google Play has required new individual developer accounts to pass a closed test (20 testers for 14 days), and organization accounts need a D-U-N-S number. Using the identity of a real operating business (manufacturing, unrelated to apps) to open an organization account is a common gray-market practice for renting or buying accounts. It gets around the individual-account hurdle and keeps the real operator safe if the account is banned. The package names and package suffixes (.ftyx / .vantyx / .zynthera) look like randomly generated brand words, which makes them easy to rotate in bulk.

**Timing** : The first batch (JemiAI / Zynthera / Velmora) launched mid-to-late June, surged from mid-July to early August, and by mid-August daily installs dropped to single digits, suggesting ads were turned off; from mid-October they were re-bought along with the second batch. The second batch (Vantasyx / Avita / Fantyx / Mynko) launched mid-to-late September and started climbing in October. From 11-03 to 11-05, the seven packages nearly all showed roughly two-thousand jumps on the **same day** : Fantyx +2,125 (11-03), Vantasyx +2,177 (11-03), Mynko +2,028 (11-03), JemiAI about +2,564 (11-03), Zynthera about +2,277 (11-03). All figures are AppstoreSpy estimates. This is the fingerprint of one ad account adding budget to the whole matrix on the same day.

### 4. Growth levers: where users come from

- **Paid acquisition (high confidence, indirect evidence)** : The install curve is a set of on-off square waves, with several sibling packages jumping on the same day; the installs-to-ratings ratio is around 1,100:1; there is no organic social chatter at all. Which platform the money went to isn't directly confirmed: the Meta ad library (metaads, from 2026-11-01) and the TikTok EU ad library (tiktokads) show **no hits** when searched by package name, app name, or developer name. But those libraries only track listed advertisers, and TikTok only shows EU-targeted ads, so no hits doesn't mean no spend. Judging from the chart positions in the UK, France, Germany, and Australia, the spend was focused on high-priced markets in Western Europe and English-speaking countries.

- **Top Grossing position** : Reaching #100–#200 on the category Top Grossing chart came from high-priced subscriptions, and a few purchases are enough (the bar is low on small-country category charts), not from install volume.

- **Ratings** : Out of 13 reviews, 1 are one-star and 5 are 6 five-star each. Incentivized ratings are possible, not verified.

- **Auto-generated download-site listings** : CNET Download, Softonic (French), AppBrain, and APKPure all have auto-generated pages. These are scraped by crawlers, not placed by the developer, and they don't bring much traffic.

- **Content and creators** : A TikHub search for fantyx / vantasyx returned 0 results; the X corpus (x-radar, last 60 days) had 0 posts; apart from download sites, a Jina web search turned up no discussion, press, or creator content at all.

### 5. Why it took off

1. **The face-swap template category is already proven as a "paid acquisition → high-priced subscription" play** : FaceApp, Reface, and FaceMagic show that users will pay weekly subscriptions for templates. White-label teams simply copy that funnel, so they don't need to validate demand.

2. **High-priced subscriptions plus Western European spend mean a single payer can cover costs** : the top in-app purchase is $169.99. Fantyx had only 15k installs and still reached #140–#173 on the UK Entertainment Top Grossing chart; sibling Vantasyx hit #79 on France Entertainment Top Grossing with just 33k installs (googleplay.chart_rank).

3. **Multiple packages and rotating accounts hedge against bans and rating collapse** : the seven packages spread the risk. Fantyx was pulled from the store after 5 weeks, but the matrix kept running (Vantasyx, Mynko, and JemiAI are still listed and still climbing, 11-06).

4. **Borrowed a real company's developer identity** to get around Google Play's closed-testing and reputation hurdles for new individual accounts, so a ban wouldn't hit the operator directly.

### 6. Differentiation

**No product differentiation.** Compared with FaceApp / Reface, the features are the same "pick a template + upload a photo → generate," even simpler (no video face-swap, and the website is just Hello World). Compared with its sister apps, the only difference is name and icon. The real difference is operational: **a one-off shell app + a borrowed company account + a budget pushed across the whole portfolio on the same day + high-priced subscriptions aimed at Western European payers** . That playbook is why it ran, and the same playbook is why each app dies young (Fantyx was pulled in week 5).

### 7. Visibility and copycats

- **Visibility: almost nobody knows about it.** No public revenue, no media, X or TikTok discussion, just auto-generated listings on download sites.

- **Copycats:** strictly speaking Fantyx itself was a copycat (the #6 app in the same portfolio). Other apps from the same white-label kit: JemiAI, Zynthera, Velmora, Vantasyx, Avita, Mynko; likely same source: Ambli, Mylora. Same playbook from other teams: CrokAI (fake-name email plus a $199.99 tier), Lab - AI Motion Video Maker (com.labgate.lab, $2.89–$184.99, and its listing also says "visual experimentation").

### 8. What others can borrow

- To judge signals like this, group all of one operator's apps by "price table + privacy-policy wording + email format + listing template." One app alone has only tens of thousands of installs, but the whole portfolio adds up to about 114k (cumulative across 7 apps), and it keeps holding spots on the Top Grossing charts in the UK, France and Germany.

- Parts worth borrowing: high-priced subscription face-swap templates have a low bar for entertainment Top Grossing charts in the UK and France. A few tens of thousands of installs can reach the top 100. Testing creatives and pricing under several brand names at once.

- Parts not to borrow: opening accounts under an unrelated company's identity and mass-cloning skins violates Google Play's developer policies. The ban risk is written into Fantyx's fate (listed for 5 weeks, then 404).

### 9. Uncertain

- No direct evidence of the ad channel (nothing found in the Meta or TikTok ad libraries). It may be Google UAC, or Meta outside our tracking list.

- Whether Google pulled Fantyx and banned the account, or the developer withdrew it: the developer page also 404, which looks more like an account ban. Unverified.

- Revenue scale: we only know it sat at #140–173 on the UK entertainment Top Grossing chart each day. The amount can't be estimated.

- Who is behind it (a white-label supplier or one team building its own) is unclear. The listing and pricing are identical, so at least the same code and backend are shared.

- Whether the rating distribution is inflated can't be judged, since there are no review texts.
