"When's your wedding, and to whom?": an astrology app bought 560K installs in South Asia with one ad line

What it is An AI astrology app on Android that bundles daily horoscopes, birth charts, compatibility, tarot, palm reading, and face reading. It has ads and in-app purchases.

Why it took off It didn't take off on its own. An app factory ran Facebook video ads from a shell page asking "When's your wedding, and to whom? First chat free," translated into more than a dozen languages including Hindi, Bengali, and Arabic, and bought installs in batches in South Asia and the Middle East where installs are cheap.

CHow you could follow it Don't build a bundle of everything, and don't go after cheap Hindi traffic. Copy its ad hook formula: make "ask an astrologer a relationship question, first one free, then pay per use" the core of the product. Test with a small Meta budget in languages with fewer similar ads, such as Bengali, Nepali, or Uzbek.

Grade C: this is the third astrology reskin from the same factory. The product has no differentiation, paid acquisition is already running, and the chart is falling. The category is crowded with the same playbook from other factories and local brands that scale many times faster. What's worth learning is the ad hooks and the small-language rollout. Copying the app itself isn't worth it. Almost nobody knows about it yet

Data 2026-10-29 → 2026-11-07 (10 days, 10 observations). Google's detail page only refreshes install counts every other day, so a flat day doesn't mean nobody installed.

Zodiakos was listed on Aug 21, and by Nov 6 it had 565K installs on Google Play. Its features match dozens of similar apps, almost nobody has rated it, and nobody is discussing it online. What drove its growth was one ad line translated into more than a dozen languages, and a publisher behind it with over ten apps. Below: where its traffic came from, how the money comes back, the signs it's declining, and what this means for you.

One Nepali ad

In 2026 Aug 30, a Facebook page called "Browser AI Tv" started running two video ads, one in Nepali and one in Bengali, with the same line:

When's your wedding? 💍 And to whom? ❤️ The astrologer can tell you everything. 🔮 First chat free 🔥

The page has only 15 likes, is categorized as "City," and has run 533 ads in total (Meta Ad Library, 11-04). It advertises more than astrology: the same page also promotes caller ID, a private browser, and walkie-talkie voice chat, 6 apps in all. A mismatch between the name and the content, and between the likes and the ad volume, is common for these ad-only shell pages in Android paid acquisition.

Over the next month, this line got translated into Arabic, Tagalog, Armenian, Kannada, and Burmese. In mid-September they swapped in a second version, still the same formula:

Our astrologers know everything about you 😯 love, marriage, career, ask anything 😍 🔮 first chat free 🔥

This version leaned on Hindi, and later they added English, Tamil, Persian, Pashto, and Uzbek versions. In the Meta Ad Library we found 48 ads leading to Zodiakos, all video with an "Install" button, more than half in Hindi.

What it is

The store page lists: daily horoscope, birth chart, couple compatibility, tarot, palm reading, face reading, plus moon phase and moon sign calculation. The description bolds search terms one after another (daily horoscope, birth chart, natal chart, synastry chart, moon sign calculator), and the package name horoscope.tarotreader.palmistry.facereader is itself a string of keywords. Contains ads, has in-app purchases, single items $3.99 to $39.99.

The ads sell "chat with an astrologer"; the store page sells an AI birth chart. The "find an astrologer to chat with, first one free" pitch Indian users know is the playbook of real-astrologer platforms like Astrotalk. Zodiakos borrowed that mental model, but the backend is AI (inferred from the "AI astro guide" positioning and the in-app purchase structure).

The traffic was bought in batches

Date (Google Play installs)Total installsWhat happened
08-31About 2,200First batch of ads launched 08-30
09-10About 25k+17.6k new installs that day, matching the second batch starting 09-03
10-05About 210k09-30 to 10-05 daily 17k–20k, matching the Hindi batch starting 09-15

11-06565k+102k in the last 7 days

Between batches, daily installs drop to a few hundred. On Oct 7 there were only 2. This is not a curve of word of mouth slowly spreading. It's a staircase: ads turned on, installs jump; ads turned off, installs flatten.

Another number confirms the users were bought: 560k installs, and the Play store page doesn't even show a rating; the reviews section is nearly empty. People brought in by an ad watch one horoscope and leave, and rarely come back to write a review.

It has never charted on any country's overall or top-grossing list, only on lifestyle free charts. At its best in Oct 29 it ranked #29 in the UAE, #44 in India, #53 in the Philippines. By Nov 6, India was at #56, the UAE and the Philippines had dropped to #98, Saudi Arabia #184, South Africa #200.

Spend is being pulled back

Looking again on Nov 4, only single-digit ads leading to Zodiakos were still running. The new ads from the "Browser AI Tv" page have shifted to pushing voice chat ("Are you lonely tonight?") and caller ID. Chart rankings are sliding in step. In other words, the publisher has likely moved budget to other apps (inferred).

Behind it: an app factory

Zodiakos's developer account is called Falcons Mobile App, and its developer website sits on a subdomain of tevo.app. Using that domain and the same contact email, we found at least 13 apps from the same company on Google Play, spread across more than 7 developer accounts:

Apps from the same publisher (Google Play, 11-06)LaunchedTotal installs

DestinyMap: Astral Oracle (astrology)2026-08-13360k
Zodiakos (this one)2026-08-21565k

Astrology alone has three apps. DestinyMap launched 8 days before Zodiakos, its package name is daily.horoscope.tarot.palmistry.facereader, differing by only two words, with an identical feature list. The same product under a different name, different account, different creatives, run in parallel, with extra money going to whichever is cheapest. By volume, Natal Chart from May was this company's main astrology app; Zodiakos was a later clone.

Who the company is and what country it's in can't be found in public information. Based on where the ads run and naming habits, it may be a Vietnamese or Indian team (unverified).

Where the money comes from

Two ways to make money. First, in-app ads: its app-ads.txt authorizes AdMob, AppLovin, Meta Audience Network, plus dozens of ad exchanges, which is the standard setup for ad monetization. Second, in-app purchases: the "first chat free" in the ads implies the later chats cost money. It has never charted on any top-grossing list, so in-app purchase revenue is probably small.

Meta installs are very cheap in India, Bangladesh, Nepal, and the Middle East, and astrology is a topic users check every day. Interstitials and rewarded videos can slowly cover the acquisition cost. This is the algorithm of these factories. How much each install costs and how much ad revenue each user generates is not visible from outside. What is visible: this company has been buying traffic continuously for over a year across a dozen-plus apps, so the books probably work (inferred).

Who it's competing with

Astrology and palm reading is one of the most crowded clone categories on Google Play over the past 2026 years, and most competitors are bigger:

Product (Google Play, 11-06)LaunchedTotal installsHow it differs
Astrotalk2017-10115MPaid consultations with real astrologers, a major Indian brand; Zodiakos's ad copy borrows its positioning
AstroSage Kundli201182.3MVeteran Vedic astrology app with professional features

AI Palm Reading(Kienmaly Mobi)2026-10-122.89M, +1.57M in 7 daysVietnamese factory app, charted in 28 countries

Beyond that, there's a string of identical apps with 150k to 2.6M installs, including Astraea, Tarova, Zeva, Horae, plus subscription-based Western apps like Co–Star, The Pattern, and Nebula. Zodiakos is small in this group, slow to grow, and not one of its features is unique.

The one thing it got right

There's nothing to say about the product. What's worth learning is in that ad line:

  • Don't sell features, sell one specific problem. South Asian users worry most about "when will I marry, and who to". The ad's first line asks exactly that, not "generate your birth chart".
  • Borrow an existing mental model. "Find an astrologer to chat with, first one free" has already been taught to Indian users by Astrotalk, so there's no need to explain it.
  • One creative set, translated into a dozen minor languages. There are few similar ads in Nepali, Pashto, Uzbek, and Burmese, so it's cheap.

If it were you

C. Don't follow this app itself, but copy its ad copy and its approach of spreading across minor languages. It's a third astrology clone from a factory: zero product differentiation, spending already pulling back, rankings falling. In this same category, a dozen-plus Vietnamese and Indian factories are using the same playbook to chase the same cheap traffic, plus local brands like Reva and Astro99 that grow more than ten times faster.

Who it suits: small teams already running Google Play tool or entertainment apps, with a Meta ad account, who can calculate the cost of one install and the ad revenue from one user; or people who want to do astrology in South Asia but plan to build a product that actually talks back.

Who it doesn't suit: anyone who hasn't run ads and is counting on organic store traffic, or anyone who wants to win with a full-featured astrology app on product strength. Nobody in this category cares how accurate your birth chart is.

How to do it: Stop building another all-in-one app with horoscope, birth chart, tarot, and palm reading. Build what the ads sell: make "ask the astrologer one relationship question" the app's only core flow, with the AI astrologer answering one question free, and charging per question after that (in India you can benchmark Astrotalk's per-minute pricing and price far below human astrologers). On language, avoid the Hindi main battlefield. Start with one or two of Bengali, Nepali, Uzbek, or Persian, and get the astrologer's tone and local customs right.

How to acquire users: Meta paid acquisition, there's no other path in this category. Follow its formula for creatives: one concrete life question plus "first one free", in the local language, vertical video. First test 20 to 30 creatives in one country with a small budget, and only raise spend once cost per install is under half of one user's first-month revenue (inferred). On the store page, put the common local-language phrases for "when will I marry" and "astrology" into the title and description.

Timing: There's no fixed festival window, but the South Asian wedding season (roughly November to the following February, not verified country by country) is when "when will I marry" searches peak. To test, get creatives running before year-end.

Signs you're reading this wrong: ① Search the Meta Ad Library for "astrologer" and "first chat free" in Bengali, Nepali, or Uzbek; if the first screen is already full of dozens of similar pages, the minor languages are crowded too. ② Your tests show users only ask the free first question and the paid second question converts very poorly; then this audience only monetizes through ads, which means the factory playbook, where small teams have no edge. ③ Zodiakos and its sister apps restart large-scale spend in December and their rankings recover; then the numbers are better than they look, and the plan deserves a second look.

Where users come from
  • Verified Meta paid acquisition (Facebook/Instagram/Messenger/Threads/Audience Network): metaads library: two Pages named 'Browser AI Tv' (one with only 15 likes, category City, 533 ads in history, 56 of them active at 11-04) ran at least 48 video ads linking to this app, first seen 2026-08-30, matching the batch launches and install spikes; ad copy translated into a dozen-plus languages including Hindi, Bengali, Arabic, Persian, Uzbek
  • Verified App factory matrix / multiple accounts, multiple skins: googleplay library reverse-lookup via developer site *.tevo.app and email [email protected] found 13 apps and 7+ accounts; the same paid-acquisition Page promoted caller ID, browser, voice chat and 5 other apps

Bottom line

It wasn't the product that took off. An Android app factory bought it up with Meta ads: the same publisher (all developer sites on *.tevo.app) spread more than 7 developer accounts across a dozen-plus "hot category + keyword stuffing" apps, and Zodiakos is one astrology app in that set. It ran multilingual video ads from fake Pages on Meta ("When is your wedding? With whom? Astrologers know everything, first chat free"), targeting India, South Asia and the Middle East. Installs rose in a "spend a wave, climb a wave" staircase, and chart rank fell as soon as spend stopped. Money comes back through AdMob / AppLovin / Meta Audience Network ad monetization and in-app purchases.

1. Growth data

  • Installs (googleplay.app_day): 2026-10-29 463,545 → 2026-11-06 565,397, +101,852 over the last 7 days (data card). Play page shows 500K+.
  • Curve since launch (googleplay.app_day_ext, backfilled from AppstoreSpy): 08-31 about 2,200; 09-09 about 7,900; 09-10 +17,589 in one day; 09-18 about 75k; 09-30–10-05 about 1.7–20k per day, 10-05 reaching 210k; 10-21 +47,116 in one day, 10-23 reaching 420k; 10-31 500k; 11-06 565k. Repeated plateaus of a few hundred or even single digits per day in between (09-26–29 about 500,10-07 per day, only 2) — not the smooth curve of organic growth, but pulsed.
  • Chart (googleplay.chart_rank, Lifestyle free category chart only, never made any overall or Top Grossing chart): 10-29 best rank when first seen in the database: UAE 29, India 44, Philippines 53, Argentina 62; by 11-06 it had slid to India 56, UAE 98, Philippines 98, Indonesia 138, Argentina 149, Saudi Arabia 184, South Africa 200. Over 9 days the UAE dropped from 29 to 98, a steady decline.
  • Ratings: the Play listing doesn't show a rating; our library has none, and the review table holds 0 entries (earliest Play review dated 2026-09-23). 500k installs with almost no ratings suggests most users were one-time installs from ads, and very few stayed to leave a review.

2. Where users come from: Meta paid acquisition (confirmed)

  • The metaads library shows two Pages both named "Browser AI Tv" (page_id 102289815491031 and 132164672369827) running ads for it: the first has only 15 likes and is categorized "City", with 533 ads run in total and 56 active at 11-04; the same Page also promoted 5 other apps (caller ID Callora, CallFilter, a private browser, Peekdial, the walkie-talkie voice chat push2talk) — a classic "fake Page + shared ad account across multiple apps."
  • We saw 48 ads landing on Zodiakos (all video with an "Install app" button, served to Facebook / Instagram / Messenger / Threads / Audience Network). The earliest was 2026-08-30, which lines up with the curve's first rise. Spend came in batches: 09-03–09-07 in one batch, 09-15–09-23 in another, 10-07–10-12 in another, 10-19–10-20 in another — roughly matching the jumps in installs at 09-10, 09-30–10-05, 10-12–10-16 and 10-21–10-23.
  • The copy is one template translated into a dozen-plus languages: Hindi, Bengali, Nepali, Kannada, Tamil, Arabic, Persian, Pashto, Uzbek, Armenian, Burmese, Tagalog, English. Two core hooks:
    • September version: "When is your wedding? 💍 With whom? ❤️ Our astrologers can tell you everything 🔮 First chat free 🔥"
    • October version: "Our astrologers know everything about you 😯 Love, marriage, career — ask anything 😍 🔮 First chat free 🔥" Hindi versions make up more than half, indicating India is the main battlefield (consistent with its most stable rank on the India Lifestyle chart).
  • By 11-04, only 2 + 6 ads driving to Zodiakos were still active (app_link.n_active). The Page moved its new ads to the push2talk voice chat ("Are you lonely tonight?") and caller ID apps. Spend was contracting, in step with the November chart decline.
  • Google Ads library: this publisher isn't in the list, so nothing found (doesn't mean it didn't spend).
  • Other channels: TikTok search for "Zodiakos" only returns a figurine studio of the same name and general zodiac content, no creator videos for this app; x-radar shows 0 posts in the last 90 days; the web has only auto-generated listings on AppBrain, APKPure, CNET Download and Indus Appstore (an app store run by India's PhonePe), with no media or reviews.
  • Store ASO: the description bolds daily horoscope, birth chart, natal chart, star chart, synastry chart, zodiac sign compatibility, moon sign calculator, palmistry, face reading and more; the package name horoscope.tarotreader.palmistry.facereader is itself a keyword string. It's a supporting tactic; the main volume is paid.

3. Who's behind it: the tevo.app app factory

The developer sites all point to <name>.tevo.app/app-ads.txt, with the contact email [email protected]. Using these two clues to reverse-lookup the googleplay library found 13 apps from the same publisher and at least 7 developer accounts (DN Solutions, Falcons Mobile App, Chrono Mobile, Vitality AI, Invoker Apps, Aegis Digital, Hand of Midas Lab, THK Global Limited):

  • The same company has at least three apps in the astrology category: Natal Chart (May), DestinyMap (8-13, package com.daily.horoscope.tarot.palmistry.facereader, nearly identical to Zodiakos), and Zodiakos (8-21). The feature list (horoscope + natal chart + compatibility + tarot + palmistry + face reading) is also the same. In other words, Zodiakos is a reskin of their own product, using different accounts and names to test creatives and regions at the same time.
  • Zodiakos's privacy policy is hosted on Google Sites; the privacy page for the Falcons account's other app PrismArt is titled "lenza-ar-draw-trace," showing these apps have been renamed and reskinned.
  • app-ads.txt authorizes AdMob (two pub IDs), Meta Audience Network (two), AppLovin, plus dozens of resellers such as PubMatic, OpenX, Rubicon and Index Exchange. This is the standard setup for ad-based monetization.

4. Where the money comes from

  • Ad monetization: Play labels it "contains ads," and app-ads.txt connects AdMob / AppLovin / Meta AN and many SSPs. Meta installs in India and South Asia are cheap (industry rule of thumb: a few cents to about ten cents), and astrology users come back daily for horoscopes, tarot pulls and palm scans, so interstitial and rewarded video can push per-user ad revenue above acquisition cost. This is how these factories do the math (exact unit prices unverified).
  • In-app purchases: $3.99–$39.99 per item; "first chat free" implies AI astrologer chats are charged per session or by subscription later. It has never charted in any country's top-grossing list, so IAP revenue is probably small.
  • The publisher has kept buying installs for more than a year across a dozen-plus apps (Live Earth Map has reached 15M+ since 2025-07), which suggests the "low-cost-region acquisition + ad monetization" model pencils out overall.

5. Competitors

Astrology, palmistry and tarot are among the most crowded "AI reskin" categories on Google Play in 2026. In the googleplay library, more than a dozen apps in the same category have grown faster than it over the last ~7 days:

In this table, Zodiakos is small and slow to gain traction, with no exclusive feature.

6. Differentiation

There's basically no product-level differentiation: the features are a full bundle of "fortune + birth chart + compatibility + tarot + palm reading + face reading", the same as DestinyMap, Natal Chart and dozens of Vietnamese and Indian factory apps from the same publisher. The only "difference" is in distribution:

  • The ad hook isn't "see your birth chart" but borrows the mindset of an Indian real-person astrology platform (Astrotalk): "when your wedding is, who it's with, first chat free", hitting the marriage and love questions South Asian users care about most;
  • One set of creatives translated into a dozen-plus South Asian, Middle Eastern and Central Asian minor languages, bought in regions with cheap CPI;
  • Multiple accounts and multiple skins tested at once, and whichever skin is cheap gets more budget.

So its run came from ad buying tactics, not product differentiation; and judging by its drop from the November chart and ad spend shifting to other apps, it isn't a priority title for this factory.

7. Visibility and copycats

  • Visibility: few people know about it yet. No media, no X discussion (x-radar 0 posts), no related TikTok content, no public revenue. Only auto-indexed sites.
  • Copycatting: this category is already a crowd of reskin apps copying each other; the same publisher has DestinyMap and Natal Chart with the same format, and Zodiakos itself is one of the followers.

8. What others can learn

  • The "hot category + keyword package names + multiple accounts and skins + Meta minor-language video ads + ad monetization" Android factory playbook is replicable, provided you have Meta buying capability and ad eCPM that covers costs. A single app's lifespan and volume are small; it relies on the matrix.
  • The ad hook is worth learning from: don't sell features, sell specific problems around "marriage / love / career" plus "first one free".
  • To differentiate in the astrology category, look at the paths of Reva (a branded Vedic AI astrologer in a single chat format) and Astrotalk (real people plus paid consultations), rather than building another full-bundle app.

9. Uncertain

  • Actual ad spend, CPI, ad eCPM and in-app purchase revenue: no data available (Meta doesn't publish commercial ad spend). The only inference is that if it keeps spending consistently, it likely covers its costs.
  • Who is behind tevo.app and which country it is in (judging from publishing region, naming and similar factory products, it may be a Vietnamese or Indian team; unverified).
