IbPro Player - Smart TV · IbPro Player

A video player removed twice: IbPro Player returned to Google Play for a third time. 7 days, 7,600 installs

What it is An IPTV player for smart TVs and Android boxes. It ships with no channels. Users import their own M3U playlists and pay once to activate per TV MAC address.

Why it took off It isn't new. An old brand that had about 2.3M installs and was removed from Play twice came back as a new listing. Its website, official tutorials, and the IPTV sellers who sell activation credits pointed old users to the new package. Video player categories in a few European countries have low bars, so a few thousand installs a week was enough to reach the top 50.

CHow you could copy it Don't build a new IPTV player from scratch. Teams that already have seller channels can learn its structure: put activation and playlists on your own web backend with per-device one-time fees, give sellers bulk credits, support all TV systems, and add the program guide it lacks.

Grade C: the traffic came from an old brand and the sellers' network that trusts it, which followers can't get. Player features are easy for anyone to write, and copycats and name-borrowing shells already crowd the category, which also gets cleaned up by rights holders every year or two. The structure (per-device billing, user assets kept off the store, seller distribution) is worth learning from, but copying the product itself isn't worth it. Chatter in small circles

IbPro Player looks like a new app listed in Sep 16. It has no ratings, yet it climbed the video player charts in the Netherlands, Spain and France. It's actually an old IPTV brand, "Ibo Player Pro": the old package had about 2.3M installs. Google removed it in April 2025, a transition package was removed in April 2026, and this is the third package. It didn't buy traffic. The traffic came back through old users and IPTV sellers. Below: what it actually sells, where the people came back from, how the money is collected, and what you can take from it.

A six-line notice

In Oct 2026 30, the news page at iboproapp.com posted a notice titled "Samsung App Removal Issue":

Our Samsung app was recently removed from the store. You can now download our older app "Ib Player Pro" from the store. But it only supports models from 2022 onward. For older TVs, download the userwidget from the website and follow the tutorial to install it.

Under the notice is a YouTube tutorial. The company's news page was last updated in September 2023. After a three-year gap, its next post was "removed again, go install another one."

It has been living like this for years. The same is true on Google Play: a user visits the website, clicks "Get it on Google Play," and lands on the third package name, com.ibpro.player.

What it sells: an empty player shell plus a device "ticket"

The store listing is restrained: IbPro Player plays IPTV playlists that users supply, with support for M3U, favorites, multilingual subtitles, and parental lock. The "how to use" section is one line: get an M3U list or link from your IPTV provider and import it.

It ships with no channels. The website FAQ is blunter: it provides no playlists and won't help you find any. "Don't buy without a playlist. No refunds." The FAQ also admits it has no program guide (EPG), which must come from the provider.

Payment is a one-time fee per device. The app is free to install and has a trial period. After the trial, you activate on the website using the TV's MAC address plus a device key. Playlists are also managed by MAC address on the website backend, not in the app. A January 2023 notice on the website listed the price as 7.99 euros per TV or device, paid once (iboproapp.com/news). Current retail price isn't stated on the homepage, unverified. The Google Play page shows no in-app purchases and no ads, so the money mostly doesn't go through Google. It goes through the website and resellers.

The reseller side has posted prices (iboplayer.pro/become-reseller, 11-06):

Activation credits bought at oncePrice eachTotal
103 euros30 euros
1002 euros200 euros
5001.5 euros750 euros
10001.25 euros1,250 euros

Contact is a Brazilian WhatsApp number and Telegram @iboproapp. A 2023 notice also listed a +86 number. On eBay and gift-card marketplaces, "IBO Player Pro lifetime activation" has been sold for around $8.

It isn't only on Play. The iOS version "ibo Pro Player" launched in June 2023. In the US store it has 14,197 ratings with an average of 4.75 (App Store, 11-06). There are also versions for LG, Roku, Windows, and Zeasn/Whale TV systems, plus the one Samsung just removed.

An easy point to mix up: there's another company, IBO DEV (iboplayer.com), with its own "IBO Player Pro" alongside about 40 other apps including BOB Player and Duplex. Pricing is 1 euros per year at 5 or 10 euros lifetime. The website listed on com.ibpro.player on Play is iboproapp.com, and the website FAQ says iboplayer.pro and iboproapp.com are two domains for the same company. The relationship between the two companies is unverified. This article covers the iboproapp.com operation.

com.ibpro.player "IbPro Player - Smart TV"2026-09-1613,767 installs, version 4.6Listed

The version numbers run in sequence, from 4.3 to 4.6. The three packages sit under three different developer accounts, but the website and the official YouTube channel each time point users to the new one, so it's reasonable to conclude they're the same operator (inference).

Removal isn't unique to this one. From 2025 Apr 7 to 10, a batch of IPTV players including VU Player Pro were pulled from Play together. In early 2026 there was another round of rights-holder legal action: Google Play and the App Store removed 36 IPTV players in one sweep, totaling 26M downloads, XCIPTV included (iptvranking.com, 2026-06). IPTV Smarters was also pulled in Spain under a court order requested by the La Liga league.

How big: not big, but speeding up

10-25About 5,600 (AppstoreSpy estimate)

In the first month or so after listing, it averaged 400 to 500 installs a day. It accelerated at the end of October, and in the last 7 days it grew by 7,600, more than doubling. Play's numbers refresh only every few days, so single-day figures can swing between 0 and 2,700.

It only charted in the Video Players free category. 10-29 through 11-06 its best ranks were #33 in the Netherlands, #40 in Spain, #54 in France, #79 in Germany, #106 in the UK, #116 in Canada; on 11-06 it hit #50 in Spain, #52 in the Netherlands, #55 in France. These category charts are easy to crack: a few thousand installs a week gets you into the top 50.

It still has 0 ratings on Play and not a single review. With tens of thousands of installs and nobody leaving a rating, it doesn't behave like a paid-acquisition app that pops up rating prompts. Users install it, activate it, and go watch TV.

Now the iOS app under the same name: 10,605 in Brazil, 7,494 in France, 6,935 in Germany, 5,919 in Spain, 3,043 in the Netherlands (App Store, 11-06). The countries where the new Play package charted are exactly these, so it's the same audience coming in through a different door.

Where people are coming back from

Old users looking for the new package. This is the biggest source. The old package had 2.3M installs, and there's a group of people who've paid on iOS and on various TV app stores. Every time Play removed the package, they had to hunt for the "official new one." The Google Play button at the bottom of every page on the official site now points to com.ibpro.player.

IPTV resellers bring people in. People who buy IPTV subscriptions usually have the player picked for them by the seller. Sellers bulk-buy activation credits from the official site and send the activation codes and install guide with each subscription sale, so they have the strongest interest in customers installing the official, working build. The seller sites already carry an IBO install guide for the 2026 version, and Facebook has an "Ibo Player Pro 2026" user group where the questions are all about activation and pricing.

Official tutorials plus store search. The official YouTube channel @IboPlayerPro posted "How to install Ibo Player Pro (IbPro Player) in Android TV from Google playstore" on 2025-06-22, and it has 208k views. Reddit tutorials say the same thing: "Open the Play Store and search Ibpro." The new package name "IbPro Player" is close enough to the old name that search finds it.

Platform events, possibly related. The new package arrived just as the European football season started. Samsung removed its TV app in Oct 30; some Samsung TV users may have switched to Android boxes or Firesticks. The timing lines up with the late-October acceleration, but causation is unverified.

Paid acquisition: none seen. No ads, no Google in-app purchases, no ratings, nobody has talked about it on X in nearly 60 days, and TikTok searches turn up nothing substantial.

On the player features, it's no different from these rivals, and it lacks a program guide. The difference is the business structure: it charges a one-time fee per device, and users' activation records and playlists live on its own servers, not in any store account. When the package gets removed, a new package under a different name goes live, old users' activations still work, and growth can restart the same day. On the TV side it also has few competitors: Samsung and LG TVs can't sideload, TV stores don't handle subscription billing well, and activating by MAC address on a web page is almost the only convenient way to charge.

How well known is it?

It's well known in its own niche and almost unknown outside it. Among IPTV users and sellers, "IBO Player Pro" is a name everyone recognizes, with plenty of install guides, "alternatives" articles, and Facebook groups. Revenue isn't public, no media outlet has covered it, and product builders rarely discuss it. Six or seven name-borrowing shells already exist.

If it were you

Verdict: copy its structure, not its category. IbPro's growth this round came from something a follower can't get: an old brand with 2.3M installs, plus a seller network that recognizes the brand. The player itself is easy to write, dozens already exist on the market, and the name-borrowing shells are crowded too.

Who it suits: people who already have a channel. For example, a team already doing white-label work for IPTV sellers or TV box makers, or someone with connections in a particular language's seller community who can get sellers to specify your player. Those people can follow its approach and move billing and user assets off the app stores.

Who it doesn't suit: indie developers who want to build a new IPTV player from zero, relying on organic Play traffic. A new package gets no return traffic from old users, so cold start requires paid acquisition or borrowing a name. The first means competing on price with the ad shells; the second means becoming the next shell to get reported. Anyone unwilling to deal with copyright disputes should stay away too: this category gets cleared out every year or two, and packages last just over a year on average. Samsung's store just removed it.

How to do it (if you have a channel):

  • Keep activations and playlists on your own web backend, bind them to device MAC addresses, charge once; the app is just an entry point that can be swapped at any time.
  • Open bulk credits to sellers with a clear price ladder (it sells 10 at 3 euros each and 1000 at 1.25 euros each), so sellers sell for you, teach users for you, and handle support for you.
  • Don't miss any TV platform: Android TV, Firestick, Samsung, LG, Roku, plus Zeasn/Whale which it covers. The hardest-hit channel was Play, and TV manufacturers' stores are its foundation.
  • The only visible gap it leaves is that it has no program guide. Building a version with a built-in guide, where playlists can be imported with the TV remote, is the most direct improvement (inference; how many users care about a guide is unverified).

How to get users: not by buying ads, but by working with sellers. Every language's IPTV seller community (Telegram groups, Facebook groups, seller sites) is looking for a stable player that won't suddenly stop working. You can give the first batch of credits away for free, then pair it with a YouTube install guide covering every kind of TV, showing exactly which store to search and what name to type.

How long the window lasts: there's no fixed deadline. The rhythm of the window is set by rights holders and platforms: before the next round of mass takedowns, each new package has a while to live; when the next big cleanup hits, the whole category goes to zero at once.

What would mean you read it wrong:

  • If com.ibpro.player gets removed again within a few months while its iOS and TV ratings keep climbing, that shows keeping user assets on your own servers really does survive package removals, and that the structure is worth more than this article estimates.
  • If it gets removed again and this time the official site doesn't put up a new package, and users in the community start discussing other players, that means the cost of this path has outweighed the return. Don't go in.
  • Conversely, if one of the name-borrowing shells (for example Ibo Player Smarter, with 320k installs) starts publicly selling reseller credits and taking sellers away, that means the brand isn't the moat either. The seller network is; whoever signs the sellers first wins.

IbPro Player - Smart TV (com.ibpro.player): why it's charting

Channel: Google Play | Developer account: IbPro Player (website iboproapp.com / iboplayer.pro) | Store debut: 2026-09-16 | Research date: 2026-11-06

Bottom line

This isn't a new product. It's Ibo Player Pro, an old IPTV player for smart TVs, relisted on Google Play for the third time. The old package com.ibopro.player had roughly 2.3M installs before it was removed in a crackdown on IPTV players and vanished 2025-04. The transition package ibpro.smart.player reached over 500k installs before it was removed too, 2026-04-20. This time the official website, the official YouTube channel and the install tutorials from IPTV sellers all point users to the new package. Users are returning old customers and IPTV sellers' clients, not people brought in by paid acquisition. Its moat is the brand name, an activation system based on MAC address plus device key, and a network of resellers who sell activation codes in bulk. The player features themselves are nearly identical to dozens of rivals.

1. What it is

  • An empty-shell IPTV player that ships no content. Users import their own M3U playlists (per the Play Store page description). The website FAQ states plainly: "We do not provide any playlists" and "Don't pay without a playlist, no refunds" (iboplayer.pro/faq).
  • Business model: the app is free to download with a trial period, after which devices are activated by MAC address + Device Key. Playlists are managed by MAC in the website backend (iboplayer.pro/manage-playlists). 2023-01 The price announced on the official site is a one-time 7.99 euros per device (iboproapp.com/news). The current retail price was not visible on the homepage, unverified. The Play Store page shows no in-app purchases (googleplay.app_snap shows offers_iap = False, ad_supported = False), so the money mostly doesn't go through Google billing. It goes through the website and resellers.
  • Reseller price list (iboplayer.pro/become-reseller): 10 activation points for 30 euros (3 euros each), and 1000 points at once for 1250 euros (1.25 euros each). Contact details are a Brazilian WhatsApp number (+55) and Telegram @iboproapp. An announcement from 2023 also lists another number, +86.
  • It's on multiple platforms: iOS as "ibo Pro Player" (seller IRBOETECH CO., LIMITED, listed since 2023-06, 14,197 ratings in the US store, average 4.75, via iTunes lookup), plus Samsung Tizen, LG webOS, Roku, Windows, and Zeasn/Whale OS (download section of the website). The app on the Samsung store was 2026-10-30 removed, and the official site told users to install the older "Ib Player Pro" instead (iboproapp.com/news).

Watch out for the name clash: the recall card lists "iboplayer.com / IBO DEV Ltd / activation.iboplayer.com 1 year 5 euros, lifetime 10 euros". That's a different company, IBO DEV's "IBO Player family", which includes IBO Player, BOB Player, Duplex and about 40 apps (mtivi.app 2026-11-02 article). On Play, com.ibpro.player lists iboproapp.com as its developer website (googleplay.app), and the official FAQ says iboplayer.pro and iboproapp.com are two domains for the same company. Both are called "IBO Player Pro", and users and third-party sites often mix them up. Whether the two are related is unverified. This article treats it as the iboproapp.com entity.

II. Growth data

  • Installs (googleplay.app_day): 10-29 was 6,167,11-06, 13,767,7 days later +7,600, more than doubling. Play refreshes the figures every few days, so daily gains bounce between 0 and 2,753.
  • Since launch (AppstoreSpy estimate, app_day_ext): 10-25 about 5,600, working backward roughly 480 per day. So after launching on 9-16, growth was slow for the first month and a bit, picked up in late October, and from 10-28 on was 600 to 1,000 a day.
  • Charts (googleplay.chart_rank, 10-29 to 11-06): it only charted in the VIDEO_PLAYERS free category. Best positions: Netherlands 33, Spain 40, France 54, Germany 79, UK 106, Canada 116; Brazil, Italy and Poland were below #180.
  • Ratings: it still has 0 ratings on Play (app_snap.ratings is empty), and the earliest review in the database is from 10-22. Tens of thousands of installs with zero ratings suggests it doesn't push reviews the way paid-acquisition apps do. Users install it and go straight to activation on the TV.
  • Compared with the same brand on iOS (appstore.app_profile): Brazil 10,605, France 7,494, Germany 6,935, Spain 5,919, Netherlands 3,043 ratings. Over 7 days, new ratings were +168 in Brazil, +96 in Germany, +88 in France. iOS users are concentrated in these countries, and the new Play package charted in the same ones, which suggests it's the same pool of existing users.

  • The version numbers run consecutively (4.3 to 4.6). The official YouTube channel @IboPlayerPro posted "How to install Ibo Player Pro (IbPro Player) in Android TV from Google playstore" 2025-06-22, with 208k views (YouTube page). The brand has consistently told users to "search IbPro on Play". A tutorial on Reddit r/DownloaderList says the same: "Open the Play Store and search for Ibpro Smart Player".
  • The removals were part of a sector-wide cleanup: 2025-04 was one wave (VU Player Pro and iptv stream smart player were both removed between April 7 and 10). In early 2026 rights holders took legal action that led Google Play and the App Store to remove 36 IPTV players at once, totaling 26M downloads, including XCIPTV (iptvranking.com 2026-06, velko.tv). Smarters was also pulled in Spain under a court order requested by LaLiga.

V. Where users come from

  1. Returning users and IPTV sellers bring people back (confirmed). IBO's users are people who already paid on a smart TV or box, and their IPTV provider or seller tells them which player to use. The website and FAQ's "Get it on Google Play" button links straight to com.ibpro.player. Seller sites like iptvproviders.pro have had IBO install guides for 2026 years. Facebook has an "Ibo Player Pro 2026" user group where people ask about activation and pricing.
  2. Reseller activation-code network (confirmed). The official site publishes reseller point prices, 1.25 to 3 euros each. On eBay and buysellvouchers, people sell "IBO Player Pro lifetime activation" for around 8 dollars. IPTV sellers who sell subscriptions also sell player activations on the side, so they have a reason to steer customers to a package that works.
  3. Official YouTube tutorials and store search (confirmed). The @IboPlayerPro channel has install videos for Android TV, Firestick, Samsung and LG. The Android TV one has 208k views. Users search "ibo pro" or "ibpro" on Play, and the new package name "IbPro Player" differs from the old name by only a little.
  4. Platform events (partly confirmed). The new package launched in the middle of the European football season (September). 10-30 Samsung's store removed its app, so some Samsung TV users may have switched to Android boxes or Firestick. The timing lines up with the acceleration in late October, but causation is unverified.
  5. Paid acquisition (not found). No ads, no Google in-app purchases, no ratings, and no prompts for reviews. Our ad library doesn't track it. X has had no relevant discussion in the last 60 days (x-radar), and TikTok search turned up nothing useful.

VI. Why it's working

  • The brand already exists. The old package had 2.3M installs, iOS has over 14k ratings, and there are TV users on Samsung, LG and Roku. Each time Play removes it, users look for the "official new package".
  • Someone else distributes it. IPTV sellers hold reseller points and send activation codes and tutorials to their customers. That's a B2B2C structure.
  • The bar for charting is low. The VIDEO_PLAYERS free charts in the Netherlands, Spain and France let a few thousand installs in 7 days reach the top 50.
  • The countries where it charted match the distribution of iOS's long-time users (Spain, France, Germany, Netherlands, Brazil), which suggests the new installs are migration from existing users.

VII. Differentiation

There's no feature differentiation: M3U, favorites, parental lock and subtitles are all standard, and the FAQ admits there's no EPG. What is different is the business structure:

  • It charges a "player usage fee", one-time per device, with no ads;
  • Smart TVs (Tizen, webOS) don't allow sideloading, and manufacturer stores have no convenient subscription billing, so users have to activate by MAC on the website. This leaves players like IBO with almost no competition on TV, while they are weaker on phones.
  • The reseller channel spreads it and handles support for it.

Together with the existing brand, these are why it's picking up again. The new Play package is just one entry point for existing users.

8. Visibility and copycats

  • Revenue isn't public, there's no media coverage, and no one is discussing it on X. But "IBO Player Pro" is a well-known name in IPTV circles, with plenty of tutorials, "alternatives" articles (mtivi, softonic) and Facebook groups. So it's a "talked about in a niche" case. Its audience is IPTV users and sellers, not product builders.
  • There are already many name-jacking copies (see the competitor table), and Ibo Player Smarter alone has 320k installs, more than the official new package.

9. What to borrow

  • In a category where you can't create the content yourself, build a neutral tool, charge once per device, and open bulk point sales to channel partners so sellers do the selling and the teaching for you.
  • Keep user assets (MAC activation records, playlist management on the web) on your own servers, not dependent on a store. When a package gets removed, relist under a new package name; existing users' activations remain, so growth can restart quickly.
  • Risk: this category gets cleared out by rights holders again and again, and Play packages average a bit over a year before being removed. The Samsung store has just removed it too. Copying this model means preparing multiple package names and platforms, and accepting that you could drop to zero at any time.

10. Uncertainties

  • Current retail price and annual revenue unverified; the relationship between iboproapp.com (IRBOETECH) and IBO DEV (iboplayer.com) is unverified.
  • com.ibpro.player's store listing date 9-16 may have been reset; whether the three packages share one operator can only be inferred from continuous version numbers and the website links.
  • The late-October acceleration may be due to Samsung delisting, a season, or sellers migrating together; unverified.
  • No idea how long before this package gets removed.
