# A lamp that lights up, a one-ruble trial: LAMPA VPN sold into Russia 550k phones in six weeks

**What it is** A paid Android VPN that only sells to Russians. A personified desk lamp lights up to show connection status, and only once the connection is verified. Banking and government services skip the VPN, one subscription covers the whole family, and payment is taken in rubles through Russian local payment rails outside the store.

**Why it took off** Russia keeps tightening its VPN blocks, so everyone has to switch to a new one every few months. It buys AI-made ads at volume inside mobile games, takes a 1-ruble trial first, then auto-renews into a weekly subscription to earn back the ad spend. When Happ was pulled in Nov 2, LAMPA caught the overflow.

**C** **How you could follow** Don't try to fight head-on in Russia. Big players running the same playbook, like Ping and Pipl, are already there. A team that already runs anti-blocking nodes and offshore payment channels could port the conversion design (the lit-lamp status, direct local-service bypass, activation codes, family sharing, local payments, low-cost trial to weekly subscription) to another market where blocking is escalating, and buy users through in-app ad networks.

Grade C: the money is real and almost nobody is paying attention, but following it requires three things that are hard to build from scratch: anti-blocking nodes, an offshore entity that collects local currency, and in-app paid acquisition. The Russian market is already crowded with players running the same playbook, and apps can be pulled at any time. What's worth learning is the conversion design, not copying the play itself. Few people know about it yet

LAMPA VPN is a paid VPN that only sells to Russians. The developer is a mobile game studio in Montenegro, and the money is collected in rubles by a Dubai company. There is no free tier. Ads inside games pull people in, and the trial costs 1 rubles before it auto-renews at 299 rubles a week. From mid-October to Nov 6, installs on Google Play rose from a few thousand to about 559k. Below: what it sells, why these six weeks, how the money comes in, and whether you should enter this market.

### A comment from a 13-year-old

In Nov 5, LAMPA VPN got a three-star review on the Russian Google Play listing: "Can you make a free version with ads? I'm only 13, I don't want to ask my parents for money, and I don't want to spend my allowance. Millions of people can't find a good free VPN."

The day before there was another: "I don't want to pay with my mom's card!" Earlier, on Nov 3: "Your ads run way too long inside a game, and they repeat over and over."

These three reviews pretty much sum up the app. The users are young, pushed to look for a VPN because YouTube, Telegram, and Roblox won't open. They first saw it in mobile game ads. Once they tap in, the first screen asks them to pay.

### What it is

An Android VPN starring a personified desk lamp. The Russian official site slogan is "Горит — значит работает": the light is on, so it's working. The lamp has 8 poses. When off, it hangs its head and closes its eyes. While connecting, it leans forward with a dim glow. Only when traffic is verified to be leaving its own server does it stand up, open its eyes, and light up fully. If it's connected but the exit isn't confirmed, the lamp tilts to one side and dims, prompting you to switch countries. Other VPNs show "Connected" the moment the link comes up. This one only lights the lamp after verifying it actually works.

Three other things are aimed squarely at Russian users:

- **Direct local services** : banking, shopping, maps, food delivery, and Госуслуги (Russian government services) skip the VPN, and everything else goes through it. In Russia, not being able to open a banking app while the VPN is on is a daily annoyance.

- **No sign-up** : pay on the official site, and you receive an activation code on screen and by email. Enter it in the app and you're in.

- **One subscription for the whole family** : pay per device, 89₽ extra per device per week or 250₽ per month.

The official site's hero section also says: "If it doesn't work, we'll refund you. But first we'll do everything we can to make it work."

### Where the money comes from: 1 rubles, then 299 a week

Official pricing (11-06): 299₽ for a week, 800₽ for a month, 5,990₽ for a year (499₽ per month equivalent). Payment runs through СБП (Russia's Fast Payment System) or bank cards, and the checkout page sits on the domain of the Dubai company Noltra Trading. Google Play can't process payments in Russia, so almost all the money is collected outside the store. A third-party estimate puts its Google Play in-app revenue from Oct 5 to Nov 4 at under $5,000. That figure doesn't show what it actually earns. It only shows that the money doesn't flow through the store.

The app has a hard paywall: you have to pick a plan the moment you open it, and there's no way to close it. The same flow keeps coming up in reviews: pay a 1-ruble trial for a day or a week, then 199 or 299 rubles is auto-charged when it ends. One one-star review from Nov 4 did the math: "299₽ a week! Home Wi-Fi isn't this expensive." Another the same day: "I paid 1 rubles, deleted the app, and the next day they charged me 199 anyway."

So the ratings look bad. The US store page sits at 1.8 stars, with a histogram that has only one-star and five-star bars. The Russian page is at 3.6 stars (11-06). But the review count is climbing fast, from 11-01 at 697 to 11-06 at 1,554, adding a hundred or two a day. Every review gets a reply from support, and any complaint gets pushed to the Telegram support bot. Five-star reviews often say things like "support was understanding and gave me a plan that fit," and the share of five-star reviews climbed from 11-01% at 20 to 33% at 11-06.

### Why these six weeks

**Demand kept rising.** By late February 2026, Russia's communications regulator had restricted 469 VPNs (habr). In August, more than 20 major VPNs stopped working at once (euronews, 08-05). Starting in July 14, Google, Apple, and GitHub wouldn't open at all without a VPN (klerk.ru). VPNs were already everyday items in Russia, and you had to switch to a new one every few months.

**The biggest rival suddenly disappeared.** Happ was one of the most-used VPN clients in Russia, with 32.4M installs on Google Play. In Nov 2, its store page turned into 404, and it wouldn't open in Russia, the US, or Germany. The official explanation was a problem with the developer profile. In September it had already vanished from the Russian App Store once. LAMPA's fastest-growing two days (11-01–02, estimated at about 105k installs a day) fell right here. But it was already adding ten to twenty thousand a day from Oct 21. Happ's removal poured fuel on the fire. It didn't start the fire.

Install trend (Google Play global cumulative, third-party estimate):

| Date | Total installs |
|---|---|
| 10-13 | About 5,100 |
| 10-20 | About 23k |
| 10-26 | About 118k |
| 10-31 | About 230k |
| 11-02 | About 441k |
| 11-06 | About 559k |

After Nov 3 it settled back to about 30k a day. The store doesn't break installs down by country, but its chart positions say a lot. Its best rank on the Netherlands Tools free chart was #6 (11-03). Russia-focused VPNs like Ping VPN, Pipl VPN, v2RayTun, and Amnezia also top out on the Netherlands Tools chart. It's reasonable to infer that most of these 550k installs came from Russia (inference).

### Where users come from: in-game ads, not bloggers

Searching "lampa vpn" or "лампа впн" on TikTok and X turns up no official account and no creator videos. It also doesn't appear in the Meta or TikTok European ad libraries. The likely reason: since Sep 1 2025, Russia has banned advertising VPNs, with fines of up to 80k rubles for individuals and 500k for companies (RIA, Forbes.ru). Creators won't take the work, and big platforms won't run it.

Comments show where it's been advertised: "your ads inside a game are too long" (11-03), "it pops up while I'm watching a movie" (11-03), "why not make the ads better instead of cramming in random AI garbage" (11-04), "the ad says it's free, but you have to pay after downloading" (several each for 11-03 and 11-04). In other words, it bought AI-made video ads at volume inside mobile games and video apps, and at least some of the creatives made people think it was free. The only channels in Russia that can run VPN ads are VK Ads, Yandex, and various in-app ad networks. Mankrik is a mobile game studio to begin with (its site says it was founded in Budva, Montenegro, 2022, and the same developer account also has a tower defense game with 67k installs). So buying game-based user acquisition makes sense (inference).

There may also have been a lucky boost: "Lampa" was already a popular Russian media aggregator app, and Russian-speaking users often discuss the "Lampa needs a VPN plugin" setup. People searching for "lampa" on Play may have stumbled onto it. There's no evidence this was deliberate.

### Who it's competing with

| Product | Scale (Google Play installs) | How LAMPA differs |
|---|---|---|
| Happ | 32.4M, 11-02 pulled | Free protocol client; subscriptions have to be bought elsewhere. After the removal, a wave of knockoff versions appeared in the store. |
| v2RayTun | 21.8M | Client that requires importing your own configs by hand, so the barrier to entry is high. |
| Ping VPN | 20.8M, +600k a week | Listed on 2026-02, also a Dubai entity, also Russia-only, nearly 40 times LAMPA's scale. |
| Pipl VPN | 13.4M, +350k a week | Name includes "рабочий впн" (working VPN) directly, capturing search traffic. |
| Premium VPN | 5.37M, +450k a week | Individual developer account. |
| Vsem VPN | 1.56M, +350k a week | A newcomer listed on 2026-05, also named after search keywords. |
| Telegram bot VPNs | Not verified | Promoted on TikTok, with a free 3–5 day trial and prices starting at 25₽, far cheaper than LAMPA. |

LAMPA is the latest and smallest of this group. One three-star review put it bluntly: "The VPN is fine, it's just too expensive. Better to use Happ, same thing and cheaper."

### Is the lamp why it took off?

No. Almost no reviews mention the lamp or the split routing. The recurring themes are the paywall, auto-charges, and "the ad said it was free." It took off because of three things: Russia's urgent need for a VPN combined with Happ's removal (timing), game-ad user acquisition (getting users), and a 1-ruble trial converting to a weekly subscription (collecting money). The lamp, direct routing, activation codes, and family sharing make people who already tapped in more willing to pay and more likely to remember it. Among a pile of rivals named "working VPN," it at least has a face (inference).

Almost nobody is paying attention to this yet. There's no public revenue data, no media coverage, and nothing in Chinese or English discussion circles. Even in Russian-speaking circles, it's just one of many VPNs.

### If it were you

**Verdict:** This is a business that really makes money, but the barrier to entry isn't the product. It's servers, payments, and paid acquisition, three things that are very hard to build from zero. The Russian market is already packed with players running the same playbook. What's worth taking is its conversion design, not going head-to-head with it in Russia.

**Who it suits:** Teams already running anti-blocking nodes (Xray / Reality-style), with an offshore company and a local-currency payment channel, who have bought users through in-app ads before. Ideally someone who speaks Russian or the language of another heavily censored market.

**Who it doesn't suit:** Solo indie developers who can only build apps. VPN costs come from nodes getting blocked, rotating IPs, and fighting DPI. Collecting local currency requires an offshore entity. User acquisition can only go through game ad networks, and the creatives have to pass review. And in this line of business, developer accounts can be pulled at any time, the way Happ was.

**How to do it:** If you build this, change the market, not the playbook. Look for countries where blocking is escalating, Google Play payment is awkward, and local quick-payment rails exist (e.g. Iran, Turkmenistan, Myanmar, Pakistan; payment conditions per country not verified). On the product, copy LAMPA's conversion layer: a status light that only turns on once the connection is verified, direct connections to local banks and government services, activation codes with no sign-up, one subscription covering the whole family, and off-store local payment. The pricing can borrow LAMPA's cheap trial that converts to a weekly subscription, but make cancellation easy to find in one glance. A common complaint in its bad reviews is "still charged after deleting the app". In any market that turns into refunds and delisting risk, and with minors it's worse.

**How to get users:** In-app ad networks (rewarded and interstitial video in mobile games and video apps), with lots of creatives rotated fast. In countries that ban VPN ads, influencers and big platforms basically won't work. Store names with local keywords like "works" or "stable" capture search traffic.

**When to move first:** The window follows the blocking, not the calendar. The next large-scale block or a delisting of a major client is a reshuffle. Get nodes and payments ready before that, because setting them up after the event is too late.

**Where the read could be wrong:** ① LAMPA's daily installs fell to a few thousand by December and its rating count stopped growing, which suggests paid acquisition isn't paying back and this playbook won't survive another cycle; ② Happ returned to Google Play, and LAMPA's growth visibly slowed right after, which suggests it was mostly absorbing Happ's overflow; ③ Google delisted a batch of VPNs from offshore entities targeting Russia, so the developer-account shell alone doesn't protect you.

Where users come from

- **Verified** **Paid ads (AI-generated creatives, channel unknown, possibly VK, Yandex, or in-app ad networks)** : several Russian reviews say "на рекламе было бесплатно" (the ad said it was free), "рандомный ии слоп" (random AI slop), "в рекламе ... без ограничений" (the ad said unlimited); 0 entries in the Meta and TikTok European ad libraries

- Inferred **Platform event: Happ delisted from Google Play** : Happ 11-02 page 404 (recomixtech.com); LAMPA was adding about 105k a day in the same window, but it was already ramping from 10-21

- **Verified** **Timing: Russia's VPN crackdown escalates** : RKN has restricted 469 VPNs (habr 2026-02), several VPNs failed at once in August 20 (euronews), and since 7-14 Google and Apple won't open without a VPN (klerk.ru)

- Inferred **Store search / piggybacking on the "Lampa" media app name** : Lampa is a popular Russian media app often mentioned alongside VPN plugins; no direct evidence

- **Verified** **Review management** : every review gets a templated reply, and negative reviews are steered to Telegram support; the share of 5-star reviews went from 20% to 33%

## Why LAMPA VPN (com.lampavpn.app) took off

> In one line: a paid VPN for Russian users (no free tier). The developer account sits under Mankrik DOO, a mobile game company in Montenegro, and payments go through Noltra Trading in Dubai. It relied on paid ads (per reviews, AI-generated video ads) plus a model of "1 rubles trial, then 299₽ auto-renewing weekly". It reached 559k installs in 6 weeks. In 2 Russia's leading VPN client, Happ, was delisted from Google Play, right in the days LAMPA was growing fastest. Its differentiators (a personified lamp that lights up, Russian-service routing, one subscription for the whole family) show up mainly in branding and conversion. What actually got it off the ground was paid acquisition, Russia's steadily tightening blocks, and a "clean" offshore developer shell.

### 1. Basic data (googleplay library, 2026-11-06)

- Developer: Mankrik (Play page says Mankrik; iOS seller name MANKRIK DOO). The mankrik.com site describes itself as a mobile game studio founded 2022 years ago in Budva, Montenegro. The same account also has a tower defense game, Overcore (67k installs). Support email is support@noltrasoft.com, the privacy page is on lampa.mankrik.com, and the website is lampavpn.com.

- Launch: the store says 2026-09-20; the AppstoreSpy curve starts at 10-05 (app_day_ext).

- Installs (cumulative worldwide, app_day / app_day_ext, AppstoreSpy estimates): 10-07 about 500 → 10-13 about 5,100 → 10-20 about 22.6k → 10-26 about 118k → 10-31 about 230k → 11-02 about 441k → 11-06 about 559k. Daily adds rose from 10-21 to 1–15k/day, 10-29~31 about 37k/day, 11-01~02 peaked around 105k/day, and after 11-03 fell back to about 30k/day.

- Rating count: 11-01 is 697,11-06 is 1,554, growing 100–220 per day. The US page shows 1.8 stars (the histogram has only 1-star and 5-star bars, 1 stars 1,036,5 stars 518); the Russia page shows 3.6 stars and 1,610 ratings (r.jina.ai reading play.google.com, hl=ru&gl=ru).

- Charts (chart_rank): best Netherlands Tools Top Free rank was 6 (11-03), best Netherlands overall chart rank was 80 (11-02), German Tools chart 43–111, UK Tools chart 71–168, occasionally charting in Sweden. Russia is not among the 30 storefronts we track. **The Dutch Tools chart is effectively a proxy chart for Russian demand** : Pipl VPN, Ping VPN, Vsem VPN, v2RayTun, Amnezia, and Premium VPN, all aimed at Russia, have best_cat_chart entries that are all "TOOLS free nl". So most of the 559k installs likely came from inside Russia, not the Netherlands, Germany, or the UK (this is an inference; the store doesn't split installs by country).

- In-app purchases: $4.23–$234.99, excluding ads. AppGazers estimates that during 10-05~11-04 Google Play in-app revenue was under 5,000 US dollars (search summary). That fits, since Google Play payments don't work in the Russia storefront and money mostly moves off-store.

### 2. What the product is and how it charges

- The Russian-language site lampavpn.com/ru uses the slogan "Горит — значит работает" (lit means working). The main character is a personified desk lamp, and 8 poses map to connection states: off, checking, verified, exit not confirmed, reconnecting, switching servers, connection failed. The light only turns on once traffic is verified to be leaving its own servers.

- "Direct routing": banking, shopping, maps, food delivery, and **Госуслуги** (Russian government services) skip the VPN, and everything else goes through it. The Play listing states it plainly: "Прямой маршрут для российских сервисов" (direct route for Russian services).

- No sign-up: after paying you get an activation code to enter in the app, and one subscription can invite family members via "seats".

- Pricing (website): 299₽ per week, 800₽ per month, 5,990₽ per year (about 499₽ per month); each extra device adds +89₽/week, +250₽/month, +2,190₽/year. Payment is via **SBP (Russia's Faster Payments System) and bank cards** , with payment links at pay.noltrasoft.com. Support runs through Telegram (t.me/lampasupport_bot).

- The payee, Noltra (noltrasoft.com), calls itself "Noltra Trading L.L.C", a Dubai software publisher targeting the Middle East and Asia-Pacific, yet every price is listed in rubles. Its own lineup includes a VPN called "Noltra Connect" (RUB 299/year). It looks like an offshore entity set up to collect payments from Russia.

- The app has a **hard paywall** : you pick a plan as soon as you open it, with no free tier. Russian reviews (the latest 80 pulled with google-play-scraper, 11-04~05) repeatedly mention "1 rubles trial, then 199 / 299 rubles charged the next day / after a week". So the real funnel is: 1₽ trial → auto-converts to a weekly subscription.

### 3. Why users showed up now (timing)

- Russia's blocking has been escalating through 2025–2026. By the end of February 2026, Roskomnadzor had restricted 469 VPNs (habr.com/ru/news/1003760). In August several major VPNs stopped working at the same time (ru.euronews.com 2026-08-05 20). From July 14, Google, Apple, and GitHub wouldn't load in Russia without a VPN (klerk.ru). Mobile networks also have "whitelists" and shutdowns (lots of TikTok content tagged #обходбелыхсписков and #обходглушилок). VPNs have become a daily necessity, and they need replacing constantly.

- **Happ delisted from Google Play** : Happ is one of Russia's largest VPN clients, with 32.4M installs in the library. In November 2 its Play page became 404. Google said it was a D-U-N-S data error, and users had to download the APK from GitHub (recomixtech.com 2026-11-02, citing t.me/happ_proxy/141). By September Happ had already disappeared from the Russia App Store. LAMPA's fastest growth stretch was the 10-31~11-02 observation window (AppstoreSpy estimates about 105k/day), which overlaps this delisting. But its ramp started at 10-21, so the Happ delisting poured fuel on the fire rather than started it.

- A batch of other new VPNs aimed at Russia also started growing in the same window: Ping VPN (listed 2026-02, 20.8M installs, +600k in 7 days), Pipl VPN (2026-213M, +350k), Vsem VPN (2026-51.6M, +350k), Premium VPN (+450k). The whole category is growing, and LAMPA was the latest and smallest of the bunch.

### 4. Where users come from (growth tactics)

- **Paid ads (confirmed, from user reviews)** : "на рекламе было бесплатно но когда скачал то нужно было платить" (the ad said free, but after downloading you had to pay, 11-04); "в чём прикол сделать рекламу получше, нежели рандомный ии слоп" (why not make the ad better instead of random AI slop, 11-04); "реклама у вас ... сказали без ограничений" (your ad said unlimited); "Реклама, реклама"; 10-11 English and Russian reviews say "зачем в рекламе говорите что бесплатное" (why does the ad say free). This points to large-scale AI-generated video or image ads, and at least some creatives implied the app was free. We didn't find the ad channel: lampa, mankrik and noltra don't show up in the Meta or TikTok EU ad libraries (metaads and tiktokads libraries: 0 results). In Russia the main places you can buy ads are VK Ads, Yandex Direct and in-game ad networks, and our libraries don't cover those (inferred). Mankrik makes mobile games, so it likely knows in-app user acquisition (inferred).

- **The audience is very young** : reviews include "не хочу тратить с маминой карты" (I don't want to spend from my mom's card), "как некоторые игры в роблоксе" (like some games on Roblox), and "мне не разрешают платить на впн" (my parents won't let me pay for a VPN). These users are teens pushed toward VPNs because YouTube, Roblox and Telegram are blocked, which fits the traffic profile of mobile game ad networks.

- **Store search / name piggybacking (possible, not verified)** : "Lampa" was originally a popular Russian film aggregator app (top.rootu.lampa, listed on RuStore, with dedicated posts on 4pda), and Russian-speaking users often discuss "Lampa плагин VPN" (TikTok discover page). Searching "lampa" or "lampa vpn" on Play may send some traffic its way. We found no evidence it's deliberate name piggybacking.

- **Review management** : almost every review gets a templated reply (for positive ones, "Спасибо за отзыв! Очень рады…"; negative ones are always pointed to the Telegram support bot). The share of 5-star reviews dropped from 11-01% to 20% and the 11-06-star share rose to 33% (app_snap histogram). Some reviews say "поставлю 5 если исправите" (I'll give 5 stars if you fix it) and "поддержка вошли в положение и предложили…" (support was understanding and offered a workaround), which suggests support actively wins back bad reviews and turns them into good ones. We found no evidence of fake reviews.

- **TikTok / X organic content** : a TikHub search for "lampa vpn" and "лампа впн" found no official LAMPA or creator videos (@lamp_vpn_ is an unrelated account with 575 views); x-radar also returned only 0 results. Russian-language VPN content on TikTok is mostly promotion for Telegram bot VPNs (furavpn, clodpay, lumuxvpn, etc.).

| v2RayTun | Android | 2024-04 | 21.8M | Also a client, but you have to import configs, so the barrier is high. |
| Ping VPN (Exyte ECM FZCO, Dubai) | Android | 2026-02 | 20.8M, 7 days +600k | Almost the same playbook: Dubai entity, targeting Russia; 40 times the scale. |
| Pipl VPN(PIPL NETWORK LLC) | Android | 2026-02 | 13.4M, +350k | The name literally says "рабочий впн" (working VPN), targeting SEO keywords; LAMPA leans on its brand and an anthropomorphic desk lamp. |
| Vsem VPN | Android | 2026-05 | 1.56M, +350k | A similar newcomer, named "Рабочая сеть" (working network). |
| Premium VPN(Roshchupkin Fedor) | Android | 2024-09 | 5.37M, +450k | Individual developer account. |
| Amnezia VPN | Android / open source | Relatively early | 6.91M | Open source and self-hostable, aimed at technical users |
| Proton VPN | All platforms | 2019 | 137M | Has a free tier and an international brand, and is often blocked in Russia. |
| Telegram bot VPNs (furavpn, clodpay, lumuxvpn, Always Net, etc.) | Telegram + TikTok | 2025–2026 | Not verified | Relies on TikTok content + a free 3–5 day trial + low prices (e.g. 25₽); LAMPA has no free trial and is much more expensive. |

### 6. Differentiation, and whether that's why it took off

- Product differences: (1) connection status is shown as a desk lamp that "lights up" only once the connection is actually verified, not as soon as you connect; (2) direct routing for Russian services (banks and Gosuslugi are unaffected by the VPN, a real pain point for Russian users); (3) no sign-up, activation codes, one subscription covers the whole family; (4) accepts the way Russians pay, including SBP.

- These are mostly conversion-layer design that lowers payment friction, not acquisition drivers. The complaints in reviews repeatedly mention the paywall, charges, and ads that say free; almost nobody mentions the lamp or the routing. It got traction mainly from: strong Russian VPN demand plus Happ's removal (timing), paid acquisition (distribution), and a 1₽ trial converting to a weekly subscription (monetization). The differentiation at most helps it convert and build brand recall better than the "рабочий впн" keyword packs (unverified).

### 7. How many people have seen it

- No public revenue, no media coverage, 0 posts on X, and no related content on TikTok. Data platforms (AppBrain, AppGazers, APKPure) have auto-generated pages. Almost nobody in the Chinese or English-speaking world knows it; in the Russian-speaking market it's just one of many VPNs.

- Copycats: none found that specifically copy it. But the playbook of "offshore entity + targeting Russia + new package name" for VPNs is already crowded (Ping, Pipl, Vsem, etc.).

### 8. What to borrow

- The full playbook for VPNs in a heavily censored market: publish under an established offshore developer account (a mobile game company) to distance it from politically sensitive categories; take payments off-store using local methods (SBP); the app itself only offers activation-code login.

- Turning the technical status into an emotional mascot (the lamp's 8 poses) to build brand memory among a sea of look-alike utilities.

- 1₽ trial plus weekly subscription, using auto-renewal to recover paid acquisition costs; the cost is bad reviews (1.8–3.6 stars), plus refund and compliance risk around minors.

### 9. Uncertain

- No data on the country breakdown of installs (Russia isn't among our 30 storefronts). "Mostly from Russia" is inferred from Russian reviews, ruble pricing, and the Dutch agency chart.

- We didn't find the specific ad channels (VK, Yandex, in-app ad networks) or spend. The "AI ads" in reviews only show that ads exist, not where they run.

- Actual paid conversion, retention and refund rates are unknown. Off-store SBP revenue is completely invisible; AppGazers estimates Play in-app revenue at under $5,000, so it's of limited reference value.

- The real owners of Mankrik and Noltra, and whether they're linked to same-playbook products like Ping VPN, are unverified.

- The gap between the US and Russian ratings is this large (1.8 vs 3.6), reason unknown, possibly calculated per storefront.
