# Enter your own number and it also "finds a bunch of messages": how a Turkish WhatsApp snooping app squeezed into the top 10 of Parenting

**What it is** A WhatsApp "snooping" app for the Turkish market only: enter a number and it shows "messages found". To see them you first pay $11.99–54.99, yet the store listing calls it a family monitoring tool.

**Why it took off** Starting Oct 19, it ran Turkish-language video ads on Facebook, buying about 500 installs a day. Turkey's Parenting category has a low bar, so that volume was enough to reach the top 10 of the free chart. Then "show that messages were found first, charge later" converted impulse payers.

**D** **How you could follow it** Don't follow this category; borrow the playbook instead. Pick a small country and a low-bar category, work out how many installs it takes to reach the top 10, then batch-test vertical video on Meta with a hook that hits the impulse directly. Make the product something that stays within the rules and delivers what it promises.

Grade D: this category has been on Google Play for years, with leaders above ten million installs, and four or five new apps appeared in Turkey alone in the second half of 2026. Lirolit's only difference is the fake-result paywall. Following it means running a scam, and the whole category sits on the edge of WhatsApp's terms and Google Play's tracking policy, so it could be removed at any time. Few people know about it yet

Data (updated daily) · first launch 2026-10-14 · 11-07 installs 6,105

Android · Total installs worldwide

Data 2026-10-29 → 2026-11-07 (10 days, 10 observations). Google's detail page only refreshes install counts every other day, so a flat day doesn't mean nobody installed.

Lirolit hit Google Play in Oct 14, got 6,105 installs in three weeks, and by Nov 6 ranked #7 on Turkey's Parenting free chart. The store page calls it a family tool for "protecting your family's digital safety". The Facebook ads say "enter a number and see when they come online on WhatsApp". User reviews say "it shows messages found first, then asks for money". These three stories don't match, and that mismatch is the business model. Below: what it actually is, what got it going, where the money comes from, and whether it's worth following.

### A five-star one-star review

In Oct 29, a Turkish user wrote on Lirolit's store page: "Friends, this is fake. I entered my own number and it said a bunch of messages came in, but it won't show them unless you pay. They're scammers." He gave five stars. Another five-star review the same evening said only: "Don't, don't even think about downloading."

The next day a one-star review was more specific: "As soon as you open it, it says it found them, then asks you to pay. After you pay, progress is painfully slow. Really, it takes forever."

Looking back, at Oct 22 Turkish time, at 11:11, 13 and 15 minutes past the hour, three five-star reviews came in within four minutes: "Good, recommended", "Recommended, works well", "I can see the messages ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐". The listing now shows 4.0 stars from 25 reviews (Google Play Turkey store, 11-06). The timestamps explain how that average was built.

### What it is

The same product tells three different stories:

| Where | What it says it is |
|---|---|
| Google Play store page (Turkish) | "Enter a name and phone number, and link the WP session with the other person's consent", "helps you protect your family's digital safety in a consensual, transparent way", listed under Parenting |
| Privacy policy (noventifyllc.com, updated 9-25) | Collects "WhatsApp Web session info linked via QR code", and the session "can only be established by the account owner scanning the code themselves" |
| Facebook ads (page name "Lirolit-WP Mesajlarını Gör", meaning "See WP messages") | "Want to know when someone is online on WhatsApp? Add their number and track the moment they come online and how long they stay. Download Lirolit now and see it instantly!" |

Put the three side by side, and the only thing it can really do is the line in the privacy policy: the other person scans a code and logs WhatsApp Web onto your phone. WhatsApp's official "linked devices" feature does this for free. The ads sell "spying", the store page says "family", and the app delivers a fake "found" and a $11.99–$54.99 paywall (in-app purchase price range, 11-06).

The store description also promises "permanent one-click deletion of all records", while the same page's data safety section says the phone numbers you enter are shared with third parties, data is transmitted unencrypted, and the developer provides no way to delete data (Google Play data safety page, 11-06).

The developer is listed as LLXA STUDIO, and as Lirolit LLC on AppBrain, with this as its only app. The policy page sits on a "marketing agency" site assembled from stock photos, and nothing shows who is actually behind it. It hasn't been updated since the Oct 21 update to 1.8.1.

### Why it reached the top 10 in three weeks

**Paid video ads.** Searching "Lirolit" in the Meta Ad Library (Turkey store, 11-06) turns up this page running 22 video creatives, all with identical copy. The earliest went live Oct 19 8 creatives ago, and new ones have been added since 10-23, 10-26, 10-30, 11-01 and 11-02. About half are tagged "under 100 impressions," so they're still testing new creative. The install curve fits: Oct 29 1,960 installs, Nov 6 6,105 installs, then 4,145 more installs in 8 days, roughly 500 a day. It's flat, which looks like a fixed budget being spent (Google Play installs; daily figures are third-party estimates). One reel is reportedly at 540k views, with commenters saying it breaks up families (unverified).

**We picked a category with a low bar to clear.** On the Turkey Parenting Top Free chart for Nov 6, the top 10 are serious parenting apps like pregnancy trackers, Findmykids, and FlashGet, and only two peers sit alongside Lirolit: #3 Luvlog (local Turkish app, launched August, 50k installs) and #6 whoSeen (920k installs). On this chart, a few hundred Turkish installs a day is enough to reach the top 10; put the same volume in Tools or Communication and it wouldn't place. Parenting has one more upside: framing it as "family safety" makes it less likely to be pulled as tracking software. From Oct 29 to Nov 6, it stayed between #7 and #10 on this chart, and climbed from #64 to #47 on Top Grossing.

**A hook everyone understands.** Suspecting a partner, or wanting to see who a child is talking to: those impulses need no explanation. The ad only needs one sentence, and by the time someone clicks, they already have a specific number in mind.

Searching "lirolit" on TikTok turns up no videos, and nobody on X has mentioned it in nearly 30 days. Outside APK download sites and data aggregators, there's no discussion online. Its traffic is all bought.

### Where the money comes from

The funnel is clear from the bad reviews: enter a number → instantly "a bunch of messages found" → pay to see them → after paying, "processing", and it's very slow. This isn't a subscription business; it's a one-time-payment business. The people who arrive suspicious are most willing to pay at the moment of "found".

How much can it make? Being #47 on Turkey's Parenting Top Grossing shows people are paying, but not many. Estimating 6,000 installs, a few percent paying, and $10–20 per payer, the cumulative total so far is roughly several thousand dollars (estimate). Meta traffic in Turkey is cheap, and the math only works if you recover ad spend before the one-star reviews pile up and it gets reported and removed. Throwaway developer accounts and a listing stopped updating a week after launch suggest the operators were planning exactly that (inference).

### Who it's competing with

Almost everyone. This category has been on Google Play for years (Google Play install counts, 11-06):

| Product | Launched | Installs | How Lirolit differs |
|---|---|---|---|
| Dual App - Web Scanner | 2022-09 | 44.9M | Also a WhatsApp Web wrapper, but openly sold as "dual-app", from $1.99 |
| Web Scanner - Dual App(Longnine) | 2025-04 | 11.3M, 7 days +200k | Same, spread globally |
| Dogsix online tracking | 2022-03 | 11.8M | Genuinely builds activity logs, $1.99–19.99 |
| Check-Chat / Findmesaj / WaRadar | 2019–2022 | 3.73M–8.89M | Activity logs; WaRadar also charts in Turkey's Top Grossing |
| When / LastLog / WhatEye 3 and others | 2019–2023 | 1M–1.8M | Long listed under Parenting. Lirolit copies their playbook |
| whoSeen | 2024-01 | 920k | On the same Turkey Parenting free chart, #6 |
| Luvlog | 2026-08 | 50k, +18k in 7 days | Turkish-made, family disguise, Parenting #3, the closest contemporaneous rival |
| WaSeen / DiaLog / LogWa | 2026-07 to 10 | 2k–9k | A batch of new Turkish "WP online tracking" apps |

In the second half of 2026, four or five new apps like this appeared in Turkey alone. Lirolit differs from them in only two ways: a higher price and a more aggressive fake result. Its biggest rival is still WhatsApp itself: it lets users hide "online" and "last seen" from specific contacts, and the more the people being watched understand that setting, the less this category works.

### If it were you

**Verdict:** Worth knowing about, not worth following. This isn't an empty market; it's a production line that has run for years, with leaders above ten million installs. Lirolit arrived last and got onto the chart through paid traffic and a low-bar category. Its only "new" element is the fake result, which is exactly where the bad reviews, refunds and removals come from.

**Who it suits:** Teams already running paid utility apps in Turkey, the Middle East or South America that buy Meta traffic, and who want to learn how a small country's obscure category can put a product on the chart with a few hundred installs.

**Who it doesn't suit:** Indie developers building something long-term. The category sits on the edge of WhatsApp's terms of service and Google Play's policy on tracking apps. Running the fake result is running a scam. Building an honest activity-log tool means competing with veterans like Dogsix and Findmesaj, which have tens of millions of installs and charge less than you.

**If you want to borrow the playbook:** Take the method and apply it to a category that stays within the rules. First check the country and chart you're targeting, and how many daily installs the free top 10 requires (a few hundred for Turkey's Parenting). Pick a product that naturally belongs in that category but whose competition isn't concentrated there. The store page, the ads and the product must all describe the same thing.

**How to acquire users:** Build a dedicated landing page like theirs, with a hook that states the user's exact thought out loud. Produce 20+ vertical video creatives within a week or two, test with a small budget in a low-cost country, and cut your cost per install before scaling spend. Don't fake reviews: five-star ratings arriving three in four minutes are obvious to anyone.

**When it's too early:** For this category, the question isn't when to enter but when it gets cleared. If Google Play tightens its tracking-app policy, or WhatsApp changes its online-status or linked-device rules, the whole batch could come down at once.

**Signs that would show this read is wrong:** (1) Lirolit is still live at the end of December, has passed 50k installs, and reaches the top 20 of Turkey's Parenting Top Grossing, which would mean the fake-result funnel survives bad reviews and country-switching still has room. (2) The same family-disguise playbook appears in the top 10 of Parenting charts in other languages (Arabic, Indonesian, Spanish) and holds for a month, which would mean the "switch countries" path works. (3) By mid-2027, one of the new apps from the second half of 2026 (Luvlog, Lirolit and the rest) reaches 500k installs, which would mean the removal risk described here is overstated.

Competitors

| Name | Where | Launched | Scale | How it differs from this one |
|---|---|---|---|---|

Where users come from

- **Confirmed** **Meta paid video ads** : The Meta Ad Library (TR) shows 22 sets of live creatives, Page "Lirolit-WP Mesajlarını Gör", with new ones added from 10-19 to 11-02. Copy: "Add a number and track when they come online and how long they stay online." A recalled card logged a single reel with 542K views.

- **Confirmed** **Category arbitrage (Parenting)** : The Turkey Parenting Top Free chart #7 needs only about 400 installs a day to get on. From 10-29 to 11-06 it held steady at ranks 7–10.

- Inferred **Incentivized or fake reviews** : 10-23 and 10-26 saw a cluster of short 5-star reviews that contradict the negative ones (googleplay reviews).

- Inferred **Organic content / social** : TikTok search for "lirolit" returns 0 results, and x-radar shows 0 posts in the last 30 days.

## Why Lirolit (com.lirolit.app) showed up

### Bottom line

Lirolit is a "WhatsApp snooping" app from a newly registered shell developer in the Turkish market, listed on Google Play as "family monitoring." It got traction not because of the product but because three things stacked: first, Meta paid video ads (starting at 10-19, in Turkish, promising "enter a number and see when they're online"); second, deliberately listing in the low-barrier Parenting category, where a few hundred installs a day gets it into the top 10 of the Turkish free chart; third, a high paywall at $11.99–$54.99 plus a funnel that shows fake results before asking for money. The product itself has no edge. This category already has dozens of apps on Play, the biggest in the tens of millions of installs. It's a follower, not an originator.

### Data (our database, googleplay, as of 2026-11-06)

- First listed on the store 2026-10-14. The developer name shows "LLXA STUDIO" (AppBrain lists it as "Lirolit LLC", renamed). Contact email lirolit@outlook.com, privacy policy hosted at noventifyllc.com/lirolit/gizlilik (in Turkish, last updated 2026-09-25). noventifyllc.com is a "marketing agency" template site stitched together from Unsplash images, with no visible real entity behind it.

- Global cumulative installs 6,105, +4,145 over the last 7 days. Daily observations: 10-29 1,960 → 10-31 3,358 → 11-02 4,890 → 11-06 6,105. AppstoreSpy estimates roughly 400–510 new installs per day since 10-28. That's quite steady, looking like a fixed-budget ad spend rather than organic growth.

- Rankings: Turkey Parenting Top Free went from #9 on 10-29 to #7 on 11-06, holding at ranks 7–10 throughout. Turkey Parenting Top Grossing climbed from #64 to #47. In 16 other storefronts, the Parenting Top Grossing chart sits at #52–56, nearly identical ranks, which suggests a shared roll-up chart rather than real paying users in those countries.

- In-app purchases $11.99–$54.99 per item, no ads. Store page 4.0 stars with 25 reviews (web 2026-11-06), in the 5K+ install tier.

- No updates since version 1.8.1,10-21.

### What it actually is

- Store description (English): "Enter a name and phone number, link a WP session with consent, and view linked records under Previously Scanned … helping you protect your family's digital safety." The full text avoids the word "WhatsApp" and uses "WP" instead, likely to get past trademark and policy review.

- The privacy policy (in Turkish) is more direct: it collects "WhatsApp Web session information linked via QR code," and says a session "can only be established by the WhatsApp account owner scanning the code personally." So the part that actually works is just a WhatsApp Web wrapper, like the "Web Scanner / Dual App" type.

- The ad copy promises something else. In the Meta Ad Library (country TR, searching "Lirolit", captured 2026-11-06), 22 sets of creatives all use the same copy: "Want to know when someone is online on WhatsApp? Add their number and track when they come online and how long they stay online. Download Lirolit now and see it instantly!" That's the "last seen / online tracker" pitch.

- User reviews (Turkey storefront) show how the funnel works: "I entered my own number, it said I had a bunch of messages, but wouldn't show them unless I paid. Scam" (10-29); "Found it right away, then asked for payment, and after paying it's extremely slow" (10-30,1 stars); "Says free, don't believe it, it charges" (10-25,1 stars). The same period also had several 5-star reviews clustered on 10-23 and 10-26, such as "süper çalışıyor tavsiye" and "mesajları gösteriyor ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐", which don't match the negative reviews and look like fake reviews. Stranger still, some negative reviews also gave 5 stars ("sakın. indireyim deme", meaning "don't you dare, don't install it").

- Bottom line: ads promise to snoop on someone's online status and messages, the app shows a fake "found it" result, then a $11.99–$54.99 paywall appears, and after payment "slow progress" keeps the user waiting. What it can actually deliver is close to zero. The recalled card reached the same conclusion: "the product cannot actually read any WhatsApp data."

### Competitors: this category is already crowded (googleplay database, 2026-11-06)

| Product | Form | Launched | Installs | How Lirolit differs |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Dual App - Web Scanner(360 Tool) | WhatsApp Web wrappers | 2022-09 | 44.9M | Established, in COMMUNICATION, openly a web dual-app, cheap (from $1.99) |
| Web Scanner - Dual App(Longnine) | Same as above | 2025-04 | 11.3M, 7 days +200k | Orders of magnitude bigger, global reach |
| Dogsix - Online tracker | Last seen tracking | 2022-03 | 11.8M | Actually records online status, priced $1.99–$19.99 |
| Check-Chat / Findmesaj / WaRadar | Last seen tracking | 2019–2022 | 3.73M–8.89M | WaRadar is also on the Turkey Top Grossing chart (COMMUNICATION #53) |
| When / LastLog / Online Monitor / WhatEye 3 and others | Last seen tracking, filed under PARENTING | 2019–2023 | 1M–1.8M | Used "parenting" as cover early on. Lirolit copied this playbook. |
| whoSeen(Firearrow) | "Usage details for parents" | 2024-01 | 920k | Same time as Lirolit on the Turkey Parenting Top Free chart, #6 |
| Luvlog (Beivors Bilişim, Turkey) | "Family status tracking" | 2026-08 | 50k, +18k in 7 days | Local to Turkey, Parenting category, disguised as a family tool, #3 on the Turkey Parenting Top Free chart. It's the closest contemporary rival. |
| WaSeen / DiaLog / LogWa (all Turkish developers) | "Wp online tracker" | 2026-07 to 2026-10 | 2k–9k | Same batch as Lirolit: Turkish copy, "Wp" shorthand, new shell developers |
| mSpy / Eyezy and others | Web-based paid monitoring software | Long-established | Big | Requires installing on the target phone, higher prices, lots of Turkish-language SEO content |
| WhatsApp's official "linked devices" | Big-company features | — | — | Free, multi-device login by scanning a code. This is what Lirolit can actually do. |

Bottom line: there's no empty market, just a mature pipeline: WhatsApp snooping demand, a parenting disguise, high-priced subscriptions, and Meta paid acquisition. Turkey is a hot market for this category, with at least 4–5 new local shell apps appearing in the second half of 2026.

### Growth channels

1. Meta paid video ads (confirmed): The Page is named "Lirolit-WP Mesajlarını Gör" (roughly "See WP messages"). The ad library shows 22 sets of live creatives, with start dates spread across 10-19 (8 sets), 10-23 (8 sets), 10-26, 10-30, 11-01, and 11-02. All are videos with identical copy. 11 sets are labeled "impressions <100", showing ongoing creative testing. During recall, a single reel had 542K views and 589 likes, and the comments include people complaining it breaks up families (from the recalled card; I did not re-verify the view count this time). Ads started running on 10-19, and the install curve has held steady at 400–500 per day since 10-28, which matches up.

2. Category arbitrage (confirmed): It was placed in Parenting rather than the more competitive Tools or Communication categories. The Turkey Parenting Top Free chart #7 needs only about 400 installs a day, and charting itself brings some extra store exposure. Using "family digital safety" as cover also lowers the risk of Play removing it as stalkerware.

3. Incentivized or fake reviews (suspected): a cluster of 5-star short reviews on 10-23 that contradict the negative reviews.

4. Organic channels: TikTok (TikHub search for "lirolit", 0 results), X (x-radar, 0 posts in the last 30 days). Beyond APK aggregator sites and data sites, there's no discussion on the open web. Meta's own Page isn't on our metaads tracking list (not finding it in the library doesn't mean it didn't run ads).

Where the money comes from: first-payment revenue. People who click the ads come in with a strong urge to "catch" someone (suspecting a partner of cheating, wanting to see a child's messages), and after seeing the fake "found a bunch of messages" result, they impulsively pay from $11.99. Turkey Parenting Top Grossing #47 shows people are paying, but not in large volume. Based on 6,000 installs and a conversion rate of a few percent, cumulative revenue is likely only in the low thousands of dollars (unverified). Meta CPI in Turkey is very low, so the business math is cheap traffic × high-priced impulse payments, collecting the money before bad reviews or takedowns catch up.

### How visible it is

Nobody's heard of it yet. No media coverage, no X or TikTok buzz, just auto-indexed pages on AppBrain, Softonic, CNET's download library, chrome-stats and Similarweb. The category itself (WhatsApp online tracking / message snooping) is an old, public playbook and already crowded.

### Differentiation

Almost none. Compared with the veteran last-seen trackers and Web Scanner, its only differences are: newer throwaway developer accounts, Turkish-only ads and policy pages, and a higher price cap ($54.99). The so-called differentiation is packaging, not features: it calls WhatsApp "WP", files under the Parenting category, and uses "consent from the other person" wording to get past review. It gets distribution not from differentiation but from paid acquisition and a low category bar.

### What's worth borrowing (the tactics only, not the fraud)

- Small-country, low-competition categories have a very low chart bar (Turkey's Parenting: about 400 installs a day gets you into the top 10), which makes them a cold-start lever for a new app.

- Use one strong hook in ad copy, batch-test creatives continuously on Meta (20+ sets went live within two weeks), and buy cheap traffic in low-cost markets.

- Risk warning: this kind of app runs on false promises, so bad reviews and takedowns come fast (throwaway developer accounts, and no updates after 10-21 are signs of a hit-and-move-on pattern). Not worth copying.

### Unknowns

- Real paid conversion and revenue, and how many of the 542K views were bought exposure.

- Whether it comes from the same people as WaSeen / DiaLog / LogWa / Luvlog (all Turkish, 2026 years old, "Wp" shorthand). No direct evidence found.

- The real entities behind the three names "LLXA STUDIO", "Lirolit LLC" and "Noventify".

- How the "fake messages" are actually shown inside the app. No install-and-test was done.
