# Turkey bans social media for under-15s, and kids move into a one-person "mini Instagram"

**What it is** A web-based "mini Instagram" built by one Turkish developer: posts, stories, Reels, DMs and chat rooms. At sign-up you pick between a roleplay account and a real-person account, two circles that can't see each other. No ads; revenue comes from VIP bubbles and badges.

**Why it blew up** Turkey's under-15 social ban was announced on 10-10 and took effect on 11-01. Each date brought its own wave of installs. The app already had a group of roleplay users who'd been repeatedly banned on Instagram, and they recruited others on TikTok, catching the kids asking "where do we go after the ban?"

**C** **How you could follow** Don't copy it in Turkey, and don't build a generic alternative. If you already have a niche youth community, build it a home before bans take effect elsewhere, like Greece (2027-01) or the UK (spring 2027), and do age verification from day one.

Grade C: the traffic came from a one-off regulatory event and faded within three days. Users are minors, paying users are few, and the app itself falls under the ban, so the more famous it gets, the more likely it is to be named. The timeline and the seed-community tactics are worth learning from; copying the whole thing is not worth it. Few people know about it yet

LothElmor is a social app that a Turkish indie developer wrapped from a web app, looking almost identical to Instagram. Turkey's under-15 social ban took effect on Nov 1. On Nov 3 alone it gained over 20k installs and climbed to #6 in the Turkish Play social chart. Three days later it was down to around three hundred installs a day. This piece covers how it caught that wave, why it didn't keep people, and whether you should wait for the next country to ban it.

### A line like "when it shuts down there on Nov 1, I'm moving here"

On Oct 25, someone left a review on LothElmor in the Turkish App Store: "I'll switch to this app when 1 kasımda kapanınca"... (I'm moving here because the other one shuts down in Nov 1). A week ago, on Oct 18, another review was titled "The best app for getting around the social media ban".

"That one" means Instagram and TikTok. This year Turkey passed 7578 law in April, the implementing rules were published in the official gazette on Oct 10, and they took effect on Nov 1. Under-15s can't open new accounts. Existing accounts must complete age verification through e-Devlet (the government online ID system) before Mar 31 of 2027, or they're closed. Accounts for ages 15 to 18 default to private, can't go live, and can't use infinite scroll feeds. According to the Turkish service of Deutsche Welle, about 17.5M children are affected.

Two dates, and LothElmor's installs spiked each time (Google Play installs; before late October the figures are third-party estimates):

| Date | Total installs | Daily new installs on the day / daily average |
|---|---|---|
| October, mid | 1,000 to 2,000 | — |
| 10-22 | 21,974 | 9,742 |
| 10-27 | 41,334 | About 3,000/day |
| 11-01 | 47,311 | 5,881 |
| 11-02 | 54,565 | 7,254 |
| 11-03 | 75,133 | 20,568 |
| 11-06 | 76,147 | About 340/day |

On the Turkish Play social free chart it ranked #27, then #28 in late October, rose to #11-02 on 11-03 6,11-06, then slipped back to #29. On iOS the same curve played out: #10-28 74,11-01 9,11-06 179 on the Turkey social free chart. From Oct 29 to Nov 6, LothElmor was the only new Turkish-made social app in the top 40 of the Turkish Play social chart, surrounded by big-company and stranger-chat apps.

### What it is

Built by one person. The Play developer name is Tayfun Yanaz. It launched on Android in Aug 2 and on iOS in Aug 18. Technically it's just a website: the Android version is a TWA (a web page packaged directly as an app), which is how it ships on all three platforms at once.

The features were added one by one, copying Instagram plus TikTok: posts, stories (with polls, questions, and music), Reels, DMs (voice notes, disappearing messages, consecutive-chat-day streaks), public chat rooms, a few multiplayer mini-games, and watching movies together in rooms. The line reviewers repeat most is "almost exactly like Instagram."

Only one thing is truly distinctive: **at sign-up you choose RP or RD** . RP is a roleplay account: playing idols, anime characters or fictional personas. RD is a real-person account. Posts and chat rooms in the two circles are invisible to each other.

No ads. Revenue comes from VIP / VIP+: exclusive chat bubbles, badges and extra exposure. In-app purchases on Play are priced from $1.49 to $30.99, and a recent update added "gift VIP to a friend." The official site says "all features are free, VIP only covers looks and exposure." The site claims 11-06 members and 58,649 posts (self-reported 54,876 times).

### It already had a group of people before the ban

The RP / RD design wasn't added at random. Turkish teenagers have a large RP-account community on Instagram, and these accounts are often banned by Meta as impersonation. A September Instagram screenshot has someone writing "I'm that Rayne whose account keeps getting banned... we follow each other on Twitter and LothElmor"; another post directly asks "is lothelmor the app made by the RP crowd?" An iOS review from Oct 26: "Perfect for people who keep getting banned on Instagram, Meta doesn't like me."

So before the ban arrived, LothElmor was a small RP hangout of a thousand or two people. Once the ban was announced, those people became its salespeople. There's also context: Discord has been blocked in Turkey since Oct 2024, so teens had already lost one place to gather (this is inference; there is no direct evidence linking it to LothElmor).

### Where users came from: kids' own TikTok videos

The official TikTok account has only 39 followers and 1 videos. The recruiting was done by users themselves:

- On Oct 15, @_ice_x0 posted "Ağalarım reklam değil tavsiyem" ("Bros, this isn't an ad, it's my recommendation"), with 40,434 views;

- On Oct 31, @iddonnntknow posted "the closeness we'll have on lothelmor after Nov 1", with 30,019 views;

- The same day, @destinaa_fenasin_fenaa's video was just one line: "the app is called LothElmor", with 8,555 views;

- Dozens more videos from the gacha and Adopt Me communities end by plugging their LothElmor accounts and asking for follows; some people made videos bragging about getting VIP+.

On Oct 17 and 18, the Turkish App Store listing got over twenty five-star reviews. Many had a title of just "." or "-" and similar content ("the admins are really attentive", "the vibe is very friendly"), which looks like users being encouraged within the app to rate it (inference). One person wrote "I got my whole class to install it too."

There's no evidence it ran paid acquisition: a solo developer, no ads, paid features limited to cosmetics, so it likely didn't (inference). Media hasn't covered it either. The only mention is a Nov 2 entry on ekşi sözlük, Turkey's largest anonymous forum: "There are quite a lot of users aged 10 to 15, your kid might be using it behind your back."

### Why it didn't hold people

**First, it's also covered by the ban.** Users have relayed in reviews that the developer said publicly they were "not affected by the Nov 1 restrictions", and that line became a selling point for recruitment. But according to Turkish law firms' reading, the rules apply to all "social network providers", and LothElmor is no exception; it's just too small to have been checked yet. Threads already has people complaining "someone tell the folks who moved to lothelmor that it's also bound by the ban." Before Australia's under-10 ban took effect in Dec 16 last year, Yope, which also positioned itself as a haven, jumped from #316 to #1 on the App Store within a week, then regulator eSafety sent it a letter requiring a self-check (ABC News, 2025-12-02). The more users and fame, the easier it is to be named.

**Second, the experience is that of a wrapped web app.** Negative reviews focus on lag and slow loading, the old problem of wrapped web apps; another complaint is admins banning accounts at will ("banned for a year over a joke").

**Third, the migration momentum faded.** From Nov 4, only three hundred-plus installs a day were left, and charts on both stores were falling. Total installs across platforms exceed the official member count, so many people installed without signing up. Monetization is also thin: iOS charted in the Turkish social Top Grossing only once, on Nov 2, at #151.

### Who it's competing with

| Competitors | What it is | Compared with LothElmor |
|---|---|---|
| Instagram / TikTok | Turkish social chart #1–2 | Does age verification and removes under-15 accounts; LothElmor is their stopgap replacement |
| UnTidl | A Turkish-built web / Windows / Android community | Also pitched as "where to go after the ban"; one recommendation video on TikTok at 10-18 views 36,155; built like Discord with servers, voice and study rooms, not mimicking Instagram, with no RP section; can't be found on Play |
| Yaay | A 2020-year-old Turkish homegrown social app, 1.25M installs on Play | Also rode the moment back into the Turkish social chart at #17–22 in early November, but its users are adults and the atmosphere leans political |
| Whee, Litmatch, OmeTV-style apps | Stranger matching, voice rooms | Consistently ranks #7–30 on the Turkish social chart; not "all of Instagram moved over" |
| Telegram | Group chats and channels | No stories, no Reels, no Shorts |

I haven't seen anyone directly copy LothElmor. Almost nobody knows about it: revenue isn't public, no press coverage, and no discussion on X in the past two months.

### If it were you

**C: Worth learning from, not worth chasing.** The lesson is a timeline: when a country adds age gates to the big platforms, it publishes a date and an effective date, and local-language small alternatives each get a wave of free traffic, provided you already have a small community the big platforms pushed out. The catch: that traffic comes fast and leaves fast, the users are minors with thin spending, and what you build is exactly what the law regulates.

**Who it fits** : community operators who already have a thousand or two people in a particular country's teen subculture (RP, gacha, a game's player group), who were going to build their own space anyway and just got a tailwind; solo devs who can ship web plus TWA across three platforms.

**Who it doesn't fit** : anyone counting on this to make money (decorative VIP plus minor users, likely a few hundred to a few thousand dollars a month, my estimate); anyone trying to copy it in Turkey now (LothElmor and UnTidl already took the spots, and the migration wave has already receded); anyone who can't handle regulator attention or app store removal.

**How to build it** : don't make a big all-in-one "Instagram alternative." Build a home for one community. Insider design like the RP section is why LothElmor had users before the ban. Web first, TWA for Android, iOS later. Do age verification from day one, and rather than saying "unaffected by the ban," describe the gate as "RP community for ages 15+." Monetize the way it does: bubbles, badges, gifting VIP to friends.

**How to get users** : have insiders make short videos themselves, not official accounts. LothElmor's most-viewed clips are user posts saying "this isn't an ad, it's a recommendation." Before the effective date, get seed users ready with "after the ban, we're here" videos.

**How early** : watch the calendar. Greece's under-15 ban takes effect January 2027, the UK's under-16 in spring 2027, UAE's under-15 mid-2027 (compiled from Wikipedia's "Online age verification laws by country", 11-06). Before any of these, grow your seed community at least two to three months ahead.

**Signs you misread it:** ① LothElmor went from a few thousand daily installs in late December back to chart positions around #20, so it isn't a one-time spike, and retention looks real. Raise your estimate. ② After the 2027 Mar 31 age-verification deadline for old accounts, it had another run and wasn't penalized, so the "small platforms don't get policed" loophole is bigger than it looked. ③ The reverse: if Turkey's cybersecurity agency, Apple, or Google delisted it before then, this route is mostly a dead end.

Competitors

| Name | Where | Launched | Scale | How it differs from this one |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Instagram / TikTok | Big-company features | 2010 / 2017 | Turkey Play social chart #1 and #2 | The ban requires them to implement e-Devlet age verification and block accounts under 15; LothElmor is their alternative, and it even caters to RP accounts |
| UnTidl | Web | 2026 (unverified) | TikTok recommendation videos with 36,155 views; not in the Play library | Also pitched as "where to go after the ban," but built like Discord, with servers, voice, and study rooms, not a copy of Instagram, and no RP section |
| Yaay Social Media | Android | 2020 | Play 1.25M installs; 11-02 to 11-04 it re-entered the Turkey social chart at #17–22, 7 days +3,333 | A domestic social app with official backing, aimed at adults and the political climate, not at teens or RP |
| Stranger-matching apps like Whee, Litmatch, Timo, OmeTV | Android | 2018–2026 | Tens of millions to hundreds of millions of installs, consistently at #7–30 on the Turkey social chart | Stranger matching and voice rooms, not a full Instagram alternative |
| Discord | Big-company features | 2015 | Blocked in Turkey since 2024-10 | The home for RP and game communities that was left empty after the block |
| Telegram / Telegram X | Big-company features | 2013 | Telegram X at #35–39 on the Turkey social chart | Group chats and channels only; no posts, stories, or Reels |

Where users come from

- **Verified** **Platform event: Turkey's under-15 social media ban** : the rule was published in the official gazette 10-10; installs then rose from about 1–2 thousand to 10-27 41k; from the effective date 11-01 through 11-03 it gained +34k, and both stores' social charts hit their peak at the same time. iOS reviews include "I'm moving here once it shuts down in Nov 1" and "the best app against the social media ban."

- **Verified** **Organic TikTok user content** : @_ice_x0 "this isn't an ad, it's my recommendation" 40,434 with 10-15 views; @iddonnntknow 10-31 "after Nov 1 we're on lothelmor" 30,019 views; dozens more gacha and RP videos carry users' LothElmor handles; the official account has only 39 followers.

- **Verified** **Old RP-community users migrating and cross-following** : a September Instagram screenshot where an RP account says "my account got banned, there are mutuals on LothElmor"; another post asks "is this app made by someone from the rp community?"; iOS review: "perfect for people who keep getting banned on Instagram."

- Inferred **calling for good reviews, campus word-of-mouth** : iOS China store 10-17, 10-18 two days saw over twenty 5-star reviews flood in, titles mostly "." or "-", content nearly identical; one review says "I even pulled my whole classmate group into installing it"

- Inferred **Paid acquisition** : no evidence found; a solo developer, no ads, decorative-only purchases, so unlikely.

## Why LothElmor (com.lothelmor.twa) took off

In one line: a web social site built by one person in Turkey, wrapped with TWA for Play and also on iOS, styled after Instagram plus TikTok: posts, stories, Reels, DMs, public chat rooms, mini-games, watch-together. At signup you choose RP (role-play account) or RD (real-person account), and the two circles can't see each other's content. No ads; it earns from VIP / VIP+ decorative subscriptions. Nearly all of its growth came from Turkey's new "no social media for under-15" rule: the regulation was published in the official gazette 10-10 and took effect 11-01, and each of those two dates matches a wave of installs. The buzz is now fading fast.

### 1. Data

**Play installs (googleplay library; app_day_ext estimated via AppstoreSpy before 10-29)**

| Date | Total installs | Daily adds |
|---|---|---|
| 10-21 | 12,232 | About 5,700/day (est.) |
| 10-22 | 21,974 | 9,742 |
| 10-24 | 29,178 | About 3,600/day |
| 10-27 | 41,334 | About 3,000/day |
| 10-29 | 41,430 | 48 |
| 11-01 | 47,311 | About 1,960/day |
| 11-02 | 54,565 | 7,254 |
| 11-03 | 75,133 | 20,568 |
| 11-06 | 76,147 | About 338/day |

- AppstoreSpy only starts tracking an app at one to two thousand installs, and it began tracking LothElmor on 10-20, which means that from its 8-02 launch to mid-October it had only one to two thousand cumulative installs.

- **Turkey Play social Top Free** : 10-29 to 10-31 ranked #27–28, rose to #12,11-02 on 11-01 and #11-03 to #6, then 7 → 12 → 29 (11-06). Best overall Turkey app chart rank: #47 (11-02). 11-02 and 11-03 still at #135 on the German social chart, probably Turks living in Germany.

- **iOS (appstore library, id 6799395188, developer OMER TAYFUN YANAZ, listed 8-18)** : Turkey social free chart reached #74 on 10-28, then #9 on 11-01, followed by 13 → 29 → 64 → 111 → 179 (11-06). 11-02 it charted #151 on Turkey's social **grossing** chart. Its best Azerbaijan social chart position was #35. Turkey ratings went from 93 (10-28) to 110 (11-03) and stopped growing after that.

- The official site self-reports 58,649 members, 54,876 posts, 43,299 stories, and 37,027 videos (lothelmor.com, read 11-06). Cumulative installs across Android, iOS, and web add up to more than this member count, so many people installed it and never signed up.

- Monetization: Play in-app purchases $1.49–$30.99. The site says "all features are free; VIP / VIP+ only add visibility and cosmetics": exclusive chat bubbles, badges, and so on, and a recent version added "gift VIP to friends" (Play recent_changes). Revenue is not public.

### 2. Why it took off

#### 2.1 timing: Turkey's under-15 social media ban (the two dates line up with the two install waves)

- The 7578 law passed this April, and its implementing rules were **published in the official gazette on 2026-10-10** , **effective 11-01** : under-15s cannot open new accounts, and existing accounts must complete e-Devlet age verification before 2027-03-31 or be shut down; 15–18 year olds' accounts default to private, cannot go live, and cannot use infinite scroll feeds (avmetecelik.com law firm analysis; DW Türkçe, BBC Türkçe, and teyit.org all reported it). According to DW, about 17.5 million children are affected.

- Wave one: after the 10-10 rule was published, "where do we go after the ban" videos began appearing on TikTok from 10-13 to 10-18 (see below 2.3), and LothElmor's installs rose from one to two thousand to 10-27 41k.

- Wave two: from 11-01 through 11-03 it gained 34k installs (11-03 alone 20.6k in a day), and both Play and iOS Turkey social charts peaked at the same time.

- Users are saying it outright. Turkish iOS reviews include: "I'll switch to this app when 1 closes in November" (after 10-25 shuts down in Nov 1); "The BEST app to get around the social media ban" (10-18); "The app says it won't be affected by the November restrictions" (1, 10-31). That last one means **the developer has publicly said it's "unaffected by the ban"** , and that line is itself the acquisition hook.

- The users really are small. The only entry on ekşi sözlük 11-02 says "There are quite a lot of 10–15-year-old users. Your kid might be using it behind your back."

#### 2.2 seed: the RP (role-play) scene on Turkish Instagram

- Turkish teens have a large "RP account" ecosystem on Instagram: playing idols and fictional characters, interacting via tellonym and Twitter. Meta often bans these accounts as impersonation. One September Instagram screenshot has someone writing "I'm the Rayne whose account keeps getting banned… mutuals on Twitter and the LothElmor account"; another post asks "is lothelmor the app made by someone from the rp scene" (instagram.com/p/Dc0a6O9IdC5,2026-09).

- iOS review: "A great app for people who keep getting banned on Instagram, Meta obviously doesn't like me" (10-26).

- So before the ban it already had a core group of users (the RP scene, those one to two thousand installs). When the ban arrived, these users recruited people themselves on TikTok and Instagram, catching the need to "keep playing somewhere else."

- Another background factor: Discord has been blocked in Turkey since October 2024, and Instagram accounts like anadoluvizyonhaber have reported "two years since the Discord ban" (haberturk and others also covered it). Teens were already short on group-chat and community spaces. This part is inference.

#### 2.3 growth tactic: organic TikTok content plus referrals from existing users. No paid acquisition seen.

Searching "lothelmor" on TikHub turns up dozens of videos made by Turkish teens, with a few hundred to tens of thousands of views each. The official account @lothelmor has 39 followers and 1 videos, so promotion is mostly done by users:

- @_ice_x 0 10-15 "Ağalarım reklam değil tavsiyem" (Bros, this isn't an ad, it's my recommendation) with 40,434 views;

- @eiselleni 10-18 3,799 views; @iddonnntknow 10-31 "1 kasımdan sonra bizim lothelmor ile samimilik" (since Nov 1, we've been close on LothElmor) with 30,019 views;

- @destinaa_fenasin_fenaa 10-31 "uygulama adı LothElmor" (the app is called LothElmor) with 8,555 views. There are also plenty of gacha and Adopt Me clips with users posting their LothElmor accounts to ask for follows (10-31 to 11-02).

- Some users post VIP+ flexing videos (@lormattivnz 10-29 "My lothelmor account has VIP+, pretty cool right"), showing that paid cosmetics work socially.

- YouTube Shorts "uygulama adı lothelmor" also turns up results.

- **Reviews** : On the Turkish iOS store, over twenty 5-star reviews poured in across 10-17 and 10-18. Many titles are just ".", "-" or "Mükemmel", and the bodies are near-identical ("mods and the founder really care", "so friendly"). It looks like people were told to rate it inside the app or in a group chat. One reviewer writes "sınıf arkadaşlarıma bile indirttim" (I even got my classmates to download it), which points to word of mouth spreading through a school.

- Paid acquisition: no evidence found. The ad libraries don't track it, it's built by one person, charges only for cosmetics, and doesn't run ads, so the chance of paid acquisition is low. Not confirmed.

- X: x-radar shows 60 posts in the last 0 days. Media: apart from one ekşi sözlük entry, no news coverage. On Threads someone complained, "Someone tell the people who moved to lothelmor that lothelmor is subject to the ban too."

#### 2.4 Why users stay and pay

- The feature set is pretty complete: polls, questions and music in Stories; Reels; disappearing and timed messages in DMs; streak counts; playlists; tasks, levels, a weekly TOP 10,5 multiplayer mini-games; and watch-together. Users keep saying it's "almost the same as Instagram."

- It feels like a small community of people who know each other. Several reviews mention "the admins and mods 7×24 are all there", "the founder really cares", "suggestions get adopted quickly", and there's a dedicated platform-suggestions group. Early users feel it's "our own place."

- Payment: VIP bubbles and badges match what the RP scene and teens want, which is to be visible. On iOS it reached 151 on the Turkish social Top Grossing chart at one point, but the revenue is small.

- Retention risks: the negative reviews focus on lag and slow loading (a TWA wrapper around a web page), plus arbitrary bans by mods ("got banned for a year over a joke", 1 stars). Daily installs fell to just over three hundred after 11-04, and both stores' charts are sliding fast. Once the "switch platforms" wave from the ban fades, it's unclear how many users will stay.

### 3. Competitors

| Product | Where | Launched | Scale | How it differs from LothElmor |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Instagram / TikTok | big tech | Early | Turkish social chart #1–2 | The ban requires these platforms to do e-Devlet age verification and block accounts under 15; LothElmor is their "alternative." |
| UnTidl | Web / Windows / Android | 2026 (unverified) | On TikTok, @shanikonusuyorr 10-18 "For the social media ban I found an app called untidl" with 36,155 views; it's not in the Play library. | Same positioning, "where to go after the ban," from a Turkish team. Built like Discord with servers, channels, voice and study rooms. It doesn't copy Instagram and has no RP section. |
| Yaay(TT Ventures) | Android / iOS | 2020 | 1.25M installs on Play. From 11-02 to 11-04 it re-entered the Turkish social chart (ranks 17–22), and in 7 days it made 3,333 | Domestic social apps with official backing, aimed at adults and the political mood. Not teen or RP communities. |
| Whee (TikTok), Litmatch, Timo and OmeTV: stranger chat and voice rooms. | Android | 2018–2026 | Tens of millions to hundreds of millions of installs, consistently at #7–30 on the Turkey social chart | Stranger matching and voice rooms, not a "full Instagram alternative." |
| Discord | big tech | 2015 | Blocked in Turkey since 2024-10 | It was originally home to the RP and gaming scenes, and that space opened up when the ban hit. |
| Telegram / Telegram X | big tech | Early | Telegram X at #35–39 on the Turkey social chart | Only group chat and channels, no feeds and no Reels. |

LothElmor is the **only Turkish-made social app that has newly listed** among the top 40 on the Turkish Google Play social chart from 10-29 to 11-06 (per googleplay library query).

### 4. Differentiation

1. **RP / RD community separation** : at signup you pick a roleplay account or a real-person account. The two sides can't see each other's feeds, and public chat rooms are separate too. This is designed specifically for the RP scene, and Instagram, TikTok and UnTidl don't have it. That's where the seed users came from.

2. **Turkish language, local, independent, no ads, small community** : users say things like "the developer is Turkish" and "everyone is so warm."

3. **Instagram + TikTok + chat rooms + games all in one app** , so people moving over need no learning curve.

4. On the law there's no real difference. According to law firm readings, the ban covers every "social network provider" defined by Law No. 5651, and LothElmor is within scope too. It's just too small to be checked yet. "Not affected by the ban" is more a marketing line, and it's also the biggest risk.

The differentiator 1 is why it had a core user base before the ban. What pushed installs from a couple thousand to 76k was the ban (timing). Without the ban, it would just be a niche RP community; without the RP seed, the ban's traffic might not have landed on it.

### 5. Visibility and copycats

- Visibility: few people know about it yet. Revenue isn't public; no media or X coverage. There's only one ekşi sözlük entry, scattered discussion on Threads, and it spreads on TikTok mainly among Turkish teens.

- Copycats: none specifically copying LothElmor seen. The other "ban refuge" that appeared at the same time, UnTidl, is a parallel competitor, not a copy.

### 6. What others can learn

- **Watch the dates when regulation takes effect** : when a country adds age gates to big platforms or blocks sites (Australia's 16-year ban, Turkey blocking Discord or Roblox, for example), small local-language alternatives get a traffic wave on the day the decree is published and again on the day it takes effect.

- **Find a community the big platforms pushed out to seed it** (here, RP accounts), then scale with regulatory events.

- One person using a Web + TWA wrapper can ship to three platforms within months, at very low cost.

- In teen communities, decorative VIP (bubbles, badges) plus "gift it to friends" is a monetization route that doesn't rely on ads.

### 7. Still unclear

- Retention: after 11-04 daily installs are down to just 300 and the charts are falling. How many users will stay long term is unknown.

- Compliance: whether Siber Güvenlik Başkanlığı (the Cybersecurity Directorate) will target small platforms like this. If many users are under 15, it could require age verification or a block at any time.

- Whether the 10-17 and 10-18 batch of iOS reviews was organized by someone isn't confirmed.

- Developer background: searches turn up a student at Uludağ University with the same name and a former web designer, plus an old YouTube kids' channel, but none of it is verified as the same person.

- Revenue: inferring from a single 151 ranking on the iOS social Top Grossing chart suggests it's very small.

- UnTidl's scale hasn't been checked against store data.
