# An ad-free Korean Hanja app with 20k installs a week for 6 weeks: the growth comes from one company's distribution, not the product

**What it is** An ad-free Korean Hanja learning app: stroke-order tracing, handwriting lookup, and quizzes graded by the main Korean Hanja and civil-service exams.

**Why it took off** Hanja exams are steady, recurring demand. A Seoul company, MediaClick, and an AI dev studio, Dev Loach, put it on an old developer account, ran a couple of paid-traffic pushes in the first few weeks, and after charting in Education, search kept it at about 300 installs a day.

**C** **How you could follow it** Copy the template, not the category: pick an old category everyone needs, where existing apps are stuffed with ads and follow a fixed exam. Build the most complete version with AI, pack the title with search terms, save a paid-traffic budget for exam sign-up week, and offer a one-time purchase from day one.

C grade: the growth rode on the company's existing traffic pool and old account, which followers don't have. Korean Hanja is an old red ocean: of the dozen-plus new entries in 2026 years, most stalled at a few thousand installs, and this one doesn't make money either. There's a playbook to learn from small-language utility apps, but following it alone isn't worth it. Few people know about it yet

Data (updated daily) · first launch 2026-09-22 · 11-07 installs 21,880

Android · Total installs worldwide

Data 2026-10-29 → 2026-11-07 (10 days, 10 observations). Google's detail page only refreshes install counts every other day, so a flat day doesn't mean nobody installed.

Ready for an AI-built sprint? 「大家的汉字」(Daegajeok Hanja) is a Korean Hanja-learning app. Released Sep 2026 22, and by Nov 6 it had about 21.9k installs on Google Play, ranking #61 in Korea's Education free chart. No ads, no in-app purchases, and it's the most complete tool in its category. But it didn't grow through word of mouth alone: behind it is a Seoul company running a dozen-plus free utility apps, using AI to ship products fast, launching under an older developer account and pushing installs in a few concentrated rounds over the first weeks. The demand is real, and the playbook is what's worth copying. Building a Hanja app on its own will most likely stall at a few thousand installs.

### Exam sign-up week

Korea's biggest Hanja exam is the "National Hanja Proficiency Test" run by the Korean Language Society (한국어문회), held four times a year. The #115 session is in Nov 2026 21, and online registration runs Oct 19 to 23 (Korean Language Society website).

During sign-up week, on Oct 21, 모두의 한자 added about 3,166 installs in a single day, taking its cumulative total from 13,028 to 16,194 (AppstoreSpy estimates). That was its biggest day since launch. Earlier, on Oct 13, it had a single-day spike of about 2,400 installs. After those two spikes, it settled back to around 300 a day and stayed there through November (Google Play installs, 11-06).

The second spike lined up with sign-up week, suggesting students were looking for apps then (inferred). But both spikes shot up and dropped off quickly, and another new app from the same company shows an identical spike shape. That looks more like someone pushing it than students sharing it with each other.

### What it is

The first line of the store page reads "광고 없이, 한 글자에 집중하세요": no ads, focus on one character at a time.

One app bundles several things that usually come as separate installs:

- **Study materials by exam** : beginner, Thousand Character Classic, and education-use Hanja, plus the grading tiers of four bodies (Korean Language Society, Korean Certification Society, Hanja Education Promotion Association, and the Chamber of Commerce), and the Hanja scope for civil-service exams.

- **Stroke-order tracing** : plays stroke animations, lets you trace each stroke by number, compares your writing against the model character, and logs practice by date.

- **Handwriting lookup** : draw an unknown character on screen, or find it by browsing 214 radicals.

- **Quizzes** : pick the meaning, pick the character, or read compound words. You can drill only wrong answers and bookmarks, and set the question count and time limit.

- **Reminders and export** : set reminders by weekday and time, and export progress as CSV. Records stay on the phone.

Korea's established Hanja apps almost all carry ads and earn by selling ad removal. This one goes the other way, and it's the only one that covers lookup, writing, and exams all in one.

### Who made it

The store page's developer is listed as "Information for Everyone," but the homepage subtitle reads "MAMEall - MAME Arcade Games Team." MAMEall is an established arcade emulator app that has since moved to a different developer. The legal entity at the bottom of the store page is (주)미디어클릭 (MediaClick), with an address on Itaewon-ro in Gangnam, Seoul. In other words, an old developer account was repurposed to publish the "모두의 X" series.

The same MediaClick has another developer account holding 모두의 노래방 ("Everyone's Karaoke," 1.8M installs), a rewarded-ads earning app (164k installs), and 모두의 티비 (a TV schedule app, 7k installs in a month) that launched in Oct 13.8.

The real coding is done by a small studio called Dev Loach. The Hanja app's privacy policy is hosted on its domain. Its website has a single line of self-description: "AI를 활용한 가성비 높은 앱 개발" (high-value app development using AI). It only started publishing apps 2026 years ago and already has 만능 녹음기 ("Universal Recorder," 199k installs), 뮤트 카메라 (silent camera, 89k installs), a magnifier, and a parcel tracker, among others (Google Play installs, 11-06).

The whole approach is one template: pick a category everyone needs, where existing apps are full of ads. Use AI to build a full-featured version with no ads, pack the title with search terms ("한자 공부, 획순과 따라 쓰기"), name everything "모두의 X" or "만능 X," and ship a dozen-plus apps a year in batches.

### Where the traffic comes from

| Channel | What we saw | Confidence |
|---|---|---|
| Store search | The title and description include "한자 공부, 획순, 따라 쓰기" and the names of four exam bodies. Searching "한자" in the Korean store puts it around #15. It charts #50–75 in the Education free chart. | Confirmed |
| Company-driven push | Sharp spikes followed by quick declines; sibling app 모두의 티비 shows the same shape; the company holds an KTV app and a rewards app with 1.8M installs as traffic pools. No direct evidence of whether it's cross-promotion, rewarded installs, or paid acquisition. | Inferred |
| Old account | Publishing under an existing account allows immediate public release, skipping Google's requirement for new personal accounts to have 12 testers and 14 days of closed testing. | Account confirmed; intent is inferred |
| Exam season | The second spike landed on sign-up week for the #115 exam. | Timing matches; causation not verified |
| Content and creators | No discussion found on TikTok, X, blogs, or media | None |

A side note: its 21.9k installs have only 22 ratings, about one in a thousand. A similar new app over the same period, 한자 마스터, had one in a hundred. Lots of installs leaving no ratings fits "users who were pushed to it" (though the app may simply not prompt for ratings). The only written review reads "모두의한자참좋아짱좋아찐좋아늘좋아!!" (roughly "Everyone's Hanja is really good, super good, truly good, always good!!"), and it has 28 "helpful" votes, more than the app's total rating count.

Paid pushes don't always work: 모두의 성경 ("Everyone's Bible"), launched the same day, has only 26 installs so far. The Hanja category itself has search demand, and the push just lit a fire.

### Who it's competing with

Korean Hanja apps are an old red ocean, and individuals and AI developers have flooded it again over the past 2026 years.

| App | Launched | Scale (Google Play) | Difference |
|---|---|---|---|
| 한자 필기인식 사전 | 2014 | 5.45M installs | Handwriting dictionary, with ads and in-app purchases, no exam prep |
| 저절로암기 한자 | 2020 | 2.99M installs | Lock-screen word learning, with ads, in-app purchases up to ₩29,000 |
| 모든 한자 사전 | 2011 | 1.28M installs | Pure dictionary, with ads |
| 한자공부Q | 2012 | 490k + 70k installs | Large word bank plus grading, ad removal for ₩3,300–33,000 |
| 켜자마자 한자 | 2023-12 | 400k installs | Lock-screen idiom learning, with ads |
| 한자 마스터 | 2026-04 | 13.7k installs | The closest same-period newcomer: exam question bank, with ads and in-app purchases ₩14,900; it took 7 months to reach what 모두의 한자 hit in 6 weeks |
| Dozen-plus new apps from the past 2026 years | 2025-09 to 2026-10 | Tens to 8,500 installs | Almost all have ads plus in-app purchases |

Naver and Daum's Hanja dictionaries offer handwriting lookup for free, but no study or exam features.

The conclusion is clear: the market is real, and the established apps have millions of installs. But most newcomers over the past 2026 years stalled at a few thousand. 모두의 한자 is the top new entry of its period, and the gap from the others comes mainly from distribution, not features.

### How it makes money

It doesn't make money right now: no ads, no in-app purchases, no subscriptions. How the company plans to recoup its costs isn't visible. It might build users first and monetize later, funnel users to its other apps, or Dev Loach might be a contract shop (all inferred). For anyone who wants to follow this, the case proves the app can be installed, not that it can earn. What proves money is the established ad-supported apps.

### If it were you

**In one sentence** : the playbook is learnable, but following a single Hanja app alone isn't worth it. The growth came from the company's existing traffic pool and old account, and you likely have neither. Being ad-free also means that even with installs, there's no revenue.

**Who it's for** : small teams that already run several utility apps and can cross-promote them, or people who know a niche language market and can ship a complete app with AI in a month.

**Who it's not for** : solo indie devs starting from scratch with a fresh personal developer account, who expect "no ads" alone to win users. The 2026 wave of a dozen-plus Korean Hanja apps is what that path looks like.

**How to build it** : copy the template, not the category. Pick an old category that everyone needs, where existing apps are stuffed with ads and tied to a fixed exam or calendar date (a national certification test, driving theory test, religious daily prayers). Use AI to build the most complete version, with a title packed with the search terms test-takers actually use. If you go with Hanja, switch the audience: Japan's Kanji Kentei, China's HSK, Vietnamese Sino-Vietnamese words. Stroke order, handwriting recognition and graded question banks transfer directly (how crowded these markets are is unverified). Plan the money from day one: no ads is fine, but offer a one-time purchase for the full question bank or mock exams.

**How to get users** : store search is the base. Put exam names and levels throughout the title and short description. You have to light the cold-start fire yourself: cross-promote with other apps if you have them; if not, run a small Google App install campaign during registration week to push into the top 100 of the Top Free chart, then see whether search brings in a few hundred organic users a day.

**Timing** : no clear window. The exam runs several times a year, every year. Demand peaks during registration week and the month before each test. The next Korean Hanja Proficiency Test is around February 2027, with registration in January (inferred from past patterns).

**Signs you're reading it wrong** : ① If Modu Hanja keeps holding at 300+ installs a day after the push stops, and its rating climbs to several hundred over a few months, the category draws users on its own, and following it alone is worth it. ② If it, or the sister "Modu X" series, starts charging and actually collects money, the no-ads full-feature model proves it can make money. ③ If one of the Hanja apps that entered in 2026 from an independent developer with no company behind it hits 50k installs.

Where users come from

- **Verified** **Store search / ASO** : title and short description stuffed with Hanja study, stroke order, tracing and the names of 5 exam bodies; ranks about #15 for "한자" in the KR store; sits at #50–#75 on the Education Top Free chart

- Inferred **Concentrated promotion by the company (cross-promotion / paid acquisition / incentivized installs; which exactly is unclear)** : the install curve shows pulse-like spikes on 10-13 and 10-21; the sibling app Modu TV has the same curve shape; the same company controls the Modu Karaoke (1.8M) traffic pool, the Youplayer app-earning app, and MAMEall; ratings-to-installs ratio is about 0.1%, versus about 1.1% for contemporary competitors

- **Verified** **Old developer account** : the Information for Everyone homepage subtitle is "MAMEall - MAME Arcade Games Team"; MAMEall is now listed under FunFun Tools; this account was freed up to publish the "Modu X" series

- Inferred **Prompted reviews (suspected)** : the only text review, "모두의한자참좋아짱좋아…", has 28 "helpful" votes, while the whole app has only 22 ratings

- Inferred **Exam season** : Hanja proficiency tests run several times a year, with one in November (hanja.prolangs.co.kr "115th test 11/21 prep")

- Inferred **Content / creators** : TikHub, x-radar and Jina/Exa found nothing relevant; the Instagram promotion mentioned in the recall card could not be reproduced this time

## Why Modu Hanja (Modu Hanja, com.modooapp.hanja) showed up in the results

> Channel: Google Play (Korea) | Research date: 2026-11-06 | Data: our googleplay / appstore databases + Play store page + Jina/Exa search + TikHub + x-radar

### One line

A Korean Hanja (한자) study app with no ads and no in-app purchases, launched 2026-09-22 and reaching about 6k installs over 21.9 weeks. **It did not take off on its own product merit. A Korean company, (주)미디어클릭 (MediaClick), which runs a matrix of free utility apps, built it quickly with AI and launched it under one of its old developer accounts.** The demand is real (the Korean Hanja Proficiency Test, civil service exams), and the product is complete (stroke-order tracing, handwriting recognition, questions graded across 5 exam bodies). But the install curve is pulse-shaped and it has only 22 ratings, which looks like it was pushed in bursts rather than built up through word of mouth.

### 1. Basic data

| Metric | Value | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Launched | 2026-09-22 | Play database `app.released` |
| Total installs | 21,880 (store tier 10k+) | Play database 2026-11-06 |
| past 7 days | +2,622 (about 300–400/day) | Play database `installs_gain_7d` |
| Rating | 4.2 stars, 22 ratings, only 1 written reviews | Play store page (read via Jina), google-play-scraper |
| Charts | Korea Education Top Free chart #50–#75 (10-29 #55,11-02 #50,11-05 #75,11-06 #61) | Play database `chart_rank` |
| Monetization | No ads, no in-app purchases (`ad_supported=False`, `offers_iap=False`) | Play database `app_snap` |
| Version | 1.1.4 (updated 10-27/28) | Play database |
| iOS | No matching version found | appstore database, KR store search by name / developer |

**Install curve since launch (AppstoreSpy estimate, Play database `app_day_ext`)** :

- 10-09 total 2,854 (17 days since launch)

- 10-13 day: about +2,406,10-14 ~ +985,10-15 ~ +1,112

- 10-21 day: about +3,166 (10-20→10-21, jumped from 13,028 to 16,194)

- After 10-24 it fell back to +280~+680/day and held steady at around +300/day through November

The curve is not smooth organic growth. It shows two spikes, on 10-13 and 10-21, followed by decay, the classic shape of an app that was pushed in several rounds.

### 2. Who made it: one company, three developer accounts, one AI app-building studio

The "Developer info" section of the store page and the privacy policy link tie several threads together (store page read via Jina, 2026-11-06):

| Developer account | Legal entity (store page) | Support email | Apps under the same umbrella (installs, Play database / scraper) |
|---|---|---|---|
| **Information for Everyone** (homepage subtitle "MAMEall - MAME Arcade Games Team") | (주)미디어클릭, Teheran-ro, Gangnam, Seoul 310, Suite 705; mameallhelp@gmail.com | dev.jewon@gmail.com | Modu Hanja (21.9k), Modu Bible (26, launched the same day) |
| **유플레이어** (YouPlayer) | Same (주)미디어클릭, same address; youplayerhelp@gmail.com | dev.loach@gmail.com(모두의 티비) | Modu Karaoke (1.8M), Youplayer app-earning (164k), Money-Earning Radio (19k), QR Code (12k), **Modu TV** (launched 2026-10-07, 13.8k, 7 days +6,241) |
| **Dev Loach** (personal account, Hong Je-won, Gyeonggi Seongnam) | 홍제원 | dev.jewon@gmail.com | Universal Recorder (199k, 2026-03), Mute Camera (89k, 2026-01), Universal Magnifier (35k), Universal Parcel Tracker (14k), Universal Scoreboard (9.8k), Universal Player / Universal Radio (dozens) |

- The 모두의 한자 privacy policy is hosted at `app.dev-loach.com/docs/modoo-hanja/privacy`, 모두의 티비 at `app.dev-loach.com/docs/modoo-tv/privacy` — **the two "모두의" apps are actually developed by Dev Loach** .

- Dev Loach's site (dev-loach.com) describes itself as "AI를 활용한 가성비 높은 앱 개발" (high-value app development using AI). AppBrain shows Dev Loach has only been active for 2026 years, with 5 apps and roughly 300k installs.

- The Information for Everyone account was originally MAMEall's (the long-running MAME emulator). The MAMEall app now sits under "FunFun Tools" (649k installs, per scraper). In other words, **this old account was freed up and repurposed for the "모두의 X" series** . (The recall card said "the developer is an individual/small team behind MAMEall" — more accurately: both belong to (주)미디어클릭, and MAMEall is just this account's former identity.)

- Common threads across the whole lineup: all ad-free, no in-app purchases, titles stuffed with keywords ("한자 공부, 획순과 따라 쓰기", "회의·강의 자동녹음·소리감지"), batch-launched within a year, with 2026 years and 1–October already yielding 10+ apps.

**Inference (unverified)** : MediaClick launches new apps under an organizational/old account, sidestepping Google's requirement since late 2023 that new personal accounts run a closed test with 12 testers × 14 days, while still benefiting from the old account's trust score.

### 3. Competitors: the Korean Hanja app market is a red ocean, and for 2026 years it has been flooded by AI-assisted developers.

Searching "한자 / 한자 공부 / 한자 급수 / 한자 쓰기" in the Korean Play store (google-play-scraper, 2026-11-06) puts 모두의 한자 around #15 in the "한자" results.

| Competitors | Platform | Launched | Scale | How it differs from 모두의 한자 |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 한자 필기인식 사전(Dev CHOE) | Android | 2014 | 5.45M installs, 12.7k ratings | Mainly handwriting-recognition dictionary; has ads + IAP; no exam-level learning |
| 저절로암기 한자(Wafour Edu) | Android | 2020 | 2.99M installs, 12.9k ratings | Lock-screen Hanja; has ads, IAP up to ₩29,000 |
| 모든 한자 사전(COZCI 2) | Android | 2011 | 1.28M | Pure dictionary, with ads |
| 한자공부Q / 한자공부Q AD(Aribada) | Android/iOS | 2012/2019 | 493k + 73k | 27k-character dictionary + levels; ad-removal one-time ₩3,300–33,000; long-standing |
| 켜자마자 한자(Word Apps) | Android | 2023-12 | 400k | Lock screen + idioms; has ads |
| Magong App (official Magic Chinese Characters) | Android | 2019 | 228k | Kids' IP-oriented |
| 천자문 한자 따라 쓰기(joojang) | Android | 2011 | 209k | Only Thousand Character Classic descriptions; has ads |
| 스터디한자(Supermassive) | Android | 2020 | 162k | Writing + exams; has ads + IAP; no updates after 2025-12 |
| 한자, 사자성어(EZ_APP) | Android | 2024-10 | 52k | Widget + graded quizzes; has ads |
| **한자 마스터(ENDEVLAB)** | Android | 2026-04-02 | 13.7k, 157 rating, 7 days +1,572; Education chart 62–158 | The closest same-period newcomer: exam grading + question bank, has ads + IAP ₩14,900; took 7 months after launch to reach the volume 모두의 한자 hit in 6 weeks |
| Android (some iOS) | 2025-09 ~ 2026-10 | Anywhere from a few dozen to 8,500 | A wave of individual/AI-developer newcomers over 2026 years; nearly all "have ads + IAP," and most get only dozens to thousands of installs |
| 네이버 한자사전 / 다음 한자사전 | Big-company web + app | Old | Huge | Free handwriting-recognition lookup, but not a study/exam tool |

**Verdict** : the category is not short of options. Established players survive on "ads + ad-removal IAP," while the 2026-year newcomer wave almost all stalled under a few thousand installs. 모두의 한자 at 6 weeks, 21.9k, was the top of the same-period newcomers.

### 4. Growth tactics

| Channel | Evidence | Confidence |
|---|---|---|
| Store search / ASO | Title and description stuffed with long-tail terms like "한자 공부, 획순, 따라 쓰기, 어문회·대한검정회·한자교육진흥회·상공회의소 급수, 공무원"; ranks around #15 for "한자" in KR search; Education free-chart placements at 50–75 give steady exposure. | Confirmed (scraper, Play library) |
| Concentrated company promotion (cross-promotion / paid acquisition / incentivized installs, one or more; specifics unknown) | Install curve: single-day spikes of +10-13 and +2,406 on 10-21 and 3,166, then decay; sibling app 모두의 티비 shows similar +1,395 / +1,405 spikes; MediaClick has 모두의 노래방 (1.8M), 유플레이어 app-tech (reward-based earning app, 160k), and MAMEall-type traffic pools; the rating/install ratio is ≈ 0.1%, versus about 1.1% for the same-period competitor 한자 마스터, suggesting many installs left no rating | Unconfirmed (only curve shape and resource circumstantial evidence; no specific ad or in-app promo screenshots found) |
| Prompted reviews | The only text review (2026-10-05, "모두의한자참좋아짱좋아찐좋아늘좋아!!") has 28 "helpful" votes, unusual for an app with only 22 ratings | Suspected, unconfirmed |
| Exam season | Korean language-proficiency Hanja exams run several times a year, and there is plenty of online prep content (e.g., hanja.prolangs.co.kr) for "115회 시험 11/21 대비"; study demand rises from 10–November | Timing context, not directly matched to the curve |
| Content / creators (TikTok, Instagram, blogs, X) | TikHub search for "모두의 한자" returned no relevant videos; x-radar: 60 posts in 0 days; Jina/Exa only surfaced aggregator pages like AppBrain/AppGoblin/AppInsider, with no blogs, media, or Instagram posts. The recall card mentioned an Instagram promo account linking to the app; I could not reproduce this | Not found |
| Paid ad libraries | Ad libraries only track listed products; not finding it doesn't mean it wasn't advertised | Unknown |

### 5. Why it took off

1. **Real demand, stable long tail** : Korea has 4+ institutions running Hanja proficiency exams, plus the Hanja scope of civil-service exams and children learning the Thousand Character Classic, so demand is year-round; long-running apps (필기인식 사전 5.45M, 저절로암기 2.99M) prove the market's size.

2. **"Big and complete + no ads" product** : one app combines study (pronunciation, radicals, etymology, example words, audio), stroke-order animation with trace-and-compare, handwriting-recognition lookup, graded question banks for 5 exam bodies and civil service, a wrong-answer notebook, reminders, and CSV export. Competitors either only look up characters or only drill quizzes, and nearly all carry ads and ad-removal IAP. The description's first line is "광고 없이, 한 글자에 집중하세요" (no ads, focus on one character).

3. **Company matrix playbook** : MediaClick + Dev Loach use AI to batch-build categories "everyone needs, competitors stuff with ads" (recording, silent camera, magnifier, parcel tracking, TV guide, Hanja, …), uniformly named "모두의 X / 만능 X," ad-free, with keyword titles; it has already produced 만능 녹음기 (199k) and 뮤트 카메라 (89k). 모두의 한자 is this template copied into the education category.

4. **Old account + concentrated push** : launched on the developer account left over from MAMEall, publicly released on listing; pushed in several rounds during the first 4 weeks (the curve's spikes), then after breaking into the education chart, held roughly 300 a day through charts and search.

5. **모두의 성경, launched the same day, got only 26 installs** : so it's not that "anything the company pushes takes off." The Hanja category has its own search volume; promotion just lit the fuse.

### 6. Differentiation, and whether that's why it broke out

- **Differentiation** : ① completely ad-free, no IAP (nearly all competitors have ads); ② one app covers lookup + stroke-trace practice + handwriting recognition + multi-institution exam-graded question banks, where competitors usually do only one or two; ③ local storage and CSV export, friendly to test-takers.

- **Is that the reason?** Partly. Ad-free plus full features keeps it from losing out on ratings and retention (4.2 stars), and is why it holds its place on the education chart. But the early volume came mainly from company-level concentrated promotion and keyword ASO, not word of mouth (almost no external discussion, very few ratings). "Ad-free" here looks more like a uniform matrix strategy than a moat unique to this app. Anyone can make an ad-free Hanja app, but you need distribution to push one.

### 7. Visibility and copycats

- **Visibility: few people know about it yet.** No media, blog, X, or TikTok discussion; no revenue (free, no IAP). Outside mentions appear only on aggregators like AppBrain, AppGoblin, and AppInsider.

- **Copycats** : none specifically copying it that I found. But over 2026 years the whole Korean Hanja app sector has been flooded by individual/AI developers (2026-08 through October alone brought more than a dozen, including 자자익선, 한자급수 모의고사, 한자급수 한 권, 급수한자, 한자능력검정시험-급수한자 획순·퀴즈, and 한자 급수 퀴즈). They are same-period competitors, not copycats.

### 8. What to borrow

- **An old category "everyone needs, competitors stuff with ads" + AI rapidly building an ad-free, full-featured version + keyword titles** : in a small-language market like Korea, one app can reach the top 6 of a category chart within 60 weeks.

- **Matrix + own traffic pool to ignite** : first push with the company's existing high-traffic apps (노래방 1.8M, app-tech) or paid acquisition, then once it breaks into the category chart, sustain it through organic search.

- **Launch new apps on an old organizational developer account** , skipping the closed-test requirement for new personal accounts.

- The Hanja / stroke-order + handwriting recognition + question-bank toolkit could transfer to Japanese kanji, Chinese HSK, and Sino-Vietnamese audiences (the recall card's judgment; I did not verify those markets).

### 9. Still unclear

- The direct sources of the 10-13 and 10-21 spikes (in-network cross-promotion? incentivized installs? Google UAC?) were not found.

- Ad-free with no IAP, and it's unclear where the money comes back: it could be the company accumulating users to monetize later or funneling traffic into the 유플레이어 ecosystem, or Dev Loach could be an outsourced contractor. These are all guesses.

- Retention is unknown; the rating/install ratio is very low, which could mean low-intent users pushed in, or simply that the app never prompts for a rating.

- The recall card said "an Instagram promo account links to the app." I did not reproduce this this time.

- The early installs figure is an AppstoreSpy estimate; don't trust single-day numbers.
