> Its title is literally the search query users type, the store page is localized per country, and in the Beauty category, where the charting bar is low, it only takes 1,000 installs a day to crack the top 40 in the big European markets. The late-July switch-like inflection could also be paid acquisition (unverified).

# A nail-art image library translated its store page into 15 languages and squeezed into #25 on Germany's Beauty chart

**What it is** A nail-art picture book packed into your phone: browse designs by style and occasion, save favorites, with ads and in-app purchases.

**Why it blew up** Its title is the exact phrase users search for, and the store page is translated into each country's language. In the Beauty category, the bar for charting is low, so just 1,000 installs a day is enough to squeeze into the top 40 in big European countries. The inflection point at the end of July may also be paid acquisition (unverified).

**B** **How you could follow it** Pick a visual inspiration category that gets lots of searches on Pinterest but only has English-template apps on Google Play (hairstyles, tattoos, mehndi, cake decorating, etc.). Use keyword-heavy titles, localize the store page for each country, and target the low-bar category charts in non-English Europe and Latin America, riding the seasonal peak from Christmas through Valentine's Day.

B grade: the playbook is clear, the cost is low, and few people have noticed yet. The localization gap is real. But the product has no moat, users barely leave reviews, and it relies on ads and a few in-app purchases. How much 100k installs turns into is invisible, and some of the volume may be bought. Few people know about it yet

Data (updated daily) · first launch 2026-08-17 · 11-07 installs 107,021

Android · Total installs worldwide

Data 2026-10-29 → 2026-11-07 (10 days, 10 observations). Google's detail page only refreshes install counts every other day, so a flat day doesn't mean nobody installed.

A small outsourcing studio in Lahore published an ordinary nail-art image app on Google Play: browse designs by style, tap to save, with ads. It has no author and no community, and far less content than Pinterest, yet in early November it built up 107k installs and held steady in the Beauty free charts of Germany, France, Italy and Mexico, in the top 40. The product itself has little to learn from. What's worth studying is how it got listed. Below: who made it, where the traffic came from, where the money comes from, who it's competing with, and whether a small team can copy it.

### A job post for an ASO specialist

In 2026 June 23, Afex Digital, based in Lahore, Pakistan, posted a job on LinkedIn for an ASO (App Store Optimization) specialist, on-site. The company presents itself as an outsourcing team building custom apps and AI agents, with fewer than a thousand LinkedIn followers. Behind the scenes, it has 19 apps on Google Play, from AI invoicing and AI website builders to snore recording for sleep, crochet row counters and English speaking practice. Since 2024, they have amassed about 800k installs in total (AppBrain).

By then, its nail image gallery app "Nail Art Designs & Ideas" had been live for over three months. The earliest version on APKPure was dated 1.0.1 Mar 2026 6. By mid-June it had only about 1,800 installs in total (AppstoreSpy estimate), a few to a few dozen a day. Essentially dead.

A month later, it came alive. From 24 July to 30 July, weekly installs rose from about 2,800 to about 12k, and on July 30 alone there were over 5,000 (AppstoreSpy estimate). After that it held steady at around 1,000 a day. A Flutter engineer at the company wrote in his portfolio: "Aug 2026,4.4, 100,000+ installs." Among the charted apps from this company, it accounts for most of the total installs, the best performer in the portfolio.

### What it is: a nail art picture book packed into your phone

Opening it, you can do two things: browse nail designs by category (everyday, party, wedding, holiday; French, gradient, glitter, matte, metallic mirror...) and save favorites to a collection. The images are bundled inside the APK, which grew from 32.7 MB in spring to 48 MB by November (APKPure), suggesting each update adds another batch of images.

Money comes from two sources: the store listing says "Contains ads," and there are in-app purchases of $1.99–$44.99 (Google Play, 11-06). The common playbook for galleries like this is interstitial and rewarded video ads as the base, with a subscription selling ad removal and unlocking all images (inferred). It has never appeared on any country's top grossing chart, and its revenue is not visible from outside.

### Volume: 107k, 9,000 per week

| Timeline | Total installs | Roughly per day |
|---|---|---|
| Mid-June ~ 7-23 | about 1,800 → 2,800 | A few to a few dozen |
| 7-24 ~ 7-30 | about 2,800 → 12,000 | +9,400 per week, inflection point |
| August | About 12k → 40k | About 900 |
| September | 40k → 52k | About 400, paused for about 10 days in late month |
| 9-29 ~ 10-08 | 52k → 78k | About 2,600, second pulse |
| 10-09 ~ 11-06 | 78k → 107,021 | About 1,100 |

(The 11-06 figure is Google Play installs; earlier figures were AppstoreSpy estimates)

From 29 Oct to 6 Nov, over 7 days it grew by 9,203. Among similar apps on Play, this is currently the fastest weekly growth for nail image gallery apps. The runner-up, JedyApps' Nail Art Design: Paint Nails, grew +4,393 in the same period.

The shape of the curve is worth a closer look: first a switch-like inflection point, then a ten-day pause, then a sudden doubling. Word of mouth doesn't spread like that. It looks more like rankings or ads being turned on and off (inferred).

### Where the traffic comes from: store search, plus 15 languages

Its name is the exact phrase users search for: "Nail Art Designs & Ideas." The description is packed with long-tail keywords like acrylic, gel, French tip, ombre and chrome nails. More importantly, the store page is translated by country into at least 15 languages. Open the German listing 11-06 and the title is "Nail-Art-Designs & Ideen," the first line is "Nageldesigns und Ideen für jeden Stil" (nail designs and ideas for every style), and the whole thing is in German, even using German phrasing like "Acrylnageldesigns" and "French Nails." The French listing is "Designs et idées de nail art," the Dutch is "Nageldesigns & Inspiratie," and there are also Arabic, Thai, Vietnamese, Turkish and Traditional Chinese versions.

The rankings say it best. Its best placements in early November: #25 in Germany's Beauty free chart, #27 in France, #30 in Mexico, #30 in Italy. All are non-English markets with localized store pages. In the US and India, where it competes only in English, it sat at #58–#72 (Google Play charts, 10-29 ~ 11-06). In Germany and France, most similar apps people see when searching for nail designs have only English pages, so this one is one of the few that speaks the local language.

The second reason is that charting in the Beauty category is cheap. On the German Top Free Beauty chart, apps around #25 are adding only a few thousand to twenty thousand a week. The app right next to it at #26, a makeup mirror app, is adding +18K a week. That's about 1,000 global installs a day, enough to reach the top 40 in a major European market, and charting brings extra chart exposure on top.

The third is frequent updates. The version number went from 1.0.1 to 1.26.0 over half a year, with a release nearly every two to three weeks from July to November, and the release notes are boilerplate like "Fresh nail inspiration is easier to find." Staying in the "recently updated" list is itself a store signal.

Was it paid acquisition? The inflection point at the end of July and the pause and pulse in September look a lot like Google App Campaigns being switched on and off, which agencies often do. This is unverified. Social media shows no trace of it: searching TikTok for its name, the top 20 results are nail technicians' own tutorials, with no mention of this app. On X there has been no discussion in nearly 30 days, and no media coverage at all.

### Who it's competing with

Nail inspiration is an old need and a crowded space, but the crowding works in an unusual way: the big platforms hold most of it, and at the app layer everything runs on the same template.

| Product | Scale (Google Play, 11-06) | How it differs |
|---|---|---|
| Pinterest, TikTok, Instagram | Big platforms; a single nail tutorial on TikTok often gets 100k to 2.7M views | The true home of nail inspiration: endless content, updated daily, with authors |
| Mehndi Design 2025: Nail Art | 1.7M installs, +3,091 weekly, rating 3.9 | Focused on South Asian hand-painted mehndi, with nails as a side feature |
| Nail Art Design: Paint Nails(JedyApps) | 544k, +4,393 weekly | Added a small coloring game for nails |
| Nailbook (Japan) | 470k, Japan only | Nail designs plus salon booking, with real salon content |
| Pretty Nail Ideas and Designs | 83k, +1,397 weekly, rating 4.3 | The same template from 2023, localized for only a few markets |
| Nail Design Studio | 54k, +1,772 weekly, rating 4.6 | A same-period launch from January 2026, about half the scale |
| Nail Art Design Ideas(Pixolation Lab) | 23k, +488 weekly, has dropped off the charts | Almost the same name, didn't take off |
| NailARVR (AR virtual try-on) | 12k | Real technical differentiation, didn't gain traction |

The last two rows are the most telling. Nail Art Design Ideas, with an almost identical name, launched in early 2026 and has since dropped off the charts. The one with AR try-on and real technology didn't take off either. Same category, and the difference comes entirely down to how distribution was handled. On iOS there is no sizable nail gallery app: search "nail" on the App Store and the top results are salon mini-games. This one has no iOS version.

### Its weak spots

100k installs, yet Play shows no rating and not a single recent review. Either almost no one leaves reviews, or Google has hidden the rating (reason unverified). Either way, it suggests these users flip through a few pages of images and leave, with no stickiness. The content is static images, with no advantage over Pinterest. Its moat is only keywords and translation, and anyone can copy both. There's also a small inconsistency: the store's data safety section says "no data collected or shared," which doesn't quite match showing ads.

### If it were you

**B** Worth a try, but the bet is on distribution craft, not the product. Following its path, building a "gallery + favorites + multilingual store pages" and claiming a spot in low-bar categories in Europe and Latin America costs very little and can ship in a few weeks. The weaknesses are obvious too: users don't stay, unit prices are low, it relies on ads, and nobody knows how much 100k installs will actually earn.

**Who it suits** : a small team of 1–3 people that has done ASO before and can batch-localize store pages, ideally with an existing app portfolio so several categories can run at once and you double down on whichever takes off. Those who can run Google App Campaigns and calculate cost per install have an edge.

**Who it doesn't suit** : anyone wanting to build a product with community, retention and subscriptions; there's nothing like that here. If you only target English markets, you'll be fighting Pinterest and a pile of old templates on the US and India charts. And if you won't put real work into each country's store page, you lose the entire value of this play, since that step is where it lives.

**How to do it** : don't fight it over nails. Pick a different visual inspiration category: hairstyles, tattoos, mehndi, cake decorating, makeup beyond nails, wedding decor, home corners. Start with ones that get lots of Pinterest searches but only a few English template apps on Play. Write titles as the exact phrase users search for, and translate titles, short and long descriptions separately for each target country (using local phrasing, not machine-translated English). Bundle the images into the APK and ship an update every two to three weeks with a batch of seasonal images. For monetization, follow its model: interstitial ads as the base, plus an in-app purchase for ad removal and unlocking all images. Add something it lacks: AR try-on isn't necessary, but seasonal collections (Christmas, Valentine's) and filters by skin tone or nail shape may keep people around longer (inferred).

**How to get users** : start with store search and category charts. After launch, watch the Beauty or Lifestyle free charts in Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Mexico, Brazil and Turkey, and check how many installs per week the apps at #25–#40 add (in Germany's Beauty chart, roughly a few thousand to twenty thousand). That's the volume you need to buy or capture. If organic isn't enough, run a small Google App Campaigns budget in the one or two countries where you're closest to the top, push your rank into the top 40, then see whether chart exposure keeps it moving on its own.

**When to launch** : go live before early December to catch the seasonal peak in nail and hair/beauty searches around Christmas, New Year and Valentine's Day. If you miss it, the next wave is spring and summer wedding season.

**Signs you've misread it** : ① this app's weekly installs fall from about 9,000 to below 2,000 and it drops out of the top 50 in the German and French Beauty charts, meaning its volume was mostly bought and stopped when the spending did; ② your localized store page has been live for 4 weeks and still can't get into the top 60 of the Beauty chart in your target country, meaning someone else already runs this play, or that market doesn't respond to it; ③ similar apps start appearing in bulk with German and French store pages on Play, meaning the localization gap has closed.

Where users come from

- **Verified** **Play Store search (ASO + multilingual store listing)** : the title is the search term, the short description stuffs long-tail keywords; store listing localized into at least 15 languages (German, French, Italian, Dutch, Polish, Turkish, Thai, Vietnamese, Traditional Chinese, Arabic, etc.; googleplay library chart_rank.title); the best rankings come from localized non-English markets; the company is hiring an ASO specialist (LinkedIn) 2026-06

- **Verified** **Play category chart exposure** : steadily holds 25–40 spots on the free Beauty charts in Germany, France, Italy and Mexico; the Beauty chart has a low bar (googleplay library 2026-10-29~11-06)

- **Verified** **Frequent releases / store info changes** : 26 versions in half a year (APKPure); the launch date was reset to 8-17, but it was actually listed before May

- Inferred **Paid acquisition (e.g., Google App Campaigns)** : installs ramp up in switch-like fashion, with stops and pulses; but Meta, Google and TikTok ad libraries have no record of it (not on the tracking list)

- Inferred **TikTok / creators / media** : the first 20 TikHub results for the app name are all videos from nail artists themselves; x-radar returned no results in the past 30 days; no online coverage

### One line

A pure "nail design gallery" app: browse and save nail pictures by occasion and style (French, gradient, cat-eye, glitter…), with ads and $1.99–$44.99 in-app purchases. The developer is Afex Digital, an outsourcing and app-portfolio studio in Lahore, Pakistan. **It took off through Google Play store search and category charts: the name is itself the search term, the store listing is translated into 15+ languages, and in the low-bar Beauty category, about 1,000 global installs a day was enough to crack the top 40 of the free Beauty charts in Germany, France, Italy, Mexico and other countries.** The product itself has no differentiation; it does the same thing as Pinterest, Instagram and a dozen-plus similar gallery apps on Play.

### 1. Who they are

- The Play developer name is Afex Digital; the "About the developer" section lists Muhammad Ahmad Khalid, address Bahria Town, Lahore, Pakistan. Support email goldtec.marketing@gmail.com; the "website" is a blogspot (appsmagic360.blogspot.com), and the privacy policy is hosted on Google Sites [Play listing, 2026-11-06; googleplay library app table].

- Afex Digital (afexdigitals.com) presents itself externally as an outsourcing firm for custom apps and AI agents, with about 990 LinkedIn followers. It also runs a portfolio of its own apps on Play: AppBrain records 19 apps, active since 2024, about 800k installs in total, spanning AI invoices, AI website builders, web-to-app conversion, snore recording for sleep, crochet counters, video editing, English speaking practice, AI interior design and more [appbrain.com/dev/Afex+Digital (search snippet); download.cnet.com developer page; Play search snippet]. On iOS there is a separate account "Afex digital llc" (mainly promoting WebX AI website builder) [apps.apple.com/eg/developer/afex-digital-llc/id6788796164].

- The team is hiring: 2026-06-23 posted on LinkedIn for an "ASO (App Store Optimization) specialist", on-site in Lahore [LinkedIn post activity-7475118501901303808]; in September they were hiring an Upwork bidding BD [getpakjob.com]. Staff member Sana Ullah (senior Flutter developer) lists this app in his personal portfolio: "Aug 2026, 4.4 rating, 100,000+ installs" [thesanaullah.dev/work/nail-art-designs-ideas].

- Only 2 of this company's apps charted in our library: this product with 107,021 installs, and AI Interior Design with 16,975 [googleplay library developer/app_profile, 2026-11-06]. **This one product accounts for about 1/8 of the portfolio's total installs, making it the best performer in the lineup.**

### 2. Launch timing and release cadence

- The launch date 2026-08-17 on the data card is a **reset date** . The real launch is earlier: APKPure has a 1.0.6 version released 2026-05-16; AppstoreSpy's backfilled history already shows 17 installs as of June 1,773 [APKPure; googleplay library app_day_ext]. Recall notes from the time say it already had 1.0.3 in April. So the real launch was around 2026 4–May, and 8-17 was probably reset by Google when the store info was changed or the store expanded.

- The APK package path on APKPure is "nail-art-design-nail-polish", suggesting the early title may have been something like "Nail Art Design / Nail Polish" before it became the current "Nail Art Designs & Ideas" (unverified).

- Iteration is fast: 1.0.6 (5-16) → 1.18.0 (9-12) → 1.24.0 (9-30) → 1.25.0 (10-26) → 1.26.0 (11-06), 26 versions in half a year; the package grew from 32.7 MB to 48 MB, likely because the gallery content is bundled into the app [APKPure version page]. The release notes are ASO-style boilerplate like "Fresh nail inspiration is easier to find / Beginner designs are easier to explore…" [googleplay library app.recent_changes]. Frequent releases are themselves a store signal (keeping the "recently updated" tag).

### 3. Growth data

**Since launch (AppstoreSpy estimate, googleplay library app_day_ext):**

| Period | Total installs | Rough daily adds |
|---|---|---|
| 6-17 ~ 7-23 | 1,773 → 2,786 | A few to a few dozen per day, essentially flat |
| 7-24 ~ 7-30 | 2,786 → 12,187 | 9,400 a week (7-30 a day, roughly 5,363) — **the inflection point** |
| August | 12,188 → 40,275 | About 900 / day |
| September | 40,275 → 52,243 (9-18 ~ 9-28 nearly stalled) | About 400 / day, with a roughly 10-day stretch of almost no growth in the middle |
| 9-29 ~ 10-08 | 52,243 → 78,350 | About 2,600 / day, a second pulse |
| 10-09 ~ 11-03 | 78,350 → 106,065 | About 1,100 / day |

**Our own observations (googleplay library app_day, 10-29 ~ 11-06):** 97,818 → 107,021, +7 over the last 9,203 days (about 1,300 / day). Play's install counter jumps roughly every 3 days (10-31 +3,077, 11-03 +5,170, 11-06 +956), so single-day figures are meaningless; look at weekly totals.

The curve has two notable features: first, a switch-like inflection at the end of July, after which it settled at about 1,000 per day; second, a plateau in the middle and sudden pulses (it stalled for 10 days in mid-to-late September, then doubled from late September to 10-08). This shape looks more like **store ranking or ad spend turning on and off** than organic word of mouth or content-driven spread.

**Charts (googleplay library chart_rank, 10-29 ~ 11-06):** only on the free Beauty category chart, across 19 stores. Actual store rankings: Germany 25–35, France 27–34, Mexico 30–36, Italy 30–39, Turkey 31–57, South Africa 37–45, US 58–67, India 58–72, Brazil 67–84. The UAE, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, the Netherlands, Poland, Saudi Arabia and Nigeria all show nearly identical positions (all at 50–60), which is one aggregated ranking and should not be counted as 10 separate markets.

**Bar to clear:** the app ranked #25 on Germany's free Beauty chart, and the apps around it also added only a few thousand to tens of thousands per week (#26 Perfekter Spiegel: +18,093 weekly) [googleplay library v_chart 2026-11-06]. The Beauty category's bar is very low: a few 1,000 thousand global installs a day is enough to crack the top 40 in the big European markets.

**Ratings:** our library and the Play US listing show no rating count or star rating (ratings are empty); the staff portfolio lists 4.4. With 100k installs and still no displayed rating, very few people are leaving reviews, or ratings are hidden by Google. Either way, engagement from this user base is very low (cause unverified). There are also no recent review samples.

### 4. Competitors

**Products doing the same thing (nail gallery / inspiration):**

| Product | Where | Launched | Scale (googleplay library 2026-11-06, unless noted) | How it differs |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Pinterest | Big players / all-platform | 2010 | Billions of installs; nail art is one of Pinterest's largest search categories | The real home of nail inspiration, with unlimited, live content; this product is just a small offline-bundled gallery |
| Instagram / TikTok #nailart | big tech | – | Most of the first 20 TikTok videos for "Nail Art Designs & Ideas" have 100k–2.7M views [TikHub] | Content comes from real nail artists and includes tutorials; this product has no creators and no community |
| Mehndi Design 2025: Nail Art(Wallet Passes Alliance) | Android | 2022-09 | 1.7M installs, +3,091,3,626 weekly, rating 3.9, #31 in India Beauty | Mainly mehndi hand-drawn designs, with nails as a side feature; aimed at South Asia |
| Nail Art Design: Paint Nails(JedyApps) | Android | 2023-07 | 544k installs, +4,393 weekly, #81 in Mexico Beauty | Includes a mini-game where you paint nails; this product is pure gallery |
| Nailbook (Spica Inc.) | Android / iOS (Japan) | 2017 | 470k installs, Japan chart only | Japanese local nail-design plus salon booking platform, with real salon content |
| Pretty Nail Ideas and Designs(Molly Digital) | Android | 2023-10 | 83k installs, +1,397,427 weekly, rating 4.3 | Same gallery template, only a few markets such as Brazil |
| Nail designs art nail polish(VzGameStudio2019) | Android | 2023-09 | 73k, +288 weekly | Same template, stalled |
| Nail Design Studio(DigiTide Blaze) | Android | 2026-01 | 54k, +1,772,270 weekly, rating 4.6, #75 in US Beauty | Same-period new release, about half this product's scale |
| Nail Design App: Art & Inspo(NailKnowledge) | Android | 2026-03 | 24k, +1,022 weekly | Same-period new releases, scale about 1/4 |
| Nail Art Design Ideas(Pixolation Lab) | Android | 2026-01 | 23k, +488 weekly, has dropped off the charts | Almost the same name, but it never took off |
| AI Nail Salon Tryon: NailARVR(EDGIST) | Android | 2026-03 | 12k, +1,122 weekly | AR try-on, with some technical differences but no traction |
| iOS competitors | iOS | – | On the App Store, searching "nail" in the library, the top-rated results are all nail salon mini-games (Acrylic Nails! 445k ratings, etc.); there's no sizable nail art gallery app | This product has no iOS version |

Bottom line: **Nail art galleries are an old, crowded, templated niche. This app is currently the fastest-growing weekly in Play's category for this type (9,203, with #2 JedyApps at 4,393), but it isn't distinctive.** There's also a large group of "nail salon" casual games (Acrylic Nails! 168M, Nail Salon Makeover Games +190k weekly, etc.) fighting for the same search terms, but those are games, not the same thing.

### 5. Where users come from

| Channel | Evidence | Confirmed? |
|---|---|---|
[LinkedIn] | Yes (the tactic is confirmed; the share driven by it is unverified) |
| Play category chart exposure | With the low bar of the Beauty category, it has steadily held #25–40 on the Beauty free charts in Germany, France, Italy, and Mexico, and chart exposure in turn brings organic installs | Yes |
| Frequent updates / changing listing info | 26 versions in six months, 8-17 launch date reset (changing store info or expanding regions) | Yes |
| Paid acquisition (Google App Campaigns, etc.) | The curve shows a switch-like ramp in late July, a mid-September stop lasting 10 days, then a sudden doubling in late September, a shape that resembles starting and stopping ad spend; matrix studios that rely on ads plus in-app purchases often do this too. But our Meta, Google, and TikTok (Europe) ad libraries don't have it: it's not on our list, and not finding it doesn't mean it wasn't advertised | No (inferred) |
| TikTok / Instagram / creators | Searching the app name on TikHub, the top 20 results are all nail technicians' own tutorial videos, none mentioning this product; x-radar has no results in the last 30 days | No (none found) |
| Media / communities | Apart from the staff portfolio, there is no coverage or discussion of it online | No |

Where the money comes from: "Contains ads" + in-app purchases $1.99–$44.99. The typical model for gallery apps is interstitial / rewarded video ads as the base, with weekly / annual subscriptions to remove ads or unlock all images. The store's data safety page states "does not collect or share data," which doesn't quite match the fact that it carries ad SDKs [Play detail page]. Actual revenue is unknown: it doesn't appear on the top-grossing chart in any country.

### 6. Why it took off

1. **Steady demand, large search volume, always there** : nail inspiration is one of the largest beauty content categories on Pinterest / TikTok, and people re-search for it every season and holiday (on TikHub during the same period, "November nails" and "Christmas designs" videos each got millions of views). Some users search "nail art designs" directly in Play, a stable search entry point.

2. **The name = search term + localized store pages** : the top-ranking regions (Germany, France, Italy, Mexico) happen to be the ones where the store page was translated into the local language; the English-only US, India, and Nigeria rank lower (58–72). In non-English markets, most competitors only have English pages, so localizing lets you hold search results and category charts.

3. **Low bar in Beauty** : getting 1,000 installs a day is enough to reach the top 40 on the Beauty charts of major European countries, and chart placement brings more exposure, forming a low-cost loop.

4. **The matrix studio playbook: ship versions fast, swap titles, expand regions** , likely combined with paid acquisition (unconfirmed), launching 19 apps and betting a few will take off; this one happened to be the winner.

### 7. Differentiation

Almost no product-level differentiation: the content is packaged static images, with only category browsing and favorites, the same thing as Pretty Nail Ideas and Nail designs art, which have been on Play for 2023 years; compared with Pinterest, it has less content, no updates, and no creators. **What sets it apart is only distribution: better keywords, store pages in 15+ languages, more frequent updates, and maybe ads. That's why it worked, not the product itself.** This also means the moat is shallow: any similar template app that copies the localization can take its spot.

### 8. How many people have seen it

Few people know about it yet: no public revenue, no coverage or discussion on media or X, nobody mentions it on TikTok; the only public mention is the staff portfolio. Similar template apps have always been plentiful on Play (in 2026 years 1–March, Nail Design Studio, Nail Art Design Ideas, Nail Design App and others launched), but I haven't found any that clearly copy it.

### 9. What others can borrow

- Look for visual inspiration categories that are heavily searched on Pinterest but on Play only have a pile of English template apps (nails, hairstyles, tattoos, mehndi, cake decorating, interior design...), build a gallery + favorites, **translate the store page into a dozen-plus languages** , and target the low-bar Beauty and Lifestyle charts in non-English European and Latin American markets.

- Take the search term directly in the title; keep the "recently updated" tag by shipping versions frequently.

- Matrixing: one team builds a dozen-plus apps at once, tests cheaply, and doubles down on the ones that take off.

- Risk: the product has almost no retention value (100k installs with no visible ratings), revenue relies on ads and a few subscriptions at low price points; the growth is very likely partly paid, and the ROI is unknown.

### 10. Uncertain

- Whether it's running paid acquisition and how much: none of our three ad libraries cover it (it's not on the tracked list), and the status of Google App Campaigns is unverified. The causes of the late-July inflection and late-September pulse (ads, changed store info, or Play recommendations) are uncertain.

- Revenue: it hasn't charted on any top-grossing list; in-app purchase prices are $1.99–$44.99, subscription conversion unknown.

- Why the rating doesn't show on Play (the portfolio says 4.4).

- The early title and the true launch date (the APKPure path suggests a rename; a recall note says it already existed in April at 1.0.3).
