Portuguese anti-porn app pushed by pastors: Victtor got 10k installs in a month via a unique link for each creator
What it is A Portuguese anti-porn app: on Android it truly blocks adult sites and apps, plus a 24-hour AI companion that both comforts and pushes you, an anonymous community, day-by-day courses, and sobriety-day achievements, billed monthly.
Why it took off Brazilian pastors and Christian male creators were already selling porn-quit challenges. Victtor gave each creator a personal victtor.app/<name> link to promote with; two creator posts each brought in two to three thousand installs. It also shipped the Android version first, which rivals hadn't done.
BHow you could follow it Don't crowd into Brazil. Take this playbook to Spanish-speaking Latin America or the Philippines, markets with large religious populations and no local version yet: real Android blocking plus AI companionship, a secular store page, a wildcard landing page for local pastors and male-growth creators to share attribution links, and revenue share by volume.
- Data (updated daily) · first launch 2026-10-04 · 11-07 installs 10,253

Victtor is a Portuguese anti-porn app from a Brazilian team. On Android it really blocks adult sites and apps, then adds a 24-hour AI companion, an anonymous community, and day-by-day courses, billed R$39,90 monthly. It hit Google Play in Oct 4, reached 5 installs by Nov 10,253, and has already broken into Brazil's Health & Fitness Top Grossing at #69. The product has nothing other apps don't have. What's worth watching is how it finds users: Brazilian evangelical male creators promote it, each with their own link. Below: how it got started, who it's competing with, and whether this playbook travels to another market.
A Reel with 'link in my profile'
Around Nov 2, a Brazilian Instagram creator named Jonatan Leonidas de Sá (about 47k followers, bio about helping men live out God's purpose) posted a Reel captioned: "Want to beat porn? You don't have to do it alone. Meet Victtor, an app that blocks porn and walks you step by step toward freedom. Tap the link in my profile and start today." The next day, Victtor's cumulative Google Play installs jumped from 6,067 to 9,355, adding over 3,288 in two days.
It wasn't the first time. Late October he posted another, with a song setting Psalm 121 as the soundtrack, caption just "👉🏼 link in bio @victtor.app", tags #NoFap #jesus #fé #Deus. That post's timing matches the Oct 24 spike, +2,389 in one day. Comments include "never seen an app like this" and "too bad it's paid," with another user replying "it's paid."
Between the two spikes, from Oct 25 to 31, installs rose only about a hundred a day. That's the shape of Victtor's install curve: flat, a jump, flat again. Play install counts only refresh every few days, so don't over-trust single-day figures, but the spikes match the creator posts' timing (inference, moderate confidence).
What it is
The store description opens harshly: "You've sworn a thousand times that yesterday was the last time." Then it skips morality and names the enemy: "On the other side is a billion-dollar industry designed to keep you trapped." The official site victtor.app's headline reads "Quitting porn is possible. One day at a time," and breaks features into five parts:
- Real blocking: on Android, a local VPN blocks adult sites and apps, and turning it off requires a second confirmation. "In the moment of impulse, you're not your own best judge."
- AI companion: "Not a cold blocker, but someone who comforts you and also pushes you. When you're about to relapse at 3 a.m., it replies."
- Anonymous community, day-by-day courses, sobriety-day achievements (called "Armadura," armor).
The site also cites Cambridge, Yale, JAMA Psychiatry, and WHO ICD-11 as credibility, signed "Victtor's founders," with the line "I was trapped for years myself." Pricing R$39,90/month, R$79,90/quarter, R$89,90/six months, R$149,90/year (iOS store page).
One smart detail: the store page and website carry no religious tone at all. The faith layer sits entirely with the creators. The same app can sell to secular users and to people inside churches.
How fast it grew
| Date | Play cumulative installs | |
|---|---|---|
| 10-12 | 915 | Third-party estimate |
| 10-22 | 3,053 | |
| 10-24 | 5,447 | First spike |
| 10-31 | 6,067 | |
| 11-03 | 9,355 | Second spike |
| 11-05 | 10,253 | 7 days +4,186 |
Charts are Brazil-only: best rank #64 in Health & Fitness Top Free (10-31), dropped to #11-06 by 111; from 11-05 it entered Health & Fitness Top Grossing at #66 and #69. No ratings yet on Play. The iOS version launched in Sep 14; the Brazil store has only 13 ratings at 4.85 stars, so nearly all volume is on Android.
Top Grossing at #69 sounds good, but that chart's bar is low: the app at #59 the same day had only 4,981 installs. So it shows people are paying, but at roughly a few to a few dozen subscriptions a day (estimate), not yet a business making serious money.
Where the traffic comes from
Creators, with one link each. This is the most copyable move in the whole story. Any name appended to victtor.app opens the same landing page: evangelical singer Vitor Volpato's YouTube bio says "Download VICTTOR victtor.app/volpato"; the App Store button carries ct=volpato and the Google Play button carries utm_source=volpato&utm_medium=influencer. One wildcard landing page, zero development, gives every creator a separately trackable link, which makes paying per volume possible.
Borrow an existing channel. Brazilian pastors and Christian male growth creators were already selling porn-quit content: some sold "#NOPORN 90-day challenges," and a pastor promoted another quit-porn app, Reclaim, with the discount code "NEHEMIAS." Victtor didn't open a new channel; it slipped into an audience already buying this kind of thing.
Testing copy on its own TikTok account. @um.diadecadavez01 ("You're not weak. One day at a time") has 45 posts, published on the dot at 8, 12, 14, and 16 every day, using a fixed template: writing "pornografia" as "p0rn0graf1a" to dodge moderation, "POV: 7 days sober," a scripture line, and an ending of "An app can help you, link in bio." It has only 59 followers and 0 to 550 views per post, so it isn't driving volume. It's a cheap test of which phrasing works.
What we didn't see. No Meta ads found, and the spike shape doesn't look like sustained paid spend. No media coverage, and nobody discussing it on X. The official Instagram has about 374 followers.
Who it's competing with
The category isn't new or empty. Quittr got press in Brazil ("1M users"), and that's what made "quit-porn apps" known there.
| Product | Launched | Scale | How Victtor differs |
|---|---|---|---|
| Reclaim (Brazil) | 2026-02,iOS | iOS Brazil store 4 ratings | Most direct rival: same blocking + AI, same pastor promotion, but iOS only |
| Unchaind (France, Rocapine) | iOS 2025-02,Play 2025-08 | Play 352k installs, iOS Brazil about 13k ratings, Brazil Health & Fitness Top Grossing 62 | Multilingual faith-based quit-porn app; Portuguese version already built and an order of magnitude bigger |
| Lyrio (Brazil) | 2026-04 | Play 42k installs | Leans toward a blocking tool, no companion or community |
| Dimittas (Brazil) | 2026-10-29,iOS | 1 ratings | Even the slogan "one day at a time" is the same, looks like a copycat |
| Seed: Gamify No Nut | 2025-03 | Play 1.15M | English, gamified, no blocking |
| BlockerX, Covenant Eyes, etc. | 2012–2024 | Play hundreds of thousands to millions of installs | Established blocking / accountability tools, mostly English |
Brazil had four local players, Reclaim, Lyrio, Victtor, and Dimittas, appear in the same year. Victtor isn't first and isn't the biggest; it did one thing Reclaim didn't: it built Android first. Most Brazilian users are on Android, and Android allows real blocking via a local VPN, which iOS can't do as deeply.
If it were you
Verdict: Worth a test, but not in Brazil. What Victtor proves is a distribution method, finding vertical creators already selling "shameful need" content and paying per volume with one attribution link each, not an empty market. Brazil already has four players, Unchaind's Portuguese version is on the grossing charts, and how much money it makes is still unknown from outside.
Best for: Teams that can build on Android, write copy in a minor language, and patiently reach out to creators one by one. Ideally the founder is part of a religious community already, or knows creators in that circle. 1–2 people.
Who it doesn't suit: anyone counting on organic store traffic or on paid ads to scale. Ads for adult-adjacent content are tightly reviewed on Meta and Google (inference), and no Victtor ads were found. Anyone targeting English markets, since Quittr, Unchaind, and Covenant Eyes are already there. Anyone wanting iOS first, since real blocking can't go as deep on iOS, which is exactly where Victtor and Reclaim differ.
How to build it: Android first, with real VPN-based blocking plus a nudging AI companion; copy achievements and day counters as-is. Write the store page in a secular version and leave the faith layer to the creators. Languages to consider: Spanish-speaking Latin America (Mexico, Colombia), the Philippines, and Indonesia (Islamic context needs different framing; Kahf Guard is already doing blocking there). Before launch, check whether Unchaind has localized into that language.
How to get users: copy the victtor.app/<name> wildcard landing page and include attribution parameters for both stores. Find pastors and Christian male growth creators with tens of thousands of followers, position the app as the "next step" after their challenges or ebooks, and offer revenue share or unique discount codes. Pay attention to the comment "too bad it's paid": give the creator's followers a free trial period. Also run a TikTok account posting templated content on a schedule to test copy cheaply.
Timing: new local versions of this category appear every year, and Dimittas had only been live a week. In any language, whoever signs the first creators gets the advantage. Aim to land the first batch of creators and see the first spike within three months.
What the wrong reading looks like: ① After Victtor's two jumps, installs fell back to about 100 a day and it dropped off the charts within a week or two. The people the influencers brought in don't stick and don't pay, so this playbook only gives a short spike. ② Google Play starts delisting or restricting apps that use VPNs for content blocking, so the Android blocking route gets narrower. ③ Unchaind is also recruiting local pastors to sell in Spanish-speaking Latin America and the Philippines, so those open spots won't stay open.

Why Victtor (com.salvador.brio.app) is getting traction
In one line: a Portuguese anti-porn app by the Brazilian team Victtor Tecnologia. On Android, a local VPN blocks adult sites and apps; it adds 24 hours of AI companion chat, an anonymous community, day-by-day courses, and sobriety-day achievements. It's paid by subscription (R$39,90/month to R$149,90/year). The iOS version launched 2026-09-14, the Play version 2026-10-04, and it targets Brazil only.
Verdict: it hasn't really "taken off" yet; it's in the early stage. The 10k installs mostly come from posts by Brazilian evangelical (Christian) male influencers, plus a self-run TikTok account posting on a schedule. This playbook is nearly identical to Reclaim's (@reclaim_br) in the same market, and Unchaind and Covenant Eyes proved it in the US long ago. Reaching #69 on Brazil's Health & Fitness grossing chart is mainly because the bar is low (the #59 app there has only 4,981 installs), so it doesn't show that revenue is large. The product differentiator (Portuguese AI companion + real blocking) is "localization + bundling", not a unique capability.

1. Data (googleplay / appstore libraries, 2026-11-06)
| Date | Play cumulative installs | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| 10-12 | 915 | AppstoreSpy estimate (app_day_ext) |
| 10-17 | 2,047 | |
| 10-22 | 3,053 | |
| 10-24 | 5,447 | +2,389 in one day, first jump |
| 10-31 | 6,067 | 10-25~31 about 100 a day |
| 11-03 | 9,355 | +3,288 over two days, second jump |
| 11-05 | 10,253 | +898 |
- +4,186 over 7 days. The curve is "flat plus jumps", not the steady daily climb typical of paid acquisition, and matches "an influencer posts → people pour in over one or two days" (Play installs themselves refresh only every few days, so don't trust single-day figures).
- Charts: Brazil Health & Fitness free 98 (10-30) → 64 (10-31) → 111 (11-06); from 11-05 on Brazil Health & Fitness grossing 66 / 69. Charted only in Brazil (n_countries_now = 1).
- The grossing bar is low: on the same day, Brazil Health & Fitness grossing #59 "Luiz Salles" had only 4,981 installs, and #64 GLProgress had 14.7k. So ranking #69 shows someone is paying, but the volume may be only a few to a few dozen subscriptions a day (estimate, unverified).
- No rating on Play yet (ratings = null), and the library has no review samples.
- iOS (id6764125267): 4.85 stars in Brazil from 13 ratings, released 2026-09-14, Portuguese only; best Brazil Health & Fitness free rank 102–110,11-04 / 11-06, has charted in category grossing 102 / 136; Angola, Portugal and Paraguay have also briefly charted in categories (appstore library). Only 13 ratings suggests very low iOS downloads.
- In-app purchase range $2.99–$59.99 (since 10-31 the top end went from $22.99 to $59.99, likely an annual tier was added). Versions 1.0.4 → 1.0.5,10-29 to 11-05, updated roughly every two or three days.

|---|---|---|---|---|
| Reclaim: Vença o Vício(@reclaim_br,Pedro Brun) | iOS(+IG) | 2026-02 | Only 4 iOS ratings in Brazil; IG discount codes pushed by pastors and fitness influencers (NEHEMIAS, FORJA) | Most direct rival: also Brazilian, blocking + AI, distributed through evangelical influencers; Victtor came 8 months later and adds Android and a community |

| Dimittas - Deixe o vício(Essige Info Brasil) | iOS | 2026-10-29 | 1 ratings | Brazilian, even shares the slogan "um dia de cada vez", likely a copycat |
| Seed: Gamify No Nut(Quiet Games) | Android | 2025-03 | Play 1.15M installs, +22k in 7 days | English, gamified sobriety tracking, no blocking, no faith angle |
| Quittr | iOS | 2024 | Brazilian media report of "1M users" (correio24horas.com.br); not findable in US iTunes search now | Global hit by a 19-year-old UK founder, which made this category known in Brazil |
| Brainbuddy / Covenant Eyes(Victory)/ Ever Accountable / Bulldog | Both platforms | 2012–2020 | 320k–850k installs depending on source; Bulldog on Brazil Lifestyle grossing #38 | Long-standing accountability / filtering tool, mostly English, Christian accountability model |
| BlockerX / Adult Block / Kahf Guard / BlockerHero | Android | 2018–2024 | 1.6M–7.2M installs on Play; BlockerX on Brazil Productivity grossing #65 | Generic blocker, cheap, no companion or courses |
| I Am Sober / Quitzilla / Iron Will | Both platforms | 2013–2021 | I Am Sober: 190k iOS ratings | Generic sobriety check-in |
Verdict: the category is crowded. Brazil alone has Reclaim, Lyrio and Dimittas all running at once; Victtor is neither the first nor the biggest.
3. Growth tactics (evidence)
- Evangelical male influencers promoting it (confirmed)
- Jonatan Leonidas de Sá (@jonatanleonidas, about 47k IG followers, "helping men live out God's purpose"): posted several Reels, "Conheça o Victtor… Acesse pelo link da minha bio", with #NoFap #jesus (instagram.com/reel/DfPoWRYsMIJ, /reel/DeuyiRysuZN).
- Vitor Volpato (gospel singer / preacher): YouTube bio says "Baixe o VICTTOR victtor.app/volpato"; a TikTok with the same name, @vitorvolpato, has 334k followers (not verified whether it is the same person).
- The site victtor.app/<any name> is a landing page that sends traffic to the App Store (
ct=<name>) and Play (utm_source=<name>&utm_medium=influencer), one link per influencer, with each source tracked separately. This is an affiliate / influencer attribution system. - Some pastors in Brazil were already doing this: Pastor Alan Malbos promotes @reclaim_br with the discount code "NEHEMIAS"; Sérgio Maciel runs a #NOPORN 90-day challenge. Victtor is joining a "pastors selling anti-porn" channel that was already established.
- Self-run TikTok account posting on a schedule (confirmed): @um.diadecadavez01 ("Você não é fraco. Um dia de cada vez", bio link victtor.app/umdia-tt), 45 videos but only 59 followers; posts on the hour 08:00 / 12:00 / 14:00 / 16:00 / 16:30 / 17:30 every day, with fixed template captions (p0rn0graf1a using homophone spellings to dodge moderation, POV 7/30 days, Bible verses, ending "Tem um app que ajuda nisso. O link tá na bio"). Each video gets 0–550 views; it brings in very little, a low-cost test of content.
- Own IG @victtor.app: about 374 followers, 17 posts (11-04 posted an image saying "blocks 8,000 adult sites + community").
- Paid acquisition: Meta Ad Library has no advertiser named Victtor (our library only tracks a list of products, so this is not evidence). The jump shape looks more like influencer posts than sustained ads. Unverified.
- Store search: natural search for the Portuguese keywords "pornografia / vício" should bring some traffic (10-25 to 31 per day roughly 100), unverified.
4. Why it took off
- The demand is ready, and rising: Quittr got press in Brazil ("1M users"); 2026-09 Estadão reported "a new Instagram account gets porn Reels within 5 minutes"; the Portuguese version of Unchaind is already on the Brazil bestseller chart. A large number of evangelical men in Brazil have this need and are willing to pay.
- The channel is borrowed: Brazilian pastors and Christian men's growth influencers already sell abstinence challenges, e-books (Hotmart), and discount codes for Reclaim. Victtor plugs into this channel with one link per influencer, and the two jumps line up with influencer posts (speculation).
- Android first: Reclaim is iOS-only; Android makes up most of Brazil, and Android allows real blocking via a local VPN (iOS can't go that deep). Play 10k installs against only 13 ratings on iOS suggests nearly all the volume is on Android.
- High-priced subscriptions in a smaller language market: R$39,90/month isn't cheap in Brazil, but willingness to pay is high for shame-driven needs, and the bar for charting in Brazil's category bestseller list is low, so 10k installs is enough to chart.
5. Differentiation
- A fully Portuguese-native product: real blocking (local VPN, turning off the block requires a second confirmation) + an AI companion in the style of "a friend who nags you" + an anonymous community + courses + "Armadura" achievements. The website copy is strong: it avoids moral framing and talks about "a billion-dollar industry designed to trap you," citing Cambridge / Yale / JAMA / WHO (ICD-11).
- The store description has no religious tone; on influencer channels it takes a faith route. The same app can be sold to secular users and to church audiences.
- Is that why it took off? Partly. The features are basically the same as Reclaim and Unchaind. What actually worked was the distribution: Portuguese, Android, and affiliate links through evangelical bloggers. The differentiation isn't a moat. Dimittas had the same tagline when it launched 10-29.
6. Visibility
Not many people know about it yet: no media coverage, no discussion on X (x-radar, last 60 days), revenue not public, official IG / TikTok have only a few hundred and a few dozen followers. The category itself (Quittr, Unchaind) has been widely covered, though, and 3–4 local Brazilian competitors are already fighting for it.
7. Takeaways
- A wildcard landing page at "victtor.app/<influencer name>": one landing page carries both the App Store
ctand Playutm_sourceparameters, so attribution links for any influencer take zero development. - Find niche influencers with an existing audience for shame-driven needs (pastors, men's growth), position the app as the next step after their challenges / e-books, and let the influencers take a commission.
- Test copy cheaply with a templated, scheduled TikTok account (homophones to dodge moderation, POV, scripture).
- This playbook can be carried over to Spanish-speaking Latin America, Indonesia, the Philippines, and other markets with large religious populations.
8. Still unclear
- Actual revenue and paid conversion: the bar for 69 charting is very low, so exact numbers can't be estimated.
- Which influencer each of the two jumps corresponds to; whether it advertises on Meta / Google.
- Whether Vitor Volpato's TikTok account with 330k followers is the same person, and whether he has posted about Victtor.
- Who the team is (the package name salvador.brio hints at El Salvador?); the website only says "os fundadores" (the founders).
- No ratings on Play yet, so retention and word of mouth can't be seen.
