# A perfume app from a São Paulo wholesaler, 17k installs in three months: the people installing it aren't shopping, they're stocking up to resell

**What it is** An Arabic perfume wholesale ordering app sold only to resellers: browse the catalog, place orders, and snap a photo of a big European brand to find an in-stock Arabic dupe and generate a sales pitch.

**Why it took off** Arabic perfumes are booming in Brazil (2026 Q1 sales +134%). The wholesaler made the app the only place to see prices and order, then ran Meta ads of creators doing sourcing-trip videos to funnel people who want a side income.

**C** **How you could follow** Don't become a wholesaler yourself. Build the dupe finder, the AI sales pitch writer, the course, and the rebate system as a white-label tool, and sell it to Brazilian perfume and beauty wholesalers who are still using WhatsApp catalogs, reaching them through sourcing-trip creators.

Grade C: installs rely on family supply chains, showrooms, paid acquisition and forced entry points that followers can't access. Whether the tool layer, if borrowed, could be sold to wholesalers for money is still unproven, and you'd also need to speak Portuguese and do offline B2B sales. There is something to learn, but following it directly isn't worth it. Few people know about it yet .

Data (updated daily) · first launch 2026-07-25 · 11-07 installs 17,579

Android · Total installs worldwide

Data 2026-10-29 → 2026-11-07 (10 days, 10 observations). Google's detail page only refreshes install counts every other day, so a flat day doesn't mean nobody installed.

Zaynex Distribuidora is an ordering app built by an Arabic perfume wholesaler in the 25 de Março district of São Paulo. A customer sends a photo of Dior Sauvage, the owner snaps it into the app, and the app pulls an Arabic dupe from the wholesale catalog and writes a WhatsApp sales pitch. It has 17,579 installs on Google Play, with 7 new installs in the last 3,020 days (Google Play, 11-06). The volume is bought, and it exists because the wholesaler insists that "prices and orders are only in the app." Software builders can take a vertical wholesale tool template from this, but following it directly means relying on the business underneath, which is inventory, and that is not something you can copy.

### A "start your business today" video

Early this year, the 25 de Março creator Marcelle Martins posted a reel on Instagram co-branded with @zaynex.br. The caption read: "25 de Março, original Arabic perfume supplier. Minimum order of 10 pieces, free shipping across Brazil… save this video and start your business today!" Orders still went through WhatsApp back then. The video showed a phone number, and the address was Ladeira Porto Geral, number 106, floor 5.

By Oct 27, Zaynex was buying that video as an ad, running 13 versions in one set (Meta Ad Library, 11-06). 11-06 searching "zaynex" in the Meta Ad Library shows 9 ad sets running in Brazil on the first screen, with launch dates 10-05, 10-26, 10-27, 11-03 (5 sets), and 11-06. The creatives fall into four types: creator sourcing videos; feature ads for the AI assistant Zayn and "Open the Zaynex App"; weekly "new arrivals are in the app catalog" posts; and a recruitment ad saying "Brazilian consumers have discovered Arabic perfume, and early movers are winning."

In the comments under that video, one person replied with just "Perfume," and another wrote "looks like a scam." Those two reactions pretty much sum up this business: lots of people want in, and lots of people don't trust it.

### What it is

A B2B ordering app that sells only to resellers. You can sign up with a personal tax ID (CPF) or company tax ID (CNPJ), with no invitation and no review. The first order starts at 10 bottles of 100ml, or R$1,500 minimum; every order gets an invoice and ships within 1 business days after payment (zaynex.site, 11-06). The app is free with no in-app purchases; all the money comes from the wholesale margin.

What the app offers beyond "browse and order":

- **Encontre o Similar (find a dupe)** : search by name, or snap a photo of a European perfume. The official site gives an example: in Sep 22, a search for a European men's fragrance returned Lattafa Asad and Armaf Club de Nuit Urban Man Elixir. The page also includes a line saying "similar doesn't mean the same formula or performance."

- **Venda Assistida (assisted sales)** : when a customer can't say what they want, it helps them pick in three steps: who it's for, the scent family, and the budget per bottle.

- **Frases de Venda (sales lines)** : pick a perfume and it generates a sales message for WhatsApp and Instagram.

- **IA ZAY** : an AI assistant that can answer questions like "what's the difference between woody and oriental notes" or "how should I pitch this to a customer who likes sweet scents."

- **ZAYNEX Academy** : courses on perfumery, sales, WhatsApp, and running a business, with quizzes, progress tracking, and certificates on completion.

- **Monthly rebate** : returns 1% when monthly purchases reach R$10k, plus 1% for each additional R$10k, capped at 5% at R$50k, applied automatically at checkout.

There's also a section called Souk in testing, where brands and invited creators will send new products and educational content to store owners.

### Who made it

The company is ZYNEX COMERCIO LTDA; the opening date on its tax registration is 2025-03-13. The developer registered on Play is Mohamad Jamal Abou Arabi. 25 de Março is the traditional wholesale area for Syrian and Lebanese immigrants. The founding story on the official site goes like this: in 2024, "an uncle sent over a batch of goods and asked us to sell them." It started with just three products, Asad, Khamrah and Fakhar, all Lattafa bestsellers. By 2026 September, there were over 1,500 SKUs and more than 45 brands, plus Korean skincare.

So this isn't a software company looking for business. It's a wholesaler with family supply and a physical showroom that moved its business into an app. The iOS version launched May 22, the Android version came out in late July, and there's also a web version.

### Where the volume comes from

| Timeline | Play cumulative installs | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| 08-02 | About 340 | Third-party estimate |
| 09-01 | About 4,300 | Third-party estimates put September installs at roughly 50–190 per day. |
| 10-02 | About 8,000 | Third-party estimate |
| 10-08 | About 9,800 | +1,256 in a single day, source unknown |
| 10-29 | 14,559 | Google Play |
| 11-06 | 17,579 | Google Play, last 7 days +3,020 |

Almost all in Brazil. It has only charted on the Brazil Shopping Top Free chart, ranking between #10-29 and #11-06 from 142 to 179. The Brazil iOS store has only 6 ratings (App Store, 11-06). Most people in Brazil who run small shops use Android.

There are four sources of traffic, roughly in this order of weight:

1. **Meta ads** . After the 10-26/27 and 11-03 ad batches went live, 10-30 to 11-03 brought in 400–500 installs per day, several times September's level. The timing lines up, but we can't see how much was spent.

2. **"Sourcing trip" creators** . On TikTok and Instagram in Brazil there's a whole category of content about "where Arabic perfume comes from" and "where to buy stock on 25 de Março," and the whole industry relies on it to bring in customers. The rival Atlântico's partner creator thalyson.girao has 870k followers, with single videos getting 49k to 330k views (TikTok, 11-06).

3. **Forced entry point** . Every button on the official site points to the app: "catalog, prices, stock and ordering are all in the app." The WhatsApp channel has 10k followers, and offline customers at the showroom have to install the app before they can see prices (inferred, strong evidence).

4. **Trust pages** . The official site has a pile of long-tail pages like "Arabic perfume wholesaler in Brazil" and "Is ZAYNEX legit?" that lay out the tax ID, invoices, anti-counterfeit labels changed every month or two, and the list of official channels, directly answering the "is this a scam" worry.

Their own TikTok @zaynex.br has 9,600 followers, and lately each video only gets 168 to 1,193 views, which can't support three thousand installs a week.

### Why now

Arabic perfume is booming in Brazil. Valor Econômico, citing Circana data from June 17, reported that Arabic perfume sales in Q1 2026 rose +134% year on year and made up 4% of Brazil's premium perfume market (2025% at the end of 2.5). The number of Arabic brands sold in Brazil grew from 19 to 35, with prices up to 60% below European luxury brands, and sales were driven mainly by social media and the "affordable dupe" pitch. The category grew 2024% in Brazil in 380.

Brazil already has a large population of people who resell for extra income. The Boticário reseller app has 12M installs on Play, and Natura's has 23.4M. Zaynex's ads say "no need to stock up and wait for orders like door-to-door direct sales; pick your own products and set your own prices," aimed squarely at this group.

So the order in which traffic grew was: first a wave of "I want to sell Arabic perfume too," then creators brought people to the wholesaler's door, and then the wholesaler required people to install the app before entering.

### Who it's competing with

| Competitors | Status | Compared with Zaynex |
|---|---|---|
| Onuh Distribuidora | Claims to be Brazil's largest Arabic perfume wholesaler, 2,000+ products, launched its own app around June | Same first-order minimum of R$1,500; the app is just an ordering tool with no dupe finder, AI or courses |
| Atlântico, Official, Hilda Atacado, Atacadão dos Perfumes Árabes and others | Website, Instagram, TikTok plus WhatsApp | Most have no app, and some have far stronger creator networks than it does |
| Boticário / Natura reseller apps | Tens of millions of installs | Sell their own brands via direct sales |
| Dupe-finder apps like PERFUMIST, Parfumo, AltScent | PERFUMIST has 2.24M installs on Play | Built for consumers, don't sell products |
| B2B ordering tools like Mercos, white-label Nuvemshop | General-purpose SaaS | Can place orders, but no perfume-industry content |

Many people wholesale Arabic perfume, so the market is crowded. Very few wholesalers have their own app. The only one we've seen that gives resellers a complete toolkit is Zaynex: dupe search, scripts, AI, courses and rebates.

However, this toolkit mainly serves conversion and repeat purchases, not where installs come from. We found no evidence that "dupe finding" spread on its own. One set of ads specifically pushes the AI assistant Zayn, the only time the tool is used as a selling point. What these features really do is make Zaynex look more professional among rivals that just use "WhatsApp plus a product catalog."

### Still unclear

- How many of the 17k installs actually placed an order is unknown. The first order is at least R$1,500, so buyers are likely far fewer than installs, and some installers may just be ordinary consumers who got the app by mistake.

- Reclame Aqui (Brazil's consumer complaint platform) has 13 complaints in total, 6 in the past six months. All have been replied to, but replies take 57 days on average. The problems center on discovering out of stock after paying, slow refunds and Pix returns, and missing shipments (11-06). Volume is growing fast and fulfillment seems to be lagging (inferred).

- No data on how accurate the dupe search is or how many people use it. Play currently shows no ratings or reviews.

### If it were you

**One-line take** : don't copy this as an "Arabic perfume wholesale app." Traffic comes from supply, showrooms and paid acquisition; the software is just the shell. What's worth taking is the toolkit for resellers.

**Who it suits** : a one- or two-person team in Brazil, or with Portuguese and the ability to negotiate in person with wholesalers; or anyone who already has supply in some category. The idea is to package "dupe finding + AI scripts + course certificates + tiered rebates" as a white-label tool and sell it to the hundreds of wholesalers at 25 de Março and Brás who still run on "WhatsApp plus a product catalog." It also works for other categories where there's a luxury brand to benchmark against and resellers need scripts: affordable makeup dupes, Korean skincare, accessories, supplements.

**Who it doesn't suit** : anyone without supply who wants to be a wholesaler themselves. That layer is already saturated, and it's competed on family channels and cash flow. Those hoping for organic installs from Play also won't do well, since nearly all of the volume comes from ads, creators and forced entry.

**How to build it** : the hardest part is the dupe library, a "European luxury → Arabic dupe" comparison table plus fragrance-note cards. Do this part well; photo recognition can start with an off-the-shelf multimodal model. Start by giving a mid-sized wholesaler a free trial, run it on their catalog for a month, measure how much repeat purchasing changes, and only then charge monthly.

**How to get customers** : as with the wholesalers, go through "sourcing trip" creators. They already have long lists of wholesaler clients, so asking them to recommend your tool is much faster than waiting for people to find it on Play. Use the first client's repeat-purchase data as a case study to pitch the second.

**When to move** : while the 2026 wave is still going. If Circana's quarterly data starts to slow, wholesalers will not be willing to spend for much longer.

**What would show you're wrong** : ① Onuh or another large wholesaler builds dupe-finding and scripting features within three months, which would mean wholesalers can build this themselves and won't pay for it; ② after Zaynex stops its Meta ads, daily installs fall back to double digits like September, which would mean the tool itself doesn't keep people around; ③ Reclame Aqui complaints rise quickly, which would mean fulfillment, not tooling, is the real bottleneck in this business.

Where users come from

- **Verified** **Paid Meta ads (Instagram/Facebook)** : Meta's ad library shows over 9 ad sets running in Brazil (10-05, 10-26/27, 11-03 five sets, 11-06 launched). One set runs a video from creator marcellemartins about '25 de Março sourcing' as an ad, in 13 versions; others promote app features and a new-product catalog. After launch, daily installs rose from 10-30 to 11-03 to 400–500.

- **Verified** **Creator / sourcing-trip content** : marcellemartinsoficial's Instagram reel DUbun7cEu3Y, Junior Barreiros' videos on Facebook, and the in-house interview reel. The whole category brings in customers this way.

- Inferred **Migration of existing customers and the WhatsApp channel (the app is the only ordering entry point)** : the official site says 'buy through the ZAYNEX App; prices and stock are in the app.' The WhatsApp channel has 10k followers, and the ads also direct people to the app to view the catalog.

- **Verified** **SEO and trust pages** : zaynex.site has long-tail pages like 'Arabic perfume wholesaler in Brazil' and 'Is ZAYNEX legit?', plus the CNPJ, invoices and anti-counterfeit labels.

- **Verified** **In-house TikTok** : @zaynex.br has 9,600 followers; recent videos get 168–1,193 views each, contributing very little.

## Zaynex Distribuidora (com.zaynex.app) research report

Research date 2026-11-06. Data sources: our googleplay / appstore / metaads libraries (agent-im server), the Meta Ad Library web page (read via Jina), the zaynex.site website, the Google Play listing, Reclame Aqui, Valor Econômico, TikHub (TikTok), and x-radar.

### One line

Zaynex is an ordering app built by an Arab perfume wholesaler (ZYNEX COMERCIO LTDA, CNPJ 59.879.069/0001-80) at Ladeira Porto Geral 106, floor 5, in São Paulo's 25 de Março wholesale district. It isn't a software company's product. **A wholesaler moved ordering, customer service and sales training into an app, then used Instagram/Facebook ads and creator content to bring in people who want to earn extra money reselling Arab perfumes.** Installs are rising for two reasons: the category is breaking out in Brazil (Arab perfume sales up 134% year over year in Q2026), and the app is the only ordering channel while the company also runs paid acquisition. The app's features ("photo to find a dupe", AI-generated sales scripts, the Academy course, monthly purchase rebates) are rare among competitors, but they're tools for conversion and retention, not the reason people install.

### 1. Who they are

- Company: ZYNEX COMERCIO LTDA, brand name ZAYNEX, registered CNPJ name ZYNEX PERFUMARIA, CNPJ opening date 2025-03-13 (the website says the brand has been operating since 2024). Play developer account in the name of MOHAMAD JAMAL ABOU ARABI (the name suggests Lebanese heritage; 25 de Março is the traditional wholesale hub of Syrian and Lebanese immigrants) [Play listing; zaynex.site/zaynex-e-confiavel].

- Origin story: in 2024, "an uncle sent a shipment and asked us to sell it." It started with just three products (Asad, Khamrah, Fakhar Extrait, all bestselling Lattafa dupes). By September 2026 there were 1,500+ SKUs and 45+ brands (Lattafa, Armaf, Afnan, Al Haramain, Maison Alhambra, Riiffs…), plus Korean skincare [zaynex.site/nossa-historia]. Supply comes through family channels, which is the "resource-dependent" part.

- Trade rules: sold only to resellers, with CPF (individual) or CNPJ (company) both accepted. Registration needs no invitation or approval. First order: 10 bottles of 100ml, or R$1,500. Every order gets an invoice. Shipping within 1 business days after payment is confirmed. There's a physical showroom and an online store tour (360 degrees) [zaynex.site/como-comprar].

- Channels: the app is available on Android, iOS and web (zaynex.app), and the website says "buy through the ZAYNEX App." The WhatsApp channel has 10k+ followers (as of September 2026). There's also Instagram @zaynex.br and TikTok @zaynex.br (9,600 followers, 174 videos), plus Telegram [zaynex.site/canais-oficiais; TikHub 2026-11-06].

### 2. What's in the app (Play listing, zaynex.site/aplicativo)

- **Find a Dupe(find a dupe)** : customers ask "is there anything that smells like Sauvage / Aventus?" The shop owner types the name or snaps a photo of a European designer perfume, and the app pulls matching Arabic dupes from its catalog. Example on the official site: 2026-09-22 searches for a European men's fragrance, and the results include Lattafa Asad and Armaf Club de Nuit Urban Man Elixir.

- **Venda Assistida (three-step sales guide)** : who it's for, what scent family, and budget per bottle.

- **Scent profile cards and Frases de Venda** : the latter generates WhatsApp / Instagram sales copy for the chosen perfume.

- **IA ZAY** : an AI assistant that answers scent questions, recommends dupes from the catalog, and teaches how to pitch a perfume.

- **ZAYNEX Academy** : courses on perfumery, sales, WhatsApp and running a business, with quizzes, progress tracking and certificates.

- **Member rebates** : R$10k in monthly purchases earns 1%, with 1% more for each additional R$10k, capped at 5% at R$50k, applied automatically.

- Other: bestseller charts, new arrivals, favorites, one-tap reorder, Happy Hour promotions. "Souk" (where brands and creators send content to shop owners) is still in testing.

- Revenue: the app is free, with no in-app purchases. All money comes from the wholesale margin.

### 3. Growth data

| Timeline | Cumulative installs (Play, global, almost all in Brazil) | Source |
|---|---|---|
| 2026-07-25 | Play launch (the 08-28 in the data card is the date reset after the info was changed) | googleplay library app.released |
| 2026-08-02 | 337 | AppstoreSpy estimate |
| 2026-09-01 | 4,269 | AppstoreSpy estimate |
| 2026-10-02 | 7,957 | AppstoreSpy estimate |
| 2026-10-08 | 9,829 (+1,256 in a single day, the largest jump) | AppstoreSpy estimate |
| Around 2026-11-01 | 16,867 | googleplay library |
| 2026-11-06 | 17,579; +7 in the last 3,020 days | googleplay library |

- Daily installs range roughly from 50 to 500 and come in pulses. From 10-30 to 11-03 they averaged about 400–500 per day, clearly higher than September (about 50–190 per day).

- Charts: it has only charted in Brazil's Shopping Top Free chart, hovering between ranks 142 and 179 (10-29 to 11-06) [googleplay chart_rank].

- iOS: listed 2026-05-22 (two months before Android). The Brazil store has only 6 ratings at 4.83 stars, and its best rank was #208 in the category Top Free chart [iTunes lookup; appstore library]. Most users are on Android, which fits the phone mix of Brazilian shop owners.

- Installs aren't customers. Counting a minimum first order of R$1,500, far fewer of the 17k installs will have actually placed an order. The conversion rate isn't public (unverified).

### 4. Where users came from (growth tactics)

1. **Meta paid ads (confirmed)** : searching "zaynex" in the Meta Ad Library (Brazil, currently running) turns up 9 live ad sets on the first screen, with start dates of 10-05, 10-26, 10-27, 11-03 (5 sets) and 11-06. The creative falls into a few types:
    - Ads boosting a video from creator @marcellemartinsoficial titled "25 de Março original Arab perfume supplier." One set of 13 versions started running on 10-27, and there were sets starting on 10-05 and 11-06 as well. The video was already a "how to start a business" post on her Instagram, with the caption "Save this video and start your business today!"
    - App feature ads: introducing the AI assistant Zayn, "Open the Zaynex App."
    - Weekly new-arrivals ads: "New products are in the app's catalog," with a "Send WhatsApp message" button.
    - Recruitment ads: "Brazilian consumers have already discovered Arab perfumes. The early movers are cashing in." The ad timing matches the install acceleration: after the 10-26/27 and 11-03 ad batches started running, daily installs rose to about 400–500 between 10-30 and 11-03. Our own metaads library doesn't track this advertiser (the library discovers advertisers through English tool-category keywords), so we can't see the historical ad count.

2. **Creator and "source-visit" content (confirmed)** : Brazilian TikTok and Instagram have a whole genre called "the source of Arab perfumes / 25 de Março sourcing," where creators bring in customers for wholesalers. Creators who've posted for Zaynex include marcellemartins (Instagram reel DUbun7cEu3Y, also posted on TikTok), Junior Barreiros on Facebook ("ZAYNEX is your channel for buying wholesale perfume"), and Zaynex's own Instagram interview video ("Zaynex is one of Brazil's largest Arab perfume wholesalers"). Competitors do the same: thalyson.girao (870k followers) promotes Atlântico and Marevian, with single videos getting 49k to 330k views [TikHub search 2026-11-06].

3. **Moving old customers into the app (inferred, strong evidence)** : every button on the website points to the app ("catalog, prices, stock and ordering are all in the app"), and the ads and WhatsApp channel also say "check the catalog in the app." The 10k+ WhatsApp channel followers and in-store showroom visitors are all asked to install the app to see prices.

4. **SEO and trust pages (confirmed)** : the website has lots of long-tail pages, such as "Arab perfume wholesalers in Brazil," "imported perfume wholesale suppliers in São Paulo," and "Is ZAYNEX legit?" It also shows CNPJ, invoices, and anti-counterfeit seals ("Selo ZAYNEX," changed every month or two). These address the "is this a scam?" doubt. Instagram comments include people saying "Parece golpe" (looks like a scam).

5. **Organic TikTok reach is weak** : recent @zaynex.br videos get only 168–1,193 views [TikHub], which can't support 3,000 installs a week.

6. **Store search** : ranking around #150 in the Shopping chart brings limited volume. We see no sign of chart-pushing or review-farming (the Play rating count is null, and iOS has only 6 ratings).

### 5. Timing: Arab perfumes are breaking out in Brazil

- Valor Econômico(2026-06-17) citing Circana: Arabic perfume sales in Brazil's first quarter of 2026 rose 134% year on year, reaching 4% of the premium perfume market (2.5% at the end of 2025). Arabic brands operating in Brazil numbered 35, up 16 from the first quarter of 2025. Prices run up to 60% below other international luxury brands. Social media and "dupe" positioning are the main drivers. The article also says a big share of this category moves through specialist importers, e-commerce platforms, and parallel imports from Paraguay.

- The market grew 2024% in 380, to over R$20M (Circana, via FashionNetwork and Times Brasil).

- Brazil already has a deep reselling culture. Grupo Boticário's reseller app has 12M installs and Natura's has 23.4M [googleplay library]. Zaynex sells the pitch that you don't have to stock up and wait for orders the way direct-sales catalog models require. You choose the products and set your own prices. That's aimed squarely at this group.

- So the demand from "people who want to start an Arab perfume business" became large and urgent in 2026. Zaynex is the one in this traffic that put an app in front of it.

### 6. Competitors

| Name | Where | Launched | Scale | How Zaynex differs |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Onuh Distribuidora(Onuhshop) | Web catalog catalogo.onuh.com.br plus its own app (promoted on Instagram since June 2026) | App about 2026-06 | Calls itself "Brazil's largest Arab perfume wholesaler," with 2,000+ products. Its app hasn't charted in any of our libraries (installs unverified, likely smaller than Zaynex's) | Same R$1,500 first-order minimum and a B2B catalog plus app, but the app is an ordering tool with no dupe finder, AI or courses |
| Atlântico Distribuidora / Atacado Atlântico | Website plus Instagram, in the Brás district | Operating for years | Large creator promotion (thalyson.girao, 870k followers); no app seen | Uses a website and WhatsApp, no reseller tools |
| Official Distribuidora, Hilda Atacado, Atacadão dos Perfumes Árabes, Brand Collection, Dragon Perfumaria, and others | Website / Instagram / TikTok | Mixed | Small and mid-sized wholesalers, many selling directly on TikTok | Mostly "WhatsApp plus product catalog," with no app |
| Rebaj | Importers and brand agents (Lattafa, Maison Alhambra, Ard Al Zaafaran) | — | Featured in Valor | Upstream of Zaynex, supplying retail channels |
| Revendedores Grupo Boticário / Natura | Android (big brands) | From ¥2017 | 12M / 23.4M installs | Also a "reseller app," but sells its own brand through a catalog and direct selling. Zaynex sells multiple Arab brands, and resellers set their own prices |
| Dupe-finder apps: Scentra, AltScent, Dupe It, Parfumo, PERFUMIST, ScentWise | iOS/Android/web | Available since 2013 | PERFUMIST has 2.24M installs [googleplay library] | Built for consumers, doesn't sell anything. Zaynex connects dupe-finding to its own stock and wholesale prices, for shop owners |

Conclusion: many people wholesale Arab perfumes, and the market is very crowded. Few wholesalers have their own app (Onuh is one). The only one I found that gives resellers a full toolkit (dupe search, sales scripts, AI, courses, rebates) is Zaynex.

### 7. Differentiation, and whether that's why it took off

- **Differentiation** : the wholesaler's app isn't just for ordering. It solves "how do I sell this?" for resellers. The core is "snap a photo, get a dupe": a customer sends a photo of Dior Sauvage, and the shop owner immediately pulls up an Arabic dupe it has in stock, complete with a sales script. This rides the wave that made Arabic perfumes big in Brazil (the dupe angle), and turns a daily chore for resellers into a daily reason to open the app. Add Academy, certificates and rebates, and one-time wholesale buyers become repeat customers.

- **Is this why it took off?** Not entirely. Installs mainly came from paid acquisition, creator content, and the hard rule that you can only order through the app. Dupe search and AI show up in the ad copy (one ad set focuses on Zayn), but I haven't seen evidence that they spread on their own. These differences mostly lift conversion and retention, and they set it apart from "WhatsApp plus product catalog" competitors, making it feel more legit.

### 8. How many people have seen it

- Almost nobody in the tech or going-global circles knows about it: in the last 30 days, x-radar returned 0 posts each for "zaynex" and "perfume árabe atacado"; no media has covered Zaynex itself; revenue isn't public.

- It has a bit of a name in Brazil's reseller community: creators promote it, and there's a Reclame Aqui page (6 complaints in the past six months, all replied to, mostly about slow refunds for out-of-stock items, missing shipments and logistics). Instagram comments show two sides: "looks like a scam" and "I want this."

- Copycats: I haven't seen anyone copying it yet with a "wholesale app with dupe search and courses." Onuh's app launched earlier, so it's a competitor, not a copycat.

### 9. What others can borrow

- A "reseller App" template for vertical wholesalers: a B2B catalog with 2 SKUs plus "find a dupe of a big brand" (by name or photo), then AI-written sales scripts, an AI shopping assistant, course certification, and tiered monthly rebates, turning one wholesale customer into a long-term repeat buyer who resells as a small distributor. It applies directly to categories like dupe beauty, copycat accessories, supplements, and Korean skincare, where there's a big-brand benchmark and resellers need scripts.

- Acquisition playbook: buy videos from "supplier store visit" creators and run them as paid ads with "check prices in the app"; then answer the "is this a scam?" doubt with a trust page (CNPJ, invoices, anti-counterfeit labels, showroom, official channel list).

- For people building software, the real opportunity may be packaging this as SaaS and selling it to the hundreds or thousands of Arabic perfume and beauty wholesalers in Brazil (dupe library, AI sales scripts, reseller academy). Nobody is doing this yet (unverified).

### 10. Uncertain

- The 17k installs: no public data on how many actually placed orders or what the monthly GMV is.

- No data on how much was spent on ads or how many ads were run on Meta historically (our library doesn't track this advertiser).

- The cause of the 10-08 single-day jump (+1,256) is uncertain. There was a 10-09 TikTok during those days ("How big is Zaynex really? App, website, community"); it could also have been WhatsApp group sends or a creator post.

- No data on how accurate or how often the "snap a photo for a dupe" feature is used; there's no public review sample for the app (Play rating is null).

- Some installs may come from regular consumers who installed it by mistake (the app only sells to resellers).
