# A credit card questionnaire app with 34k installs in a month: the installs were bought, and what's valuable is the ad monetization machine behind it

**What it is** Answer 6–8 questions to get a credit card recommendation and an estimated 0–1000 approval chance. No national ID number, no sign-up. The same package ships a Brazilian Portuguese version and a US English version, and it makes money from ads.

**Why it took off** The parent company's flagship app Aprov (4.85M installs) earns so much from ad monetization that its ad buying team can't spend the budget. So they launched this new sideline app to pour paid acquisition into new products and the US market. Installs rise whenever buying starts and flatten when it stops. There's no organic word of mouth at all.

**C** **How you could follow this** Don't copy the product, copy the process: in a country not yet saturated with finance guide apps, build a low-friction credit card or loan questionnaire, monetize through AdMob mediation, buy installs on a small budget, and only add spend once you've confirmed that a user's ad revenue over 30 days covers what you paid for them.

Grade C: there's no feature moat, and Brazil and the US are both crowded with big players. Its real advantage is the 4.85M-install parent app, the in-house media company and the monetization setup tuned over six months, none of which a follower can get. CredFit's own US version also hasn't yet shown it can pay back. Hardly anyone knows about it yet

Data (updated daily) · first launch 2026-09-28 · 11-04 installs 33,986

Android · Total installs worldwide

Data 2026-10-29 → 2026-11-04 (7 days, 7 observations). Google's detail page only refreshes install counts every other day, so a flat day doesn't mean nobody installed.

CredFit is a credit card recommendation app that a Brazilian company launched a month ago: answer a few questions, get a card suggestion, and an estimated "approval chance". It picked up 20k extra installs in a few days in early November, but the product itself is something nearly anyone could build. What makes it run is the parent company's already-tuned pipeline of "buy installs → AdMob ad monetization". Below: what it is, where the installs come from, where the money comes from, and which steps of this playbook you can learn from.

### A review that praised the wrong thing, and 20,000 installs in the same day

On 2026 2, a Brazilian user named Luciana Araujo left this review for CredFit on Google Play:

> ótimo pra usar no dia dia e comprar o que vc precisa em parcelas sem juros ——Works great day to day, and you can buy what you need in interest-free installments.

That sentence praises the credit card, not the app. CredFit doesn't issue cards or help you get one. The other reviews on the Brazilian page are "ótima" (great) and "ótimo de verdade" (really great). Overall it has 4.9 stars from 145 ratings (Google Play Brazil, 11-06).

The same day, its cumulative installs on Google Play jumped from 13,087 to 33,986, adding 20,899 over two or three days. Yet its rank on the Brazil Finance free chart didn't rise. It actually slid from No. 64 to No. 114.

An app with nothing obvious to set it apart suddenly gained 20,000 installs, and the source wasn't just one market where it had charted. That kind of volume was most likely bought.

### What it is

The same package looks different in each country:

- **US store** is listed as "CredFit: Credit Card Finder", in English. It compares "35 popular US credit cards" and asks 6 questions.

- **Brazil store** is listed as "CredFit: Cartão de Crédito", in Portuguese. It compares Brazil's main credit cards and asks 8 questions. The categories include cards for people with negative credit records (cartão para negativados) and cards that are easy to get approved.

The features are the same: recommend one card based on income, goals and habits, with reasons; give a 0–1000 approval score estimate; compare annual fees, cashback, miles and lounge access side by side; show a "this week's offers" section; and include an automated helper called Letícia that finds cards matching your criteria. The most prominent selling point on the store page is "no CPF / social security number, no sign-up, no credit check, results in a minute". The footer is also blunt: they aren't a bank, don't issue cards, don't process applications, and the approval score is "an estimate based on your answers, not a credit check".

Free, labeled "contains ads", no in-app purchases. Store launch 2026-09-28, developer ROCKET MEDIA, based in Fortaleza, Brazil.

### Where the installs come from: a staircase of spikes

| Date | Total installs | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| 10-07 | About 557 | Third-party estimate (AppstoreSpy) |
| 10-19 | About 1,933 | Same as above, about 50–150 a day |
| 10-26 | About 5,281 | 10-20 to 10-26 a day, 300–700 |
| 10-29 | 5,283 | Google Play installs; 10-27/28 almost stalled |
| 10-30 | 13,087 | +7,804 in one day; No. 57 on the Brazil Finance free chart, its best ranking |
| 11-02 | 33,986 | +20,899 over two or three days; its Brazil ranking actually fell to No. 114 |
| 11-05 | About 35,574 | Third-party estimate, daily gains fell back to about 500 |

This curve spikes when buying starts and flattens when it stops. No media coverage, searching "credfit" on TikTok and X turns up nothing, and no reviews mention a friend recommending it. It spent only about a week on the Brazil Finance free chart: 10-30 at No. 57, then 64 → 81 → 114 → 140 → 178. It has never charted in the US store or in more than twenty other markets we watch.

Where the 20k installs of the 11-01/02 spike came from isn't visible from outside, since no per-country breakdown is public. Its Brazil ranking was falling, so the most likely explanation is a cold-start test in the English US version or another country (**inferred** ).

We couldn't directly check CredFit's own ad creatives. An app install ad's landing page is the store listing, so looking it up by the official site domain turns up nothing, which is normal. But its parent app's ad buying is very clear, see the next section.

### Who's behind it: a Brazilian company that controls both paid acquisition and monetization

CredFit is a new product from Rocket Group (Brazil, under Rocket Media Tecnologia S/A). The same developer account also has:

- **Aprov: Credit Cards Compare** : launched 2025-07. On Google Play it has **about 4.85M installs** , and in Brazil's Finance free chart it has sat around #30 for a long time. From 10-29 to 11-05 it added about 90k in a week. It's an all-in-one hub: cards + loans + CPF lookup + a weekly giveaway.

- **Empréstimo Pessoal Ideal** : loan comparison, about 1.4M installs.

- **Novely** : short drama / novels, about 74k installs.

The company's own website describes itself in a few lines: Google Ads paid acquisition, its own finance and benefits content sites (millions of visitors a month), ad monetization, and data-driven decisions.

The ad account is also traceable. Searching aprov.app in Google's Ads Transparency Center shows the advertiser as "3APPS SOLUTIONS AND ADVISORY LTDA", Brazil, verified, with about 600 ads (11-06). The company was registered in Fortaleza in 2023, its registered business activity is ad placement agency work, and the contact email on the registration matches founder Carlos Terceiro. In other words, the founder set up a media buying company to advertise his own apps. The "Aprov Brasil" page in the Meta Ad Library posted new creatives from 2026 April to September, with copy like "The best credit options are on Aprov, download now." Creator-style promo videos also run on Instagram.

The most important source is one Google published itself. In Oct 202615, the Google AdMob site ran a customer case on Rocket Group: a product line covering finance, utilities, fitness and short drama, with over 20M cumulative downloads across 150 countries. After switching to AdMob's hybrid mediation (SDK bidding + traditional waterfall, with floors set automatically via API), within six months Aprov **daily revenue rose 209% and CPM rose 92%** , ROAS rose 7%, and DAU rose 60%. The case includes one line:

> "The revenue growth became so strong that the advertising team was challenged to scale campaigns fast enough to keep pace with revenue growth." In plain terms: revenue grew so fast that the ad team couldn't scale spend fast enough to keep up.

The ad business made so much money that the buying team couldn't spend it all, so the easiest move was to launch more apps and enter more markets to spread the budget. CredFit came out of that: the same buying account and the same monetization setup, a new name, plus a US version.

### Where the money comes from

Mainly ad revenue (**inferred** , but the evidence is strong). The store listing says it contains ads and has no in-app purchases. The privacy declaration only collects device IDs and in-app activity, used for advertising, and no financial data. Every question a user answers, result they view, or comparison they make is an ad impression opportunity.

Credit cards and loans are among the highest-bidding intents in ad networks. Brazil has a large audience of people with debt who still want a card, and US finance CPMs are higher. The Aprov case shows this model can have positive ROAS: what you pay to acquire a user can be earned back through ads, with something left over. Whether the "this week's offers" section and the "apply on the issuer's site" links are connected to credit card affiliate programs (paid on application or card issuance) is unverified. The description explicitly says it doesn't facilitate applications, so even if they are, they're not the main income.

### Who it's competing with

This feature isn't rare in either market.

| Market | Product | Scale (Google Play installs, November) | How CredFit differs |
|---|---|---|---|
| Brazil | Aprov (sibling app) | 4.85M | Same playbook with more features, Brazil only |
| Brazil | Cartão de Crédito com Limite / Credguia(Mobapps) | 13.2M; same company's CPF lookup 22.6M, FGTS 16.6M | The biggest player in Brazil's "financial guide + ads" space |
| Brazil | Meu Cartão Ideal(UTUA) | 930k | Also a card-picking questionnaire, one order of magnitude smaller |
| Brazil | Serasa | 115M, #1 on the Finance Top Grossing chart | Official credit bureau app; uses real CPF and scores to calculate approval odds |
| US | Credit Karma | 61.4M | Real credit data + Approval Odds, requires sign-up and SSN |
| US | Experian | 21.3M | Card comparison + approval odds, requires a profile |
| US | NerdWallet, WalletHub, CardRatings | Mainly web, very high traffic (unverified) | Driven by SEO + affiliates, deep content, full card coverage |

CredFit's only real difference from these is lower friction: no ID number, no sign-up, results in a minute. The cost is that its 0–1000 score is just a questionnaire estimate with no credit data behind it. In Brazil this category is already crowded with "Guia"-style apps fighting over paid acquisition and ads, and Mobapps alone is bigger than Rocket Group. CredFit is one more new skin on this type of app.

### How far this playbook can be copied

What CredFit can teach isn't the features, it's the process:

1. **Pick high-CPM intent categories** : credit cards, loans, credit checks, government benefit lookups. Users arrive with money questions, and advertisers pay well for them.

2. **Build a low-friction questionnaire tool** : no ID number, no sign-up, a few questions to a result, with ad slots at every step.

3. **Get ROAS positive on the monetization side first** : AdMob hybrid mediation, with floor prices adjusted automatically via API. This is the engine of the whole setup, and Rocket Group spent six months tuning it.

4. **One package localized by region, tested in several markets at once** : creatives, audiences, and monetization settings proven in the parent app get reused directly, so a new app can break into the top 60 of Brazil's Finance chart within a month of launch.

The hard parts are step 3 and capital. Rocket Group has an app with 4.85M installs that keeps generating data and cash, its own media buying company, and a Google client team that reviews performance with them every week. Newcomers have none of that: they have to pay tuition out of their own pocket and get ROAS positive. Even with all that, CredFit hasn't proven anything yet. The US version hasn't charted, daily installs fell back to around 500 after a spike, and whether the US spend will pay back is not visible from the outside.

### If it were you

**C** . CredFit itself isn't worth copying. What's worth dissecting is the system behind it: "high-CPM finance questionnaire + AdMob monetization + in-house paid acquisition." Anyone following it can't replicate its real advantages: a parent app with 4.85M installs, an in-house media company, and six months of tuned monetization.

**Who it suits** : small teams that have already built a utility app in one country, run Google App campaigns or Meta ads, and can calculate each user's acquisition cost against ad revenue. Ideally, they understand the financial habits of a market not yet saturated with "finance guide" apps, such as countries where credit card penetration is rising and credit check requirements are a pain point, like Mexico, Colombia, Indonesia, the Philippines, or Vietnam. (We haven't counted how crowded these markets are. Check the Google Play finance category and the Meta Ad Library yourself before you start.)

**Who it doesn't suit** : anyone who hasn't run ads and expects organic store traffic. These apps have no word-of-mouth, and CredFit gets single-digit daily installs without paid spend. Also anyone wanting to target the US or Brazil: the US has Credit Karma and NerdWallet, Brazil has Serasa and Mobapps, plus Rocket Group itself. And anyone who only wants to write code: a questionnaire plus a card database can be built in days, with no technical moat.

**How to build it** : one home-language market, one package. A questionnaire of 6–8 questions, with results showing "recommended card + reason + estimated approval score." Start with about 30 cards in the database and update "this week's offers" weekly. No ID number, no sign-up, and state that in the first line of the store listing. Use AdMob mediation for monetization right away, with app open, interstitial, and native ads all enabled. Set floor prices manually at first, then automate once volume grows. The score page should clearly say "this is an estimate, not a credit check," since finance category app review looks for this.

**How to acquire users** : mainly Google App campaigns (UAC), with the creative built on a line like "Know if you'll be approved in a minute, no credit check." On Meta, test concrete audience copy like "cards for people with debt" or "your first credit card." Run small budgets for two to three weeks and watch one number: can the ad revenue from one user over 30 days cover what you paid to acquire them? If not, stop and don't add budget.

**Timing** : there's no seasonal deadline, but there is a window. Google publicly reshared Rocket Group's case study in October, so this playbook is getting more attention. If you want to claim a spot in a new market, ideally finish your first round of tests before Q1 2027.

**Signs you've misread this** : (1) One month after CredFit pauses paid spend, daily installs stay steadily in the hundreds or more, and reviews start mentioning real use. That would mean the low-friction questionnaire has organic demand beyond paid acquisition, and a B-grade rating is justified. (2) Rocket Group launches another country's version (say, a Spanish-language one) and it also charts in that country. That would mean the copy-paste playbook can pay back in new markets, and it's worth studying more seriously. (3) The reverse: if CredFit is pulled or stops updating within two months, or the US store never gains traction, then even a team with the full machine may not profit from a new brand, let alone someone starting from zero.

Last point: when you see an app that's "unremarkable but rising," first check what else the developer has. Often the real product is the company behind it.

Where users come from

- Inferred **Google Ads (App campaigns, through the group's in-house media company 3APPS)** : Google's Ads Transparency Center, searching aprov.app, shows the advertiser as 3APPS SOLUTIONS AND ADVISORY LTDA (Brazil, verified, about 600 ads). The contact email on the company registration belongs to founder Carlos Terceiro. The Rocket Group website states its main business is "Google Ads paid acquisition." CredFit's own creatives were not directly found.

- Inferred **Meta ads** : the "Aprov Brasil" page on Meta's Ad Library is running app-install ads (creatives launched from 2026-04 to 09); no CredFit ads found

- **Confirmed** **concentrated paid push to climb the Brazil charts** : installs rose in steps: 10-30 +7,804,11-01/02 +20,899, then daily adds fell back to about 500; 10-30 hit #57 on the BR Finance free chart and then slid steadily (googleplay library, AppstoreSpy estimates)

- Inferred **in-app review prompts** : 4.9 stars and 145 ratings in the Brazil store, with no external discussion. Likely reviews prompted inside the app

- Inferred **Instagram creators / UGC (parent app)** : promo videos like "Camila tried Aprov" show up on Instagram; none found for CredFit

## CredFit: Credit Card Finder (io.rocketgroup.credfit): why it showed up

> In short: CredFit didn't break out on its own. It's a new skin of the "credit card comparison + ad monetization" playbook from Brazil's Rocket Group (Rocket Media Tecnologia S/A), whose flagship app Aprov has 4.85M installs on Google Play. Same package: the Brazil version is in Portuguese and pushes Brazilian cards, the US version is in English and pushes 35 US cards. Installs come from the group's own paid-acquisition team, revenue from AdMob ads. So its "breakout" ran on existing paid-acquisition and monetization machinery. The product itself is nothing special.

Research date: 2026-11-06.

### 1. What it is

- Google Play name: the US listing is "CredFit: Credit Card Finder", the Brazil listing is "CredFit: Cartão de Crédito". Developer: ROCKET MEDIA. Store launch 2026-09-28. Category: Finance. Free, **marked "contains ads", no in-app purchases** (googleplay library app_snap, 2026-10-29 to 11-04: offers_iap=False, ad_supported=True).

- Features (store description, US and Brazil versions): answer 6 questions (8 in the Brazil version) → get a card recommendation with reasons; an approval-odds score of 0–1000%; side-by-side card comparisons; "this week's offers"; an automated assistant called Leticia that searches cards by criteria; no SSN/CPF, no sign-up, no credit check. It states it "is not a bank, does not issue cards, and does not broker applications. Apply on the issuer's website."
    - US version: compares "35 popular US credit cards". Source: [play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=io.rocketgroup.credfit…](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=io.rocketgroup.credfit&hl=en&gl=us)
    - Brazil version: compares "major Brazilian credit cards", with categories like "cards for people with debt (cartão para negativados)" and "cards that are easy to get approved." The Brazil store shows **4.9 stars and 145 ratings** . Source: same page with hl=pt-BR&gl=br (2026-11-06 scrape).

- Data safety: only declares collecting and sharing "device or other IDs," used for "ads or marketing" (https://play.google.com/store/apps/datasafety?id=io.rocketgroup.credfit). In other words, only ad SDKs are integrated, and no financial user data is collected.

- The developer site credfit.rocketgroup.io is currently a "under construction" placeholder page hosted by Data2, which suggests this product isn't pursuing a web/SEO channel.

### 2. Data: how many installs, and where they came from

| Date | Total installs | Source |
|---|---|---|
| 2026-10-07 | 557 | AppstoreSpy estimate (googleplay.app_day_ext) |
| 2026-10-19 | 1,933 | Same as above |
| 2026-10-26 | 5,281 | Same as above |
| 2026-10-29 | 5,283 | googleplay.app_snap |
| 2026-10-30 | 13,087 | Same as above (+7,804 per day) |
| 2026-11-02 | 33,986 | Same as above (+20,899 within two or three days) |
| 2026-11-05 | 35,574 | AppstoreSpy estimate; from 11-03 to 11-05 averaged about 529 per day |

A few highlights:

- **Growth came in bursts** : in mid-October it added about 50–150 per day; from 10-20 to 10-26 it added 300–700 per day; during 10-27/28 it nearly stalled (about 1 per day); from 10-29 to 11-02 there were two step-ups, +28.7k in total; then it dropped back to about 500 per day. This shape, where installs rise when spend is on and flatten when it's off, is what a concentrated paid acquisition test looks like, not organic word of mouth.

- **It only charted on the Brazil Finance free chart** : 10-29 #80,10-30 #57 (its best), then 64 → 81 → 114 → 140 → 178 (googleplay.chart_rank). AppInsider records it as first seen in Brazil 10-26, entering the top 100 of the Brazil Finance free chart on 10-28 (https://appinsider.io/android/app/io.rocketgroup.credfit). It never charted in the US store or in the other 28 storefronts we track.

- **The 20k+ installs between 11-01 and 11-02 most likely didn't come from Brazil** : in those two days its Brazil rank actually fell from 64 to 114. We can't see installs by country. Our guess (unverified) is that the US or another country we don't track got a push, letting the English version run a cold-start test.

### 3. Who's behind it: Rocket Group's paid-acquisition and monetization machine

- **Other apps from the same developer** (googleplay library, 2026-11-06):
    - Aprov: Credit Cards Compare (co.apps.aprov): **4,847,265 installs** , store launch 2025-07-01, ranked #29–33 on the Brazil Finance free chart and #148 on the overall Brazil apps chart. It added about 90k in a week from 10-29 to 11-05. A same-named app is also on the App Store (id6740629250, seller Rocket Media Tecnologia S.A.).
    - Empréstimo Pessoal Ideal (co.apps.emprestimoideal): about 1.4M installs, a loan comparison app.
    - Novely (short drama / fiction): about 74k installs.

- **Company** : Rocket Group Holding Ltda (CNPJ 65.195.470/0001-01), with Rocket Media Tecnologia S/A (CNPJ 54.212.505/0001-49) underneath it. Its website describes it as "Google Ads acquisition, owned finance and benefits content sites (millions of visitors a month), ad monetization, data-driven" (https://rocketgroup.io/, [rocketgroup.io/sobre-nos/](https://rocketgroup.io/sobre-nos/)). Founder and CEO is Carlos (Augusto) Terceiro.

来源:[admob.google.com/home/resources/rocket-group-powers-a-profit…](https://admob.google.com/home/resources/rocket-group-powers-a-profitable-growth-flywheel-with-hybrid-mediation-in-google-admob/)

- **Paid acquisition accounts** :
    - Google's Ads Transparency Center, searching the domain aprov.app, lists the advertiser as "3APPS SOLUTIONS AND ADVISORY LTDA" in Brazil, verified, with **about 600 ads** (https://adstransparency.google.com/advertiser/AR09404423084682772481). This company's CNPJ is 51.329.151/0001-29,2023-07, incorporated in Fortaleza, with main CNAE 7312200 (ad placement agency). The registered email is carlosaugustoterceir…, which means it's the founder's own media-buying company (cnpja.com / pesquisaempresas.com.br).
    - The Meta Ad Library shows an "Aprov Brasil" page running ads, with creatives launched progressively from 2026-04 to 09, copy reading "the best credit options are at Aprov, download now."
    - Instagram shows creator/UGC-style promo videos for Aprov, such as "Camila tried Aprov" (Jina search results).
    - **We found no ads for CredFit itself** : our metaads, googleads, and tiktokads libraries don't track it. The Google Transparency Center shows 0 ads when searched by the rocketgroup.io domain. But app-install ads link to the store, not the website domain, so searching by domain wouldn't find them. Conclusion: "very likely running through the group's same Google App promotion / Meta accounts, not directly verified."

### 4. How it makes money (inferred)

Users use it free. Every question, result, and comparison has ad slots (interstitial / app open / native). Finance keywords carry high CPMs in both Brazil and the US, and Aprov's case shows this AdMob setup can reach "ad revenue > acquisition cost" (positive ROAS). "This week's offers" and "apply on the issuer's website" may also connect to credit card affiliate programs (paid per application or card issued), unverified. The listing explicitly says it "does not broker applications," so ads are most likely the main revenue.

### 5. Competitors

**Brazil (the market where it actually charted)** :

| Product | Platform | Launched | Scale (googleplay library, 2026-11) | How CredFit differs |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Aprov (sibling app) | Android / iOS | 2025-07 | 4.85M installs, about 30 on the BR Finance free chart | Same company, same playbook. Aprov is a combined hub for "cards + loans + CPF lookup + weekly prize draws"; CredFit only does "card matching + approval odds," and it's bilingual, targeting two markets |
| Cartão de Crédito com Limite / Credguia(Facilita - Mobapps) | Android | Relatively early | 13.2M installs | A Brazilian "financial guide + ads" matrix. This company also has Consulta CPF 22.6M, FGTS 16.6M, and Empréstimo 5.2M. The biggest player in this niche |
| Meu Cartão Ideal(UTUA) | Android | 2023-11 | 930k installs | Same quiz-style card picker, roughly an order of magnitude smaller |
| Serasa(Serasa Experian) | Android / iOS | 2019 | 115M installs, #1 on BR Finance Top Grossing chart | The official credit bureau app, with real CPF and scores. The "approval odds" in its card recommendations use real credit data. CredFit doesn't check CPF; it only estimates from a quiz |
| Bank apps (Nubank, PicPay, Itaú…) | Android / iOS | — | Tens of millions to hundreds of millions | Only promote their own cards |

**US (the target market for the English version)** :

| Product | Platform | Scale | Difference |
|---|---|---|---|
| Intuit Credit Karma | Android / iOS / web | 61.4M installs (googleplay library) | Real credit checks, "Approval Odds," and card recommendations; requires sign-up and SSN. CredFit's pitch is no SSN and results in one minute |
| Experian | Android / iOS / web | 21.3M installs, #47 on US Finance Top Grossing chart | Card comparison + approval odds, requires a profile |
| NerdWallet, WalletHub, CardRatings, Bankrate | Mostly web, also apps | Very large web traffic (scale unverified) | Built on SEO and credit card affiliate revenue, with deep content and many cards. CredFit has 35 cards and no content |
| CardPointers, MaxRewards | iOS / Android | Niche paid tools | Optimize points for people who already have cards; a different category |

Bottom line: **this feature has no real scarcity** . The US has giants like Credit Karma and NerdWallet, and Brazil has Serasa and the Mobapps matrix. CredFit reached 34k installs not because it has anything others don't.

### 6. Why it took off

1. **A ready-made "paid acquisition → AdMob monetization" flywheel sits behind it** : Rocket Group already dialed in Google Ads acquisition accounts (3APPS, about 600 ads), Meta campaigns, and AdMob hybrid mediation with automated price tuning through Aprov. Google's official case study says monetization grew so fast the acquisition team couldn't keep up. At that point the natural move is to launch more apps and open new markets to spread the budget. CredFit is that step.

2. **The install curve looks like paid acquisition** : daily adds jumped from about 1 to about 2,600, then about 10,000, then fell back to about 500 (AppstoreSpy estimates / googleplay library). No reviews, no press, no social discussion (TikTok and X searches turn up nothing for credfit), so the evidence for organic growth is zero.

3. **The category has good unit economics** : users with credit card and loan intent bid high in ad networks (Brazilian consumers with debt have strong demand for "cards that are easy to get approved"). The store also converts well for free tools in this category. The Brazil store's 4.9 stars and 145 ratings most likely come from in-app review prompts (inferred).

4. **Bilingual bundle, testing two markets at once** : one bundle ID localized by region (Brazil = Portuguese + Brazilian cards; US = English + 35 US cards). For paid acquisition, the Portuguese market reuses the already-validated Brazilian audience, while the English side tests the high-CPM US pool cheaply. 11-01/02 When that 20k-install wave came in, Brazil's rank actually slipped, which fits "testing paid installs in other countries" (unverified).

### 7. Differentiation

- The product-level differentiation is thin: "no SSN/CPF, no sign-up, 6 questions to a result, 0–1000 approval score." Compared with Credit Karma / Experian / Serasa's "you need a credit file, you need credit history," its friction is lower, but the score is just a questionnaire estimate with no real credit data.

- The real differentiation is operational: **one company runs everything in-house, from paid acquisition and media buying to monetization, and can quickly replicate shell apps** (Aprov → loan app → CredFit). That is why it can drive installs; the product itself is not what sets it apart.

### 8. Exposure / copycats

- CredFit itself: **few people know about it yet** . No media coverage, nothing searchable on X or TikTok, revenue not public, only auto-listed on third-party chart sites like AppInsider and AppBrain.

- But the playbook behind it is already semi-public: 2026-10-15 Google AdMob officially published the Rocket Group / Aprov case study (daily revenue +209%, CPM +92%), and 11-02 reposted it on Publisher Connections. So "paid acquisition for a Brazilian finance guide app + AdMob" is public knowledge in developer and ad-monetization circles. The Brazilian category is already crowded (Mobapps, UTUA, plus many "Guia"-style apps).

- Copycats: CredFit is too new, and no one copying it specifically has been spotted yet. It is itself a copy (copying Aprov, and also the Mobapps-style category).

### 9. What others can learn

- "High-CPM intent categories (credit cards / loans / credit checks / benefit lookups) + low-friction questionnaire tools + AdMob mediation + in-house paid acquisition" is a replicable playbook. The key is getting ROAS positive on the monetization side, then localizing one bundle by region and testing in several markets at once.

- The new shell app uses creative, audiences, and monetization configs already validated by the parent app. In the cold-start phase it relied on paid acquisition to push straight into the local category chart (it entered the top 60 of BR Finance within a month of launch).

- "No ID number, no sign-up" is a strong selling point for lowering first-step drop-off in a finance tool.

### 10. Still unclear

- Exactly which platforms, countries, and how much CredFit spends on ads: our ad libraries don't track it, not directly verified.

- How the 34k installs split between the US and Brazil; where that 11-01/02 wave came from.

- Whether there is credit-card affiliate revenue, or pure ad revenue.

- Whether the US English version can get retention and ROAS positive (the US store has not charted at all).

- The version number reached 10-29 then 1.28.1, and 10-31 then 1.29.0, within a month of launch. Such a high version number this early may mean it reuses Aprov's codebase or version sequence (inference).
