WhatsApp love-phrase stickers that went from 10k to 1.15M installs in a month: not a new product, but a new account from an old leader

What it is An App that adds "I love you / I miss you / good night" couple stickers to WhatsApp. One tap adds them to WhatsApp, and it earns from ads inside the App.

Why it blew up The old king of this keyword (a Pakistani dev, the one with 32.6M installs) launched a new app under a UK shell company, stuffed the package name, title, description and update notes with keywords, and is going after the low-barrier communication free charts in Nigeria, the Middle East and South Africa. The Oct 7 inflection point is unverified; it may be paid acquisition.

CHow you could follow it Don't make the Nth Romantic Stickers. Copy its ASO approach but pick a long-tail keyword nobody has taken (love phrases in some language, a holiday, an expression popular in one country), target a country where Communication chart entry is easy, and treat it as one more package in a shell matrix.

Grade C: the playbook is clear and cheap, but it relies on the veteran's experience and assets, the product has zero differentiation, dozens of identical packages already crowd this keyword, revenue is just ads in low-ARPU countries, and there's a risk of Google penalizing duplicate content. Hardly anyone knows about it yet.

Romantic Love Emoji WAStickers is an App that adds "I love you / I miss you / good night" stickers to WhatsApp, and it's indistinguishable from dozens of same-named Apps on Google Play. It launched at the end of August, and for over a month almost nobody installed it. It took off in October 7, reaching 6M cumulative installs by November 1.15, and ranked #9 on Nigeria's free Communication chart. Digging further, the people behind it already have a 32.6M-install older package on this keyword. Below: what it sells, where the traffic came from, who is behind it, and whether others can still take this path.

Almost zero growth for a month, then 150k in a single day

It launched in Aug 30 of 2026. By Oct 6, cumulative installs were only 12,583, and at the end of September it was adding only a few dozen a day (AppstoreSpy estimate).

The Oct 7 curve turned: that week averaged about 5,900 installs a day. On 10-14 it did about 11k in a day, 10-16 about 24k, 10-18 about 44k, and 10-21 about 159k in a day. In Oct 20 it shipped 1.1.0 versions. As of 10-29 cumulative installs were 742k, 11-06 reached 1.15M, and the last 7 days added 408k (Google Play installs).

The chart presence spread: 10-29 it was only on the free Communication chart in 19 countries, ranking #72 to #186; from 11-04 it was on the chart every day in 30 countries. 11-06 rankings:

What happened on the Oct 7 day can't be seen from the outside. It could be Google app ad campaigns, a store-page change that lifted search rankings, or a traffic push from the owner's older package (all inferred, none verified). Searching the name on TikTok returns only Sticker.ly share codes and personal emoji accounts, with no one promoting it. X has zero posts in 30 days, and no media outlet has written about it.

What it sells

The first store-page screenshot shows a photo of a kissing couple, with the line: "Romantic Love Emoji WASticker, 5000+ Stickers & Emojis". The second shows a WhatsApp chat screen, titled "Send Stickers to your Love", with stickers made from a black-and-white couple photo and a pair of red lips in the chat box.

Usage is four steps: open the App, pick a sticker pack, tap "ADD TO WHATSAPP", then use it in WhatsApp. There are no in-app purchases and no subscription; the developer's app-ads.txt on their website has just two lines, one for Google AdMob and one for tappx. All revenue comes from in-App ads. Ad prices in emerging markets are low, so how much 1.15M installs earns can't be calculated from the outside.

This business has existed since 2018, when WhatsApp opened sticker packs to third parties. What's really worth studying is not the product but the words on the store page.

Every word on the store page is a keyword

  • Package name: romantic.stickers.love.wasticker.forwhatsapp, which is itself a string of search terms.
  • Title: "Romantic Love Emoji WAStickers", packing in four high-frequency terms at once: romantic, love, emoji, wastickers.
  • Description: bold lines stacked with dozens of "XX Stickers for WhatsApp" entries (I Love You Stickers, I Miss You Stickers, Sorry Love Stickers, Good Morning Love Stickers, Forehead Kiss Stickers...), then 20 category lists, each line another keyword.
  • Update notes: where a description of what changed should go, there are 18 lines of keywords, some repeated.

This is the oldest ASO play on Play. The category choice is smart too: the Communication free chart has a low bar, and in Nigeria, the Middle East, South Africa, Southeast Asia, and Latin America, WhatsApp is the default chat tool and phones skew Android. Charting also brings extra chart exposure and "similar apps" recommendations.

Who's behind it

The store page's "About this developer" lists Future Sole, company GLOBAL ENTERPRISES PK LTD, at a registered agent address in Wolverhampton, UK, with a gmail contact.

In the UK Companies House registry, this company was incorporated in Mar 2026 9, with a sole director, Muhammad Kalim Ullah, a Pakistani national born in 1998. Pakistani developers often use these UK shell companies to open organization accounts on Google Play.

The same name appears on another developer account, Future-Apps, whose store page reads "Muhammad Kalim ullah, Pakistan". Its flagship, "Romantic Stickers WASticker.ly", launched in May 2023, has 32.6M installs, is still adding 297k in the last 7 days, and ranks #22 on Nigeria's Communication chart. It also has a second app, "Romantic Stickers - WAStickers", with 2.97M installs.

The two account names differ by one word, and it's the same person behind both. In other words, this is the old hand of the "romantic stickers" keyword opening a new account to claim another slot under the same search terms. He knows which keywords have volume and which countries are easy to crack, and the sticker assets and app shell are ready-made. The benefit of a new account is risk isolation: if the old account gets penalized by Google for duplicate content, the new one is not affected (inference). Future Sole also has a second app, "Romantic Stickers Love Sticker", which looks like another package from the same playbook.

The ratings look odd

Among the first 900 ratings, the US store has no 1–3 star reviews at all, only 4-star and 5-star, averaging 4.83 (10-29). Starting 11-02, 1-star reviews appear, and by 11-06 the US distribution is 1 stars 443, 2 stars 88, 3 stars 88, 4 stars 355, 5 stars 798, with the average dropping to 3.55.

The top "most helpful" reviews pinned on the store page are all from Nov 3:

"I'm interested and want to know more about this application" — 562 people found this helpful. "A very good app." — 224 people found this helpful. "good" — 67 people found this helpful.

Empty filler reviews for a sticker app getting hundreds of "helpful" votes is not normal. The early reviews are all positive, which may mean the app only pushes the rating prompt to people likely to give high scores, or the reviews may be purchased. Unverified. The store's data safety section also says "no data collected, no data shared", which doesn't match having AdMob integrated.

In the week after it took off (10-15 to 10-20), 4 more same-name packages appeared: Street Television's "Love Emoji - Romantic Stickers", Spartan, HAMZ (560k), and ZOBEST (540k). Hard to tell whether they're chasing this app or the keyword as a whole.

If it were you

Verdict: There's something to learn here, but following it isn't worth much. It proves "romantic stickers" has steady demand in emerging markets, and that ASO plus a small-country category chart can push past a million installs in a month. But it got there on the old hand's experience and assets, the product itself has zero differentiation, dozens of interchangeable packages already crowd the keyword, and the money is only low-CPM ads from cheap-traffic countries.

Good fit for: Teams already running a tools/shell-app portfolio on Play, with AdMob accounts, multiple developer accounts, and experience buying traffic in emerging markets, who treat it as one more package in the portfolio.

Not for: Anyone who wants to build a product of their own; anyone with a single developer account who can't afford a Google penalty for duplicate content or keyword stuffing; anyone counting on in-app purchases or subscriptions from this kind of app.

How to do it: Don't make the Nth "Romantic Stickers." Copy the method and switch to a long-tail keyword that isn't saturated: love phrases in a specific language (Swahili, Hausa, Arabic dialects, Turkish "miss you / good night" text stickers), a holiday (Eid, Diwali, Christmas), or a sticker style popular in one country. Use Play search to check installs and launch dates for the top 10 results on that term. Only enter if there are many old packages, few new ones, and the top tier is only in the hundreds of thousands.

How to get installs: Write package name, title, description, and update notes around the keyword; the title should contain 3–4 high-frequency terms. Chase the chart in countries where the Communication chart bar is low: Nigeria, South Africa, the Gulf states. For cold start, a small Google App campaign can push it over the chart threshold, after which the chart and search take over.

When to be early: This isn't a window-based opportunity but a permanently open, permanently crowded old market. The truly time-bound ones are holiday keywords: launch four to six weeks before the holiday to leave time for rankings to build.

Signs you've misread it: ① installs keep rising after November and ratings hold above 4 stars, suggesting shell packages retain better than expected and there's room to follow; ② Future-Apps or Future Sole packages get pulled, meaning Google is cleaning up this kind of duplicate content and the path closes; ③ WhatsApp's built-in AI stickers become widespread in these countries, and demand for third-party sticker packs drops with them.

Why Romantic Love Emoji WAStickers (Future Sole) managed to break out

Channel: Google Play | Package romantic.stickers.love.wasticker.forwhatsapp | Developer Future Sole (legal entity GLOBAL ENTERPRISES PK LTD) | First published 2026-08-30 | Research date 2026-11-06 Data: googleplay library (app / app_snap / app_day / app_day_ext / chart_rank, 10-29 to 11-06), metaads / googleads / tiktokads libraries, Jina reading the Play store page and UK Companies House, TikHub, x-radar.

One line

This is a WhatsApp romantic sticker pack shell app, functionally no different from dozens of same-name apps. It broke out for two reasons. First, behind it is an old player in this keyword: Future Sole's legal entity is GLOBAL ENTERPRISES PK LTD, director Muhammad Kalim Ullah; his older account Future-Apps has "Romantic Stickers WASticker.ly" with 32.6M installs, the old hand of this term. Second, it uses the standard Play ASO playbook: package name, title, description, and update notes all stuffed with keywords, then pushing the Communication free chart in emerging markets outside India. In short, an old team opened a new account and rolled out another package.

1. Data (googleplay library)

  • Cumulative installs: 10-29 742,151 → 11-06 1,150,526, +408,375 in the last 7 days (app_profile). 11-06 single-observation +131,886.
  • Post-launch curve (app_day_ext, AppstoreSpy estimate): barely any downloads for over a month after launch. 9-14 only 8,361, and by 10-06 just 12,583, with daily installs at the end of September only a few dozen. 10-07 then suddenly took off: from 10-07 to 10-13 averaged about 5,900,10-14 around 11k, 10-16 about 24k, 10-18 about 44k, and a single day about 159k at 10-21; by 10-27 it reached 740k, and 11-06 passed 1.15M. In between, 10-20 shipped 1.1.0 (store page: "Updated on Oct 20, 2026"), and 11-06 updated again to 1.1.1.
  • Rating: 900 → 1,775, +106–176 a day, roughly 0.15% of installs leave a rating. The rating distribution is suspicious: 10-29 to 11-01, the US store histogram at 1–3 stars is all 0, with only 4-star and 5-star reviews (10-29 at [0,0,0,150,750], average 4.83). 11-02 is when 1-star reviews start showing up, and by 11-06 it's [443,88,88,355,798], and the US average has dropped to 3.55. The Nigeria store page shows 4.0 (1.81K reviews), and the developer page shows 3.7. Early on there were only good reviews, which could mean the app only sends the rating prompt to users likely to give high marks (rating gating), or it could be fake reviews; unverified. The three most helpful reviews on the store page are all 11-03 filler: "I'm interested and want to know more about this application" was marked helpful by 562 people, and "A very good app" by 224. That many helpful votes is odd for a sticker app with a million installs; unverified.
  • Monetization: app_snap shows offers_iap=False, so there are no in-app purchases. The developer website is listed as ifee5490f.app-ads-txt.com (a free app-ads.txt host provided by tappx), and the file has only two lines: Google AdMob pub-6281502150625248 and tappx. So it likely earns from AdMob ads, and tappx may be used for cross-promotion or traffic swaps. However, the Data safety section says "No data collected / No data shared," which doesn't match using AdMob.
  • Text: the update notes are all keywords (Romantic Love Stickers WASticker / Love Stickers for WhatsApp / Cute Love Stickers WASticker / Love Emoji Stickers WASticker / Romantic Couple Stickers... 18 lines total, with duplicates). The description has dozens of bolded "XX Stickers for WhatsApp" lines. The package name is itself a keyword string: romantic.stickers.love.wasticker.forwhatsapp.

2. Who's behind it: the owner of Future-Apps opened a new account (confirmed)

  • Play Store "About the developer" section: Future Sole = GLOBAL ENTERPRISES PK LTD, address Office 1424, 85 Dunstall Hill, Wolverhampton WV6 0SR (this is a registered agent address), phone +44, email [email protected].
  • UK Companies House: company number 17076890,2026-03-09 registered, SIC 47910 (online retail). Sole director Muhammad Kalim Ullah, Pakistani national, lives in Pakistan, born 1998, identity verified by the agent firm SMARTLEDGER. Pakistani developers often use this kind of UK shell company to open Play organization accounts.
  • Old account Future-Apps: flagship "Romantic Stickers WASticker.ly", package com.romanticstickers.lovestickers.wastickers.ly, launched 2023-05, 32.6M installs, +297k in the last 7 days, ranked 22 on Nigeria's Communication chart. Its Play page "About the developer" lists Muhammad Kalim ullah, Pakistan, with the website kaleemkhansial2233.blogspot.com. Also under the account: Romantic Stickers - WAStickers (2.97M), WASticker Romantic Stickers, and Funny Memes Stickers-WASticker.
  • So Future Sole and Future-Apps are two accounts run by the same person, with names differing by only one word. Future Sole currently has two apps under its name (per the Play developer page): this app, and "Romantic Stickers Love Sticker" (romantic.stickers.wastickers.loveromance, not in our database).
  • This explains a few things: he knew the keyword had demand and which countries had volume; the sticker assets and shell code were ready to reuse; and with a new account and new package name, he can claim another spot on the same search terms. A new account also isolates risk from the old one. If the old account were flagged for duplicate content, the new one would not be affected. (This last point is inference.)

Bottom line: this is an old red ocean that has existed since WhatsApp opened third-party sticker packs 2018 years ago. In 2026 a new wave of packs poured in, and this app is one of them.

4. Growth tactics

  • Store search + ASO (confirmed): the package name, title, description, and update notes are all written around keywords. The title "Romantic Love Emoji WAStickers" covers four high-frequency terms at once: romantic, love, emoji, and wastickers. A Jina search also found a Play link carrying utm_term="romantic love emoji wastickers", showing that people search for this phrase on Google.
  • Communication Top Free charts in emerging markets (confirmed): from 11-04 on, 30 stores all charted. Nigeria ranked #9, and the Middle East, South Africa, Turkey, Southeast Asia, and Latin America all sat at #12–22. In these countries WhatsApp is the default chat app and phones are mostly Android, so the bar to chart in the free Communication category is low. Once on the chart, the app also gets chart exposure and "similar apps" recommendations.
  • Experience and asset reuse from the old team (confirmed to be the same person; reuse is inference): see section 2.
  • Inflection point for 10-07 (cause not verified): for more than a month before 10-06, growth was nearly zero. From 10-07, daily installs jumped from dozens to 5,900, and within two weeks the total roughly doubled to over a hundred thousand. Possible causes: Google App Campaigns paid acquisition; a store page or keyword change that lifted search ranking; or cross-promotion through tappx or the old account. Our googleads, metaads, and tiktokads databases don't track this package or company, so their absence proves nothing. That said, AdMob-focused indie developers buying UAC in low-CPI countries like Nigeria and India to push charts is common.
  • Rating management (suspicious, not verified): none of the first 900 ratings were 1–3 stars. The pinned filler reviews at the top of the store page have several hundred helpful votes.
  • TikTok / X / press (none): a TikHub search for "romantic love emoji wastickers" turned up Sticker.ly share codes and personal emoji accounts at the top, with nobody promoting the app. x-radar found 30 posts in 0 days. Online there are only Softonic, APK mirrors, and automated pages from Similarweb / Apptopia.

5. Why it took off

  1. Rigid demand: in emerging markets, couples sending "love you / miss you / good morning / good night" stickers is a high-frequency behavior. The same owner's old package reached 32.6M installs on this keyword, which proves it.
  2. The right people: the owner of the leading package for this keyword opened a new account and is doing it again. He knows which terms to claim and which countries to target, and the assets and shell are ready to reuse.
  3. Distribution: keyword ASO plus charting in the free Communication category across 30 stores. It reached #9 in Nigeria, a better rank than Exdev (#15 in India, #29 in Nigeria), which suggests it picked markets with looser competition.
  4. Cold start had a clear inflection point (10-07), after which charts and search fed growth on their own. Whether that point came from paid acquisition or algorithmic recommendation is not verified.

6. Differentiation

Nothing in the product. Like Exdev, Stickorax, and Willcar, it's a "sticker pack + ADD TO WHATSAPP" app. The name adds "Emoji", and the assets lean toward emoji-style heart stickers, but that's just keyword choice, not a feature. What sets it apart from the others is who made it: a leading operator opening a new account to copy the playbook, plus targeting Nigeria, the Middle East, and South Africa rather than Exdev's India focus. Those explain why it performed, not anything about the product. Its rating falling from 4.8 to 3.5 suggests the experience is no better than its competitors'.

7. How many people saw it and who is copying it

  • Visibility: few people know about it yet. No press coverage, 0 posts on X, revenue not public, and only automated pages on APK sites and data aggregators.
  • Copycats: after it took off around 10-07, Street Television's "Love Emoji - Romantic Stickers" (10-15, package name com.whatsapp.romanticstickers.emoji.love.wasticker), Spartan's "Romantic Stickers: WASticker" (10-18), HAMZ LIMITED (10-18.6M), and ZOBEST (10-20.5M) appeared within a week, between 10-15 and 10-20. Kalmzee also has an identically named "Romantic Love Emoji WAStickers" on Aptoide. Whether these were chasing it specifically can't be confirmed; they may all be chasing the keyword.

8. What others can learn

  • On a long-tail term where an old app has already proven demand, use a new account and new package name to claim another search slot, isolating risk from the old account.
  • The title and package name claim 3–4 high-frequency terms at once; update notes are also used as keyword slots.
  • Pick countries with looser competition and chase low-barrier categories like Communication (#9–12 in Nigeria, the UAE, and South Africa). That's easier than fighting head-on in India.
  • Risks: Google Play policies on duplicate content, keyword stuffing, and rating manipulation; a Data safety declaration that doesn't match AdMob use could also draw penalties. The rating fell from 4.8 to 3.5 within a week, so retention may be poor.

9. Uncertain

  • The direct cause of the 10-07 takeoff: whether Google UAC was used, and whether tappx or the old account drove cross-promotion.
  • Why the early reviews were all 4–5 stars (rating-prompt filtering or fake ratings).
  • Ad revenue: eCPMs in emerging markets are low, and it's unclear how much 1.15M installs earn.
  • How Future Sole's second app performs, and whether the old Future-Apps account has been restricted (its last update was 2026-08-19).
