# Over ten thousand installs got it into Thailand's top 60 social chart: Geegoo is not a new product, it's another shell on a live-streamer video chat backend

**What it is** A one-on-one video chat app with live streamers, where users buy coins and pay per minute. It's a ready-made backend with a different name and icon.

**Why it took off** Around Oct 20, someone bought a batch of traffic for it all at once, and Thailand's social free chart only needs a few thousand new installs a week to reach the top 100, so ten thousand-plus installs was enough to chart.

**D** **How you could follow** Indie developers shouldn't follow. Overseas social teams that already have streamer supply, payment channels, and multi-country paid acquisition could buy an off-the-shelf white-label backend, run one shell in one or two low-barrier countries, and scale up only after testing for break-even.

Grade D: Nothing at the product level worth copying. Growth comes from existing streamer backends, multi-account shell rotation, and paid acquisition, which followers can't access or risk bans for. Several Indonesian personal-account shells already hit the million mark, so the space is crowded. Barely anyone knows about it yet

Data (updated daily) · first launch 2026-08-31 · 11-07 installs 19,310

Android · Total installs worldwide

Data 2026-10-29 → 2026-11-07 (10 days, 10 observations). Google's detail page only refreshes install counts every other day, so a flat day doesn't mean nobody installed.

Geegoo is a video chat app listed on Google Play in Aug 31, with the developer account under an Indonesian individual's name. By Nov 6 it had 19,310 installs in total, gained 7 in the last 9,274 days, and ranked #73 in Thailand's social free chart, with zero ratings and zero reviews, and the version number has stayed at 1.0.0. It looks like a new app that just surfaced, but it's really a new skin on a mature "1v1 streamer paid video" backend, and the same account has five or six sibling shells. What's worth watching is how this business operates, not this one app.

### A one-star review: "all pay, no play"

In Sep 2026 10, a user named Kid Blue left a review on Google Play for GooRose: "fake app all pay no play." Two weeks later the developer replied: "To maintain a healthy community environment, we strictly crack down on any fraudulent behavior. If you have questions, please contact our in-app customer service, available 24 hours a day."

GooRose and Geegoo were published under the same developer account, AndiWiji. GooRose launched a year earlier, with 100k+ downloads, a 4.1 rating, and 390 reviews. The review section shows the whole business: last Dec 25, someone said "people are nice, it's just that you have to top up in dollars, which is a hassle"; this Mar 5, someone said "stop pretending, everything is behind a paywall." Under each one, the developer's reply was the same customer service script.

Geegoo has no reviews yet. But it's the same thing.

### What it is

Geegoo's store description is gentle: "a relaxed social space to meet new friends in real time" and "sometimes a simple hello is enough to start a fun conversation." But the release notes for the 1.0.0 version spell it out: "browse streamer profiles, chat with streamers, video call with streamers" (Play store page, 11-06).

So it's not random stranger matching. It's **one-on-one paid video with streamers** : users buy coins and pay by the minute to video chat and message. In-app purchases range from $0.99 to $99.99, rated Mature 17+. It hasn't had a single update in the two-plus months since launch.

A few giveaways: the package name is `spark.welo.call`, which doesn't match the name Geegoo; the privacy policy sits under `cosmopolitan.joylink.pro/Geegoo-about/`, the same domain as GooRose; and GooRose's release notes call itself "JoyLink v1.0.8". JoyLink is the internal name for this backend.

### How fast it grew, and how it made the chart

| Date | Total installs |
|---|---|
| 09-27 | 2,732 |
| 10-04 to 10-19 | 3,902 → 3,939, then mostly stalled |
| 10-26 | 10,026 |
| 10-31 | 13,035 |
| 11-03 | 18,361 |
| 11-06 | 19,310 |

(Google Play install counts; through October and earlier they are third-party estimates. Store install counts refresh only every few days, so read the trend, not single-day numbers.)

The curve has two phases: it reached about 3,900 a month after launch, then stalled for almost three weeks; then **it suddenly picked up again around Oct 20** , adding 15k in just over two weeks. Zero ratings, zero reviews, never updated: no sign of organic growth. This surge was most likely bought (inferred, I didn't directly see any ads).

It charted because the bar is low. On the same Thailand social free chart in Nov 6, #65 Emily had only 5,336 total installs, and #89 Marla had just 10,187 (Google Play chart, 11-06). A few thousand new installs a week is enough to squeeze into the top 100. Geegoo peaked at #29 in Oct 59, dropped to #3 in Nov 173, and returned to #6 in Nov 73. It also held #142 in Turkey, #161 in Malaysia, #173 in Saudi Arabia, and reached the #190 area in the Philippines around the end of October. It has never charted on any top-grossing chart.

### Where the traffic comes from

**One account, several shells taking turns.** AndiWiji has GooRose, Rion, Wanya, Geegoo, Joofun, and Wifun. All privacy policies are hosted on joylink.pro, and the support email is the same gmail address. Geegoo targets Thailand and Turkey. Its sibling Joofun jumped from about 1 installs to 3 between Nov 480 and 9,545, and at the same time charted on the social free charts in Saudi Arabia, India, and Malaysia. It looks like a paid acquisition team testing shells country by country in batches, then scaling whichever one breaks even (inferred).

**Same template, across more than a dozen accounts.** Searching Google Play for the same privacy policy path (`<name>-about/PrivacyPolicy.html`) turns up 23 apps under 13 developer accounts. Some are under individual names, some under a US LLC or a Hong Kong trading company, and all were listed between Jul 2026 and Sep 8 21. Domains follow an "adjective subdomain + odd-word domain" pattern (utopian.slico.xyz, regal.smoov.fun, aristocratic.sipme.uno), and package names are random three-part words (spark.hushlo.chat, aura.budi.talk, luna.winkio.meet). The largest, Xun, has 161k installs and Xein 104k, and one reached a top-grossing social chart in India. This uniformity most likely points to a single white-label supplier, or one publishing team mass-producing shells (inferred).

**An individual developer account as the storefront.** The developer website describes AndiWiji as "an Indonesian individual studio founded in 2016, making social products suited to Indonesian culture, with 100% of users in Indonesia," and the account holder is registered in Jember, East Java. Yet Geegoo has never charted in Indonesia. Individual accounts are mainly used to get through review and spread out ban risk.

**Not working.** Over the past 90 days there was no post on X mentioning Geegoo or GooRose, no related videos on TikTok, no media coverage, and only automated listings on download sites like Softonic, CNET, APKPure, and AppBrain.

### Where the money comes from

Money in this category comes from a small group of heavy users who buy coins and pay per minute for video with streamers. GooRose's reviews ("you have to top up in dollars," "everything is behind a paywall") show that people are indeed paying. A third-party estimate puts GooRose's in-app revenue in October between $10k and $48k (unverified).

Geegoo itself has no reviews and hasn't charted on any top-grossing list. Whether people pay, and whether they stay, is invisible from outside. It's more like a lottery ticket: a ready-made backend, a reskin, a small budget to chart in one country, scale up if it pays back, move to the next shell if it doesn't.

### Who it's competing with

The category is already crowded (Google Play installs, around 11-06):

| Product | Launched | Scale | How it differs from Geegoo |
|---|---|---|---|
| Chamet | 2019 | 78.4M installs, #4 in UAE top grossing overall | Major brand with live streaming + party rooms + 1v1 |
| Azar | 2013 | 293M | Match Group's licensed random video chat |
| OmeTV | 2015 | 254M, 7 days +968k, #11 in Thailand social free | Mostly free random matching |
| Tango / Bigo Live / Poppo Live | 2010–2022 | 48M–850M | Live-streaming tipping platform, several orders of magnitude bigger |
| Tina Live, Chatta, Tigo, Dico, Chato, and others | 2021–2025 | 5M–37M, all in the top 100 of Thailand social free | Older clones that already scaled |
| Koko, Meli, Juno, Linko, Suka | 2026-01 to 07 | 880k–1.52M, 7 days +55k to +190k | Same Indonesian individual-account approach, with 10× or more the budget |
| Xun, Xein, Rosip, Wavvo, Chu, Livtap, and others | 2026-07 to 09 | 40k–160k | Other shells on the same template |

Nobody is copying Geegoo; it's a copy itself. And a same-template Indonesian individual-account shell that launched half a year earlier has already reached the million level.

### If it were you

**Verdict:** Worth knowing about, but I wouldn't follow it. Geegoo has nothing product-level to learn from. It surfaces because of an off-the-shelf streamer backend, multi-account and multi-shell paid acquisition, and a low bar in Thailand's social chart. None of that is something an indie developer can copy, and several sibling shells have already reached the million level.

**Who it suits:** Teams already doing overseas social apps that have streamer supply or streamer agencies, payment channels, and paid acquisition in multiple countries. For you, this is a familiar playbook, and Geegoo is just another sample.

**Who it doesn't suit:** Solo developers or small teams without streamer supply, or anyone unwilling to deal with adult-adjacent content moderation and account-ban risk. The core asset of this business is streamers and ad spend, not the app. And the review "all pay, no play" shows the reputation was never part of the plan.

**How to do it (if you still want to):** Don't build your own backend. Off-the-shelf white-label backends are on the market. The real problems are where the streamers come from, how the per-minute split is set, and which payment channel handles top-ups. Pick a country where the social free chart is low-barrier and the top competitors haven't saturated it, and run one shell in only one or two countries.

**How to acquire users:** Paid acquisition only. First do the math: a few thousand installs a week gets you into the top 100 of the social free charts in Thailand, Turkey, and Saudi Arabia. Can the organic exposure from the chart bring down the cost of a first-time payer? If not, switch countries or shells.

**When to get in:** There's no clear window. This playbook has existed for years, and 2026 just brought a new batch of shells. The real variable is Google Play's cleanup of account-matrix and adult-oriented social apps. One enforcement round could wipe out a whole batch of same-template accounts.

**What would mean I got it wrong:** ① Geegoo starts updating its version, gets real reviews, and charts on a country's top-grossing social list, which would show that some shells in this batch can grow on their own and aren't just tests. ② Several of the 23 same-template shells keep growing steadily even when they're not buying ads, which would mean organic demand for the category is bigger than I've judged. ③ Conversely, if AndiWiji's accounts are all taken down before year-end, that would confirm this is a business that survives by swapping shells.

- Google Play install counts (through October and earlier are third-party estimates) and social free chart ranks (10-29 to 11-06).

- Same-template apps and developer accounts: privacy policy paths, package names, and listing dates on Google Play; AppBrain and CNET listing pages; the developer website andiwijiteam.com.

- X and TikTok searches for Geegoo / GooRose: no related content. Meta, Google, and TikTok ad libraries returned nothing for these packages, which doesn't mean they didn't advertise.

Competitors

| Name | Where | Launched | Scale | How it differs from this one |
|---|---|---|---|---|

Where users come from

- Inferred **Paid user acquisition / artificial boosting (channel unknown)** : 10-04~10-19 near-zero growth, then +10-20k in two weeks starting 15; 0 rating from 0 reviews, never updated; sibling Joofun went from about 11-01 to 03 over 480–9,545 and charted in Saudi, India, and Malaysia. Looks like shells being pushed country by country (app_snap / app_day_ext / chart_rank)

- **Confirmed** **Clone matrix / reskins (same developer)** : AndiWiji's portfolio includes GooRose (com.joylink.joy), Rion, Wanya, Geegoo, Joofun, and Wifun; all privacy policies sit on cosmopolitan.joylink.pro, with the same Gmail support address. GooRose's update notes call itself JoyLink v1.0.8 (store page / AppBrain / CNET)

- **Confirmed** **Cross-account white-label template** : the database has 23 apps across 13 developer accounts using the same <name>-about/PrivacyPolicy.html path and odd "adjective subdomain.weird-domain" pattern, plus random three-part package names, mostly published 2026-07-08 to 09-21 (googleplay app table)

- **Confirmed** **Individual developer account + localized facade** : the website andiwijiteam.com calls AndiWiji an Indonesian individual studio founded in 2016, with 100% Indonesian users, yet Geegoo has never charted in Indonesia. Account holder Ismuhadi, Jember, East Java

- **Confirmed** **Low-bar chart exposure** : Thailand Social Top Free #65 Emily had only 5,336 installs, and #89 Marla only 10,187 (chart_rank 11-06)

- Inferred **TikTok / X / media / creators** : x-radar shows 90 posts in 0 days, TikHub finds no related videos, and no press coverage. metaads, googleads, and tiktokads have no records (not tracked doesn't mean not advertised)

## Why Geegoo (spark.welo.call) showed up

> Channel: Google Play. Research date: 2026-11-06. Sources: googleplay database (app / app_snap / app_day_ext / chart_rank), Google Play store pages, AppBrain / CNET / Softonic listing pages (via Jina search), developer website andiwijiteam.com, x-radar, TikHub, metaads / googleads / tiktokads databases.

### Bottom line

Geegoo didn't really "break out." It's a new skin on a ready-made 1v1 paid host video chat backend, under an Indonesian individual developer account (AndiWiji, account holder Ismuhadi, Jember, East Java). Around Oct 20 a paid push started, and Thailand's Social Top Free bar is low, so 10k-plus installs got it to #59–#73. The real takeaway isn't this one app but the template ecosystem behind it: the database shows 13 developer accounts and 23 same-template apps, mostly published in a concentrated wave in 2026 7–September.

### What it is

- The store description says "a relaxed live social space, video call to meet new friends," but the update notes for version 1.0.0 are blunt: "Browse streamer details / Chat with streamers / Interact and video call with streamers." So it's really **host-to-1v1 paid video chat** , not stranger random matching (Play store page, scraped 2026-11-06).

- Rated Mature 17+, in-app purchases $0.99–$99.99 tier (googleplay app_snap).

- Published 2026-08-31, still on v1.0.0 with no updates, 0 rating from 0 reviews (app_snap 10-29~11-06).

- Privacy policy: `cosmopolitan.joylink.pro/Geegoo-about/PrivacyPolicy.html`, operator listed as "AndiWiji Studios."

### Growth data

| Date | Total installs | Source |
|---|---|---|
| 09-27 | 2,732 | app_day_ext (AppstoreSpy estimate) |
| 10-01 | 3,875 | Same as above |
| 10-04 ~ 10-19 | 3,902 → 3,939 (basically stalled) | Same as above |
| 10-26 | 10,026 | Same as above |
| 10-30 / 10-31 | 13,035 | Same as above / app_snap |
| 11-03 | 18,361 | app_snap |
| 11-06 | 19,310 | app_snap |

- The curve is two-stage: it climbed to about 3,900 within a month, then stalled for nearly three weeks; **around 10-20 it suddenly restarted** , adding about 15k in two-plus weeks, 7 days +9,274 (app_profile).

- Store install counts refresh in batches (the days with 0 zero increments are Play not refreshing, not zero people installing), so single-day numbers aren't reliable. Only look at the trend.

- Charts (chart_rank): Thailand Social Top Free 10-29/10-30 #59, then slid to 11-03 #173,11-06 before returning to #73; same day it also hit Turkey #142, Malaysia #161, Saudi Arabia #173, and the Philippines reached #189–#198 on 10-30/31. Never charted in any grossing chart.

- Chart bar: on the same day, Thailand Social Top Free #65 Emily had only 5,336 cumulative installs, and #89 Marla had 10,187 (chart_rank 11-06). A few thousand new installs a week is enough to reach the top 100.

### Competitors

Doing the same thing (host 1v1 paid video / random video chat). Scale numbers come from the googleplay database around 2026-11-06:

| Product | Platform | Launched | Scale | How it differs from Geegoo |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Chamet | Android | 2019 | 78.4M installs, #4 on the UAE Top Grossing overall chart | Top brand, with live streaming, party rooms, and 1v1, operating across many countries |
| Azar | Android | 2013 | 293M installs | Match Group's licensed random video chat |
| OmeTV | Android | 2015 | 254M installs, 7 days +968k; Thailand Social Top Free #11 | Mostly free random matching |
| Tango / Bigo Live / MICO / Poppo | Android | 2010–2022 | Tens of millions up to 800M installs | Live-streaming tipping platform, several orders of magnitude bigger |
| Tina Live, Chatta, Tigo, Dico, WeLive, Chato, and others | Android | 2021–2025 | 5M–37M installs, all in Thailand's Social Top Free 100 | Older clones that already scaled |
| Koko (Nikmatul Global), Meli (Arya Wiradiguna), Juno (SINTA ANUGRAH AINI), Linko (Ratna Dhita), Suka (M Yasin) | Android | 2026-01 to 2026-07 | 880k–1.52M installs, 7 days +55k to +190k | **Same Indonesian individual developer account pattern** , a scaled-up version of the same playbook, with budgets 10x or more |
| Same template matrix (see below): Xun, Xein, Rosip, Wavvo, Chu, Livtap, and others | Android | 2026-07 to 09 | 40k–160k installs | Same privacy policy template and random three-part package names, likely the same white-label supplier |
| GooRose (formerly Mivu, com.joylink.joy, same developer) | Android | No later than 2025-12 (earliest review 2025-12-25) | 100K+ downloads, 4.1 stars from 390 reviews | Older shell on the same account, already has paying users |

Bottom line: the category is crowded, and Geegoo can't break into the top ranks.

### Growth tactics (evidence)

1. **Paid acquisition / artificial boosting (inferred, ads not directly seen)** : installs near zero from 10-04~10-19, then about 10-20k added in two weeks starting 15; 0 rating, 0 reviews, never updated, no sign of organic growth. Sibling Joofun went from about 11-01 to 11-03 over 480–9,545, charting in Saudi Arabia, India, and Malaysia Social Top Free at the same time (app_snap / chart_rank). Several shells under one developer take turns being pushed, each in different countries (Geegoo in Thailand and Turkey, Joofun in Saudi Arabia, India, and Malaysia), which looks like one team testing shells in batches. metaads, googleads, and tiktokads have none of these packages (not tracked doesn't mean not advertised).

2. **Clone matrix / reskins** (confirmed): AndiWiji's portfolio includes GooRose (com.joylink.joy, 100K+), Rion (breeze.himy.link, 10K+), Wanya, Geegoo, Joofun (vivid.karsa.bloom), and Wifun (moor.rabbe.lane) (AppBrain / CNET listing pages + store pages). All privacy policies sit on cosmopolitan.joylink.pro, and all support emails are mayybermadete@gmail.com. GooRose's update notes call itself "JoyLink v1.0.8," so JoyLink is the internal product codename.

3. **Template reused across accounts** (confirmed): in the googleplay database, 23 apps use the privacy policy path `<name>-about/PrivacyPolicy.html`, spread across 13 developer accounts (Riloilfuzom LLC, VOIETRDD LLC, Wbelomt LLC, WestoDev, Bonroy Fang Trade Limited, Vertexis Group LLC, ALHAMBRAJEWEL LLC, Hitup Inc., and others), all published between 2026-07-08 and 09-21. Domains follow the "adjective subdomain + weird domain" style (utopian.slico.xyz, sylvan.vix.agency, regal.smoov.fun, aristocratic.sipme.uno, cultivated.acidamares.asia…), and package names are random three-part words (spark.hushlo.chat, aura.budi.talk, luna.winkio.meet). The biggest, Xun, has 161k installs and Xein 104k, and Xein also charted in India's Social grossing. This much consistency points to one white-label supplier or one publishing team mass-producing shells; even Geegoo's package spark.welo.call and Wbelomt LLC's spark.hushlo.chat share the same prefix.

4. **Individual developer account + localized facade** (confirmed): the developer website andiwijiteam.com describes AndiWiji as an Indonesian individual studio founded in 2016, making social products suited to Indonesian culture, with 100% Indonesian users. Yet Geegoo has never charted in Indonesia, only in Thailand, Turkey, Malaysia, Saudi Arabia, and the Philippines. GooRose's review replies use a standard customer service script ("contact our 24-hour online customer service within the app"). All of this is facade for app review.

5. **Content / social / media** : x-radar searched for Geegoo and GooRose found 90 posts in 0 days; TikHub searching "Geegoo app" found no related videos; no press coverage, only auto-generated listing pages on Softonic, CNET, APKPure, and AppBrain. No such channel was found.

### Why people stay and pay

- Money in this category comes from a small group of heavy spenders buying coins for per-minute calls and host videos. GooRose's reviews show the monetization and user complaints: "you have to recharge using USD," "everything is locked behind a paywall," "fake app all pay no play" (Play store reviews, 2025-12 to 2026-09).

- A third-party estimate cited in the recall card puts GooRose's October in-app revenue at about $1.0–48k/month. Not verified in this research.

- Geegoo has no reviews of its own and never charted in grossing, so whether it earns money or retains users can't be seen.

### Differentiation

No product-level differentiation. The copy, features, privacy policy, and dozens of similar shells all come from one template, and even the package names don't match the product names (spark.welo.call vs Geegoo). The "difference" is entirely operational: one backend running multiple developer accounts and multiple shells; each shell going after one or two low-barrier countries for chart placement; personal developer accounts to spread out ban risk. Geegoo surfaced because of these tactics plus a low entry bar on Thailand's Social Top Free chart, not because of differentiation.

### How many people have seen it

Nobody really knows about it yet: no public revenue, no press coverage, and X and TikTok discussion is 0. But this "1v1 live-streamer video chat + reskin matrix" global playbook has been crowded in the industry for a while. Koko, Meli, Juno and other same-format Indonesian personal-account shells have already reached the million-download level, and copycats are already bigger than it.

### What others can borrow

- Identification signals: new app + 0 rating + version 1.0.0 + $0.99–$99.99 in-app purchases + personal-name developer account + gmail support address + random three-segment package name + `<name>-about/PrivacyPolicy.html`. If several of these hit, it's basically a test shell from the 1v1 video matrix. You can use this privacy-policy path to batch-pull this kind of shell from the database (23 found this time).

- The playbook itself: a mature backend + white-label shells + multiple accounts rotating in volume. Pick countries like Thailand, Turkey, or Saudi Arabia where Social Top Free has a low bar; a few thousand to ten thousand paid installs can earn chart exposure, then see which shell pays back and whether to push harder.

- When reading the charts, first discount for the bar: Thailand's Social Top Free top 100 only needs a few thousand new installs a week.

### Still unclear

- Which channels the paid acquisition came from and how much was spent (none of the three ad libraries covered these packages).

- Actual revenue and retention; whether the streamers are real agency hosts, AI, or pre-recorded.

- Whether the 23 same-template apps come from the same publisher, or one white-label SaaS sold to different clients.

- Whether AndiWiji / Ismuhadi are the real operators or nominee accounts.

- The revenue estimate for GooRose in the recall card (not verified this time).
