A video chat app that hit 66K installs in two months is actually the fourth disguise of the same company

What it is A mobile app for one-on-one video chat with hosts, paid with coins. It is the fourth rebranded pack a going-global team shipped from the same backend.

Why it took off The product didn't take off. The team concentrated paid acquisition for two weeks in mid-to-late October, pulling about 50K installs, backed by a full five-star rating. Since spend stopped, it only gets a few hundred installs a day.

DHow you could follow it Not recommended. What's worth learning is its launch playbook: several packs off one backend to spread out the risk of bans, and new packs first pad their ratings before concentrated spend, surfacing first in countries like Turkey and Malaysia where social chart bars are lower.

Grade D: the traction came from the team's existing backend, host supply and ad budget, which followers can't replicate; the category is extremely crowded, with about 60 comparable apps on the Turkey social chart alone, and most new sister packs this year are ten times bigger. Few people know about it yet

Livtap has a perfect five-star rating on Google Play, 66K installs in two months, and at the end of October it was charting on social charts in 11 countries at once. Yet its product is no different from dozens of similar apps, and nobody online is talking about it. It surfaced because of an old playbook from a going-global team: the same backend under a new name, concentrated spend for a few days, and the five-star rating padded first. This piece lays out how the playbook runs, where the money comes from, and why it's worth understanding but not worth copying.

A review with just three words

In 2026 October 13, a user named myo aung tun (judging by the name, Burmese) left a review on Livtap's store page, the entire text of which was "app unlock screen." The next day the developer replied: "Dear user, thank you for your support." The next few reviews were "that good" (10-24, user Hamid Bhai) and "not bad" (10-20), and the developer replied to each with the same line, "Thank you for your support." (Google Play listing, 11-06).

Every one of the 295 ratings on the page is five stars, with none at one to four stars: 0 from October 29 through November 6, every day like that (Google Play rating distribution, 11-06). Real users don't produce a distribution like that.

What it actually is

The store description is clean: browse others' profiles, message and voice chat, video chat, random matching, auto-translation. What's actually explained is the 1.0.0 version's update note:

Browse streamer details / Chat with streamers / Interact and video call with streamers

In other words, the people you video-chat with are hosts, not random strangers. This is the business model of Chamet, LivU, and MuMu, which is "host 1v1 companionship, deducted by the minute in coins." In-app purchases run from $0.99 to $99.99 per item, and what's bought is coins. In two months there has been only the 1.0.0 version, never updated. The data safety section reads "data not encrypted" and "device IDs shared with third parties."

Who is behind it: one company, four packs

The developer is VOIETRDD LLC. Its website voietrddllc.com has only a few images (Home / Company Milestones / Social Responsibility), a copyright dated 2024, and no product information at all: a US company shell built for publishing apps. Cross-checking the developer email (a personal gmail) and the privacy-policy domain (all under api-h5.xdame.one) turns up 4 Google Play apps from the same source:

The older pack Gosyn has already reached 1.16M installs, and the other three shipped back-to-back within two months, with randomly assembled English package names (vivid.crew.live, swoon.tabli.spark, com.aleron.app). This is the standard playbook of going-global 1v1 teams (inferred): one backend, one pool of hosts, several sister packs facing the public. When one pack is taken down by Google or acquisition costs rise, they switch to the next new pack and keep spending; each new pack also gets its own cold-start traffic wave.

Why these two months: a curve bought in batches

Livtap was nearly silent for the first three weeks after launch: cumulative September 30 installs only 208, October 5 413 installs (AppstoreSpy estimates). It then climbed in steps:

  • From 10-12 to 5,363,10-14, up four to five thousand a day, past 10K;
  • 10-22 and 10-23, two days combined about +18K;
  • From 10-27 to 54K, 10-31 single-day +7,089,11-03 +3,884;
  • 11-05 only +410,11-06 +582 (Google Play install count, 11-06).

Zero growth for three weeks, then tens of thousands of installs in a few days, and it drops the moment the spend stops. That's the shape of a batch buy, not word of mouth. In Oct 29 it showed up in the Social Top Free charts of 11 stores at once: Turkey, Malaysia, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, the Philippines, France, Spain, Mexico, Italy, Poland and Argentina, ranking 99–192. It even charted once on India's Social Top Grossing (#189). From Oct 30 only Turkey was left, and in Nov 6 it sat at #169 on Turkey's Social Top Free. It didn't just target Turkey. It ran a global push, and now only Turkey's chart is weak enough to still hold it.

At the same time, sister pack Chu gained 23K in the last 7 days, twice Livtap's rate. The budget may have already shifted (inferred).

The usual playbook in this category is to run suggestive creatives aimed at male users in India, the Middle East, Southeast Asia, Turkey, and Latin America; users come in and video-chat with hosts, paying by the minute in coins, with a small number of big payers covering the cost. The countries where Livtap charted are exactly these markets.

The only proof of money: Livtap hit #189 on the India social Top Grossing chart, for one day. Someone is paying, but volume is tiny, so revenue can't be estimated.

Who it's competing with

Almost everyone is chasing this. In Nov 6, about 60 of the top 90 free Social apps in Turkey had video chat or random matching in their title or description (Google Play charts, 11-06):

  • The leaders: Chamet (78.4M installs, #2 on social Top Grossing in Saudi Arabia and Malaysia), LivU (70.2M installs, #5 on Turkey social Top Grossing), Tango, Bigo Live;
  • In India: MuMu, Joychat, Lumi, all in the top 30 of social Top Grossing;
  • Stranger random video: OmeTV (250M installs, #8 on Turkey social Top Free), Azar, Monkey;
  • New clones this year: Vibra Live (1.31M), Suka (1.43M), Linko (1.11M), Cici (1.05M), most of them an order of magnitude bigger than Livtap;
  • Even TikTok built one: Whee (8.25M installs, #14 in Turkey).

Livtap has no product difference from them that I can see. It isn't the one being copied. It's a smaller member of the copycat pack itself.

If it were you

D: Knowing the playbook is enough. Don't copy it. It took off because this team already had the backend, the streamers and the ad budget. A new name lets them ship a new app, but someone starting from zero doesn't have those. Turkey alone has about 60 similar apps on one chart, and most of this year's new clones are already ten times bigger.

Who it fits: teams already running overseas social apps, with streamer agencies and payment channels in hand. For them there's nothing new here, just a sample of a competitor's playbook.

Who it doesn't fit: indie developers and small teams. The product itself has zero barrier. The barriers sit outside it: streamer supply, content moderation, Google policy risk (these apps get banned in waves), and enough paid acquisition budget to survive several rounds of trial and error.

What you can learn:

  • One backend running several apps, with different company shells and random package names to spread the risk of bans;
  • New app goes up with its ratings seeded first, then gets a concentrated burst of installs over a few days. Look at the 7-day payback to decide whether to keep spending or swap the app;
  • Pick countries where the social chart bar is low (Turkey, Malaysia, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, where a few hundred to a few thousand installs a day gets you into the 100–200 range) so the new app gets seen.

These lessons carry over to other categories. If you're building a utility app that needs paid acquisition to cold start, "one backend, many apps, surface in low-bar countries first" is worth writing down.

Signals you might misread: ① If Livtap pulls another step up before end of November, passes 150k in total, or stays on any country's social Top Grossing chart for long, that means this one app pays for itself on its own, which is better than it looks. ② If a new app appears in this streamer-chat category with no big team behind it, growing organically from TikTok content, that means distribution doesn't have to come from paid ads, and a small team has a shot.

Why Livtap (vivid.crew.live) got traction

Channel: Google Play / developer VOIETRDD LLC / store launch 2026-09-08 / research day 2026-11-06

One line

Livtap is a "streamer 1v1 paid video chat" app: users browse streamer profiles, send messages, start video calls, and it earns from coin sales (in-app purchases from $0.99 to $99.99). It's not something new that the product brought in on its own. It's the #4 reskin from the same overseas team (package and privacy pages both sit under xdame.one). After launch, several rounds of concentrated paid installs pushed it to 66k, and it has clearly slowed over the last week.

1. What it is

  • The store listing reads clean: browse profiles, chat, video, random matching, translation. But the update notes in 1.0.0 give it away: "Browse streamer details / Chat with streamers / Interact and video call with streamers". Users video with streamers, not strangers. This is the "female streamer companion + per-minute coin charge" model used by Chamet, LivU, MuMu, Joychat. (Google Play listing page, read via jina 2026-11-06)
  • In-app purchases $0.99–$99.99 per item (googleplay library app_snap). Data safety says data is not encrypted and device IDs are shared with third parties.
  • Only one version, 1.0.0, with no updates in two months since launch (app_snap every day, version=1.0.0).

2. The same family of apps (the most important background)

In the googleplay library, the developer email is always [email protected] and the privacy policies are all under api-h5.xdame.one, across 4 apps (googleplay library app / app_profile, 2026-11-06):

AppBundle IDLaunchedTotal installspast 7 days

Coofunswoon.tabli.spark2026-09-2026,938Less than 7 days in the window
  • Gosyn's old name "Xdame - Match&Video Chat" shows up on updatestar and aptoide (xdame.en.aptoide.com), so xdame is this team's real name and backend. AppBrain says VOIETRDD LLC has been active for 2025 years, with 5 apps and about 1M installs (Jina search snippet). The 5rd one (the Lunault AI chat app mentioned in the recall card) isn't in our library and is unverified.
  • The official site voietrddllc.com has only a few images under "HOME / Company milestone / Social responsibility", Copyright 2024, and no product info (read via jina). That's a typical US LLC shell for publishing. A personal gmail as the developer email, random English-word package names (vivid.crew.live, swoon.tabli.spark, com.aleron.app), and privacy pages on the same H5 domain are the standard playbook of an overseas 1v1 team from China: one backend, many clone apps. When one app gets banned by Google or ad costs rise, swap in a new app and keep spending.
  • Cadence: Gosyn 2025-04 → Chu 2026-07 → Livtap 2026-09-08 → Coofun 2026-09-20, with 3 apps released in the last 2 months.

3. Growth data

  • Cumulative global installs 66,248, +11,965 over the last 7 days (googleplay library app_profile, 2026-11-06).
  • The curve since launch (googleplay library app_day_ext, AppstoreSpy estimate): 9-30 was only 208 installs, then 10-05 413 installs. After that come step jumps: from 10-12 to 5,363,10-14 roughly +4,700 to 10k a day, 10-18/20 about one to two thousand each, 10-22 and 10-23 together about +18k over two days, 10-25 up to 47k, 10-27 up to 54k.
  • Our own sampling (app_day): 10-31 +7,089, 11-03 +3,884, then 11-05 +410, 11-06 +582/day. Clearly slowing recently.
  • Almost zero growth for the first three weeks after launch, then tens of thousands in a few days, and it drops as soon as spend stops. That's the shape of paid batches, not word of mouth.
  • Charts: 10-29 appeared at once on social Top Free charts in 11 stores (tr/my/sa/za/ph/fr/es/mx/it/pl/ar), ranking 99–192, plus #189 on India social Top Grossing (googleplay library chart_rank). From 10-30 only Turkey was left, and 11-06 is #169 on Turkey social Top Free. The recall card's claim that it's "only in one market, Turkey" is wrong. It's a global spread (reviews include users from Myanmar and South Asian names like "Hamid Bhai"). Only Turkey's social chart is still low-bar enough to show it right now.
  • It appeared at #189 on India social Top Grossing for just one day. That shows some real payment, but at a very small scale.

4. Ratings: clearly incentivized or fake

  • 295 ratings, histogram [0,0,0,0,295], 100% five stars (googleplay library app_snap; every day from 10-29 to 11-06 was all five stars). Ratings per install = 0.45%.
  • The store page shows reviews that are short phrases like "app unlock screen.", "that good", "not bad", and the developer replies to all of them with "Thank you for your support." (Play listing)
  • Compared with the same developer's older app: Gosyn 5,061 rating [545,0,148,396,3944], Chu 609 rating [38,0,0,76,494] — 2 stars are all 0, which is also an unnatural distribution. The playbook here: start new apps with five-star ratings to prop up the score, so the landing-page conversion for paid traffic looks good.

5. Where users come from

The standard playbook for the 1v1 video chat category is to buy male users in India, the Middle East, Southeast Asia, Turkey, and Latin America with adult or suggestive creatives (mainly through Google UAC, Facebook hidden-placement buys, and programmatic networks like Unity and Mintegral), then monetize through per-minute coin purchases for chatting with hosts. Livtap's chart distribution (top grossing in India, Saudi Arabia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Turkey, and Latin America) fits this geographic mix exactly.

6. Competitors

In the same chart (Turkey social free chart, 2026-11-06, googleplay library v_chart), about 60 of the top 90 have video chat or random matching in their title or description. The main players:

  • Chamet (Chamet Team, 202B installs): the top of host video in the Middle East and Southeast Asia social top-grossing chart, ranked #2,1 in 1.
  • LivU (LIVU Team, 70.2M installs): ranked #5 in Turkey's social top grossing.
  • Tango / Bigo Live / Poppo Live: live streaming plus 1v1 video, hundreds of millions of installs.
  • MuMu / MuLive, Joychat, Lumi, Who: Top 30 grossing social apps in India, the 1v1 video format (millions to 60M installs).
  • OmeTV, Omega, Camsea, Monkey, Azar: stranger random video (OmeTV 250M installs, #8 in Turkey's social free chart).
  • Same-period new apps: WhoNow (2026-3.23M installs), Linko (2026-61.1M), Govvi (2026-4.25M), JoyU (2026-2.15M), Xun (2026-7.16M), Vibra Live (2026-71.3M), Cici (2026-81M), Suka (2026-71.4M). All are same-category clones launched this year, and most are an order of magnitude bigger than Livtap.
  • Big-company feature: TikTok's Whee (2026-48.2M installs, #14 in Turkey).

Livtap and these apps have no visible product difference: the same host profile pages, messaging, video calls, random matching, translation, and coins.

7. Verdict

Why it could take off

  1. The team already has a mature 1v1 backend and host supply: Gosyn has already reached 1.16M installs, and Livtap reuses the same backend (api-h5.xdame.one) as a new app, so development cost is close to zero.
  2. Concentrated buying: from 10-12 to 10-27, over two weeks, it added about 50k installs, and 10-22/23 alone brought in 18k over two days. That's a typical batch campaign; last week it dropped to a few hundred a day.
  3. Five stars as cover: 295 ratings with 100% five stars make the paid landing page convert better.
  4. Where the money comes from: hosts' 1v1 charges coins per minute (up to $99.99 per app), with whales paying. It hit #189 once on India's social top-grossing chart, so there is revenue, but not much.

Differentiation

No. Its "difference" is only that the package name, icon, and title differ. That is the strategy itself: spread out ban risk, give each app its own round of Google's new-app traffic boost and paid cold start, and test creatives across markets. The reason it runs is distribution (a portfolio plus paid acquisition), not the product.

How visible it is

Nobody is talking about it: no media, no X, no TikTok content, the developer site is an empty shell, and revenue is not disclosed. But the category itself is extremely crowded. The Turkey social free chart alone has about 60 similar apps, and most of this year's new clones are bigger. So "nobody knows about it" here doesn't mean an opportunity. It's because the app is small and ordinary.

Takeaways

  • A portfolio structure, with one backend, many random package names, a US LLC shell, and a personal email, lowers the ban risk for any single app.
  • New apps cold-start by filling the rating with five stars, then concentrating spend over a few days, and decide after 7 days of retention and payment whether to keep spending or switch apps.
  • Pick countries with low chart thresholds (Turkey, Malaysia, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, etc.), where ranks 100–200 on social charts need only a few hundred to a few thousand installs a day to get visibility.

Still unsure

  • Specific ad channels and creatives (not in the Meta library, and the TikTok ad library only covers Europe), unverified.
  • Actual revenue: only one ranking, #189 on India's social top-grossing chart, so no estimate is possible.
  • Whether the No. 5 app (Lunault) and the Veyora Labs "XVXX" series in the recall card are the same team is unverified.
  • Whether the recent slowdown is from paused spend, a shift to Coofun/Chu, or Google throttling is unknown. Chu added +23k over the last 7 days, so resources may have moved to Chu.
