Finished episode 29 on YouTube, where to keep listening: the paid funnel of a Vietnamese audiobook app

What it is A Vietnamese audio novel site, tfullaudio.net, now with a mobile app: AI-voiced Chinese web novels from YouTube narrators, unlocked with virtual coins, memberships per narrator, and tips for narrators.

Why it took off It didn't really "take off": a dozen YouTube audio channels with 2–50k subscribers sent their listeners over, and when the site changed domains, old paying users moved into the app wholesale. The Vietnamese book charts have a low bar, so a hundred or two installs a day is enough to chart.

CHow you could play it Don't copy the app. If you can sign a batch of YouTube/TikTok channels that run long serialized stories, build a site in another market where YouTube gives the first half free and your own site sells the second half: revenue split per narrator, local QR-code payments. Launch an app only once you have paying members to retain.

Grade C: the volume comes from an existing narrator network and old paying users, which followers can't get. Revenue isn't visible, and the content is unlicensed web novels with AI voices, a template someone has already copied in Vietnam. The funnel is worth studying; copying it directly isn't worth it. Few people know about it yet

Truyện Audio Full sat on the free Books & Reference chart on Google Play in Vietnam for weeks, with 13.5k installs in three months since listing. It didn't grow on the store by itself. It's an audio novel site that had been running for over half a year, and it shipped an app on its third domain change. Its users came in waves from a dozen YouTube audio story channels. What's worth learning is the funnel: YouTube gives the first half free, and your own site sells the second half. The app itself isn't the lesson.

One comment

On Apr 2026 27, a user named hacuong left a comment under a novel page on tfullaudio.net: "Watched episode 29 on YouTube, where do I pick up listening from here, admin?"

The novel is "Transmigrated into Chaos, the Farm Girl Is Forced to Marry a Cold-Faced Soldier," 48 episodes long, set in the 1970s, with rebirth, face-slapping revenge, and a spatial pocket dimension. It's the kind of Chinese web novel adaptation that's been the biggest in Vietnam for the past two years. The page shows 19,127 listens and 24 comments. The replies aren't from customer support. They come from the narrators themselves, from several YouTube audio channels: Lão Lăng (53k subscribers) writes "I'll check and update," and Xoài Chua Story (21.9k subscribers) tells people who can't listen to "add the Zalo number on screen to contact support."

That sentence explains the whole business. YouTube gives away the first twenty or thirty episodes, listeners get hooked and want to know what happens next, and they're sent to the site. The later chapters are unlocked with in-site coins. Later, on Nov 2, someone on the same page complained that in episode 9 the couple address each other as "mày / tao" (roughly "you punk / me"), which "breaks the immersion," and the translation and forms of address have plenty of problems. But the last line was "Thanks to the team for this audio, it's gripping."

What it actually is

It's a WordPress audio novel site with a wrapped mobile app. The homepage sorts by genre: 586 ancient-setting titles, 552 system titles, 239 superpower titles... (tfullaudio.net, 11-06). Content is organized by "author," and those authors are really YouTube channels: Lão Lăng has 156 titles, Uyển Linh 124, Mẩy Linh Review 143. The cover image filenames still contain YouTube thumbnail strings like maxresdefault, the channel handle is @laolangai, and the videos are tagged #truyenai. Most are AI-voiced.

The app itself is nothing special: background playback, 15-second skip, playback speed, offline downloads, sleep timer, the standard set for this kind of app. On Google Play the developer is SSocial; the iOS seller is SSOCIAL JOINT STOCK COMPANY. It ships on Android 08-09 and iOS 08-16. On the iOS Vietnam store it has 33 ratings averaging 4.91 stars; on Google Play it has no ratings at all (11-06).

Where the traffic comes from: the narrators' own channels

The timeline is clear, and it all shows up in the channels' community posts:

  • In 2026 January, the site was already running as truyenfullaudio.net (the earliest comment on the novel above is from Jan 29);
  • On 07-24, every channel posted the same notice: "moving to truyenfullaudio.io";
  • On 08-09, another "BIG UPDATE" post: moving to tfullaudio.net, with the app on Google Play at the same time, accounts, coins, and memberships all carried over, and downtime compensated;
  • On 08-28, the App Store link was added.

The app's install curve matches this timeline. A third-party estimate puts 08-15 at about 750 installs, 08-31 at about 4,300,09-30, and 8,200,11-06 at 13,529 (Google Play installs). The early spike was old site paying users moving over. After that, a steady one or two hundred new installs a day came in: August averaged about 240 a day, and October dropped to about 130 a day. There's no paid-acquisition shape of a sharp rise and fall, and I haven't seen it advertising on Meta or Google (whether there was small-scale spending is unverified).

Two smaller streams: first, the site has turned off text reading. The page says "Text reading on the site is temporarily disabled; download the TFullAudio app to read," pushing web users into the app. Second, a layer of backlinks typical of Vietnamese site operators: searching its name turns up piles of Spotify and Deezer podcast pages, Google Docs, and about.me profiles, all with copy like "TFullAudio is a treasure trove of audio novels..."

As for "charting": the bar on the Vietnamese free Books chart is low. 11-06 at the same rank 16 had only 2,042 total installs, and rank 20 was 1,959. A hundred or two installs a day is enough to hold rank 15–19. Charting doesn't mean it broke out.

Where the money comes from: cultivation coins, narrator memberships, whale rankings

The site has one currency, Linh Thạch ("spirit stones"), which "never expires." 1,000 spirit stones cost 100k Vietnamese dong (about $4), with tiers at 150k, 250k, 500k, and 1M dong; the first top-up includes 500 bonus, and the maximum bonus is 50% (top-up page on tfullaudio.net, 11-06).

Spirit stones can be spent three ways:

UseHow it works
Unlock VIP chaptersDeducted per chapter; there's an "unlock schedule" beside the chapter list, visible only when logged in (inferred: chapters become free after a wait, and paying buys early listening)
Narrator membershipsPick one or more narrators; 1 / 3 / 6 / 12 months = 700 / 1,500 / 3,000 / 6,000 spirit stones, for early access to new content
Tips and rankingsSend roses, shooting stars, gift boxes, or straight cash; how much you top up sets your place and avatar frame on the "Đại Gia (Whale)" board

The key is the payment method: the site takes VietQR bank transfers via QR code in Vietnam, not store billing. On Jul 7, a commenter said they couldn't buy stones because the transfer wouldn't go through. Narrator Mẩy Linh Review replied: "There was a problem with the Techcombank account; scan with a different account." So the $2.69–$304.99 in-app purchase range on Google Play is basically decorative. It has no grossing rank, and its revenue doesn't show in store data.

All you can see is member counts. On the narrator pages, the top few each have 130–190 members (Lão Lăng 188, Uyển Linh 179, Mẩy Linh Review 173), and the top six add up to about 940. Membership length, price, and whether one person holds several memberships are all invisible, so revenue can't be estimated with confidence. Roughly, using the cheapest monthly plan (700 stones, about $2.7), this part is in the several-thousand-dollars-a-month range, with low confidence. Tips and single-chapter unlocks come on top.

There's an off-store layer too: a "Earn money with TFullAudio" referral program that encourages listeners to put referral links in their TikTok / Facebook bios and post them in fan groups, with commission paid when a referred person tops up.

One more thing on the last line. truyenfullaudio.com and its app "Truyện Audio Hay" have switched their currency to Linh Ngọc ("Spirit Jade"), but the first-top-up bonus of 500, the top bonus of 50%, the affection leaderboard, and the honored-member page are all identical. The app description is nearly word-for-word the same, even down to the old brand name. The parked old domain only tells users to "contact the admin on Zalo to move to the new home" and never says which home that is. Whether this is a team split, a partnership, or someone grabbing the old brand is impossible to tell from the outside.

The real rivals are YouTube and TikTok themselves. On TikTok, "truyện audio full" is a huge free category, with single posts drawing 100k to 1.7M views (TikTok search, 11-06). What it does is capture the people most eager to keep up from that free traffic and put them behind a paywall.

Why it has volume

In one sentence: the traffic belongs to its own narrators, and the app is a by-product of the move.

A dozen channels with 20k to 50k subscribers, each with over a hundred AI-voiced web novels, offer free previews on YouTube. The site gives each narrator an author page, memberships, and tips, so narrators have a reason to put links under every video. In practical terms, the app protects against domain changes: the site changed domains three times in a year (inferred: related to copyright complaints or search demotion, unverified), and an app on someone's phone doesn't care about the address.

This also shows the part you can't replicate: its 13.5k installs rest on an existing narrator network and a set of old paying users, and followers can't get either.

If it were you

C has things to learn, but copying it isn't worth it. This app's volume comes from a narrator network that followers don't have. Revenue isn't visible, the content is unlicensed Chinese web novels with AI voices, and the same template has already been copied in Vietnam. What's worth taking is the funnel itself.

Who it suits: people who already have, or can sign, a batch of YouTube / TikTok channels running long serialized content. Audio stories, AI-voiced novels, radio dramas, and long-form commentary all count. It helps to know a Southeast Asian market outside Vietnam that also loves Chinese web novel adaptations (Indonesia, Thailand, and the Philippines are unverified; first count how many audio story channels with 10k+ subscribers exist on YouTube there).

Who it doesn't suit: anyone who wants to build an audio novel app on organic Google Play traffic (a free read-and-listen app like TYT adds 7,700 a week, and you can't outpace that); people with no narrator relationships who only know how to code; and anyone sensitive to copyright risk. This business's content sourcing wouldn't survive one large-scale complaint.

How to do it: start with a site, not an app. Give each partner narrator an author page, with monthly memberships and a tip leaderboard. YouTube gives the first twenty or thirty episodes, and the rest is locked on your site. Take payments through local QR bank transfers or e-wallets to avoid store commissions. Once narrators have a few hundred paying members, launch an app as a retention container, and push people into it with "text reading only in the app" and "offline downloads." Use content you're licensed to use, or write and generate it yourself.

How to get users: it's not you acquiring users, it's the narrators. What you're negotiating is the revenue split: most of the membership and tip revenue goes to the narrators, so they add links in every video's description, pinned comment, and community post. Add a referral commission for listeners so fan groups bring people in for you.

When to move: no time window is forcing you, but the same template is already being copied in Vietnam. If you're entering another market, the sooner you sign the top narrators, the better. Once a narrator signs with another site, they're hard to win back.

What would mean you read it wrong: ① if Vietnam's daily installs keep falling from 130 to a few dozen, the narrator funnel has peaked, and the market only has so many people; ② if the truyenfullaudio.com copy catches up on installs within a month or two, the value is in the template, not the narrators, anyone can build it, and so no one profits much; ③ if the site changes domains again or the narrators' channels get widely taken down, the copyright risk has arrived; ④ conversely, if you see a batch of audio story channels in Indonesia or Thailand start routing to one site together, someone has already made this work there: either go after the narrators who haven't signed yet, or stay away.

Where users come from
  • Verified YouTube narrator affiliate funnel: channels like Lão Lăng (53k subs), Hũ Muối Audio (25.7k), Xoài Chua Story (21.9k), and Tiểu Tịch Dao (20.8k) act as on-site 'authors'. Community posts announce the site move and App download (2026-07-24, 08-09, 08-28), and videos carry #tfullaudio. Site comments include people asking where to keep listening after the YouTube episode P29.
  • Verified Existing-user migration: 2026-08-09 announcement says the site moved to tfullaudio.net, with accounts, Linh Thạch and memberships all carried over, and the App also went live on Google Play. The old domains truyenfullaudio.net/.io redirect to an about.me page announcing the shutdown.
  • Verified Bulk SEO backlinks: lots of 'TruyenFullAudio.net / TFullAudio là kho truyện audio…' copy on Spotify/Deezer/Podnews/Podstatus podcast pages, Google Docs, nicepage, and CRC Network profile pages.
  • Verified Affiliate payouts and communities: the site's 'Kiếm tiền cùng TFullAudio' affiliate program encourages putting referral links in TikTok/Facebook bios and in reader groups. Facebook page and groups, plus Zalo groups.
  • Inferred Paid ads: no matching advertisers in the metaads / googleads libraries (they only track a fixed list of products), and the install curve shows no paid-acquisition spikes.

One line

This isn't a new product. It's a Vietnamese 'audio novel site + YouTube narrator affiliate network' that shipped an App during its third domain move. The site has been running since before 2026 January (first as truyenfullaudio.net, then truyenfullaudio.io in 2026-07-24, then tfullaudio.net in 2026-08-09 with this Android App released at the same time, and iOS in 08-28). Users are older listeners sent over by YouTube audio-story channels (Lão Lăng 53k subs, Hũ Muối Audio 25.7k, Xoài Chua Story 21.9k, Tiểu Tịch Dao 20.8k, and more). YouTube posts the first few dozen episodes free, and later chapters are locked on the site or in the App, unlocked with the virtual currency Linh Thạch. The App steadily gains 120–250 installs a day, which is the output of this funnel. The Vietnam Books & Reference free chart is an easy bar to clear: #19 there takes only 16 total installs at #2,042, so charting doesn't prove it has truly broken out.

1. Who they are

  • Store name Truyện Audio Full. Play developer SSocial (iOS seller SSOCIAL JOINT STOCK COMPANY), developer website tfullaudio.net, email [email protected] [googleplay library app table; iTunes lookup id6791882320]. Recalled notes: the Play developer name was later changed to TFullAudio.
  • First published on Play 2026-08-09, current version 1.0.35. In-app purchases $2.69–$304.99 each. No ratings [googleplay library app_snap 2026-10-29~11-06]. Released on iOS 2026-08-16: 33 ratings in the Vietnam store, average 4.91, category Book [iTunes lookup vn 2026-11-06].
  • The site tfullaudio.net is a WordPress site (wp-content, wp-login). Audio streams from a third-party domain, stream.stoolss.org. The site shows a DMCA badge [tfullaudio.net page text].
  • Content is organized by 'author', which are really YouTube audio narrator channels. Each of the top dozen-plus authors has 116–158 works and 26–188 paid 'members': Lão Lăng 156 works / 188 members, Uyển Linh 124 / 179, Mẩy Linh Review 143 / 173, Cún Rù Review 129 / 136, Tiểu Tịch Dao 140 / 135, Mây Mây Story 140 / 133 [tfullaudio.net/danh-sach-tac-gia]. Topics are the currently hot Vietnamese adaptations of Chinese web novels: transmigration, rebirth, 1970s–80s period dramas, system stories, and face-slapping revenge plots. Cover image filenames are still YouTube thumbnails (..._maxresdefault_...jpeg). Narrator channels carry the #truyenai tag and the channel name @laolangai, and most audio is AI-voiced [tfullaudio.net homepage and story pages; YouTube].
  • Monetization (all from site pages):
    • Virtual currency Linh Thạch: 1,000 coins = 100k VND (about $4). 1,650 = 150k, 3,000 = 250k, 6,500 = 500k, 14,000 = 1M, with larger tiers beyond that. First top-up gets 500 bonus coins, with up to 50% extra. The site takes top-ups by VietQR bank transfer and e-wallet QR codes, bypassing store commissions [tfullaudio.net top-up dialog].
    • Uses: unlock VIP chapters; buy memberships per author (single author / several authors / whole site, priced by duration; recall card notes 1/3/6/December = 700/1500/3000/6000 coins); tip narrators with gifts (roses, shooting stars, gift boxes, or direct cash, minimum 10k VND), with gifts counting toward a 'favorability' ranking. There's also a 'Đại Gia (Tycoon)' top-up leaderboard and a 'Vinh Danh Member' honors page [tfullaudio.net/mua-linh-thach, author pages].
    • Affiliate: 'Kiếm tiền cùng TFullAudio' encourages posting referral links in TikTok/Facebook bios and in reader groups. Users earn a commission when their referrals top up (recall card notes 30% lifetime) [tfullaudio.net/chuong-trinh-affiliate].
    • The site's text-reading feature is turned off, with a prompt reading 'Download the TFullAudio App to read text'. The feature pushes web traffic into the App [story page text].

2. Growth data (googleplay library)

  • Cumulative installs 13,529 (11-06), +1,163 over 7 days. Charted in only one store, Vietnam, where it ranks #15–19 on the BOOKS_AND_REFERENCE free chart. Over the past week it slid from #15 to #19 [app_profile, chart_rank].
  • Install curve since launch (AppstoreSpy estimates, app_day_ext): 08-15 753 → 08-31 about 4,300 → 09-30 8,171 → 10-31 about 12,800 → 11-05 13,529. Daily adds mostly sit between 120 and 250, with a few small spikes: 08-16 (672, the day after the launch announcement), 08-27 (405, around the iOS launch announcement), 10-04 (504), and 10-08 (416). There's no 'big push then drop-off' shape typical of paid buys. It's a steady funnel curve that is slowly flattening (averaging about 240/day in August and about 130/day in October).
  • Chart bar: on the same day, #16 on the Vietnam Books free chart, vBook, had 2,042 cumulative installs; #20 Dịch Quán Truyện had 1,959; #27 Truyện Audio Hay had 1,583 [v_chart 2026-11-06]. So holding a spot on the chart only takes a couple hundred installs a day.
  • Ratings: zero on Play, 33 on iOS. No sign of fake five-star reviews.

3. Where users come from (growth tactics)

  1. YouTube narrator affiliate network (main channel, confirmed). The site's 'authors' are a group of Vietnamese YouTube audio-story channels: Lão Lăng (@laolangai, 53k subs, 1,900 videos), Hũ Muối Audio (25.7k subs, 900+ videos), Xoài Chua Story (21.9k), Tiểu Tịch Dao (@tichdaoreview, 20.8k, 1,300 videos), Tiểu Tiên Linh (7,140), Mây Mây Audio, and others. These channels post the same announcement in their community posts: 2026-07-24 'moved to truyenfullaudio.io', 2026-08-09 'BIG UPDATE, moved to tfullaudio.net, App now on Google Play', and 08-28 the same again with an App Store link (community posts from Hũ Muối Audio and another channel). Videos carry the #tfullaudio tag, and new-book announcements include 'LINK NGHE TRUYỆN: tfullaudio.net/...' and a Zalo group [YouTube posts Ugkx288e…, Ugkxp1dK…, UgkxmeW5…; Jina search].
  2. The paywall: the first half on YouTube, the second half sold on the site. Comments on the story pages include users asking where to resume after P29 on YouTube, and others say a particular episode won't open, with the narrator replying in the comments. This shows users are following along from YouTube and then moving to the site [story page comments, 2026-01~05].
  3. Existing-user migration (confirmed). The day the App launched was also the day the site made its second move. The announcement promised that 'accounts, Linh Thạch, and memberships all carry over' and compensated for downtime. First-week installs came from the old site's paying users, not new people [YouTube post 2026-08-09].
  4. Bulk SEO backlinks (confirmed in progress). Searching 'truyenfullaudio' turns up plenty of Spotify / Deezer / Podnews / Podstatus podcast pages, Google Docs, nicepage, about.me, and CRC Network profile pages, with copy like 'Tại TruyenFullAudio.net…' and 'TFullAudio là kho truyện audio…'. This is the entity/backlink volume SEO approach common among Vietnamese site operators [Jina search results].
  5. Affiliate payouts plus Facebook and Zalo groups: the site has an affiliate program, a Facebook page and groups, and several Zalo groups for customer support, top-up issues, and community management [site footer].
  6. No paid ads found: neither the metaads nor the googleads library shows an advertiser landing on tfullaudio or this package name. (Those libraries only track a fixed list of products, so that doesn't prove there's no spend.) On TikTok, 'truyện audio full' is a huge free-content category (single posts reaching 100k–1.7M views), but searching 'tfullaudio' turned up no account or creator of its own promoting it [TikHub 2026-11-06]. Zero mentions on X [x-radar].

5. Why it works (really: why it has steady traffic)

  • The traffic belongs to their own narrators: a dozen YouTube audio channels with 20k–50k subscribers funnel listeners into the site, and the App is just the site's mobile version. The flat daily install curve of 100–250 matches this funnel [app_day_ext; YouTube community posts].
  • The App is a side effect of a domain move: after the old sites truyenfullaudio.net / .io shut down, users were sent to a new domain and pushed to install the App at the same time. A practical reason to build an App is that websites get blocked and demoted (three domain changes in one year), while an App on the phone isn't affected by domain changes [about.me/trfullaudio shutdown notice; YouTube announcement].
  • Money comes in through the website, not the stores: VietQR scan-to-top-up plus the "cultivation coin" system Vietnamese users know. The site and App share accounts and balances, and the $304.99 in-app purchase tier on Play looks more like decoration. That's why it has no rank on the grossing charts, and store data can't see its revenue.
  • Content costs are extremely low: Chinese web novel adaptations plus AI voiceover, with top "authors" averaging 120–158 works each. YouTube serves as the free preview, catching people who want to keep following a story and putting them behind a paywall.

6. Differentiation

Compared with legitimate platforms like Fonos / Voiz / Waka, it doesn't do licensed content or subscriptions. It's "YouTube narrators + memberships sold per narrator + tipping + a whale leaderboard", a live-streamed web-novel monetization model that resembles the early China tipping model of Qidian / Ximalaya narrators, transplanted to Vietnam. Compared with similar tools like Audio truyện AI, TYT, and Novel Reader, its difference is that it comes with a built-in stable of narrators and their YouTube audiences, rather than relying on store search. This "built-in narrator traffic" is why it has volume; the App's own features (background playback, playback speed, offline listening, sleep timer) are standard, not the reason.

7. How many people are seeing it / copying it

  • No public revenue figures, no media coverage, no X discussion; zero reviews on Play. It's still little known, circulating only within Vietnam's audio-story YouTube circles.
  • Copycats have already appeared: truyenfullaudio.com + Truyện Audio Hay (listed on 2026-10-12) are nearly identical knockoffs of the same site and App, even using the old brand name "Truyện Full Audio". The old domain's shutdown notice told users to "contact the admin on Zalo" to move to the new home but never said which new home it was. This could be the original team splitting up or someone grabbing the old brand. Unverified. There's also audiotruyenfull.org's Tiên Âm Giới, which uses a nearly identical App name.

8. Takeaways

  • A "free half on YouTube → sell the second half on your own site/App" funnel suits any narrator network with serialized long-form content;
  • Turn creators into "authors" on the site, sell memberships + tipping + leaderboards per author, so narrators are motivated to drive traffic from their channels;
  • Take payments through local scan-to-transfer, with the App serving only as a retention and anti-block "container" for the domain;
  • Attach affiliate referral links to TikTok/Facebook bios so listeners help bring in new users.

9. Uncertain

  • Real revenue: per-author membership counts (26–188 each) don't show duration or unit price, nor overlap; can't be estimated.
  • Copyright risk: the content is Chinese web novel adaptations plus YouTube material. Changing domains three times in a year may be tied to copyright complaints or Google demotion. Unverified.
  • Whether the truyenfullaudio.com setup is a split, a partnership, or a copy: unverified.
  • Whether it runs small Facebook / TikTok paid campaigns: our ad libraries don't cover this. Unverified.
  • Growth is slowing (August ~240/day → 10–November ~130/day). Whether the funnel from existing narrators will hit a ceiling needs watching.
