FACEIT Vision - 2D/3D Replay, ELO Stats, Roles, Map Predictor, Auto-Accept · nofear

A solo-built FACEIT extension: cut "watch the replay" from five steps to one, and squeezed into a decade-old niche

What it is A free Chrome extension for CS2 players: on the FACEIT match page, one click opens the 2D/3D replay of that match. It also shows opponents' ELO, roles, and smurf flags, and can auto-accept matches.

Why it took off FACEIT's official way to watch a demo means downloading, unzipping, and launching the game. This one puts it one click away on the page. The author shipped 15 versions in five months. In October it was recommended by a Russian-language CS TikTok video calling it a "must-have plugin" (one video with 124k views) and by the Leetify blog, which took it from 6,000 to 10k.

HHow you could follow Stop building FACEIT plugins. Take the replay playbook (embedded in the platform, server-side parsing, shareable links) and apply it to other competitive platforms whose official replay tools are clunky. Then chase featured spots from local-language gaming short-video accounts and big review sites, the same way it did.

Grade C: The FACEIT plugin niche is a decade old, has 15+ competitors, and its top players have millions of users. The only way to make money is selling cosmetics for about $2.99 a month, and its own replay differentiator is already being copied. What's worth learning is its entry point and its user acquisition, not building the same thing again. Word in small circles

10,000 users · rating 5.0 (24)

FACEIT Vision is a Chrome extension for CS2 players that lets you watch the 2D replay of a match straight from FACEIT's match page. When it launched in June it was "just another" in this niche. By late October it had reached 10k users, rated 5.0. It didn't invent a new category. It turned something everyone found tedious into one click, and it borrowed traffic from two other creators along the way. Below: how it squeezed in, where the ceiling is, and where you could get in from.

A video that "definitely isn't an ad"

In 2026 October, 24 in the morning (Moscow time), TikTok account @bandurkadima posted a video titled with just two words: "Faceit Vision." The poster's bio reads: "Dima, 31 years old, aka Bandurka, played for Team Spirit, streams on Twitch." The account had only 2,400 followers, yet the video reached 124k views, 7,832 likes, 4,646 saves, and 930 shares (TikHub, 11-06).

The most-liked comment: "Every 3500 has smurfs, this definitely isn't an ad" (274 likes). Others asked "can it look up toxic players?", said "EXT also shows hidden map pools and changes FACEIT's wallpaper," and replied "vision and ext are both godlike plugins." Viewers cared less about replays than about the plugin labeling high-rated opponents as "smurfs" (alt accounts).

A week earlier, Russian-language CS2 news account @clawzycs also featured it in episode 2 of its series "Three FACEIT Plugins" (10-1.85M views). The caption: "Watch the 2D replay right in your browser and review your mistakes," with the link in the pinned comment.

The user count jumped two tiers right around these two videos: 10-21 → 6,000,10-25 → 8,000,10-28 → 10,000 (a third-party extension stats site, 90-day curve; the Chrome Web Store has shown "10,000 users" the whole time, 11-01 to 11-06).

What problem it actually solves

FACEIT is the biggest third-party matchmaking platform for CS2, and its web version has almost no features. To review a match, the official method is: download the demo archive, unzip it, put it in the game directory, launch CS2, and play it from the console (per FACEIT's support docs). Nobody wants to go through all five steps just to see "why did I lose that match."

FACEIT Vision adds a button to the match page, and clicking it opens the 2D top-down replay of that match: you can hear the team voice chat from the demo and see who's talking, get per-round economy, and draw lines on the map. Teammates without the extension can open the replay link too. The 1.10 version in November added a 3D button that replays the same match with in-game HUD, sound, and skins. The official site claims over 29k 2D replays have been generated.

The demo is parsed on the author's own server, and matches parsed by others can be reused, so old matches from months earlier also play back. The author said on Reddit that the replay code is not open source. Most similar plugins just show a few extra numbers on the page. This piece is the real barrier to entry.

Beyond replays, it covers every small feature the similar plugins have: opponent ELO, K/D, ADR, win rate, each player's role (sniper, entry, lurker), an ELO curve over 7 to 30 days, smurf detection, map prediction, and auto-accept. Users who switch over don't lose anything.

One person, five months, fifteen versions

Developer nofear is an indie dev, and his is the only plugin in the store. On Jun 8, the day it went live, he posted on r/GlobalOffensive: "I made another FACEIT plugin... but this time I really want it to be different," saying he was sick of plugins that make the site a mess of colors. The post got only 6 upvotes and 11 comments. Three days later, his post on r/FACEITcom got just 5 upvotes. For cold start, he's handing out "OG badges" to early users, and anyone who adopts his suggestion gets a special badge too.

Then came a dense release cadence: from June to November 1, 15 versions in total (per the Firefox Add-ons record). 1.8 added BO3 and C4 explosion radius, 1.9 added smurf detection and login sync, and 1.10 added 3D replays, roles, and ELO history. When a FACEIT redesign broke things, 1.10.1 was fixed quickly. The store title has been changed at least 4 times, each time stuffing in new search terms. It's now called "2D/3D Replay, ELO Stats, Roles, Map Predictor, Auto-Accept."

Store reviews show what users actually value: "the best FACEIT plugin, polished UI, fast" (10-13), and "the developer keeps improving it and adding new ideas" (10-05).

Where users come from

Russian-language CS TikTok"N must-have FACEIT plugins" is a staple format in the CIS CS community. In October it got two entries: Bandurka at 124k views and clawzycs at 52k.The last jump (6k to 10k) came mostly from here. Whether any of it was a paid partnership can't be verified.
Leetify's official blogFACEIT restricts bulk demo downloads by third parties, so the review site Leetify can only upload demos with help from users who install plugins. Its blog lists 3 plugins, and FACEIT Vision ranks second.Riding referral traffic from a large site, with links carrying ref=leetify.com

The store is available in 13 languages, including Russian, Ukrainian, Turkish, and Polish, which matches its audience. It doesn't show up in X search, and no media outlet has covered it.

Where the money comes from: almost nowhere

All plugin features are free. The PLUS subscription launched in October 5 at $2.99 a month and only buys cosmetics: a colored nickname and card backgrounds that "every FACEIT Vision user can see" (official site /plus, 11-06). The payment page says Russian users pay monthly via SBP quick payment or cryptocurrency, in 30-day terms, while card payments elsewhere renew monthly. Paying-user numbers are not public.

Even if 2% of the 10k users paid, that's roughly $600 a month (an estimate). Charging only for cosmetics that others can see, without locking core features, protects the 5.0 rating, but it can't support a business.

Who it's competing with

The FACEIT plugin niche has existed for 2016 years, and at least 15 plugins are competing for the same players:

Repeek (formerly FACEIT Enhancer)1MThe category leader since 2018: auto-accept, opponent ELO, ban maps. No replays.

cs2vision6,000Launched in September, with 2D/3D replays plus an AI coach

Two things are worth remembering. First, EXT, not it, grew fastest over the same period. EXT has no replays and relied on data, cosmetics, and heavier TikTok distribution, with 9 times its users. In this niche, distribution matters more than having a unique feature for determining scale. Second, the replay differentiator has already been copied: Faceit-Extender and cs2vision are both catching up. And if FACEIT itself ships a web replay, or changes its page structure once, the whole class of plugins has to adapt (I haven't found any official plan for a web 2D replay, so this is not fully verified).

If it were you

C: There's something to learn, but building another FACEIT plugin isn't worth it. The niche is a decade old, has 15+ competitors, and its top players have millions of users. Monetization only works through cosmetics, and FACEIT Vision's own differentiator is already being copied. What's worth studying is its angle: take a high-frequency step the platform handles badly and make it one click, using an embedded plugin, server-side parsing, and shareable links.

Who it's for: developers who can parse game recordings or logs and run their own servers; people already inside a game community who know a few local-language short-video creators; and people who want a product with a 10k-user footprint they can point to, without needing it to make money fast.

Who it's not for: anyone hoping a plugin brings in a few thousand dollars a month. Player-facing plugins have little money in them. FACEIT Vision has 10k users and a $2.99 cosmetic subscription, which is pocket-money territory (inferred). It's also not for anyone who can't stand "the platform changed and everything broke."

How to build it: stop building for FACEIT. Find another platform where match records live on web pages and the official replays are hard to use, and port the same thing over. Candidates: other CS2 third-party platforms and tournament sites, Dota 2 and Valorant stat sites, and competitive game platforms with web match pages. Start with the one step everyone finds annoying (replays, post-match review, opponent lookup), then add the small features every local plugin already has, so switching costs users nothing.

How to get users: copy the playbook. Post on the matching Reddit and Discord the day it launches, and reward early users with badges in exchange for feedback and reviews. Find local-language game short-video accounts that make "N must-have plugins" roundups, and pitch the features people can see working on screen (the Bandurka clip: viewers remembered "a 3500-point smurf gets flagged"). Keep the store title aligned with search terms. And go after the biggest stats-review site in the niche for a featured spot; bringing it data is your best trade.

When to move: in the months when the platform changes its rules and third-party sites can't pull data. After FACEIT restricted demo downloads, "you need this plugin" became a must-have for sites like Leetify, and that's when FACEIT Vision got its featured spot. Once the platform ships the feature itself, the window closes.

What would mean you read it wrong: (1) FACEIT Vision went past 30k before year-end, which would show that "replays" matters more than distribution. Then a better replay tool on FACEIT is worth building. (2) FACEIT ships official web 2D replays, and the whole replay-plugin category loses its value. (3) Two or three plugins are already competing on the platform you picked, which means someone else is already on that path.

FACEIT Vision: why it worked

Channel: Chrome extension · ID kbjbhonnpkijdahiiddeihbolbdjbdnm · developer nofear (nofear.dev, an individual developer, with this as their only extension on the store) · official site faceitvision.net · research date 2026-11-06

Bottom line

It sells what FACEIT's official site doesn't offer: "watch the 2D replay right on the match page with one click." No demo download, no game launch. On top of that sits the usual pile of small features every similar extension has (opponent data, auto-accept, map predictions, smurf detection), and the developer ships often (6 through November, 15 versions). Users grew from 2k to 10k, mostly from two recommendation videos on CIS CS TikTok in mid-to-late October. One was posted by former Team Spirit player Bandurka, with 124k views. Leetify's official blog also gave it a featured spot. The space is crowded: at least 15 FACEIT extensions are competing for the same players. Its moat is the replay rendering tech, not the category itself.

2. Competitors: a crowded lane

FACEIT is the biggest third-party matchmaking platform for CS2, and its web version has almost no features. Browser extensions fill the gap. The ecosystem has been around for 2016 years since FACEIT HELPER, about a decade (Reddit r/GlobalOffensive 2016-10). Our library has dozens of extensions with FACEIT in the name or description:

Verdict: the "FACEIT enhancement extension" category already had a million-user leader (Repeek). FACEIT Vision squeezed in by doing one thing from day one that most rivals didn't: render 2D replays directly on the match page, with no demo download, and replay links open even without the extension installed. By the second half of 2026, rivals were catching up: Faceit-Extender and cs2vision shipped 2D/3D replays, and DemoLens added local parsing.

3. Where users came from (growth tactics)

  1. CIS CS TikTok creator recommendations (confirmed, timing matches the growth spike)
    • @bandurkadima (Twitch streamer BANDURKA, bio says "formerly with Team Spirit", 2.4k followers): on 2026-10-23 posted a video "Faceit Vision", 124k views, 7,830 likes, 4,646 saves, 929 shares (TikHub). The recall card logged the curve 10/21 6k → 10/25 8k → 10/28 10k, which stepped up right after this video.
    • @clawzycs (Russian-language CS2 news account, 2k followers): on 10/16 posted part 1 of "Three FACEIT Extensions", 320k views, featuring Mappio, Repeek and others. On 10/18 posted part 2, 52k views; the third pick was FACEIT Vision, pitched as "watch 2D replays in your browser and review your mistakes", with the link in the pinned comment.
    • "X must-have FACEIT extensions" short videos are a staple of Russian and Turkish CS communities; EXT, Tapit, FORECAST and the wallpaper extension all grew on them. Whether any paid partnership was involved can't be determined (unverified). The store supports 13 languages, including Russian and Ukrainian, and the developer's Discord is nofearje, which fits a CIS audience.
  2. Official recommendation on Leetify's blog (confirmed): Leetify's article "Upload your FACEIT demos automatically with Browser Extensions" lists 3 extensions, with FACEIT Vision second, linking with ref=leetify.com and labeled "Not tested by Leetify staff, upside: lobby enhancements + two-click upload". The reason: FACEIT limited demo downloads, so Leetify couldn't pull players' matches and had to rely on users' extensions to upload them. FV's built-in "one-click or automatic import to Leetify" effectively rides a large traffic site's referral flow.
  3. Reddit cold start (confirmed, small effect): 2026-06-08 posted in r/GlobalOffensive and 06-11 in r/FACEITcom with "I made yet another FACEIT extension… but I actually tried to make it stand out". They got only 6 upvotes and 11 comments, and 5 upvotes and 17 comments. The posts promised "OG badges" and "a custom badge if your suggestion gets accepted" to attract early users and good reviews.
  4. Store search ASO (confirmed): the store title was changed at least 4 times, each time packing in search terms. In order: "2D Replays, Lobby Insights & more" → "2D Replay, CS2 Stats Tracker, ELO & Auto-Accept" → "2D Replay, Opponent Stats, Levels & Auto-Accept" → the current "2D/3D Replay, ELO Stats, Roles, Map Predictor, Auto-Accept" (from crxplorer, chrome-stats, and the store history URL slugs). The store groups it with GRIND, Repeek, FORECAST and others in one "related extensions" cluster (chromestore related table), so users of similar tools cross-refer.
  5. Owned content and SEO (action confirmed, effect unknown): the site has Instagram Reels ("Rewatch your FACEIT demo in 2D…"), a /replays landing page, a crosshair generator, pro-player crosshairs, OBS overlays, skin inspection and other tool pages, plus an llms.txt. The blog is still empty.
  6. Built-in spread from the product (confirmed mechanism, effect not quantified): replay links open without the extension, so they can be sent straight to teammates. The PLUS name coloring is "visible to every FV user", so the more people install it, the more the cosmetic is worth, a small social signal.
  7. No evidence of paid ads found (Meta and TikTok ad libraries only track listed products and don't cover it). X corpus (x-radar, 180 days) returns no results for it.

4. Why it took off

  • Hits a real pain point in FACEIT's native experience: watching a FACEIT demo means downloading an archive, extracting it and opening the game (FACEIT support docs). FV renders 2D replays in one click on the match page, with voice, economy and drawing tools. The site claims 29K+ replays watched, showing users actually use it rather than just having it installed.
  • The core feature has a technical barrier: replays are parsed on the server (api.faceitvision.net), and previously parsed matches can be reused, so old matches also play back (a Reddit commenter replied: "Dec 25 matches play too"). The developer has said the replay code is not open source. Most other FACEIT extensions in the same period only did stats panels, which is far lower effort.
  • Iteration speed: 6/08 to 11/01 saw 15 versions (AMO). 1.8 added BO3 and C4 blast radius, 1.9 added smurf detection, PLUS and login sync, and 1.10 added 3D replays, roles and ELO history. Each major release was followed by a user-count step up (the recall card's read). When FACEIT changed its site, it was fixed quickly (1.10.1).
  • Rode a platform event: FACEIT restricted third-party bulk demo downloads (Leetify blog). Sites like Leetify and scope.gg could no longer pull matches themselves and had to get them through extensions in users' browsers. "You must install an extension" became the norm for demo tools, and FV got Leetify's recommendation as a result.
  • Hitched a ride on creator distribution: in October, CIS CS TikTok was flooded with "must-have FACEIT extensions" compilations. FV appeared in two, and the one from the former Team Spirit player hit 124k views. The timing matches the last step up (6k to 10k).

5. Differentiation, and whether it's really why it grew

  • Differentiation: 2D replays embedded in the match page, 3D replays, demo voice, and replay links that open without installation. On Chrome, among FACEIT extensions with 10k+ users, it is the only one with replays as the main selling point (Repeek, FORECAST, Mappio, EXT and GRIND have none). The UI is also restrained; the developer's Reddit post says "sick of extensions that turn sites into a circus", which is a selling point too.
  • Was that the cause of the growth?: partly, not entirely. The creator videos' copy singles out exactly "watch 2D replays right in the browser", so the differentiator was also the spreading hook. But EXT, the biggest user base in the same period (90k), grew on stats, cosmetics and heavier TikTok distribution; FV had a ninth of that. In this category, distribution intensity matters more than feature uniqueness for scale. Now the differentiator is being copied: Faceit-Extender and cs2vision's blurbs have nearly lifted FV's selling points.

6. How visible it is

  • Revenue isn't public. It's not on TrustMRR, has no media coverage, and nothing turns up on X. It has only appeared in CIS CS TikTok, the Leetify blog and small Reddit threads, so it's circulating in niche circles.
  • But the category is already crowded: at least 15 FACEIT extensions are competing for the same CS2 players, and the fastest-growing, EXT, is 9 times its size. Faceit-Extender and cs2vision are following with 2D/3D replays, smurf detection and "levels up to 20".

7. What others can learn

  • Find a step the platform does poorly and users do often (here, reviewing demos), make it one click with "in-extension embed + server-side parsing + shareable link", then bundle the small features every competitor has so switching costs stay low.
  • Monetize only cosmetic social signals (name coloring, card backgrounds that other users can see), keep the core features out of any paywall, and protect ratings and word of mouth.
  • Distribution: work with local-language vertical gaming short-video accounts on "N must-have extensions" compilations. Keep rewriting the store title around search terms. Actively pursue recommendation slots from big tools (Leetify).
  • Use standalone tools (crosshairs, OBS overlays, skin inspection) to capture long-tail SEO.

8. Still unclear

  • The extops curve for August to October in the recall card has no data point for this ID in our library, so it can't be verified.
  • Whether the Bandurka and clawzycs videos were paid partnerships is unknown.
  • How many people actually pay for PLUS and at what price is unverified ($2.99/month comes from the recall card).
  • Whether FACEIT will ship official 2D replays or restrict extensions. The category carries platform risk: a FACEIT redesign can break features, and v1.10.1 already had to fix one.
  • The site's "15K+ monthly users" is higher than the store's 10k, probably because it counts visitors from Firefox, Edge and replay links.
