After Naver cut off index lookups for half a year, Korea's top blog tool now sells "one-click writing, one-click publishing"

What it is A Chrome extension: it takes an AI-written Naver blog post from the 블덱스라이터 website, fills it into your already-logged-in Naver blog editor with one click, and publishes it. The companion writing site starts at ₩59,000 a month.

Why it took off In 2025 December, Naver shut off the blog-index lookup that Blogdex ran. The team moved traffic from its main site and the bloggers in its own experience-review group onto AI writing plus automatic publishing, and used usage coupons to get bloggers to write post-use reviews on Naver.

CHow you could approach it: don't build another Naver publishing plugin in Korea. If you already have a pool of writers or merchants, build "AI writing + publishing via the logged-in session" for platforms that only offer a web editor. Start by letting your own people use it, then use usage coupons to seed reviews in platform search.

Grade C: it grows on Blogdex's old reputation, its main-site traffic, and its own experience-review bloggers, which followers can't copy. Similar extensions have appeared by the dozen in a year, and Naver keeps increasing penalties on AI-written posts. What's worth learning is the loop of "supply side + tool + usage coupons for reviews." Spreading in small circles

블덱스라이터 발행 is a Chrome extension. It takes a Naver blog post generated on the Korean AI writing site 블덱스라이터, and with one click it fills the text, along with bold formatting, images, link cards, and Naver Maps, into your logged-in Naver blog editor, then publishes it. The extension itself is small: by Nov 6 it had 1,000 users, and it hasn't been updated in a week. What's worth watching is the company behind it: after the platform cut off its old business across the board, how did it move the same people onto a new paid line? This playbook is worth learning, but building another similar extension in Korea isn't worth it.

Dec 2025 4

Blogdex (블덱스) was originally Korea's best-known "blog index" lookup site. Many Naver bloggers used it to check what tier their blog was in Naver's eyes, and quoted their rates for experience reviews and ads by that tier. In Nov 2025 5, Naver turned off HTTP/1.0 support for its RSS service, and the old channel external tools used to estimate indices was gone. A month later, in Dec 4, Blogdex announced it would stop index lookups and refund paid users before year-end (the timeline article by 모비인사이드 on brunch, 2026-05-18).

The same day, the official account of the company's experience-review platform posted one line on Threads, @blogdexreview: "Ahh... why does Naver's logic keep changing…"

Half a year later, the account posted again, in a completely different tone (Threads, 2026-06-19):

Now the 블덱스체험단 official site is recruiting writers, and the prize is a 블덱스라이터 usage coupon that automatically publishes to Naver blogs! …From now on, just upload your draft and it's written and published automatically. Go to a food experience group, organize the photos and info, and the content is basically done with a single "click"~

Between the two posts, the company did three things: in May 2026 14 it listed this publishing extension; in June 2 it pushed a press release for 「블덱스라이터」 on the Korean news site 시선뉴스; and in late June, "블덱스라이터 usage review" posts began appearing in bulk on Naver blogs.

What it is

The two pieces are used together:

  • Writing site write.blogdex.space: choose a post type (news, food, professional 8 categories, promotion, product review, Coupang seller, custom), enter a store name or product link, and in about 2 minutes it produces a post of roughly 1,800 characters with subheadings, a table of contents, and tags. When writing about a restaurant, entering the store name from Naver Maps automatically inserts the store map into the body. There are also Coupang WING listing copy packs and long-image product detail pages; the short-video script is marked "coming soon."
  • Publishing extension: on the writing site, click "publish" and the extension opens Naver's blog editor itself, fills the post in its original format, and publishes it; it keeps running even if the popup is closed. The store description specifically says "no local bridge required," meaning earlier versions required installing a separate program on the computer. The extension uses your Naver account already logged in in the browser and never asks for your password.

Price (write.blogdex.space, 11-06):

TierMonthly feeItem
FREE₩0About 30 posts a month, can't connect the plugin
BASIC₩59,0005 posts a day, 150 a month, with auto-publishing via the plugin
PRO₩139,00020 posts a day, 600 a month, plus custom templates (each image slot takes several photos, one picked at random each time)
BUSINESSFrom ₩88,000The Blogdex team writes 22 posts a month for you, and publishes them too

The plugin requires BASIC or higher to connect, so these 1,000 installs roughly cap the number of paying users on the writing site (inferred; free users may have installed it first too).

How far it got

Not big. Across four checks in the Chrome Web Store (11-01, 11-02, 11-04, 11-06), it's always 1,000 users, 10 ratings, and a 5.0 score. The extension got updated to 1.0.65 (10-05) over 3 months, so the team keeps shipping, but the user count hasn't moved.

The parent site gets far more traffic than the plugin: Semrush estimates blogdex.space at about 90k visits a month (2026-09). Nobody has published how many people pay for the writing site or how much it earns. English-language media and X don't cover it at all. It only circulates among Korean Naver bloggers and experience-group circles.

Where users come from

Almost all of it comes from things it already had.

Traffic from the parent site. The top nav of blogdex.space permanently links to "블덱스라이터" and "블덱스체험단" (11-06). After the index lookup was shut down, the parent site was reworked into "블덱스 3.0", which still scores blogs and keeps pulling bloggers in.

Aftermath posts from its own experience group. 체험단 (experience groups) is a distinctly Korean business: brands give bloggers free products or meals, and the bloggers write a review on Naver afterward. Blogdex runs its own experience-group platform, blogdexreview.space, with a large pool of bloggers. It pays people with usage credits for the writing tool to join a "writing team," and those bloggers post "블덱스라이터 usage reviews." From late June to October, Naver has a run of these posts, with very similar titles and structure:

  • "블로그체험단 자동발행 쉬운 블덱스라이터 써본 후기" (thgus6014,6-29)
  • "챗지피티 무료 단점, 블로그 자동발행까지 되는 블덱스라이터 써본 후기" (zigyt, late June): uses free ChatGPT as the comparison
  • "블덱스 라이터 후기, AI 대필 아닌 상위노출 퀄리티를 높이는 활용법" (ggonnip100, June): one subheading reads "Why use the paid 블덱스 instead of the free 뤼튼 (Wrtn)?"
  • "네이버 블로그 자동 발행으로 월 100만원 세팅한 방법" (rudgns_2, October)

The writing site's own sample post links to a Naver blog account that also wrote one of these reviews, so at least some are from official partner accounts. Most of these posts don't carry a "sponsored" or "paid" label, so outsiders can't tell which were written in exchange for credits (unverified).

Naver site search and Knowledge iN. The reviews all sit on Naver, and searching "블로그 자동발행" (blog auto-publishing) turns up lots of them. Knowledge iN (Naver's Q&A) has a "#블덱스라이터" tag, with answers like "요즘 정착한 게 블덱스라이터" (lately I've settled on 블덱스라이터).

Press release. 2026-06-02 Sisun News: "블덱스, AI 기반 블로그 원고 자동 생성 서비스 '블덱스라이터' 선보여", credited "자료제공 / 블덱스" (press material from 블덱스), pitching "templates for 8-type content for professionals."

The three lines feed each other: the index tool pulls bloggers in, the experience groups hand them work, and the writing tool helps those bloggers mass-produce and publish the experience-group posts. The experience groups then use writing-tool credits to recruit people to write the reviews.

What buyers actually want

The most practical review, by a writer who says they take on more than 20 experience-group jobs a month (thgus6014,6-29):

5 posts a day is the limit. When experience-group work piles up, they just stay up all night... Before, one post took 40 or more minutes. Now it's done in 15 to 20 minutes.

They also raised a worry: "If AI text goes out without a single edit, Naver may flag the blog as low quality." So their approach is to let AI draft, then add a sentence or two of personal sensory detail. Their favorite feature is scheduled publishing: "A post due to go up at 2 a.m. just gets booked, and that's it."

So people paying aren't buying "AI writes well." They're buying relief from the whole chain of manual work: writing, formatting, images, map embeds, and publishing on time. A general AI plus copy-paste fails on image and formatting in the Naver editor, which is why the sales posts keep comparing it against ChatGPT and 뤼튼. The writing site also has an option to write sponsor promo copy in a "seller's voice / buyer's review voice," a use that sits in a gray zone.

Who it's competing with

Free source code, outsourced programmers2025–2026—YouTube has tutorials titled "Naver blog automation, don't pay for it" (Naver blog automation, don't spend money on it). They require installing a local program, which carries a higher risk of account bans.

By the second half of 2026, nearly every Korean blog tool and marketing agency was building a publishing plugin like this. There's no barrier to entry at the plugin layer.

There's also a risk the whole category can't dodge. According to the breakdown in that brunch article, Naver ramped up penalties on ad-style and AI-generated posts from late 2025 into early 2026. Then from May 2026 7 onward, many marketers reported blog posts dropping sharply in Naver's general search (Naver never made an official announcement). The more a tool writes and the faster it publishes, the sooner it runs into this.

What you can take

  • Publish through platforms with no open API by using a plugin and the user's logged-in session. No client to install, no password to hand over, which also looks safer. This works on any platform that only has a web editor: Tistory, the Xiaohongshu web version, WeChat Official Account backend, Douyin Creator Center.
  • If you control a supply side, pay for reviews with tool credits. Seeding costs almost nothing, and the content lands right in the target platform's search results.
  • When a platform shuts down your old business, move the same people to a new paid product. If you can't sell index lookups, sell writing and publishing. The users are still the same bloggers.
  • Detailed templates sell better than "AI writes better." Maps, link cards, industry templates, product listing packs: general AI can't do these.

If it were you

Verdict: Don't build another Naver auto-publishing plugin in Korea. This one survives on Blogdex's old reputation, a parent site with 90k monthly visits, and its own experience-group bloggers. Followers can't get any of those three. Over a dozen similar plugins appeared within a year, and most users stay under 30. The loop is what's worth learning from.

Who it fits: People who already have a pool of creators, bloggers, or merchants. Examples: a platform that matches reviewers with restaurants or product tests, an agency that runs client accounts, a blogging course with a cohort of students. You already produce and publish in bulk, so build the tool for yourself first, then sell it to your own supply side.

Who it doesn't fit: Solo indie developers who can code but have no traffic. The plugin layer is open to anyone, and someone can copy it within a year. Without existing users, you're most likely one of the many small plugins stuck at 30 users.

How to do it: Pick a platform that only offers a web editor and has tedious publishing formats. First build "writing + filling the editor in the platform's format + scheduled publishing" for your own team. Make templates for specific scenarios (reviews with maps, products with link cards). Charge on the writing site, tiered by monthly posts; the plugin is just the channel for the paid tier. Always keep a manual editing step before publishing. Naver's case already shows that posting raw AI text drags the user's account down with it.

How to get users: Follow Blogdex's playbook. Use tool credits to trade with your creators for real usage reviews, post them on the target platform, and make sure searches like "[product] auto-publish" return your content. Then answer questions in the platform's own Q&A section.

How much time you have: There's no holiday-style deadline. The real pressure comes from the platform. If the target platform starts mass-penalizing AI posts or auto-publishing accounts, the business is over. So if you don't get paying users within 3 months of launch, stop.

Signs you've misread this: ① 블덱스라이터 publishing had users growing past 5,000 before February 2027, or a similar plugin like 로워드 passed 10k. That would mean demand is bigger than it looks and Korea isn't saturated yet. ② Naver opens an official publishing API, or publicly penalizes auto-publishing accounts. The first makes the plugin layer worthless, the second wipes out the whole category. ③ Blogdex spins the writing site out on its own and discloses revenue. That would mean the tool itself can drive acquisition, not just serve its own experience group.

Users generate posts in the writing site, click once, and the plugin fills the post, with formatting, images, link cards and Naver Place maps, into the logged-in Naver blog editor and publishes it.

1. Verdict

The plugin itself hasn't "taken off." It's the publishing channel for Blogdex's paid writing line, and users and paying users are basically the same number: 1,000 users, rating 10 reviews, flat for a week. The parent product survives on three resources:

  1. Old brand and old traffic: Blogdex calls itself "No.1 blog index analysis in Korea." Semrush estimates blogdex.space at ~90k monthly visits, ranked #8083 in Korea (semrush.com/website/blogdex.space, 2026-09).
  2. A platform event forced the pivot: 2025-11-05 Naver shut down its RSS HTTP/1.0 channel, and 2025-12-04 Blogdex announced it would stop real-time index lookups and issue refunds (brunch.co.kr/@mobiinside/7384). The old paid model broke, so the team moved traffic to the new paid line of "AI writing + auto-publishing": the plugin listed 2026-05-14, and a press release went out 2026-06-02 (시선뉴스 sisunnews idxno=239811).
  3. Its own "experience group" platform boosts its reputation: the same company runs 블덱스체험단 (blogdexreview.space, an experience-group platform matching bloggers and merchants). The official Threads @blogdexreview (3,466 followers) openly recruits 기자단 (writers), with the prize being a 블덱스라이터 usage voucher that auto-publishes to Naver blogs. So Naver blogs carry a large batch of structurally similar "블덱스라이터 usage reviews," and Naver Knowledge iN has answers naming it.

It has a small point of differentiation, but that isn't why it grew. It makes publishing a pure browser extension, with no local bridge or exe, and never touches account passwords. Its templates are built around Naver scenarios: restaurant posts auto-insert Place maps, plus experience-group posts, 8-type professional templates, and Coupang WING listing packs. Users pay because it cuts out the whole chain of manual writing, formatting and publishing; what made people aware of the product was Blogdex's name and seeding from its own experience group.

Bottom line: lots of people are building "AI writes Naver blog posts and auto-publishes them." By the second half of 2026, nearly every Korean blog tool and marketing agency had built a publishing plugin, and a batch of new ones launched just 2026-11. So it has no moat, and the model has already been copied.

3. Growth tactics (where users come from)

  1. Parent-site funnel (confirmed): the top nav of blogdex.space permanently links to the "블덱스라이터" and "블덱스체험단" entries (2026-11-06 read the homepage), and also to Blogdex Play App (space.blogdex.twa). After index lookup was shut down, the site was redesigned as "블덱스 3.0" to keep drawing traffic.
  2. Own experience group / writer group trading posts (confirmed): Threads @blogdexreview writes "From the official 블덱스체험단 homepage … recruiting 기자단 with 블덱스라이터 usage vouchers as prizes." The Naver blog reviews (thgus6014, zigyt, ggonnip100, ace_begins, rudgns_2, ehdehdrn126 and others) have highly similar titles and structure, all pushing "free 2 posts a day," "auto-publishing," and "automatic Place map insertion." ggonnip100 says they "experienced it" on the BASIC plan. The writing site's own sample post links to ehdehdrn126, suggesting at least some accounts are official partners.
  3. In-Naver SEO and Knowledge iN (confirmed): Knowledge iN has a #블덱스라이터 tag page, with answers saying things like "the one I settled on lately is 블덱스라이터." Korean users searching "블로그 자동발행" on Naver run into plenty of these posts.
  4. PR press release (confirmed): 시선뉴스 2026-06-02, "Material provided by / 블덱스"; the same company's experience-group platform previously placed releases on 이데일리 마켓인 as well.
  5. Facebook page (weak): the "블덱스라이터" page has 17 followers and "89 talking about this"; it may have run small ad buys, unverified.
  6. X / TikTok: x-radar finds no "blogdex" in the last 180 days, so no evidence.

How the money comes back: writing site FREE (2 posts a day) / BASIC ₩59,000 a month (5 posts a day, 150 a month, can use the auto-publishing plugin; danawa post, 2026-08) / PRO (exclusive templates, 10 images per post) / BUSINESS (ghostwriting and posting). The experience-group platform charges merchants points for "optimized bloggers." The three lines feed each other: the index tool attracts bloggers, the experience group gives them work, and the writing tool helps them churn out and publish the experience-group posts in bulk.

4. Visibility

A small circle is talking about it, but no one has disclosed revenue. It only circulates in Naver blog and experience-group circles, and it's almost all in-house seeding and press releases. We found no TrustMRR listing, no founder revenue posts, and no coverage in English media or on X. Copycats have already appeared: 로워드, 혁신 블로그 AI, 닥터마인즈 and other publishing plugins, plus free source-code tutorials on YouTube.

5. Differentiation, and whether it was the reason for the growth

  • Pure-plugin publishing: the store description specifically says "without a local bridge," which means early versions required a local bridge and it later became a pure extension. The plugin publishes through the Naver session you're already logged into, collects no passwords, and keeps publishing even if you close the popup. The barrier is lower than DIY scripts or outsourced exe tools, and it looks safer.
  • Details tuned for the Naver editor: bold, colors, quote-block subheadings, link cards (added by 2026-08), and Place maps all carry over intact. Generic AI plus copy-paste can't do this.
  • Templates by scenario: restaurant stores, experience groups, 8-type professionals, Coupang sellers, and random images from a custom library (PRO).
  • Can check the "index": Blogdex 3.0 still scores blogs, so writing and index checks live in one account.

These keep paying users around, but they aren't why it's being noticed. The visibility comes from Blogdex's brand, its traffic, and seeding from its own experience group. The differentiation is also easy to copy: the competitor table shows a dozen similar plugins within a year.

6. What to borrow

  • "Platform with no open API + browser plugin as the publishing channel": it fills the platform's web editor using the user's own logged-in session, with no client to install and no passwords touched. The same approach could move to Tistory, the web version of Xiaohongshu, the WeChat Official Account backend, and the Douyin creator center, any platform that only has a web editor.
  • Closed-loop marketing across both sides: if you own an experience-group platform (blogger supply), you can pay bloggers with tool vouchers to write "tool reviews," making seeding nearly free while the content lands in the target platform's search results.
  • When a platform cuts off the old model, move the same traffic to a new paid line: index lookup ended, so the business shifted to writing and publishing.
  • Building out scenario templates in detail (maps, link cards, industry templates) persuades paying users better than simply claiming "the AI writes better."

7. Uncertain

  • The writing site's real paying-user count and revenue (plugin 1,000 users is only a rough upper bound).
  • How many of those reviews were written for usage vouchers or fees. Only one older post explicitly mentions a "modest manuscript fee," and that one promotes the experience-group platform, not the writing tool; the rest aren't labeled, unverified.
  • Whether it runs paid ads (Meta, Naver search ads). Our ad library doesn't track this company, not checked.
  • How hard Naver penalizes AI-generated content and auto-publishing. C-Rank and D.I.A.+ tightened penalties on generated content in 2026 (brunch article), a systemic risk for the whole category.
  • Operating entity: the store lists jgluna.com, the press release says 「주식회사 제이지루나」, and the website footer says 「(주)더씨커 & 제이지루나」, so it looks like two related companies run it jointly.
