The TikTok plugin from the "make-money-online uncle": a Vietnamese developer used a free tool to hook 7,000 TikTok affiliate sellers, then sold a 4-USD-a-month product-picks chart

What it is A Vietnamese-language web plugin for TikTok. It's free to download videos and check stats. The paid tier is a daily chart of TikTok Shop products that are picking up momentum, at 99,000 VND a month (about $4).

Why it took off It led with a feature TikTok's web version lacked (seeing which videos have shopping carts and their prices on desktop) as a free hook. The author posted it in his own Facebook and in big Vietnamese AI groups, which brought the first users. Then he updated often and steered people toward a cheap subscription for product picks, paid by local bank transfer.

BWhat you can do with it Copy it into a Southeast Asian market (Indonesia, Thailand, the Philippines): a free TikTok mini-tool in the local language as the hook, with a few dollars a month for product-selection data on top, paid via local QR-code payments. Promote it in your own seller groups as a free tool you built yourself.

Grade B: few people know about it. The localized, cheap, QR-payment approach is clear, and other countries are likely still empty. But cold start depends on the author's own community, so followers need to already be inside the local circles. The hook also relies on a gap in TikTok's web version that has already been patched once. Scale is still small, and paid numbers aren't visible. Few people know about it yet

The Vietnamese developer Tô Anh Văn, online name "Ông Chú MMO" (roughly "the make-money-online uncle"), posted a Chrome extension he wrote with AI on Facebook. At first it did one thing: while you browse TikTok on a computer, it shows which videos have shopping carts, what's in them, and how much they cost. Five and a half months later it had 7,000 users. It was renamed "Săn Sản Phẩm Win Mỗi Ngày" (Hunt a Winning Product Every Day), with a product-picks subscription at 99,000 VND a month (about $4) attached, and later a VIP tier for prompts and coaching. Almost nobody outside noticed. The approach could be copied to other Southeast Asian countries, but the person copying it has to be inside that community.

A Facebook post from the afternoon of May 17

On May 17, 2026, at 4:42 p.m., Tô Anh Văn wrote on his personal Facebook: "I just built an extension... that lets you see TikTok videos with shopping carts directly on your computer," with the store link in the comments. The post got 226 reactions, 53 comments, and 120 shares. The extension went live on the Chrome Web Store the same day under the name "TikTok Dễ Ẹc" ("TikTok Super Easy").

The next day he posted the same thing in "Sống cùng AI" (Living with AI), one of Vietnam's largest AI communities. The wording was "a free vibe-coded tool, planning to open-source it," with a note that, per the group rules, the link was in the comments. This post got 91 reactions and 48 shares.

Many Vietnamese TikTok Shop affiliates find topics and edit videos on a computer. But TikTok's web version makes it hard to see which videos have carts or what they sell, so they end up switching back and forth to a phone. The uncle's two posts addressed only this one pain point, and said it in a single line. The first one or two thousand users most likely came from these two posts (inference).

What it is now

On the Chrome Web Store it is no longer just a "see the cart" tool. The free version needs no sign-up. It downloads video, audio, and subtitles, auto-scrolls, plays in the background, blocks content by keyword, shows plays, likes, saves, and publish date on each video card, scans an account to count how many videos each product appears in by date, and exports CSV. It also works on Douyin.

The paid Pro tier does the affiliate seller's job. Every day it gives a "products picking up momentum" chart across 20 categories (beauty, home, baby, snacks, with fish sauce and dried goods in their own category), with 14-day sales curves, commission per order, and "how many people are selling it." Video cards flag when a video is several times above that account's usual performance. It also scores channels, finds KOCs, and shows who in the comments is asking "where do I buy." The companion site sanphamwin.com works on mobile too. Its homepage says it has read data on 32,977 products over the past 7 days, and it was last updated in Nov 6 17:50.

It iterates very fast. Third-party data showed version 12.21 in October, 1 in Nov 12.45, and 7 by Nov 12.47.3, with several releases a week. The author is one person, coding with AI.

Where the money comes from

The plugin is free. The money is collected on his own site. Pro pricing (pro.ongchummo.com, 11-06):

PlanPricingThat works out to
1 months99,000 VNDAbout 4 USD
3 months249,000 VNDabout $3.3 a month
6 months399,000 VNDabout $2.6 a month
Super VIPPlus Zalo or Facebook DMFull product library, more queries

Payment is by bank transfer scanning a VietQR code, activated automatically within seconds. The page says "no auto-renewal, no secret charges" and "refund within 7 days if our product fails you." One Gmail can only be logged into one computer at a time. Invite a friend who pays for the first time, and you both get 7 days of Pro.

Each of these points addresses Vietnamese users' fear of being ripped off. For comparison, Kalodata and FastMoss, the tools Vietnamese affiliates most often compare against, are web SaaS products at tens of dollars a month that require a foreign-currency card. The uncle doesn't compete on data depth. He competes on price, roughly an order of magnitude cheaper, with local bank transfer, a tool that works right on the TikTok page, and the author himself reachable if something goes wrong.

The plugin isn't his only product. ongchummo.com also sells a Windows AI image and video tool, "AI Dễ Ẹc" (2,999,000 VND one-time, about $115), a set of chatbots and workflows for writing product video scripts, and a site VIP at 999,000 VND a month or 4,999,000 VND for life, selling prompts, tutorials, and one-on-one coaching. The plugin is the entry point for the whole "make-money-online uncle" business.

How many people pay, and how much a month it brings in, is not visible from the outside.

Where users come from

  • The author's own accounts and groups: the Facebook group "AI Dễ Ẹc – Making Money with AI," a Facebook page with about 1,600 followers, a YouTube channel @ongchummoai with 2,940 subscribers (the install tutorial video has 1,900 views), a TikTok account with 3,150 followers, plus more than four Zalo groups, Telegram, and Discord. After an update in Jun 23, he opened a dedicated Zalo group and said when features got patched by TikTok, "everyone cried together." Users relate to him as a community member, not as buyers relate to a shop.
  • Borrowing big groups: the "Sống cùng AI" post above, shared softly within the group rules.
  • Taking over in-group jargon: renamed "Săn Sản Phẩm Win." "Sản phẩm win" (winning product) is a term Vietnamese affiliates search constantly. sanphamwin.com has landing pages for 20 categories, plus tutorials like "what is a winning product" and "how to find your first winning product," signed by the author, published in Oct 26 and updated in Nov 2. It's a long-tail search play.
  • Someone else's tutorial videos (not confirmed to be this product): on TikTok, Vietnamese make-money-online accounts teach "see carts on desktop + download without watermark." For example, @uyenmmoai (19.5k followers) posted one in Jun 19 with 16.7k views that matches the two features it had at the time. I didn't open each one to confirm which plugin it covers.
  • Ads: no ad campaigns found.

Growth has been slow. It had about 6,000 users in October, 1 in Nov 6,000, reached 7,000 by Nov 4, and has been flat since. It has 4.75,16 reviews, and not one new review in a week. The only review visible in the store reads almost like a feature list, like something from someone the author knows (unverified).

Official TikTok productMobile app, Affiliate Center—Carts are visible on mobile, but awkward on the desktop web. That is the gap it moved into.

In the "Vietnamese-language TikTok Shop product-picks plugin" slot, a second player only started squeezing in around November.

The hook is a bit gray

The feature that first drove growth relied on a gap in TikTok's web version. In June the author himself said store review was slow, "probably because of the unlock shop feature and watching cart videos on desktop." The same month TikTok patched that capability. The store listing and official site no longer advertise "see the cart on desktop" and instead lead with downloads and product data. That suggests the author knows the hook is fragile and is moving users onto the paid data layer. Whether the product data is read from the page or pulled from a third-party API, and how accurate it is, is not known from the outside.

If it were you

In one line: it can be done, but in a different country. Affiliate sellers in Indonesia, Thailand, the Philippines, and Malaysia are in the same position as Vietnam's. They want product data but find Kalodata too expensive and have no foreign-currency card. A local-language plugin with local QR payment at a few dollars a month, using a free feature as the hook, probably still has an open slot (inference; I did not check each country one by one).

Who it suits: you already belong to a seller or make-money-online community in a Southeast Asian country and have your own account or group, even if it's only a thousand or two followers. You can write a plugin with AI, are willing to ship several versions a week, and will answer questions in the group yourself.

Who it doesn't suit: people outside the community. The uncle's first few thousand users came from his own and his friends' Facebook posts, which you can't buy. If you only want an English, global-market product, you'd be competing with KOLSprite and EchoTik with no edge. Also skip it if you can't handle rushing out a fix every time the platform changes.

How to build it: first find something local affiliate sellers keep switching between their phone and desktop to do (viewing cart videos, checking product prices, downloading without watermark, exporting comments), and make it a free plugin with no sign-up. Then add paid layers on top: a daily chart of trending products by category, commission per order, and "how many people are selling it." Take payment by local QR transfer or e-wallet (QRIS in Indonesia, PromptPay in Thailand, GCash in the Philippines), with prepayment, no auto-renewal, and clear refund terms, plus a website that works on mobile.

How to get users: use the voice of "a free tool I vibe-coded myself." Post it on your own Facebook and in the largest local AI or make-money-online groups, with the link in the comments. Open a Zalo, LINE, or Telegram group for support. Name the store and site to capture local affiliate jargon (in Vietnam, "sản phẩm win"). Invite friends so you both get a few free Pro days.

How soon you need to move: there's no hard deadline, but sooner is better. A second similar product has already appeared in Vietnam by November, and other countries will probably get copycats within about six months. TikTok could close the web-version gap at any time, so don't bet the whole product on that one gray feature.

What would show you were wrong: if this plugin is still around 7,000 by next January or February and its rating isn't growing, the free hook isn't keeping people and the paid layer doesn't hold up. Or if Kalodata or FastMoss launch a local price of a few dollars a month with local QR payment. Or if TikTok blocks the web-version cart viewing again and users of this type of plugin drop off together.

One line

A TikTok desktop extension built with AI vibe coding by Vietnamese indie developer Tô Anh Văn (online handle "Ông Chú MMO", roughly "the online-money uncle"). It started out very narrow: while watching TikTok on a computer, it shows which videos have shopping carts and the names and prices of the products in them. Features kept piling on until it became an affiliate tool for Vietnamese TikTok Shop creators, covering product research, video/channel data and downloads, plus a web version at sanphamwin.com that charges through Pro subscriptions (99K / 249K / 399K VND, paid by VietQR bank transfer).

Verdict

It took off because of a clear platform gap (cart videos are hard to view on the TikTok web version) plus the author's own launch posts in Vietnamese AI and online-money Facebook communities. Free tools brought in the first users. Frequent iteration then steered free users toward Vietnamese-language, locally paid Pro subscriptions that cost far less than Kalodata or FastMoss. It is still small (7,000 users, 16 ratings), and the author's own channels have only a few thousand followers, so almost nobody has noticed it.

3. Where users came from (growth tactics)

  1. Launched by the author on personal Facebook (confirmed): 2026-05-17 16:42, "Mình vừa làm… extension… xem video TikTok có gắn giỏ hàng ngay trên máy tính", 226 reactions, 53 comments, 120 shares, with the store link in the comments. This was the same day as the store release.
  2. Posted in the large Vietnamese AI community "Sống cùng AI" (the group run by Nguyễn Quyết Thắng) (confirmed): 2026-05-18, sharing it as a "free vibe-coded tool, planning to open-source it", 91 reactions, 48 shares. The post specifically says "following Thắng's group rules, the link is in the comments", a soft share that respects the group's rules.
  3. Owned network (confirmed, but small): FB group "AI Dễ Ẹc – Kiếm tiền bằng AI", a page with 1,571 followers, YouTube @ongchummoai with 2.94K subscribers (install tutorial video at 1.9K views), TikTok @ongchummo.com with 3,150 followers, plus 4+ Zalo groups and Telegram and Discord. 6-23 also set up a Zalo group for version updates, so users can "commiserate together" when TikTok breaks a feature, which shows a community relationship between users and the author.
  4. Third-party Vietnamese MMO accounts making tutorials (looks like it, not confirmed): TikTok tutorials along the lines of "xem video gắn giỏ hàng trên PC", for example @uyenmmoai (19.5K followers, 2026-06-1.92M views, mentioning "view cart videos on PC + watermark-free download", which matches the two features it had at the time) and @kiemtienvideoai (2026-09-646K views). I did not open the videos to check which extension they cover.
  5. SEO and store keywords (confirmed in progress): renamed "Săn Sản Phẩm Win Mỗi Ngày" ("sản phẩm win" is a high-volume search term in the Vietnamese affiliate scene); sanphamwin.com has 20 category landing pages and a batch of "sản phẩm win là gì" and "cách tìm sản phẩm win" tutorial pages aimed at long-tail search.
  6. Referral (confirmed): the Pro page has an invite link. When a friend pays for the first time, both get 7 days of Pro (ongchummo.com/store/tiktok-pro-tools-extension).
  7. Ads: no evidence of paid ads found (our ad library only tracks products on its watch list, so not finding ads does not mean there were none).

How the money comes back: the free extension pulls in users → Pro at 99K VND/month (about 4 USD), 3 months for 249K, 6 months for 399K, no auto-renewal, VietQR transfer, one Gmail can only be used on one computer at a time → Super VIP closed through private chat → higher up, the website VIP at 999K/month or 4.999M lifetime, plus selling prompts, workflows and 1-on-1 coaching (ongchummo.com/pricing). The extension is the lead-in for the whole "online-money uncle" paid-knowledge business.

4. Why it took off

  • Hits one specific platform gap: Vietnamese affiliates like to do research on a computer, but the TikTok web version makes it hard to see cart videos and product prices, so they have to keep switching to a phone. The launch post and the group post both talk only about this one thing, and they state it in a single sentence. The author himself said store review was slow, "probably because of the unlock shop and the feature of viewing cart videos on PC", which shows the point is a bit grey and that big tools won't go near it.
  • Timing: Affiliate selling on Vietnam's TikTok Shop is hot, and across 2026 years all of Vietnam's online spaces have been talking about "making money by selling products with AI-made videos". The author's YouTube already covers using Seedance and Veo for UGC product videos, and his audience is exactly these people.
  • Cold start with zero spend: the author is already a small KOL in this circle and borrowed a big group (Sống cùng AI). The first post got 120 shares, which probably brought in the first 1,000 to 2,000 users (inferred).
  • Fast iteration with AI: 5 months from launch to version 12.x, with several releases a week. Downloads, subtitles, auto-scroll, Douyin, comment export, account scanning, CSV, KOC scoring, category saturation, and purchase-intent from comments were layered on one by one. Single free features alone couldn't keep users, so the feature stack did.
  • Localized payments: Vietnamese language, small VND amounts, VietQR bank transfer, no auto-renewal, a 7-day refund, and Zalo 1 for 1 support. Each of these addresses Vietnamese users' fear of being scammed (lùa gà). Compared with Kalodata and FastMoss at tens of dollars a month plus foreign-currency cards, the entry barrier is an order of magnitude lower.

5. Differentiation

Versus Kalodata/FastMoss: it isn't more complete data, it's 'data overlaid directly on the TikTok page + Vietnamese + cheap + local payments + the author answering questions in the community'. Versus global expansions like KOLSprite, EchoTik, and Sort Feed: it adds Vietnam's daily TikTok Shop product rankings (20 categories, viewable on web and mobile), plus commission and saturation data from a seller's perspective.

Is that difference what made it take off? Half of it, yes. The first few thousand users came from one feature, "see your cart on PC", plus the founder's community post, not from the product data. The product-ranking chart, Pro, and the web version were monetization layers added later (sanphamwin's homepage screenshots are dated 10-16 and 11-02, 9–November). So the part worth copying is the order: use a gap the platform leaves open as a free hook, then layer paid data on top of it.

6. Visibility and copycats

  • Visibility: still almost unknown. No public revenue numbers, no media coverage; nothing turns up on X, Reddit, or HN; the author's owned channels total under 10K followers; extops.dev doesn't list it either.
  • Copycats: there are same-period Vietnamese competitors, but none can be called copies. ShortKit (2026-07, Vietnamese developer, 6,000 users) only does downloads. VietTik – Số liệu TikTok Shop (LTC TECH, 2026-11-02 listed, 0 users) shows sales popups on TikTok Shop product pages, overlapping its product-selection focus; it's a local Vietnamese rival that just appeared around November. TikTrend Pro (2026-11-05, English). Overall, the 'Vietnamese-language TikTok Shop product-selection extension' niche is only now getting crowded.

7. What to borrow

  • Find a feature that a platform's web version deliberately or accidentally leaves out (here, the shopping cart / product info on PC), build it as a free extension, and post it in large FB/Zalo groups of the target users, framed as "a free little tool I vibe-coded myself."
  • Use the store name and companion website to grab in-group jargon keywords (e.g. 'sản phẩm win').
  • Make payments 'small prepayments in local currency + QR transfer + no auto-renewal + private chat for big orders', which suits Southeast Asian and Latin American small-language markets without a credit-card habit.
  • Treat the extension as the entry point to paid knowledge and community VIP, not as the only product.
  • Directions that transfer directly: Indonesian, Thai, and Philippine TikTok Shop affiliate, and Brazil's Shopee/TikTok, using the same playbook. The barrier is having people in local communities, not the tech.

8. Still unclear

  • Unknown: how many Pro subscribers there are, and how much revenue they generate; also unknown how Super VIP and website VIP are selling.
  • The 'watch cart videos on PC' capability depends on a TikTok web loophole or interface, and June's fix already happened once (the author mentions it in a post). If it gets blocked again, the free hook is gone.
  • Whether third-party tutorials on TikTok actually recommend it wasn't verified item by item.
  • Where the product data comes from (page scraping or a third-party API) and how accurate it is: unknown.
  • The only visible reviews read like they were written by acquaintances; whether other reviews were solicited was not verified.
  • November 6,000 → 7,000 is an approximate store-counter scale; how much it actually grows per day is unclear.
