# Brazilian lawyers no longer have to download case files one by one: JusDocs's court-system plugin, and a track that is already crowded

**What it is** A Chrome extension used by Brazilian lawyers: in the PJe / eproc court systems you tick case PDFs and import them with one click into JusDocs's AI legal-document generator, open only to subscribers on R$99.90/month and up.

**Why it took off** It hasn't really taken off: 800 users are almost all long-time paying JusDocs customers from ten years of building, the plugin is a hook pushing them to upgrade to the AI tier, and a standard feature added amid Brazil's legal-AI boom.

**C** **How you could follow** Don't build another one in Brazil's legal track. Take "a locked public portal + a thin plugin for one-click import + proprietary templates and data behind it + only paying users get it" and move it to industries with government portals nobody has tackled yet, such as tax, customs filing and public tenders, ideally if you already have a base of paying long-time users.

Grade C: Brazil already has a dozen-plus rivals, the leader MinutaIA has 100k users, browser AI is squeezing from above, and JusDocs's users come from old customers that followers can't reach. What you can learn is the playbook; you only get a chance by switching to a different industry portal. Few people know it yet

808 users · rating 5.0 (7)

JusDocs is a Brazilian legal-document template site that has been running for ten years. In 2026 July it released a Chrome extension: a lawyer opens a case in the court's electronic litigation system and clicks once to send the case-file PDFs to JusDocs's AI document generator. In just over three months 800 users, not many, but every one a paying lawyer. What's worth watching is not the plugin itself but the playbook behind it: attach a plugin to a government portal users must open every day, and pipe the data one click into your own paid product. Below: how it got its users, where the money is, why there are already a dozen-plus rivals, and where this playbook could travel next.

### "No downloading, no copying, no pasting"

On 2026 Sep 9, @jusdocs posted an image-and-text post on Instagram with the cover reading "New plugin: go straight from PJe or e-Proc into JusDocs. No downloading, no copying, no pasting." The first line of the body is a question: "Are you still downloading the files in the case one by one and uploading them to another platform?"

This is something Brazilian lawyers do every day. PJe and eproc are Brazil's court electronic litigation systems, national and viewable only in the browser, with petitions, defenses, evidence and rulings all as individual PDFs. To have AI help write an appeal or defense, you first have to download these PDFs one by one and then upload them to the AI. The JusDocs plugin turns that step into ticking files on the court page and clicking import. The post also specifically notes that importing itself doesn't consume quota; only the pages actually used count toward the "reading quota."

The closing line is the key point: "The plugin is free and open only to JusDocs subscribers."

### What it is and who made it

| Project | Metric | Sources |
|---|---|---|
| Launched | 2026-07-28 | Chrome Web Store |
| users | 808(11-01)→ 832(11-07) | Chrome Web Store |
| Rating | 5.0,7 reviews | Chrome Web Store, 11-07 |
| Recent updates | 8-28, version 1.11.4 | Chrome Web Store, 11-06 |
| Supported systems | Only PJe and eproc | Store description |
| Barrier | Requires a JusDocs account; on the official price list, the plugin is only included in the Profissional tier (R$99.90/month, with the AI generator) and the law-firm plans, not the R$49.90 basic tier | jusdocs.com/precos,11-06 |

It is built by a small Porto Alegre company founded 2015 by two lawyers, Renan Oliveira and Williann Georgi, with no funding record. The contact email on the store page is that of co-founder Williann himself. JusDocs started as a place for lawyers to share document templates (Brazilian legal outlet Conjur covered its "lawyers sharing documents for money" model 2021), and its website self-reports 40k+ templates, 15.8M case-law entries, and "influenced 200k+ lawyers," with a live counter on the homepage showing 2.23M+ documents generated. These are all company self-reports, and their basis is unclear.

### Where the 800 users came from

Almost entirely from JusDocs's own existing users. Without logging into JusDocs the plugin is an empty shell, and even after login you need the Profissional tier or above, so the people installing it are basically lawyers already paying R$99.90/month. The promotion channels we found are also all their own: an Instagram account with about 10k followers that since September has repeatedly posted "free plugin install, subscribers only"; the website puts "import from PJe / eproc" as the first step of the AI generator workflow and even built a landing page for it. We found no media coverage, no discussion on X, and no evidence of ad spend (not finding it doesn't mean it didn't happen).

Growth is flat: 100 days, 800+ people, averaging 8 a day; in the first week of November about 4 a day. Whether it had a launch spike around 7 or August is not visible from outside. Based on 800+ users, the underlying base is probably a few hundred paying customers on the AI tier (estimate).

### The money is outside the plugin

The plugin itself doesn't charge; it's a reason to upgrade: a basic-tier R$49.90 user who wants to skip "download then upload" has to move up to R$99.90. Once installed, lawyers see it in the court system every day, which raises the cost of cancelling. For JusDocs this is worth more than selling the plugin separately.

What really sets it apart from rivals isn't the plugin either. The imported case files get handed to the generator together with those 40k+ templates, case-law library and each user's "writing style profile"; feeding case files into a generic ChatGPT doesn't have any of that.

### Who's competing with it: a dozen-plus, and it ranks mid-table

"Court system → AI one-click import" is no longer new in Brazil. JusDocs itself is a follower.

| Competitors | Launched | Scale | How it differs from JusDocs |
|---|---|---|---|
| MinutaIA Conecta | 2024-08 | 100k users, 4.76 rating | Predecessor was two plugins, PJeIA and EprocIA; supports PJe, eproc, Projudi, e-SAJ, STF, STJ, SEEU, SEI and 9 other systems, with OCR, and the backend connects to GPT, Gemini and Claude at once; promoted on Instagram by legal-tech influencer Bernardo de Azevedo in June |
| PJe✚R | 2021-11 | 90k | An official enhancement plugin from the National Council of Justice, for judges and court clerks, not for drafting lawyers' documents |
| Tramitação Inteligente | 2026-07-07 | 4,000,5.0 ratings | Three weeks earlier than JusDocs, covers only social-security cases (INSS records plus PJe / eproc); its users are 5 times JusDocs's |
| Conecta IA(DireitoHub) | 2026-04 | 613 | Send case files to your own ChatGPT or Claude; not tied to a platform; charged per use |
| Juridiq | 2026-09 | 500 | Two months later, similar scale |
| Citare Autos | 2026-07-25 | 123,3.7 ratings | Launched the same week, doing the same thing, no existing users, only one-seventh of JusDocs's |
| Dilix, Jurify, Auctavium and others | 2026-11-04 | Just launched | In the first week of November they were still appearing one after another |

There are two bigger forces. First, browsers' built-in AI: by late September Brazilian lawyer influencers were teaching on Instagram to read case files directly with Claude's Chrome sidebar, so the "download then upload" step no longer even needs a plugin. Second, Jusbrasil, Brazil's largest legal data platform, has its own Jus IA; we found no evidence it has built this kind of plugin (unverified), and if it does, small platforms will suffer most.

A plugin that lists the case-file PDFs on a page and sends them to your own backend is technically trivial. In 2026, Brazilian legal AI is hot (Enter became a unicorn, and CRIA.AI, Jurídico.AI and others are raising money), and this piece is now table stakes for every player.

### What can be moved is the playbook

JusDocs's plugin itself can't be copied: its users were built over ten years, and the track's leader already has 100k users. But the structure it demonstrates is general:

1. Find a locked public portal: users must open it every day, the data can only be viewed on the web, and there is no good API.

2. Attach a plugin that pipes the data in the portal into your product with one click.

3. The plugin is free and open only to paying users, as an upgrade reason, not sold separately.

4. Put the moat behind the plugin: proprietary templates, cases and industry knowledge. Anyone can copy the plugin.

Brazil's legal niche is already crowded. The same structure works on tax filing, social security, customs declarations, government tenders, patent search and health-insurance billing portals. Many countries have no serious player there yet (inferred, not checked country by country).

### If it were you

**C: Worth learning from, but copying JusDocs isn't worth it.** Brazil already has a dozen-plus legal-portal plugins. The leader has 100k users, and big-tech browser AI is squeezing in from above. JusDocs' own 800 users come from a decade of old clients, which you won't have. What's valuable is the structure: portal plugin + your own AI backend + paid-only access. Apply it to a different industry portal.

**Who it suits** : small teams that already sell paid SaaS in some industry and have a base of existing users, or people who are themselves accountants, customs brokers or tender agents and know which government site needs dozens of manual download-copy-paste steps a day.

**Not for:** anyone looking to enter the Brazilian legal niche as a copycat (you'd be the 15th entrant, with no existing users and no case-law database, so you'd be competing only on price); or anyone building just a browser extension with no in-house AI product or proprietary data behind it (the extension alone can't charge money, and it won't hold off browser-native AI).

**How to do it** : pick the portal first. The criteria: users open it every day, the data is only on web pages with no official API, and users are professionals willing to pay to save time. Keep the plugin as thin as possible, just "tick items on the portal page, send them to your product in one click." The real effort goes into what comes after: industry document templates, cases, rule libraries. Make the plugin free and open it only to paid tiers. Following JusDocs, import shouldn't consume credits; charge only for what's actually used, which lowers the barrier to trying it.

**How to get users** : start by pitching your existing users. A post or short video along the lines of "still downloading and re-uploading one file at a time?" is enough. Demo the whole path from portal to finished draft. Then title the plugin with the portal name plus the feature (JusDocs brands its title with its own name, so people searching "PJe" may never see it), and catch the traffic from people searching the portal name in the Chrome Web Store. PJe's official plugin has 90k users, which shows people really do search by portal name.

**When to get in** : plugins like this in Brazilian law went from MinutaIA's launch in 2024 to crowded by November 2026, about two years. In a different industry portal, the first movers likely get a one-to-two-year window (inferred). The better browser AI sidebars get, the shorter that window.

**What would show you're wrong** : (1) JusDocs' user count is still around 1,000 into early 2027, meaning even a company with existing users can't push it, so "the plugin as an upgrade hook" isn't that effective. (2) Browser sidebars like Claude or Gemini can read a full case file directly and lawyers start using them en masse, MinutaIA's users begin to fall, meaning the "portal → own backend" layer is being eaten by big tech. (3) Conversely, if three or four similar plugins appear on the portal you chose within six months, the window is shorter than you thought, and you need to move first.

Where users come from

- **Confirmed** **Migrating the parent's existing paid users** : the extension requires a JusDocs account and is only included in the Profissional / Escritório plans. The official site puts "import from PJe / eproc" as the first step of the workflow.

- **Confirmed** **Organic content on its own Instagram** : @jusdocs (about 10k followers) and several 2026-09-09 posts promote "free extension install, subscribers only."

- Inferred **Website SEO / content** : a template site running for 10 years, with an extension landing page and blog. Covered by Conjur in 2021.

- Inferred **Paid ads** : not in the metaads library, x-radar shows 0 entries, unverified.

## Why the JusDocs extension (PJe / eproc → JusDocs AI generator) took off

> Channel: Chrome Web Store · ID mdnlkehhocigpcjalljkmphlijngjflb · research date 2026-11-06

### Bottom line

This isn't a new standalone product that took off on its own. It's a plugin from Brazil's long-running legal template site JusDocs (founded 2015, based in Porto Alegre, no funding) that pulls material from court systems into its paid AI generator. The roughly 800 users all come from the parent's existing paid customers and its own Instagram promotion. Its real value is putting a subscription conversion point inside the PJe / eproc pages lawyers use every day. The feature itself is already offered by a dozen-plus Brazilian companies, the largest being MinutaIA Conecta (100k users). JusDocs is not ahead.

Growth: reached 800+ users in 100 days, averaging about 8 per day. In the first week of November it added about 4 per day (808→832). extops has no curve for it, and the library has no reading from before 11-01, so whether there was an early spike at launch is unverified. For a tool priced at R$99.90/month and aimed at paying lawyers, 800+ users roughly corresponds to a few hundred Profissional subscribers using it (estimate, unverified).

### Competitors: "court e-filing system → AI one-click import" in Brazil is already crowded

Data from the chromestore library (2026-11-01 to 11-07), searching terms like PJe / eproc / jurídico, plus web search.

Predecessors were the PJeIA and EprocIA extensions; the parent company claims 100k+ users. Legal-tech creator Bernardo de Azevedo promoted it on Instagram (2026-06-09). It's 100 times the size of JusDocs. |
| PJe✚R (CNJ official) | Chrome | 2021-11 | 90k users | Official enhancement extension from the National Council of Justice. It recently added AI too (Instagram reel DbMAy_Hp-Re). Mainly for judges and court clerks, not for lawyers drafting documents. |
| Tramitação Inteligente | Chrome | 2026-07-07 | 4,000 users, 5.0 / 14 reviews | Launched almost simultaneously with JusDocs. Focused only on social security (INSS CNIS plus PJe / eproc), a narrower vertical. Its users are 5× smaller than JusDocs'. |

| Juridiq | Chrome | 2026-09-26 | 500 / 7 ratings | A legal AI that launched two months later, similar in scale. |
| Citare Autos | Chrome | 2026-07-25 | 123 / 3.7 stars | Launched the same week as JusDocs and does the same thing (captures case files into Citare IA to generate documents). Only 1/7 of JusDocs' size. |
| Jusparse Conecta, PJe Captura, Dilix (11-04), Jurify (11-04), Auctavium (11-04), and others | Chrome | 2026-05 to 11 | 0–200 | In the first week of November they were still appearing one after another. |
| Veredikta | Web page plus extension | 2026-10 | Unknown | 2026-10-28 promotes "direct import from PJe / eproc" on Instagram, with copy nearly identical to JusDocs' September posts. |
| Claude in Chrome / general browser AI | Big-company features | 2025–2026 | Big | A lawyer influencer (Thiago Massicano, 2026-09-30) directly teaches people to read case files with the Claude sidebar, which replaces the "download then upload" step. |
| Jus IA(Jusbrasil) | Web | — | Brazil's largest legal data platform. | No PJe import extension found (unverified). If they build one, it's the biggest threat to small platforms. |

Conclusion: there are many competitors, and JusDocs sits in the middle of the pack. PJe and eproc are nationwide closed portals. Building an extension that "lists case-file PDFs → sends them to your backend" has a low barrier to entry, and by 2026 every Brazilian legal AI company was filling in this gap.

### Growth channels

| Channel | Evidence | Confirmed |
|---|---|---|
| Migrating the parent's existing users | The extension is only useful to logged-in Profissional / Escritório paying users. The store description states "a valid JusDocs account is required." The official homepage places "import from PJe / eproc" as the first step of the workflow. | Yes |
| Self-run Instagram organic content | @jusdocs (about 10k followers, bio reads "+230 mil advogados impactados") 2026-09-09 posted "Still downloading case files one by one and uploading them?", then reused the "Install the extension free... JusDocs subscribers only" copy several times | Yes |
| Website content and SEO | The site has a dedicated extension landing page and blog (e.g. jusdocs-vs-outras-solucoes-ia). Conjur reported in 2021 on the model of lawyers sharing document drafts for income, which shows they built long-term SEO traffic through template pages. | Partial |
| Paid ads | The metaads library doesn't index JusDocs (it only tracks a fixed list of products, so no hits doesn't mean no ads). x-radar has no jusdocs-related posts in the last ~90 days. | No (unverified) |
| Store search | "PJe" and "eproc" are search terms people use in the store (PJe✚R has 90k users), but JusDocs leads with its brand name rather than using "Conecta" as a keyword the way MinutaIA does. | guessing |

### Why it took off

1. The channel is a ready-made set of paying users: the parent company has run lawyer document templates for 10 years, claiming 2M+ documents and 200k+ lawyers reached. On launch day a batch of subscribers who wanted the AI generator installed it, because drafting from case files meant manually downloading PDFs and re-uploading them, and the extension removes that step.

2. It's the paywall hook: the extension is only open to Profissional-tier and above, so its job is to push R$49.90 Básico users up to the R$99.90 AI plan. Users who install it see it in PJe every day, which also makes them harder to lose.

3. Timing: in 2026 Brazilian legal AI was everywhere (Enter became a unicorn, CRIA.AI, Intelijus and Jurídico.AI were all raising). "Case file → AI" became standard, and not building it meant losing ground to rivals like MinutaIA. It's a follower, not a first mover.

4. The 7 reviews are all 5 stars, so reception among engaged paying users is fine, but the sample is too small to count as evidence of product quality.

### Differentiation, and was it the reason it worked?

What sets JusDocs apart from its peers is the content behind it: 40k+ tested lawyer document templates, its own case-law database (15.8M) and a "writing style profile". Imported case files get fed to the generator together with that material, which neither Conecta IA ("send it to your own ChatGPT") nor general-purpose AI like the Claude sidebar can offer. The extension itself has no edge: it only supports PJe and eproc, fewer than MinutaIA's 9, has no OCR or case-file chat features, and trails Tramitação Inteligente, which launched at the same time. The 800 users it got come from the parent company's existing base and content assets, not from anything distinctive in the extension. Going by the library data, it doesn't look like a breakout either, just a stable older company filling out its feature set.

### How visible it is

The extension itself is barely known: no coverage from media or big X accounts, no disclosed revenue, and only promoted on its own Instagram. But this niche is already busy in Brazil's legal-tech circles: MinutaIA has 100k users and was pushed by influencers, and more than ten companies are following, with 3–4 more launched in the first week of November.

### What others can borrow

- A locked public portal, an injected extension and your own AI backend: users open a government or court system every day, and the extension pulls the data out of it into your SaaS in one click. The same play could work on other sector portals, such as tax, social security, customs, procurement, health insurance or patent systems.

- The extension is free but only unlocked for paying tiers, so it's a reason to upgrade rather than a standalone product.

- The real moat has to sit in the proprietary content behind the extension (templates, case law, writing style). The extension alone can't hold it, since anyone can copy it.

### Still unclear

- The user curve in the early days after launch (7–August), and whether there was a single burst of installs.

- The number of Profissional subscribers and the extension's penetration rate. The parent company's self-reported "2M+ / 200k+" figures are unclear.

- Whether JusDocs runs Meta or Google ads (our ad libraries don't track it).

- Whether Jusbrasil's Jus IA has or will launch a similar extension.
