# "Undetectable by proctors": a Hue programmer's Vietnamese answer-picking extension, three TikToks brought in 2,000 students

**What it is** A Vietnamese-language AI answer tool (with an Android version too). On an exam page, press Alt+Q to screenshot it, and within a second or two the answer to the multiple-choice question appears in the corner. No tab switching. Pay per use, top up via VietQR.

**Why it took off** Vietnam's online quiz platforms Azota and Wayground have added tab-switch monitoring, so students want "answers without leaving the exam page". The author posted "undetectable by proctors" videos in Vietnamese on TikTok right before midterm season, claiming the "azota cheat" search slot.

**B** **How you could follow** Pick a language the English products aren't covering (Thai, Indonesian, Filipino, etc.), name the local quiz platform students actually use, sell per use with local QR payment, and make short videos to claim the "<platform name> cheat" search slot yourself, launching before end-of-term exam season.

Grade B: the playbook is clear, one person can build it in a month, and other languages are still open. But price points are measured in cents, traffic only spikes during exam season, growth depends on a single channel that has already stalled at 2,000, and cheating tools can be pulled from the store at any time. Circulating in small circles

2,000 users · rating 5.0 (4)

On Oct 5, 2026, a developer named Nguyễn Hữu Quốc Bảo from Hue, Vietnam posted a video on his TikTok account with 450 followers, titled "Quiz Cheat Tool, kiểm tra gian lận không thể check ra": a quiz-cheating tool that proctors can't detect. By Nov 6, it had 116k views and 1,115 shares. The video promoted QuizPeek, a Chrome extension he had listed in Sep 30: press Alt+Q on a quiz page, and multiple-choice answers appear in the corner within a second or two, no tab switching. A month later, the extension had 2,000 users. What it teaches you is a way to take something already proven around the world and bring it to a small-language market. The cost is that this path sits on the edge of platform policy the whole way.

### What it actually does

The extension does one thing: it captures the visible browser tab, sends it to the author's own backend, and Google's Gemini reads the image and answers the question, with the answer floating in a corner of the page. Alt+A can also auto-click on Wayground (formerly Quizizz). The store listing is restrained: "capture visible tabs for concise study answers", framed as "studying". On TikTok, the author's tags are #cheat and #azotacheat.

The key is "no tab switching". The most common platforms Vietnamese students use for online quizzes are Azota and Wayground, and both are adding anti-cheating: switching tabs, changing windows, and copy-pasting get logged, and Azota has a proctoring mode. The old workarounds, switching to ChatGPT to paste the question or photographing the screen with another phone, either get you caught or are a hassle. QuizPeek puts the answer inside the quiz page itself. That's the "undetectable" hook.

In mid-October the author also released an Android version (100+ downloads on Google Play, 11-06), with a floating capture button; desktop and phone share one Google account and one quota. On Oct 27 he made a post just for this: "thi trên điện thoại chuyển app bị reload trang" (taking the test on your phone, switching apps reloads the page). That post got 63k views.

### Where users came from: the author's own videos, one video outperforming a whole month

No ads, no media coverage, and nothing mentioning it on X in the past two months. Growth came almost entirely from the author's own TikTok @baonhq.se:

| Date | Video | Views (11-06) |
|---|---|---|
| 09-19 | Two pre-launch teasers: "Quizz Cheat" and "Tool check đáp án wayground" | 13k, 12k |
| 09-30 | An install tutorial posted on launch day | 4,006 |
| 10-04 | "Auto Wayground Cheat" | 37k |
| **10-05** | **"Proctors can't detect it"** | **116k views, 1,115 shares** |
| 10-06 | "Extension QuizPeek - Azota cheat" | 14k |
| **10-21** | **"làm bài kiểm tra với QuizPeek thì ngon luôn" (Taking tests with QuizPeek is great)** | **64k** |
| **10-27** | **Taking a test on your phone and every app reloads → use the floating button** | **63k** |
| From ¥10-28 | "If studying is inconvenient, try QuizPeek", coding tips | 300–1,100 per video |

User numbers tracked these three hit videos: according to a third-party extension statistics site, Oct 8 was about 206, Oct 16 about 994, and Oct 29 to 2,000 (this curve is not independently verified). On the store in early November, it had 2,000 and 5 ratings, all 5 stars, version 1.0.10.

Three details are worth noting:

- **Share rate of about 1%** . The 10/5 video had 100 shares per 1 views, far above a typical video. The most likely explanation is classmates passing the cheating tool around in class group chats (an inference; the chats aren't visible).

- **It owns the search results** . Searching "azota cheat" on TikTok, the top result is its Oct 6 video; searching "wayground cheat", it takes 3 of the first 20 results. Videos like "how to beat Azota proctoring" have drawn millions of views over the past 2021 years, so the demand was always there; nobody had connected it to an AI product.

- **The comments are a demand list** . Under the 10/5 video, students ran through every Vietnamese exam platform: "có dủng đc azota ko" (does it work with Azota?), "làm vioedu đi" (do VioEdu), "có lms 360 ko", "có cho kahoot k"; under 10/21 and 10/27 came "vnedu lms đc ko", "k12 online đc koo", "olm đc ko", "Phần mềm seb thì sao" (what about SEB, the secure exam browser), and a long run of "is there an iOS version?". The author replied under 10/5: "Comment what you want, next video I'll show you how."

### Why now

In Vietnam, the school year starts in September, and late October to November is midterm season for the first semester. QuizPeek was listed in Sep 30, and both hit waves landed in mid-to-late October. The author's copy also targets this scene: "Kiếm điểm quá trình quá dễ" (participation points are too easy to get), "Took a multiple-choice test today, forgot to review yesterday, what now?"

Two other developments make it possible for one person to build this: the quiz platforms' tab-switch monitoring makes "answers without leaving the page" a real need, and multimodal models are cheap enough that reading a question image costs a fraction of a cent. Under the 10/21 video someone posted the error "Your account or project has exceeded the quota", the classic sign of Gemini API quota exhaustion, which suggests the backend calls Gemini directly (inference). The whole setup runs on Vercel, with almost no fixed costs.

### Where the money comes from

There are no in-app purchases on the store; the money is on the website quizpeek.io.vn: 10 free uses on first login, then top up by the use.

| Top-up | Uses | Per scan |
|---|---|---|
| 20,000₫ | 150 | About 133₫ |
| 50,000₫ (marked "Popular") | 400 | 125₫ |
| 100,000₫ | 850 | 118₫ |
| 200,000₫ | 1,800 | 111₫ |

Payment is by VietQR code, transferring to the author's personal bank account, and the page checks every 2 seconds for automatic crediting; overseas users pay via PayPal (listed at $2 / $5 / $10 / $20, more than double the converted amount). 20k Vietnamese dong is under 1 US dollars at the exchange rate, less than half a cent per answer, and students don't need a credit card. For comparison, a manual answering service on TikTok ("nhận làm azota") runs about 5,000₫ per 50 questions and makes you wait; QuizPeek is cheaper and instant.

People who want to pay can see it in the comments: under the 10/5 video someone says "giới hạn 20 lượt r" (the usage limit is already used up), and under early videos people ask how to buy more uses. There's the other side too: "free đâu bắt nạp" (it says free, but you have to top up) and "Trả phí ko a" (do you have to pay?). How many people actually paid and how much a month it brought in isn't visible from outside. Estimating from 2,000 users, mostly middle-school students, monthly revenue is probably in the hundreds of dollars (an estimate; no public data).

### Who it's competing with

| Name | Scale (store users) | What's different |
|---|---|---|
| QuestionAI / AnswerAI / SolvelyAI | About 100k each | Global English homework help, subscription, credit card; requires opening a sidebar or website, and doesn't cover Vietnamese platforms or tab-switch detection |
| PhotoSolve, Quizard AI, Quiz Solver AI, etc. | 2–90k | Same screenshot-and-solve approach, English market, subscription |
| QuizLLM(Kahoot / Blooket / Wayground) | 4,000 | English, for US classroom game platforms, no Azota support |
| Wayground Genie / BlookGenie | 906 / 4,000 | Reads platform APIs to highlight answers, more accurate, but only covers these two platforms |
| Quizonator | 7,000 | A Polish version of the same thing; screenshot + AI explanation. Someone has already proven this path in a small-language market |
| Easy Quiz Poly | 10k | An older Vietnamese extension, serving only one school's (FPT Polytechnic) quiz system |
| ChatGPT, Gemini, Google Lens, Gauth | 100M-scale | Requires switching apps or photographing with another phone, exactly the actions that tab-switch monitoring catches |

The English-speaking world already has plenty of these plugins. This one, which is in Vietnamese, calls out Azota by name and takes VietQR payments, is the only one 11-06 can find. The tech itself is no moat: anyone can build a screenshot plus model-API tool. What it actually owns is the Vietnamese "cheating" keyword slot on TikTok, and a creator who posts videos every day.

### It's already slowing down

- **Growth has stalled** . After Oct 27, video views fell back to around a thousand each, and user numbers have stayed at 2,000 since early November. The copy is also moving away from "cheat" toward "studying is inconvenient" and "looking things up on your phone is inconvenient", possibly to dodge TikTok moderation (inference).

- **Delisting risk is real** . Two comments under the 10/22 video say "mất android rồi ah ko tải đc" (the Android version is gone, can't download it). It's visible on Play now, and whether it was ever delisted is unverified. Some students see the problem clearly: "Once it's on the store, the people writing the exams will get it fixed sooner or later." Chrome and Google Play do remove academic-cheating tools, and labeling the listing "study helper" only buys a little time.

- **The other side is tightening up** . The scenarios students ask about most are ones it can't handle: Azota blocking extensions, forced fullscreen, the SEB secure browser, school Wi-Fi allowing only exam sites. Someone also warned: "If the teacher walks over and sees the floating button, you're done."

- **Seasonal only** . Demand follows midterms and finals, and the next peak is likely the finals in late December to January.

### If it were you

**B: You can follow, but you're chasing seasonal small money, and it could be delisted at any time.** This approach (take the already-proven global "AI screenshot answering", translate it into a small language, name the local exam platforms, sell per use with local QR payment, and have the author make short videos to win the "<platform> cheat" search slot) is clear, and one person could build it in a month. The weaknesses are equally clear: low per-customer revenue measured in cents, demand only during exam seasons, a single channel, and both platforms and schools working against you.

**Who it suits:** one or two people whose native language an English-first product doesn't serve (Thai, Indonesian, Tagalog, Turkish, Bengali, and similar), who know the online quiz platforms local students use, who are willing to appear on camera or record screens and post TikToks daily, and who can accept that the product could be pulled from the store any day and they'd have to restart under a new package name.

**Who it doesn't suit:** anyone aiming at the English market (it's already crowded); anyone who needs steady subscription revenue; anyone who minds having their name tied to a "cheating tool". The QuizPeek store page lists the author's real name, address, and phone number. And don't copy it head-on in Vietnam: that search slot is already his.

**How to do it:** first find the two or three quiz platforms local students use most (in Vietnam: Azota, Wayground, OLM, VnEdu), and confirm they have tab-switch monitoring while no local-language AI answering extension exists. Build the product like this: capture the visible page → model answers → the answer floats in the corner and can be hidden with one click; the mobile version uses a floating button and shares the quota with the desktop account; give 10 free uses on first login, then small per-use top-ups via local QR payment (Thailand's PromptPay, Indonesia's QRIS, the Philippines' GCash) that credit automatically. Label the store listing "study helper", but have a plan for delisting: offer direct downloads on your website, and keep accounts and quotas on your own backend.

**How to get users:** start posting screen-recording videos one to two weeks before launch, with titles built from the words students would search ("<platform> + local-language cheat / answers"); collect "does it work with XX platform?" questions in the comments and make the next video about that platform; once a video takes off, immediately post an install tutorial and an FAQ. Don't count on store search or X.

**Deadline:** launch and post the first batch of videos before the finals season. Academic calendars differ by country, so first find out which month local finals fall in, then work backward one month.

**Looks like a miss:** ① On TikTok in the local language, searching "<platform> cheat" already turns up a local AI plugin at the top, so the spot is taken; ② the first few videos don't convert to payments, and the comments only say "is it free?" with no "how do I buy", so this crowd won't pay; ③ QuizPeek and the Android version were officially pulled from Chrome / Google Play within a month or two, and the author can't get back in even after switching accounts, so this path's window is shorter than it looks; ④ On the flip side, QuizPeek saw another wave in Vietnam during finals season, with users climbing from 2,000, which shows demand comes back cyclically with exam periods and is worth going after first in other languages.

### One line

An AI "exam cheating" extension by Nguyễn Hữu Quốc Bảo, an indie developer in Huế, Vietnam: press Alt+Q to capture the current tab → backend sends it to Gemini → the answer to the multiple-choice question appears in the corner in 1–2 seconds; Alt+A auto-answers on Wayground (formerly Quizizz); there's also an Android version with a floating capture button. The pitch is **no switching tabs, no switching apps** , sidestepping tab-switch proctoring on Azota / Wayground. Acquisition is almost entirely the author's Vietnamese-language TikTok, which turned him into the search result for "azota cheat / wayground cheat". Pay per use, VietQR bank transfer, starting at 20k VND.

| Android | com.baonhq1406.quizpeek is live on Google Play; screenshots may be sent to Google Gemini for processing; the recall card says 100+ downloads (the googleplay database didn't capture this app, not verified) | Play page, official site config.js |
| Backend | quizpeek-backend.vercel.app, Google sign-in; the extension and app share one Google account and one quota | Official site config.js |

### How it charges (hardcoded in the official site's config.js)

- First sign-in gives 10 free uses (page header "TẶNG 10 LƯỢT MIỄN PHÍ").

- Top-up packs: 20,000₫ ($2) = 150 uses; 50,000₫ ($5) = 400 uses (375 + 25, labeled "Phổ biến"); 100,000₫ ($10) = 850 uses; 200,000₫ ($20) = 1,800 uses. Base price 133₫ per use (about 0.5 US cents).

- Payment: VietQR transfer to the author's personal ACB account; the front end polls every 2 seconds and credits automatically; overseas goes through PayPal. No subscription, no in-app purchases. The Chrome Web Store in_app_purchases field is empty, which is why paid_signals in our database is empty (a miss, not evidence of free use).

- Willingness to pay shows in the comments: under the 10/4 video, "mìn muốn mua thêm lượt ấy b" (I want to buy more uses) and "mua thêm lượt thì làm như nào"; under the 10/5 video, "giới hạn 20 lượt r" (20 uses already used up).

- Unit economics: a screenshot run through a Gemini Flash-class model costs far less than 133₫, so gross margins are high; the backend sits on Vercel, with near-zero fixed costs (inferred from common practice, the specific model he uses is unverified).

### 1. Why it took off

#### 1. Where users come from: the author's own TikTok, and specifically the "cheating" keyword

TikTok @baonhq.se (nickname baonhq, bio "Tải & Nạp QuizPeek: quizpeek.io.vn", 450 followers, 31 posts, 13k total likes, TikHub 2026-11-06). Sorted by time, views line up exactly with the user curve:

| Date | Views | Likes / shares | Copy |
|---|---|---|---|
| 09-19 | 12,822 | 141 / 44 | Quizz Cheat #wayground #quizizz (pre-launch hype) |
| 09-30 | 4,006 | 76 / 12 | Cách cài tool quiz - QuizPeek (install tutorial posted the day it launched) |
| 10-04 | 36,737 | 683 / 169 | Auto Wayground Cheat - Extension QuizPeek |
| **10-05** | **116,112** | 4,815 / 1,115 | Quiz Cheat Tool, kiểm tra gian lận không thể check ra (proctoring can't detect it) |
| 10-06 | 13,816 | 220 / 77 | Extension QuizPeek - Azota cheat |
| 10-14 | 911 | | QuizPeek now on Android #cheat |
| **10-21** | **64,193** | 3,363 / 687 | làm bài kiểm tra với QuizPeek thì ngon luôn |
| 10-23 | 6,989 | 340 / 37 | Usage tutorials and FAQs |
| **10-27** | **62,563** | 2,545 / 857 | thi trên điện thoại chuyển app bị reload trang (on a phone, switching apps reloads the page → use the floating button) |
| 10-26 ~ 11-06 | Each about 300–1,100 | | Shift to softer copy like "if reviewing is inconvenient, use QuizPeek", mixed in with bits of programming trivia |

- Three days after the 10/5 video (116k views), extops readings reached 206; 10/16 about 994; the 10/21 and 10/27 videos (60k views each) followed up to 2,000. **The three hits (about 240k views combined) account for essentially all of the growth.** No ads, media, X, Reddit or other creator promotion found (x-radar search for "QuizPeek" shows 0 posts in the last 60 days; Jina search only returns its own store page, site and TikTok tabs).

- Share counts are unusually high (10/5 video: 1,115 shares / 116k views, about 1%): students forward it in class groups, the classic "passing a cheating tool between classmates" pattern.

- Searching "azota cheat" on TikTok, the first result is its 10/6 video; searching "wayground cheat", it holds 3 of the top 20 results. These terms have real search demand on TikTok (2021–2022 years ago, videos on "how to beat Azota proctoring" already got millions of views), and the author essentially claimed a long-standing search slot.

- The comment section is the demand pool: "vnedu lms đc ko", "olm đc ko", "k12 online", "onluyen", "does SEB work", "is there iOS", "what about Blooket / Kahoot". Users name-checked every online exam platform in Vietnam, and the author replied in the comments "comment what you want, I'll make a video next time".

#### 2. Why now

- The Vietnamese school year starts in September, and from late October to November is the first-semester midterm exam (kiểm tra giữa kỳ I). It was listed 9/30, and the two hit waves in mid-to-late October lined up with midterm season. Copy like "Kiếm điểm quá trình quá dễ" (process grades are easy to earn) and "forgot to review yesterday, what do I do about multiple-choice today" hits this exact scenario.

- Online quiz platforms are adding anti-cheating: Wayground rolled out tab-switch, window-change and copy-paste monitoring 2026 years ago (videos from TikTok @edtechkyle 2026-02-20 and @mboysband 2026-05-24), and Azota has a proctoring mode and blocking extension. Old methods (switching to ChatGPT and pasting the question, or photographing with a second phone) get caught or are cumbersome, so "get the answer without leaving the exam page" becomes a must-have.

- Multimodal models are cheap and accurate (Gemini reads images and solves math, science and English multiple-choice questions). One person can build it with Vercel + the Gemini API, and the cost is low enough to sell each use for 0.5 US cents.

#### 3. Why people are willing to pay

- The setting is "taking an exam with the score right in front of you", so the urge to pay is strong; the 10 free uses run out quickly, and comments ask directly how to buy more.

- 20k VND (the official site lists $2, roughly $0.8 at the exchange rate) is a low bar, and VietQR scanning is the payment method Vietnamese students know best (no credit card needed), with automatic crediting. For comparison: the manual "nhận làm azota" service on TikTok charges 5k₫ per 50-question file; QuizPeek charges 133₫ per use, cheaper and instant.

- One account and one quota across desktop and phone; many Vietnamese students do Azota / OLM on their phones, and the Android version covers that gap.

| Easy Quiz Poly | Chrome | 2019-06 | 10k users | An old-timer in Vietnam, but it only serves the Quiz system at FPT Polytechnic schools |
| 'nhận làm azota' hand-done service (@chuyn.v.azota, @nhn.lm.azota.vip, etc.) | TikTok account | Always present | Plays in the hundreds to thousands | Manually charged per file (5k₫/50 questions), not instant |
| ChatGPT / Gemini App, Google Lens, Gauth and other photo-scan homework apps | Big-platform features / apps | Years | 100M-scale | You have to switch apps, take a photo, or use another phone, which is exactly the kind of action that tab-switch monitoring catches; it doesn't give answers inside the exam page |
| Wayground AI (official) | Chrome | 2023-10 | 100k users | Made for teachers to write quizzes; it's QuizPeek's opponent |

**None of them is Vietnamese-language, targets Azota, and supports VietQR as an AI screenshot-answer extension** . QuizPeek is the only one in this small niche (based on our database and TikTok search results).

### 3. Differentiation, and whether that's why it took off

1. **Anti-proctoring interaction** : Alt+Q screenshots the visible tab, and answers float in a corner without switching tabs; on Android a floating button, without switching apps (they even made a video about 'the phone exam reloads when you switch any app'). This is the most substantive difference from ChatGPT / Lens / general AI sidebars, and it's also the hook of 10/5's viral video 'proctoring can't detect it'. **It's one of the main reasons it took off** .

2. **Localization** : Vietnamese UI and videos, naming Azota and Wayground, small top-ups via VietQR. Global giants and English cheating extensions won't do VietQR or Azota. **This is what lets it convert and collect money from Vietnamese students** .

3. **Pay-per-use, very cheap** : not a subscription, so students don't need a credit card. This explains why people are willing to pay, not why it's seen.

4. There's no technical moat: screenshot + Gemini is something anyone can build; Wayground Genie, which reads the interface directly, is more accurate. Its real moat is **occupying the Vietnamese TikTok cheating keywords + the author keeps posting videos** .

### 4. How many people know about it

- Revenue isn't public; TrustMRR / X / media have nothing. There's discussion of 0 on X. On TikTok the author's account has only 450 followers, but three videos total about 240k plays, circulating in Vietnamese middle-school circles. → **It's spreading in small circles** .

- Copycats: no direct Vietnamese-language clone found yet. The English-speaking world is already crowded with similar tools (table above).

### 5. Risks and things to watch

- Policy risk: the store listing is deliberately written as 'quick quiz assistance / study answers', but the author's TikTok tags are #cheat and #azotacheat. Chrome / Google Play take down 'academic dishonesty' tools; in the comments someone says 'mất android rồi ah ko tải đc' (Android is gone, can't download), and others worry 'it'll get fixed by the platform sooner or later once it's on the store'.

- Platform countermeasures: Azota blocks extensions, SEB (Safe Exam Browser), forced fullscreen; comments keep asking about these, and the extension approach fails in those scenarios.

- Growth depends on a single channel: after 10/27, video plays fell back to about 1k per video, and the author's copy is also dropping 'cheat' (possibly to dodge TikTok moderation); 11-01 → 11-07 users stuck at 2,000 (chromestore snapshot, but the scale below 10k should be exact, meaning it really didn't grow in a week).

- Seasonality: demand peaks only during midterm and final exam seasons; the next wave is probably the finals from late December into January.

### 6. What others can borrow

- The combination of **small language × local exam platform × local QR payment** : take the globally proven 'AI screenshot answering' into a market that English products don't serve, name the local platforms (Azota, OLM, VnEdu, K12Online types), and sell per-use for small amounts with local QR payments (VietQR, PromptPay, QRIS, Pix). Quizonator (Poland) is a sibling in the same vein.

- **The author appears on camera / records screens for TikTok, grabbing the '<platform name> cheat' search slot** ; post a teaser video before launch, collect demand in the comments, and respond in the next video.

- Desktop extension + Android floating window share one account quota, covering students who take exams on their phones.

- Note: this path naturally runs up against platform policy lines, earns short money during exam season, and you have to weigh the risk of store takedown yourself.

### VII. Uncertain

- The extops curve (206 → 994 → 2,000) comes only from the recall card; our database has no extops readings stored for this id.

- Android download count (the recall card says 100+) and whether it was ever taken down by Google Play are unverified.

- Actual paying users and revenue are completely unknown; I only see purchase intent in the comments and the full payment flow on the official site.

- The specific backend model (the Play page says 'may be forwarded to Google Gemini') and per-call cost are unverified.

- Whether the YouTube channels @Quiz-Peek / @QuizPeekx belong to him is unverified.
