A Philippine GHL moderator posted a free video, and his screenshot plugin got 227 users in a week
What it is A Chrome extension that screenshots the workflow canvas in automation tools like GoHighLevel, one cell at a time, and stitches it into one large image you can send clients. The Pro version is a $9.99 one-time purchase and adds redaction, showcase images for portfolios, and handover docs.
Why it took off GHL can't export workflows as an image, so agencies delivering to clients had to stitch screenshots by hand. The author is a moderator in the Philippine GHL community with a 10k-follower creator audience, and one free video got 23k views and brought in 227 users in the first week.
CHow you could follow Stop building GHL screenshot plugins. Pick a SaaS that has a canvas, has lots of agencies building things for clients, and can't export a full image natively (Make, HubSpot, Salesforce Flow, etc.). Keep the free version focused on capturing cleanly, put the paid version around "hand it to the client," and get a moderator or creator in that community to post it.
631 users · rating 5.0 (7)
BrewedShot is a Chrome extension that captures the full canvas of automation workflows in GoHighLevel, Zapier and n8n and stitches them into one clear long image. It listed in Sep 11, and by Nov 5 had 666 users and a 5.0 rating. The user count is small, but how it gained traction is clear: the need for the plugin is real, yet the same feature was offered free two months earlier and didn't take off. The difference isn't the product, it's who made it.
A 2-minute 46-second video
On Sep 11 2026 afternoon, the Facebook page "Kenneth Villar" (@BrewedOpsHL) posted a 2 min 46 sec video titled "BrewedShot Chrome Extension - GHL Workflow Screenshot 100% FREE". The post text was just a store link plus a line in mixed Tagalog and English saying they also need feedback to improve. By Nov 6, the video had 23k views, 341 reactions and 97 comments (Facebook, 11-06).
The author pinned a reminder in the comments: "When sharing screenshots, recipients need to download the image to see it clearly." That line shows what this crowd uses it for: sending workflow screenshots to clients or bosses.
The effect shows in the store numbers: 51 users the day after listing and 227 in a week (extops.dev curve). A new Chrome Web Store extension gets organic search traffic of usually single digits per day, so this pace could only have come from a one-off push outside the store. It then grew by about 10 a day, steadily, reaching 5 by Nov 666.
On Oct 4 he posted another one-minute video: "BrewedShot PRO is approved", with "Currently: 300+ users" in the post and a final line: "DM me for a discount code, first 25 people." That one got 10k views. A commenter named Khael Mendoza wrote, "I use this every day for real, screenshot tools alone are too hard, thanks boss."
What it is
GoHighLevel (GHL) is an all-in-one SaaS for marketing agencies with a drag-and-drop automation editor: triggers, send SMS, wait two days, add tag... A workflow is drawn on a pannable, zoomable canvas. The problem is that a canvas isn't a web page, so ordinary full-page screenshot plugins only capture the visible part. Once a workflow gets long, showing a client the whole thing means screenshotting it screen by screen and stitching by hand. GHL itself doesn't offer exporting workflows as images.
BrewedShot moves across the canvas one cell at a time, captures each, and stitches them into a single 2x-resolution image, so a 60-step workflow stays readable. The same approach works for Zapier and n8n, and it also includes a regular full-page screenshot (handling sticky navbars, lazy-loaded images and scrolling areas inside the page). These are all free.
Pro is $9.99 one-time, paid via Lemon Squeezy, one key covers 3 computers, with no trial and no refunds (kape.tools/brewedshot-pro, 10-19 version). Pro's extras all revolve around "show the client":
- Redaction editor: blur, mosaic, black boxes, arrows, numbered callouts. Redacted steps are also removed from exported text, not just covered on the image.
- Showcase: drop screenshots into 7 showcase layouts to output 4:5, 1:1 and 16:9 portfolio images for proposals.
- Workflow Playbook: an offline .html file that turns each workflow path into plain-language sentences with zoomable images, for handing off to teammates.
- Copy a workflow as Mermaid code to paste into AI or Miro.
- Stamp your own logo and name on every exported image.
The pricing page also says "Still on the old monthly plan? Manage or cancel here," which shows he tried monthly billing first and then moved to a one-time purchase.
Who is behind it
On his About page, Kenneth Villar writes that he spent 11 years in customer support, most recently as a support specialist at Lightspeed, the retail POS company. He is now a certified GHL admin and a moderator for a Philippine GHL training company called HL Accelerator, running its Facebook group "GHL 4Beginners" (formerly Highlevel Pilipinas) and Discord. HighLevel's official blog says the community has about 15k members. The group is private, so outsiders can't see whether he has posted this plugin there.
He also runs kape.tools, a workspace site for Filipino freelancers (kape is Tagalog for "coffee") with a job board, leads, and a collection of browser tools. BrewedShot and his two other plugins are listed in the free tier.
In other words, the plugin's target users, freelancers and remote assistants in the Philippines building GHL for overseas clients, are exactly the people he answers in his group every day.
Where users come from
- His own Facebook page: 10k followers, videos with 23k total views, which matches the 227 users in the first week. The Pro launch video got 10k views. This is the one source you can directly see.
- The community he moderates: probably, but the group is private and can't be confirmed.
- His own site, kape.tools: BrewedShot is listed in the free tier, and Pro has its own landing page.
- Store recommendations: the detail page sits alongside GHL plugins like Super Cloner and GHL Workflows Maker, which may bring in a few people from the same circle. The volume can't be told apart.
- Not seen: no trace on X, Reddit, Hacker News, TikTok or in the media, and no paid acquisition spotted. 7 ratings for 600 users is a normal ratio.
Who it's competing with
| Product | Where | Scale | Compared with BrewedShot |
|---|---|---|---|
| Workflow Screenshotter(bloomwired.io) | Chrome, open source | User count not checked, probably very small | 2026-07-17 listed, also turns a GHL canvas into one image in one click, free; also built by a Philippine developer. Only supports GHL, no editor |
| Zapier's built-in "Export PNG" | Built into Zapier | All Zapier users | Zapier users could already export images, so BrewedShot's Zapier support is mainly a "works on all three" selling point |
| Pixtex | Web | Nothing found | Paste n8n workflow JSON to render it as an image, n8n only |
| GoFullPage / FireShot / Awesome Screenshot | Chrome | 11M / 3M / 4M users | General full-page screenshot, can't capture a pannable canvas fully |
| Tango / Scribe | Chrome / web | Very large | Records click steps, not one whole workflow image |
| GHL companion plugins like GHL Workflows JSON Exporter | Chrome | A few hundred to 10k users | Same audience, but they export JSON or clone funnels, not images |
The first row matters most. Workflow Screenshotter listed two months earlier, has the same core feature, is free and open source, and its store description is nearly the same line BrewedShot solves: "Regular full-page screenshots only capture the visible part, so long workflows have to be stitched by hand." It didn't take off. BrewedShot did. The feature differences (more support for Zapier and n8n, one extra editor) decide whether money comes in at $9.99, not whether anyone installs it.
Where the money comes from
The only revenue is the $9.99 one-time Pro sale. The author hasn't disclosed sales. Roughly, if 3% to 5% of the 666 users bought Pro, that's about 20 to 35 sales, or a few hundred dollars (estimate). His main business is GHL agency work and training, and the plugin works more like a business card: it gets people in the circle to remember "find BrewedOps for workflow screenshots."
If it were you
In one line: don't build a second GHL workflow screenshot plugin. That space already has two players, and the traction came from the author's standing in the community, which followers can't get. What you can borrow is the angle: "a certain SaaS's canvas can't be captured whole," plus "shared by someone the circle listens to."
Who it suits: people already known in an agency or contractor circle around a specific SaaS, such as community moderators, course instructors, or YouTubers who teach the tool. Or developers who can negotiate revenue share with people like that.
Who it doesn't suit: anyone hoping to earn a living from one plugin. This is a business of a few hundred to a few thousand users at $10 one-time, and it won't support a person. It's also a poor fit for anyone without any community channel who plans to rely on store search for installs, which is exactly why Workflow Screenshotter didn't take off.
How to do it: pick a SaaS that has a canvas and a large base of contractors building things for clients, such as Make.com, HubSpot workflows, Salesforce Flow, Airtable, or ClickUp automations. First confirm it can't natively export a whole image (skip tools like Zapier that already can). The free version does one thing: captures the whole thing, clearly. The paid version follows BrewedShot's approach, with everything around "hand it to the client": redaction, portfolio showcase images, handover docs for teammates, your own logo on exports. State the privacy stance clearly (the free version makes no network calls and screenshots stay local), since contractors logging into client accounts care a lot about this.
How to get users: find the biggest Facebook groups, Discord servers, Skool communities and YouTubers covering this SaaS, and either become an active helper inside them yourself or give the extension to moderators for free so they post about it. Get a few hundred users with 100% free first, then launch a one-time purchase Pro, and DM discount codes to the first few dozen people.
When to walk away: there's no rush, since this kind of need doesn't disappear overnight. The real risk is that the SaaS adds an "export image" button itself. Before you start, check its product roadmap and community feature requests to see whether the vendor has said it's building one.
Signs you've misread it: you find a creator in the circle who posts a video, but only a few dozen people install in the first week. That means the SaaS's contractor community doesn't need whole-image delivery to clients that badly. Or BrewedShot itself stalls around 700 for the next two or three months, which would mean the ceiling is that low even for GHL, the most typical case.

BrewedShot (Chrome extension): why it took off

One line
A long-screenshot extension by Kenneth Villar (BrewedOps), a Philippines-based certified GoHighLevel (GHL) admin. It walks the GHL / Zapier / n8n automation canvas in tiles and stitches them into one 2x sharp, large image, plus regular full-page screenshots. Pro is a one-time $9.99 purchase (Lemon Squeezy), adding redaction/annotation, portfolio display images (Showcase), an offline HTML "Workflow Playbook", and Mermaid export.
Bottom line: it combines "the author is himself an influencer in the target user community" with "a small feature GHL doesn't offer natively." Nearly all users came from the author's Facebook videos to Philippine GHL freelancers/VAs and from the community he moderates, not from store search or paid acquisition. Volume is small (about 630–670 users), and it's barely known outside that circle.

51 people the second day after launch and 227 in the first week. That isn't organic store search speed (new Chrome extensions usually get single digits per day during cold start). It's a one-time external push, followed by steady growth of about 10 users a day, matching the author's ongoing posts and community word of mouth.
2. Competitors
| Competitors | Where | Launched | Scale | How it differs from BrewedShot |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Workflow Screenshotter (bloomwired.io, Philippines-based developer) | Chrome / open source | v1.0.0 2026-07-17 | User count unverified (not in our library, probably very small); GitHub Beeyach/workflow-screenshotter | Only one-click long images of GHL canvases, fully free and open source, no editor. BrewedShot launched two months later but adds Zapier/n8n, full-page screenshots, redaction and Playbook, and has the author's audience behind it. |
| Zapier has built-in "Export PNG" | Big-company features | Already exists (Zapier help docs) | All Zapier users | Zapier users don't really lack this. BrewedShot's Zapier support is mostly there to sell "all three platforms in one tool." |
| Pixtex(pixtex.dev) | Web | 2026 (promoted in n8n community posts) | Not verified | Paste n8n JSON, render to PNG/SVG/PDF. Only covers n8n, must export JSON first |
| GoFullPage / FireShot / Awesome Screenshot | Chrome | 2011–2015 | 11M / 3M / 4M users (chromestore.item) | General full-page screenshot. Canvas-style pages (panning/zooming inside) can't be captured fully. BrewedShot's author describes it as "workflow screenshot + like GoFullPage." |
| Tango / Scribe | Chrome / web | Years | Big | Records click-by-click SOPs, not a single image of the whole workflow |
| GHL-adjacent extensions (GHL Workflows JSON Exporter 497 users, Workflow Importer/Exporter 207 users, GHL Cloner 10k users, etc.) | Chrome | 2025–2026 | See left (chromestore.item) | Tools for the same GHL agency/VA users, but they do JSON export or funnel cloning, not images |
Key point: GHL itself doesn't export workflows as images (n8n community has people asking for this for a long time). It's a real but narrow gap. The most direct rival, Workflow Screenshotter, launched two months earlier and is free and open source, yet never took off. The difference is mainly distribution.
3. Where users come from
- Author's Facebook videos (confirmed): Kenneth Villar (@BrewedOpsHL, 10k+ followers) posted "BrewedShot Chrome Extension - GHL Workflow Screenshot 100% FREE" with 23K views and 341 reactions. Later, the "BrewedShot PRO approved" video got 10K views and 142 reactions, and the post self-reported "Currently: 300+ users" and said "DM me for a discount code, first 25." There's also a separate Pro demo video. Source: public posts at facebook.com/BrewedOpsHL (scraped via Jina).
- The GHL Philippines community he moderates (highly likely): kape.tools/about says he is a moderator of HL Accelerator (founded by Cece Tan), running the GHL4Beginners (formerly Highlevel Pilipinas) Facebook group and Discord. HighLevel's official blog says the community is about 15k people. The group is private, so I couldn't directly view posts and couldn't verify whether he posted there.
- Own site Kape Tools / BrewedOps community (confirmed): kape.tools is a "one-tab" workspace he built for Philippine freelancers (job board, leads, 40 browser tools). The free tier lists three of his own extensions: Kape Clipper, BrewedShot, and BrewedYT2Text. BrewedShot Pro has its own landing page.
- Store search / related recommendations (weak): in the store's related extensions, it sits alongside Super Cloner, GHL Workflows Maker and other GHL tools. It may get some organic traffic from this.
- Not found: no trace of it on X (x-radar, 90 days, 0 posts), Reddit, HN, media, or TikTok. No sign of paid acquisition (rating count to user ratio is 7/631, normal).
4. Why it took off
- The need is real and specific: when VAs and GHL admins deliver to clients, write SOPs, or prepare proposals, they have to turn a whole workflow into one image. Canvases don't capture well in a single shot, so they stitch by hand. GHL doesn't support image export natively.
- The author is the top of that circle: a certified GHL Admin, community moderator, and Philippine GHL creator with 10k followers. One free video reached over 20k views, and the first week's 227 users came from it.
- Free first, then paid: launched 100% free to build 300+ users, then added Pro. Pro is a one-time $9.99 (he tried monthly first, then switched to one-time), with "first 25 discount code by DM" to drive conversion. It suits Filipino VAs who are sensitive to subscriptions.
- Features fit the delivery workflow: redaction (for client data), Showcase (portfolio/proposals), Playbook (handing off to teammates), and Mermaid (for feeding into AI) all address "show it to clients/employers" needs, not a generic pile of screenshot features.
5. Differentiation
Versus general long-screenshot tools: it captures the "canvas," not the "page." It pans across tiles and stitches them, so a 60-step workflow stays readable at 2x. Versus the one direct rival, Workflow Screenshotter: it adds Zapier/n8n, full-page screenshots, and delivery-focused Pro editing. But these differences aren't the main reason it took off. The rival can also capture GHL canvases, launched earlier, and is free. The real difference is that the author has distribution into the target community. Product differentiation determines whether it can earn $9.99.
6. How many people have seen it
Few people know about it yet: no media, no X discussion, no TrustMRR listing, and the author hasn't shared revenue. It only circulates in Philippine GHL freelancer Facebook groups. Similar tools exist (Workflow Screenshotter), but that one came first, so this isn't a copycat. I found no sign of it copying anyone.
7. What to borrow
- "A SaaS's canvas/board can't be captured" is a replicable angle: Make.com, HubSpot workflows, Airtable interfaces, Miro, Salesforce Flow, and more. Each has a group of contractors and agencies who must deliver screenshots to clients.
- But building the tool alone isn't enough. You need to find, or be, someone with influence in that circle (community moderator, course instructor). BrewedShot's playbook: publish a free version and posts in the community → gather a few hundred users → launch a one-time Pro → convert via discount codes sent by DM.
- Privacy messaging (zero network requests in the free version, redaction also removes exported text) is persuasive to VAs who operate client accounts.
8. Uncertain
- Actual Pro paying users and revenue: no public data. Unknown how many of the 7 ratings come from community acquaintances.
- Whether it was promoted in the GHL4Beginners private group and how it was received there: unverified.
- Retention: Chrome user count is installs, and activity is unknown. Whether growth can break out of the Philippine circle (e.g., reach the English GHL official groups) is unknown.
- Workflow Screenshotter's user count was not retrieved.
