An AI streamer open-source repo with 9 days and 1,300 stars: gaining 120 stars every day like clockwork, a fork every 100 minutes
What it is: an AI live-streaming host that runs on a single server: voice cloning, a digital-human avatar, automatic replies to danmaku (live comments), memory stored as a folder of Markdown files, posting on its own, and going live on its own in Binance Square.
Why it blew up: it didn't. Stars grow steadily at +120 per day, and forks come from freshly registered gibberish accounts on a timer, sharing a pool of star-farming accounts with a dozen other repos. Real attention is limited to a small circle of a few hundred people on Chinese crypto X.
DHow to ride it: don't copy the whole project; pull out the most interesting piece (a Markdown folder as agent memory and persona, plus a SETUP.md for AI to read) and ship it as a small library that plugs into any agent or projects like airi, then have a live agent post updates daily to earn stars.
- Data (updated daily) · Repo created 2026-10-28 · 1,457 stars · 7 days +874
GitHub · stars Data 2026-10-29 → 2026-11-08 (11 days, 11 observations). Points before 10-28 come from deeply / archive backfill, not every day has one
open-yoki is the open-source base of "yoki酱", an AI streamer on Binance Square. 10-28 created the repo, and 11-06 it has 1,333 stars. It looks like an open-source project that's gaining traction, but once you take it apart, the star curve, the fork timing, and the look of the fork accounts all suggest most of those stars were bought. Only two or three things are actually worth studying: the live-streaming arena it picked, the "brain" it built from a folder of Markdown files, and the lesson it teaches everyone who chases stars for an opportunity.
A live stream by 98 people
On the morning of Oct 22, the X account @Yokiiio22 (its bio says "run by real people mixed with digital humans", and the page is labeled Automated by @Jacke_pp) posted:
Last night 98 people chatted with me for two hours, 360 danmaku came in and I replied to 346 of them, thank you all 💛 Today my husband fixed three things for me… Now when I go offline, music plays too, and the song lowers itself when I talk. Type "点歌" (request a song) in the danmaku and you can pick one.
This post got 928 views. The next post says that starting today she will trade contracts with 100U of real money. Trades and profit/loss will tick live in the lower-left corner of the screen, and "none of your calls count".
Six days later, on Oct 28 UTC 08:58, the author @Jacke_pp created open-yoki on GitHub. 8 minutes later, yoki酱 posted: "I'm open source now… more than a month, 6B tokens, 187 versions, and the most stable v150 is out. Hand it to your own AI and it will help you build a host that streams on its own. Search open-yoki on GitHub." It tagged CZ, He Yi, and several Binance Chinese operations accounts, and the last line was "see you at Binance Square tonight".
That's yoki酱's entire real reach: about 237 followers on X, and a stream draws a few dozen to a hundred people. The biggest exposure before the open-sourcing came when the Chinese crypto KOL @SuperL9 10-17 posted praise: "Binance Square's AI digital-human stream, yoki酱 can even read comments in real time." It got 16.6K views and 43 reposts, and Binance's Chinese operations account @yingbinance replied "I'm so impressed".
What it is
An AI live-streaming host that runs on a single server, written for Binance Square:
- The voice is cloned with Volcano Engine (Doubao), and the avatar is a real-time digital human rented from Vidu.
- Danmaku replies are handled by a fast model (OpenRouter / DeepSeek).
- The "heart" is an agent running on Claude Code or DeepSeek. Memory, diary, and queued posts are all stored as Markdown files.
- It automatically posts updates to Binance Square and X, a headless Chrome renders the picture, and ffmpeg pushes the RTMP stream. It goes live and offline on a schedule by itself.
- The repo has a SETUP.md, written for an AI to follow when setting it up, not for people.
The open-source version is cut from yoki 10-24 running v150, with the avatars, voice, and all money-related features (wallet, trading) removed. 10-28 made 3 commits in one day and hasn't touched it since.
Where the stars came from
First, daily stars (GitHub, 10-29 to 11-06):
| Date | stars | Gained that day | fork |
|---|---|---|---|
| 10-29 | 240 | — | 1 |
| 10-30 | 340 | +100 | 21 |
| 10-31 | 466 | +126 | 29 |
| 11-01 | 583 | +117 | 39 |
| 11-02 | 706 | +123 | 46 |
| 11-03 | 830 | +124 | 54 |
| 11-04 | 950 | +120 | 62 |
| 11-05 | 1,073 | +123 | 70 |
| 11-06 | 1,204 | +131 | 72 |
A project that got boosted by big accounts usually shows a curve that spikes and then decays. This one is a straight line, around 120 every day, like a quota-paced drip.
Now the forks. Of the 74 forks GitHub lists, most land at these UTC times each day: 00:02, 01:42, 03:22, 05:02, 06:42, 08:22, 10:02. The gap is exactly 100 minutes, and it has repeated like that every day for 10-30 to 11-04 days. Within 10-29 13:34:48 to 13:35:34,46 seconds, about 20 forks came in.
I randomly opened 9 forking accounts (lucifendonabeet, stavomcnottoste, rubleorfelmayang, petcongallon…). All were registered between 2026-06 and 09, with 0 followers, 0 following, and 1–4 repos, and their names look like gibberish. The repos they starred overlap heavily: Orkas-AI/Orkas, Edge0-AI/Edge0, monid-ai/monid, several tigerless-labs repos, openJiuwen-ai/jiuwenswarm, and a dozen others with 5k–10k stars, plus open-yoki. Same group of accounts, same star-farming service.
The author's other repo, ai-wallet-binance (created 10-25, 308 stars, 5 forks), grew in exactly the same way. The author's GitHub account was registered 2026-08, and has 2 followers.
Only 5–10 of the forks look like real people (e.g. an account registered in 2015 that forked it the same day as 10-28). We can't check which stars came from real people one by one, but our guess (an inference) is that they're a small share. Later, a gitcode mirror auto-generated a deployment guide on CSDN (11-03), and a GitHub repost account posted about it on Instagram. Both happen automatically once a repo passes a star threshold, so they don't prove anyone is actually using it. Nobody has written about it on HN, Reddit, or V2EX.
So what is the star count for?
Inference: the stars are meant to lend trust to the author's other ventures in the Binance ecosystem. The README and yoki's posts tie three things together into one line: the open-source repo; TwinOasis (a "only AI can post" 3D world that uses Binance Square accounts to claim identities, with yoki酱 as its "guardian", and whose currency is also called yoki酱); and agentidlive.ai (where she trades with real money through the Binance Agent wallet). The open-source version removes exactly the wallet and trading parts, so the author's real business is likely over there: Agent wallets, launchpad sniping, TwinOasis, plus Binance Square creator incentives and live-stream tipping. How any of this makes money, and how much, isn't visible from outside (unverified).
Who it's competing with
The open-source AI streamer / AI VTuber space is already crowded, and the leaders have tens of thousands of stars:
| Project | stars (approx.) | How open-yoki differs |
|---|---|---|
| moeru-ai/airi | 51k | General-purpose AI companion / VTuber, multi-platform, active community; doesn't touch Binance Square |
| duixcom/Duix-Avatar | 16k | Offline digital-human cloning for making videos, not live streaming |
| Open-LLM-VTuber | 14.6k | Local voice + Live2D desktop companion, does not auto-stream |
| xszyou/Fay | 13.6k | General digital-human framework; can be used for sales or as an assistant |
| lipku/LiveTalking | 10.3k | DIY lip-sync model for real-time digital humans |
| Ikaros-521/AI-Vtuber | 4.6k | AI live streaming that plugs into Bilibili, Douyin, and Kuaishou danmaku; the closest match, but no long-term memory and no automatic posting |
What sets open-yoki apart is that it's built specifically for Binance Square (streaming, posting via the Square OpenAPI, a market panel), plus a Markdown-based long-term memory. That positioning is rare, but it has nothing to do with the 1,333 stars.
What can be taken from it
- Pick a live-stream slot a platform is pushing but nobody is filling yet. Binance Square is pushing live streams and giving AI hosts traffic. One person plus one AI host can go live every night with almost no competition. That's real for crypto creators, but it does little for open-source stars.
- A Markdown folder as memory, Claude Code as the "heart". Cheap, easy to tune, easy to explain. This is the part of the project most worth turning into a standalone small library.
- SETUP.md written for AI, not for humans. "Hand this to your own AI and it'll set everything up" is a new README style, suited to projects with many dependencies and long config.
- Write the iterations as the host's diary. "Today my husband fixed three things" beats a changelog by a mile.
- Counter-example: before picking an opportunity from stars, check the fork timestamps and the account registration dates. Star farming is easy to spot: scheduled forks, gibberish throwaway accounts, one account starring a pile of repos, and a flat-line curve.
If it were you
Verdict: Don't copy it. Its 1,300 stars were bought, and they don't prove anyone wants an "AI host for Binance Square" open-source project. If you want stars on the AI host path, your competition is airi, at 50K stars.
Who it's for: developers already writing long-term memory for agents, or building live-stream / digital-human tools, who want to carve out a small, clear piece.
Who it's not for: anyone hoping to get stars by building "yet another AI VTuber suite" (the leaders are too big), or anyone copying the Binance Square positioning (real users are a small slice of Chinese-speaking crypto people, and it requires plugging into several paid cloud services, a high bar that few people clear).
How to do it: If you follow this, carve out just one piece: a small library where "a Markdown folder is the agent's memory / persona", pluggable into Claude Code, Codex, or any agent, with a SETUP.md written for AI that runs in five minutes. Or build the layer airi and Open-LLM-VTuber haven't nailed, "auto-live + keep running the social accounts after the stream ends", as a plugin for them.
How to get stars: Use a host or agent that's really running as a live ad, posting "what I fixed today" daily like yoki does. Show up as a plugin in the airi and Open-LLM-VTuber communities. Post on HN as "Show HN" and V2EX, not just within a small crypto circle.
When to move: Small agent-memory libraries are a hot topic right now, so the earlier the better. If you can't build buzz within three months, don't keep sinking time into it.
Signs you've read it wrong: ① After open-yoki stops its steady star climb, real-person issues, PRs, and working deployment posts appear, which means there's real demand behind it. ② Binance Square announces a support program or traffic data for AI hosts, and accounts like yoki酱 reach thousands of concurrent viewers, which would make "platform-specific AI hosts" worth another look. ③ The reverse: if airi and friends ship long-term memory plus auto-run social accounts first, the window for carving out this piece closes.
Last line: An open-source project gaining exactly 120 stars every day isn't trending. Someone is paying for it.

Why jacke-pp/open-yoki "took off"
Research date 2026-11-06. Data sources: our GitHub database (repo_profile / repo_day, as of 2026-11-06), live GitHub API queries (forks lists, fork account profiles, repos those accounts starred), Jina search / web reads (X posts, yokichan.com, CSDN, like.do). Searching our local x-radar corpus for Jacke_pp / open-yoki / yoki酱 / TwinOasis returned 0 results each.
Bottom line
open-yoki is the open-source base of yoki酱, an AI host on Binance Square (with the avatar, voice, and wallet features removed), built by one person (X @Jacke_pp). Its 1,333 stars (11-06 on GitHub live) are largely manufactured: it gains roughly 120 stars a day, almost constantly; nearly all forks come from 2026-06~09 registered, 0-follower accounts with gibberish names, and the fork times hit fixed beats; those same accounts also star a dozen or so other repos in a "star farming pool". The real attention is a small circle on Binance Square and Chinese crypto X. The author's other repo, ai-wallet-binance (308 stars), follows the same pace. This doesn't look like a product that "took off"; it looks more like traffic for yoki酱, TwinOasis, and the author's Binance-ecosystem agent projects.
1. What it is
- README: an AI live-stream host that runs on a single server. Voice cloning (Volcano Engine Doubao) + Vidu real-time digital human + a fast model for danmaku replies (OpenRouter/DeepSeek) + a "heart" run by Claude Code / DeepSeek (memory, diary, and posts to publish, stored in a Markdown folder) + automatic posts to Binance Square / X + a headless Chrome for the visuals, with ffmpeg pushing RTMP, so it starts and ends streams on its own schedule. The main scenario is Binance Square live streams.
- The code is a snapshot of yoki 10-24 running v150. 10-28 had 3 commits in one day and none afterward (GitHub API commits).
- Every step drives traffic to TwinOasis (the 3D AI world where only AIs can post, which the author is building, with yoki酱 as its currency) and to yoki itself.
2. Competitors
| Name | Where | Launched | Scale | How open-yoki differs |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| moeru-ai/airi | Open source | 2024-12 | 51,157 stars | General AI companion / VTuber (Neuro-sama style), multi-platform, active community; no Binance Square tie-in, no market data |
| Open-LLM-VTuber | Open source | 2023-11 | 14,609 stars | Local voice dialogue + Live2D, leans toward desktop companionship, no auto-start or stream-operations layer |
| xszyou/Fay | Open source | 2022-06 | 13,608 stars | Digital-human framework, usable for sales and assistants; open-yoki only targets crypto streams |
| lipku/LiveTalking | Open source | 2023-12 | 10,303 stars | Real-time digital human (self-trained lip-sync model); open-yoki rents Vidu cloud directly |
| duixcom/Duix-Avatar | Open source | 2024-12 | 16,253 stars | Offline digital-human cloning for video; not a live-stream agent |
| Ikaros-521/AI-Vtuber | Open source | 2023-03 | 4,593 stars | AI live streaming connected to Bilibili, Douyin, and Kuaishou danmaku, closest to open-yoki, but without Binance Square or the "heart / memory / posting" layer |
| handcrafted-persona-engine | Open source | 2025-03 | 1,396 stars | Persona engine combining Live2D and voice |
| Other AI hosts on Binance Square (such as the "Hound AI host" @听澜321) | Other | 2026 | Not verified | Closed-source, runs as an operations account |
| Live-stream digital-human SaaS like HeyGen, D-ID, and Silicon Intelligence | Other | Already around | Big | Paid SaaS, not open-source |
Bottom line: the open-source AI host / AI VTuber space is already crowded, with the leaders at tens of thousands of stars. open-yoki's only difference is that it focuses on Binance Square (streaming, posting via the Square OpenAPI, a market panel, the things Binance is promoting), plus a long-term "heart" stored in Markdown.
3. Where the stars come from: the evidence points to star farming
- The curve is too flat: daily star gains from repo_day: 10-30 +100, 10-31 +126, 11-01 +117, 11-02 +123, 11-03 +124, 11-04 +120, 11-05 +123, 11-06 +131. There's no shape of an ordinary project spiking one day after a big account shares it and then decaying. It looks like steady delivery against a quota (our repo, 2026-10-29~11-06).
- Scheduled forks: of the 74 forks listed by the GitHub forks API, most fall at the daily points 00:02, 01:42, 03:22, 05:02, 06:42, 08:22, and 10:02 (UTC), spaced exactly 100 minutes apart, and this holds for several days in a row (10-30~11-04). 10-29 about 20 forks landed within 13:34:48~13:35:34 46 seconds.
- The accounts are throwaways: a random sample of 9 fork accounts (lucifendonabeet, stavomcnottoste, rubleorfelmayang, seventisteronizz, petcongallon, bedterbay, nousedy, 4smartbrallaama, barziltogrovanuf) were all registered between 2026-06-30 and 09-28, with 0 followers, 0 following, and 1–4 repos, and gibberish names.
- The same star-farming pool: the repos these accounts starred overlap heavily: Orkas-AI/Orkas, Edge0-AI/Edge0, monid-ai/monid, tigerless-labs/autoharness / agent-memory / cost-xray, openJiuwen-ai/jiuwenswarm, dataelement/dsh-desktop, deeplethe/sandstorm, Murea-Labs/InWorld, yeqv111/mccarbon, plus jacke-pp/open-yoki. That suggests open-yoki used the same star-farming service as this batch of repos with 5K–10K stars.
- The author: GitHub account registered 2026-08, 2 followers. ai-wallet-binance created 10-25, 308 stars, 5 forks. It also shows the "sudden appearance" plus steady star climb pattern (our repo).
- The suspect column in our database is empty: its rules (batch-identical descriptions, zero forks, etc.) can't catch this "fork-and-star farming" pattern.
- A few forks that look like real people: Tryking (a 2015-year-old account, 10-28 16:02 forks), seigneurtsui, zengliny, lunar-me, focus883, and so on, roughly 5–10 accounts.
Note: this time GitHub's stargazers endpoint returned 404 for every repo (torvalds/linux too), so we couldn't inspect the starring accounts one by one. The above is inferred from the fork accounts.
4. Real attention
- yoki-chan itself: X @Yokiiio22 has 236–237 followers, and the bio says "Twitter run by a mix of real people and digital humans." 10-22's post says "98 people chatted with me for two hours last night, I replied to 346 of 360 danmaku," and this one got 928 views. I didn't capture the view count for the 10-28 open-source announcement ("6 billion tokens and 187 versions… Search open-yoki on GitHub").
- Crypto KOL @SuperL9 (Wick Li)10-17 posted praise: "Binance Square's AI digital-human livestream, yoki-chan can even read comments in real time," 16.6K views, 43 reposts, and tagged CZ, He Yi, and several Binance ops accounts; Binance's Chinese ops account @yingbinance replied "I'm so impressed." This is the biggest exposure found before the open-source release.
- Creator @Jacke_pp's livestream post: 535 views.
- Passive spread: CSDN has a deployment guide auto-generated by a gitcode mirror (11-03), Instagram has reposts from GitHub-scraper accounts, and like.do added it to its index. These are the kind of auto-reposts that happen once star counts are high enough; they don't show real usage.
- No write-ups found on HN, Reddit, V2EX, or major tech bloggers; 0 mentions in the x-radar corpus.
5. Growth tactics broken down
- Star and fork farming (confirmed): GitHub stars inflated into "social proof" to back yoki-chan / TwinOasis.
- Binance ecosystem KOLs and ops (confirmed, small scale): yoki livestreams on Binance Square every night, Chinese crypto KOLs praised it, and Binance ops accounts engaged with it.
- Product self-promotion (confirmed): the README and yoki's posts tie together the open-source library, TwinOasis (a square where only AI can post, claimed through Binance Square accounts), and agentidlive.ai (where she trades real money with Binance Agentic Wallet).
- Where the money comes back (inferred, not verified): the open-source release strips out "all money-related features." The author's real business sits inside the Binance ecosystem: Agent wallet and launchpad sniping (ai-wallet-binance), TwinOasis and the "yoki-chan" token, and Binance Square creator incentives / livestream tipping. Stars are there to build trust for these.
6. Differentiation
"A full AI host kit built for Binance Square" + "a heart that remembers over time and posts on its own" + "SETUP.md written for AI to follow." The positioning is genuinely rare (no competitor does Binance Square streaming plus the Square OpenAPI), but it is not the source of the stars: the stars have nothing to do with these differentiators; they were bought. Real demand exists only in the very small circle of "crypto creators who want to earn traffic from AI livestreams on Binance Square."
7. Takeaways
- Pick a livestream venue the platform itself is pushing and that still lacks content (Binance Square livestreams have incentives and give AI hosts traffic), run it with a "one-person" AI host approach, and there is almost no competition.
- Use a Markdown folder as the agent's long-term memory and personality, with Claude Code as the "heart": low cost and easy to tune.
- Treat operations as content: "Today my husband fixed three things for me" and "replied to 360 danmaku with 346 sentences": write the iteration process up as the host's diary and posts.
- A cautionary example: star farming is easy to spot (scheduled forks, gibberish alt accounts, one account starring a pool of repos). If you pick opportunities by star count, check the fork timing pattern and the account registration dates first.
8. Still unclear
- How many real humans starred it (the stargazers endpoint is unavailable); estimated to be a very small share.
- yoki-chan's real concurrent viewers and tipping income on Binance Square (she posted a "10,000 views" screenshot herself, source @Yokiiio22, unverified).
- Whether TwinOasis and the "yoki-chan" token will launch or have other ways to collect money.
- Whether the author bought the stars or whether a star-farming service "nurtured" the account on the side (the latter is unlikely: the timing starts exactly the day after the author's posts).
