A third wave is free-subscription hacks: worldonlyu/Google_AI_Pro_2Year_ZeroCost_Auto hit 2,185 stars and 921 forks in 2 days, and mmdoctor/google-pro-helper hit 813 stars in 2 days. It's the same logic as the Codex AI apps that ride on a famous name.
