A $29 bottle of lymphatic detox capsules, and the 'Alice' who texts you after you order: True Nutra makes its money from the funnel
What it is A US Shopify supplement store, leading with a buy-one-get-one lymphatic detox capsule at $29 per bottle, plus about ten other SKUs including blood sugar, D3K2, and magnesium.
Why it took off Lymphatic detox is trending on social media, and the brand is running nearly 2,000 video ads on Meta at once. Most of the sudden ranking jump came from an old domain being transferred over, but US traffic really did climb from the top 100k sites to the top 50k.
CHow you could approach it Don't build another lymph capsule. Copy the funnel instead: pick an audience or country nobody's hammering yet, put a cheap front-end offer in place with add-ons after checkout and a subscription option, keep SMS follow-ups to answering questions and recommendations only, and make cancellation clean.
Global rank 281k · 90 days ago, top 1M+
True Nutra is a US supplement webshop pushing a "6-in-1 Lymphatic Detox Capsule." Anyone can make capsules; Amazon has dozens of white-label brands with the same formula. What makes it scale is three things: nearly 2,000 live ads on Meta, a long chain of upsell pages after checkout, and a customer rep called Alice who texts you the same day to push you toward more bottles and a subscription. Below, section by section: what it sells, where the traffic comes from, how the money comes back, who's competing, and whether you can follow.
Alice texts you the moment you check out
Early November, a customer named Lucas left a five-star Trustpilot review: "Ordering was easy, and that same day an agent named Alice messaged me, gave advice, and offered a sweet discount." The same week, another customer, Donna Hancock, wrote: "I didn't expect a real person to reach out, and she actually cared what my health goals were."
The one-star reviews feature Alice too. One customer wrote: Alice first texted asking whether she lived in an apartment or a house, then asked if she had trouble falling asleep or staying asleep. She replied "both," Alice said "that's the worst combo," then told her the total was $199, not $349, and sent a $150 gift card. "I didn't ask to buy anything. Where did this $199 come from?"
The same Alice has generated 1,269 reviews and a 4.6 rating on Trustpilot (11-06), alongside complaints about being secretly enrolled in subscriptions and still being charged after cancelling. That's how this business runs.
What it sells
truenutra.com is a Shopify store. The backend store name is still babybuff, a maternity brand it evidently started as before switching to supplements. The earliest product in the store was created in May 2025, initially selling circulation and men's health products. In late September 2025, the lymphatic detox capsule's ad landing page went live, and by 2026 it had become the flagship. The store now carries ten-odd other SKUs: blood sugar, D3K2, B vitamins, magnesium gummies, liquid NAD and more.
The flagship product page (opened 11-07) looks like this:
- Under the headline it promises to help with "bloating and water retention, improving cellulite, balancing hormones and cortisol, and making skin glow";
- "SOLD OUT 5X" (sold out 5 times);
- Original price $70, crossed out; single bottle $29, buy one get one, buy two get two;
- "Save 60% with subscription," plus a "6-week commitment challenge": take it every day for 6 weeks and you're entered to win "lifetime supply";
- A countdown at the bottom: "Order within 14 min 47 sec," "Only 14 left."
- In the FAQ, "Any side effects?" gets a single-word answer: "No."
The formula is burdock, dandelion, kelp, cleavers, rutin, and bromelain, identical to a pile of same-named white-label products on Amazon.
Why it suddenly showed up
First, an illusion. truenutra.com's global rank jumped from outside the top 90M to around 1k over 280 days, which looks like a sudden breakout. In fact the brand used to run on mytruenutra.com, which by May 2026 was already in the global top 1M and US top 100k. Afterward mytruenutra.com, hellotruenutra.com and truenutrahealth.com all 301 redirected to truenutra.com (11-07 checked), and the old domain fell from 640k to 940k over the same period. Much of that ranking jump was a domain move.
Taken together, though, traffic did grow. By Chrome's real-user bands, the brand moved in the US from the "top 100k sites" tier up to "top 50k" (2026-09), entered the top 50k in Canada, and for the first time reached the top 500k in the UK, France, Italy, Spain and the Netherlands.
Two reasons for the growth:
- The category is riding a wave. "Lymphatic drainage and de-bloating" was pushed by the lymphatic drainage trend on TikTok. A Reddit post asked why lymphatic detox ads were suddenly everywhere, naming True Nutra specifically.
- Heavy ad volume. See next section.
Where the users come from: nearly 2,000 ads, a few hundred likes
In Meta's ad library, its page "My True Nutra" is currently running 1,969 ads (11-01), 1,972 ads (11-03) and 1,712 ads (11-06), 2,862 in total including paused ones. The page has only 573 likes and its category is listed as "Gifts / Jewelry & Watches," suggesting an old page repurposed for this. Few likes, many ads: a textbook paid-traffic account.
About 86% of the ads are video, running across Facebook, Instagram, Messenger, Threads, WhatsApp and the Audience Network. There are essentially two copy lines: "Buy one get one! True Nutra's 6-in-1 lymphatic complex is unlike anything you've tried," and for the blood sugar product, "Blood sugar stable, cravings gone." They're testing not copy but creative volume, running thousands of videos to find which audiences buy. Its real paid start came much earlier: a Facebook video from about 8 months ago is titled "Why are they suddenly shoving D3-K2 in our faces…", suggesting it was already pushing D2026K3 heavily in early 2.
Beyond Meta, a few supporting channels:
| Channel | What you can see | Weight |
|---|---|---|
| Quiz / listicle interstitials | ClickBanger, a landing-page tool, uses its quiz funnel as a case study in its 10-12 blog. The first question is "Puffy face in the morning, socks leaving marks on your legs?" | Medium |
| Other ad networks | The store has two landing-page groups, ax-en-* and afh-en-* (built 2026-08 and 09), possibly AppLovin e-commerce ads and affiliates, unverified. | Unknown |
| TikTok Shop creator seeding | Dozens of #truenutra videos, each getting a few hundred to 8,900 views; the official account has 5,170 followers. | Small |
| Trustpilot | A paid business account on 2026-05, 1,269 reviews | Used to ease doubts, not to drive traffic. |
Landing pages are named by channel-language-product-batch (fb-en-lc001, fb-en-bsc001…), dozens in total, with one page per channel and per creative batch, so they can attribute each sale to a specific ad.
How the money comes back: $29 is just the entry ticket
The front-end price is $29 a bottle with buy-one-get-one, which alone can't pay for Meta traffic. The money comes after:
- The post-checkout add-on ladder. Of the store's 212 product listings, roughly a hundred are one-time add-ons, running from "buy two get two" at $270 up to "buy thirteen get thirteen" at $1,260. There are also filler items like "shipping protection" at $10, "plant a tree" at $3, and a "mystery gift." They pop up right after checkout, pushing you to stock up.
- Subscriptions. "Save 60%" plus the "6-week challenge for lifetime supply" get people signed up first and keep them from cancelling.
- SMS sales follow-ups. Agents signed Alice, Ashley and Jamie text and call the same day, confirm the address, ask health questions, then offer a "personalized discount" that turns one bottle into three and a one-time purchase into a subscription. The store advertises "replies within 5 minutes." From the outside you can't tell whether this is a sales team or a semi-automated texting system with agent names attached (one customer said the number Alice texted from doesn't answer when called back). Inference: most likely real people working from scripts and templates.
The costs are just as visible. Trustpilot's own AI summary notes that "some customers faced confusing billing and accidentally ordered." One-star reviews describe cancelling a subscription in July and still being charged in 8, 9 and October; another was charged $956 and needed over a week of chasing to get a refund. People on JustAnswer and Facebook ask "how do I cancel True Nutra subscription," YouTube has videos asking "is True Nutra legit or a scam," and the third-party supplement rating site SuppCo gives it 5.88/10. Refunds, chargebacks and complaints are what it trades for growth.
Revenue isn't public, and no one has posted numbers online. Judging by the ad volume across roughly two thousand ads, monthly ad spend is at least six figures in USD. Estimate, low confidence.
Who's competing
| Name | Format | How it differs from True Nutra |
|---|---|---|
| Lymphoria | Herbal tincture, a single lymphatic product, sold on the site plus Amazon and Walmart | About 4,800 Trustpilot reviews, more than True Nutra; no add-on ladder |
| Cleantra | Drops: bought sponsored articles in USA Today and ran YouTube creator reviews 8-20 | Relies on advertorials and reviews, not massive video volume plus SMS sales |
| Aeki, Senior Health Guide, Native Bloom | Webshops built on the same "middle-aged health anxiety + Meta ads" play | Running 422 / 422 / 187 ads (Meta ad library, November), more than 4 times True Nutra's count |
| White-label "6-in-1 Lymphatic Complex" listings on Amazon (Peehss, holleen and others) | Same formula, same name, cheaper | No paid acquisition, funnel or sales team |
| Nature's Sunshine, MaryRuth's and other established brands | Retail and Amazon | Transparent pricing, no direct-response funnel |
Some are even riding its coattails: truenutra-usa.com is a fake review page with AI-generated images of NBC, CBS, FOX and USA Today logo walls, claiming "over one million users," with every link going to another white-label store selling everything. Someone is even siphoning its branded search traffic.
How many people know about it
Buyer-side discussion is heavy, but mostly asking "is this a scam" and "how do I cancel." Among ad-buying peers it's a known case study (ClickBanger's blog); on X almost nobody has mentioned it in the last 90 days, and no venture or media outlet has dissected it. The playbook isn't new: "cheap front-end + add-on ladder + subscription + phone sales" is the decades-old US supplement direct-response playbook, and True Nutra just moved it onto Meta video and SMS.
If it were you
In one line: you can learn a complete supplement paid-acquisition funnel from it, but copying it to build a lymphatic detox webshop doesn't pay off for most indie developers.
Who it suits: a team already running five-figure-plus monthly budgets on Meta, able to produce creative in volume, with a US entity and payment processing, and willing to accept chargeback rates and regulatory risk.
Who it's NOT for: solo devs who can only code; anyone with a budget of a few thousand dollars who wants to test small; anyone unwilling to touch the "structure/function claim" grey zone. The category is already packed with Lymphoria, Cleantra and a pile of white-label clones. The product itself has no moat. The barrier is ad budget and creative output, and you'll be burning money on creative tests in the first month.
How to do it: Do it, but don't build "another lymph capsule." Copy the funnel. Pick an audience or country that hasn't been carpet-bombed by thousands of ads yet (German-speaking markets, Australia, or adjacent anxieties like blood sugar and sleep). Start with a white-label product from a contract manufacturer, low-priced front end, one to three upsells post-checkout, subscription unchecked by default, one-click cancel. SMS follow-up is worth doing, but only to confirm addresses, answer questions and suggest add-ons, not to place orders for customers. That's where it gets the most complaints, and it's where you can beat it by being cleaner.
How to get traffic: Mostly Meta video. Ship dozens of new creatives a week, one landing-page set per batch. Put a 3–5 question quiz page in front ("Puffy in the morning?") to filter people before the product page. Trustpilot review invites fire automatically after delivery.
When to get in: Don't rush for the window. Heat in this category rides social trends. Lymph detox has already reached the stage where Amazon white-labels flood the shelves. Getting in late is worse than switching products.
What would mean you read it wrong: ① Its active Meta ad count keeps climbing over the next month instead of falling from 1,700. That would mean the unit economics here are wider than they look, and it's worth getting in earlier. ② The reverse: if its ad spend is cut in half before year-end, or Trustpilot gets a warning label, or the FTC or payment processors step in, the funnel's risk has eaten the profit. Then even copying it means copying only the clean half.

Bottom line
True Nutra is a US supplement Shopify store led by its "6-in-1 Lymphatic Detox Capsules," with a dozen or so other SKUs including blood sugar, D3K2, B-complex and magnesium. It took off on three things: roughly 1,700–2,000 ads running on Meta at once, mostly video; landing pages and post-checkout flows packed with buy-more-save-more offers, subscriptions and one-click add-ons; and live agents (Alice, Ashley, Jamie…) who call and text after purchase to move single-bottle buyers up to 3-bottle bundles and onto subscriptions. The "×3.6" climb in Tranco rank is largely an illusion: the brand merged old domains like mytruenutra.com, hellotruenutra.com and truenutrahealth.com into truenutra.com, so traffic was moved over from those. Adding the domains together, though, the volume really did grow. The product itself has no differentiation (six-ingredient capsules are already all over Amazon). What sets it apart is the full operating system of ads and conversion.
1. What it is
- Shopify store (internal name
babybuff.myshopify.com, so it started as a baby-products shop before switching to supplements). It currently has 212 product entries (truenutra.com/products.json, crawled 2026-11-07). - The earliest product was built on 2025-05-11, initially selling circulation and blood-flow products ("Blood Flow Breakthrough," "Circulation Max") and men's products (Performance Max). The paid-traffic landing page for 6-in-1 Lymphatic Complex,
fb-en-lc001, went up on 2025-09-30, and from 2026 it became the lead product. By 2026-10 they had added magnesium gummies and liquid NAD. - Pricing: list price $70, marked "Save 37%", single bottle at $29, buy-one-get-one and buy-two-get-two deals, subscription at "Save 60%," plus a "6-week commitment challenge" (take it daily for 6 weeks and you're entered to win lifetime supply). Refund promise: 90 days, no questions asked.
- Traffic is almost entirely web. No app found. There's a small TikTok account, @truenutrawellness (5,170 followers, 29 posts, via TikHub 2026-11-07).
2. Growth data
Tranco(traffic.rank_day)
| Month | truenutra.com best / worst rank | mytruenutra.com best / worst rank |
|---|---|---|
| 2026-08 | Not in the top 1M | 912,829 / 990,759 |
| 2026-09 | 482,808 / 858,216 | 643,929 / 727,441 |
| 2026-10 | 293,960 / 419,177 | 677,427 / 899,196 |
| 2026-11 (to 11-05) | 280,765 / 291,037 | 911,487 / 943,926 |
CrUX(traffic.crux_domain)
- mytruenutra.com was already in the global top 2026-05M from 1, top 100k in the US (2026-06 to 08), and top 100k in Australia and Canada. In other words, the brand had real volume before the domain switch.
- truenutra.com: US rank went from top 500k (2026-06) to top 100k (08) to top 50k (09), and Canada reached top 50k (09). Over the same period mytruenutra.com's US rank fell from top 100k to top 500k (09).
- Bottom line: the main domain has switched from mytruenutra.com to truenutra.com (mytruenutra.com, hellotruenutra.com and truenutrahealth.com all now 301 redirect to truenutra.com, 2026-11-07 verified). So the Tranco "off the list for 90 days → 280k" is mostly caused by the domain switch. But the combined US ranking rose from top 100k to top 50k, and that part is real growth.
Meta ads (metaads, Page "My True Nutra" 105755355881177)
- Active right now: 1,969 ads (11-01), 1,972 ads (11-03), 1,712 ads (11-06). Including paused ads, the historical total is 2,862 (11-01).
- The Page has only 492 to 573 likes, yet its category is listed as "Gifts / Jewelry/watches," which suggests an old Page repurposed for ads (the Page ID range is also quite old). It's a classic pure paid-traffic account: few likes, lots of spend.
- Of the 47 ads we saw, 86% are video. Every placement is on (FB / IG / Messenger / Threads / WhatsApp / Audience Network). There are only two copy templates: "Buy 1, Get 1 FREE! True Nutra's 6-in-1 Lymphatic Complex isn't like anything you've ever tried," and for the blood sugar version, "Your blood sugar will be balanced, your cravings gone." Every landing link carries a
?trybe=<8-character hash>parameter, likely used for per-creative attribution (which tool is behind it is unverified). - The first_ad_date on the card, 2026-08-20, is just the earliest ad we saw. They actually started much earlier: on Facebook there's a video from about 8 months ago, "Why are they suddenly pushing D3-K2 in our faces… Tru Nutra," which shows they were already pushing D2026K3 heavily at the start of 2.
3. Where users came from (growth tactics)
- Meta paid video, the main channel (confirmed): see the metaads data above. Landing-page handles are named by channel:
fb-en-lc001,fb-en-bsc001,fb-en-vdk00xand dozens more, showing that landing pages are built separately per channel and per creative batch. - Other paid channels (inferred): 2026-08-01 built
ax-en-lc001, and 2026-09-28 builtafh-en-bsc001 / vdk001 / lc001.axis most likely AppLovin Axon's e-commerce ads, andafhmay be an affiliate network or another media buyer. Both are unverified. - Presell / review interstitials: the store has products named
listicle(2025-06). ClickBanger, a landing-page tool vendor, cites the quiz funnel it built for True Nutra on its 2026-10-12 blog (the opening question is "Puffy in the morning, tight socks by night?"). This shows they insert quizzes and ranked lists between the ad and the product page. - TikTok Shop creator seeding (confirmed, small scale): from 2026-07 through November there are dozens of creator videos tagged #truenutra (@kymieann 6.4K views, @100yearoldhomestead 8.9K views, @firmeliona 3.1K views). Some are labeled "gifted" or "#tiktokshopblackfriday." Each video gets only a few hundred to a few thousand views. It's not a major source.
- Trustpilot for trust signals (confirmed): truenutra.com's Trustpilot page is a paid account claimed by 2026-05, with 1,269 reviews rated 4.6. mytruenutra.com has a separate page rated 4.5. Almost all positive reviews praise "Alice / Ashley reached out to me," which likely came from a post-purchase system that invites reviews and adds human follow-up (legitimate review prompting).
- Existing user migration: after the domain change, old customers and subscriptions moved over with it (mytruenutra.com 2026-05 entered CrUX). This is also one reason Tranco climbed so fast.
4. How the money comes back: breaking down the funnel
- Low front-end price: from $29 a bottle, written as "$70 regular price, buy one get one."
- Post-purchase one-time-offer (OTO) ladder: about a hundred of the 212 product listings are
one-time-offer-*, running from "buy one get two free" at $270 up to "buy one get twelve/thirteen free" at $1,170 and $1,260, plus "12 free bottles" at $1,080. So the stock-up offer pops up right after checkout. There are alsofree-mystery-gift,first-order-one-time-bonus-*,package-protection($10),plant-a-tree($3) andfree-shipping($14.91) as add-ons and bundle upsells. - Subscription: "Subscribe, Save 60%", paired with a "6-week challenge to win lifetime supply" to cut cancellations.
- Real-person sales callbacks: Trustpilot reviews repeatedly say things like "contacted personally by a real person who was genuinely interested in what my health goals were" and "Alice offered me a great deal … to receive 3 of each". A customer-service number +1 888-802-1794 supports SMS and claims "replies within 5 minutes". This is a phone sales team doing a second close.
- The cost: Trustpilot's AI summary also mentions "billing confusions … unintentional purchases". JustAnswer and Facebook "fb-answers" have posts like "how to cancel True Nutra subscription" and "called several times and still can't cancel". YouTube has "Is True Nutra Store LEGIT or SCAM?", claiming lost shipments and a fake "Made in USA" label. SuppCo gives the brand a TrustScore of 5.88/10. Refund and chargeback risk is what they're trading for growth.
5. Competitors
| Name | Where | Launched | Scale | How it differs from True Nutra |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Lymphoria(lymphoria.co) | Web + Amazon / Walmart | Unverified (active since 2026) | About 4.8K reviews on Trustpilot (trustpilot search page) | Sells a tincture of four herbs (cleavers / red clover / stillingia / prickly ash), focused on one lymph product; True Nutra sells capsules across a multi-product line |
| Cleantra(cleantra.com / trycleantra.com) | Web + Amazon Live | Not verified | 2026-08-20 bought a sponsored article on USA Today | Tincture, relying on media advertorials and YouTube creator reviews; True Nutra relies on Meta video plus real-person sales |
| Nature's Sunshine, MaryRuth's, NutraHarmony, Clean Nutra, etc. | Amazon / retail | Long-established | Big | Channels are retail and Amazon, not a direct-response funnel; prices are transparent, with no OTO ladder |
| Aeki (getaeki.com), Senior Health Guide (senzio.store), Yvette Brown (trynativebloom.com) | Meta paid acquisition DTC | 2026-03 / 2026-08 / 2026-07(metaads first_ad_date) | Running 422 / 422 / 187 ads (metaads 2026-11) | Same "midlife health anxiety + paid DTC" playbook; True Nutra is running more than 4 times as many ads |
| White-label "6-in-1 Lymphatic Complex" listings on Amazon (Peehss, holleen, Restore Motion AU, Green Peace, etc.) | Amazon / eBay / standalone sites | Late 2025 to 2026 (ASINs in the B0G range) | Not verified | Identical formula (burdock, dandelion, kelp, cleavers, rutin, bromelain), cheaper, but without ads or a sales team |
6. Copycats
- Formula copying: see the table above. The same six ingredients, the same "6-in-1 Lymphatic Complex" product are already everywhere on Amazon, eBay and several standalone sites.
- Name piggybacking: truenutra-usa.com is a WordPress interstitial. Its 2026-09/10 creatives include ChatGPT-generated images and a wall of NBC / CBS / FOX / USA Today logos, with the line "over a MILLION USERS". All links go to another white-label dropship store, thedeals-market.com (which also sells beetroot, multifocal glasses and creatine). So someone is capturing True Nutra's brand-search traffic. Also, trytruenutra.shop, buytruenutra.com and trytruenutrawellness.com are now disabled or expired. Whether these were the company's own old test stores is unverified.
7. Why it took off
- Picked a product that hit social trends: "lymphatic drainage / de-bloating": Reddit r/IsItBullshit and r/herbalism have people saying "a lot of ads for lymph system drainage products" and "targeted ads for a supplement by True Nutra" recently. The category heat came from the "lymphatic drainage" wave on TikTok.
- Heavy ad spend: close to 2,000 ads running at once and 2,862 in history, but the Page has only a few hundred likes. They're testing audiences with lots of video creative rather than relying on followers.
- Average order value pushed up by the funnel: front-end at $29, OTO ladder climbing past $1,000, plus subscriptions and real-person sales callbacks. This is how they can afford Meta traffic.
- Trust signals are bought and built: paid Trustpilot, real-person customer service, 90-day refunds, "5-minute replies", all aimed at easing midlife buyers' fear of being scammed.
- Domain consolidation merged scattered traffic onto one site, which is why the ranking looks like a sudden breakout.
8. Differentiation
The product has no differentiation; the formula has been copied everywhere. The real edge is in operations: product selection around midlife health anxiety, large volumes of video creative, a multi-layer OTO plus subscription, and a phone and SMS sales loop working together. That system is why it's growing. A white-label store that just lists the same capsules can't match its order value or repeat purchases.
9. How many people know about it
- Revenue isn't public. It's not on TrustMRR, and no founder has posted revenue on X. x-radar shows "true nutra" with 90 results in the last 0 days.
- There's plenty of consumer-side talk: YouTube reviews and "is it a scam" videos, JustAnswer, Facebook groups asking "has anyone tried it", and Reddit. But that's buyers talking, not peer advertisers.
- Some people in the ad industry use it as a case study: ClickBanger blog (2026-10).
- Verdict: circulating in small circles. Ad and supplement DTC people know this playbook, but True Nutra itself hasn't been broken down by venture media or major X accounts.
10. What to borrow
- Landing pages are named by "channel-language-product-batch" (
fb-en-lc001), with one landing page per channel and per creative batch, for easy attribution. - The post-purchase OTO is built as a long ladder across many SKUs, testing different gift counts and prices.
- Real-person sales callbacks plus SMS customer service: raises order value, cuts refunds, and generates Trustpilot reviews.
- Old Pages and old Shopify stores are renamed and reused, multiple domains are tested, and then they're merged into one main domain.
