Not promising: the paid-acquisition hits on GP (AI palm reading, 'copy the challenge' party games) are Vietnamese studios' ad-monetization playbook. Small teams, don't chase them.
Closed Watch (the other side) · looks hot but depends on what small teams don't have (ad budgets and ad monetization) First spotted 2026-10-31 · last updated 2026-11-06
- Status
- Closed (not suited to small teams)
- Why this is written up
- GP's rising chart gets flooded with these apps, which looks like demand surging but is really arbitrage of paid acquisition plus interstitial ads.
- Confidence
- High. What would overturn this: one of these apps charting in the top 100 Top Grossing, or a similar app on iOS with thousands of ratings.

AI Palm Reading Kienmaly Mobi
Google Play · Launched 2026-10-12 · 11-07 installs 2,889,593
Data 2026-10-29 → 2026-11-07 (10 days, 10 observations). Google's detail page only refreshes install counts every other day, so a flat day doesn't mean nobody installed.
Data 2026-10-30 → 2026-11-07 (9 days, 9 observations)
- GP (2026-10-31, cumulative global installs, growth is the difference from the last observation): AI Palm Reading (Kienmaly Mobi, debuted 10-12) 1,955,737 installs, +637,894, #1 in Lifestyle Top Free across several stores; the same developer's Astrology: Palm Reader & Tarot (10-12) +112,451; Palmistry AI (9-18) +265,593. None of the first 10 palm-reading apps charted in any Top Grossing list; the developer sites are free hosts like netlify.app, blogspot and github.io.
- GP: MemeMix Challenge (Amobear VN, debuted 9-18) 8,344,112 installs, +722,622, best Top Free rank #2, and it hasn't charted in Top Grossing either.
App Store 1 pieces of evidence
- App Store (all stores): since 9-09, at least 10 mimic party games have appeared (Mimic Party Game, Mimic Talent, Jammr, Mimicbox…), and the best, Mimic Party ! (FoliesAPP), only reached #7 in Nepal's Top Free. There's no volume on iOS.
Who it's for
Only suitable for studios with a paid-acquisition team and ad-monetization experience.
Should every product builder know this?
Yes (used to filter noise when reading the GP rising chart).
Change log
2026-11-06
Merged: Reva - Personal AI Astrologer (Askk App, India's Mohalla Tech / ShareChat family, GP 58 days 7.64M installs) debuts on the my Top Grossing overall chart at #182. India's AI astrology is a big-company paid acquisition game. The "spiritual" cluster on the qualifying list has 5 apps today; the newly qualifying She Period & Pregnancy Tracker Page also pushes tarot, photo editing, and app lock, four unrelated apps, using the same fake-Page playbook.
2026-11-05
GP 7 days: AI Palm Reading +1,349,404 (2.67M cumulative) and MemeMix Challenge +1,560,891 (9.18M cumulative). Neither is on any top chart. Millions of installs a week with zero top-grossing ranking. The paid acquisition + ad monetization conclusion stands.
2026-11-04
The "manifestation / fortune-telling / spiritual" cluster on the qualifying list: 3 apps. Tripp Rianiw (39 likes, 38 live ads, landing page Tarot Reader 910k installs; the same Page also runs home decor and calorie apps), Tristan Ramirez (54 likes, 49 live ads, landing AI Photo Magic Editor 31.8M installs, also running tarot), and Stella - Manifest Anything. All fake-name Pages pushing several unrelated apps at once, the same playbook as the palm-reading group. Conclusion unchanged.
2026-11-02
GP 11-01 hasn't refreshed, unchanged. In the Meta ad library's top results, a reference point: "ai photo" and "ai video" each have ≥50k active ads in the US store (capped value). The heaviest spender on the first screen is Nexus - AI Video Generator (11.6M installs on Google Play), running the same paid acquisition playbook.
2026-11-01
No new GP data today, unchanged.
