Chart-monitoring tool for indie devs with "public charts, no authorization, rank alerts, shareable chart cards" ($30/year subscription), moving from the App Store to Play, Steam, Chrome Web Store, and Mac App Store
- Status
- Watching (only Toplify as a sample so far, with small volume; a string of zero-review copycats has already appeared on iOS)
- Why now, and how long the window lasts
- The number of indie developers is exploding with AI-assisted coding, and "which country's chart did I hit" is material they post on X. Apple doesn't offer alerts, and AppFigures and Sensor Tower don't bother with a need this small. There's no event window, but there are already 5+ clones on iOS.
- Confidence
- Low. What would overturn this: Toplify drops off the Developer Tools top-grossing chart in most storefronts (fewer than 10 storefronts). What would upgrade it: a similar product on a non-iOS store earns over $1,000/month on indie, or Toplify lands on indie showing MRR above $2,000.
Evidence
Grouped by store. Each group starts with the charts that can be graphed (real curves, data dates below the chart), then the scanner's original notes and source links.

- App Store (11-02 check): Toplify: App Rankings (6782706682,2026-07-25 launch, developer Chuta Dmytro, Ukraine) is charted today in 44 storefronts, of which 34 are on the Developer Tools top-grossing chart; best ranks are il #5, pt #7, ng #10, kr #17, at #20, de #43, fr #52, gb #70, us #117. From 10-28 to 11-02 it has been on the top-grossing charts in 32–34 storefronts every day, which is steady. The US rating went from 23 to 24 over 6 days.
- App Store (reported numbers, 11-01): charted in 37–40 storefronts, best at at #2 (10-29) and kr #5 (10-31); total ratings across all storefronts under 120, adding 0–2 per day.
- App Store (similar apps, 11-02 search): App Rank Tracker - Indie Devs (6763729011), AppsRank (6762045370), RankingCheck (6761634990), StoreGlance (6807185861,9-09 launch), AppTrack Ninja (6822261456,10-15 launch), and others, each with 0–1 ratings, with best category ranks no higher than #25. These have been copied on iOS, but no second one has broken out yet.
Mac App Store 1 pieces of evidence
- Mac App Store (11-02): the same package is only at #172 on the fr Developer Tools free chart (the report says #138 for 11-01), with essentially no volume on Mac.
Product Hunt1 pieces of evidence
- PH (2026-08-22): 373 votes, #1 on the daily chart. Pricing: developers in fewer than 4 countries get all Pro features free; otherwise $3.99/week, $7.99/month, $29.99/year, or $79.99 lifetime (reported numbers). The founder 8-17 says on X that they had 2,500 users two weeks after launch and charted in 69 countries (reported numbers, not verified).
Google Play1 pieces of evidence
- Google Play / Chrome Web Store (11-02 search): searching app rank tracker on Play returns no results; the Chrome Web Store only has old ASO toolkits (Appark with 10k users, NextGrowthLabs with 6,000 users). I haven't seen a version with "rank alerts plus shareable cards" on any other store.
Standalone product revenue (TrustMRR) 1 pieces of evidence
- indie (11-02 check): searching by toplify.app and by name returns nothing; revenue is unknown.
Already doing it
Toplify; the iOS clone batch above; and the established players AppFigures, Sensor Tower, and ASO.dev (6445911688).

The hardest step
Low ceiling, no moat. Anyone can scrape the chart data (our own App Store library is the same data). The only ones who'd pay are developers already charting in 4+ countries, and there aren't many of them. $30/year needs 1,000 paying users to reach $2,500/month.
Who it's for
Indie devs with a portfolio of products can use it as one of them, and move it to stores nobody has built alerts for yet: Steam (wishlists, top sellers), the Chrome Web Store (user count changes), Play (category charts). To make it big, you'd have to sell the API or the data to B2B.
Should every product builder know this?
No. But its acquisition design is worth copying: give the free users away, then use share cards so users post on X for you.
