Observation: Windows desktop enhancers (Dock / taskbar replacements, desktop zones, phone-to-PC linking). The pile of small tools crowding Mac has just produced its first paid one on Windows.

Grouped by store. Each group starts with the charts that can be graphed (real curves, data dates below the chart), then the scanner's original notes and source links.
Indie product revenue (TrustMRR)1 evidence · 1 products with curves
- indie (revenue verified via Polar, as of 11-01): lumabar (lumabar.xyz, "taskbar replacement for Windows 11 / 10, a Dock with live widgets", $5.99 one-time purchase, founded 2026-10-01, only Reddit listed as a channel, founder X 32 followers) $1,490 in 30 days, starting from zero in its first month. Among Windows tools in the same search that take payment, only it and a screen recorder ($156) show up.

Other sources (official sites, press releases, web pages) 1 pieces of evidence
- Compared with the Mac side: the notch / Dock / menu bar tools in [005][051] are already a red ocean, and the highest-ranked Mac one on indie, Cooldock, relies on paid acquisition. On the Windows side, the paid ones bring in only $1.5k/month, and nobody is crowding in yet.
My take
The Windows user base is much larger, but willingness to pay and distribution are the issues (there is no Windows equivalent of the Mac App Store or Setapp for one-time-purchase small tools). lumabar, with 32 followers, made $1.5k in a month mostly through Reddit, which shows people will pay for "Mac-style nice desktop tools" on Windows. The phone-PC linking branch is currently all free and open-source (with Microsoft Phone Link next to it).
What would upgrade it
lumabar's revenue doesn't drop in November (it's not a launch spike); or a second Windows beautifying / productivity tool passes $1k/month on indie. Downgrade: lumabar November < $500.
Who it's for
Individual developers who can build Windows-native (WinUI / Rust / Tauri), one-time purchases of $5–15, customer acquisition through Reddit and the YouTube customization crowd.
Should every product builder know this?
No (desktop tool builders should know this).
